Service was great, product great, delivery quick but disappointing that you would put a label on the actual box – no packaging whatsoever so it completely spoiled the surprise gifts for a big birthday !!
I didn’t want it wrapped but some form of packaging should be used surely?
Great bit of kit, fantastic quality. No blade in box so if you’re buying this, buy blades at the same time
This was my 5 purchase of a Ryobi ONE+ power tool and again not disappointed. Easy to use for all my home DIY jobs. Can’t wait for my next purchase.
This is my 4th Ryobi product, good quality does the job perfectly
I bought this to replace a old mains Black& Decker that had developed a mind of it’s own and refused to switch off. I already had a Ryobi drill and sander so it made sense to go for another member off their One battery range. I’ve used it successfully to cut both straight and awkward shapes in an engineered wood floor and it’s been great. Very easy to use, safe, quick for and release of blades. It’s surpassed my expectations.

So far couldn’t wish for more. Not sure how I managed without it before.
Had previously owned black and decker had for around 15years till it failed looked around heard about Ryobi, price look fair. Can not fault the equipment only got 1.5ah battery’s but last a full day when which included drilling using hammer facility is good so bought the jig saw

Love my ryobi kit and this is a great addition to my bench
It’s so easy to use and accurate such a great gift and total value for money
I’m getting increasingly impressed with every Ryobi purchase I make and this Jigsaw wasn’t any different. Not much to say except it’s light enough to use with ease, but heavy enough that you know its built with decent quality materials. I got going in about 2 minutes after slotting the battery in and it has saved me hours of hand sawing already. I’ve also got the nailgun – the best cordless tool I’ve purchased.
Ryobi tools are good value and there is a good range of tools

Another addition to my Ryobi kit. The problem with jigsaws is the mains cable. With a freshly charged battery this made using a jigsaw to cut out sink hole in a kitchen worksurface fast and easy. Love it!
Best jigsaw ever. Much better than my previous corded machine
With a hood battery this tool is fabulous. Very accurate cutting. I’m very pleased.
Pros:
Cordless jigsaw is convenient, although it carries a price premium.
Multiple cutting settings are easy to configure and make a real difference to the behaviour of the saw.
T-shank fitting makes it quick and easy to fit blades and there’s plenty of choice in blade type and manufacturer.
Pretty efficient – you’ll get a lot of cuts from a single charge.
Cons:
The back-pressure spring on the blade doesn’t provide enough pressure for many of the thinner blades (by which I mean from cutting edge to back of blade) which are the ones you want for cutting tighter curves. I’ve had blades hop off the retainer spring and even had one untwist itself from the t-shank fitting. This was cutting 12mm laminate.
Add to this the tendancy of jigsaw blades to wander left or right and accuracy overall is poor.
Cutting a 5cm thick piece of timber, the deflection can exceed 1cm between where the blade should have come out and where it does on the reverse side. Not a problem for the job I was doing, but would be signficant if you were (for example) cutting a sink rebate in a worktop.
Overall, it’s done the job, but I wouldn’t want to rely on it for cutting anything that absolutely has to be true first time, every time.
It’s a useful tool but I suspect I asked too much of it.

No allen key to change blade is why I give this product 5 stars, its simple and quick to change a blade and its motor seems fine.
Only drawback is all Ryobi batteries are very expensive, take ages to charge and die very quickly.
Ok for DIY,but not great for a tradesman.

Of course, this is nonsense as a jigsaw is a useful but limited device — and a perfect item for cordless use.
First off let’s be clear here that a jigsaw does not negate the need for other cutting tools because frankly they are hopeless if you are trying to cut a straight line even with an edge to run against. If you are cutting thick materials, then you had better prepare yourself for a lot of hand planning afterwards because the cut will not be vertical. Those jigsaw blades bend and deform like a blade of grass in thick boards.
But, every now and again you need to cut a curve or an odd shaped hole when creating your Grand Design and for that purpose a jigsaw is king.
Even better one that does not have a cord to get in the way and just make life miserable. And the lack of a cord really works for this Ryobi tool because the way a jigsaw works means you don’t need a massive amount of torque which, is dependent upon voltage. Thus the 18V One+ battery — the 5AH one I used — is easily hefty enough for most of a day’s work using the jigsaw. That lack of power cord is such a wonderful thing because it makes this tool ten times more versatile.
The actual tool is well made from high quality materials. I say that being an owner of Ryobi tools for ten years over which, I’ve noticed a gentle increase in quality, range and target audience. When I bought my first Ryobi tool it was super cheap and cheerful and aimed just above the bargain bin level. Now? It’s easily the match of decent mid-range stuff from the likes of Bosch and DeWalt. The plastics used are high end glass reinforced stuff and the manufacture is very good giving you a robust tool that will last quite a bit of abuse. I know. I’ve been beating mine to death for ten years on a renovation project and my original hard shiny plastic Ryobi drills are still working perfectly despite having been dropped from the roof on more than one occasion.
And there is probably a reason for the increase in quality — and price Ryobi is made by Techtronic Industries of Hong Kong who also own Milwaukee, AEG, Hoover and quite a few other higher end brands. No one is telling me that in the same factory they are making tools with entirely different components. From what I can see and feel, there is little to differentiate between Ryobi and Milwaukee apart from the eye searing yellow.
The plus side of the Early Learning Centre colour of the tool is that it’s easy to find
Best of all the batteries. They are big and bulky no doubt about it when you get the higher amp versions. But, they last well. I have one battery that despite being charged routinely for over ten years is still working well. In use they last just as long as Makita ones of similar AHr rating when I compare to my son’s tools who has his own business as an electrician.
In hand this jigsaw feels strong and has a bit of weight when a battery is fitted. This is a ‘Good Thing’ as it helps dampen out the vibrations and makes cutting easier.
There are four settings for the blade cutting — which simply boil down to how much the blade swings back and forth. There are little pictograms showing you which to choose but it’s not rocket science. The softer materials work well with the blade vibrating back and forth but as you get into the harder stuff like oak and then metals you simply dial that back or stop it.
The blades fit without requiring any tools which, to be fair most are today. Still, it’s nice to not have to worry about having the correct screwdriver with you.
Overall this is a great tool for the money if you have already bought into the Ryobi One+ battery system. It works well, is strong and cuts decently for a jigsaw without the aggro of a power cord.

