Russell Hobbs RHFM2363B 23 L 800 W Black Digital Flatbed Solo Microwave with 5 Power Levels, 8 Auto Cook Menus, Easy Clean, Clock and Timer, Automatic Defrost
I’ve owned this microwave for 5 years now and can report that I’ve had no problems with it at all. It’s always been switched on at the wall and is still as good as the day I bought it. Take good care of this machine and you’ll get many years of use out of it.
It’s a microwave, does the job. Looks nice – always needs cleaning as it shows fingerprints super easy. Lots of settings. I did have an issue where the buttons on the front stopped working. Left it unplugged over night then worked again.
I am in the process of refurbishing my Kitchen and my own flat, so been looking at brand new Microwaves to make my flat more modern and look more expensive. I saw this microwave and thought what a great product. I didn’t think twice to buying it. I am glad I did. It came very quickly! Excellently and carefully packaged. Bigger than I thought, which is great! Very modern and expensive looking! Which I love! Very easy to use Highly recommend! A++++
Love this microwave cooker as it doesn’t have a turntable which makes it really easy to clean. Cooks really quickly and is easy to use. Have recommended it and would buy again.
Initially we had an enormous microwave that could take our square plates, so we ditched it for a compact (swan) microwave that was absolute garbage and could t even microwave rice evenly. Bought this and I’m really impressed. It’s not as big externally as you might think, yet because it doesn’t have a turntable the interior is very large. We can microwave our square plates now with no problem.
The other half threw away the instructions with the box so it was a bit faffy at first, but I quickly figured out you can just press start and keep pressing it to increase the cooking time in 30sec intervals which is way quicker than trying to set the power mode and the time separately. This is a great microwave and I can’t fault it at all
Great product, even cooking, decent size, not unduly noisy, maybe a little bigger than I expected but I’m not complaining. If I had a complaint it would be how easily it gets finger marked, but nothings perfect.
Likes – the flatbed is easy to use and easy to clean. It’s quite spacious for the price and fits in nicely with my other Russell Hobbs appliances. It’s also not too loud. You get used to the 5beeps.
Love the clock and the pre-set feature
Dislike – 800w plus no turntable does mean that you have to warm the food up a little longer (30secs – about 2 mins longer, depending on what it is) than you would with a 900w I would have gone for higher wattage if I could have found a RH one in the same colour and style. I just really wanted to have the same brand as my kettle and toaster.
I have gotten used to it though and if you stir the food a little halfway through cooking, it helps.
This micro wave is a flat bed no longer having to try to get old fashioned glass plate to rotate properly
It’s digital and easy to set up
And it looks grea
Bought this to replace an old turntable microwave, arrived really quickly but it’s packed up and waiting to be returned as its huge. If you don’t have a lot of counter space then this may not be right for you. I was impressed with everything about it but sadly its being returned because of the size. However Russell Hobbs do produce a compact version which has now arrived and looks fab in the kitche
Writing this review as I don’t know how to get help. We’ve had this microwave 3 months and it’s great apart from something isn’t quite right with the programming? It sometimes starts off again repeating the same programme it’s just done and also goes into defrost mode after finishing a programme and the only solution is to switch it off at the socket. Not sure how to get help here. Guarantee says to contact retailer in first 12 months? Thanks
Brilliant and many thanx to the person who answered My question could you see inside while cooking and the video they put on I can save certainly can don’t think you buy a better microwave
Have had umpteen microwaves but this outstrips them all by a mile…no clunking rotating base, easy to clean and operate, looks good, high capacity etc etc So glad I paid the extra for a good microwave this time.
Great microwave, the nicest looking one I had seen. No movement within the microwave which has meant food is more evenly cooked and makes cleaning so much easier. A really great addition to any kitche
Easy to clean without the turntable.
A quick wipe & it’s done.
Love the mirror door.
800W so heating anything is very quick.
Easy to use
Highly recommend
Smart appearance, mirror front classy but shows every finger print or drip. Lots of beeping (5 beeps when finished even if you open the door on the first beep). Also minimum time setting is five minutes through a sub menu or up from zero in increments of 30 seconds.
This is an excellent machine. The flatbed design makes it easy to clean and very adaptable for cooking. It is easy to clean and will accommodate oblong dishes that would never have fitted in a conventional machine.
I love the design of this microwave. I found it easy to set up and very easy to use.
I only use it to warm up food/ drinks. Also easy to clean, I just use a microfiber cloth.
I’m glad I brought it and not go by some of the negative reviews where some had written that it was difficult to keep clean because of the mirrored glass. It also gives your kitchen that but more of a classy look.
Over all I am over the moon with my microwave.
It’s a nice microwave, could be a little cheaper.
Without a turntable, cleaning is much easier, internal space seams more and don’t catch items on the turntable when removing or inserting (annoying if liquid based and causes drops).
Mainly used to heat liquid based foods (i.e. drinks, cook rice, pasta, etc.) and defrost. Seams to perform these tasks well and evely heats, although liquids are never sensitive to this.
Power is not the highest (800W), but still reasonably fast for low usage.
To use, it’s nice to have the +30s button, that makes it fast and easy to heat a drink for a minute etc, but for longer times, it can be a little tiresome to press 20 times for 10 minutes, etc. Maybe their is an easier way to do that, but i didn’t see it.
Clock function is nice and easy to set.

