Great little things. Have been using my first one for a few years now, so decided to buy another so I can do two tyres at a time and speed things up. I use it for topping up the tyres on our family cars and have helped out neighbours with it occasionally as well.
They’re pretty noisy little things though, as most compressors are!
Good product. A bit frivolous, but miles better than the cheaper, cigarette lighter plug in ones.

Avec cet inflateur vous pouvez rajuster la pression de vos pneus de vhicule de faon trs partique et assez prcise. Seul bmol le gros tuyau plastique pour les matelas gonflables; il n’est pas retenu par une attache sur la totalit de la longueur et il fait un peu toc.

The built-in pressure sensor feature isn’t exactly accurate as on mine it under-pressures by about 3psi at 45psi (reads 45psi but actually pumps to 42psi) and I’d rather it did that than over-pressure. I set it to 47psi and it gives me the 45psi I want.

I’m a long time user of Ryobi tools and this is a great addition to my workshop. Even my oldest 1+ batteries work well in this pump
Much more convenient than messing about with air pumps at garages. Very easy to use and extremely accurate. Stops inflating when the set pressure is reached. Well worth considering particularly if you already have a Ryobi One+ battery.
Excellent,mpumps up bike and car tyres. Also inflates my Air awning for the caravan. Just have to finish with abfew pumps on the hand pump. Wish it came in a carry bag though to keep all the bits together.
Der Kompressor pumpt mit wenig Energiebedarf problemlos Auto- und Fahrradreifen. Ursprnglich hatten wir ihn gekauft, um damit unsere Inflatable SUPs aufzublausen. Das funktioniert jedoch nicht gut. Das Gert schaltet hufig zwischendurch ab und man ist nicht schneller als mit einer manuellen Pumpe. An genutzten Strnden wre das Gert auch zu laut.

Der Kompressor ist genial fr alle Pump-Arbeiten. Ob Pkw, Fahrrad oder Luftmatratze, es lsst sich alles mhelos aufpumpen. Ganz toll ist es wenn man mit der Fahrradpumpe keine Absttzmglichkeit hat, wie z.B. bei meinem Hauswasserwerk, das auf einem kleinen Podest steht. Sonst musste ich mit der Pumpe gegen die Wand pumpen um den Druckbehlter zu fllen, jetzt stell ich einfach den Druck ein, halte es daneben und ruck zuck wird es auf den eingestellten Druck aufgepumpt.

This works better than expected, it inflated my motorhome tyres at 60psi and above. I have 5ah battery and it’s still on full after bikes, cars and motorhome. Light and easy to use.

Den Ryobi Kompressor mchte ich nicht mehr missen. Ob Autoreifen, Fahrradreifen, Luftmatratzen oder Schwimmbecken, es wird alles aufgepustet. Ein groes Schwimmbecken dauert geschtzt 30 Sekunden. Autoreifen werden bis zum vorher eingegebenen Wunschdruck tadellos gefllt. Die Flexibilitt durch den Akkubetrieb ist Gold wert. Ich habe 4ah Akkus von anderen Ryobi Werkzeugen. Nach 4 Autoreifen, ein paar Fahrradreifen und dem groen Schwimmbecken war nicht mal 25% des Akkus verbraucht. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
This is the best tyre inflator that I have ever purchased. The battery lasts and it does what it says it does.
I have purchased a new tyre inflator every year for the last 5 years and so I am hoping this one will not only last but will save me money whilst at the same time doing what I want which is to inflate many different tyres of cars, tractors quadbikes, lawn mowers and trailors. Nothing else on the market goes any where near this.
It seems to be a well designed device like all the Ryobi machines, and, as it is not something you expect to use very often, should last well. However if you take it away with you, you will need the charger as well as the battery.

Great inflator. A little noisy but works well and pumps up our (85psi) trailer tyres with ease. It seems easy on the batteries too. Nice to be able to use my existing batteries. Delivery nice and quick.

ich habe mir das oben abgebildete Produkt ber Amazon Warehouse besorgt und bin sehr zufrieden. Ich konnte heute super einfach und schnell die Reifen meines Dirtbikes aufpumpen. Die Lautstrke ist okay, und deutlich leiser als der Handsauger von Ryobi.
Ich kann dieses Produkt allen empfehlen, die schon mit Ryobi Produkten bestckt sind und so auch die notwendigen Akkus besitzen.
Fr das aufpumpen der Reifen auf 2,5 Bar habe ich einen 1,5 mAh Akku von Ryobi genutzt. Dadurch und durch weitere spielerein ging 1 Balken des Akkus verloren.

