Easy to install using the manufacturer video. Minimal tools needed. Way better for winter than single flap dog door. I’m very happy with this purchase!

I liked the sliding plastic door on this one. We had older smaller one and they popped on and off. The slider is easier.

I have had dog doors for a while. My newer Husky has been to the bowl too many times so I bought the larger extreme weather door. My fat boy goes through like a freight train and when he is not, the flaps do not blow in the wind like the other did. Pet Safe stands behind their product.

Approvata.

This is worth the money! I like in Colorado and it does very well keeping the cold and snow out! I have not noticed a temp Aries difference and we’ve gotten down to negative 13 this winter. No issues!

I’ve had this doggy door for over 4 months and love it. Very easy install and nicely insulated. Only complaint is that it can be very windy we’re I am and the wind will open it a few inches or so.

Best of the flap-style doors. Good energy efficiency. No drawbacks at all. Easy to install.

Works great to keep heat and cold from in through dog door. The single flap models don’t do well to keep weather out but the insulated 3 flap model works great.

Dogs learned quickly to use it. It keeps the cold air out even when the wind is blowing . I put it in the wall so I had to order the sleeve that go’s between the doggie door flaps. Easy to install but the bolts that came with would not work with the 6 inch wall. Wasn’t a big deal, I framed around the opening so I was able to use wood screws to secure the door’s.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersNeeded a dog door that would work for my 80 lb husky/lab and 30 lb beagle (the large fits both perfectly), would stay shut in really windy conditions and keep rain & snow out. This was relatively easy to install and definitely keeps the weather out – even in relatively extreme conditions. The door’s three layers also help keep the cold (and heat) out. It took some training to get the dogs to go in & out of the heavier doors, but after about a week there are no issues with that at all. I definitely recommend.

Well, if you’re OCD about trying to get it to close perfectly everytime, like me. As it should though, right? The outside flap is ever-so off centered, and that you can’t adjust. So trying to tweak the height without making that worse was way too much fun.

At first I thought this door would never work. Our British Lab has some joint issues and was having a very hard time going thru. I rolled up the outer flap on the inside and he could go thru but still had trouble so I rolled up the flap on the outside of the door. Now he’s going thru with no problem and his kitty buddy can now use it too.

I bought this because I bought a brand new house. Instead of barking my dog would scratch at the door jams and was really scratching them up. Weatherproof is great with a little caulking. And blocks the cold from coming in pretty well. Down side is installing. I was pretty hesitant to cut up a brand new door. But after I decided to do it, it turned out pretty well. Does take a while to measure and cut out the space for the door. So glad I don’t have to constantly get up to let her in/out anymore and the door jams are not being damaged from her scratching. And she loves it after about 1 day of training she had it figured ou

Loving this door. We have a bigger pooch as well so we got the large size. We did consider the step down on the other side of the door when determining where to cut and place the door. I had a great local handyman complete the work, and it was all done within 2 hours! Super easy and we are loving it. The dogs took about 30 minutes to fully acclimate and now MY life got easier. 🙂

    PROGETTAZIONE IMPROPONIBILE

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought it to replace an old, worn out doggy door. Install was a breeze and everything went together well. I recommend the metal screws vs the nylon as the nylon ones are easy to over torque. Material construction is excellent and appears very durable. The only issue I have is I believe the flaps could benefit from a heavier weighted magnet at the bottom, which would improve the closing and sealing of the flaps. With that stated, so far the decrease in the airflow from outside to inside has been significantly reduced and I’m very pleased with the performance. If I use the included slide in door panel to close it at night, the airflow stops completely. Very nice!

The dogs use it all the time to go in and out but unlike the previous dog flap we had this one seals much better which stops a major draught in colder and windier weather.

Bought the medium size for small 7kg dog, it was about right. It does seem well insulated with an inner and outer flap and insulated flap in the middle. The magnets at the bottom of the flaps seem to hold the flaps enough to stop any draughts but nothing at the sides except draught excluder, dog was using straight away.
    would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThree layers of “flaps”, including an insulated middle one, makes this way more energy efficient that those we have used before. My one complaint is that the flaps are secured to the doggie-door frame by a row of tiny screws along the top of the flaps. The holes for the screws are not round; they’re oblong and vertical. So, Every few days, I have to wiggle the group of flaps back upward, because the screws have allowed the flaps to slide down about 1/4″. The door still works, but the flaps overhang the frame opening at the bottom. That means the door does not swing closed as it catches on the bottom lip of the frame, leaving a gap at the bottom and making it less energy efficient. When it’s off kilter like that, the dog has to shove it a little harder to get back in. Over time I think this will wear out the door. I can’t simply tighten the screws so they don’t slide down. Trying that nearly strips the screw heads. I wish the screw holes were just circular. That would solve the problem: no room to slip down. I might fill the gaps in the screw holes with hot glue and see if that helpswhen I become frustrated enough to search for the glue gun.

The lock out panel is nice and sturdy. Easy to slide in and out. But it is not designed to stay attached. You remove it completely when not in use so that runs the risk of it getting lost/damaged.

It was a pain in the rear to install, for someone with little carpentry skills. The template wasn’t super helpful. The hardest part was drilling holes in both sides of the door so that the inner and outer frames align. You have very little room for error. I cussed. A lot. But once it was installed I felt it was a well made design, overall. I would buy it again if needed.

    Almost perfec
