I have been interested in a multiple for a while and picked this up while it was on offer.
Since the I have used it to cut metal, would and done some sanding and I have been very impressed, being able to adjust the head has been handy more than once in making to work I was doing easier.
Should have had one of these earlier, sanding, cutting and grouting all in one.
Useful tool to make those awkward tasks a little easier.
Tool headroom does restrict when accessing some tight areas. Overall I’m pleased with this.
Disclaimer: I’m a huge fan of Ryobi One+. Not sponsored though.
I’ve never seen the point of multi tools, until now. This thing is incredible, I have no idea how I would have coped with my (medium-sized) DIY project without it.
First of all, it’s so easy to undercut doorframes and skirting boards for laminate or (in my case) engineered wood flooring. Nearly bought an angled hand saw, and I’m SO glad i didn’t. This takes seconds, just make sure to get your levels right.
But it’s also great at trimming slightly miscut wood. Today, I angled it vertically and trimmed straight down through the (already fitted) engineered wood to fit a threshold bar I didn’t realise I needed. No idea how I could have done that otherwise without taking the floor back up.
With a diamond blade on it, it’ll also drag out old grout. I even used it to chase a socket and (short!) drop line through plaster and brick. That was probably pushing my luck, but it worked (just!). TBF, for longer drops you want a mini-circular or an SDS, but they can’t get right into the corners.
Buy one (even if not this one), it’s as useful as a drill. Perhaps even more so.
Already had Ryobi 5ah battery, worked a treat, cutting laminate floor and extending a single socket in a wall to double, lots more sockets to do.