This is a bare device so you have to have at least one battery.It has pre-settings, inflates fairly speedily and is very portable. I’ve had them all, and the 12v cigarette lighter type is a bore. You often have to have the ignition on and the lead is often not long enough, draped over seats and through doors. Often too, they have a dial you cannot read, going up to over 200psi. I’ve used others with a 12v spare battery but the lugging around is just too much. Er ist gut geeignet um Fahrradreifen und Autoreifen aufzupumpen.
Praktisch ist, dass man kein Kabel mitschleppt, den Kompressor neben den Reifen stellt und aufpumpt.
Er schafft es auch bei einem 295er Reifen die Luft nachzufllen.
Gut ist auch die Druck Voreinstellung. Nach erreichen des Drucks schaltet der Kompressor ab. Die berprfung mit einem Messgert zeigt, dass die Druckanzeige am Kompressor recht gut stimmt.
Der kleinen Baugre geschuldet ist das Gert natrlich laut. Und man braucht auch etwas Zeit.

Aber mit diesem Gert hat man sich nach m.E. nicht die grte Mhe gegeben.
Dieses ganze Hin- und Hergespringe beim Einschalten zwischen PSI und Bar (jedesmal wieder neu anzuwhlen), dann die unterschiedliche Anzeige, ob ich den Luftschlauch im eingeschalteten Zustand an das Ventil klemme, oder im ausgeschalteten und erst dann einschalte!
Gebe ich 2,5 Bar ein, fhrt das Gert auf 2,65 hoch und schaltet dann ab: Mal stehen dann im Endeffekt 2,50, oder auch 2,6 Bar auf dem Display.
Bin auch dem Irrtum erlegen, dass das Gert doch selbststndig Luft ablassen knnen wird, wenn ich weniger als den im Reifen vorhandenen Druck eingebe – nein, diese Funktion gibt es nicht- wre ja auch zu schn gewesen.
Habe dennoch eine traumhaft gute alternative Verwendung dafr gefunden: Bentige mit dem Aufblasschlauch fr Luftmatratzen etc. nun nur noch ca. eine Minute, um unseren Kamin zu Hchstleistungen anzufachen. Zwar irre laut, aber das Feuer brennt fast ohne Anzndhilfen…..!
Daran hat sicher vorher kein Konstrukteur gedacht. Manchmal zeigen sich verborgene Eigenschaften erst im tglichen Gebrauch! Ich sehe es deshalb sportlich!
Ich hatte bereits das (blaue) Vorgngermodell seit einigen Jahren und war eigentlich immer sehr zufrieden, bis die Elektronik irgendwann den Geist aufgegeben hat. Meines Wissens der einzige Hersteller der einen Kompressor mit Akkubetrieb (und NICHT 12V Zigarettenanschluss) anbietet. Dieses Modell ist leichter, kompakter und funktioniert wunderbar. Einziges Manko: der Schlauch um Luftmatratzen/Pools udgl. aufzublasen ist von sehr minderwertiger Qualitt. Der Kunststoff ist so dnnwandig, dass man ihn ohne Probleme eindrcken und knicken kann. Ich werde den Schlauch meines alten Ryobi-Kompressors an dieses Gert anschlieen.
Avevo bisogno di uno strumento versatile (funziona a batteria e questo e’ un plus irrinunciabile) abbastanza potente per gonfiare Auto Moto ed eventualmente altro (Ryobi sgonfia pure). Posso tranquillamente affermare di aver trovato quello che cercavo.
Con questo compressore confermo il mio livello di soddisfazione verso questo prodotto versatile economico e che soddisfa al 100% le mie esigenze.
Semplice da utilizzare, abbastanza silenzioso, potente quel che basta per il lavoro che e’ chiamato a fare. Per quanto riguarda la batteria, sto sfruttando quella del trapano che ne ha peraltro due Ryobi RB18L15 Lithium-Ion 1500mAh 18V.

