This is a nifty little vacuum cleaner and perfect for the small home or flat. It does a good job of picking up and the battery lasts around 40 minutes so I can get a few cleans out of this in my flat. The magnetic holder is a nice addition to keep the cleaner upright however I would have liked to have a build in charger in the holder. It won’t lift the cleaner off the floor but simply keep in stood up. The vacuum cleaner is well presented and good quality. Its comb does an OK job of managing the hair so that it doesn’t get tangled around the brushes. Well worth the money and stands up well amongst its rivals.

The best things about the vacuum are its size, appearance, and attachments (so you can use it in the car cordless). The down side is that the charge doesn’t last that long so it wouldn’t do a large house in one go, but then again I think it’s designed for smaller homes which is fair enough. We have to vacuum half the house, put it on charge while we do other cleaning, then vacuum the rest. The dust cylinder is on the small side so you do have to empty it every time, but it’s easy to do and comes with a little brush to help clean it. The other day it started cutting out, but when we took it apart (all the bits click on and off which is good) we found it blocked where the foot meets the stem. Once cleared out, it works really well again. Yes, it could have slightly better suction, but we actually kinda love it. It comes with a magnetic holder which you stick to a wall to keep it upright as it wont stand up on its own. It’s slim and looks sleek and modern…..’if Apple did vacuum cleaners this would be it’, lol.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI love this hoover! Its lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. The battery life is pretty good for a cordless machine. I used it to clean out my car, using it on and off for over an hour before it died.

The bin capacity is quite small which suits me as my house is small and there is only 2 of us, but I imagine for larger households you might want to look for something bigger.

It has a powerful suction button which I use for the tiled flooring in our kitchen which is a bit uneven as it’s an old property! It struggles to pick up crumbs on the normal setting without it, so I found that function particularly useful. Absolutely fantastic for carpets and the sofa.

Overall, this feels like really good value for money.

I did have to sent back my first machine due to a manufacturing fault, but Amazon issued a replacement immediately which felt like top class customer service.

It’s handy, smooth job, powerful, enough battery to go from entrance to the second floor. I am very happy to have this cleaner anyway.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersRoidmi S1 – My last 2 vacuums have been Henry’s. They do a good job, they are very robust, but are heavy and the lead although long, gets caught on furniture and corners which is probably the reason most people end up buying a cordless vacuum! I am the sort of person who does a lot of research before buying anything especially when it comes to electrical items and gadgets.

I narrowed my choice down to the ROIDMI x20 and S1. Coming down to, for 100 more do I want slightly better suction, a better bin design (but the same 0.4l volume) and wireless charging. If the X20 had a larger bin, I probably would have chosen it over the S1, but it doesn’t so I am now the proud owner of a Roidmi S1!
I think the specs speak for themselves so it is probably easier to address the concerns I had and you may have.

Does it clean well? The short answer is yes. It seems to do a good job on both hard floors and short pile carpets that I have in my house. I have heard it is not so good on long pile rugs and carpets so this maybe a consideration depending on what floor coverings you have in your home.
It definitely does a better job at cleaning than my Henry Vacuum, it is agile and gets under sofas and into knooks and crannies far more efficiently. Does it mean, the S1 will completely replace my Henry? No, the Henry is much better at cleaning large mess such as small bits of dust and rubble when I have been DIYing or to clean up a big pile of sawdust in the garage. However for most normal household cleaning the S1 is king.

It only has two power settings? Surprisingly no, it actual has four. There are two push switches on the S1 an on and off switch and a power selector. The power selector alternates between boost and normal. However, if you download the ROIDMI vacuum app then you can change the power of the standard setting with three options 80 watts (probably too low for most, but does offer the longest cleaning time), 130 watts and 150 watts. This is all done via Bluetooth. Once the standard power has been selected you can switch between this and the boost function via the power selector on the vacuum. I have been using the 150 watt standard setting and have been able to clean the ground floor of my house but that is pretty much it. That is with a couple of minutes total of boost. That includes a large utility/ laundry room, living room, dining room, kitchen, hall and downstairs toilet. It then needs a charge, this takes 2 hours from flat. Upstairs I can clean the stairs, landing, 3 bedrooms, ensuite and family bathroom before a recharge again with boost. Although I haven’t tried yet I think on the slightly lower 130 watt setting I would probably be able to also clean my second landing shower room and last two bed rooms on one charge. Which to me is a very impressive runtime for a cordless vacuum.

It is probably also worth noting the app can connect whilst the vacuum is charging in standby. The app shows battery charge percentage, as well as time to full charge. Plus when to change the HEPA filter. You can also update the vacuums firmware, which is recommended.

