Its big and sturdy, stands up to a bit of tossing and turning and is fairly comfortable. Definitely gets my vote.
No for the backpacker and I wouldn’t fancy carrying it from the carpark to the tent area at a festival, it is a bit heavy.
Nice sturdy camp bed, comfy enough that I bought a second one
Really comfortable, and solidly built. It’s a couple inches longer than a standard camp bed, that combined with the slight rise of head end makes a real difference to getting a good night’s sleep.
Bought this for my son’s flat. ( Better than sleeping on the sofa. ) I’m told it is sturdy and comfortable providing you have a sleeping bag or duvet to lie on. When folded it doesn’t take up much room so easy to store
I used this to camp in my house for a few weeks while I painted and decorated. I confidently sat on this to put socks on (it didn’t break, or fold up on me). After a couple of weeks, I added an inflatable lilo, which the bed accommodated comfortably, but that was just my personal preference. Looking forward to using this on my next camping road trip.
Absolutely love this bed.
Me and my partner are new to camping and first couple trips used an airbed which gave us bad backs.
We got two of these and they are honestly fantastic.
Comfy but we bought a very thick quilt for added comfort.
I’m a larger lady and honestly thought it’d be rubbish but it held my weight no problem.
Only con is it can be a bit stiff when folding back up but nothing too major.
Had to use in an emergency for a few weeks whilst awaiting a new bed. Was perfectly adequate and stable to hold my 23st 6ft 4 husband. Very sturdy. Might purchase another one just because the quality was so good.
Sturdy, strong, easy to put up and down, wide enough for a big girl to turn around on as I fidget a lot!
I used a self inflating mat on top and this really is essential for a good night’s sleep.
Overall a good product.
This is a comfy bed, easy to put up and fold down, took a me a while to realise that if you push the sides down above the second legs in and the second to last legs that they lock in and the bed is firmer and more comfy (not an issue just an observation that I did’t know I should have done that from the off) the bag is cheep but functional and the long carry handle makes it easy to carry over my shoulder.
My kids also use it for their friends in sleepovers and I would happily use it for single guests when beds and space are a premium.
I also got it out in the garden the other day to write my name on it, and thought I’d have a quick lie down in the sun, most comfy sun bed ever!!! 🙂
All in all a little more pricey than I would have liked, bag quality is not the same as the bed, but good bed really comfy, very happy with my purchase.
I’ve got a 42″+ chest and am 5ft11’ish and there’s just enough room for me.
However, I would suggest using a mattress topper or some other soft padded material to take the edge off the rigidity on the sleeping surface.
However, overall, we expect this bed to give years of reliable service.
I bought this as I was going to a festival for 4 nights and I hate sleeping on an airbed. It’s quite heavy so you wouldn’t want to have to carry it far. I have a trolley though which helps.
I was a bit worried it wouldn’t be comfortable but I was definitely wrong. I found it really easy to sleep on with my back or lying on my side. Super comfy and the side pocket was a convenient place to keep my things like phone, charger, ear plugs and eye mask.
Pulled it out of my tent in the morning to lie in the sun
Would definitely recommend.
I’m a bigger girl as well and it was super sturdy.
It’s stiff fabric so doesn’t fold easily. It’s long enough for 6ft+ person and wide enough not to catch your elbows on the frame. I’ve put on a picture of a plastic thingy that doesn’t seem to fit anywhere and was loose in the box. Any ideas please
Originally bought this during lockdown – as there were no sun loungers available. Due to the construction you can sit anywhere on it and it doesn’t tip up. As I couldnt get a cushion I used it without- and it’s so comfy you don’t need one. Folds away really easily and opens out within seconds. It doesnt have adjustable positioning – just flat, but its design is such thats its amazingly comfy. Its been used alot and is still like brand new. One of my best purchases ever.
It’s amazingly simple and easy to fold and unfold, is very strong but needs a mattress to be comfortable. To be as sturdy as it is the canvas is stretched very tight making a hard bed. It would be good if sales pitch mentions mattress recommended. Or does it and I missed it?
Very quick and easy to setup and put away, less than 30 secs to do both. This is my first bed of its kind so unable to compare comfort, but I have had several good nights sleep on the bed, I think the added padding of the sleeping bag helps a little though
I bought 2 of these to use as sun loungers they are sturdier than a standard lounger and a lot less money!!
We bought because we had someone staying while firm, we were told they had a good sleep
Used for camping, bought so I would be higher off the stoney ground, would take up less room than an air mattress and I wouldn’t need to inflate it.
Good points: well thought out design, length/width good, easy to transport, set up and pack away. Sturdy if you remind kids not to sit on the unsupported ends.
Bad points: The carry bag is ripping already and its very uncomfortable to sleep on even with roll mat.
I was glad to be off the ground during rainfall but my back was very painful by the end of our 3 night trip. Generally I would recommend it, but it does depend what your using it for and how many nights you’d be sleeping on it.
