Pet Gear Happy Trails No-Zip Stroller, Emerald Gree
Why use a pet stroller?
Pet strollers are used for a variety of reasons. They help avoid stress on your pet’s body if they are having trouble walking due to joint pain, arthritis, or recent surgery. Strollers also function as a crate on wheels. Wherever you go, your pet, whether it be a dog, cat, furry (or not so furry) friend, will be able to keep you company while remaining safely contained inside the stroller.
What is No-Zip?
No-Zip is one of the most innovative feature in pet strollers today. All strollers with the No-Zip feature have an easy-locking latch instead of a zippered closure. No zippers means no hassle, when trying to open and close the stroller. No-Zip technology allows you to easily gain access to your pet without fumbling with zippers.
Do I need Air Ride?
If you plan on jogging with your pet, taking your pet on long walks or to locations with rough terrain, the type of wheels on the stroller is a key factor to consider. The recommended tire type for any of the previously mentioned activities is Air Ride. Air Ride tires add extra comfort for your pet and provide an effortless stroll. With Air Ride you will also be able to lock the front wheel. This aids in stabilizing the stroller when jogging or traveling over rough terrain.
How do I select the best fit?
Please refer to the comparison chart below (Interior Dimensions / Pet Cabin Size) when selecting your stroller. If you are wondering if your pet(s) will fit in a certain stroller, a good visual guide (especially if you intend to use the stroller for more than one pet) is to take a towel and fold it to the same interior dimensions (length and width) as the stroller. Then, place your pet(s) on the towel to make sure they will fit within the space comfortably. You should also measure the height of your pet when sitting to make sure they are at least 4 inch less than the interior height dimension listed for extra comfort.

Well built and sturdy. My cat always jumps in it to go for a walk. Highly recommend.
Very easy to assemble – and once put together it seems very sturdy. We hve been using it on a daily basis for a couple of weeks or so now and I haven’t found any problems or dislikes. My little dog can’t walk far anymore but still loves to go on her daily trips to the forest with her chums … so this is ideal. Recommended
This pram is absolutely gorgeous very easy to ensemble and quite sturdy the only thing that let’s it down is the wheels they are not fit for purpose very hard to push especially on surfaces that are not smooth but having said that I’m still very happy with my purchase and my 2 dogs fit perfectly in it .
My dog loves to ride and nap in his stroller, built well and rides nice.
Dislike non-telescoping handles. I am 5’7′ and find myself hunching over as the handle(s) are too short for me and I end up with lower back pain.
Is there an extension available?
It could be more solid. My dog is 20 lbs and the bottom isn’t as solid as I would have liked. At least it doesn’t tip like the others. Love the colour and no zipper closure.
I’ve had this stroller for about two months now. It was easy to assemble. Puppy wasn’t to big on it at first but loves it now. I can walk puppy and use one hand to move stroller. It’s very light! I have used it to walk over three and a half miles a day to and from Dog sitter and it’s held up pretty well. Wheels are good.
I love the product overall. My dog is 13 pounds and it fits her perfectly. She is starting to have issues with her back leg and this is a great option for putting her in when she tires. Can’t wait to take it on vacation!
I have a 14 year old Dachshund that doesn’t like to leave her home. Never has. Because she is prone to weight gain, I walk her several blocks a day. With age, she is losing some strength in her hind legs. Soooo, long story short as I can, I put her in the stroller until we get down to the end of the first block. Then she’s ready to walk the rest of the way to get home. It saves me from carrying her so far. She’s 22lbs so this is a game changer. She actually likes being in it. The stroller is long enough for her which most aren’t. It’s more like a buggy. It maneuvers pretty well and is holding up well. I didn’t assemble it, but was told it wasn’t hard. I also haven’t folded it, so can’t comment on that. It has a lot of nice features for the money! I highly recommend!