Love this microwave! Looks great, it’s big enough that you don’t have to worry about taller cups/containers not fitting in. I like that it doesn’t have the rotating plate – much easier to clean.
I was disappointed with the fact if I wanted to put something in the microwave, say for ten minutes I was having to repeatedly press the 30 seconds button and I couldn’t just put it on for ten seconds as there is no option , other than that brilliant .
It’s great!
Especially loved the late night heart attack I had when I was sneaking around looking for snacks and thought there was an intruder in my kitchen… Nope. Just one very big mirrored door on the new microwave
I tested the evenness of heating using three frankfurters (regular shapes with homogenous moist contents!).
After about 40 seconds on full power and 30 seconds rest I found them to be more evenly heated than in the equivalent oven with a turntable that this one replaced.
All microwaved food should be stirred where possible, and left to rest after it comes out of the oven. I suspect some other reviewers may have unrealistic expectations, but having owned quite a few ovens with turntables I am pretty sure this one heats more evenly than any of them. This may not be true of the corners – I have not tried any very large dishes in it yet.
I don’t understand the comments from some about the controls being difficult to use. Without looking at the manual I was able to set the clock and use the time and weight-based defrost functions, set the power level and the cooking time. There may be some functions I have missed, but for all the basics I find it extremely easy to use.
The enamelled inside makes it easy to clean. At first, I was a bit worried to see that the lightbulb can be changed only by authorised service personnel. But since the “bulb” is an LED it should last along time – probably as long at the whole oven I guess.

