Very tough cases. Have used same model for years and occasionally they get damaged by the airline or in one case wheel came off. But overall really happy with these and very good value for money + bright colours!
This case is so light and easy to manoeuvre although I have yet to try it out jam packed packed for a long haul trip. There is no wasted space inside the case and I use packing cubes which fit perfectly.
These are great cases. We have 2. They’ve been filled full and battered about so much but they’re still in tact. Wheels are great, no problems (I was worried they might buckle but they didn’t). Would recommend
Bought this to go with the same item that we already own. Nice spinner case that with Samsonite quality. The plastic is quite flexible but we have never had any problems with our old case so know this one will be just as good.
I am a very frequent traveller due to work and I work in some pretty inhospitable places. I have used these Samsonite cases for a number of years without trouble except in one instance when baggae handling manage to break two castors. This smaller version of what I already use is as sturdy as my past cases and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see their gear arrive in one piece at it’s final destinatio
It’s a good size for overseas travel
Plenty of room
Good zip up compartment inside to stop clothes etc going everywhere
Wheels along nicely
Only had it for one trip but happy with i
Always use Samsonite suitcases for our holidays now. Not the cheapest or the dearest but does the job perfectly.
I love the semi-hard-shell concept! It’s light and self-healing with remarkable capacity! Feels sturdy enough!
It provides enough protection for your goods and clothing!
After registration, you receive five years warranty. What else do you need?!?
I had this suitcase in colour orange and very happy with it. Ordered one in black – with this new on, the outside of the suitcase has become so scratched right after first trip..a bit disappointing, however, it mights be a colour issue, it shows more on black.
got 2 spinner suitcases in the past 12 months – both are top quality
I’ve just bought the 81x55x35 size, which looks huge as I’m only used to cabin size! I’ve got the cabin sized S’cure and love it so hoping this will be as good.
I noticed lots of people are complaining about the lock and no instructions. Just a heads-up… the Samsonite video about the locking mechanism is on the Amazon page, just above these reviews.
Have just used it the once so far, so can’t speak on longevity, but so far has been great, particularly like the ease at which the suitcase rolls with the spinner wheels
The case looks good and is light. I needed a case with a very hard shell to cope with the thousands of miles travelling. Although it looks good it shell is quite flexible and can be pushed in, not really suitable to carry fragile items.
Have not used it yet but appears to be a good solid case.
International trip – luxury and safari and it was fantastic. A little scratched and scuffed but still looks great and the wheels roll well on most surfaces except pebbles! I am pleased I went for black colour as it doesn’t show wearmarks. Just tie a bright colour ribbon on the handle during transit as everyone has a black case! The excellent seal means it’s dust free after the bush track to remote safari lodge. I put in my own personal 3 digit security pin and that worked so well for peace of mind. No risk of zips being split and content spilling out and being stolen or los
We have a couple of Samsonite hard suitcases that we bought new about 16 years back. To say that they are well traveled is an understatement! In all their travels over the years, the only problem was a side flap lock got damaged by airport luggage handlers. Got in touch with Samsonite and the damaged part was quickly sent out to replace.
There are lots of cheaper cases out there but the amount of abuse these older cases have taken over time is testament to their quality.
The new Samsonite swivel case we purchased is more convenient for us now with the swivel wheels and are lighter in weight but still excellent quality. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. If you are a frequent flyer or travel a lot, it’s money well spent.
This suitcase seems robust; its the 5th one I’ve bought in 12 months. Let’s see how long it lasts being mauled by the baggage handling system at LHR.
We had a pair of Samsonite hard side cases for probably close to 20 years, but declining luggage allowances on many airlines meant they just became too heavy to use. We reluctantly changed to a pair of Antler soft sided expandable cases a few years ago, but they simply don’t last, so here we are, back in the world of Samsonite hard sides.
We chose these particular cases for their clamshell locking system. It’s the same system as on our previous Samsonites and we’ve found it to be durable, reliable and 100% waterproof. For me, the weak point of any case is the zip; they’re likely to be the thing that breaks first, they’re easy for a thief to get through and they’re not waterproof. These cases are little more than half the weight of our previous Samsonites (although they do weigh a kilo or so more than our soft sides), they’re incredibly manoeuvrable and they look great. The internal dividers make them easy to pack and the lack or lining in the shells will help with long-term durability.
Amazon offered these at the lowest price we could find and we got them on 5 months interest free (although, curiously, you can only buy one on interest free, so the wife and I had to buy one each!).
