    This is one of the best digital picture frames. Easy to set up and use. Great price if you can get it for less than 179.

    I think this frame is a good bit of kit, if a little expensive. It is of good quality but I do have concerns about the stand. The frame simply sits in a shallow slot and leans against the support. I can see it being easily knocked over. The management of the content by multiple people is good. I moved it easily between houses and different WiFi routers. It remembers previous settings like an iPhone. So for my relative in a care home it will be ideal for the family.

    Having purchased an early photo frame for my parents some years ago I was reluctant to purchase one for ourselves. BUT having seen so many beautiful photos & wonderful reminders of times with our family ‘held in the confines of my mobile’ we purchased a large Nixplay which I attached to a wall hiding the lead. Wow! We constantly stop at the beautiful photos offered, bringing up the emotions of the time. Definitely one of our best purchases.

    This is the second nixplay screen that I have bought and am really impressed with the update. I initially bought the Nixplay Seed for my elderly relatives who although have good IT interaction, would rather have a solution that is just plug and play. The initial Nixplay Seed did have its challenges and at the point that I bought it, the site and (early) app did not have French as a selectable language which would have been far easier for me. There were some issues with updating firmware on the seed at the end which was resolved by CS who are always on hand via email or by an arranged call. The service here has been second to none and they are clearly customer focussed and are totally committed to their product.

    As with the seed, the Touch arrived in great packaging with slick branding and is on par with major tablet manufacturers, which is ideal for gifting. The frame itself is easy to set up and looks outstanding. The touch is so easy to use, especially in conjunction with the app and it now includes French which is a great addition. The playlists are easy to select and play either in their entirety or individually via the app or touchscreen. The timers/snooze functions are as previous and the sensor is now audio rather than motion sensor which works well. If you do not opt for the nixplay plus, then you are able to upload video up to 15 seconds from the app which is more than enough.

    The screen is easily rotated to portrait or landscape to maximise the screen area, or the software can either clip or fill area depending on the setup if you do not want to rotate the frame. I find that having a portrait/landscape playlists and just playing one or the other is a good solution – if your are as pedantic as I am. You can also operate through Alexa now too, which is a great function for those who are not so tech savvy – once set up by someone who is. I would always recommend unpacking and setting up with the recipient if possible to set up accounts etc. or do it in your own name prior to gifting if you want to oversee the account. Once set up, it is easy to send pics through Google photos, Facebook/Instagram and email as well as their app.

    This is an ideal present for giving loved ones current updates – or reliving old memories if like me you are digitising your old 35mm library. The HD IPS display looks great and the 10.1 inch is an ideal all round size for viewing. The encrypted servers are GDPR compliant and although I was unsure about the longevity of using a cloud based photo frame, I am now on my second Nixplay and frankly, for ease of use, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Great customer service backs up an outstanding produc

    The frame was simple to set up and share with relatives. I created a Nixplay account and gave login information to relatives- in two separate households- to directly upload. I have also successfully sent photos via the created Nixplay email. Nana (Great-Nana) has enjoyed viewing all the photos. We have not needed to delve into the custom-features.

    I bought this for my parents who moved far away for myself, my kids and my sister to send pictures to. They all loved it so much, I ended up buying one for my daughter as well.

    Got this for my mom for her birthday. Super easy to set up. The only thing I didn’t love is that it’s not really something you can surprise someone with. It can only be connected to one person, so you’ll need their phone to set it up.

    The function of having others email photos is easy. I gave the email address to my mom’s siblings and friends and they’ve had no problem sending, and my mom has had no issues adding them to the frame.

    I’ve had an issue with not being able to set the transition to a certain type and keep the photos random. It seems to only do random transitions and random photos OR one transition and photos in the order of upload. Annoying, as I don’t like the fancy transitions, but my mom doesn’t seem to mind.

    The setup was very easy, using a public WiFi at a Senior Living Center. The screen resolution and picture quality is excellent. My siblings and I have sent several photos to the Nixplay and my Mom is thoroughly enjoying it!

    I love this picture frame! It is so fun to see the faces of the people I love flashing across the screen. My family has emailed photos and I’ve found it very easy to add and manage the photos through the app. It’s nice to be able to create playlists of pictures or just play them all.

    I have the black frame and it looks very nice in my home. I like being able to set it up horizontally or vertically. The stand for the frame is very sturdy. I highly recommend this frame.

    Touch expensive but I think its worth the money. Set up including creating the account and downloading the app took 5 minutes. It also has the ability to have 4 playlists to add pictures. One playlist is an auto sync so any time new pictures added automatically will be visible. So that feature in itself is great for me.

    We purchased this for my mother in law for Christmas. She just lost her husband and thought they would be a great way for her to get new pictures and know we are all thinking of her when we can’t be with her. Instantly everyone started to send her pictures as soon as we set it up. We even found out that it will play videos. Definitely a great gift to give.

    I just wrote a review for another NIXPLAY frame that I purchased along with this one. I love the way this updated frame looks. I love the way it is programmable from your tablet. It is elevated in its design. It warms my heart sitting in the room and watching our family memories just appear and move on to more. It was always in my plans to buy one of these automated frames. I am so happy that I finally did and I couldn’t be happier with my NIXPLAYS.

