I recently purchased this product as an addition to the other hue lights I have in my house.
Easy plug and play and works with both Alexa and Apple Home Kit.
The only disappointment is that the adhesive is coming off at one end.
Apart from this I would highly reccomend.

I wouldn’t bother with cheaper alternatives. Nothing can beat Philips. We love the warm light, natural and soothing, the perfect preparation for a relaxing night. It makes any home welcoming and calm.
The best gradient ligh
I had one already in my light setup but was changing everything and decided to look for alternative as I needed a lot of length for my idea and that meant a lot of money. Went with Govee. Well that was a mistake. Had to tear everything down again, order more Hue because you cannot beat Hue. The colours are from another world. The fluidity, transitions between segments, functionality are just amazing. Yes, they are pricey but you get what you paid for (same goes for govee lol). Works with everything seamless. Got my gaming pc setup with screen mirroring, got my automations. Just seamless and perfect. And for someone who’s obsessed with getting a great colour, nothing can match Hue

Added to existing Hue bridge and lights. Works really well and is good and bright. However despite cleaning and alcohol wiping in preparation for the light strip fixing it still decided to provide me with swags…..it just us not adhesive enough to stay in place. Added spots of superglue along the length and it seems to be holding
Second Hue Light strip - Same Result - Grea
So this is my second light strip for under the the kitchen counter. Again no issues and having learned from installing the first one this was even easier. Cut the strip as needed and installed no issues. Again I’ve seen some reviews where people say the adhesive isn’t very good. When I bought my first strip I was wary of that and when I pulled the first piece of backing of the adhesive cover it pulled the whole adhesive leaving a less than sticky strip. This is what happens when you pull the adhesive cover from the end of the strip even when you cut. Carefully reversed what I did and then pulled the adhesive cover from the cut line in the strips. You can see many cut lines in the adhesive cover pull it there! Trust me) All in all love the colour and brightness in the kitchen now. Great product. Would by agai

Ich habe die Streifen fr meinen Freund besorgt, der ein HUE fan ist. Er hat sich sehr gefreut und findet super nutzen dafr und wrde sie sich wieder kaufen.
Ich hingegen finde die streifen einfach komplett berteuert, da einfach gefhlt jedes mal 15 cm zwischen den LEDs liegen… das knnen Discoutermarken schon fast besser…

Great connectivity, good brightness, horrible adhesion.
As other reviews pointed out the adhesion on the back of these strips is atrocious. I recommend buying some Nano Tape (generic version of 3M).
Bad adhesion aside everything else about these strips are great. I bought these to replace LIFX strips – I’ve now moved all my LIFX products to HUE as I was sick of connectivity issues. Pairing with the HUE bridge was fast and easy and the lights are extremely responsive. Although not quite as bright of vibrant as LIFX these are still great strips with superb functionality.

Nach 5 Monaten leider defekt. Rckerstattung erhalten, war jedoch ein bisschen kompliziert, da es ein Set war (die Verlngerung war nicht defekt, aber eben leider unbrauchbar, wenn man kein Hauptgert hat)
Haben noch zwei andere, die funktionieren einwandfrei, also grundstzlich sind wir mit dem HUE-Lightstrips sehr zufriede

La extensin es corta para su precio. Adems, los pones de conexin son endebles y dificulta su empalme, pudindose doblar y quedando inutilizada. Tenlo en cuenta, aunque si usas esta marca, tampoco tienes otra opcin.

Straight Line - Perfect, pieces and bends more of a challenge
I have a office which was too dark and needed to light up my background and bookshelves. This strip is perfect for it.

The challenge is that i need to run wire from each piece to the control strip + cut strips to length + solder + wire.
It is really finicky work. the strip itself is basically indestructible, I have made so many misconnections, incorrect connections and short circuits i’m amazed it still functions. But after a few false starts got going.
I realized that someone in Phillips is very clever with how they designed the connector for the straight pieces. It works great, but i need more then the 2 they sent me in the main control device.
The local electronics shop also sells micropin connectors for PC Risers and this helps to solder wires on so i don’t have to work directly on the strip. Also 6 core wire for alarm systems works perfectly and can slide right into the female pins to that is easier.
It all works beautifully, but until you get the hang of it there is a strong learning curve, especially why you need to create many different lengths.