El compresor es excelente, muy completo, buen tamao, bastante rpido, y muy completo pues lleva para dar aire prcticamente a todo.
Las bateras como he comentado en el apartado de bateras, dejan muchas dudas y a m particularmente estropea un poco el conjunto.
Si compras como hice yo la bolsa de herramientas Ryobi UTB2, es amarilla tambin y hace juego con todo esto, puedes meter perfectamente el compresor, una segunda batera ( una puesta y otra quitada y el cargador ), queda perfecto, y la bolsa apenas vale 12 euros, es lo mejor del conjunto.
Das Gert erfllt bis jetzt alle meine Erwartungen, ein Luftbett hat der Kompressor schnell aufgeblasen, meine Fahrradreifen sowie ein Autoreifen, hat er tadellos mit Luft gefllt.
Ich habe ihn sogar mit zum Strand genommen, dank Akku, und habe dort eine riesige Luftmatratze aufgeblasen, der Neidfaktor der Anderen wuchs immer mehr 😉
Klasse ist die automatische Druckeinstellung, auswhlen wieviel Bar bzw. Psi auf den Reifen sollen und der Kompressor stoppt sofort nach erreichen des vorher eingestellten Druck, das ist schon Klasse, ob der Druck auch stimmt, kann ich nicht beurteilen, ich gehe aber davon aus, die Rder waren alle genau richtig.

Now I’ve made all three cars the same tyre pressure I just set this digitally in bars (has other units available) the flip the toggle to car pump and wait for it to stop. Maybe listen to car radio if a longer fill. Haven’t tried the air bed feature. Wonder if it’s man enough to drive a sprayer?
18v batteries are in my drills and radio (also recommended) so swaps there.
Like all Ryobi tools this is made to a very high standard and let me tell you it works fantastically!

Ich hab den Kompressor immer noch in Betrieb und er hat mit meinem umfangreichen Fuhrpark auch hufig zu tun. Bisher funktioniert der RYOBI einwandfrei und es gab bislang keine Ausflle. Preis/Leistung: Top
Zum schnellen Befllen nimmt man die linke Seite mit einem HR Ventiladapter und pumpt dann mit Druck den Rest mit dem Red Paddle Adapter auf.
Zum Ryobi selbst. Das Gert ist relativ laut wie alle Kompressoren, da kann man nichts machen. Auf der Oberseite befinden sich Einstellmglichkeiten fr den aufzubauenden Druck und ein Schalter fr die Druckart. Das Gewicht ist zu vernachlssigen. Auf der Unterseite wird der NICHT mitgelieferte Akku einsteckt. Ich habe einen originalen 4AH Akku dazu erworben, der bei meinen Einsatzzwecken ewig hlt. Rckseitig befindet sich noch ein Anschluss um Luft abzusaugen. Der mittig oben angebrachte Tragegriff rundet das Ganze noch ab.
Schnes Gert fr nicht allzuviel Geld.

