I’m a gamer in a small room with laminate floor and a powerful gaming pc. Heat is a big problem for me and this will take my room down to about 13 degrees in a matter of 15 minutes. You also don’t have to empty the water out of the bottom tap for about 2-3 months of near constant use. Pair it up with window netting and you get no spiders either!

It’s quite good does come out very cold and does cool you down only negative about it is it comes out of one corner but other than that it’s pretty good!

Does the job well, it is a bit noisy, I couldn’t sleep with it running, but that’s to be expected considering what it does.
The WiFi side is provided by and ESP8266 and there is a project out there with instructions on how to use ESPHOME to make it more useful (use the googles).
    overall happy

It’s cheap it’s small but it makes a difference on those hot nights.

Shame the price shot up or I’d grab another one for my daughters room

OMG this saved the day. Just couldn’t get the house to cool down. This is brilliant, yes it’s noisy but it’s an air con, they are noisy! But works soooooo well!!

Couldn’t have survived the heatwave without it. It’s a little noisy, but you get used to it. It’s a small price to pay for cooling down a room. My dog loved it also, he’s the main reason we bought this air conditioning unit was to keep him cool. Plus we benefited from it too of course.

Used this princess 12000 btu air conditioner in the recent heat waves in the uk. Have it on my 12ft boat. It functions well brought the heat down 10’c. I did hope it would cool the entire boat nicely but it struggled with the intense heat and we had to partition off the boat half way to get it to do this. In all so long as it’s not over 34’c I think it is good at fulfilling its cv. Would recommend as it blows really well and fan is good.

Very easy to setup and really helps in keeping the temperature down in our bedroom. I found it inexpensive to buy and would highly recommend it.

Delivered well packaged and complete. I struggled to get this upstairs into my bedroom due to the weight… it’s not something I’d like to carry up and down the stairs daily to different rooms.
The plug lead was long enough for me. I placed the unit underneath one of my bedroom windows.
The extractor tube is short but sufficient for my needs, however, the supplied window kit only fits sash windows. I have ordered a side-opening window kit which cost me an additional 20.
So, I stuck the extractor hose out of my jammed-closed window and closed the curtains to test out.
The temperature outside was around 30c. Within 10 minutes the room was noticeably cooler. and after 30 mins very pleasant.
My main concern with this is the noise. On the Cool/AC setting, when the motor is operating, it is loud… loud enough for me to worry about the neighbours! It also has a resonating hum every second or so, I guess this is normal?
The fan and dehumidifier setting is much quieter, however, I don’t know why the dehumidifier shows an orange light on the display, unlike green on other settings.
In the UK this is a luxury (the last month has been exceptionally hot), but for the next heatwave, I hope to make more use of it.
Overall, very pleased, but there’s no way I could sleep through the noise in the same room, and I’m conscious of upsetting the neighbours.
I consider my purchase very acceptable given the budget price.

Thankfully this arrived a few days before the recent UK long heatwave and has been a godsend in a small flat.
Easy to move on wheels and quickly brings the temperature down to bearable.
On the downside it’s noisy. I doubt anyone could sleep with it on, even on the low setting.
Comes with a window kit which is only suitable for sash windows.
Also, the pipe fittings are fiddly to connect.
And… the cool air seems not to come out directly from the front, blowing straight ahead. Weird.
No idea what the adjustable grill is supposed to do. Moving it up on down doesn’t change a thing in air direction.

    Good but loud

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersIt finally arrived after being about 5 or 6 days late, but I have only used it for around 40 minutes so far. But it was the hottest day of the year for my area and its held up well.

This machine was in a south facing room so it was roasting hot and this machine took it down to a much cooler temperature within around 30 minutes, so if I had left it on longer it would have cooled the room a little more I would have thought.

The other thing is it has not only cooled my living room but it cooled my kitchen at the same time because my kitchen is joined on to my living room (door removed between rooms) and the rooms are around 12ftx12ft each.

