The camera is excellent but i read it should last 2 months on one charge with moderate use. Mines only lasting about a month using 3 to 4 percent of the battery a day. But at least you can recharge it using a power bank as its inside a garage.
Did exactly what it was supposed to do – good value and excellent pictures – not needed much at night time but looks ok considering this is not top of the range expensive
A recommended purchase. Does exactly what it advertises it will do. Very pleased. Easy to mount or install.
Bought this to keep an eye on my mares while foaling. Have left it on low pic quality to conserve battery but even on night vision I can see what’s going on and zoom in and put on high quality all from my phone. Will buy a couple more to have in all the boxes.
good clear picture, i am having trouble with playback, sometimes it just doesnt work.
Purchased camera and solar panel for observing Pine Marten some 170 mile away. Initially had some problems with charging but after very patient help from a professional team all was resolved. The camera is currently under test at 58 deg.north mid December and it is charging!
Would recommend camera and solar panel to anyone. If required you can validate my comments through Amazon.
I bought a Reolink Go for my garage. It’s separate from my house with no mains power, and no wifi coverage.
The Go does the job perfectly. It arrived with no sim. I had heard that a Vodafone sim was included, but not with mine. No problem though, I get better coverage with EE in my area, so I bought a cheap PAYG sim and slotted it in. Added an SD card, charged the battery and fixed it to the rafters in my garage.
It works perfectly. As soon as the garage door is opened, the app alerts me. It also sounds a siren – it’s not particularly loud, but could well be enough to frighten away intruders in the middle of a quiet night.
It has around 2-3 bars of 4g signal when in place. Live playback in this dark garage is smooth and crisp, especially in 1080 mode. You can switch it down to a lower quality to improve speed and reduce data usage. You could identify people’s faces in 1080 in night mode, possibly not in low quality mode.
I’ve set the app alerts in my iPhone’s Focus Sleep mode to override Silent setting and alert me at any time. This means that within 60 seconds of the camera sensing my door opening, I can be at my garage with a cricket bat 🙂
I got this on a Black Friday sale and for the price I paid, I’m really pleased. Ideal if you have an outbuilding with no power or wifi. Just check your 4g will be fast enough. Recommended.
Confezione non anonima come quelle cinese me nemmeno particolarmente “interessante” e accattivante.
In alternativa possibile usare l’aggiunta via codice.
I was worried how difficult setting up the camera to use a simple PAYG sim in the UK would be. It was easier than I expected. There is no on/off power button but once the sim and sd card are inserted then when you put the battery (can charge outside of the camera first) into the camera the camera gives audio prompts and connects to Reolink’s servers. Using the app on my iPhone SE I connected to my camera via the Reolink servers and viewed the picture. Best to make sure the camera is in a 3 or more bar signal area as you don’t want signal problems during initial setup. Once connected you can view the video and adjust settings via the app.
The low light colour picture is especially impressive and the PIR detection will easily pick up a rabbit, badger etc running by about 6 to 10ft away and trigger a recording. B&W vision when the light gets really low using the inbuilt IR illumination.
My area often drops to only 3G signal and then I get prompted to go to lower resolution video viewing to make the watching smoother. But you don’t have to if you need to see full resolution and don’t mind the occasional freezing of the video.
I am not so sure about the robustness of the brass threaded camera mounting and the plastic shell for outside use as mine started showing fine hairline cracks radiating in the plastic. I am monitoring them.
I use this for my horse stable and found it so hard to find a camera as I don’t have WiFi or electricity at my yard but then luckily found this camera ! The quality is amazing and the battery lasts a long time I did also purchase a spare battery so I can just keep changing then
Would highly recommend
Great product and easy to install, the picture quality is excellent.
Bought this to keep an eye on my horse in his stable. I check it most often at night when he is in absolute pitch black darkness and the night vision is so clear it actually looks like there is a light shining on the stable. Battery life is weeks or months depending how often you check it (the more you watch, the more the battery runs down) but you can buy spares so you can always have one ready. Build quality is robust and waterproof (and there is an additional cover). Have recommended this to many other horse owners, several of them who have now purchased the same and are equally happy.
It turns out that in order to get email notifications that is done through Google Play wich is not supported on my Huawei smart phone so was of no use to me. Also I personally found that in order to set up for my Laptop too confusing. Shame because I really liked the idea.. unfortunately this is where big companies like Google & USA can influence & affect the rest of us with their personal policies.
This camera was put in place to protect our property.Excellent bit of kit and well worth the money.
After buying 4 trail cameras for the garden and 2 of the better ones stopped working, a friend recommended this. I was sceptical as it’s really a security camera but it is absolutely brilliant as a trail camera too. I don’t have to go out and remove the SD card like I do every morning with a camera trap and I don’t have to go out and switch it on as it can be done from the app on my phone. I can watch wildlife live on my phone and it films hundreds of clips a night in the best quality. Very happy. I’m definitely getting another.
Used for monitoring a remote smallholding, product is really good bit of kit, but really annoyed that I paid 50 more through Amazon than I could get from direct from Reolink’s own website.
Fantastic product and very good fast customer support.
Fully recommend this product A1
You need a DC 5V 2A plug adapter (not included) to plug the USB mini cable into to charge the battery. But, the plug charger you use to charge a mobile phone will do. I am not sure if using a DC 5V 3A will make any difference. It has to be DC 5V anyway.