Bluetooth is a second-class citizen, recommended for Bridge only
The performance of this LED strip is great. Shines brighter than the cheaper ambiguously-branded LED strips and feels better built. I have used cable ties to fix it in place though, as the adhesive is worthless. Its a pretty chunky thick LED strip and if you have to work it around a bend, the thickness and rigidity works against you.
The worst thing though is 2 months after buying this new, the bluetooth is playing up. I wouldn’t be able to detect the light strip in the Hue app and had to physically plug it from the mains, wait, and plug it back in to work. Note: I’m not talking about disconnecting the strip from the power supply, but the whole thing from the plug. I guess some of the bluetooth assembly is on the adapter-side? This means if you have concealed wiring and a hidden plug like me, its a total faff.
As of 2 weeks later, this workaround no longer works and bluetooth is effectively dead. I would have returned it, but I just added some more lights and the Bridge/zigbee protocol works just fine so I can’t be asked with the hassle of unmounting it, etc.
Very pricey, but very impressive
As far as lighting like this goes, this is really the top-end. You won’t find much in a similar price range and be aware that cheaper alternatives do exist; despite this, this is a very good product. The quality of the colours and brightness of the light strip as a whole goes unmatched with anything else I’ve seen before. If you can afford it then I’d honestly go for it.
Note: when I first received the product, it came damaged. I tried plugging in extensions and the port basically fell off, but Amazon replaced it next day

The led strip works really well. As well as cool and warn colour settings it does actual colours too. The Leds are nice and bright, and the strip was found by Alexa and worked with voice commands immediately without any kind of setting up.
Bad point: The adhesive tape on the back of the led strip is absolute rubbish. It came away from the tape in some areas and doesn’t stick well to a clean laminated surface. I had to spend a further 7.00 on Gorrila double sided tape to glue the strip in position. This has been an ongoing problem for years now and it’s about time Philips sorted this weakness out. Hue is not cheap, so I expect better to be honest. They lose a star for the rubbish adhesive tape.

Ziemlich gute LED Streifen. Mit der App schn einzustellen auch wenn ich da gern mehr Einstellungsmglichkeiten htte. Das ankleben ist ein bisschen frickelich und sie halten nicht berall perfekt drauf. Beides habe ich aber bei Konkurrenzprodukten noch nicht besser gesehen.
Mein Hauptminuspunkt ist der Preis. Der ist bei den Hue Sachen immer sehr hoch. Deswegen Kauf ich den Kram nur wenn Amazon die im Angebot hat. Ansonsten ist mir das zu teuer.

ber die Lichtqualitt muss ich nicht weiter eingehen. Einfach Spitze und gewohnt gut. Leider hat bei mir das Netzteil unangenehm gefiebt, sofern man bestimmte Farben einstellt. Bunt von hell bis dunkel
Klasse Lightstrip. Er muss definitiv als indirekte Beleuchtung montiert werden, da man ansonsten mies angefunzelt wird oder einzelne Lichtpunkte sieht – das gilt auch fr schlechte Lichtkanle. Ich steuere den Lightstrip ber Apples Homekit und er lsst sich bis auf einen Hauch von Licht runter regeln, weit niedriger als der Outdoor Lightstrip, die Hue Candels oder E27 Birnen. Ich hre auch kein fiepen von Netzteilen oder Lichtschluchen. Einzig die in 10cm Stcken aufgebrachte Schutzfolie des Klebebandes nervt maximal bei der Montage von 2m Lightstrip. der strkste Kleber ist das auch nicht aber ein sauberer, glatter Untergrund und das Ding hlt – bislang 😀