It’s shiny and looks nice. It attracts fingerprints, but you can check yourself out in it. It doesn’t have a rotating dish to break which makes it more reliable and easier to clean than a lesser microwave – You can lord it over your friends! “Oh your microwave has a plate that rotates? How quaint.” Cooking stuff is explained in the manual and if you don’t/can’t read it, you probably shouldn’t be playing around with microwaves. Heats a rice pouch/beans/cup-o-tea/mince/ready meal/micro-burger as per advertised. If I wanted gourmet cooking, I wouldn’t be using a microwave and neither should you. I bought it on finance because I’m poor, but if I was rich I’d hire a chef. If you need a microwave and can’t afford a chef, this is a solid option.
Love the microwave but had to change my rating because less than six months have gone by and the lights that display the times have broken. Such a shame because it worked well and looks stylish. So annoying now not being able to see how long the time has left etc
Bought this because it was the Which! best buy – it’s a lovely looking unit, and very easy to clean – the controls aren’t too bad although we tend to just use the 30 sec button numerous times as the timer is not obvious. It seems to cook quite evenly – the only thing I would note is that it doesn’t seem terribly powerful to me but once you know that, it’s not a problem. I’m not unhappy with it but I can’t see anything special about it that you could probably get for less money – unless it’s the look!
I really wanted a microwave without a plate, as I find them fiddly and annoying. This microwave is great, so easy to clean, plenty of space inside, very stylish in the kitchen, and easy to use! Very pleased!
As a designer, I spent a lot of time researching an elegant product, designed well but functional too and this microwave ticks every box. Many of the new microwaves on the market have opaque windows for the door which I wanted to avoid as I think it’s necessary to see the food / drink inside just in case. Great product, great value for money and comes highly recommended.
This was the best price online as at the time. Looks good, plenty of functions and love the cleaning convenience of having a flatbed and more even temperature.
Looks good but not the best microwave I’ve had. For some reason I’ve had 3 plates explode/crack inside it! Not on for that long either. Its okay, but I wouldn’t recommend
This is a brilliant microwave, bought it for my mum as I already have similar one and as she is getting on with age really struggled to use hers plus it was old. She loves it makes her milky coffees again and finds it so simple to keep clean without the glass turntable from older models
Looks Porsche but not a great microwave. Even on the highest setting takes long time to heat up and doesnot distribute the heat evenly so several times I have to microwave again to heat up properly.
This microwave looks great (and the glass front is actually easy enough to keep clean). Love that it doesn’t rotate and cooks quickly. The instructions seem a bit complex but we just hit the 30s QuickStart button repeatedly and that works well
Just redeveloped our kitchen/diner and this item looks good and fits in with our new kitchen. I like the fact that is has no noisy dirty turntable rattling around as you cook and this makes it very easy to clean.
Great brand, product and buyer. Stunning design, very spacious and is easy to clean as has no plate just flatbed. Always been a fan of this brand as I find it long lasting, worthwhile and never fails me.
This microwave is absolutely superb.
Good value for money I am using this more than a month and then writing this review.
Nice looking in the kitchen area, very good size and compatibility in use for small family. The clock looks nice in the dark.
The only bit which is difficult because the outside glass is mirrored so keep clean is a bit of challenge and can be cleaned with simple kitchen towel and looks OK.
Flatbed technology is very good you are away from conventional Glass rotating plates.
Love this. Looks very stylish in my new kitchen. Easy to use/understand controls and a quick wipe sorts out any marks left on the mirror finish. Wasn’t sure about the flatbed technology but seems to heat through evenly (so far)! Would recommend.
Brilliant product and very easy to use ‘straight out of the box’. Only complaint – It’s almost impossible to see through the black front door glass, so v.difficult to tell status of item being cooked. Amazingly easy to clean.
I just love this microwave! It looks amazing (so shiny!) and is really easy to clean, due to its flatbed design. It’s a really good size inside too. No number pad for setting cooking time, so it takes a while to set the timer for longer cooking times. But I can’t say this has really bothered me, I think it’s worth the extra few seconds to have a slimmer control panel at the side.
Very happy with this product. It looks good and is easy to use. It is quite large but a similar size to the one it replaced. I am liking the flatbed base and so far it has lived up to expectations. Very speedy delivery which was a bonus as I didn’t realise how often I used my microwave until it stopped working.
Cooks well and evenly. Easy to clean. A bit long winded setting cooking times but ok once you get used to it. I bought this microwave 2 yrs ago and without doubt it has been the best and most reliable microwave I’ve ever owned. Would definitely recommend and when it eventually goes to microwave heaven would consider another one like this (looks as though it will live forever though)
Great microwave, very stilish.I don’t always read all the specs and i was surprised that it didn’t had a rotating plate however you can fit any plate you want so hello future 🙂
After the dismal let down by Russel Hobbs, when I recently bought a carpet cleaner, had to return it and the replacement is also of poor standards, I gave Russel Hobbs the benefit of doubt. I was really hoping that the carpet cleaner was just a one off poorp quality product as Russel Hobbs have been reliable for me for a few decades. I am so happy that I did give them the benefit of doubt and I must have been correct in the carpet cleaner being a one off bad decision by them as I am very pleased with this Russel Hobbs microwave. This microwave is a replacement for my two year old Russel Hobbs as I wanted something a little more exciting than the other one. After removing this microwave from ther box, putting it on the worktop, plugging it in and switching on, I was very impressed with the looks. OK, so, looks may only be cosmetic and function is more important. That is what I usually believe so I tried it and was even more impressed. This microwave is nowhere near as noisy as my other Russel Hobbs, I couldn’t even hear it when I momentarilly left the kitchen. I heard the ping when the food was cooked but sadly that is where Russel Hobbs have changed something that was useful. My other microwave pings when the timer runs down but also reminds me with pings every minute after, until I open the door and remove the food. This microwave doesn’t use reminder pings so if one is distracted the food will go cold before it is remembered. I cannot reduce the score for this microwave because of the lack of reminder pings as creates low noise due to having no turntable and no plates rattling away. It is very impressive cosmetically and even more impressive when on and all the touch control light are activated. I highly recommend this product as once again Russel Hobbs have proven that they can produce top quality products at a reasonable price but they should stick to kettles, microwaves, toasters, irons etc. as that is what they do best and they should keep away from vaccuums and carpet washers as that is where I have lost faith in them. Buy this microwave and like myself, you will be impressed….