    I don’t get to see my father very often so as a Christmas present I got this frame and set it up for him so that my siblings and I could send cute new photos for him to have in his home office. It works great and the app is useful and the main reason I bought this! It is on the pricey side but with the in app photo sharing it was well worth the cost since my dad loved it!

    Great easy to use frame. I bought for my 87 year old father enabling us to share pictures with him since he does not use a smart phone or email. We just send pictures to it via email and then we can call and tell him about them, or just add a caption and let him sit and enjoy…. ever updating thru our phones.

    My daughter has a collection of photos of her cousins and other relatives and loves to see them. She has tended to look at them on a tablet, but the idea of an electronic photo frame appealed to her.

    Out of the box this looks to be well made and provides a decent pixel count. It is just the right size for a sideboard or chest of drawers and it is the latter location my daughter selected for this frame.

    Setup was very easy, an app is needed on your phone and then the setup continues from here. You link the frame to your wireless network, select the images you want to display, select a timeframe for the screen to go to sleep and away you go. The images are displayed and cycled through. There is a facility for motion sensing so that the image display starts as you enter the room. She didn’t bother with this and simply enables the schedule for the times she is Ian her room with the display going to sleep at bedtime.

    If you’ve got a selection of digital images you want to see and don’t want to print these out on card or canvas, then this is a great option. There are feature we haven’t used and I do wonder if leaving these out would be an option for cutting the cost a little? Other than that, it does the job it is designed for and seems to be reasonable value for money.

    This Nixplay 10.1-inch touch screen digital picture frame is a beautiful, high-quality addition to my living room that can share photos and videos directly from my phone.

    It has a full HD touch screen panel that gives direct access and control of the frame. The frame can be displayed in portrait or landscape and has a detachable stand that reveals a wall mount so it can be free standing on a desk or hung up on the wall.

    The digital frame allows you to share photos and 15 second videos clips between families securely. It supports Google Photos, Dropbox, Facebook, and Instagram to ensure the frame always has up to date photos.

    Furthermore, it has an activity sensor which automatically turns the frame on/off and works with Amazon Alexa so can play sounds by just asking for the playlist you would like.

    I find that it does put pressure on you too sign-up for their subscription service especially if you have more than one frame which is disappointing considering the price of these frames in the first place.

    Overall, this is a luxurious, premium digital photo frame and is worth looking into if you don’t mind paying the price.

    Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersOh, this looks so good and my photos look pin sharp and fabulous, that’s because I’m a fantastic photographer of course, but they display so nicely on this.

    The frame feels premium and can be set down either in landscape or portrait it sits firmly and has enough weight to it that it does not feel as though it will tip over easily.

    The frame comes well packaged and would make an amazing gift for a family member, especially if you need to get in with the in-laws, cuddly photos of the nippers always goes down a treat with them. Plus, the functionality of being able to just send photos to the frame without actually having to see the In-laws is a superb added bonus.

    The image quality is true to the colours of your original photo, and the 15 second video clips are perfect for slow motion120fps clips of kids splashing in pools or running up to the camera, simply fantastic and you will catch yourself getting drawn in to photos you’ve long forgotten existed.

    It’s a brilliant thing if just a little pricey, but overall, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed and I highly recommend.

    Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersIntroduction

    I have a couple of digital frames and I have to admit, this one by ‘Nixplay’ is the best looking frame I have owned and seen to date, it has a smart and sleek look.

    Even the box is very professionally presented and which gives a good sense of a “premium” feel when unboxing the product.

    Box Contents

    * Digital photo frame.
    * Frame Stand.
    * Power cable.
    * Wall plug and screws (optional to use).
    * Quick start guide.
    * Set-up guide.

    Set-Up

    First things first, you will need to download the ‘Nixplay’ app on your smart device and create an account. Once you have an account, power on the frame and follow the instructions, it’s very simple to set-up the frame and get photos onto it.

    I would advise not mix and matching portrait orientated photos with landscape, it just doesn’t look right, so I personally would recommend sticking to one or the other and go into the settings to “fill” the screen.

    You can adjust various settings such as the transition styles, time between each photo, set-up schedules and activate motion detection etc…

    Results

    Picture quality will depend on the photo quality you send to the frame; it features a HD screen, so if you send decent quality photos, it will display them very clearly. If you send a pixilated photo, obviously the quality won’t be good and that is totally out of the frames control.

    With the positives aside, I feel that Nixplay are pushing it a bit with their subscription service which albeit it being an optional service, it does pressure people to sign-up if they have more than one digital frame as they cannot register and organise more than one frame without a subscription. Considering these digital frames are available at a premium price already, I think this is unacceptable.

    My other frames rely on the ‘Frameo’ app which don’t require subscriptions for multiple frames.

    Final Thoughts

    It’s a decent frame but I feel that if you were to take away the premium looking design, you would have a frame which works just as well as some of the cheaper brands.

    So it really depends on what you’re looking for. If looks is of high importance, then I would recommend this digital frame if you don’t mind the premium price, otherwise, there are plenty of third party brands available at a much more affordable price.
