After trying out a competing device sold by a tv shopping network, this fuzz remover is ten times better. Removes fuzz easily and quickly. Very powerful and sharp blades (but safe to use).

This item is pretty good. It worked when I tried it on a bobbly fleece, but you have to push it down into the fabric to get it to work and even then it doesn’t get it all.
I needed this to remove bobbling from a coat. With so many of these products out there it was difficult to chose. I decided to go with a brand. Proved correct. It takes a little while to remove the bits but that’s probably just as well. This should be a gentle process to not damage the material. I have used it on a coat and arms of a pullover. In short it works very well. Recommended

Brought back to life all the jumpers, cardigans, coats and trousers that I loved to wear but looked old and ‘bobbley’ It takes a while to do a whole jumper but well worth the trouble, looks like new when you’re done! Plus, saves as no need to replace those clothes! Love it!

Probably one of my best purchases in ages.
My black winter coat had bobbles everywhere and in minutes it was looking brand new again. As a result I ended up going through my entire wardrobe to find items that needed de-bobbling!
My only gripe is that spare blades aren’t available but then again this is a simplistic device and the blades on it will likely last longer than the actual device itself.

I had a few jumpers that were so bobbly that they were a bit beyond use and so bought this to sort them out. I was not disappointed. This little machine works so well and has saved me a fortune in having to replace older clothes which now look like new. Incredibly satisfying process and my friends are now all obsessed with it too.
I read all the reviews before I bought this little machine. There was only one not so good review, which warned about holes. Take no notice of that. This little machine is excellent. It removed all those nasty bobbles from my woollens, it is light and easy to use, and equally easy to empty and clean, plus it does not make holes in your garments. Go for it.
This fabric shaver is brilliant. I was going to throw an old garment out but after using the fabric shaver it looked brand new again. This fabric shaver is a keeper.
I’ve had a cheap one of these before and really had to press down on it to make it work anywhere near effectively, so was dubious as to the efficiency of this one, but all the positive reviews made me decide to give it a try. It is very good! Does just what I wanted it to do, and a previously bobbled-up top is now bobble-free and wearable again! Well worth the money.
I am very impressed with this bobble remover. It removes bobble very fast. Put the cloth on a flat surface & use it with circular or back-forward direction and it takes off all the bobble. Cant say about batteries as using first time and done 3-4 kids pjs and still working. Fully satisfied

I didn’t expect all my bobbled clothes to look good until I discovered this. I have used it on few clothses ansd have no complaints. When you feel that is it’s not performing well, just open up and clear off any stuck material on the blades and you are good to go agai