I closed the windows and blinds to make the machine more efficient, but I only put the pipe out of the window a bit quick just to test if it was any good so when it’s fixed properly it will work even better.

Make no mistake about it this machine works and is well worth the money but the only downside is that it’s very loud and by loud I mean loud, but it’s worth it, I can sleep with this no problem as I am used to sleeping with loud fans, but if your watching the TV you have to have it up loud and that’s not good when you live in a block of flats.

Don’t mistake these machines for coolers as I own a cooler (you add ice and water) and they are rubbish compared to these proper air con machines.

It isn’t all that big really but it’s quite heavy to carry if your not strong enough it may be a problem, but it does have wheels to move it around if needed.

The pipe exhaust that goes outside is rather large in width and it’s much bigger than I thought it would be, but it’s very short in length (it needs to be short to work at its best) so I have to put the machine on a table in order to get the pipe to reach my window, and even then it just about stretches.

I would give this machine 9/10 and if it had been quieter I would have given 10/10 but like I say well worth the money, if you suffer with the heat then an aircon is the way to go.

Some reviewers about this product are being picky but in my opinion it is a good buy for what it does.

*update*- Have used this machine a number of times now and it has also been fixed to the window properly and it works very well indeed, cools the room quite quickly and it cools it to a perfect temperature. It really is a good piece of kit to have lying around for really hot weather like we have been suffering lately.

And don’t forget that with global warming, the earth is only going to get hotter as the years go on, so one of these machines could be a life saver with people with health issues.

I’m a bit worried about my electric bill though lol but its worth the money in my opinion, but this machine is energy rated A so should be cheaper than what they used to cost.

Bought it for the 40c heatwave in 2022, managed to keep a 3x3m room comfortable with 4 people in it, and a 3×2 room nice and cold. The hose is a little short but fine for our use

Bought this just prior to the current heatwave here in the UK in August 2022 for the price of 188.25 including free delivery through Prime..simple to operate,I had it up & running within a few minutes of opening the box,it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made & trust me I’ve made a lot!! I don’t find it noisy,I can easily watch & hear the TV with it on,in fact I have another in my bedroom & sleep with it on no problems at all,in a 4m x 5m room with doors closed on the 16c setting I find it goes nowhere near that but it will take the temperature down to around 19c no matter how long it’s left on for but when the outside temperature is in the 30’s & my SW facing house can have indoor temperatures easily in the high 20’s even with blinds & curtain’s plus the windows closed 19-20c is absolutely fantastic for me & my dog’s too,I’ve only used the air conditioning & none of it’s other features on the unit & I can’t see me ever using it for anything other than the aircon to be honest..it’s lightweight in my opinion,as with all these mobile unit’s the exhaust hose is pretty short depending where you want the unit situated in your home but what I will say if you suffer health-wise due to the heat then I 100% recommend buying one of these unit’s & this one gets 10/10 from me especially at the price point, operation is simple by remote or manually,it cools a room down pretty quick, much faster than I thought it would..my only vice is that I wish I’d bought it year’s ago.. fantastic device!

Overall, this is pretty good, and made life bearable during the various hot spells (both for working from home, and simply existing…). However, it is very loud. Sitting about 1.5m from it with noise cancelling headphones on was fine though.
Sleep mode isn’t much quieter than normal, but for me on balance, a comfortable temperature is far better than a silent environment.
The included window kit is reasonable (better than nothing, but a better solution should be sought), but glad it was included.
Not a fault exactly, but the ‘swing/oscillating’ function seemed to have very reduced range compared to expected. Don’t know if this was by design or a fault, but for Mr it wasn’t the most important feature, so acceptable.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWell, it works. Cools down small bedroom in no time on the max setting. But larger sitting room with joined kitchen takes time to cool. Easy to set up and connect to the app. Comes with all attachments needed.
First thing i didn’t like, that hose attachment on the back, to let the hot air out, doesn’t fix properly so it is slightly blowing hot air through the sides.