Da ich im Besitz von dem Brushlessschrauber, der Stichsge und des Schlagschraubers bin wollte ich es um dieses Teil erweitern und bin nicht enttuscht worden.
Klar er ist nicht so schnell wie der Netzbetriebene aber das ist (fr mich) uninteressant weil ich nebenbei die Reifen wechsel und somit nicht daneben stehen muss.
Die Niederdruckseite hab ich noch nicht getestet macht aber einen guten Eindruck von der Luftleistung. Das einzige was es wirklich zu bemngeln gibt sind die Schluche. Sowohl auf der Hochdruck und Niederdruckseite fhlen sich leider nicht so hochwertig an bzw machen einen eher billigen Eindruck.
Der Kompressor wurde in einer Umverpackung unbeschdigt geliefert. Akku und Ladegert mssen gesondert erworben werden, soweit man nicht schon mit dem 18V One+ System von Ryobi ausgestattet ist.
Verarbeitungsqualitt und erster Eindruck
Haptik und Verarbeitung sind in bekannt-guter Ryobi-Qualitt. Der Kompressor ist leicht und in etwa so gro, wie ein Schuhkarton. Er ist kein Leisetreter, aber immerhin noch etwas leiser, als die gngigen 12V-Minikompressoren.
Funktion
Es gibt auf der rechten Seite des Gertes einen Hochdruckanschlu mit schmalem Schlauch und Kipphebeladapter. ber den ca. 70 cm langen Druckluftschlauch lsst sich damit Alles mit gngigem Autoventil aufpumpen. Adapter fr Presta-Ventile (franz. Fahrradventile) und eine Ballnadel sind ebenfalls vorhanden und seitlich am Gert befestigt.
Auf der linken Seite des Kompressors ist der Niederdruckanschlu mit einem etwas dickeren Kunststoffschlauch. Damit lassen sich z. B. Schlauchboote, Luftmatratzen u. . aufblasen. Man kann damit nach der Autowsche auch lose Krmel aus der Schaltkulisse oder den Lftungsdsen pusten. Von Druckluft aus groen Kompressoren mit Drucklufttank ist das Gert aber weit entfernt.
Aufpumpen:
Man whlt die gewnschte Druck-Einheit und den bentigten Druck und startet den Aufpumpvorgang. Kippschalter nach links – Niederdruckseite wird angesteuert … Kipphebel nach rechts – Hochdruckseite.
Ist der Druck erreicht, schaltet sich die Pumpe automatisch ab – sehr praktisch!.
Fazit
Der Akku-Kompressor lt sich mit dem mittig angeordneten Akku hervorragend tragen und besticht durch sein mobiles Konzept – kein strendes Kabel und kein 5m-langer, sperriger Schlauch, der den Autolack verkratzt. Man macht sich damit vllig unabhngig von den Luft-Nachfllstationen der Tankstellen und kommt im Sommer nicht ins Schwitzen, wenn man z. B. Kindern grovolumiges Spielzeug aufblt. Langzeiterfahrungen konnte ich noch nicht machen. Aus jetziger Sicht ist er sein Geld absolut wert!

It is an excellent piece of kit which I also use to inflate bicycle and car tyres with ease. However, do not expect it to cope with the higher demand of commercial vehicle tyres for which it was not designed.
Handy for inflating tyres with no power leads to bother about. Useful at the moment as I appear to have a slow puncture requiring the tyre to be inflated every couple of weeks
Da ich schon diverse Gerte des One+ Systems von Ryobi habe und jedes Jahr bei 3 Fahrzeugen die Rder wechseln muss, habe ich mir diesen Kompressor gekauft. Ich hatte bisher so ein “Spielzeug” von Aldi, der ber den Zigarettenanznder luft. Aber dat Dingen ist so klein, das braucht fast eine viertel Stunde, um einen Autoreifen aufzupumpen. Dabei hpft und rattert es munter vor sich hin.
Dieser Kompressor hier hat leider die von anderen Rezensenten beschriebene “Krankheit”, dass die Druckanzeige defekt ist.
Beim ersten Test am Fahrrad hat sie noch funktioniert; nur 0,1 Bar Abweichtung zum Luftdruckprfer. Beim ersten Radwechsel fr die Autos zeigte sie allerdings ca. 1 Bar zu wenig an und hat dann auch statt der gewnschten 3 Bar (zur Einlagerung) satte 4 Bar in die Reifen geprgelt. Habe ich Gott sei Dank gemerkt und gleich wieder abgelassen.
Nach dem 3. Reifen zeigte sie dann sogar ganze 2 Bar zu wenig an und wollte also 5 Bar in die Reifen drcken…..
Ich habe dann “manuell” etwas mehr als 3 Bar reingepumpt und mit dem Luftdruckprfer nachgemessen und entsprechend abgelassen.
Den Kompressor habe ich bei Amazon reklamiert (ist erst knapp 3 Wochen alt) und ich bekomme jetzt einen neuen zugeschickt.

