Good value and effective. I watched this against the morning light against the dust coming in from the roadworks outside and it made a significant improvement. Not the quietest could only just sleep with it working but it’s quite effective at all levels of intensity.

I’ve got two air purifiers and this one, Russell Hobbs is the smaller one.
It’s really compact compared to other similar air purifiers but I don’t know if that’s a feature, because when talking about this kind of devices, sizes are not that important, more important is that it is working properly.
I’ve got the black colour version of the device, however as I can see in grey it looks way way better.
The control panel is nice as well, with colours and stuff, looking nice and not annoying at all during the night.
It’s quite enough, not too much noise while working, however the 3rd speed won’t let sleep properly.
The timer feature is good as well as it can be left overnight to work or just for a period of the day, without having to come back and turn it off.
No smoke, no dust, even some smells could be removed!
I really like it, didin’t get the chance to test it against allergenic environment, hope that it’s working as good as it did for me on that as well.
Nearly 90 it’s still a decent price for it, compared to 200-250 for a bit bigger ones.

The small air purifier is ideal for a small to medium size room.
The noise level is low and you cannot really notice this very much.
The timer function allows you to set the time and sleep mode is amazing it switches off after a certain time , you can set this.
It helps remove odour and pet smells from the air and general particles and bacteria.
    Really good air filtering system.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen the product arrived, I was surprised how big it is as I did not expect it to be so “massive”.
As every other Russel Hobbs product, this one as well is of high quality make and can be simply felt it is durable and long lasting.
Clear instruction of how to operate it and in under 10 minutes it was already on and working.
It has touch operation buttons, and it comes with quite long power adaptor cable. Low level setting is tolerable when mentioning the noise, but high-level setting is already louder and cannot really work next to people having a conversation. Timer mode is good and works well.
As big as it is I can see it catches all dust and small particles inside the filter in the air and I must mention that it does not eliminate bad smell, so do not expect that from this device. I had incense burning and turned the purifier straight after to try if it would eliminate bad smell and unfortunately it did not.
Other than that I did not find any malfunctions of the device and If you’re looking for fresher air I would recommend this!

Super easy to use you don’t actually need to use the instructions as long as you take the filter out of its plastic bag before you use it and feature wise it has 3 settings high, medium and sleep and the higher you have it the noisier it is and the light only seems to work on high and medium modes and you can pick a colour or have it change colour consistently, now to the feel it feels a lot fresher will using it and a little cooler as it has fans so great if you get hot at night. Overall great quality and works well.

    Compact.

At the time of this review this air purifier is 76.49. I really didn’t know how much by body needed this until I’d had it set up in my bedroom for 2 weeks. So I’ve always had really good skin but recently I’ve been suffering from allergic type reactions on my face. Ive tried most things and nothing seemed to help. I set this up when i got it and didn’t think much more about it. It had been 2 weeks and my skin was starting to clear when i had given up on topic treatments so this is the only thing that I’d been using. It makes the air clearer and gets rid of allergens. At the minute its even better because of the pandemic so its good to know it gets rid of bacteria out the air but even without the pandemic it’s clearing the air so good I’m actually a little disappointed I didn’t think of this first before spending a fortune on skin treatments. Now it is much bigger / taller than i expected but once you find a decent place for it to go you can just forget about it. It has 3 power setting including one night time (which is much quieter!) also a 2/4/8hr timer and a light option. I have been using 4 hours when i go to bed on the night function.
I would 100% recommend this to anyone!!

A Russell Hobbs Compact Air Purifier with a Hepa filter for 99.5% of particles a 3 layer filtration for allergies, dust, smoke and pet odour . It has led changing lights and night mode which dims the leds and slows down the fan so you can sleep well knowing that the filter is working. The touch control gives easy access to different settings such as 2,4 or 8 hour timer as well so you can have it working while you are out or switching off while you are asleep. This is a well made unit with a strong fan and very compact it is nearly two and a half times smaller than my old one. It is working well and our grandson is having a better nights sleep as his blocked nose and coughing are easing so things can only get better with prolonged use.