Very easy to put up and then pack away when finished using. Really sturdy and surprisingly comfortable. A very good purchase all round.
Really good I’m a large lady and it was just right, did need a mattress underneath just for comfort, but definitely recommend
Such an easy bed to put up, have not used it yet so cannot say about comfort.
This replaced my old bed that had ripped. Pleasantly surprised at how well made it is and a good size. Materials used are quality and I liked the little side pocket. Definitely worth the extra money.
Bought this to go to a festival after many uncomfortable nights on a blow up bed. This is super handy as it comes in a back you can carry over your shoulder and isn’t at all heavy.
The bed is so easy to set up and is very sturdy. It’s wider than the usual camp bed which is great as you don’t end up laying on the bars in the middle of the night. In my eyes this really is worth the money!
Needed when isolating away from the family with the “lurgy”.
Sturdy, comfortable, good size, easy to put up/take down. Slept on it for two weeks very nicely!
Very sturdy, but also very firm, I’m only 9 stone so don’t make a big impact weight wise, this needs a bed roll to sleep on for extra comfo
It is a very good product nice and strong quite easy to put up. I would recommend this.
This is really easy to put up and fold down, packs tidily into its carry bag so is easy to store in the hall cupboard or garage. We have not however found it that comfortable. I, an older lady, found it very hard to sleep on. I folded a double synthetic duvet in 3 to make a mattress which helped a bit but I still wouldn’t want to have to sleep on it a few nights in a row. A visitor in her late 40’s coped better with the hard surface but found it unsuitable for a side sleeper. Despite being a bit wider than normal camp beds she still ended up with knees and hips on the side tubing. The second night she gave up, put my homemade mattress on the floor and slept on that. I’ve got a child coming to stay soon so hope it will turn out to be OK for her. It’s certainly very stable so I have no worries about it tipping up like the old camp beds used to.
This bed folds up like a big camping chair. It’s way better than sleeping on the floor on a carry mat, IF you’ve got a car to transport your camping bed, or are using this at home as a temporary put up for a guest. Would fit in a lounge etc.
My husband and I bought these for camping. We are both impressed. They are comfortable and sturdy and we both slept very well on them. We are both in excess of 100kg and they did not creak or wobble under us. We did not need to use additional air mattresses on them as there is just enough give in the canvas. They have a strap to keep them tightly folded when you are ready to put them into their sturdy storage bag which they come with, also a useful little pocket hanging from the edge to put things like your specs or mobile phone at night. We will happily use them at home for overnight visitors too. There is a knack to folding them, and once you have found that, it’s very simple.
Highly recommended, and especially suitable for larger people.
As a heavyweight person I was worried about the suitability of any camping bed, even though my weight falls within the limits recommend by this bed. But it is solid, easier than pie to assemble, and doesn’t move around during the night. Highly recommended.
Bed is great; good and sturdy if not a little uncomfortable for me. I have a thin 2’6″ mattress which fits it perfectly and led me to one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in years. Very good solid produc
My daughters hated camping until they slept on these beds. We have bought 6 for our extended family and all said they had a good nights sleep. easy to put up (need a bit of pressure on the middle) and take down (need to turn on sides and squeeze the frame). Brillia
Great bed for camping. Got fed up with sharing a blow up type bed with the wife and always get shoved off so decided to invest in this. Best nights camping sleep I have had in ages. Works even better with the separate fleece cover.
Person using it weighs over 150Kg and was very comfortable using the bed.
Excellent, sturdy camp bed. So easy to open up and fold away. So nice to finally see a well made camp bed. I particularly like that its wider than most, which means the bar does not dig into you.
Good sturdy material and quite comfy although I haven’t slept a full night on it. Slightly larger in width to a cozy vibe bed I bought but of equivalent quality. It also cost about 20 more so not such good value. Both beds a bit ‘sticky’ when putting them up and down but that may improve the more they are used.
There is a slight issue though, one that I resolved for 5 with a pair of ratchet straps. There are two straps attached to parts of the bed that don’t work well enough to constrain my weight after some uses. Using the straps fixed this issue.
There are cheaper versions of this bed, and they don’t work!
Have noticed over time, that some parts of the plastic joints are out of shape, but the bed is holding up.
Overall, some improvements need to be made on the frame. The material is very strong and hasn’t torn.
Absolutely needs some other duvet or mattress on top as some parts of the frame sides with joints can get in the way.
Have also noticed that moisture tends to collect on the material when used overnight in some conditions. Not sure of that is down to the coating on the material or conditions specific to my use, and this happens when I’m wrapped in a waterproof sleeping bag.
Been difficult to write this review as the bed works great in some parts, but needs improvements in other areas.
For a smaller person, this bed maybe ideal.