Wenn der neue Kompressor funktionieren sollte (was ich hoffe, sonst zerstrt das irgendwie mein Weltbild von Ryobi), dann werde ich die Rezension entsprechend anpassen.
Ergnzung: Das neue Gert funktioniert. Es hat erst 0,1 Bar zu wenig angezeigt, jetzt stimmt es mit meinem Luftdruckprfer berein. Dann hoffen wir mal, dass der Druckmesser/-schalter dieses Mal lnger hlt.
Great device! The battery was a bit of a hassle to buy, but now I can use it for more tools from Ryobi. You also need to buy the charger! Now I can easily inflate my car, my motorcycle and my bicycle! I totally recommend it!
Habe das Gert wegen des bereits vorhandenen Akkus und Ladegert gekauft. Die Vorteile fr mich sind: Da ich einige Fahrzeuge besitze und ich nicht immer zum “Luftaufpumpen” zur Tankstelle fahren mchte ist dieses leichte und transportable Gert fr mich ideal. Es sollte jedoch vorher der Akku geladen werden, da es sonst nach lngerer Standzeit nicht einsatzbereit ist. Leider gibt’s keine Ausblaspistole dafr. Ansonsten kann ich es empfehlen.
his is a much smaller unit than i thought.so i was very sceptical about it .but i have used it now and its been faultless.
Je m’en suis servi avec une batterie 1.5 v pour gonfler trois voitures et une moto. J’ai trouv personnellement que le gonflage tait rapide, je n’ai pas utilis les autres embouts, vlo, matelas mais pour l’instant il me donne entire satisfaction.
J’aurai toutefois prfr un autre systme de verrouillage de l’embout de gonflage voiture /moto qui ressemble celui que l’on trouve sur certaines pompes vlos, voir l’usage…

comme a l’habitude le matriel RYOBI conforme a mes attends . simple et pratique par rapport a un compresseur conventionnel (mettre en marche le compresseur remplir la cuve sortir la rallonge pneumatique et puis avoir les outils Ade coite ) l une batterie on n’a tous sous la mains pour gonfler les pneus de voiture , vlo , moto et aussi matelas piscine gonflable et tous types de ballons. prix dfiant toutes concurrence et la livraison du produits avec un jour d’avance sur la date prvus . je le conseil a tous le monde
Das Gerte ist an sich nicht schlecht wenn es luft Funktioniert es sehr gut ob Auto reifen Fahrrad reifen ect ABER leider in diesem Jahr 2 jahren und 20mal genutz machte das gert schlapp ich wollte einen Reifen aufpumpen und es hat klack gemacht und es ging nix mehr Display war blau anzeige in Bar lie sich einstellen aber beim anschalten des Gertes nix ! der eingestellte druck ging auf 0 und das war es !Als findiger Bastler war das eine Herausforderung also Multimeter raus ok :Motor bekommt keine Masse von der Platine gut Masse kabel abgekniffen und direckt auf Masse Kabel des lfters geltet und der Motor luft wider aber es lsst sich der druck nicht mehr einstellen was nicht schlimm ist da es einem Momentan druck Anzeige gibt die bis zum schluss gut funktioniert ! Also nicht gleich wegschmeien den China p.r.c krahm es ist einfachste Technik zum selber reparieren!!!
NO lleva bateria se compra aparte o como yo compre una taladradora de la misma marca ya lleva bateria y la utilizo en ambas maquinas.Para inflar las ruedas de los coches no tiene ningn problema.Yo aparte la utilizo para soplar en los equipos informaticos para quitar las pelusa etc.

Il est trs efficace et peu bruyant par rapport un gonfleur de matelas dans un magasin lambda.
Le seul bmol est que le joint en caoutchouc l’intrieur est un peu fragile mais a ne gne pas le fonctionnement. Il faut aussi voir en tte que malgr qu’il gonfle +0.5bar pour anticiper le retrait du flexible, la pression retombe quand mme d’un bar voir plus. Mais aprs on s’adapte.
Ecran bleu trs bien clair, choix de pression 0.1bar agrable.
Very useful for inflating tyres and mattresses. I have gotten a lot of use out of it. Especially useful for inflating a mattress while camping. You can also set the pressure to inflate your tyre to on the display. Which is a little finicky. The tyre inflater can also be a little difficult to get off the valve. But a sharp tug normally frees it. I’m quite happy with this Ryobi 18V stuff for the price!