I don’t have asthma or allergies but I am a very keen paper crafter and spend many hours in a small room guillotining and cutting paper and card creating paper dust which, although it cannot be seen, it is definitely there. My throat is usually dry and my voice husky when I have been in there for a while. The unit sits nicely into a corner of my craft room, I set the timer to come on 20 minutes on high prior to me entering the room and I could feel the difference, the cool fresh air from the unit made the room much more pleasant. I also noticed that although I use glue and solvents in the room the usual smell was absent, my throat and voice were also normal. Because of this I moved the unit to the kitchen where I had been cooking salmon and the smell was eliminated, I couldn’t find anything in the information to substantiate this but it worked for me.
The instructions are very easy to follow, the light is a nice touch, I found it a bit noisy on high but the medium setting was fine.

    Lightweight, easy to use

I’m not going to argue with the science – if this says it filters 99.5% of particles that trouble allergy sufferers like myself, then this is exactly what I need. At the moment however after using this for a couple of weeks, it’s difficult to see whether it has helped my allergic rhinitis. Perhaps it won’t solve all the problem pollen, dust, cat dander particles circulating, but if it even reduces it and plays a part in other anti-allergenic measures, I’m happy to continue using the Russell Hobbs air filter.

The good points about this are that it’s a capable size and easy to use. Insert the filter, plug it in, switch on and it’s working. You can adjust the three fan speeds and set three timing settings, and there’s a coloured nightlight feature that you can let rotate through or select one. All simple enough. Perhaps too simple? Essentially, it’s just a fan that passes the air through a filter first and blows out cool air that will air-condition the room. It’s also a good size, but still light and portable, which means that you can lift and move it from room to room to freshen air wherever you happen to be.

Simple but effective? The jury is still out for me. I’ve checked the filter and after a couple of weeks it still looks clean and new and no sign of it having picked up any troublesome dust or other particles. Which is good in a way because I haven’t yet found out where you can buy any new filters or how much they cost. Perhaps it’s still a new model and replacement filters aren’t available just yet.

Still, if it helps keep air free from the worst of troublesome particles – even just a little – this would be invaluable to me and I’ll certainly keep using it.

I have it situated in my bedroom at the moment. It really does help you breath easy, taking the dust and moisture out of the air. You can hardly hear it when in operation too, which is good should you want to keep it on during the night. It’s easy enough to move from room to room and doesn’t take up too much space. Russell Hobbs are a name you can trust, and they still are when they release quality products such as this.

Only time will tell as to whether this will be effective for my nephew as he suffers from asthma.

This is easy to put together and will go nicely in the room. It was bigger than expected but the fan is strong so purifies the air, you can feel a difference. It’s light weight too so easy to move around.

The night light is a nice touch, it’s quite bright and lights his room adequately. It’s good that it has a timer function too. It is expensive for what it is and don’t forget you will have to factor in purchasing new filters eventually as these are not reuseable.

For the price alone 4/5. Otherwise looks good and seems to work.

I have two other larger air purifiers and this, though less expensive has comparable features. The unit looks very modern and doesn’t take up much room. There is a 2, 4 or 8 hour timer plus 3 speeds.
You can feel the air around getting fresher. It is an excellent air purifier at a very decent price. It says to replace filter when needed and believe it would be beneficial to provide details on the same Amazon page as the uni

Somewhere along the way, I picked up a bit of a dust allergy, and this thing has been a genuine God-send.

Firstly, it looks sleek and fancypants – all shiny and black and lit up like a disco. It’s small enough to fit into the corner of the room when not in use (but when it is in use, you’ll need to keep it at least 30cm away from anything so it has time to do its thing.)

It has multiple settings that you can control from the top: you can select from 3 speeds (the top speed is the loudest, but it’s still completely fine – for example, running it while you’re asleep won’t be a bother), and you can set the timer so it will automatically switch off after 2, 4 or 8 hours. This is a brilliant feature if you want to run it for a limited amount of time.