The SIM has to be a Micro SIM. The Micro SIM from a mobile phone can be used. If you have only a Nano SIM then you can use a 3 in 1 SIM Adapter to make it into a Micro SIM. You can insert an SD card to record video.
All the controls are in the Reolink App. You can switch on or off the motion detection and the night vision (infra red). The camera records only when motion is detected, if the setting is on. But, when viewing live, you can record and save short videos or photos. When viewing live, you can zoom in as you would with any photo image. You can change settings for picture quality etc. You can see the battery charge percentage. The battery will receive most use when there is motion detection or the picture quality is set at a high level or when you are viewing live.
Great, but make sure you buy the solar panel, fantastic motion detection and night vision we use these on remote construction sites and they are excellent! Considering a PTZ version in the near future. Very easy to setup with the included VSim and only costs 4 per month for remote monitoring which is a bargain.
I Bought this to monitor my wifes horses ,which are in a remote rural location, with no power or internet access, this camera is amazing we can monitor the horses live or view the alerts ,we bought the SIM card for 10 which has enough data to last at least 4 weeks ,it still hasn’t run out. The battery hasn’t needed recharging yet.
I have rated this camera before and have been singing my praises, so I will not repeat myself now, but …. I want to talk about Reolink’s fantastic customer support. After having used this camera for more than a year with a Three SIM card I suddenly became unable to connect with my mobile phone, also using a Three SIM. I tried everything (I thought), from using different mobile phones, deleting and re-installing the camera, deleting and downloading the Reolink app, to factory resets – nothing helped. In the end I emailed Reolink’s customer support service with a very detailed description what I had tried and what problems I had encountered. The next day I received a reply. Reolink offered for their engineers to look into the problem but wondered whether I would be prepared, as a last resort, to change my SIM card to another provider. Apparently other customers had noticed that Three and Reolink were not communicating well with each other. Fortunately I had kept the Vodafone SIM card which came with the camera when I bought it. I installed this SIM card, registered with Vodafone (very competitive price of 4 per 30 days for as much data as I need, with a fair use policy, can be cancelled any time) and was able to connect my mobile phone to my Reolink Go camera within minutes. And I have had an excellent connection ever since.
I am so happy that there was not a problem with the camera. The Reolink advisor was spot on with his suggestion to change the SIM card! I am a bit upset that there seems to be a problem with the Three SIM card, because I have been a very happy Three customer for more than 20 years, but never mind.
So, not only do I recommend the Reolink Go camera, I also recommend the Reolink customer support service, and the support Reolink gets from Vodafone. The winner in all of this is the customer!
I am pleasantly surprised by these cameras. Our WiFi is terrible and getting power to cameras is an issue, so I was left with few options with respect to DIY security cameras. I decided to take a punt on 4G/solar and although it is a slightly more costly DIY camera system it certainly has delivered so far.
I have cctv at various points around my house but needed some cover of the drive and a store shed. It was too far away for WiFi and it was in a place that had no power so the Reo link Go was the perfect soloution.
I have been very happy with it for two years when a fault developed in the PIR sensor. The customer service department were second to none and resolved the problem even after the time since purchase. Just a couple of emails back and forth to determine what I had done and what I could try and then less than a week later the sorted it for me. The camera now is back to working perfectly. 10/10 ReoLink.
A very good product.
Daytime picture quality is really good and night vision is clear enough to make out a person’s face if you zoom in. Range is much farther and wider than I thought it would be and you can alter the sensitivity so it doesn’t pick up every passing car on the road.
Easy to set up and install and came with a Vodafone sim card, which was perfect as this is the best network coverage in our location.
The only issue for me is that it does seem to need a very good, strong 4G signal. This is usually not a problem, but given that it is sold as being suitable for remote locations, if you want to check in with it, or view footage following an alert, bear in mind that it is only as good as the 4G signal in that area. I have found that sometimes it won’t connect to my phone, despite having just sent an alert. This can be a little frustrating, but it does save the images to the SD card so you can view them later.
Works perfectly with the Vodafone SIM card (one is included in the pack). Have it setup at my small workshop and it pings your phone when motion is detected easily. Wish it came with a USB plug, that’s why I have it 4 not 5 stars.
This camera is very good value for money, does exactly what it says in the product description. Perfect for keeping an eye on unwanted guests to your property.
You can easily watch from the camera 24 hours a day, with a sleep function in case you leave it on view accidentally.
Playback is good and picture qualify is very clear.
I did have an issue with the infra red lights not working (I’d owned the camera for approx. 3 years) but the team at Reolink were outstanding and solved the problem instantly
I now own 5 Reolink cameras, 3 Go and 2 Go PT, they are excellent for remote locations. I have no electricity and therefore no mains power or Wifi but these cameras solve this. Peace of mind for me when I am not around. Only had a couple of minor app issues which have been solved easily by tech support who are great, my last bit of help was from Peter who was great and resolved my issue very swiftly. Would definately recoomend 🙂
Works really well . Any problems and support is very good.
I am very pleased with my purchase, easy to set up and install. However I cannot comment on the motion detection as this is on my stable yard and would be continuously going off so I have switched this off. I just needed it to check on my rescued ponies throughout the night and its brilliant.
There is only one problem I have with the camera. It was minus 2 the other morning and due to the frost the camera didn’t work (please see photo).
