Bread on demand with little effo
I tried to make bread in the past and the results varied. This machine simplifies the process, and the results have been very consistent. Perfect loaf made every time, from ingredients or a packet mix. Even the sourdough from our existing starter was perfect. And all with minimal effort….I am extremely impressed with this machine as it delivers exactly what it promised every time

TL:DR – does what it says on the tin just as well as the SD 255. Panasonic shouldn’t have tried to improve on that.

The jury’s been out on this one. I was forced to replace my trusty SD255 as plastic parts were getting brittle and failing faster than I could replace them.
This machine seems to work just as well as the SD255.
However. Instead of selecting flour type, process, etc., you select from one of about 30 predefined programs. I guess that’s just a new route to an old destination.
It has a smaller footprint than the 255, but being oblong instead of square, requires more counter length to accommodate it. Hmm…
Finally, the display panel has been angled virtually horizontal, so you have to get your head above it to read it. Not good you’ve got cupboards over your counter.
All in all, a good machine that didn’t need “improving”.
Fresh baked bread 🍞
Easy to use, breadmix in, water in, select appropriate programme, walk away (ensure its not right on the edge of the worktop) return when finished to an amazing smell and a lovely loaf.
**Paddle is designed to have some play on the shaft, some reviews put this as a fault but it’s made that way**
Great machine.
Our last Panasonic bread maker lasted ten years and only died as the bucket and paddle had worn out so loafs got stuck. It was more economic to buy a new machine but just needed a new bucket really.
Easy to use, reliable & delicious recipes, great tasting bread. Cakes are perfectly baked and dough beautifully kneaded. I’m really enjoying making my own bread and the Panasonic is a worthwhile purchase. The screen is small but perfectly readable. I would recommend to friends and family
My first bread make
Comes with recipes so made my first loaf easy to make. Very pleased with this bread maker altho I have no experience with any other! Easy to use and clean and makes a delicious loaf, in fact on at the moment!
Makes a really good loaf!
On first use, I was very disappointed by what appeared to be a pointless (almost) 2 hour ‘rest’ at the beginning of the program. I still don’t know what that’s for, but I do know that using exactly the same ingredients, it makes a vastly superior loaf to the previous machine I owned (which seized up after years of service).
