Very handy to use and good interchange of heads. Needs a battery above the basic one.
Don’t get conned by Ryobi RAK10MT 10 Piece Multi Tool sanding paper set as it doesn’t fit.
I have an old multitool with the cord. It was difficult to exchange blades and it vibrates so hard. I did not like to use it unless I really need to. Then I watched one of the YouTube movie, reviewing this Ryobi multitool. The multi angle head seems so useful and the mechanism to change the blades looked so efficient. I have Ryobi impact driver with the battery, so I can use the battery I have. So I pull the trigger. It was one of the best shopping I have done in the past few years! It is light, sturdy and useful. Multi angle head is so useful. Changing blades is so easy and secure. It is much quieter than my old one and vibration is day and night. Switch holding and speed dial makes it so easy to work. This is perhaps the best multitool for home DIY. I can highly recommend it to anyone!
Good and strong multi tool. Ive used it for all sorts of little jobs. Removing grout, cutting wood and metal.
Glad i bought it and its a good price
Used only for one job so far. Used the semicircular blade and the straight blade. Inside of a kitchen cupboard needed some modification under a gas boiler, for access.
I tried everything in my arsenal but the space was too tight, or the cutting tool could cut right through the depth.
Time for a multi-tool!
Works very well. Especially on the straight blade.
Not sold on the longevity of the blades, but replacements are reasonable enough.
easy to use and you can use a multitude of easy accessible tool attachments, wish I had bought this earlie
This is the dogs and works fantastic. Being battery powered it makes it more versatile and has a thousand and one uses
Great bit of kit. It works with standard Ryobi battery packs. It’s that good I’ve ran out of things to cut.
Very versatile tool, used to get into tight spaces where there is no room for any other cutting tool.
I’ve been using this all over the place.
Not my first Ryobi power tool and definitely won’t be my last build quality is excellent and it’s very powerful and super easy to change blades very happy.
An excellent addition to my power tools.
It has already made a tricky job much easie
Excellent multi tool . Didn’t expect anything less from Ryobi. This range of cordless tools are great. I have used Bosch, Milwaukee, DeWalt which are fine but this feel right, adjustable operating angle and speed aid working and the unit is easy to control.
Bought this for various jobs around the home and garden. Also bought the accessory pack. Sent that back as most of the extras ae included with the main tool! Works well and has done everything asked of it so far. Only problem is that the depth gauge wasn’t included and I can’t find anyone (including Ryobi or C J Sinclair) to assist. Amazon – over to you!
The adjustable head is really good
You can use a serrated blade to make very fine cuts and if you get the angle right you can use it as a sander.
The star lock is really good compared to the old method of retaining accessories.
A good buy for me and have used it a lot more than I thought I would
I do a LOT of DIY and now realise I should have bought one of these years ago when they first became available. I used this to remove grout from in between tiles and where there had previously been overspill on the tiles that I hadn’t wiped away properly in the corners and had hardened (removal didn’t hurt the tiles but they are hard so care here depending upon your tiles). I had already tried a hand grout removal tool, machine sandpaper, knife blade, chisel etc. you name it I tried it and gave up – too much like hard work. I bought this with 4X TopsTools FAKC4 grouting blades separately. Job done in an afternoon, need I say more. Worth it just for that in my opinion but there are hundreds of uses. Suggest you buy the RYOBI with the tilting head (more expensive) which made life very easy in the corner of the shower. I don’t normally write reviews but I’m a RYOBI convert as in my opinion it’s as good as Dewalt but much cheaper and hey, the same battery can be used on over 150 tools! 🙂
Bought a bundle of assorted blades from another seller to compliment this tool and it has performed extremely well. I didn’t know I needed a tool like this until several occasions when I did and I’m glad I did have it. Worth buying and having in your tool box for that time when nothing else will do or when the job is too awkward and difficult. Buy it, or one similar!
Easy to use, I especially like the ease of blade replacement that doesn’t require any tools.
Adjustable head Mals this a lot for user friendly than the non adjustable model.
Bought this as an early birthday present and they were delighted
The product is very good value for money and easy to use.
Have been pleased with all the ryobi tools.
Bought this to remove the grout from some flooring tiles. Perfect tool for the job. The attachments didn’t bite into the grout and start dragging the tool along. Also the variable motor speed was very handy for setting a comfortable cutting rate.