Das Teil ist klein, leicht, ausdauernd (oben genanntes wurde alles mit einem nicht vollen Akku durchgefhrt und der Akku war noch nicht leer) und hat alle notwendigen Adapter fr oben genannte Anwendungen am Gert.
Fr meine Zwecke bestens geeignet.
Ich wrde es jedem, der keinen schweren Luftkompressor bentigt, empfehlen.
Mein Schwiegervater will es nun auch …. 🙂

Meines Wissens der einzige Luftdruckkompressor, der unabhngig vom Netz und damit auch an jedem Straenrand betrieben/eingesetzt werden kann. Bravo! (die Netzgerte knnen mir gestohlen bleiben).
Schattenseiten gibt es aber auch:
– So gert das Gert schon beim Aufblasen von vier Autoreifen um insgesamt etwa 1,0 Bar an die Grenzen seiner Leistungsfhigkeit. Wird es berbeansprucht, so ist dies am Rauch erkennbar, der aus den Entlftungsschlitzen dringt. Es empfiehlt sich in solchen Fllen, eine grere Pause einzulegen.
– Das Gert macht auch ziemlich viel Lrm. Der Betrieb in einem Hinterhof wrde wohl als strend empfunden werden, zumindest auerhalb blicher Geschftszeiten.
– Der Lithium-Akku darf nicht im Auto gelassen werden, weil er nicht ber 40 Grad Celsius gelagert werden sollte. Es gibt aber meines Wissens auch passgleiche Nickel-Metallhydrid Akkus mit 18 Volt.

Ich war auf der Suche nach eine Luftpumpe und bin dann irgendwie auf diesen Kompressor gestoen. Da ich bereits Ryobi Gerte mit passendem Akku verwende war natrlich sofort mein Interesse geweckt.
Zugegeben, der Kompressor ist ein ganz klitze kleines bisschen teurer als eine Luftpumpe, aber es lohnt sich.
Eigentlich sind es sogar 2 Gerte in einem.
-Auf der einen Seite befinden sich Anschlsse fr Autoventile, Adapter fr Blle, Fahrrad usw.
-Auf der anderen Seite ein dicker Schlauch zum Aufpumpen von Pools, LuMas usw.
-unglaublich gutes Feature, man kann sogar die Luft aus Swimmingpools etc wieder absaugen nach dem Gebrauch.
-ebenfalls, der gewnschte Luftdruck lsst sich voreinstellen. Gerade fr Autoreifen, Fahrrder etc. ist das super!

Ich hatte frher den alten Bosch 14,4 aber da sind die jetzt die Akkus leider defekt. Der hier hat aber viel mehr Leistung und er ist bequemer zum Nutzen.
10 Fahrrder nacheinander aufpumpen? Kein Problem. 120 PSI in einem Rennrad? Kein Problem. 22PSI in das Fully? Kein Problem.
Der einzige Nachteil ist dass das Ding eigentlich viel zu gro ist. Knnte, wenn man es sich genau anguckt, wirklich etwas kompakter sein.
Die Anschlsse sind auch nicht gerade so genial. Die Schluche sind etwas eine Schwachstelle… Ich habe einfach die Anschlussadapter von meiner Bosch Pumpe reingehngt und damit ist es dann genial.

Autoreifen und Fahrradreifen kann man hiermit bestens aufpumpen.
Mein Hauptaugenmerk lag aber in einem anderen bereich: Sauberkeit!
Ich nutze das Gert aufgrund der gerinngen Gre regelmssig um hinter und unter Schrnke den Staub zu entfernen. Der gesamte Dreck fliegt hervor und lsst sich wunderbar wegsaugen.
Auch habe ich Sammlervitrinen. Hier kann ich aufgrund des schwachen Druckes auch um meine Miniaturen herum Blasen ohne das diese durch die Gegen fliegen.
Also falls jemand so wie ich ein weiteres Einsatzgebiet ( Sauberkeit) ins Auge fasst, dass Gert ist dafr gut geeignet. :- )
Perfect addition to my Ryobi collection. Decided to invest in one of these having got fed up of driving down to my local petrol station and finding the machine was always out of service. I’ve inflated a couple of tyres from flat to 35psi which to around 5 minutes (with the Ryobi RB18L40 ONE+ 4.0ah battery), needless to say this saved me from a whole load of pain. Looking forwards to using it again soon!