Second, sleep mode does basicly nothing. Just disables fan speed and keeps it to the minimum, but it doesn’t make it quiet. Even on the lowest setting unit is very loud, no chance to sleep with it on. And the screen does not switch off even with sleep mode, so in the dark room it is annoying.

I bought this mainly because of hot nights, as our baby struggles to sleep when it is so hot. But this unit wakes him up as well, so no use out of it. Will try to return.
By the way, the price when i bought it was 349, which was not too bad for this air con. But now it is 499! Way too expensive

    Air conditioner with some cons.

Nice unit that is helping me survive the 40 heat in London today. Noisy but I think any portable A/C unit will be and I don’t care as it’s taken my sitting room temperature from 38 to 28. Can still hear the TV over it though. Nicer looking than most units too. I put off buying one for a long time using the evaporative air coolers instead but this is sooooo much better.

So.. Is it loud? When the refrigeration kicks in it’s pretty loud yes

Cools great we had ours upstairs during the heatwave today and a fan downstairs the house was cold! We live in a South facing 2 up 2 down cottage and usually it’s ROASTING

You need a window kit. You can’t just shove the house out the window it won’t work you need to use the one supplied or get the universal one with the zip you don’t want warm air coming in.

Totally impressed was a good price and does the job. I’m sure it’s basic compared to others but as an emergency purchase it was much better than expected

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this 9000btu AC yesterday. It came with the window seal kit, with fabric that includes a zipper opening for the exhaust hose, and sticky velcro to seal the fabric around the window opening. It was very easy to set up and connect to my smart phone. The digital display shows the target temp, not the actual temp., but on the phone app it does show both the target temp and the actual temp. I have it placed in my sitting room which is 20 metres square, it cooled it down with extreme ease, went down from 26 to 22 degrees within an hour approx. I opened the room door to try to cool the kitchen a bit, I think it can cope.
Last year I bought a Dyson fan for more than 500, which did not help during the heat wave as it only creates an air current but has no cooling effect, I find this AC much better than Dyson with the added advantage of a lower price.
It is noisy, similar to a fan, but I do not care as long as it keeps us cool, we’ll need it only a for few days a year after all.

Cool, who cares about the noise

Quite a noisy thing, there’s not a chance you can leave this thing on at night while you’re sleeping, even in sleep mode.

The unit does pump out nice cold air at a fast rate, but feel that it’s inadequate at bringing down the temperature of the room at a rate you would think is acceptable even with the exhaust correctly installed; though think this is the downside of portable AC’s rather than this machine

Really pleased with this purchase. Love the fact I can control this from my phone so I can turn it on before I go into my office which can get hot and stuffy. Quite a nice design and added bonus to add ice packs to the water tank.

I considered buying an air con unit but didn’t want to pay 250+ so this is a great alternative for anyone looking for a more affordable solution to keep cool.

It works. It makes the room colder, quickly. This summer was a much more pleasant experience. Can’t comment on longevity since we’ve only had it a few months. But up until now it’s been pretty much perfect. Only thing is it is quite noisy when you’re sat next to it. But that’s a minor issue vs the great cooling we get.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Usershe room we use this in, is approx 4m x 5m with high ceilings. we also don’t have the correct window for the attachment so i cant seal the room properly, BUT.. this thing works wonders. Don’t get me wrong its not amazing in high heat (35C-36C+) but it makes the room cool enough to sleep in summer. I only brought this half way through summer and my only regret was i didn’t buy it earlier. the noise isn’t that bad after a while as you get used to it and now we’ve hit winter i’ve packed it away and i actually miss the noise, felt like it helped me sleep. made me feel refreshed in summer.

only DISLIKES i can think of is.
-It’s quite heavy so lifting it can be an issue.
-you have to have a large tube hanging out the window.
-its difficult to place it as the tube hole is on the back, you cant put it against a wall. it sticks out kinda to far for my liking.
    -It’s a bit of a eye sore.
    -Noise might be an issue.