I was so glad I went for the version with the adjustable head angle as I could re-position the tool easily when cutting underneath cabinets
Really good quality, only one thing what I don’t like it’s speed charging place, not great location on tool
Been looking at these a while, great versatile tool with variable speed and multi angle head.
But this does seem to be a loose area of the tool which may be a future fail poi
I don’t know how I lived without one of these, gradually I am building up the ryobi tool range as the products are very good.
This little tool gets around so many problem jobs and cuts fast and clean.
Bought this for my husband at Christmas as he said it’s a good tool to have , good value for money will see how he gets on with it in garden doing his building work in the summer time will then write a more detailed review.
Although attaching blade was a little confusing, despite instructions, managed and it cut through the wood with little problem, having the ability to change head angle helped.
This is the second of this type, this to replace my old worn out machine purchased in 2016, which speaks for itself in regards to reliability.
Being an updated model, hope it gives me the same versatile ability & further years of usage.
Brilliant bit of kit
As soon as you get it, go onto Ryobi site and Register your new tool. It has now a 3 YEAR WARRANTY so Amazon may only have a 30 day return window you still have a 3 year warranty with Ryobi.
Only fault is easy to trap your finger in the blade closing mechanism when changing blades, maybe just me.
Easy to hold and use. Blades and attachment simple to change. Variable speed a great asset.
I got this multi tool for work I’ve only used it three or four times so far, it’s good especially the pivoting head when you need to get into awkward areas. All in all a good but of kit to have in your tool box.
Never heard of these then I had to cut some tiles out in the bathroom. What an easy to use tool. I’ve now used it to sand down a garden swing, and a table and to cut a bolt.
Never knew what I had been missing until I got one. Very useful tool to cut those places that normal tools don’t get to.
This is a great addition to my son’s plumbing tools, it’s save himself so much time when cutting into floorboards, ceilings and walls. The changeable angle means it can get into any awkward tight spot. In addition, he has lots of Ryobi tools and one battery fits all. Great piece of kit.
This is the first multi tool i have owned or used , i didn’t think it would be that useful but how did i manage without one, used most days for the last couple of weeks.
Recommended to all
I love ryobi one +18 , really easy to use and very practical
It is just what I wanted for my +one growing range
Have most of the one+ series… hardly tool well made… I like the rotating head
If you’re going to buy one new power tool, purchase a multi tool and the Ryobi R18MT is an excellent quality version. I recommend purchasing an additional pack of various types of blades as once you start using it you’ll wonder why you didn’t buy one before!
Note: this is a bare tool and you do need a compatible Ryobi One battery
Great value, great quality, great performance!
Works well ideal for trimming door frames to suit laminate flooring, battery lasts a long time
Love the tool great feature on it is the heads that can click into different positions
This is a great tool ideal for all jobs especially cutting through plasterboard!
So far its done everything asked of it, and has done it well. When using the tool for sanding, it has performed well beyond expectations and was probably used for more of the task than my palm sande
This new model with adjustable head is much better design and is really powerful.
Great tool a must have better then the mk1 very multi functional
This is simply an outstanding tool. It has been fun to use, to great results, and was great value for money. While it is not the best in category, it certainly punches above its price-point. Couldn’t be happier with it! I’ve now bought two Ryobi tools, and I’m very impressed with them both. Battery is interchangeable too, so just need one battery for two tools, therefore keeping environmental impact and price down.
Great product. I’ve a few ryobi one plus now. Bought this to shave the end of a work top and a few other jobs. Worked a treat. The sanding bit that comes with it is crap though. Melted!!
Nice tool and the adjustable head works really well for getting into difficult areas, very pleased I have this over one that has a fixed head position. The different accessories are easy to change too and it’s not too heavy, would be nice if it came with a power pack which you have to buy separately but these are easy to find.
I just needed this for a specific sanding job but have used it lots. The cutting tools supplied also work well for the right purpose. It’s great quality, sturdy and well built. Love using it.
Great Product, Fast Delivery Ryobi ONE+ R18MT-0 18V Cordless Multi tool.
he swivel head is a little loose at times
the number of uses are epic
Great for digging out old grout also the sanding attachment is grea
I’ve no experience of other makes so can’t offer any comparison comment, but this tool works perfectly for me as a DIYer. Relatively light so easy to hold and guide with accuracy through plasterboard, wood of up to 30 mm thick and plastic. No regrets.