This would be a 5 star if it just had a keypad for setting the time. It has enough buttons to allow for power settings and even a timer to set it to cook later. Most of which will never be used. For a quick couple of minutes its no issue just hitting the 30sec button a few times. for longer cooks you either hit the 30sec button a lot or use the other buttons and still need to add time.
To be fair, if thats the biggest issue, its a solid 4 star. Love the fact it has no turntable, in turn its more compact. Cleans easy, yes it picks up fingerprints, so it needs a wipe now and then.
first one sent had no power, but box was all battered, so maybe dropped in transet, unsure but Amazon dispatched another the day after and this one works great thanks for a smooth swap after a faulty start 5 star service
Love it. Bought to replace an old Russell Hobbs rotating plate microwave which had become rusty inside. I like the flatbed model – easier to accommodate all shapes of dishes and I think it cooks more evenly. Very easy to operate and I like the sleek finish. It was an Amazon Warehouse Deals purchase and looks perfect – not a mark on it at all and all original packaging was present. Fast delivery, too
very good microwave heats food evenly and NO glass plate rotation so can fit large plates and other foods that you would not get to fit onto a round glass plate. has good features but are not user friendly as other makes. looks very good and is easy to clean,
only downside is the noise …it sounds like its broken, or about to break, don’t know if its just mine?…
worth the money, time will tell.
I love my new microwave – no turntable, easy to clean, can put all sorts of odd shaped plates in here. Very easy to use – didn’t even need to read instruction book – all very self explanatory. A couple of preset programs for thinks like reheat beverage or cook jacket potato. on top of all that – looks very futuristic with its mirrored effect door.
This is a pretty good microwave oven. The downside for me is not being able to choose times less than 30 seconds (in comparison to the one I had before). There is a timer but not linked to the cooking / heating time so for me it is a useless function. Compared to the other standard microwave (the one I had of cause) this one does not leave un-popped popcorn. This proves that although there is no turn table it cookes / heat food evenly. Therefore, 4-stars.
I was a little apprehensive at first about spending so much money on a microwave, but I wanted something stylish and this would work well with my square plates. I really wanted a 900W model for faster cooking, but actually this seems to cook just as fast despite being a lower wattage, I guess due to the clever way it dissipates the microwaves. It looks fantastic and is easy to use. Definitely worth reading the manual though. Only design flaw is that it’s easy to press the “clock” button and start messing things up – would be better if you had to hold it down for a couple of seconds. Otherwise can’t fault it.
Love this microwave. No turntable so very easy to clean. Did notice that on first use it only heated top of food, but after that all OK. Suggest heating a cup of liquid on first use. Lots of space due to no turntable. Would not go back to a microwave with a turntable now!
Bought this flatbed microwave to replace a poor quality Panasonic. It’s wonderful, does the job perfectly, as well as looking very stylish. It has made porridge, reheated dinners and produced some very yummy baked potatoes. Would highly recommend
been using this for over a month now. Brilliant. Looks very smart and so far no greasy fingerprints on glass as you use the handle and never touch the glass. I was sceptical if a non-turntable microwave would work…..well it seems to, I always stir a couple of times during long cooking, but have had no disasters at all…. doesn’t seem to have hot spots. The best thing about it is the quick one touch 30second cook button, each time you press it adds another 30sec…. very quick and easy. If you want a lower power setting it’s a bit more of a faff: you have to press the power button at the top repeatedly to scroll down thro the available power ratings, then at the bottom press the select, then in the middle press the + button until your desired time is shown before finally the start button at the bottom again – I have had easier microwaves to set, but like I say the 30 second one touch button is used most of the time. Another really useful feature is the microwave can be used as a simple timer which I have found really handy – (only down side is when the timer is up it gives a few short bleeps and that’s it, so if you are not tuned into listening for it you can miss it!)
In summary I would highly recommend this, and it’s good value for money.

Like this very much as there are no moving parts and it nukes everything in situ very efficiently. The mirrored door is a pain to keep clean but a few wipes with the house cleaner and it’s as good as new.
Excellent flatbed microwave oven. I’ve used this oven for just over one week and found the digital controls easy to use. The only confusing bit is the timer – this is just a kitchen timer it has nothing to do with timing a program!!!!
The mirrored door is easy to clean with a microfibre cloth (there is no need to touch the mirrored finish as the large handle is more than adequate. The cavity is also very easy to keep clean.
This is a very good microwave. I had read mixed reviews on the idea of microwaves without a turntable, but we have had no problems with uneven heating. The oven is easy to clean, and works effectively. It feels as though it will last.
This microwave is everything I expected and more! The lack of turntable makes it so much easier to keep clean, and therefore a lot more hygienic. A bit strange at first as it doesn’t turn round, but cooks everything to perfection! A fantastic addition to my kitchen, would recommend
This is the best microwave I have had, very roomy…no turntable plate. Easy to clean,.great performance. Was funny NOT seeing food rotate at first, but soon got used to that….highly reccomended x

A lot bigger than old one but works better as well
Love this microwave cooker as it doesn’t have a turntable which makes it really easy to clean. Cooks really quickly and is easy to use. Have recommended it and would buy again.
Easy one press start button. Other instructions not so clear about how to use
flatbed means easier to clean and more sizes of dishes can be used

Love this microwave! Flatbed means easy to clean! It’s easy to use! Only pain is the mirrored front LOVES finger prints! But they clean up easily too.
Generally good appliance and would recommend.