    LIKES
    – cools the room quite rapid, room is 4m x 5M.
    – moveable on wheels.
    – has a remote.
    – filters are easy to clean
    – low energy cost (700W)

All round i really like this product and would recommend if you hate the hot weather in summer and like me struggle to sleep. big thumbs up!

    Absolutely love this AC.
For so long I wanted an AC for those summer heats.
Not many ,true but when they come is really awful ,especially when you have small kids in the house or elders , as they the ones who feel the most discomfort.
This is a powerful AC of 1100 Watt.
    Cooling capacity 9000BTU.
It can work on three modes; cooling, dehumidifying and fan with adjustable fan speeds and swing function.
I had the chance to try it at 29′ and the AC worker really well ,it cooled down the air quite fast and in a pretty big area.
I kept it in my living room which joins my kitchen so pretty large space.
It is a bit noisy when is on AC mode ( like most of AC) ,however on fan mode is fairly quiet.
When used as a dehumidifier , it easily remove moisture from the air about 1L/h which is huge comparing to others.
Also there is a water tank full indicator so you keep a track of it.
It is portable ,quite big and robust .
Heavy too ,however the 360′ rotation wheel system helps a lot the situation as it makes it easy to cary it necessary .
It almost feels like a holiday trolley 🙂
Comes with the window pipe and all required fittings.
The menu is pretty easy ,it has digital control panel and as addition you can set the timer .
The remote looks smart too.The AC can be controlled with the remote or with your smartphone via the free HomeWizard climate app. Compatible IOS and Android, as well as via Siri.
Overall this is a fantastic item ,well pleased and would highly recommend !

It does the job, it is quite loud, and it doesn’t blow out directly towards you, it blows out to the right which is quite strange I have to point it almost to the wall to feel the air in my direction which really bugs me because I have to turn it every time I use it, but for the money and a god send in the heat its okay, it would be perfect for a static caravan, thats what I would say is its ideal use!

This is a superb product by Princess and includes almost everything a home will need in terms of improving air quality and freshness. I will mention that despite the fairly bulky design, it is still very easy to manoeuvre around the house thanks to the very ergonomic wheels. If this wasn’t good enough, this Smart Mobile Air Conditioner and Dehumidifier also comes with an easy to use remote control which can easily customise settings and modes with a few taps of a button.

I cannot comment on the dehumidifier settings at the minute as my home doesn’t get humid during the Summer however I will be sure to update this review in Winter when this setting will be required more. Though, with that being said the device has a built in tank which will alert you when it needs to be emptied via the App or UI Display on the top surface of the product. To do this simply unscrew the bottom tap and the water should come pouring out. This would be easiest on a wooden/tiled flooring as the product tends to sink into carpet, making it harder to put a basin (bowl) to catch all the water to empty.

The product comes with the window vent kit which is easy to install to the back of the product. This vent can be adjustable in length and angle to make it easier to place through the window. This feature is required for all features of the device where hot air is blown out the back of the device through the venting system. This will ensure that your room stays cool and perfectly conditioned.

It is also very simple to connect via the app. Simply press and hold on the power button on the product and you will hear 3 beeps after a few seconds. This means the device is ready to connect via the app and WIFI. Then open the Home Wizard Climate App on your chosen device (must be connected via WIFI) and you can effortlessly use your phone as the remote control. As long as this product is on you can adjust its settings anywhere in the home where WIFI is accessible.

Though my one concern is the noise the device makes. I found that it was distracting after a while especially in my bedroom where I like to have quiet work time. Though it is nice that there is a timer function and ability to activate via Google Assistant.

The fan setting isn’t anything exceptional but is still good with a good cold breeze which can be adjusted in temperature using the remote control. Overall however, for 500 I expected a little more customisation including silent/sleep mode. Hence, 4 stars!

Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! 🙂

I have wanted an air conditioner for so long and I finally took the plunge! After several days of comparisons, reading reviews and the usual deliberating that I always do. I went with this one, it had many positive reviews and the main complaint was noise!
In a nutshell, it’s actually very good and zero complaints, the noise is as expected, I personally think it’s okay, yes its noisy but no more than my large floor standing industrial type fan, the type that sits close to floor and has metal mesh case, it’s got a smaller footprint and it actually cools the air, no more getting hit in the face with a warm wave of air!! Air is fired out the front but directed to the left side not straight ahead which I found strange, one reviewer here made fins to help send breeze forward instead of to the left, I think thats a good idea but where I have mine placed it’s not necessary.
Having finally got one I discovered the pipe at the back of the air conditioner is to pump the warm air gathered out of the room, I didn’t know that, although it’s obvious really, (I expected liquid or something, shows you how much I know about them). so it’s very important to use an air conditioner in a sealed room, no open windows. It will still pump out cold air but the heat removed is actually rather warm and your room’s temperature will not change too much.
Controls are easy to use, it cools my room down nicely and I will have it for Years to come.
So my advice is to bite the bullet and invest in an air conditioner, I’m happy I finally did and this one is probably as good as any at this price point. I was tempted to get a more expensive one but I doubt there will be much if any improvement.
I’ve had it a few months now, moved it round the house and it’s all good I noticed prices go up in heatwaves as demand rises, I was going to buy another but it had gone up by 80!

As the planet slowly boils, why not make the slide to serious global warming a bit more comfortable?

This fan is really good. Easy to get up and running, and very quickly I had a huge blast of cool air. Lots of simple controls on the unit, plus a decent app makes it an excellent package. Highly recommended.

Good value product. Noise is moderate so you may need earplugs if using through the night. Also shame lowest temperature is only 16C, has still been very handy through the heatwave.

Works okay, but struggles in my bedroom that is well below the dimensions that this listing says the item will cool. The compressor is loud when it cuts in, so no good for light sleepers like me. When one uses just the fan, air still comes from the pipe/hose. This does not happen with my other two air conditioners. This unit always needs to be vented but because of the short hose, I have to stand it on a table by the window!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a real aircon with compressor inside. Note one of those evaporative coolers being sold as aircons (which in UK are a waste of time. It’s too humid here for evaporative coolers to do anything). The headline is that this aircon works well at cooling my room. At the time I got this one though it was the cheapest available on Amazon uk. There are some niggles about it, compared to my other unit make me give this only 4 stars. The cool air is blown out at a weird angle – if you face it directly to you, the air will blow to your left-hand side. My other aircon has some vertical fins you can use to adjust the direction of air, but this one doesn’t. It’s very loud – I’m quite a heavy sleeper and I’d say it’s still a bit loud for me to sleep easily. The remote doesn’t have a display on it, meaning you can’t see what changes you’re making to the settings – this means you don’t know what speed you’re setting, or whether you’re setting cool, fan or dehumidify mode without getting up to look at the unit. The unit doesn’t tell you what the current temperature is, meaning it’s a bit of trial and error to choose a comfortable temperature set-point. In aircon mode, I feel like it really dries out the air – more so than my other unit – to the point that my eyes sting if it’s on for too long. I found that hanging a wet towel up in the airstream helped, so I’ve ordered a humidifier to counter this. So there are these niggles, but if you’re in the market for the cheapest possible air conditioner, and this one is the cheapest you can find, then I’d recommend it. If you want something a bit nicer to be around though, my other one was half-price end of line (so not available any more), but if it’s representative of what 300-400 gets you on an aircon, I can also see the benefit of paying a bit more for some quality of life features.

Purchased for the latest heatwave, seems well made but as other reviewers have stated it is quite loud.

Seems to take the temperature down around 6 degrees from what it would be normally.

