Pros: Fit well. Great shoe laces system to get the perfect fit. Comfortable. Great for the trails. Water proof. Great price point. No blisters. Comfortable enough to run all day in.

Cons: Could be a bit heavy if your not used to trail running trainers.

Honestly these are possibly the best all round trail runner I’ve worn. They are super comfortable and I don’t suffer from blisters in them at all. I’ve run 100s of miles in them and there still going strong. I’ve trained and ran a 100km race in them. I highly rate them. They support the arch of the foot well giving them a sense of stability. Grip to the trails well. Bulky enough to give them lasting durability.

Conclusion: ultimately a comfortable running shoe. A shoe that’s a pleasure to run a long way in. To run all day in. Suitable all year around. Grips well. Durable to handle all terrain. I would highly recommend if your looking to buy a trail running trainer that’s priced competitively.

If your looking for a super light road running trainer then look elsewhere these are not for you.

I would highly recommend and think you will be pushed to find something better at the price point. I picked these up for 80. I will 100% be buying again.

Great trainers, replaced my second pair of XA Pro 3D GTX. Always found them in my current kit lost as an essential, but never the comfiest of things. After 10 years of abuse they gave in. Not wanting to stray from the brand, went for the lighter Speedcross 4 GTX & they’re perfect for a mixture of lighter & shorter fell runs, Lake District walks & chasing after man’s best friend.

Salomon Adidas sizes run small, so always go AT LEAST half a size up, generally as a rule .5 up on Salomon will suffice. If you have a chubby foot, forget any Salomon footwear.

I used to be a semi-pro distance/terrain runner, I wish I had these back then…. Ample support, plenty of grip and the “lace” mech is perfect. Got these at around 50 which is a good price. Just make sure when you order that you order a 1/2 size bigger as they are just a lil snug.

Mi sono trovato strabene in tutti i percorsi, asfalto, sterrato, pietraie, fango, acqua, mai problemi e piede sempre ok (col calze adeguate, ovvio).
    Ottimo prodotto

I tried the shoes on and they were a great fit. However I noticed on the left shoe at the base of the laces, the stitching appeared to be starting to stretch and was looking like it may come apart. So I took them off as not to make it worse.
If a another pair could be sent that would be great .

These are my fave training shoes at the moment. Really good fit, comfortable and support my foot structure really well. I find them great on the flat, uphill and downhill. The grip the tread provides is second to none. Quick lace up and easily off at the end of a session. Highly recommended. They even smell nice when new, want to k ow what they smell like? Buy a pair and smell em

Mountain running, forests, hills, technical terrain. Second pair of Speedcross 4s. First pair lasted 3 years and 100s of km of various terrain. New ones are more comfortable and better support for my arches. Not tested the waterproofing yet as the weather is dry. Have never, ever, lost traction on a slope with these shoes. I looked at some of the other newer entries to the market but these were great value at 71, they last and they just work.

Bought this due to seeing them for a fantastic price. The quality is definitely there and they certainly distinguish themselves from a typically 30 pair of running trainers. The “laces” I thought might be a problem, but in fact I far prefer them over typical laces, they keep a solid tightness until you release them, even over a long run, I didn’t feel like they were loosing up.
They fit perfectly (size 10) and the insole fits my foot arch very nicely (normal arched feet) and overall feel perfect on my feet.
These are clearly intended for off road / trail running due to the tread. However, having done some street runs with them, I felt steady and had plenty of grip in dry and wet. They however perform exceptionally on a trail surfaces, I’m sure their are better suited versions of these shoes for road runs if that’s the only purpose you need them.
Overall, highly recommend. I’m not sure I’d pay over 100 for them as that seem to be their retail price, but certainly worth it below that price.

I bought these mainly for walking and with a need for water resistance.
I trail run also but already have a trail shoe I find more suited to me.
Anyway, so far (1week) these have been great. I’ve owned the non water resistant version before and know the fit. Recommend you buy at least a 0.5 size larger. I’m a 9/9.5 and bought a UK 10.
We’ve had a lot of snow this week so water resistance tested and absolutely 100% dry.
I also did a very snow trail run on hard compact snow and grip was excellent (and dry feet) no slips or falls in 7mile run. Hard rubber sole on ice is treacherous though.
I moved away from Speedcross trail shoes previously because I prefer a more cushioned sole. Running with these in the snow was perfect though. I’ll revert to my Hoka’s when the snow is gone. Only 4 stars because I’ve only had them a week and you never know…

Wer 43 brauch sollte 44 kaufen.

I have the Speedcross 4’s, non gortex version and ran with them all year. Decided to get another pair as the lugs were starting to wear and went for these gortex versions, as the price was really good.
Same sole, same great traction but feel like there is slightly more volume than the non-gortex versions in the same size. Not a big deal, just tighten them more, but the performance is just as good, and warmer due to the gortex membrane.
My go to trail running shoe

Fantastic on muddy paths / trails / Fields, 2nd pair off these, I simply destroyed the old pair, went with the GTX version as I brought this at start of winter, hard decision if GTX or not as nothing is waterproof once the water gets to your ankles.
They are an off road trail shoe, and do offer excellent grip in mud and soft ground, on the reverse they are not a road shoe and more than a couple of miles on a road and it becomes jarring.

Der Speedcross Vario ist mittlerweile mein Wanderschuh Nr. 1 geworden. Leicht, bequem, wasserdicht, gutes Profil also eigentlich alles was man braucht.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally like these off-road shoes. Upped the choice for waterproofing this time since the last pair I had weren’t, and given they got more use for dog walking than running, it was a problem.

They grip well (too well on Tarmac if I’m honest – rolled my ankle first time out), but that’s hardly a criticism of the shoe.

The only point I’d mention is sizing – I went with the guide and bought 1/2 size up. If anything, they are slightly too big – wished I’d gotten the smaller size to try out first, and not simply headed out into the mud with the ones I now have.

Last pair lasted 2 years with regular use, but I’d say they are probably toast after 18 months (the grip obviously wears flat and you have as much traction as a banana skin the

****I returned this product only because it was not what I was after so review is based on opinion without wearing****
First impressions were that these trail shoes are extremely well made and robust. They fit slightly small but some may find sizing up too much; I tried both 10.5 and 11 (usually a 10.5) and I couldn’t decide which would better. The shoe is self appears to offer extremely good protection through the sole and the upper and is very firm all round (I was looking for a light rail shoe like the Soloman Alphacross Blast).

1st time buying Salomon shoes, I regularly run 5-10km in parkrun / tough mudder etc – this shoe can do it all. No issues on slippery surfaces as the lugs grip in soft ground. Cushioned sufficiently for running on roads though more at home trail running offroad, or in wet conditions. The easy lace toggle provided is much easier than trying to undo tightly tied laces after a hard run. Very happy and will be sticking with this brand in the future.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI like these for trail and general use. Good snug fit and novel lacing system which makes them easy to get on and off. Do not feel quite as breathable as they could but this is expected if you want shoes that are fully waterproof.