I used this as a temporary bed following a move where I was waiting for my new bed. It was bigger and heavier than I would expect from a camping bed -it certainly is not suitable for trekking but more like a spare bed for camping if driving. For storage it also take up more space than expected, but then it is a bed, for a grown up person, so what did I expect… At first I was not sure how to unfold it, as the bottom and top kept bending upwards, but after giving it a harder push downward the bottom part became more straight. On the site it does advertise for a mattress and I must say this would be required, as despite two thick blankets and duvet i could still feel the hardness of the bed. I also needed to get used to the width as really not the wide, but it is a single person’s camping bed, not a single bed. I have kept my bed as I want to use it in the summer on the balcony. Some sun rays siesta. So not all wasted, and a spare bed for guests. I can recommend it.
I am 6’2″ and 18 stone. Took it on a camping trip to France last year. Love it. Recommend a thin, inflatable mattress to augment your comfort.
Delivery was less than 12 hours after ordering so very impressed. Also the bag that comes with the bed is great for storage when not required and affords the bed to be stored safely in a shed or garage and will just need airing before use again
Well done!!!
Actually had a few good nights sleep on this, I put a folded duvet on it to act as a mattress, very stable and pretty comfortable.
Handy side pocket to store your phone or torch .
This camping bed is easy to put up and down we used them for a two week camping trip and moved every two or three days. We had self inflating mattresses that we added for comfort and then they were ideal
Great put u up bed. Very comfortable. Husband sleeps like a baby in it. Would revommend. Worth paying that little bit more. Very sturdy and no fear of deflating!!! . T
Great bed! Used twice now for weekend camping and really happy with it. Very easy to put up, really sturdy and comfortable. Glad I chose this and am sure it will last a long time.
It’s too heavy to carry for festival camping but for normal camping when you’re parked pitch side it’s perfect..
I bought this to use in my garden. The sturdiness and quality are excellent and its longer and wider than other similar items. Easy to fold and unfold, very pleased.
I bought this to use as a sunlounger in the back garden. I’m fat around 20 stone and this is grand. Doesn’t move when I get up and is sturdy. Has also been used as a temporary bed for guests.
Slept on this in the back of my horse box at a camp . It’s a bit wider than most so you can lay on your side. I put a thick Pilates mat on it for extra comfort and slept like a log. No assembly, it’s ready in seconds. Quite heavy so not a hiking bed! But really sturdy with a handy big pocket for book, torch, glasses etc.
I bought this a month or more ago.
In short, it’s as good as the seller says it is and is really comfortable to sleep on. It feels very strong and takes seconds to put up and seconds to pack away.
Well worth the money and I recommend it.
very strong and sturdy, I’m 17 stone and not a creak out of it. If was sliding off the bed once but it’s because I decided to camp on a slope. Surprisingly comfortable
Great size bed for a tall adult (i’m 185cm). Camp beds tend to be pretty firm but at least there is enough room to turn over. Also slightly bigger than I anticipated when it’s packed up but I suppose that’s the nature of a wider/bigger bed.
Overall pleased with the excellent quality and ease of opening/folding away.
This is the most sturdy camp bed I’ve seen and it sits at a convenient height from the ground. It also takes less effort to rise in the morning for us oldies and offers a very comfortable night’s rest.
Lovely camp bed which I am using as a sunbed primarily because it folds up very small and easily into a carry bag.
I am using a foam sun bed cushion and beach towels but it would be equally comfortable with a camp bed mattress and sleeping bag.
If you only have a small garden and want to sunbathe then I would highly recommend this as it literally takes seconds to put up and take down and only takes up a small area to store.
Likewise if you are camping it is easy to carry on your shoulder, takes up very little room, is incredibly stable and goes up and down in seconds.
Was hesitant to order this bed as I’m a larger lady (18st). I’m a regular camper and wanted something sturdy. Arrived within 2 days and I’m impressed. Had a lie down and turned over its SOLID! I especially like the footing, see pic. The bag doesn’t represent the same quality as the bed and isn’t going to last long. It doesn’t say on the bed what the max weight it, so one hopes it’s as advertised 500lbs. Have been looking at fishing beds at twice the price, really glad I spotted this bargain.
Well made and really sturdy, this bed would serve as an emergency spare or a camp bed. As an average sized guy, it is plenty large enough for me and quite comfortable too. However, it’s a heavy, quite bulky beast so it’s not for carrying too far. It comes with a storage bag and, for once, it is large enough to get the bed in without too much of a struggle.
1. Sturdy – It is very sturdily made, and feels very secure when you lie on it. But this means it’s a little heavy – you can’t have both ways unless you pay a fortune for specialist alloys. The canvas top feels substantial and stretches tightly over the frame when opened out.
2. Easy – to put up and take down, but it does take a little strength to do it. Might be easier after it’s been used a few times.
3. Packs away into it’s own supplied bag. Bag itself is pretty strong.
But I haven’t tried spending a night sleeping on it, but it feels quite comfortable so I can’t see any reason not to recommend it for this purpose. It would be really useful as a spare bed and it does pack away into quite a small bag.