Our main bedroom is well within the size limits but is south west facing so by the evenings even with blinds and windows shut can reach 30C (same as outside)

Using the unit constantly for around 2 hours from 5pm the temp dropped to around 24.5C.

As an experiment I ran this morning when outside was 23C the bedroom started at 24.5C and after 2 hours was 20.9C this is with the unit set at 16C.

Makes a difference but am not blown away.

After 3 days of using the unit its seeming to sometimes switch to fan mode no cool, turning it off and back on again is resolving this issue at the moment but hope there isn’t a fault.

Slighting worrying shudder when turning on and off too perhaps another fault?

A few of the things reviewers on here are saying are correct, but a lot of it isn’t, in my experience.

The air does come out at an odd angle, but just rotate the machine to the direction you need. The hose is a bit short if you have conventional windows but I did manage to make it work. Yes, it probably doesn’t get your room down to the kinds of temperatures a built-in wall unit or more expensive portable unit can achieve.

However, I can tell you that I was suffering so badly in an upstairs maisonette during this heatwave that I almost packed my bags. This machine has completely changed the game for me and made life bearable. It probably drops the ambient temp by about 5-10 degrees within an hour or two and I don’t really pay attention to the 16 degrees setting on the device. It can make a huge difference. Putting my hand against the fan the air is objectively cold, so not sure why people were saying it was just blowing out room temp air.

As for the noise, mine is quite loud but it’s an air conditioner. If you’ve ever slept on a flight then you can sleep with this on. I just had the best 8 hours of sleep in over a week with this thing whirring away next to me. I probably wouldn’t have it on while I am doing a work call but I can do just about everything else, including watching TV.

Used upstairs in a south facing bedroom and made a pleasant cool breeze but didn’t cool the room. North facing bedroom much better, reduced the temperature from 24 to 19 degrees in a few hours when 28 outside.

This air conditioner is pretty noisy but the upside is it’s great at cooling so you only need to run it for an hour or so to cool down a room. Really wish it had a sleep mode or more granular fan control as the two fan speed settings are practically the same and equally as noisy!

Golden Review Award: 58 From Our UsersI should start by saying I have bought this for my shed that is now being used as an office.

Originally I bought one of those cooking fans with the water and ice packs – they do absolutely nothing might as well just buy a fan.

Unfortunately with a shed a fan literally blows around warm air and even having the door open just ends up circulating warm fresh air.

So I’ve opted for an air conditioning unit!

    Review:
    Pros
    1. Price – it’s under 300 and at the time of buying Amazon offered 5 interest free instalments with next day delivery.
    2. Size – it’s small and compact and actually takes up less space than many of those cooling fans
    3. It works!I was skeptical I could instantly feel the coolness.
    4. Multifunctional – can be used as a fan, as aid con, or as a dehumidifier
    5. Comes with a remote
    6. Comes with a window adapter kit (although useless for many who have windows that open outwards as it’s for windows you push up)

    Cons
    1. It’s loud(ish)for daytime use it’s absolutely fine and it’s what you’d expect for a fan and air con – I really wish it had a night mode or a slower fan speed.
It states 65db which is the level of people talking and having a conversation – but less noisier than a busy road. (So if you want to use it at night you’d need to be a deep sleeper and be able to sleep through the sound level of people having a good old natter in your room)
    2. I lived in japan for 8 years – on normal air con the dehumidifier goes quiet as it’s just filtering the air of moistureyet this continues to use the fan and makes the same amount of noise.
    3. If you have a window that doesn’t push up then the supplied window kit is useless.

All in all it’s a decent unit that was under 300. It certainly does cool. (For those complaining it doesn’t go below 16 – normally you have it set to a few degrees below the actual temperature and you’d feel the coolnessthere’s absolute no need to go below 16 degrees – this is an air con unit NOT a refrigerator)
This is great for daytime use although might be noisy for some.

I would NOT recommend this if you want to use it whilst sleeping.