And to the air cleaning: now, we don’t have any pets, so I can’t speak tot he pet dander, but if we run this in the bedroom for the day, when we go up in the evening, it *feels* cleaner, and am very aware of sneezing less. To be honest, I haven’t noticed less dust on surfaces, so we’re still removing that by hand, but it seems to swipe dust particles out of the air, which is just splendid!

It also claims to filter out bacteria and viruses – I know in the age of the ‘rona we’re all looking for ways to keep our houses free of it but as far as I know, this doesn’t filter out particles that small. It does say it will filter out 99.5% of air guck, though, so it probably filters out everything but!

This is such a brilliant thing – we’ve had air purifiers before, and this is really the best one. If you’re tempted, it’s so worth the punt.

This is an excellent product and works exactly as described. After having it on the lowest setting for a few days/nights. I couldn’t really tell if it was working or not. So turned it off and the difference was staggering when I came back after a few hours! It’s far too loud to have it on anything other than the lowest setting if you’re also in the room but low is quiet enough to sleep in the room. The top setting would be good for a quick cleanse. It is extremely easy to understand and pick up how to use the machine as the keys and functions were quite straightforward and self-explanatory.Must have for hay fever sufferers.

I have a few air purifiers this one has the smallest filter, its quite loud compared to its size I would have expected it to be quieter. it looks stylish and as an optional light which makes it look cool, the sittings are simple low, medium and high which makes it cleary and simple to use, everything seems intuitive and you can work it without needing instruction. I think a nice air purifier is worth the price.

This is a very smart looking product- it is very intuitive to use and super easy to get going… although be sure to remove the plastic bag from the filter before use – there is a sticker on the back which alerts you to this. Its really easy to access – a turn counter clockwise using a handle on the bottom.

Its pretty powerful – it blows out a surprising amount of air! I’d imagine this woukd be great in the summer… I offered to test this as we have dust allergies. I was hoping to use it at bed time but its far too noisy for me. Instead we’ve been using it a few hours before bedtime and the air does seem very clean and fresh. It smells the way it does when you’ve had the winsdows open all day which is brilliant for winter when it’s far too cold to do that. It does make a positive difference with regards to symptoms of dust allergy in our case.

The unit itself is very well made. It seems solid and sturdy and looks and feels very well made. The display and controls are clear. It wouldn’t lookout of place in an room and is effective in rooms up to 10 Square metres.

Im giving this 4 stars rather than 5 as it is a touch noisy and I can’t locate the replacement filters at the time of writing. I guess the cost of these is an important consideration in thinking about overall value. However, as it is, its a really well made product that works really well.

I was given this product to try with no promise of a favourable review.

I have been using this air purifier in the bedroom, usually setting it for 2 hours when I go to bed and it is quiet – you just have a low hum from the fan, and it has a good output of cooled air – will be even more useful in the summer. There is a ‘nightlight’ feature but this is not intrusive, just a colour changing circle of light which is enough to make it visible in a dark room without disturbing sleep. It is my first air purifier and I had not realised the size and bulk of it, but it makes sense that to filter air in a decent sized room that it would need to be a substantial piece of machinery. I did check the filter after using it a few times, and couldn’t see any visible contamination – the instructions do say that the filter can be brushed clean, making it last a bit longer. I have it positioned near a vent in the wall which connects to the house next door and lets just say that sometimes there are some ‘interesting’ smells that drift through – I haven’t noticed any of that since using this machine.

Russell Hobbs compact air purifier does a fantastic job, we are lucky that we live quiet rurally so our air quality is usually quite good, but we have new neighbours, and they like to smoke right underneath our back windows as it’s a very old house it comes through even when the windows are closed, so this has been a god send, as we can run it when we need it. That being said we have been running it lots as I didn’t realise how dusty our house was, tis has also helped with that and now I’ve tried it I wouldn’t be without.

This is a very nice compact air purifier, small and stylish in build, the build quality is very good as you would expect from Russell Hobbs with a clear and easy to use touch control panel on the top. IT has 3 fan speed settings and I did a quick test, with my phone mic a foot away from the fan the low setting its about 60db, medium is 70db and high is 80db which I have tried to show in the video. I find all are quite noisy but as it has a timer mode, I can put it on for a set period while I am not in the room.
A remote or app would be nice to control it with. The price is not bad and for a small purifier I think is good value for money.