Used shavers, lint rollers etc but felt like a bunch of jumpers/coats were still showing their use and age. Bought this and am very happy!! Have shown in the picture the difference. Very embarrassed knowing I would wear the before and not even think twice! Would definitely recommend.
Small issue is how much you have to empty/clean out.
What I liked about this product is that it was simple to understand how to use it- it is also very efficient and has made my jogging bottoms much softer since it removed all the bobbles from them. It makes your clothes look newer from the get go, and it is also fun to use (satisfying). I would highly recommend you to buy one- I thought it would not be very good for the great price, so I was surprised at how effective it is. The design is nice too, the battery covers just slide on and click into place.
I remember around 10 years ago buying a bobble remover from an old shop discount shop that’s long since gone, and I’ve never been able to get one as good as it. I’ve bought the JML bobble remover and it was rubbish. I bought a bobble remover from the same shop, it was rubbish. I’ve even bought a different one from Amazon and it was rubbish.
So when I seen this one, I thought Phillips are an intermediate quality brand, so I’ll give it a try. The first jumper I tried it on was my work jumper. As you can see from the pictures, it looks really old, despite only being issued to me mid January. The bobbles it has removed are from around the neck and embroidered area. Very little work in removing all that too, as one or two passes was taking all the bobbles off. Well impressed!
I’ve always found these types of lint remover a bit sketchy and time consuming, so took the good reviews on this one with a pinch of salt.
Long story short, I was wrong, this does a great job, nice and quick, easy to use and judging by the amount of fluff in its bin, quite effective.
Unlike other reviews, mine did come with batteries.
I bought this for my 83 year old mother. I checked out a few de-bobblers and Philips had the best reviews. This was not the most expensive Philiips de-bobbler, but also not the cheapest! Mum says it works really well and I liked the fact that it came with batteries. My mum is very pleased with it and recommends it. I will probably be buying one for myself now.
This is ridiculously good. I haven’t owned one of these for many years because the last one was mediocre. I bought a coat from ASOS which in hindsight wasn’t worth the money as it bobbled straight away. This Philips Fabric Shaver has bought it back to look like the quality item it was pretending to be!
Better than I’d ever imagined
Only got it today and WOW I sell clothes as a side hustle buy in bulk and send them and this will be amazing, worked better than I’d imagined and it’s quite therapeutic!! I can buy cheaper clothes spruce then up and make more !! I did nick one jumper but trial and error and my own fault being to eager to use without reading manual .. If doubting please don’t it’s amazing
Was sceptical at first, but I thought I’d give it a go. It’s truly brilliant. Removed all the bobbly bits from my favourite jumpers. Excellent product. Light weight, easy to use. Love it!
For years I have spent ages removing bobbles and pills with an old machine and also a disposable razor!
This brilliant shaver removes in minutes what would normally take me 20 minutes or more!
A couple of passes over the bobbles and they’re gone, container was full within a few minutes.
It’s not until this came did I realise how useless my old one was, it’s a no brainer – buy without hesitation.
Excellent shaver. Large shaving head, seems to do a very good job. Hopper for the fabric bits is however very small.
Ever since I have bought this, I cannot stop using it. Like most of the reviews said, I am going out of my way to find items so I can remove the bobbles
One thing to note, for thick knit items it does take a bit of time and you’ll find that you’ll have to keep repeating the process.
One downside is that it’s not chargeable via usb. You have to use batteries and of course keep replacing the batteries once ran out.
I couldn’t find my depiller comb so decided to treat myself to this gadget. Ooh, what fun I’ve hard since it arrived. I’ve had a go at everything. Ha, ha. Jumpers and cardis. Old garden jumpers and cardis. Armchairs. Curtains. Toys. Leggings. Now eyeing up people.
It works a treat. I think it’s starting to get a little blunt now. Hardly surprising. The Philips batteries lasted a surprisingly long time, Duracell not so long. I bought a pack of 40 by GP AA Batteries Ultra Alkaline and they have outmatched both.
I will definitely be buying this again.
I have tried several of these shavers over the years, mainly cheaper versions of this one and was keen to try this one from Philips
It feels robust and the blades are sharp and easily accessible for cleaning .
I had a knitted hooded which I love but had pilled very badly it looked old.
This little machine took off the pills quite well
I had to go over and over the jumper for a long time to remove them all and had to empty the tiny tank many times, but it coped well and I now feel I can wear the top out again.
I found going around and around in opposite way to the blades the most effective, although it probably works in any direction! I was just getting bored and experimenting!
It does have a two year guarantee so they must have faith in their product.
There were three models to choose from and apart from colour, and price, I couldn’t see any difference.
Now I’m looking for things to ‘de-pill’

I’m at an age when I can recall these being advertised on TV and sold at Woolworths “as seen on TV”.
They haven’t really changed that much although this device certainly is much larger than I was envisaging……not a bad thing.
There’s no miracle cure for what these devices are intending to do and to properly de-bauble a jumper or top takes some dedication (in time and patience) but they do work fairly well.
So far, I’ve defuzzed a Rab fleece and a wooly jumper. You definitely need to listen to music or watch TV when your’e doing it.
There are plenty of devices to choose from and I went with the Philips brand. The price is not that much more than the unknown brands and I did so mainly thinking that the electronic components maybe better quality and offer better efficiency re the batteries required.

It literally makes my joggers and cotton t shirts look almost brand new! This product isn’t expensive at all so it has to be one of the best bargains I have ever bought!!
I’ve thrown away clothes (given to charity) just because they start to pill causing them to look old and worn. So this product saves me money!
It’s so easy to use, very easy to clean, doesn’t drain batteries quick and is small enough to easily store away.
I have got these cotton joggers that seem to pill more then other garments I have so I do need to use this product more often then ideal. However I enjoy using it! So it’s not a problem at all.
I’ve had other Philips electronic products in the past and they’ve always performed great and lasted years, so I have confidence this product will be too.
Brilliant little machine that has made all my old looking jumpers look new again. It’s amazing! So good that a number of people I know have bought it after my recommendation. It’s just one of those things you need in your house, and you might not have known it. Highly recommended. I’d also say that it’s good for the environment too because it stops you throwing away clothes (though appreciate the machine is made out of plastic).