Does everything I can ask of it, only complaint was the price, it’s a lot of money to spend on a tool for a DIYe
The ease of changing the tools and also the adjustable angled head, I have an original Fein machine which I have been cursing as the tools just clamped with a hexagon socket bolt which vibrated loose and the tool was then turning.
What a great product. Husband has used it a number of times and is impressed with it. Definitely recommend.
Great improvement on the previous model. Pivoting head, variable speed and quick release mechanism all really useful. Great tool now.
I purchased this model as the reviews on this model of Ryobi seemed to be the best. Was aware sanding pad may not be great. This was not the case. Everything worked correctly. Changing blades is really easy with the quick release. the head s magnetic so blades stay in place before clamping. comes with an adapter for other makes of blade. It has variable speed with soft start. the trigger can be locked in the on positions. I didn’t think the tilting head would ever be used. How wrong I was, excellent feature and I have used it many times. I bought a blade set and was glad I did as there is very few blades with the tool. I used one to grind away some cut steps on old black brick. It was 4 bricks in total and it tool about 30 minutes. My 2.5Ahr battery was at 50%, so it is quite heavy on power use. All in glad I spent a little bit more and took this model. If you already have +1 tools this is an excellent addition.

This is a handy tool which I got as a I already had a Ryobi one+ battery and it made sense to save the money. I have been pleasantly surprise to fine how easy this is to use and that multiple universal attachments work fine with the tool.
Good addition to my growing Ryobi collection make sure you get at least a 4ah battery for this as it won’t last long with the 2ah ones!
I’ve had my eye on one of these for some time after seeing a chippie at work in my house using it. I needed it for a simple task to do with levelling off some skirting boards and it worked like a charm. It’s so easy and quick to use with a multitude of accessories and I’ve already got my eye on it further for some other DIY tasks. It’s a lot more versatile and precise than I imagined.
I had a look at the Ryobi and mainly compared it to the DeWalt. The one thing that I liked about this tool was that you can change the angle of the head. This feature has been very useful – and in fact more than I thought.
I, unfortunately, had to buy into the Ryobi One+ system making it a steep value entry and actually this research and decision took longer than on the multi-tool itself. The Ryobi tools and system seem to get favourable reviews alike from both DIY and Trade folks and there are plenty of YouTube videos. I did plumb for the 5ah battery in order to able to use it for other tools requiring more power. The 5ah battery hasn’t made it heavy or awkward to use but admittedly it was a bit of a risk.
I also bought some additional accessories with the tool and they work well with the device’s quick release system – although I’ve not seen any that don’t work with this Ryobi.
The only small gripe is that the quick release lever has a bit of a kick and can give you a sharp twang.
If you already have a Ryobi One+ battery then it is a no-brainer.
I’m very pleased with the device.

My husband wanted this for his birthday and has already been using this on a few jobs. He is very happy.
Good tool for my collection of one + tools, already well used during daughters kitchen reno. Love the toeless cutter changer, very good. Bought this to replace a guff Terratec one I bought from a shopping channel which never worked right but just stopped working after a year of light use.
Addedthis to my One+ tool kit, a really versitle tool for those arkward places a normal saw can not get. Would recommend.
Great tool for tight access and it’s adjustable head is definitely a plus over the competition.
Bought this after seeing one used on an instruction video on laying laminate flooring. Makes quick and easy work of trimming door architraves and any other trim to allow expansion gaps around the edge of the room. Highly recommended, especially if you have the One-Plus batteries. I also bought the add-on pack of cutting bits, but it already comes with the same parts in the box, so unless you intend to go through the blades quickly, it’s not necessary to buy the extras that Amazon suggests.
Good tool. The L shape blade comes with the attachment/accessories is not too strong. It easily bends and cracks. Be careful. Just bought a set of extra accessories as back up. The adjustable head and clip and change function is good and useful.
My second one of these, this one the latest version and even better than the last one.
Everyone needs one if you are serious about a great final finish
I like the tool although it’s too early to tell how durable it is. Unfortunately, since I am located in the US, Ryobi US will not warranty the unit if it fails. This model is not available here in the US, and that is unfortunate. This model has features that the US model doesn’t.
Used for cutting into skirting board fixed to the wall. Awesome bit of kit.
Used for variety of tasks so far, and hasn’t been a problem. Already am part of their ecosystem so was a no brained.
