Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI didn’t really like a microwave with lots of different buttons/options to choose from, I wanted a simple easy to operate microwave and this one fitted the bill, plus it’s a flatbed, more easier to clean than the normal microwave
It seems a lot quicker than my old microwave

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersA great microwave without all the bells and whistles which I find unnecessary. The flatbed is much easier to clean and can fit larger containers than my old turntable appliance. The mirror finish door gives a modern smart appearance and the control panel is clearly marked with each function for ease of use. If I have one negative comment it’s that the interior is completely black for some reason, whereas my old appliance was white inside making it easy to see the contents.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our Users+ Very easy to use, with simplified controls (4 buttons). My partner has used it regularly for a week’s now and is extremely pleased with this product.
+ Cooks food evenly, and is very easy to wipe clean, with no turntable or mechanism in the way at the bottom.
+ I particularly like the way the microwave turns itself off to save power, and there is no glaring LED light when the microwave is not being used overnight.
+ Looks very stylish with a ‘mirrored look’ on the front.

One note: there is no clock, so if you rely on that in your kitchen, you might need to use another clock. Not a deal-breaker for me, but worth pointing out.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis microwave is so simple it’s brilliant. There’s really nothing to it, buttons to press, instruction book written in huge letters and a flatbed inside which means the food dishes can be rectangular and not get knocked off a turntable. It does microwave, defrost and that’s it. No complicated menus or fancy stuff I never used like I had on my old one. It even beeps to tell me if I have forgotten to take the food out. Whilst I’m not quite a senior… this is simplicity and perfect, plus the mirrored finish to the door means I can check how I look whilst cooking… Great choice!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThis microwave is so easy to use. 4 buttons. I’ve had previous microwaves with combi grills and lots of settings I never used. This microwave is perfect, defrost, microwave, start & stop. The flat bed is good as can get large plates in it. What more do you need?

Bought to replace a previous machine. Rarely catches us out. No programme modes left unused, but paid for. Makes us think for a few seconds rather than hunt for a pretty picture. If we get it wrong it is on us and not the factory.

what could be simpler, 4 Buttons, easy to understand and use, this is simple and effective, without all the complicated programs, its on or off, cooking or defrosting, so simple its great to use. its weird not seeing things go around as in a conventional microwave as there is no turntable, so no glass to clean or break! Easy clean, easy to use, this is a great microwave, a useful size for family (we are 4) we can put in rectangular dishes not just round bowls or plates, its a dream to use,, even teenagers get this! at 800W the power is good too.
hope it lasts a long time

Chose this after mass deliberations. Flatbed microwave is heaven sent as is the fact that it’s press button and go, non of this fancy does this, that and the other stuff that I never use. Very easy to use.

4 buttons only, one sets the time e.g 2 minutes 4 x 30 minute pushes, one defrosts, set time the same way. One is stop and the other one open! It’s spacious with a flat tray, no turntable. My 3 tier steamer fits in easily as does a dinner plate! We love it, even him indoors can use i

It takes serious research & courage to produce something that is this simple. Particularly in an age where there is pressure to produce all singing, all dancing goods.
Our last microwave did all sorts of things, varying power levels, option to put in how long you wanted it to microwave., but all we ever did with it, is pressed the 30 second button repeatedly. Even using defrost would require getting the manual out or amazingly remembering how to do it from last time.
I love the simplicity of this so much. I hope this is a new trend.
It works beautifully, it looks elegant. I am in love with it. Best microwave I ever had!
    Update
The display was faulty but when you love something this much it’s easy to forgive it’s faults huh?
Getting a replacement was so easy & stress free. I don’t even have to replace the faulty one till I have the replacement & it gets picked up by Evri.
Still super happy, just felt I ought to update with new facts is all

This microwave took a bit of getting used to as the timer goes up in 30 second increments. However, no turntable and so easy to clean makes this a plus for me. Easy to use with efficiency at a sensible price.

So easy to use. I have actually used all the buttons, yeah all 4 of them. I am actually blind and have added orange stickey dots to top and bottom. Enables me to feel fpr the other 2. I can see the red figures perhaps for me a little more tricky. No need to switch off at the wall. There is no clock. The read out auto shuts off after a while. Brilliant design.

I was sceptical about the idea of not having a turntable but pleasantly suprised about the eveness of cooking. Even my huge baked potatoes cooked better than my previous microwave. The ‘dash’ is very simple and avoids all of the settings that nobody every uses, my only criticism would be the time can only be increased in 30 second iterations which is not ideal for my porridge, which takes 2:20… Modern problems

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI recently purchased the Russell Hobbs RHEM2301B microwave and I couldn’t be happier with its performance.

First and foremost, the simplicity of this microwave is what sets it apart. With just two power settings for defrosting and cooking, it makes meal preparation a breeze. I no longer have to fumble through a complicated array of buttons; the straightforward interface makes it incredibly easy to use. Even my elderly father-in-law can confidently operate it without any assistance.

I love the absence of a turntable, not having to deal with a rotating plate not only saves time and effort but also provides ample space to accommodate larger dishes. Cleaning is very easy. Without the turntable, I can effortlessly wipe down the flatbed interior, ensuring a spotless microwave after every use.

