How I pored over choices of kettle! It didn’t seem that long since I bought one which purported to be quiet, and I liked the metal lining.but that’s not much use when it packs in ( lid broke off!! Yes, really!! )
I settled on the Russell Hobbs mainly because I read so many good reviews! It really is light ( obviously without any water in it) and yes, it does pour really cleanly. It has measures inside if you want to just boil a cupful, etc, and that really is speedy. Also, the outside measure is great, lighting up blue when kettle on. And it is very considerably quieter than the previous one- I had to turn that one off if I was listening to something interesting on the radio! I did read some comments about it “wobbling”..well, when it is reaching boiling point, there is a little rocking, but I don’t see what the issue would be with that?
All in all, I’ve got a kettle which seems, so far, to be just my cup of tea, ( hmm) and for an excellent 25, and what’s more, it looks lovely!
What I like:
*It has a nice simple design
* you can easily see how much water is inside, and it also has a level to know how much to put in for one/two/three cups
* it is fast to boil
* what I LOVE is that the lid opens by the touch of the button so you can fill in the kettle smoothly
* the handle is slimmer than other kettles I tried and it means it’s easier to hold
Negatives:
* you might consider it a bit plasticky*
*It took more boils than I anticipated to get rid of brand new taste but probably around 10 and its been grea
Works well; boils quietly and smoothly. There are 3 red plastic markers inside the kettle for 1-3 cups. These can be tricky to see clearly to get levels right when filling kettle. Overall a lovely well made kettle.
I gave it a 4 star only because I ordered black and they sent me grey and then I could not be bothered to send it back.
But the truth is that it is very fast and I love it is stainless steel coated inside as this is the most important thing for me.
I removed the plastic levels for 1, 2 or 3 cups of water as I don’t want plastic molecules to come in my water.
I general apart from the colour, I m very pleased.
well most folk will say a kettle is a kettle (i use to say it before i got this one) it boils quickly, and alot more quietly than our previous one, it pours nicely, no gushing out the spou
I wasn’t 100% sure I wanted this kettle until the first time I used it. Its brilliant! Love, love love the pour on it (I know I’m sad). When empty, it doesn’t sit flash on the base so it can’t boil dry. Its been in use for a month now. Nothing changed. Little button on top of the handle pops the lid open. Very good visibility of water level and yes, you can boil just one cup. Whenever I’m using someone else’s kettle they just feel rubbish
Great to have the 3 level indicators inside the jug to help with small amounts of water put in. Great for boiling enough for 1 mug. The see through indicator works well for larger quantities and a good guarantee if registered
Bought this kettle because it said did not splash when pouring and I must say this is the case. My kettles in the passed always splashed when pouring. Pleased with the look hence the reason for 5 stars
Thrilled to get rid of my old Bosch – very heavy , very loud, slow, and a really lousy pourer. This kettle is a super pourer, quiet,, quick, efficient and I’m thrilled with it. Also a bonus, it’s very stylish! Only 4 stars as the main body gets VERY hot. Paperwork just states “part of this item gets hot”…. (I though element, inside, etc but that’s an under statement, the whole body gets and remains very hot. As were sensible adults and have no concerns that’s fine by us – it’s great points far outweigh this one negative. We’re just delighted with this and it’s partner toaster!
This boiled loads faster than our old kettle. It’s pretty quiet too. Only downside is the plastic looks a little cheap. Cheap is fine though as our water is horrific and it’ll kill the kettle withing 18m – 2yrs anyway.
I have the toaster & kettle. I do like them visually. For some reason they are kind of hard to clean they seem to just attract dust or microfibres (this isn’t crazy noticeable probably just to me). But the kettles filter keeps falling out and it’s hard to get back in the right place so it’s building up with limescale. And for my personal taste, the toaster tends to make toast harder (even on the lower settings) and I like my toast on the floppy side. Again this is just my taste just thought I’d put that out there for those who are like me!
Works fine, only niggle for me is the water level viewing window which lights up to confirm the kettle is on is under the handle
Sounds insignificant but means you have to rotate the kettle to allow you to see the light to ensure it’s on. Trivial but niggles me 🙂
I like everything about this kettle,the colour is ideal,it’s a fast boil,which is important to me,for electric is not getting any cheaper,and it’s just a lovely design.
Bought as a kettle/toaster set as my old ones had it. Very nice and boils quickly also quite light when full which is good for me as I suffer from arthritis and other health problems.Just waiting on the microwave to come to complete the set.
Looks very smart with the toaster. Why I have given it 4 stars is it does boil a little longer than my last kettle and takes a bit to stop boiling and switch off. I still like it.

Due to economic uncertainty I got this kettle, it boils quick if i just fill it from a jug with a measured amount (600mlr) for 2 cups takes 1min 10 secs.

Great kettle, didn’t think I could actually love a it! My last Tower kettle was so noisy it woke the whole household. Plus the paint chipped easily and was a dreadful pourer. This one is pure bliss.

A brilliant kettle with a super price. It looks good and boils efficiently and quietly. However, it feels a little less sturdy than previous kettles from Russel Hobbs but no issues at all so far.
The spout pours exceedingly well for my coffee – no drips. Sturdy, and good value for money!
It’s a kettle, right? Why bother with a review? Well I think this one deserves comment as it looks fine, boils fine, pours brilliantly and is fairly light. Definitely recommended (unlike the glass one I smashed just before buying this).

Looks good and boils quite quickly, its pretty quiet & its light. What more can I say. Don’t know how reliable it is yet as i have only had it a couple of weeks but its Russel Hobbs so it should last a while.
I really like this kettle. Modern design, easy to use. The water heats up quickly, good display to see how much water you want to put in for efficiency. And it feels really comfortable in your hands when using to fill up and pours well in to cups, pots.
I still don’t understand how this kettle boils water in seconds. But it does what it says and that’s good enough for my needs
This kettle is a lot lighter than my previous one. The facetted design on the body is very aesthetically pleasing. The handle is well designed for an easy grip. And its basic function, to boil water, is done fast. Very pleased with my purchase.

Even with glasses I could not read the cup levels. There is an orange contraption inside which guides for filling one, two or three cups and is better for assessing my need. Overall saves money and looks attractive, boils quickly and quietly and easy to fill, lift and pour. Would buy again but I am having to mark the cup levels so only four stars. Not quite perfect considering the invisibility of the cup levels.

Very good price for an essential kitchen appliance. Bought as a second kettle , it was much cheaper than my kitchen kettle but it seems equally as efficient.
Great price, only one thing ,measure guide is on back near handle makes it difficult to measure amount of wate
