Like many others, I fitted this in my garage utility where I only have a cold water feed. It’s spot on, the water get’s reasonably hot if you reduce the flow slightly. It’s by no means a trickle when you do so for all those nay sayers telling you it’s rubbish, they’re wrong. Yes it’s not like your kitchen tap pressure for hot water but come on, did you really expect it to be for 60? It does a great job and I definitely would buy again.

We have several of these taps now and one had stopped working, so the supplier quickly sent out a replacement. The flow is slow as mentioned in other reviews but it does warm the water and is perfect for washing animal bowls in a small space.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAppears well made. Each buyer will buy for their own reason, mine is to have instant hot on one kitchen tap at any time. We heat our hot water via daily solar and on occasions we may need to top it up with gas. This causes us hot water issues, therefore this seemed a good option for those days.

Easy to install on my system which I’ve fitted isolation valves. It requires a 1/2inch double ended flexible hose pipe to attatch cold water feed. That’s why isolation value becomes important. Then noting the unit can draw higher than 3000 Watts, I’ve installed a breaker Fused socket and a 13a feed socket to ensure the fuse breaks if needed. But I may rewire into a 30A cooker socket and ensure one is used not both. This gives peace of mine but after each use I wall isolated the supply easily by flicking a switch. This adds extra safety.

Now the obvious negatives. This is a DIY fit, it’s a wire a plug fit also. If you can’t do that don’t buy.

The hot water feed is eliminated fitting this tap, but there is a way around this with a plan. So when, like us you’ve stored hot water, you can tap into it without needing it to be heated by this tap. So at the moment and for most ppl with no utility room, this will be the only source of water, be it cold or hot if required. It’s a thought to consider if you wish to reduce your consumption bill. The cold is as normal l, the hot has got upto 50degrees, but flow is slower to allow heating of water.

So to sum up. Good, but a compromise for some, adequate hot flow, no change to cold flow, need a flexible hose to connect. Need to monitor it under draw and ensure you’ve a fuse spur for safety.

I will submit an edit before January the end return date.

The pros. Hot water, no waiting for immersion heater. No storage of heated water, so save on. Energy.

If I’m honest, boiling a kettle for dishes may have been the real option. It would save on The 80 quid spent on the project at 6p a boil!

Updated review 21st Dec. Balencing up outlay cost, and its use, a kettle would be the sensible option. I decided to plumb into the hot water feed, ensuring that Im able to use solar stored hot. Its much better and does not affect the flow when cold. I use utility to fill kettle so no issues there

You only heat the water you need to use. We bought one to try it out and it worked well therefore we have bought a second one for the bathroom sink

5.0 out of 5 stars It saves a lots of energy

Looks good heats up well easy to install.
Pleased with the price. Makes life easier and saves on gas and waiting for the water to get hot this is much quicker.

Very easy to fit and plumb in. Don’t be heavy handed on the on off though. It feels a bit less robust than a conventional tap valve. That said, this is a clever functional tap which is very efficient.

Brilliant piece of kit. Simple to fit and does what it’s meant to.

Easy to install and is plug and play. No more boiling my kettle to get hot water and is cheap to run. Hope it will be reliable and long lasting. If it is then I will get another for my bathroom.

I’ve bought this model several times now (for different rooms) and I’m really happy with it. It can be a bit fiddly to tweak to the desired temperature when you first get used to it but it works really well. The temperature gauge is accurate – note it can get really hot which is great when I use it to wash dishes but I wear rubber gloves to protect my hands.
The flow rate changes as you adjust temperature but even at a low flow rate (for hotter water) it’s still adequate for kitchen sink tasks. Washing up dishes takes no time and I use far less water now too. No tank means it takes up less space and the hot water really is instant. It is a bit on the large size which is fine for kitchens. Still looking to find a smaller version suitable for a bathroom which is smaller. I’ve tried 4 alternative “instant hot taps” but none stood up to the finish, reliable temperature range or usability as this tap.
I recommend this product and I would buy again.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersIt looks stylish, works well, instant hot water. Let’s see how long it lasts. I love it though. I have completely switched off the immersion heater now as no need to boil gallons of water that i may/may not use. Should pay for itself in the short term. Get a professional in to fit it though.

This tap was fitted for use in an under stairs toilet and sink. The single, cold feed and 240volt plug in power source made installation easier and operation more energy efficient than running from a distant boiler.

An excellent product for a small sink.