The 23L capacity of the Russell Hobbs RHEM2301B is perfect for our family’s needs. Whether it’s reheating leftovers, defrosting frozen foods, or cooking a quick meal, this microwave handles it all with ease. It can accommodate large dishes, making it an ideal choice for families or even when entertaining guests.

The digital display is clear and user-friendly, allowing me to adjust cooking times and power levels with precision. The microwave’s 800w power output ensures that my meals are evenly cooked and ready in no time.

Moreover, I appreciate the sleek and modern design of the microwave and it doesn’t take up too much counter space, making it a practical addition to any kitchen setup.

I highly recommend this microwave to anyone in need of a reliable, user friendl, reasonably priced and easy to clean microwave.

This microwave oven is a pleasure to use because there is no turntable which means less cleaning and nothing spills because the plate inside is completely flat. Easy to clean is wonderful. I recommend it all the time it’s the best microwave I’ve ever had and I’ve had lots of them it doesn’t do everything, but then it doesn’t have to

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe bought this microwave for my mother, who has passed away, we ended up with her microwave. It is so easy to use, not having to worry about the turntable getting jammed or being engaged correctly, plus easy to keep clean, you can also put any shape of plate in them. Great idea.
Highly recommended, so easy to use you won’t regret it. Fabulous

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Microwave. Buy one they are so easy to use

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Users23l model in grey.
This is about as simple to operate 800watt microwave oven as is possible to get – just cooks on full power or 35% when defrosting. There are just 4 buttons that beep when pressed & a clear red numerical display that lights up when plugged in; the door is opened or any button is pressed.
You start by pressing the Microwave button that increments by 30″ up to 5mins then by 1min up to 1hr (if you overshoot the time, press theStop/Cancel button to start again). One press of the same button pauses cooking, a second press cancels. The end of cooking is announced with 5 beeps. The display turns off after a few minutes. The sequence of defrosting is the same. Recommended.
There is no turntable so large oblong dishes will fit that makes this oven very easy to clean, there is a yellowish light but the contents are not that easy to see. The bottom surface has a circle printed on it to make it easier to centre dishes or mugs etc.
Be careful cleaning the display & push-button panel – it’s covered in soft plastic!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is great looking product that works well and takes even our largest oblong dish as it doesn’t have a turntable.
Annoying legs too small so when open door it moves the machine so I will have to buy a mat.
There a no clock and only a few buttons with no preset programmes but then I never used them anyway. The eco mode when not using is to switch it off at the wall.
It’s so basic it’s a bit laughable but guess is far less to go wrong and none of us ever used the other stuff anyway except for say presets.
Today I did just a few actions, take food out, put on plate, switched power on at wall, opened door, put food in, closed door, pressed time twice for 1 min, pressed start, waited, it beeped, open door, took food out, closed door, turned off at wall. Enjoyed food.
This is as complex as it can get with this appliance. It’s a reliable make and I recommend unless you want and use lots of special features. Deodorising function was to leave door open for a moment. Machine site quite high up but I really like not having to worry about that annoying turntable as this doesn’t even have one

If you want a simple microwave then this is the one. Defrost or cook nothing complicated to work out. Due to there being no turntable I do need to stir halfway through.

Just what you want a microwave to be – simple – microwave and defrost – no complicated buttons. Lack of glass plate makes for easy cleaning.

If you want a microwave which, well -microwaves efficiently, this is ideal. It doesn’t sing or dance, it just does the job most of us want a microwave to do simply and well while looking classy and stylish. Flatbed style makes it very easy to clean and gives plenty of room inside.

Good sized cooker, the absence of a turntable means there is so much more room to use the whole Microwave, it is exceptionally easy to use especially for someone as ancient as I and very easy to clean, should have had one years ago

This microwave was lighter than I expected, which was good as it meant I could unpack and install it on my own. Not quite as ‘flatbed’ as I expected, it has what looks like an oven liner on the inside with a minimal”lip’ around the edge. This stops overflows of liquid from spilling out of the casing so that’s a plus and the interior is really easy to clean. The 4 operating buttons set covered with a plastic coating which, from past experience, I think may crack or split from having fingernail pressure applied so I’m trying to use my knuckles instead.
Overall very pleased, very easy to use and would buy again. Will also be recommending to family and friends. Thanks Russell Hobbs.

My son bought this as a Xmas gift for me, and I love it, it’s very easy to operate. And cleaning is very simple, also helps that it’s a flatbed microwave, no silly turntable to clean. Makes life easier and looks stunning in my kitchen, I get a lot of complements when ever anyone sees it.

This just has a cook, defrost and start/stop function as mentioned. It performs just the basic heating and defrosting tasks, nothing extra and it doesn’t have lots of additional features but is is perfect for what I need. The only thing I miss is a clock and timer function. I didn’t realise how much I relied on my old microwave for that. It heats food perfectly though so I’m happy with it.

Simple is brilliant. My first microwave gathered dust it’s complicated set up making it impossible to use.
I wanted easy to use not a 40 page book of instructions.
I didn’t particularly want a clunky revolving plate
I wanted just a god-damned microwave that was simple.
Russell Hobbs have excelled themselves – this is simply brilliant
    And it looks good
You really don’t need anything else

So easy to use. I just want to press a button and get on with it! If you’re like me and only use it to cook super noodles or warm up wheat filled teddy bears then this is the microwave for you! Only con is that the light stays on when the door is open after heating something steamy.

    Great Microwave