It does what it supposed to. I like the modern sleek design, it’s not too ugly or bulky if you keep it in a bedroom fit example. I don’t know if I am noticing a difference just yet but I do like this product and use it every day

This is pleasant to use. It came in fairly good packaging – extra cardboard would have been preferable to the plastic bag and its lack of handles to help get it out – and there wasn’t *too* much excess waste. I requested it as someone with whom I live has asthma.

This is pretty easy to use and seems effective, though I’ve not looked into the cost of replacement filters. The settings are easy to understand and use and pricing seems reasonable. For those reasons, I tentatively give this 5 stars after some use. Filters/consumables are sometimes the downfall with products, so I try to avoid buying them directly from the manufacturer. I’m not saying that this will be the case here, but companies sometimes try to overprice a post-sales consumable, knowing that some will buy directly from them and overpay.

I’ve only used one air purifier prior to this, so take that into account.

    Handy

I was excited to try this air purifier as I’ve been struggling with allergies (dust mites and grass pollen). The air purifier is a good size, I was actually surprised by how compact it is and expected it to be a lot bigger. It’s a sleek and simple design and will fit in well with any room as it’s black and wouldn’t stand out.

The air purifier is sturdy and well made, you wouldn’t expect anything less from a brand like Russell Hobbs. It’s super easy to set up – before your first use you need to remove the air filter from its packaging. All you do is twist the bottom to get the filter out and take it out of its plastic and put it back in. Once this is done, you can plug it in and you’re good to go.

There are three different speed settings and a timer function (2hr, 4hr & 8hr). There’s a night mode which means it’s super quiet and does not disturb your sleep. There is a digital display and colour-changing LED lighting where you can choose the colour of your choice (blue, cyan, green, yellow, orange, red & purple).

The H13 HEPA filter captures 99.95% of particles so it’s perfect for people like me who suffer from a pollen and dust allergy. It filters smoke, pet dander, pollen and dust, as well as capturing bacteria and viruses as small as 0.3 microns, making it perfect for allergy and asthma sufferers.
You also get a year of free warranty if you register the product on the Russell Hobbs website.

I’ve been running this in my den for a few days now and I’m loving its performance.

The air feels so much purer, and, well, HEALTHY.

Put it on its lowest setting and it’s very quiet – so much so that I can read a book without a noisy distraction.

Made by Russell Hobbs – a name I feel I can always depend on for quality and value for money.

Apologies that this is a non-technical review, but I just wanted to share my enthusiasm for this unit in plain, unadorned language.

    A winner.

Unfortunately I developed a pet allergy not long after getting 2 cats, they are lovely and just work at relieving my allergy. I jumped at the chance to try this air purifier and even in only a few days I noticed the difference!
The machine covers a 10m square room so pretty good for most living rooms/bedrooms, sleek design with 3 settings and colour changing lights – that can be turned off. Handy 3 setting timer with 8 hours being the top setting.
I’ve never used an air purifier before so this is going to sound a bit silly but I honestly hadn’t considered that you need to keep them running 24/7 to have an impact on dust etc. I suppose its kind of obvious but just something I hadn’t considered. I’m not sure how much electricity it uses so I’m a bit worried about cost of running it all the time. I do clean quite a lot because of pet allergy so consider my home reasonable and these days I tend to have flare ups instead of constantly suffering.
So I decided to use the purifier only at night, on the low setting for 8 hour timer and I really have noticed the difference, instead of waking up with a stuffy nose I wake up feeling great. If I get too mush of a flare up I also bring it into the living room and within half an hour I start to feel a bit better.
Overall I am very happy with this little air purifier, only 40 cm high it fit well into any room. Noise wise it fine, low setting I would call it a hum, the other two its definitely more like a fan but that’s what you would expect.
My only niggle and it does seem a bit harsh to knock any stars off so I haven’t is theres no hand grip to move it, just would of been easier if there was a small slot at the back so you can grip it to pick up – not a problem just a preference.
