Dazzling kettle that performs brilliantly. Big enough to fill a hot water bottle. Sensible enough to boil just one cup if required.

    Design and function combine perfectly

Compared to my ten year old on it’s last legs stick blender this amazingly good! It will obliterate anything in seconds. The whisk attachment is really good for making fresh mayonnaise and does so really easily without the chance of splitting it. The Mini Blender is not the best as once you add anything thick such as a single fish fillet to make a whipped Thai fish cake it fails to move the ingredients around enough. Overall though a nice looking set that performs well.

I’ve owned many Russell Hobbs appliances before and found them to be excellent quality and very reliable so when I saw this 3 in 1 hand blender I jumped at the chance to order it.

Firstly I love that they have teamed up with Emma Bridgewater for the Polka Dot design which is so fun and bold and really does pack a punch.

The blender is excellent quality, powerful and does the job really well. It comes with a Detached Stainless Steel Blending Leg with Stainless Steel Blade; 700ml Capacity Beaker; 500ml Capacity Mini Chopper Attachment and Hand Whisk Attachment.
There are two speed settings; a slower speed for blending soups and a faster one for smoothies or shakes.

At 59.99 it’s very pricey for a hand blender however it does reflect the quality of the blender but most of all for the Emma Bridgewater design which you’re paying extra for.

Russell Hobbs blender with Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot design bring me so much joy. Its fun, bold, fresh and joyful. Finally kitchen appliance that doesnt look boring.
Regards the functionality, Russell Hobbs is my go to brand with products for kitchen and I always appreciate high quality and longevity of their products. With this blender is exactly the same. Highest quality, powerful blending and super easy to clean. There are few smart features that I like for example silicon removable base for chopper. It absorbs the vibrations and keep appliance in place so you dont need to hold it. Other clever thing is removable whisk so you can easily wash it in dishwasher.

Finally blender that doesnt look boring

Wonderful design, it looks like actual pottery in its style and I had this one but in black before and I do have to give a warning as the design is the same and the last one I killed without realising but when you use the mini chopper always make sure the blade is attached probably to the hole in the mini choppers lid if you do not do so and then start the blade you could end up like me were the hole in the mini choppers lid gets ripped apart ,like when you try to over do a screw with a electric screw driver but other than that everything works really well the hand blender blends everything very smooth so great when you don’t want anything that’s lumpy and for yummy smoothies, mini chopper is very quick at chopping and overall the machine is pretty quiet which is great as my daughter hates loud sounds.

    Comes with:
    mini chopper,
    Whisk attachment,
    Blender attachment,
    Plastic jug.

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful.

    Beautiful spot design.

I have been very impressed with this hand blender from Russell Hobbs so far. The build quality seems great and the polka dot design is nice, it actually looks nicer in real life than in the promotional photos.
The immersion blender blended my smoothies/protein powder shakes and the soup very quickly and efficiently to a lovely smooth finish – and it was able to do so much quicker than my previous blender. It is perhaps a tiny bit louder than my previous blender due to being powered at 500 Watts but not exceedingly loud at all.
I am really glad it comes with a whisk attachment which is super handy for whisking small amounts that my stand mixer would struggle to whip up.
The beaker is great for making smoothies in – it also has handy graduations for measuring liquids.
The mini chopper has a detachable non-slip base which is very useful.

Looks nice and works great too

My review here is for the electric hand blender, though I’m aware the current listing on Amazon is currently lumping together the kettle and toaster from the same range as this, altogether.
I absolutely love the blender. I had a simple plain one from about 10 years ago that I loved and used regularly but I dropped it a few months back and although it still works there is a chunk missing from the plastic guard around the blade.
This set is just as efficient and powerful and has some nice additions with the extra chopping attachment and obviously this set is so pretty and bright and colourful. It’s so easy to use and to wash up afterwards, I’m so glad to have replaced my old one and with such a bright and pretty replacement to boot!

I’m not sure why you would want your hand blender to match the Emma Bridgewater Polka Dots design since this is very unlikely to make it to the table along with your mug of tea, but the things you make with it probably will. Since you can get (amongst other items), plates, mugs, cutlery, oven gloves and a teapot in the design, if you are really into it, it would be dotty not to add a hand blender as well.

The design looks good on the blender and two of the attachments, all of which feel sturdily up to the job of chopping, blending and mixing. It comes with a two year guarantee, which can be extended to three years if you register within 28 days of purchase at the Russell Hobbs site – that’s well worth doing and should make things easier if you ever need to claim.

Although I only have a polka dot mug, I do like the design on the hand blender; it feels very cheery. The blender itself is well made and, if you like polka dots or Emma Bridgewater in general, it is worth considering.