(Why Amazon is asking to rate the sleep mode I have no ideait doesn’t have a sleep mode)

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis product is an amazing cooler. It is great for cooling my server room at certain times of day. However, it is important to note that the timer function does not work on loop, once it reaches the time it turns it on/off and forgets the timer programming. If you want it to come on at certain times of the day and off at others like me, I purchased a broadlink rm4c mini, which allowed me to set it up to send the ir signal from the remote to turn it on/off at certain times of day. It is also important to know that the unit can be quite noisy, so it noise is a big factor there may be other units, but I couldn’t find any others that were quiter. Despite this, it does the job well and is GREAT value for money compared to many other units on Amazon.

Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersThis produces a good air flow of 320 Cu Meters (11300 Cu ft) per hour of cool air which is 11 degrees C below the incoming air temperature, so if the room is 25 deg C, then the output will be 14 deg C. the airflow is directed predominately to the left & center. I presume this is to direct the flow around the room to help with an even distribution. The noise level I measured at 60 db at 1 meter, which is a little below that specified (65 db) It is similar to our dishwasher running to give a comparison. People have mentioned that the hose is not long enough at 1.5 m. the answer to this is to extend it with 150 mm ducting hose which is the same diameter as the supplied hose and is easy to attach to the existing hose just by pushing one inside the other and tying round with string, no complicated adapters or connectors needed. This is available from a national tool store which sound a bit like train station, and is priced around six pound for three meters, longer lengths also available. When taking room temperature readings, make sure the thermometer is away from walls and surfaces which will influence the readings, preferably near the center of the room where a truer reading is more likely. Walls hold the heat and take a long time to cool down, I found a three to four degree difference between a wall thermometer and a temperature probe located in the center of the room. Running cost to me (my tariff is 16 p per kilowatt hour) works out at about 12 p per hour (780 watts) running continuously, or less if the thermostat kicks in, 10 hours 1.20, not bad for the amount it will get used in the UK. I am happy to pay that to remain comfortable during the hot weather.

Update, I tried setting the timer for the first time in just over a year since purchased, the numbers set ok and the temperature but when allotted time arrived it did not switch on. tried again same thing and the yellow timer light was not staying on, only when setting up was the light illuminated. There is no mention in my inst book about any further procedure, however thinking about it it seems that the inputted info is not being stored, so tried a few things and low and behold if you hold the timer button down for a couple of seconds after setting the digits, then the yellow light stays on and the timer works as it should do. Later instructions may have corrected text of course, I hope this helps anyone who has had problems setting the timer up.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis was purchased for my sister in the middle of our summer heatwave. She has an illness that makes it hard for her to use ordinary fans because the feeling of a breeze sets off extremely painful nerve reactions in her face.

While this unit isn’t going to cool a house, it cooled the bedroom beautifully, and did help lower the overall temperature in their one bedroom bungalow very slightly.

This really is best used as a one room unit, so pick the room you wish to keep cool, and recognise this is a small unit, so as I said, it’s not designed to cool an entire house.

It was quick to set up because we ordered the window adaptor the same time… be prepared to add that to your costs.

Running costs were not as bad as some units, and noise levels were bearable.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersNot sure many people use air conditioners right..remember the hose is stiuck out of a window as its blowing the hot air out from inside your room….

Also keep the door closed when using the machine

And finally remember to keep an eye on the water level inside the machine as it dehumidifies the air the water its taking in will store in the machine will need to be drained or it will stop working if too full…there should be a section at the bottom of the machine to drain the water after every 8-10 uses

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersDelivers cool air however its reach is somewhat limited. In a reasonably large bedroom it dropped the temperature by 4 degrees centigrade when outside temps were 33 degrees however it took many hours to do this.
Air direction control is also limited as vent only goes up and down however whole unit is on wheels so can be easily turned left and right.
As with all these types of air con units, the hose is too short for most homes.