Does what it says on the tin
Nice addition to my se
As usual good quality from Ryobi. Don’t know how I managed before I had this tool, it’s brilliant. The ability to angle the head of the tool is a boon, it means you can get into awkward places. lovely tool.
Much easier to use over my ryobi cable multi tool and also easier to switch blades or change over to the sander head. Very happy with purchase and works well with my one + batteries and very versatile.
use it mainly to cut out holes for sockets in plasterboard, which it does very well. Nice clean cuts.
All most all my power tools are Ryobi so easy to use
This product is great! The battery (bought separately) lasts ages, the clamping mechanism works brilliantly, it’s light and easy to work with. This is one of those products that really delights.
I bought this to re-grout a shower enclosure, which was soooooo much easier than doing it manually. If you’ve ever spent time trying to hack grout out by hand, using a grout removal tool, you’d be utterly blown away by the rate at which this rips through it. It makes a lot more dust than the hand tool, but it’s much, much, much quicker and more thorough. Now I’m looking for other jobs to do. I’m thinking the tiling’s gonna be changing in the kitchen next…
My multitool came used??? I’m sure the product is excellent but dont trust Amazon as they are not helpful at all.
I love this tool. Made light work of trimming the edges of laminate flooring that had already been laid. I did find the tool slightly cumbersome, but overall I’m happy with it and can’t wait for more excuses to use it.
Very handy for my current project of cutting a lot of twinwall PolyCarb and chasing mortar to replace flashing. Comes with some wood and metal disks that seem disappointingly sub-par, fine for one or two things, but you should definitely purchase bits to use. Kits are inexpensive. Surprisingly economical on the battery use.
Best multi tool yet. You all know you need one.
I purchased the Multitool and a Ryobi strimmer and they are both excellent, I use one battery and I cant believe how long it lasts.
A good value and veratile machine, takes all the cutters etc, not as good motor as a brushless but as powerful and half the price
If you want to cut something straight, but the width of the hacksaw stops you cutting it straight, this is the tool for you. Takes some getting used to though. I am concerned this could be a cause of H.A.V.S – user beware! This can also be very loud so don’t forget your P.P.E.
Roybi make good tools & this is no exception, worth the price.
What a great tool this is
Cannot fault this in any way..
A really good cordless multitool which was in constant use however it has developed a fault with the trigger mechanism meaning sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I am thinking of buying a 2nd one and to try to resolve the issue as it’s out of warranty, otherwise it’s a handy tool in the box.
This is the best tool I’ve ever bought, I don’t know how I’ve lived all these years without it!
I got this to do a special job , which it did with no problem . It has been very useful and the movable head has been great.
I’d give the Ryobi one+ R18MT 4 stars.
The tool itself is really good, feels sturdy in the hand, It’s extremely long but the angles you can use with the attachments and the different positions of the head would make getting into any area a breeze.
It is noisy as you turn up the speed but it cuts as it should, if your looking for neatness then you have to really go carefully and make allowances for the oscillation/vibration/movement of the cutting blade tool especially when cutting into wood.
The down side:- I found the sanding pads won’t stay on the pad that the multitool comes with as you will see in the video I’ve attached, not sure if it’s a fault with the sanding pad or the pad the sanding pad attaches to.
However, with all that said it’s a good tool, just a shame about the pad.
I said a naughty word if your wondering what the bleep sound was…sorry all ;-))))

The articulating head makes the tool more versatile for work in cramped spaces
The pivoting head is the reason I purchased this. I use this just about everyday and it’s top notch
What an improvement on the last version, easy tool change, easy angle change and plenty enough power for most DIY jobs. I think the tool change on this is better than the Dremel quick change and the quality is easily on par but with a much better price point.
eally good tool, I’ve had so much use out of it and when someone with a normal buzzy tool sees how easy it is to change the heads on this one they’re convinced it was worth the money!
Good tool and price but not all attachments in box.
Probably worth the extra to get it new.
as good as any added benifit of not having a cord to get in the way
hubby loves it
especially cos you can rotate the head
well made
Big Fan of Ryobi 18+, Just what I wanted. Great tool
A bit expensive but very practical, especially the mobile head allowing reaching certain places while having the tool in a good grip. I only used the multitool for cutting so far but with great efficiency. I used it with 4.0 Ah Ryobi and non-Ryobi batteries, so far so good! 4 stars rather than 5 for a slightly excessive price.
