Nice looking cooker hood, but it’s rather noisy.
The extractor can be vented to outside or re-circulated by moving a lever over inside the unit.
We changed it so as to re-circulate and purchased a carbon filter that fits on to the motor. You will need to find the 160mm filters and not the 173mm. This model RHVSRCH602SS-M is not listed but the filters fit. They can be slightly fiddly to fit.

**Please note these filters will only fit the listed models with a motors & filter outer diameter of 160mm (where the filter fits). If your motor / Filter has a 173mm diameter instead, then these filters wil not fit. Please carefully check before purchase**
We also use a normal paper grease filter although the unit comes with a washable stainless steel grease filter. No other filters come with this unit and must be purchased separately.

Love this, it arrived dented but was replaced really quickly and easily, looks great and works well.
Just as expected to replace my old one. Very fast delivery, in fact it arrived before I received the email to say it has been dispatched. So far so good.
Easy to fit, people have said it’s noisy, but it’s a lot quieter than our last one!
Very pleased with extractor – looks smart and neat. Three speed extractor but speed 1 will be adequate as very powerful (good fault).
This was a perfect replacement for my old cooker hood, fits in exactly the same place, does the job for the cheap price I paid.. delivered earlier than expected.. overall I am very pleased with my purchase
easy to install, all the holes and mounts are in the standard place. Carbon filter was easy to buy. Phoned Russell Hobbs and bought it straight from them?. I am sure the generic filters would fit, but I didn’t want to risk it!
he only thing against this hood is that the back two fixing holes are NOT easily accessed to fix a screw through with even the thinnest cordless . Otherwise I’m happy with it although I did think it was a rear and top outside extraction as it showed in the pic. I just used the internal extraction and bought filters for it.
save the vent ring from your old hood as the diameter ring on this is large
The cooker hood looks very attractive and works well. It was a bit disappointing that the filter was not included in the details – at an extra cost of course but it had to be accessed separately. The only fault with the extractor is that it is so very noisy – hence the 4 star rating.
Great extractor looks nice, as advertised and on time. which is more than can be said about the amazon recommended carbon filter which is not for this, do NOT accept amazon recommendations they are usually rubbish.
Like this hood very much, it is very smart, has 2 led bulbs to save energy. I chose black to compliment my black hob. I like the neat control buttons , much better than the slider on my old hood. Because the air is ducted to outside I don’t have to use any other filters. My son fitted this for me and the fittings were pretty much the same as the old one so it only took minimal jiggling to fit perfectly I was concerned that some people reported that this hood was noisy but I can honestly say I didn’t find it so. I doubt if a silent fan has yet been invented so some noise is to be expected but even on the fastest speed it is still quieter than my old hood. Easier to clean too. Well pleased.!

Have been looking for a cooker hood for ages fit the space we have exactly, we needed someone to fit it but that was do with the way the original was fitted definitely would recommend.