An ideal tool to take outside where there is no lectric, worked well, good value for the price, it’s one of many Riobi tools I have
Bought into the Ryobi family, and so pleased with this jigsaw. Solid weighty and well made. It cuts nicely, and with the speed control it give you good control. Of coarse the lack of a cord, really makes life easier.
The 10 TPI blade that comes with it gives a very clean cut in 28mm contiboard.
I’m using 5 Amh non original batteries and charger, much cheaper and excellent performance. Yes I’d recomend, and the colour is great to with the 100+ battery , think this system will be around for a while.

Great bit of kit. Another addition to my Ryobi ONE+ collection. Simple to set up and get going. Comes with a single blade which so far has worked well. I’m a novice DIY’er, but it’s so simple to use that I’ve started cutting mitred corners using the ability to change the angle of the foot. Would definitely recommend.
Decent addition to the Ryobi cordless family.
Ryobi’s own blades are pricey though.
Very good, perfect addition to my expanding ONE+ tools. Could feel a bit have in the hand after some time but that’s the price to pay for going cordless. this applies to vertical work though.
Great jigsaw at its price I already have a few in this range so had a battery already for i
Work well easy to use and great if have other Ryboi as battery interchangeable
Delivered a day early. Assembled straight away and used on my lockdown project. Cut perfectly. Would definitely recommend.
didnt expect it to perform as good as my corded but it out performed , does a good job and so handy being cordless
With the 5 amp batteries it is a little heavier than a corded saw but not too heavy.

Excellent tool…happy for purchase..and gift wrap was ideal…hi..thanks
Great jigsaw, solid construction and plenty of speed range for different materials. Another great addition to my Ryobi One+ range of tools.
I had to get replacement, but 2nd one is amazing use it on a professional level and brilliant.
Since buying a drill and driver set about 7 years ago I have always bought Ryobi 1 tools so I can use the same batteries. So far I have not been disappointed and the Jig Saw is every bit a good as the Bosch one I replaced.
Great jigsaw easy to hold and use with a light and speed adjustment, I have several Ryobi products so its easy to juggle around with only a few batteries, small gripe, I do think they could have supplied a set of blades instead of the one.

Great bit of kit , light to handle easy to use and the pointer and light really allow you to see where your cutting
Used a 4ah battery with mine and managed to go all day on the battery doing the cuts I needed
Well pleased with it , but make sure you’ve got a large battery on i

First time diyer here and needed something to cut a few boards down to size. It was a toss up between a circular saw and a jigsaw and I’d heard horror stories of jigsaws and the wiggly wavy lines they make and the rough cuts but this little thing, rocks.
I bought a 5AH battery as a separate item to go with it and the thing made very short work of double melamine coated 18mm chipboard including a short length of the same chipboard along with the underlying 18mm compressed bamboo top of my workmate after a bit of a clamping mishap.
Set to pendulum level 3, squeeze the trigger, engage the workpiece and slow… The LED light lit my pencil lines just great, and while the blower feature is a bit weedy, it worked enough to let me follow my marks.
So the cons… Well the biggest one is that this is the older model. A fixed pressed steel base, that allows you to do mitre cuts but requires you to use an Allen key that requires a knight of Camelot to release it from the on-tool storage, only one who is true of heart may use the key, or someone with the strength of a professional tug of war team, that thing just does not want to budge if it’s inserted in there.
It would be nice if Ryobi actually wrote the year or model variation/version number in the description of the item. So if you want brushless, height adjustable/bladesaver, and toolless angles… Buy the 130ish one.
Otherwise this one is basic but does the job just great.