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersIf you have trouble getting fast hot water out of your tap, this is the thing.
I can’t be fussed with boiling water – our kettle makes water hot in a minute so why buy a system that requires you to leave it on all day for three cups of coffee?
This just plugs into the cold water input and heats water within 5 seconds. What’s not to like?

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersHad this installed in our office kitchen, where we had no hot water before.

We had a plumber install it and he added a plug to the wire so we can unplug it when we are not in the office and also have the added security of the fuse in the plug. There were mentions of some buyers experiencing smoke from the device so we thought it better be fused and unplugged when the office is empty. The cold water works without electricity.

The temperature is easy to adjust, cold at the top and warm when the tap is turned down. The display doesn’t light up until you are turn on the warm water and weirdly the warm water it hottest when the tap is closest to the cold, and gets colder the more you turn the tap towards the sink away from the cold. It seems the perfect handwashing temperature of 40 degrees is roughly at 45 degrees (picture 3) and it takes seconds to reach that temperature. Ours range from cold to 60 degrees.

The tap is neat but very tall, so water does splash a bit around the sink (picture 2), it would have been an idea to have designed the the heating thing to sit below the surface, so the tap was normal height (hence only 4 stars).
The plumber wanted to turn down the water pressure to avoid splashing, however when he did, the hot water couldn’t be adjusted and was 60 degrees all the time, so high pressure is needed to mix and cool the hot water to handwashing temperature…

We have used it for 3 weeks now and are very happy.

    Just what we needed!

Golden Review Award: 39 From Our UsersI have a nice outdoor setup with a bar, small sink and power, however, running hot water to it was just not feasible, meaning i couldn’t wash up glasses etc whilst outside.

This is one of my little upgrades for this year I’ve installed it in place of a single cold water feed tap, plugged it in and voila, i now have hot water on demand for washing up, now all i need are people to come drinking in my garden.

Installation was rather simple as it’s just a normal setup except for the fact that it needs power, i placed a plug below and off to the side of my tap in order to avoid any potential issues with leaks etc…better safe than sorry. The water heats up quite quickly given instant warm water, it doesn’t give boiling water, so don’t expect to be able to make cups of tea out of the tap, but it’s warm enough to wash up in and use to pre-boil your water if you need a quick cuppa.

If like me, you have a space where extending your boiler to is not an option, then this is a great, compact solution (much better than those big chunky electric water heater in my opinion)

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersThis tap fixes a long term problem with these taps. To get to the hot setiing, you must first turn the handle through cold, and crucially to turn off the tap from hot, you turn via cold. This is clever, as it flushes hot water out of the chamber , which otherwise would overheat, and stess the internals ofd the tap.
This is my third electric tap in my kitchen – the previous two failed for the above reason, so looking forward to seeing how long this one lasts.
Otherwise, it is a fairky sturdy tap, easy to install and not garish like the original ones.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt took around 1 hour to install the tap into my kitchen, visually it looks good with the overall style of my kitchen, I installed it to save money on my energy bills and it take around 5 seconds for the water to heat up which is very quick and convenient. However a disadvantage is that you need a socket near the tap otherwise you need a extension cable adding onto the cost of the overall installation and the waters pressure isn’t the best compared to the other competitors on the market.

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersSatisfied with the product. It is very easy to install. At first could not find the way how to have hot water, thought it was a crap, but then I found the way-you need to turn the tab all the way down and then turn slowly up; you will notice the temperature getting higher up to 44 degrees if I’m not mistaken which is quite good.

It took some time to install, but it’s not very difficult. You might need to buy a flexible tap hose to fits it, because it’s bigger than standard sink hole. Anyway,it works great and good price.

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersSaves money I have not used my immersion heater since I bought this item, common sense required, run long enough cold water to remove air, always open full in hot mode then turn straight off this will prolong the life, preventing heat build up in unit. ps I dont work for these people I just know how to, same with an electric shower never turn off from hot, they last a lot longer.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this a year ago and wanted instant hot water because I had to wait 35 to 50 seconds in the kitchen faucet to wash my hands. Now I get it in 7 to 10 seconds. If you want to wash the dishes with it, wash your hands and it’s great. Its cold pressure is very good, but if you want to fill your sink with hot water, it’s not good, because you need to adjust the pressure to flow slowly. Adjust the heat it comes out. If you want 42 degrees, the pressure is not very high, if you need 40-60 degrees whixh, you need to fill the bowl and you seem to fill the bowl for more than 5 minutes