Fantastic product, defrosting by weight is accurate, re-heating perfect, almost silent during cooking.. everything described is 100% true

Pleasantly surprised by this microwave oven.
I am loving the use do far and particularly pleased there is no glass and turning ring.

Easy to use and much better than the turntable one. Good size
Great microwave, love the flatbed and not having to clean a glass plate, very easy to clean, looks very sma
It’s easy to clean ,and very good value for money .we bought 2 one has a present for our son +daughter in law
Have had umpteen microwaves but this outstrips them all by a mile…no clunking rotating base, easy to clean and operate, looks good, high capacity etc etc So glad I paid the extra for a good microwave this time.

Overall not bad.
So easy to use and clean great space in side looks good as well
Super microwave and gets rid of the water that accumulates at bottom of ordinary rotating plate ones so easy to clean!!
Love this microwave, easy to use and clean. Lovely mirror front.

It’s easy to operate and great to cook as you don’t need to make sure the food is on the rotating plate as it dosnt have one
I was disappointed with the fact if I wanted to put something in the microwave, say for ten minutes I was having to repeatedly press the 30 seconds button and I couldn’t just put it on for ten seconds as there is no option , other than that brilliant .
Really pleased with this product so far can put all my different shaped dishes in its quick and efficie
I have no minus points to this microwave. It is easy to use and very efficient. I would buy again.
Very smart looking just the right size for heating up meals
Quiet and so easy to clean the husband and kids can do it. They don’t, but could!
Love this machine. The flat bed is great, you can fit large dishes inside unlike the common ones that have a rotating plate.
It’s great!
Especially loved the late night heart attack I had when I was sneaking around looking for snacks and thought there was an intruder in my kitchen… Nope. Just one very big mirrored door on the new microwave
Excellent buy and looks ever so.smart in my high gloss black kitchen.
efficient, easy to use and easy to clean what more could you ask fo

The flat bed is so easy to use superior to the turntable ones where the base often slips.user fri3ndly
Excellent product. Looks great, does a brilliant job. Well pleased with our purchase.
Looks good on the work surface and works amazingly. Not much else to say
Love this microwave,so easy to use,it’s so much easier without a turntable.
This microwave works a treat.
Heating food rapidly and piping hot.
Cleaning is a doddle without a turn table.
Very easy to operate.
Sturdy and easy to clean, by far the best microwave I’ve ever bough
Very stylish and easy to use, easy to clean, no turntable which is a bonus, would definitely recommend.
Perfect upgrade from old style turntable. I love how easy it is to clean. Easy to use. Great value for money.
Easy to clean, needs some getting used to with no revolving plate, but good overall performance
This was the best price online as at the time. Looks good, plenty of functions and love the cleaning convenience of having a flatbed and more even temperature.
1st flatbed, so easy to clean, looks good and its loved.
I’ve had a flatbed microwave before, plenty of room for large casserole dish, no turntable to deal with sticking. Would definitely recommend.
Just Brill! Why do we even bother with turntable microwaves! This cooks so well. And its just sooo easy to clean. Love it.
Looks Porsche but not a great microwave. Even on the highest setting takes long time to heat up and doesnot distribute the heat evenly so several times I have to microwave again to heat up properly.
Excellent product easy to use and clean – looks smart in the kitchen.
I love using this product. It needs up fast. I have always wanted a flatbed microwave. Enjoy using i
I just love this microwave!

Love the way the 20/30 year olds are confused by flat bed
Fast delivery, too
Good Stylish Microwave, only owned for a short period of time but would highly recommended.
Very spacious and can fit many large dishes
Bought to replace a 10 year old Zanussi, and it is easy to understand why this microwave won the Which? magazine award.
Fast thorough and evenly heated food. The fact that it doesn’t have a turntable means you can fit in larger dishes and is so easy to clean also
very good microwave heats food evenly and NO glass plate rotation so can fit large plates and other foods that you would not get to fit onto a round glass plate. has good features but are not user friendly as other makes. looks very good and is easy to clean,
only downside is the noise …it sounds like its broken, or about to break, don’t know if its just mine?…
worth the money, time will tell.