Love it to get my yorkies out when I walk
I purchased this stroller after my pug had undergone spinal surgery and isn’t able to walk on her own. This stroller has been a god sent, as we’ve still been able to go out on our daily walks with her wrapped up in it and it’s helped all of our mental health greatly! I’m not sure how long the wheels will last as they’re only foam, but for the time being it is great and easy to manoeuvre.
This is a good value for the money. It’s the second stroller I’ve owned and this one is a whole lot nicer then the previous one. I’m very happy with it and so is my dog!!
I love it especially the latch instead of zipper for closure. My housecat is shy and I am trying to get him to be more outgoing riding in his stroller. Lots of meowing right now.LOL!
We bought this stroller because our elderly Cairn Terrier isn’t physically able to take long walks, but we want to be able to take her with us when we walk for longer trips. Perfect choice!
It assembles very easily with no tools required – just clip on the front wheels and rear wheels. Can be used with the top cover folded back (as in photo), or folded down to lock with mesh surrounding our fur baby. It has a clip inside that attaches to collar or halter, so we have the cover folded back most of the time.
Our girl is a mid-size Cairn Terrier, weighing about 24 pounds. Nice length and height for her to sit upright (as in photo) or lay down if she gets tired. It’s also easy to get to her from the open area (see photo) when she is ready to be out to greet other dogs or people.
The lower basket offers plenty of space for leash, bottled water, waste bags, and more. It has elasticized sides for access. The top rack on the handle has good space for two mugs or bottles; plus a little shelf in between where I put my gloves when it is cold.
We have used this every day since we bought in two weeks ago! Sturdy stroller with wheels that maneuver over most surfaces. Our girl couldn’t be happier because it gives her the ability to go on near-daily walks without stressing her vulnerable legs and joints!
Makes it so much easier to take our dogs into shops, just zip the top up and awaywe go! We’ve used it at outside seating restaurants also. ….luv that my elderly dog can lay down and still see where she’s going
This pet stroller is a decent choice. We already have a more expensive stroller at our home, but we spend the winter in FL and it’s not convenient to take with us. So we bought this one which was considerably less expensive and will leave it here in storage when we return home. It’s a nice little stroller and serves the purpose well. It’s easy to push, although if you’re tall the handle may be a little low for you (I’m 5’2″ so it’s perfect for me). The no-zip feature is very nice, and convenient but I’m not certain how durable it is. Time will tell.
The negatives are: (1) The cup tray is a pain to install…and is virtually useless as the cup holders are so shallow that nothing will stand up in them if you hit even a tiny bump, so I removed the tray, and (2) Even though the stroller does have a clip-on restraint to clip onto the dog’s harness or collar, it is so flimsy it may not really secure the animal AND more importantly, there is only one restraint clip. My other stroller has two…one on each side and they are sturdy.
Surprisingly easy to assemble, and so far appears to be sturdy. Easy to manoeuvre, but solid rather than air tyres don’t give such a smooth ride. Fabric construction of main stroller is tough and seems durable. The interior restraining strap is very flimsy however. All in all it was value for money.
So good sturdy well worth the money my little chihuahua love it Delivery before time ….it’s changed our lives …I need to use a rota walker but with this buggy I can just use this …. win win for my chi and me excellent product well worth the money
Strong, reliable, easy to assemble. Still going strong after 3 years of use, ideal for elderly or dogs with arthritis who can’t walk long distances, they can still get out and enjoy the fresh air and scenery.
This pram is excellent in every way. I was keen to buy one with 4 wheels for better maneuvering. The mesh front is great for my dog to sit and look out of. Sturdy Built and lovely to look at too. So pleased with it i like to show it off.
My small dog is having some fear of bird scarer issues at the moment and has been refusing to go for a walk.
I have 2 other dogs that need walking. So this ticks the box for me.
She has a ‘safe haven” on wheels when required and doesnt have to miss out by staying at home all the time.
She is around 5 kg and it fits her well.
Any bigger then she’d have no room to fidget.
This pushchair has been invaluable for us after our puppy broke some toes and couldn’t walk much.