I can’t really say a lot about this because I bought it as a Christmas present. Ryobi though is good because of the fact that one doesn’t need multiple batteries as one suits all of the additional tools.
Very good, inflates a large tyre (255 70 16) from flat, with the small (1.3ah) battery.
Love it, works great. Ryobi what more can you say.
Inflates tyres well, tops up a 185/75 15 tyre from 16psi to 40 psi in 2 minutes: it will also do an Ifor Williams tyre to 90 psi, but it takes a while, and gets quite warm.
Auto cutoff when set pressure is reached is superb; you can do something else without worrying about over inflation.
Only four stars though, because airbed inflator is a bit weak and slooow.
You won’t want to carry this round in your boot as you won’t want to tie up a valuable Ryobi battery on it. It’s a garage tool.
A friend who already had one warned me that they ‘eat’ batteries. He was correct. I fully charged 4.2 amp hour +1 Ryobi battery will probably just about pump up a flat car tyre on one go before the battery will run out of steam. You’d struggle to completely inflate something like a 4×4 tyre or van tyre with one battery. Remember that you don’t get a battery with this tool.
I still like it, I’m happy I brought it, but don’t expect much. It seems very slow to pump a tyre up. It’s useful if you have a caravan or trailer where there may be insufficient lead length to reach a tyre from a nearest 12 volt cigar lighter socket, but you’ll need to carry 2 batteries with it to be safe.
You can get 12 volt cigar lighter socket powered tyre pumps that are just as efficient as this for about 20, so you need to keep that in mind. This is a decent bit of kit but with limitations.
I found it easy to use and had no problems with the tyres of Two cars and their Spares, Two bicycles and the Pneumatic tyres of Two Wheelbarrows. Admittedly these applications were top ups as opposed to inlating from Flat, but the 1.3Ah battery handled the job well and there was still plenty of juice left in the Tank.
The manufacturer has built into the inflator, an allowance when in use. Say you set your Ryobi Inflator to 32psi then turn on the inflator. It will pump past 32psi and then turn itself off at 33psi. The manufacturer has allowed for the loss of some air when you disconnect the thumblock from the valve of your tyre. Check your tyre pressure again and you will find it will measure 32psi. Very clever.
The weight of the unit with a 1.3Ah battery fitted is 1.9kgs. The overall dimensions are 270mm x 202mm x 174mm. The length of the deflationary flexible tube is 915mm. Its diameter is 28mm. The length of inflatory pipe is 710mm. Its diameter is 10mm.
The deflation/inflation aspect of the Ryobi was tested on an inflatable Sunbed, and like inflating the tyres, presented no problems whatsoever. I found that removing the flexible deflationary tube from the unit when not in use, was an advantage because its length which prevented it from being stowed away completely on the Unit.(Surplus of Tube) On the inflation side of the unit, there was no such issue. The connecting pipe and valve connector, stowed away quite neatly on the Unit when not in use and was a very good design feature.
One other use of the inflator I found was as a Mini Blower for clearing my work bench of sawdust etc. On the Inflation End of the Ryobi inflator, are clipped three small adapters for use on airbeds, footballs etc. I put the Black Plastic adapter into the end of the inflator hose, closed the thumblock to secure it and then turned on the inflator, which then produces a nice steady airflow, strong enough to blow away sawdust and other light debris that had accumulated on the Bench.
This is a stylistic, very modern looking piece of equipment and the designers at Ryobi have excelled themselves in producing this R18I-O One Plus Inflator for the 21st Century.

This was useful as I already had a battery and charger from my Ryobi garden tools. It is so easy to preset the pressure required. No more fiddling with a pocket gauge.
This is a very good little inflator and its gauge is very accurate.

Wasn’t terribly clear you have to buy batteries separately, although lisfed as “bare tool”, seems very well made so will have to buy batteries.