Although the best price I could find, I still think they charge a premium price for the usability of no cable. Great quality though.
Cuts very well, worktops to tree branches , accurate where you need accuracy and fast when you need fast.
great machine once I got used to the cut , battery life not bad with this eithe
Only used a few times but so far as like all my other ryobi one + tools its superb.
purchased for some garden wood work SSoooo glad I did made short work of all the cutting, highly recommend.
The tool worked well and was value for the money
Powerful jig saw and does the job well. Ryobi are good mid range home use tools.
Good Tool works very well, now added to my collection of tools.
Used this for general DIY & a building project. Very impressed with it. This cuts twice as fast as my old Ryobi corded jigsaw & the battery life is excellent with a 5mh battery. Someone said this doesn’t cut straight but I’ve had no issues at all in 18mm chipboard free hand. The only negative thing I have to say is with a 5mh battery it’s a bit heavy but that’s kinda expected.

Struggled on hardwoods like oak etc, yet to try proper bi metal blades, but overall made short work of 18mm hardwood ply on some real intricate stencils.
Better price than B&Q. Genuine product and works as well as a corded one
Not given jigsaw any hard work yet but it seems ok, maybe a bit heavy but I’m used to a conventional corded one
As described but there was only one blade in box, the description said there would be two
A very efficient and accurate jigsaw. I am impressed by Ryobi tools in general absolutely brilliant got the DIY’er!
Lasts long enough with my little 1.5ah bat to get a job done, more powerful than I thought going wireless would be. Love i
Bought for my partner during home renovations. He loves this! Very happy man.
Brilliant so glad I decided to buy it would recommend to anyone
Cuts brilliantly and cleanly. Highly recommend, especially for the price.
Awesome tool, very easy to use for a novice like me. Very happy
Works as expected, Would recommend the larger batteries for anything more than a few cuts.
Another great product from ryobi getting a good collection of one + tools think I’ll need to invest in a bigger amp/ hour battery
The tool itself is good and comes with a couple of blades ( i bought extra but have predominately used the ones in the box). Both the unit and the blades seem of good quality and i think it’ll have good longevity to them. The saw has multiple speed settings dependant on the material and its quite easily to switch this up or down. I’d say all in all its quite a decent piece of kit.

Excellent item. Be aware you need a higher amp lipo battery for this to perform at its best. 4amps
would advise a 3 AH battery i used a 1.5 AH it did the job but would sometimes struggle. this is the first time i have had a cordless jigsaw and has opened my eyes and now i Owen quiet a few Ryobi one items and so glade i took the plunge.
Fortunately my Dad who knows about these things was around to advise, and we worked it out. But really, this should not have been necessary. Fair enough having diagrams for your exercise bike or lego set, but not with something that could cut your fingers off if you make a mistake.
I haven’t got anything else to compare it with, but it did the job, and is a very useful gadget. Am still rather scared of it though, especially as there is no safety mechanism to stop it running if you pick it up and accidentally hit the power button. As a precaution I take the battery out whenever I’m not using it.
It would also have been good if it had come with a case, as storing it in its cardboard box is not ideal. But I guess at 60 you can’t have everything!
a good addition to my ryobi collection love it thanks
Since no other reviewer seems to mention the out of the box experience….here we go.
It does take normal T blades. Although the two supplied wood blades look totally different, with a little U cutout at the top and a hole in the top section. T blades do fit fine (she says after buying the recommended Ryobi set after doubtful comments on these reviews). It’s all to do with the fitting method. First of all REMOVE THE BATTERY. Turn the black lever on the shank until it lines up with the front and shove the blade in firmly before you release. It is possible to push the lever too far over to insert the blade. If you are taking a blade out, grip it before you turn the release button or the spring will shoot it a short distance.
It needs storing without the battery IMHO for safety.
Speed is the plus minus button, with three settings
Angle is the 0 to 3 setting, with some helpful pictures on the drill body to adjust to the material being cut.
The allen key to adjust the foot is stored at the back of the drill.
I can’t see an anti splinter guide available….its a big hole to fill.
I was however able to attach my old Bosch cutting guide easily. It has a 9mm wide rule and a little clamp with a screw and two claws that grip the edge of the jigsaw foot/shoe. The Ryobi one looks to be the usual unobtainable spares.
Excellent product, Ryobi 1+ system tools are perfect for general DIY jobs
Very well balanced , amazing feel grip, comes with a couple of weird looking blades. At first I thought these were designed especially for Ryobi jig saws then I tried a regular ‘t’ blade, it fits but I thought not very comfortably.
I’ve taken to Ryobi. Nice looking products, great batteries, good quality tools. a worthy addition to anyones tool collectio
PRODUCT WORKS WELL, WILL DEFINATELY USE THIS SUPPLIER AGAIN WHEN THE NEED ARISES. WOULD RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY WITHOUT HESITATION.
have used the tool and find it ok to use with the 4amp battery
having the batteries already, you simply can not go wrong with this.. well built and easy to use.
Excellent product. For the price and quality this appears to be up there with the more expensive products with ease. Even though cordless it still packs a punch and is easy to hold at an angle.