It is easy to put up/put into the car.
It is easy to push along when the street is smooth and straight. However, the wheels do quite frequently get stuck into a straight course when navigating bumps in the pavement or trying to turn.
It is a little ‘plasticky’ but that is probably what has kept the weight and cost down.
We are not sure how long it will last but it was not expensive so probably isn’t meant to last a long time.
Nice colour easy enough to build. Good amount of room for small dogs. Easy to push the only thing I would have liked would have been for the wheels to be a bit more sturdy but overall its great!
There is no getting away from the fact that you’re going to look like a crazy person pushing this thing down the road, but, for me, it has been a lifesaver in getting my chubby kitty to and from the vets. No more back and arm pain for me, and I think the cat actually quite enjoyed the journey!
It was nice and easy to set up, and folds down for easy storage. It’s a nice colour, is sturdy and well made, and isn’t too heavy to carry up/down stairs. I’m so glad I bought this.
Exerlent I’m very pleased and the facet it is British make me happy
Brilliant stroller very well made. Bought cheaper strollers in the past that don’t last long ! My dogs love that they can see all round. Quite expensive but worth paying that extra
I bought this for my 11 year old frenchie who has limited mobility & athritus he is one very happy dog we had so much fine wheeling him about I’m it today
Just have to say how brilliant this product is.
My aged jack russel Rosie who now suffers from arthritis, cant keep up on the walks with our other dogs so opted for this stroller so she can be included more often..
She is 7kg and has ample room to sit or lie down. Safely tethered she draws quite a crowd..good storage space underneath and invaluable holders for essentials.
Sturdy and practical, easy to assemble and folds flat for stairs he.
Waterproof and safe overhead cover with mesh for all round vision, we love it loads and as you can see the other dogs love to cheekily hop in as well 🙂
I bought this to use at dog shows. Brilliant, I could get three dogs my bags, chairs etc from car to field in one go.
The dogs felt safe in it whilst I had one in the ring. I had it open up and it was so much nicer than them being put into a crate
Easy to assemble easy to keep clean excellent design wheels are a bit tough not quite as spongy as described by other reviews.
Highly recommended
I am very impressed with this, as is my 14 year old little lady. I bought this as we are off to the coast and have 2 dogs my boy is a lively soul but my girl is finding it hard to walk for long periods.
Easy to make up and very sturdy, love the cup holder and basket on the bottom can’t wait to get out and use this.
My girl weighs 15kg and is a staffy she can lay down in this and I think she wouldn’t have liked it if it had of been bigger as she might of moved around more
My border terrier who is nearly 12 injured her leg and I had to rest her. The buggy came into its own for we could walk down to the sea front
And then I took her out to do her business and we sat and watched everyone. Having this buggy has given her the chance to go out and about
The good news is she’s better now but the buggy was a good investment for when she’s older.
I have two Maltese shih tzu’s (8kg and 5kg) and this stroller fits both girls in nicely. I’ve used it 5 times so far for at least an hour per journey and it’s held up really well. I was most impressed by how tough the mesh viewing holes are. My littlest dog was desperate to get out for the first 5 minutes and was scratching frantically at the mesh from inside. Not even a tear! Both dogs got used to it within 15 or so minutes and now they really love coming out with me. I hated leaving them behind when we went shopping because they were nervous and would tear things up if left alone for more than 20 minutes. Now I can take them everywhere with me. I popped a nice little padded bed in to protect their feet from the wind while we’re walking and a blanket over the top that I pull over when we go into shops. Nobody even second guesses it! Plus they just turn around and peek through the back viewing mesh and nobody notices! I love this so much. I will make a video review eventually but for now here’s some happy snaps of our times so far.
I bought this for my rescued ex puppy farm Shihtzu who is petrified of a lead so cannot be bought out for a walk. She’s terrified of people too and cowered in the corner shaking if we pick her up. So this buggy is the best thing I ever got for taking her and my other Shihtzu out. It’s handy for me to get them out and it has been admired so much. Five gold stars for design but it could be a little better quality fits nicely in the back of my car.