I bought this to renew some jumpers that were still fairly new but had a lot of pilling.
It worked great, and is so addictive!
You’ll find yourself habitually de-piling every piece of textile in the house (not joking!)
Also worked great on my favourite cushion cover, which was more pill than cover.
It’s pretty quick, not heavy duty, so you have to take time to gradually reduce bad pilling. Light pilling comes off swiftly, in one go.
Only slight annoyance is the fluff catcher, which is on the small side, which you’re emptying it often, but in fairness it only takes a few seconds. Very easy to use, much better than a similar tool I had previously some time ago, although more expensive but well worth it imho.
It looks exactly like the pictures. It’s not perfect and you have to spend time trying to remove everything but it does the job. It’s kind of small so maybe not that easy to hold if you have big hands.
Used to refresh beach & bath towels, pullovers and jumpers. Very effective with reasonable battery life. Would recommend.
The only (slightly) minor thing would be that the collector is a little small, but to be honest, it did not affect us significantly.
Tip: Place the fabric to “de-pill” on a hard, flat surface, and smooth it out – this will aid in effective removal of said “pills”

This is great as it’s battery operated which I sometimes prefer than a ubs I can put it in my bag as well if I spot hair or fluff on the husband overcoat out comes the fuzzer

I make clothes for the family and sometimes after washing my fleece backed jersey gets bobbly afterwards due to the fibres used in the fabric. After a couple of minutes of using this on a handmade hoodie for the toddler it now looks like new again. Fab little tool. Easy to empty and easy to use.
It is a little noisy which is the only thing I noticed.
Bought this to get rid of bobbling on my sofa which had been so unsightly. Couldn’t afford to buy a replacement sofa yet so tried this fabric shaver and it worked wonders!
The batteries it came with didn’t last long, so put in Duracell batteries and un-bobbled a very large sofa. I’ve taken off the throw and I’m fully enjoying my sofa again.

It is easy to use and in most cases quickly takes effect, as in, the fabric on a garment looks instantly smoother and closer to brand new. The little shaver cache collects masses of fluff, so you know the device is doing its job. Larger garments obviously take longer to work over, you can’t rush the process but have to be patient and thorough. Also I wonder how quickly the blades lose their edge.. however at under a tenner I’d happily buy a second shaver, or refresh this product when it wears out.
Having lived with an IKEA sofa with lots of fabric pilling for many months (I was warned about this at purchase) I decided to look into removing them to give the sofa a new lease of life. I’m so glad I discovered this little gadget from Philips! It’s extremely easy to use and is supplied with the required 2x AA batteries. The first time I fired it up, I could hear it working and chopping away those annoying little pills with ease! The photo shows the little ball of fabric that ends up in the bin which is very easy to remove and empty. It basically acts as a beard trimmer for fabric! But don’t worry, the blade is well guarded and you are very unlikely to hurt yourself with this. The results I achieved with my sofa are incredible and for just 15 you can’t go wrong! I definitely recommend this produc
It is fabulous, I would have given 5 stars but the fact that I can’t recharge it is a con for me. I will probably buy rechargeable batteries but obviously it will be extra money
I love this thing. I’ve defuzzed a couple of cardigans and debobbled hoodies. They’ve come up great, see photos to see the difference; before on the left, after on the right. I found the task quite therapeutic. It’s very easy to use. Simple slide on/off switch. I put my clothes item on the ironing board while I did it and just ran the shaver up and down the garment, a bit like cutting the grass, and emptying the little collection hopper every so often. I bought Amazon brand rechargeable batteries at the same time instead of using the disposable ones that came with it.

Good points – easy to hold,light, found when sheering in circles it remove the pills quicker and less strain on the blades (which are pretty thin) rather than use it up/down.
Aldo small enough head to get into the rim of pockets. Sound isn’t too loud, you can hear it snipping the bobbles (which is satisfying).
Improvements- collection part could be larger, but after de-pilling all your garments the first time, the compartment size is enough for touch ups- any bigger, the device wouldn’t fit in your hand. (It filled up on an entire long knee length woolen coat). Bristled on brush included is ok, a larger softer brush would be better but that’s me being picky.
All that’s needed is an attached lint roller and perfect garment cleaner!
It works very well indeed, smoothly removing the fuzz very quickly. I tried it on a sweatshirt that was full of fuzz around the neckline and it worked like a dream. I then used it over the main part of the garment and it worked just as quick, making the garment look like new again with no trouble at all. Did several more straight afterwards. Easy to empty and made by a company you can trust.
I made the mistake of buying a cheaper version to try and remove the pilling on the daughter’s fleece jacket, but it broke after a few minutes. So I decided to pay a bit more – I think this is still very reasonable price, it even comes with batteries included.
As soon as I received this I set to work on her large & very badly pilled jacket and was not disappointed. All the bobbling was removed quickly & easily, leaving her jacket looking as good as new. I’m not sure I would want to try it on more delicate materials, but for what I needed it for it was great.
I bought this to de-lint my suit after noticing “bobbles” had formed. I was a bit anxious about putting a device with a rotating blade near my suit, but quickly found it de-bobbled it instantly, making it look brand new again. I used it on both the jacket and trousers and will keep it handy for all clothing items from now on!