Would have hundreds of these around my house if I could. They are so bright when you turn them up. Once you have the bridge you can connect upto 50 lights and separate them into different groups. It’s a great bit of kit. Will buy more.
Tres bel eclairage avec un choix de couleurs presque infini. L’application Hue fonctionne tres bien et offre de nombreuses ambiances. L’integration avec Alexa s’est faite sans probleme et fonctionne egalement parfaitement. Il y a tout de fois quelques points ngatifs. Le plus problmatique pour moi c’est l’adhrence qui n’est pas top. La guirlande a tendance se detacher aux extremites. Un deuxieme point ngatif est la rigidit de la guirlande qui ne permettra pas toute les fantaisies. Il faut bien sur parler du prix qui est bien plus elev que la conccurence.
Lightened my walle
These are absolutely better quality than many of the plethora of strip leds out there. They give off a decent amount of light per metre and have done what I bought them to do(ontop of kitchen cabinets as mood uplighting) you need to download the app to operate and requires buying a hub if you want to synchronise multiples. They are at the high end on pricing for what they are though, however I’ve bought cheap before and had failures in components so I’m hoping these will fair better, time will tell I’ll update review after reasonable usage.
Use with dimmer switch v2
I bought these lights plus the dimmer switch v2 and there are things customers should really be clearly told, but is nearly impossible to find anywhere.
The lights and dimmer switch will work with each other (using Bluetooth), but unless you have or buy a Philips hue Bridge, the lights will only display just four different colours (scenes as Philips call them) when the Hue button on the switch is pressed. These are inbuilt within the dimmer switch and cannot be changed from a Philips Bluetooth App that you might run on a Mobile or Tablet. To be clear, the Philips Bluetooth App does allow you to select the huge range of colours the light can generate, but only from within the App which will connect to the lights. There is no way to transfer these different colours to the dimmer switch Hue button.
So, pressing the dimmer switch Hue button will only ever let you have the four colour choices that comes with it to select from. They are all pretty similar too — three whitish and one yellowish.
If you want your dimmer switch to be able to store and allow you to select five scenes of your choosing using the huge range of colour these lights can offer, you must purchase a Philips Hue Bridge. That uses wi-fi and importantly, the wi-fi version of the Philips App (unlike the Bluetooth App) lets you connect to the dimmer switch, which is what lets you give it the colours that you want the Hue button to select for you.
So, once I purchased the Bridge, I finally managed to get the dimmer switch to give the five colours I wanted and now I am very happy with the result.
Finally, an important truth you may want to consider is that, although you can enjoy using an App to play with changing the lights, you quickly tire of it and realise that you only ever really want a few choices most of the time. The dimmer switch is brilliant at that and so much easier than getting out a phone or tablet and messing around in a fiddly App. On that basis, I’d seriously recommend getting a Bridge when buying this product, although it can be fiddly to set up. I’d recommend having someone who understands routers and IP addresses on standby in case of issues.

I have loads of hue lights around my house. I love them all. The app is easy to use. I love being able to create a huge number of different scenes, having the ability to schedule lights going on and off and being able to control them remotely.

I have added these strip lights to my new kitchen. They were easy to install and have really added something to the look of the kitchen. They all work on my phone or wall switches and you can have whatever colour combinations you want. They are expensive but I think worth it.
Beware Amazon Warehouse
You know what you’re getting with a Hue lightstrip, great light, great smart home connectivity and pants adhesion. However I needed 8 individual lightstrips for a recent project so naturally jumped at the chance to buy 6 of them at 20 cheaper from Amazon warehouse. The first had been cut and only received 90cm of lightstrip, the second flashed on and off and refused to be found by multiple devices, the next 2 were perfect however the final 2 both have colour faults (red or green lights when the rest white etc). Luckily I only need 150cm of the strip so they’re still usable but some quality control is badly needed.