Is the bin (0.4 litres) too small? In truth yes, but it’s not a deal breaker. If the floors aren’t too dirty, it can squeeze about one storeys worth of dirt in.
You may or may not have read that the bin becomes clogged at the top with larger items such as Cheerios. I can confirm this is the case and I believe this has been rectified in the X20. However it isn’t too bad a problem as you can just pull the HEPA filter out and with a pop up handle the rest of the filter assembly pulls out. It’s an extra step, but it’s easily done, allowing you to wipe over the filter unit and wash out the bin if required. So again not a deal breaker and takes seconds to do.

Do I need wireless charging? Wireless charging is included with the X20 via the magnetic wall mount, it is omitted for the S1. There is still a magnetic mount supplied but without wireless charging. You manually plug in a lead into the top. The cable handily clips into the side of the magnetic wall mount, so can be positioned to be easily plugged in when required. Wireless charging would be a nice feature to have but in reality it isn’t difficult to push a connector into the top of the S1, so I do not miss it.

Is the vacuum robust? It’s not a Henry vacuum, but that would probably be the only thing surviving, along with the cockroaches after a nuclear explosion!
It seems to be pretty tough though and appears to be more than capable of dealing with normal use.

Overall, the S1 is a powerful cordless vacuum, it is visually and technically well designed as well as being outstanding value compared to other cordless vacuums. I am very happy with my purchase, which has exceededy expectation.
    I hope this review helps!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI hadn’t heard of this brand before – I think it’s the small electrical arm of a Chinese manufacturer of mobile devices?

Anyway, I was a little skeptical given I had no idea what to expect, but I have to say was pleasantly surprised. It isn’t desperately cheap – though still costs less than a Dyson – so I suppose I should have been less skeptical.

It holds a charge well, looks surprisingly nice and, most importantly performs pretty well. The suction on this is really good and really puts my Dyson to shame. My only very minor beef is that it does require a lot more trips to the bin than a bigger cylinder might. That said, given the convenience and ease of use, you’ll probably find that you are using it frequently enough that your house just doesn’t get that bad.

    Great stuff, recommended.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersAll I can say is “wow”. I was looking for a new cordless vac with attachments and did my homework and took in all the reviews. Dyson, vax,Hoover, shark. It took me two weeks of looking and comparing reviews, and I must say I was impressed by most. Then I came across the “ROIDMI X20” The spec was brilliant, the power was like using a cable vac. 60 minutes running time on lower setting which is all you need as this vac is very powerful. I would say it is as good as Dyson v10 but 150 cheaper. Quality at its best.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEfficiently & stylishly packaged, each individual component is bagged or boxed within the main carton. A matte white finish covers each component and with a simple slide /click mechanism each part fits effortlessly to its relevant component. After 1hr, when fully charged from about the 30% it arrived with, a small 2x up 2x down was vacuumed top to bottom. With minimal carpet, but all floors, alcoves, cornices and dust traps cleaned the LED’s hadn’t changed state to indicate less charge remaining. With a powered head, crevice tool, flexible extension hose, upholstery tool, additional replacement filter and an easy to empty bagless cylinder there really is very little to fault or critique. The price is fair for the embedded technology ( Bluetooth connectivity, digital motor, lightweight, compact ) .. long term reliability and battery life after partial recharges / intermittent use remain to be seen.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe ROIDMI S1 Special Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Stick arrived very neatly packed in a cardboard box. All the tools and attachments are easily identifiable. The cleaner’s build quality is very good indeed; it is smooth in the hand, comfortably weighted without being heavy and slim enough to store without problems. The magnetic wall mount works well and is very convenient. I especially like that the tools are integral with the stick, so you have all the bits to hand as you whizz round the carpets and floors.

The battery life is everything the manufacturers say. I live in a fairly big house but as I vacuum round frequently I can nip up and down the stairs without the battery dying on me. The suction is very impressive. Long hairs which tangle most brushes horrifically are no problem at all for this cleaner. The collected hairs pull off easily instead of having a fight with the roller and a pair of scissors. I don’t mind the small dustbag. It is simple and quick to empty, just clicking on and off. I can truly say I’m very impressed with this cleaner and have found myself using it just for the pleasure it gives me. It is also very quiet and discreet so my neighbours don’t think that mad woman next door is playing with her vacuum cleaner again. Thoroughly recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is quite simply the best vacuum cleaner i’ve ever used – cordless or otherwise.

It’s super light weight and picks up muck really well. The main head of the device has a rotating brush that rotates without the user having to move the device. For extra tough grime this device has a BOOST function where it sucks even harder whilst active (this does use more power)

The cordless design makes for a super light weight vacuum cleaner that can be carried one handed up and down stairs by your average able bodied person. The light weight will be handy for persons who are not able bodied I imagine.

The dirt reservoir is very small though when compared to other cleaners, but this is what makes it so effective at sucking up dirt with more power. It is very easy to empty.