As tyre pressures increase (eg caravan or trailer tyres maybe) compressors are put under more strain because it has to pump harder against a higher load, which I guess is where many cheap 12V car ones blow the fuse. This unit is rated to 150 psi/ 10 bar and I have no doubt it would be up to the job, but I have not tested that.
It has a separate fan motor intended for blowing high volumes of lower pressure air, for inflatable beds, toys etc. or eg light duty air blowing. By connecting the flexi-hose to the inlet instead, the pump will also deflate airbeds etc. too. Adapters for presta valves footballs etc are included. My only gripe is the low-volume flexi hose is longer than the photos suggest, so it can’t wrap neatly around the end of the inflator. I found it gets in the way when you try to store it on the pump, so I leave that in the box.
This is proving a great, labour saving accessory for home use and I’m very pleased with my purchase.
(Update – four years later and it is still working well though it has occasional use only.)
Very convenient to use – no longer have to put key in ignition and plug into internal 12v socket. Very important to have correct car tyre pressures, and this tool makes checking & correcting easier – and therefore gets done more often.
I found the gauge slightly under reads, so pump up higher to get correct pressure. Pleased I purchased this.
kein Problem .Ein Test an einem geeichten Luftdruckkompressor (Tankstelle) zeigte aber das der Kompressor 0,5bar weniger anzeigt als
er liefert. Wenn er5,5 bar anzeigt sind 6bar im Reifen.Die 0,5 bar kann man nicht kontroliert auf der Hochdruckseite rauspumpen.
Man mu also5,0bar eingeben um 5,5Bar zu bekommen .Ist also kein Problem wenn man es vorher wei.Ich betreibe den Kompressor
mit einem 4.0Ah Akku.Erhhung von 4Wohnmobilreifen um1 Bar und fllen von 2 Fahradreifen je 3Bar ging locker mit einer Akkuladung.
Ein Stern Abzug fr die hohe Ungenauigkeit von 0,5Bar sonst aber einguter Kompressor.

Gesagt getan, voll aufgeladenes AKKU 18 V / 4 Ah rein und die Winterreifen von 1,5 bar auf 3,5 bar aufgepustet.
War kein Problem; und die Batterie noch lange nicht am Ende.
Einzig die Befllzeiten verlangen vom Bediener einiges an Kondition.
Dass zum Beispiel ein Ablassventil zur Korrektur eines zu hohen Luftdruckes fehlt, ist gerade noch zu verschmerzen.
Der Betrieb aus der Steckdose wre erstrebenswert. Auch die Mglichkeit einer Speicherung der Grundeinstellung wre nicht schlecht. Ansonsten ist das Gert gut zu haben; auch fr Fahrradreifen und Luftmatratzen.

A good piece of kit which does what you want it to do. It is small and portable, the instructions were a bit hard to follow and I got there through trial and error. One down side – battery not included so expect to spend an extra 60 – 80 pounds to get it going
Fahrrad und Blle, nicht irgendwo beigelegt, sondern am Gert befestigt. Sehr einfache
Druckeinstellung am digitalen Display, keine zittrige Nadelanzeige. Druck in PSI oder Bar
einstellen, Gert schaltet sich bei erreichen des eingestellten Wertes ab. Bei meinem Gert
sind es 0,1 bar mehr als eingestellt. Entweder bercksichtigt man das bei der Eingabe, oder man sieht es als Ausgleich, wenn man die Ventilverbindung lst und dann wie immer etwas Luft entweicht. Lrm: Das Gert ist nicht leise, verglichen mit dem in meinem Fahrzeug mitgelieferten Kleinkompressor ist das Ryobi-Gert aber hchstens halb so laut. Auerdem bleibt es bei seiner Arbeit da stehen, wo man es hinstellt und wandert nicht herum. Da ich auch auf Reisen an meinem Wohnwagen hufiger mal die Drcke kontrolliere und der Service an den Tankstellen immer schlechter wird, bin ich von diesem Akkugert ( bei mir 4 AH, 18 V ) begeistert.
Der Akku wird zustzlich bei einer Ast- und Strauchschere verwendet, die diesem Namen
brigens auch alle Ehre macht und krftig und ausdauernd schneidet. Wer also noch andere
Gerte aus dem reichhaltigen System verwendet, kommt auch zu einem gutem Preis- Leistungsverhltnis, da Akku und Ladegert nur einmal gekauft werden mssen.
Nachtrag Sept. 2015: Beim Luftabsaugen eines aufblasbaren Kinderbadebeckens ist der Saugstpsel abgesprungen und ins Gras gefallen. Offensichtlich wurden ein paar Halme eingesogen und das wars dann: Niedrigdruckteil daraufhin defekt. Ich habe trotzdem ein
neues gleiches Gert gekauft, weil abgesehen von diesem Missgeschick und der offensichtlichen Empfindlichkeit bei der genannten Betriebsart, der Kompressor gute Dienste leistete. Aber aufpassen bei Saugbetrieb! 1 Stern ziehe ich jetzt ab.