Love it! Excellent value – only slight problem with front wheel sticking
fantastic product helps us keep our disabled one eyed pug going would not be able to cope without it this is our second one very pleased
Absolutely delighted! The buggy has made all to difference to our young pooch. At 15 1/2 years Harry is out and about and so are his happy pet humans!
I brought this because I have 3 small dogs with different medical needs, I was really pleased with the clip closing instead of a zip. there was room for my 3 small dogs. The only thing that good be better are the wheels, its a rough ride for the dogs on uneven ground or even on the pavement. For the price I think the wheels could have been better as there are a lot more on the market a lot cheaper. Also it doesn’t fold completely flat but is easy to fold up, I like the strap inside to fix to your dog’s collar would have like too but there was a ring also that you could use, the basket at the bottom was good to carry things as was the cup holders on the handle Over all a very good purchase
Use this a lot when travelling on trains, brilliant for whizzing through crowded stations – dog doesn’t get stood on. Folds up for luggage area, or sometimes there’s an open communal section on trains and I just park him in it. Little water bowl, open the top, everyone who passes has to say hello.
My ragdoll kitten absolutely loves going out for walks in her pram. When I’m getting my dog ready for a walk, my kitten jumps in her pram and waits. She also wears a harness and a lead so I can let her out for a walk when there are no other dogs nearby.
Very pleased with this stroller and my 16 year old terrier is very happy to use it when he gets too tired to carry on walking. He is quite a chunky chap weighing 13.5 – 14 Kg and the Stroller takes his weight and length which is just ove r24″ very well. Good buy would recommend.
I was amazed by the superb high quality of this doggy buggy. I loved it immediately- couldn’t have hoped to find a better one. It’s just perfect. My husband and I love going for long walks but one of our dogs isn’t so keen anymore so he gets popped into the buggy as and when he needs it.
Good quality, good price, seems escape-proof. We haven’t tried it outside yet, only around the house. Easy to put together, and folds relatively flat. Although it does take up space in the wardrobe. Very good buy, we’re looking forward to trying it outside!
My Benji had a hip op and this stroller was perfect for his recovery……it’s now his best safe place.
Purchased this stroller for our jack Russell cross chi who has a bone growth problem in his front leg. He is only 3.4kg and fits into this stroller perfectly, however we do not feel that a dog of 15kg in size will fit quite as well.
Arrived in box with assembly needed. All parts were correct thank goodness. Instructions a little strange and after going on the pet gear website later found some details missing.
Overall we are very pleased with the stroller, Indy can now get out down to the park or further afield without being carried.
The storage basket is large enough for all we might need and strong. the drinks holder is great for putting treat bags biscuits(dog and people),drinks, coins or keys. The only downside is when it rains the holder fills with rain water, although this gave us an idea and you can pull off the holder easily and use it to give your pet a drink. the folded lock hook is also very handy for hanging a full busy bag until you find a bin. Folds easily and collapses fine if done correctly(this was missing on instructions),fits into my small cars boot.
This stroller was one of the better designs for the money. It can be undone one handed, as no zips to get stuck, and the view for Indy is excellent as he can see all around when the front is closed without having to duck under or stretch over any material to see out.
I applied all the wheels as instructed however found the rear ones to be very wobbly, advised by a friend to try adding an extra washer on outside of wheels under the cotter pin, this has solved the problem, which will also reduce wear on the rear axle. We would also advise to add some oil or lubricant to all wheels as we didn’t and they started squeaking within a couple of days. Oil stopped it.
The handle isn’t long enough to the back, the height is ok but when walking we have to stand with our arms outstretched so we don’t kick the rear axle or wheels. the front wheels sometimes catch on uneven ground and spin or stop, locking wheels would be better.
However We like to recommend this stroller even with the problems, which are just niggles and we can live with them.