Charging comes via a magnetic charging bracket. Have this charger mounted on a wall and it just clicks in place with magnets to charge and is easy to remove when needed again.

I love this, it is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever had.

It is easy to use, lightweight, and has incredibly good cleaning power over a variety of floors. I love that it stays on its docking station and just lift off and go when I need to vacuum. It does remove a lot of dust which is great. The only downside is having to empty the collection chamber so often. The battery life is good to do several rooms but more often than not I have to stop and empty it after every room. Expensive but does an excellent job easily.

Good to see a company that listens to recommendations, they obviously listen. what the customers wants and needs have been taken on board with this vacuum, its a great little machine that has helped me no end.
I have wrist and back problems which make lugging around a regular vacuum a painful experience. This vacuum has helped so much in this regard, its very lightweight, although when using as a handheld it’s still quite weighty but that could be more due to my weak wrists, for instance just typing this review they ache so may in no way be the same for a person without my issues.
The vacuum arrived packaged in a cardboard box. I have been using it for well over a week now and am very happy with it.
You get a couple of extra parts, a second roller, and a brush head that can be broken down into a nozzle and also an extra filter and a little filter cleaning brush. there is also a pad that attaches to the wall to help with storing the vacuum, it’s magnetic and the vacuum rests against it when not in use, it has adhesive on the back but in my experience it is wise to use the supplied screws as my pad kept falling off the wall soley relying on adhesive.
The vacuum lasts at least longer than half an hour on low setting but am unsure of high setting times, i have a fairly large 2 bed flat and i have never ran out of charge on the vac as yet doing top to bottom everywhere. It picks up all sorts, in my experience dog fur (and dog dry food!) , dust, paint chips, sawdust to name a few. The drum is compact but is so easy to empty when it gets full, just open the lid and straight into the bin.
The vacuum is charged by the supplied power lead and plugs in at the top of the handle, takes around an hour maybe a bit more to charge fully.
Overall i am satisfied with the product but i think for the price a mattress head cleaner could have been included and possibly a stretch hose..
    Would recommend

    good

I haven’t used a cordless vacuum cleaner before I can’t make a comparison with other similar products.

The instructions are clear and it was easy to assemble, although the instructions refer to a velvet roller and hose, neither of which is included. This is a shame as the hose might have proved useful. The cleaner is light, quiet and glides smoothly across both carpet and hard floors. The dust collection cup is quite small but is adequate for my requirements and is easy to clean. It charges quite quickly and the lights indicating the amount of power remaining are useful. The cleaner has two powers the most powerful of which is good on hard floors but doesn’t pick up fluff well from carpets.

I don’t intend to use the cleaner for my main clean of the whole house but on smaller areas that require frequent cleaning. I use it on the bathroom and kitchen floors, the hallway and it is great for the car and stairs. I have also not yet used the mattress cleaner but will do so in future.

This is a good cleaner for my requirements but I would like a little more power.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWe already own a Dyson V6 and have recently bought the really excellent new Bosch Unlimited vacuums. I was asked to try out this new Roidmi cleaner and report on my findings.

In summary, you can buy this product with confidence. It works really well and is surely the most attractive cleaner currently available, looking and feeling like an “Apple” product in terms of design and quality. If your cleaner is going to be on show, then this will truly appeal to you. Hanging on its magnetic bracket on a wall, it looks extraordinarily attractive and special. In use, it is as effective at cleaning carpets and hard floors as either our Dyson or Bosch, and using “boost” it is as powerful as could be needed sucking up hairs, fluff and crumbs with ease. The battery lasts well and charges quickly. So far, I haven’t run out of power once. It is a quiet and comfortable cleaner to use, gliding smoothly over carpets, wood and tiles and simply doing its job very well. One reviewer has said it isn’t very “sucky”, well, my feeling is that no cordless model is truly “sucky” compared with a mains powered vacuum, but the design is such that all cordless models rely on the combination of motorised heads and suction — and this one equals our Dyson and Bosch in its effectiveness. It cleans very well.

Would it replace a full-size mains vacuum cleaner? It will depend on your personal circumstances and needs, but I find that the cordless models clean entirely well enough using their powered roller attachments (this one has a powered mini attachment, too, which is excellent for stairs), but when it comes to using, say, a nozzle for cleaning the car, a mains powered devices outstrips them all regarding raw suction power – Dyson, Bosch or Roidmi. We use an old Miele Pet cleaner for our car and nothing is better at suction and manoeuvrability than that. I wouldn’t myself clean my car with a cordless — but I see plenty of people doing so.