Russel Hobbs hand blenders tend to be great, strong, sturdy and last a long time, I’ve owned 2 over a period of 15 years which is great value for money! This version is no exception and has a great fun look.

I honestly haven’t heard of Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot Design, had no idea Russel Hobbs had partnered with this brand and created this blender and other items kettles etc. Perhaps this is why the cost of this hand blender seems a bit high, the design is described as iconic so I presume you pay almost double for the same type of blender but in this dotty design. The colours are nice, I personally think polka dots shouldn’t cost this much but if you like the brand and want a well made and useful hand blender then this is a great buy. Versatile and well made.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLove the polka dots. Ended up buying the whole range. Two little things though, the kettle and toaster are a definite cream, but the biscuit barrel and the rest of the range are more of a white background. I found that disappointing considering it was more expensive than other kettles, and the rest of the range is also more expensive. The other slight problem is the noise the kettle makes when it’s boiled. It sounds flimsy so I hope it’s not going to stop working.

Originally got this for my daughter to take away to uni, but unfortunatly , due to rules, she couldnt take it. So we decided to try to fit it into the kitchen.

The design is fantastic, really stylish. Mirrored finish really looks amazing in a tidy kitchen. The spots on either side give it the unique look too. Problem is, we now want more spotty things in the ktichen!.

The toaster is clearly not just an orniment though, and it toasts perfectly. Multiple options, from frozen, different eats, etc. I was also impressed that compared to our previous toaster, the slots are alot wider. Meaning we have more options to fit bagels and the like without having to squeeze them in.

    Love this!

Fantastic - now have to rearrange the kitchen!

I really like the Emma Bridgewater polka dots design and so was delighted to be able to try this toaster featuring this cute and fun pattern. It toasts up to four slices – or crumpets – at once, does a good job, has easy functionality and really does look nice on the kitchen worktop. Ideally it sits best if you have space to be able to see at least one if not both of the sides when it is on display, as this is where the pattern is, otherwise if you can only see the front section with the controls on, you miss out on being able to see the lovely dotty pattern.

This toaster is easy to use and stylish for a modern kitchen. I have other Emma bridgewater design products so it fits in well in my kitchen. I like the design. It’s also great if you have a big family or guests as it has 4 slots so you can put in up to 4 pieces of bread at a time.

We often have bagels and these fit in easily into the slots when cut in half.

It has a tray beneath as most toasters do for easy removal of crumbs. The toaster is also easy to clean with a smooth exterior.

I found initially that the settings are a little higher than in previous toasters. So need to be careful on first roasting perhaps try a lower setting then dial it up accordingly!

his is a beautiful stylish kettle from the polkadot range by Emma Bridgewater in collaboration with Russel Hobbs. powerful 3000w and fast boiling and the ability to save energy by boiling small amounts of water quickly…… and quieter boil technology. large 1.7ltr capacity allows upto 8cups to be made from 1 single boil.

  71. JorjaEUMyrigc says:

I’ve been a fan of Emma Bridgewater designs for a while, and have a couple of her mugs.
As a result, I was more than happy to get my hands on this kettle, which not only has the classic polka dot design on it, but it is beautiful traditional shape, and pours very smoothly thanks to its well-shaped spout.
The kettle boils very quickly, taking about 40 seconds to boil a mug of water. It’s also noticeably quieter than my old Morphy Richards kettle.
The kettle can spin 360 on the base, holds 1.7 litres overall and has an ample length of mains lead allowing you to connect it to sockets easily from the kitchen surface.
Yes, it is expensive, but it’s beautiful, works very quickly, and if you love Emma Bridgewater you won’t regret it. It’s not a cheaply made product, and it has a two-year guarantee. I expect this to last for many years. I just need to get my hands on the matching toaster now!

First of all – it looks stunning in our kitchen. The Emma Bridgewater polka dot design on the kettle is so stylish.
It is well made, excellent quality and certainly up there as one of the best Russell Hobbs products. The lid is extremely well fitting and easy to lift off to fill up: not always the case with some kettles. A perfect spout makes pouring drip free and smooth. It boils quickly and quietly and there is an easy to read water level gauge.
    Highly recommended.

Got these free of charge to review love the spotty design and it’s size and features are good. I expected a white colour with solid dots but it’s more a cream colour and the dots are not solid. Still love how this looks and would be awesome to have the kettle to match . These are quiet pricey and I would not be able to budget for this but if opportunity arises I would love the full set as it’s a lovely colourful design. Noticed underneath there is grooves can feed wire in to prevent extra cable on show and few choices of where the cable can be positioned. Both toaster sections have removable crumb trays. The toaster is a decent width and crumpets fit easily, toast always seems to come out bit darker one side than the other and the depth could do with adjusting to prevent the incomplete distribution of heat to the bread. Overall all the features work quite well and it looks great, only negative is about the price and uneven toasting to the bread.