L’intrt prinipal de cette bande LED est qu’elle s’intgre l’cosystme Philips HUE et peut tre programme. De plus, sa conception rend plus facile les modifications “non standard”. C’est un produit plutt destination des Makers et des Geeks que du grand public. Si vous souhaitez juste une bande LED dont vous pouvez changer la couleur, sans y apporter de modification complexe et sans aucun automatisme (avec une tlcommande par exemple), il existe des alternatives beaucoup moins chres.
Les LEDs peuvent fonctionner en mode RGB (couleur) ou bien en lumire blanche temprature variable. Elle est trs lumineuse et offre un rendu incroyable en clairage d’ambiance. Il est aussi possible d’clairer de petits espaces avec (plan de travail de cuisine) mais dans ce cas il est prfrable de se tourner vers une bande LED sans couleur car beaucoup moins chre.
Les branchements sont faciles avec les connecteurs fournis et a tient bien. Il est possible de couper le ruban tous les 30cm environ ce qui offre pas mal de possibilits d’intgration sur la plupart des meubles en kit du march.
Par contre l’adhsif tendance ne pas trs bien adhrer la gaine de la bande LED, attention ne pas l’arracher en dcollant le film de protection.
Si la bande LED doit tre apparente, je recommande de l’installer dans une goulotte en alu car la lumire est un peu agressive et le systme n’est pas trs esthtique. De plus, la poussire a tendance se coller sur la gaine en silicone.
Les bricoleurs un peu plus aguerris souhaitant raliser une configuration plus complexe pourront raliser leur propre connectique en soudant eux-mmes les 6 fils directement sur les connecteurs du circuit imprim qui sont dj tams. Il faudra tout de mme prvoir un bon fer souder ainsi qu’un pistolet colle chaude pour scuriser les soudures et viter qu’elles ne se cassent la manipulation.

A great light strip with full Hue features

I already have a few Hue bulbs, light bars and lamps (Hue Go), and importantly a Hue Bridge, all integrated with Alexa. The only thing stopping this getting five stars is the sticky backing, which isn’t the best. It’s also a little difficult to get it around the corners of the TV (it won’t lie flat when cornering). You can cut and join with a small corner piece (there’s only one in the box), but it’s a bit of a faff. Plus, although there’s there’s little scissor markers to indicate where to cut the lightstrip, I was a little nervous about doing that!! I’ve added little pieces of double sided sticky tape to help with the stickiness – let’s see how that lasts. So far, so good – after one of week of use.

In my opinion best thing about this strip is the hue mobile app.. otherwise I would go with cheaper lightstrips
Nice LED light stripe however....
The light stripe in itself is certainly much higher quality than others in the market but you do also pay at least 3-4 times more. I have put it up in a window which arches so nice and flexible for that job. Of course if you already have a hue bridge then this makes this even better. Though what truly is dissappointing is the adhesive tape. For this quality and money this should be superb but it is nothing but! Much to be asked for here. Ended up buying some separate two sided tape (Tiger Tape) which did the trick but I should not have had to.

At last a gradient light strip
Used in my music studio behind some bass traps to add mood lighting. Adhesion on the back of the strip could be better but other than that really like this addition to the Philips Hue range.

Decent bit of ki
Decent bit of kit, bright, app is easy enough to use too. Although they are very chunky (wide) and sturdy which means putting it on the back of the TV is challenging, although I am not sure they are advertised for TV’s anyway. I do seem to have one random blue section though.

Simple and elegant lighting
I’m a big fan of Hue. Colours are beautiful, easy to install in the app (app is excellent as well). Not cheap but you get what you pay for. I buy them in the sales etc. The strip is the biggest difference in quality here. I replaced a Govee strip at the back of my desk and I stead of a weak light it just pops. Kids love the colours too!

Best Light Strip Available!
I bought this light strip to de-clutter my tv gaming setup, thus replacing my Phillips Play Bars. The colours blend pretty seamlessly and provide a different vibe for any occasion. I quickly defaulted to Rainbow though, as it’s something the older light strips couldn’t do without the sync box.

Replacement worked
Update – opted for replacement instead of refund and plugged the new lightstrip in switched on and it worked. Opened the app and it found it first time. Kids managed to work the colours from Alexa which they thought was cool, so all appears good. One star dropped for issue with first product. Is expensive when not on offer but worth it with the change it gives to the room.

Bought the lightstrip while on Black Friday deal and it just doesn’t connect. Have tried inputting the serial number and switching off all other devices to avoid interference but to no avail.
Upshot is will be sending it back. Unfortunately once you have forked out for the bridge you are committed to their products.

Amazing.
Looks incredible but can be difficult to install on TV
I used one pack to backlight my TV (50 inch) & it looks incredible & I use it most days. I’m also a big fan of the app you can download to change the colours & switch the product on remotely.
My only qualm was that this product doesn’t stick well to the corners of the TV. It’s very rigid & difficult to bend so when bending it to go around the edges of the TV I found they kept pinging off. I stuck the corners down with masking tape for a few weeks & then removed it, which seemed to fix this.