We used a normal baby pushchair rain cover and added a padded insert as the base is quite hard.
Our dog Shadow has breathing difficulties and collapses if he over exerts himself. As he weighs 11kg (Yorkie / Jack Russell cross) he is rather heavy to carry when he can no longer walk. We purchased this stroller for family holidays in Cornwall and it has proved to be a Godsend. I have wheeled him round St Ive’s, Falmouth and on the coastal footpath around the Lizard. It is surprisingly robust and stable. Light and compact. A good buy.
I wanted something that i’d be able to take my birds out in rather than using a pak-o-bird carrier that would scare them. I would definitely recommend this. My birds love it and I managed to get 2 foldable carriers that would fit in it.
Best thing I have ever bought puppy could come everywhere with us as he had not yet had his injections but he is very well socialised very strong even over rough ground like walking in woods ect extreamly pleased.
This really is a luxury item, and as such it dissapoints a little with niggles over quality.
The material already seems to have developed a hole, I think from movement as it’s been transported folded down.
The front wheels keep jamming, causing you to stop very abruptly. This is the most annoying problem!
The general feel leads me to believe I don’t think this is going to be a high-mileage machine. I certainly couldn’t imagine running with it – if that’s something you want to do you’ll need to look elsewhere.
I’m not especially tall (5ft9) but I find the handle low which becomes uncomfortable after a while.
Ultimately I don’t think I’d buy another one.
I’m really pleased with this stroller. It was easy to assemble and great value for money. I bought it for my little spaniel who has arthritis and can’t walk too far these days. As soon as she’s had enough and gets a bit sore out walking, she asks to go in it and happily sits in it peering out. I feel it’s really changed her quality of life for the better. It’s great on roads and tracks that are not too bumpy. It folds easily and is light. I would highly recommend i
So easy to assemble . It looks fantastic the wheels are strong .The last one we had wasn’t as strong ,hence after five years the smaller wheels buckled .The Emerald is a nice colour . We look forward to many happy days out and would recommend this stroller to everyone .The front is so well designed for my wee dog to see out ,he misses nothing First class
One of my dogs injured his back…this stroller has been a god-send. Instead of being left at home in the crate he can come with me & the rest of the pack for our walks. Then he can get out & do as much or as little as he can manage
Excellent value for money. Folding up needs to be done carefully as some of the material could snag on the frame and tear.
My dog has heart condition so bought this for holiday’s when she starts getting tired, easy to assemble.
Absolutely chuffed to bits with this buggy and so is my jack Russell. She loves it and sits very proud. Best purchase I’ve made in ages.
Fabulous not too expensive and does the job I love it. So does my lovely Westie, very comfortable, so needed as he is getting older but loves to be out and about. I can now take him in most shops.
THIS WAS GREAT FOR OUR HOLIDAY KEPT OUR PUPPIES SAFE WHY WE ENJOYED OURSELVES
I don’t have a dog but I do have severe osteoporosis so I am unable to bend which is what one has to do with the normal shopping trolley. A supermarket basket just fits on the top. I was expecting to get some strange looks, but in fact several people thought what a good idea and said it might start a trend.
Excellent. Unfortunately only used it four times, our dog was diagnosed with other problems which meant we had t decide to have him put to sleep. We now need to sell this item. It was ideal for him to have a small walk then return to stroler for the rest of the journey. Would recommend this product.
My Dizzy Lizzy cat loves her stroller. Tourist have even taken her photo sat in in. She loves the attention. I bought the no zip stroller due to me loosing sight 60% so not able to drive. Great for light pet food shopping, packet food. Bought black rain cover. So easy not having zips. My cat is soft, gentle. Would choose one with plastic if dog,cat more active trying to get out. Still buy from Pet Gear.
he product seems very well made and stable ,, the knack now is getting my dog to like it!!!