Great designer 4slice toaster with reheat and defrost options

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’m comparing this against our regular Bosch fliptop kettle which cost around 50. This Russell Hobbs / Emma Bridgewater collaboration certainly looks nice (if the cutesy style is what you’re going for!) and feels nice and robust in comparison. The majority of the unit is plastic with some metal around the spout, lid etc. The polka dots look like they’re hand painted which makes it stand out from a standard spotty kettle you could buy from the supermarket.

    Positives

    * As claimed, it’s definitely quieter when boiling – in fact, a couple of times I went off to do something else and hadn’t realised it had finished.
    * The water level indicator on the side is pretty standard these days but is a nice touch with this shape of kettle. It’s surprising how little you have to fill it to get to full!
    * The pour action is nice with no spillages or splashing, even when full. The filter seems to slow the water down a bit so you can be quite precise when pouring.
    * The base has a nice discreet wrap-around for the cable so it should look good on your worktop.

    Negatives

    * The top handle seems overly large for the rest of the unit and feels a bit too plasticky for me. It seems like they’ve added it on as an afterthought without looking at the rest of the design.
    * Removing the lid to fill the kettle each time proves to be a bit of pain. We have had fliptop kettles for a while now and you forget what a faff it is trying to lift off a boiling hot lid to fill the kettle up with water again. You *could* pour the water straight into the spout of course but I found that the filter on the spout meant that the water splashed back out as you were filling it.
    * The quiet boil is apparently linked to your level of limescale. The manual says that, as your kettle gets more scale, it will likely get louder. You can descale it of course but worth bearing in mind depending on the type of water in your area.

Overall, I don’t think I would justify 80 to change over from my Bosch fliptop kettle which works perfectly well. The noise level when it’s boiling is definitely quieter but I’ve never really found the volume of a kettle something I want to reduce. In fact, I think it’s a nice sound – it only lasts a minute or so and means a nice cup of tea is on the way! However, if you are a fan of Emma Bridgewater’s designs or you’re looking for something cute and fun as a new kettle, this is worth considering. As others have pointed out though, it is a lot cheaper to buy to the non-Bridgewater version if it’s the shape your after!

Resplendent in multi- colouted polka dots this 1.71 base coloured cream electric kettle adds a hint of femininity to my all Male houshold.

The Emma Bridgewater motif is in fact a whole range of kitchen items from buscuit tins to a toaster, ( the latter also in cahoots with Russell Hobbs). Get them all and you will have dots before your eyes!

With six toasting settings, plus wider slots allowing for thicker bread slices, muffins, teacakes, crumpets or bagels, means that just about all options are covered. It has defrost and ‘reheat’ functionality, and they claim that it can toast 48% quicker, and having tried it out, I can vouch for a quicker toasting time. It’s also relatively compact, and its soft, curvy lines would highlight any kitchen. Not much more to say other than it really is a smart piece of kit. At around the 80 price tag, it may be a little high-end cost wise for some would-be purchasers.

This is an excellent toaster which will toast 4 slices of bread, or crumpets at once, with two controls – each for two slices. We like quite thick bread so the wide toasting sections are perfect for us. The controls are very easy to use, and the bread comes out as brown as you wish through adjusting the simple controls.

The toaster is quite large and works best placed lengthwise against the wall to enable easy access to the controls on the front. If space in your kitchen is at a premium you may want to consider the two slice version- if not the 4 slice one is very convenient, for example by allowing toast to be done to different browning levels for different tastes at the same time

The polka dot design is unusual so will be matter of taste, but we like it – it is quite retro, and somehow modern at the same time

We own a previous model of this kettle, Russell Hobbs 21885. It is used frequently about 8 times a day, every day and it continues to work well. And so to this new model 21889, with the Emma Bridgewater styling. Firstly, it is extremely quiet when boiling, you only notice it when the water is actually boiling and making a noise. It boils quickly, 4 cup measurement in about a minute. I do like the design of this, as with the previous model it pours well, and the lid is secure and not flimsy. I love the spots and it does look great in the kitchen.

My only negative is the price, I’m guessing you are paying for the Emma Bridgewater name, this kettle is 79.99 where the legacy 21885 is priced at the moment on amazon at 39.00. The only difference I’ve noticed between the 2 kettles is the 21889 is more quiet and maybe slightly quicker on the boil. At the end of the day if you want something a bit different and stylish, then buy the Emma Bridgewater model.