Overall, this Roidmi cleaner does an excellent job of cleaning carpets and hard floors, and it’s very comfortable and quiet in use. Does it stand out above the crowd? Yes — because it is quite simply stunningly attractive to look at.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have a Dyson cordless which costs less than this Roidmi. The Dyson is a better hoover overall.
    The Roidmi
    is heavier
    is unbalanced
does not suck as well – the usual going over and over to get it to pick up
is awkward to turn on/off – Dyson uses a trigger which turns off if you let it go.
has the boost button where you hold the hoover so it comes on accidentally which is annoying
emptying it is dirty and dusty – the dust does not tend to fall out as it sticks to parts inside.
Storage is via a magnet – since it rests on the floor. Dyson has a proper power and storage station.

The Roidmi is stylish but is not as functional as it could be. It is overpriced too. I suggest that buyers check out the competition first.

My sister used it and she liked it… Indeed preferred it to the Dyson cordless she has…

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThere is a lot to love about this. Most of the little niggles that annoyed me with my last cordless vacuum (a dyson) have been resolved.
It is very light and the large handle make holding in different positions for different cleaning functions very easy. It is very slim so can easily clean under low sofas/units.
There are power indicator lights on the front of the unit so you have an idea of how much power you have left. It sounds obvious but with my last cleaner i never knew when it would run out – there is nothing worse than being halfway through cleaning the car and the thing switches off.
The dust collection cup is removed for emptying – you pull the filters out and then tip out the contents, this may sound a bit of a faff but my previous cleaner just had a flap and this left a lot of dust stuck at the top that i had to dislodge with a table knife, so actually, this is easier, and you get it cleared every time.
Occasionally the flap on the dyson would open unbidden during normal use – scattering the dust over the floor. This cannot happen with this cleaner.
The electric rotor head has a nice wide opening and I have so far had no problems with blocking.
I have to admit I have not vacuumed any mattresses yet, but the small mattress head with the electric rotor is absolutely prefect for cleaning my car – I love it. It is just right for getting into all the corners, it really is great.
Charging is via a port on the top of the handle. There is a discreet magnetic disc that allow it to stand upright against the wall (if electric rotor is attached).
The only thing that I have found so far that the Dyson does better is clean right up to the wall – this has about 1.5 cm either side of the rotor.
There are two levels of suction – the higher levels is great for problem areas (in my house at the moment that is dog hair – she is moulting like crazy), but does use the battery up quicker.
    It looks pretty classy too.
I love this already – anything that makes the house work less annoying is well worth the investment.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExceptionally good quality product that is built like a tank. I can say if it was a car it would be Ferrari and if I compare it to gadget iPhone/iMac. Beautiful craftsmanship all round edges and plastic quality is something I haven’t seen that good for ages.

I never heard of this manufacturer or product before but now I have found that it is made in Germany.

It too 76 mins to fully charge with charger provided. I haven’t decided where to mount on the wall yet but my wife was eager to put it to test. It is surprisingly powerful due to cyclone technology and Hepa filters washable elements.

There are 2 suction levels and believe me it has surprised my wife as she vacuumed our living room in the morning with our good old trusted friend Henry and when she tested this Cordless vacuum cleaner it managed to pic up a tennis ball size fluff from the Rug. See through window can put your cleaning habits to shame as it was evident that the good old Henry was not doing enough.

Battery last at least 35 mins as we used it mostly on full power apart from Hard surface in Corridors and Kitchen. Description states battery life is up to 55 mins which I believe is true if you use it mostly on lower power levels.

Vacuum is very light weight due to plastic and Aluminium construction. It weighs 2.6 k.g in total. On stairs you don’t need extension tube you can use multiple cleaning Brush tool provided hence easy to carry up the stairs. Basically every cleaning scenario is covered by host of accessories supplied with this vacuum.

There is a Bluetooth feature on the vacuum, which works by downloading a free App from (in my case) Google Play store just search for Roidmi app. Once installed it will advise you when the filter needs replacing, Dust bin needs emptying and firmware updates.

I haven’t seen so many features in a vacuum cleaner before and like I said the quality is outstanding. I would definitely definitely recommend this product for your home if you want convenience of Wireless technology and a powerful vacuum cleaner that will last for a long time.

5 Stars from me and my wife.

A must buy if you want convenience and power in portable vacuum

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFive star vacuum cleaner.
This vacuum was packed amazingly well. Each individual piece was in it’s own little package, protected from any damage. Each part is really well made and feels high quality. All the parts snap together easily and come apart again when needed.
The little bin that collects the dust is so much better than any other stick vacuums I’ve had before, it comes off easily and the filter can be reached to clean at this point.
The light on the front of the large attachment is much more useful than I thought it would be.
The only slight negative would be that it feels a little top heavy for me although my husband felt it was ok. Having said that, it was extremely comfortable to push around and glided well on the carpet or the wood floor.

Extremely well made, works really well