My dog has been put on 2 months complete rest for a cruciate ligament problem and I decided on this product to give her some sort of quality of life. It was my choice because of the Prime next day delivery which ended up taking over 24 hours longer than expected then when it arrives I unpack it and check all the parts are there and an essential part is missing. Amazon’s answer was to arrange a courier to pick it up five days later. Luckily enough I found the part in a fold of the buggy material not in the bags with all the other parts for the stroller I am happy with and my dog seems to be too and with the parts it is quite easy to assemble
This is a good product but I am very dissapointed with Amazon customer service as I needed this product quickly and they dissapointed me.
Just the job for my elderly little chitzu . Very strong and sturdy . Yet lightweight and easy to manoeuvre .
It is wonderful – I love it and my dogs too
Perfect mode of transport for one of my miniature schnauzers who has had cruciate repair surgery. Having the buggy means we can get out and about as normal. Folds easily for the car and we are able to enjoy our normal walks which is important for my,other dog who still needs her exercise.
Our little Angel loved it.was a great purchase.would recommend to any1.lightweight and sturdy.
Good quality easy to push and comfortable for my dog lovely
Perfect for my elderly llasa apso as she can’t walk as far as she used to and is very happy to sit and sniff the breeze it’s grea
It was a lovely product but I had to return it because it was too small for my dog even though he was within the weight limit he just couldn’t lay down comfortably. They do a bigger version but only in USA which is a shame.
This stroller is amazing!! it is easy to assemble, extremely robust and my dog took to it like a duck to water!! I have taken a long time to write this because where i live there are coastal cliff walks, nature trails, country parks and beaches to enjoy, and since my dog was injured he has not been able to explore his “old haunts”, now he can! I highly suggest buying this product, it will give any pet, injured or “getting on in years” a new lease of life, and the price was a bonus. Well done PET GEAR!!!!
My llasa apso ways 7kg. She can stretch out in this nicely . Ideal for an old dog for holidays etc when your out most of the day. In and out of shops ok too.
my little dog can only walk ten minutes at a time so this is great when i want to do a long walk i just pop her in and she loves i
Ideal aid to have for these reasons:-
Ageing or small pets who need a rest occasionally on a long walk
Convalescing pets who are unable to walk, but need fresh air to add some added stimulus to their lives.
Terminally ill pets or just plain lazy pets.
The pushchair is more substantial than I had expected and am pleased with the quality and design. Hope my pet likes it too!
As you can see from the pic, I put Poppy in the stroller indoors & saw she could’nt escape as she was head butting trying to get out but to no avail !! I will actually be using it in about May/June to take her to the vets for her booster jab.
I bought the zip front version as a replacement for the zip one which I have had 5 years of use from (see photos old and new) and although there are a lot cheaper strollers on the market I decided to stick to the one I knew (and my dog knew). The new model is a lovely green colour and my dog is very happy with it. The front is slightly higher than the older version which is better and is more secure for the dog. Since using a stroller my dog has become a lot fitter even though she has a leg problem as she can get in and out over the course of a long walk. I am certainly fitter and would recommend to anyone with dogs that cannot walk too far through age, illness or just physical size.
Searched for a pet stroller for my aging LARGE 16 kg jack russell for a while. . I was worried that this was going to be too small however absolutely perfect for short trips to the vet. Larger versions of strollers would have been too big to get in to the surgery! After operation Patch could lay down with just enough room. Pooch is slightly over the recommended 15kg weight but has been OK so far as I haven’t purchased for long walks . I also have reinforced the Base with another layer which I remove when folding up. Plastic wheels have been OK for short distances however could see that more of a bicycle type tyre would be an improvement. 5 stars for my needs
Just what I wanted for my cavalier who has breathing problems. She fits very well, fairly easy to get up and down for storage or in car. She is happy in it and have managed to get into some shops with her on it. As opposed to walking her in which shops don’t like…..
Fantastic item and worth what I paid for it. Surprisingly sturdy and easy to use. Looks and feels good quality and holds our old Cavalier King Charles perfectly. Very secure for your dog and comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing such an item
