Awesome golf game. As a person who has never played golf this game brings hours of fun, either with friends or solo.
Would have given it 5 stars.
But you can’t really replay shots and there’s no such real replay function like in fifa for example. So maybe something to improve

Basic game is very easy. Adding difficulty takes a large step change from easy too hard no middle ground
I haven’t played a PGA game for many years. I was pleasantly surprised how good this game really is. Don’t listen to the negative reviews buy this game you won’t be disappointed.
My initial thoughts are that once loaded, which didn’t take very long, the game certainly looks good enough, by the way, it’s well worth going into the game settings as soon as possible and changing the screen refresh rate from 30Hrz to 60Hrz, assuming your tv supports it.
There are so many control options to learn, perhaps too many? I think if you want to play this at its hardest level, then sure, I can see it’s nice to have all the options available for shot shaping, targeting, strength etc etc, but all I want really is point and shoot, with a little bit of thought obviously!
So for the best part, you can pretty much ignore all of that and just get stuck in, you’ll soon get the swing of it! (Sorry, poor joke I know).
Considering it is a PS4 game, it still looks pretty good to me, you still get a few blurry visuals, especially with the finer details like tree branches, leaves etc, but nothing too drastic.
Overall, I like the game, and at this price point, you can’t go wrong!
You can spend absolutely ages in personalising your chosen player, some of which is dependent on prize money earned in the game, or challenges completed etc.
The only complaint I do have with this game, has to be some of the loading times! Too slow and tends to distract from the game a little. But if you can learn to live with that, then this is definitely worth buying.
I will upgrade once and if a good PS5 golf game ever gets released. But for now, this will do nicely.
I’ve not played a proper golf game since the Tiger Woods series a long time ago, so I thought I’d give this a go.
Been playing for nearly a week now and this is thoroughly enjoyable. Once you’ve mastered the swing system via the tutorials, it’s pretty straight forward to play and not to difficult.
The player animation and ball physics are spot on and the courses look great. The only slight criticism of the courses though are the galleries look a bit static and too generic, this is only a minor niggle as the gameplay, which is the main thing, is great.
I like games that a pretty much pick-up and play and this falls into that category so it’s a big thumbs up for me.

Arrived in perfect condition. Nice game, lots of varying gimmicks and difficulties to suit most golfing and gaming experienced players. Good variety of courses too, particularly where people have made custom courses that didn’t come default with the game.
Having not played any golf games for some years I saw this game going cheap so thought Im would give it a go. It doesn’t disappoint, there are plenty of customisation options and the game controls are not too complicated to get involved and around a full 18 hole round without giving up in frustration, there is plenty there to fine tune the ball control to improve the scores too.
I found it a good game and a pleasant return to console golf games.
Looks great, good physics engine and lots of customisation available which makes a lot of variety.

The level of control over where your ball goes is amazing, making it really easy to hit draws/fades or to choose which type of shot to play around the green. You always feel that the ball goes where it is supposed to, whether that’s in the hole or into a water hazard.
The visuals are good and it is very easy to adjust the difficulty to reflect how many times you want to win. I usually win a trophy about once in every twelve tournaments and that is the way I like it.
It’s a big shame that it lacks certain courses, but the enjoyment to be had more than makes up for it.
Awesome game loved it, playing online with friends, building courses have to say the PGA tour was a little disappointing as you just repeat the same tour again they could add some stats, clubs or clothes that with win each time you complete a PGA
Been waiting for a game as good as Tiger woods but with next gen graphics. All the online videos don’t do justice to the graphics and the gameplay is brilliant.
I can’t see anyone being disappointed with this golf game if you enjoyed Tiger Woods series
Excellent game although it is let down by the inability to name guest players. I’m sure that would be a simple fix, although I see many people have requested this, the programmers seen reluctant to add a solution.
Having had Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy golf games in the past together with the earlier Golf Club games, I read good reviews on this game. Having ordered simply via Amazon I have to say this is the best golf game I have ever played. Amazon had it at a better price than elsewhere & delivery was quick. Highly recommended.

Great game. Really good graphics and provides a good level of challenge if you’re brave enough to take off all the assists.
Only downside is you can’t play as real life golfers, only as your own character you make.

As someone who has previously played EA’s Tiger Woods golf games I wasn’t expecting tok much from this but I am rather enjoying this game. For 2K’s first attempt at a golf game it is a decent attempt. Yes there’s not many real life golfers or golf course’s but I’m sure with time that it can be corrected. But the lack of golfers and courses shouldn’t deter you from buying and enjoying this game.
Graphically it’s great well I think so anyway some people might disagree. Animation’s are good aswell. The myplayer PGA tour mode is enjoyable. I’ve played online in private matches with friends and had a blast. The golf course creator they’ve got is something different but in a good way, it does get some getting used to but once you’ve got the hang of it you’ll be able to create some really good challenging courses.

I have only been on it for a couple of days but I am really enjoying it – very much like the old Tiger Woods games with lovely graphics.
The thing that frustrates me is that it hasn’t come on much since the said Tiger Woods era – e.g. not being able to see the other players you are playing alongside in the career mode tournaments and no caddies either and very basic commentary (very repetitive)
That aside I do love the customisation of your career mode golfer and how you have to earn your pga tour card before competing on the tour 🙂

The physics and game play are superb. Graphics could be a little better and it has not really been given the full 2k treatment in terms of presentation and commentary.
The game itself is better than any game, on any platform. The spectators actually applaud when you play a good shot.

Absolutely brilliant game!
If you like golf, then you will love this too. It’s very realistic but also loads of fun to play. You may find it can be challenging when going up difficulty levels, but bare with it as practice makes perfect.
People writing negative reviews on this title obviously don’t appreciate the sport and its a huge upgrade to last years edition.

Best Golf game to date. There is a lot more to this than in the Golf Club 2019 which I also enjoyed. More club and shot selection and improved more detailed graphics, sound and presentation. Lots of official PGA courses and plenty of options so you can set your own difficulty level. Also because of the course editor there are endless user created courses you can play or make your own. If you are a fan of Golf games it’s well worth getting.

Great game, career mode excellent so far and the different difficulty settings are welcome as you can change them at any point as you get better throughout the career.
Promotion code works now for anyone querying, it takes a couple of days sometimes after release for them to work on games.
Gameplay excellent. The only slight negative for me is that game keeps crashing when in designer mode? But overall very good.
