I’ve been obsessing over this keyboard for far too long but i’ve finally gotten it.
It is worth it, rgb looks sick as it is with the rl61 being white emphasising the rgb even more with outstanding performance. Many modes to choose to your liking and the battery life lasts me for a good 2-3 weeks till it had to be charged. I had originally order the brown switches which had a satisfying tactile sound to it but had to switch them with ‘Gateron Milky Yellow Pro switches’ and sounded 10x more satisfying, quieter to type with in my opinion, but brown switches are still elite.
My problems i’ve had with this keyboard for the past 2 months is that some of my keys would stop working but quickly knew how to fix by doing (( fn + space )) as this restarts the whole keyboard.
Overall, there seems to be no complaints what so ever and is just a decent keyboard with overpowering rgb lighting and it is just fascinating to look at.
The overall keyboard was good. although when using wireless it does bug out sometimes. Doesn’t have tabs on the back to prop it up.
The material of the keys could have been better. However for the price point of under just 50 quid it is a total value for your money.
The Rgb effects are brilliant and easy to set up. Connectivity is via Bluetooth with multiple devices or through dongle to your desktop. Battery lasts for long and I haven’t charged it decor for once in 4 weeks.
The good thing is the key cap/ switch puller comes hands if you have plans to customise as this little keyboard is hot swappable.
I am very happy as I can carry it along with me and even used it with the web browser of my tv and worked like a charm.
I don’t have the biggest desk so when I moved from my full sized mechanical keyboard to this the amount of space I had was incredible. Feels great to type on and gaming is smooth and has great response time over the 2.4Ghz channel for usb!
If you are looking for style and performance this is a must have!
Love the wireless features. This keyboard is hot swappable, despite some others stating it’s not. 60 seems like a good price. The switches are good too, I got the brown ones. Overall definitely recommend!
Everything seems to be working fine. It is being used on PS5 and both wired and wireless modes are working flawlessly. In regards to latency, could not tell you how good it is compared to more expensive keyboards but it seems to be reliable.
Can not really comment on batter life as I only have it for a couple of weeks but I dont think it would be an issue given usb-c port should charge fairly fast.
Lightning is very impressive for the price. It has got a lot of nice presets and LEDs are more than bright enough. On the white keyboard variant it looks really good.
Overall outstanding value for the price.
I can highly recommend this keyboard.
I love the brown switches they are the perfect combination of tactile (not as noisy as the blue switches) and smooth like the red switches. The typing experience is magnificent!
The RGB is stunning and adjustable! This is my first 60% mechanical keyboard and it feels like the right size for me. I especially like how keys share multiple functions and it’s easy to switch between them!
I would recommend this product to anyone starting out in the mechanical keyboard world and wants a budget friendly option!
Firstly the positives:
Doubleshot, OEM keycaps
Easy to read legends
Arrow keys on the lower layer
Decent stabilisers
Lots of RGB options – 18 backlight modes, although you need to switch the keyboard to US mode to activate them!
Decent quality ‘Cherry-MX-inspired’ switches
UK Layout
Negatives:
No Bluetooth switch on the side (it does support up to 3 devices, but you need to use the function keys to scroll through – not as nice as the Redragon K530 where the switch is on the side
Power off is on the bottom – again not as nice as the above keyboard where it is at the side
USB at the back – personal preference I prefer the side
Whilst you get arrows, the trade off is you need to press Fn to type / which is irritating when you’re using linux in particular – apparently you can reassign and remap keys with the software, have not tried yet
Overall a first-class budget mechanical keyboard, best at this price point (slightly ahead of the redragon)
Compact, light & feels great! Very easy to connect, hooked this up to my work laptop, my iPad and mobile phone within a minute or so, very easy to switch between devices and the keyboard feeds back with lighting to confirm you have successfully changed device (very useful in case you’re in the middle of a work e-mail then try to DM a friend!)
I went for the brown switches which are a little loud but I find the tactile response essential for typing. Pick up the red switches if you’re not keen on sound.