Love my Samsonite suitcases. These self locking bags are the best. While not that light in weight, they close securely and protect items inside really well. Delighted with the size and durability of the case. Highly recommend.
I chose this because I knew polypropylene was a very robust material, hoping it would survive longer than other materials such as PCB and polycarbonate.
In fact, I have been using it for 10 years, and there’s no problem so far.
(More precisely, I have been using size L for 10 years, and M for 8 years.)
Unfortunately, S’Cure line is now discontinued. I recommend you to get one while it lasts. It is definitely worth it.
Xmas present purchase, having used Samsonite since our original Oyster cases purchased in1988 and benefiting from the excellent warrenty support provided ie replacement wheels for the original cases, followed by broken wheels and handle more recently pre covid for the replacement spinners due to baggage handling abuse made for easy decision on which brand case to gift. Samsonite Cases are tough and durable but when damaged by loaders abuse can be repaired.
NO INSTRUCTION for side closures and TSA lock, what nonsense in the name of being ‘GREEN’.
‘No Printed Instruction’ is counter productive, similar to cleaning dishes in a bowl of soapy water that is often mirky, greasy and full of food bits, and then NOT bothering to rinse the soapy dishes with clean running water because you want to save money or be ‘green’. While a piece of printed card is ‘saved’ by the manufacturer, consumers are forced to waste time and use electricity to hunt down the instructions on their device.
As a consumer, I EXPECT instructions to be with the item, this is NOT asking much. I do NOT want the hassle of scanning the QR code to find other information, I am not particularly tech obsessed and not glued to my phone 24/7. Likewise, I really don’t need an app for everything!!
As a result of this ‘Green’ madness, I had to waste time making my own document with instructions for future reference. I also discovered that the 2 side closures must also be slid downwards after they are latched, otherwise, they can become easily unlatched. No matter how intuitive the feature may appear, this crucial safety information should be provided as part of the instructions to avoid any catastrophic accident.
Yes, videos are helpful as a backup option, but lack of printed instructions with the product is UNACCEPTABLE.
Just come back from a week in Crete and used the suitcase for the first time. The case holds an enormous amount and one could, very easily, go overweight. Our limit was 22Kg and we came in at 21.8Kg, but had enough clothes etc for both of us. The locking mechanism is secure and is easy to set up. The case was very easy to move about on it’s wheels. It is a heavy case so beware when lifting! It has survived the trip to Crete and my wife and I are very happy with our purchase.
ecently took this to america and it was lightweight and easy to move about, i actually used it to sit on when waiting in the check out que. As expected it got thrown about a bit and was slightly dinted when i collected it from the airport. Which corrected it self once i opened it and retuned to the original case i had no other problems when traveling home.
Having owned Samsonite cases before we needed a set more up to date with TSA locks, these cases are ok but not a patch on the older in my opion more sturdy cases, in saying that these are easy to move around but not so easy to man handle and do take up more room when transporting, they are light weight for a solid case but you have to be careful not to overfill due to weight restricions on some airlines
OverallI really like the suitcase. Seems to be well made and easy to use when full.
My only small gripe is it isn’t easy to see the numbers on the lock and sometimes that main lock can sticks shut. A light tap and seems to do something as it works ok after that.
I packed the suitcase up till 30kg, and it still handled beautifully, gliding along beside me. It handles very easy, even when heavily packed. I went through two airports and a city centre twice.
One minus is the clumsy finish on the end-hinges – initially I thought a bit had splintered/knocked off, but then realised it looked the same on the other side.
Although the lock did work well, I get a bit nervous about it not working one day.
It has a few scratches after my travels, but still looks good.
After so many garbage and expensive zipped cases ruined in just one journey over the last 5 years I researched a hard case shell with clamps not stupid zips, this just superb, a 21st century upgrade on my samsonite I purchased in a shop (yes it was 1995 and in Bolton) which is still absolutely perfect.
Summary= If you want a strong large case this is the one, jfdi
Love this. I have just packed for holidays. 21kg and still lots of room left if I wanted to pack more. Solid construction and smooth action on the wheels. My Son has now bought one too.
This case is brilliant – everything you would expect from a Samsonite case – so versatile with strapping to hold items on one half and a zipped cover to hold items in the other half
I’ve had a very pretty Ted Baker case for hand luggage but was so impractical to pack and find items snd didn’t hold as much
Solid, easy to wheel – overall so good that everyone else in the family has asked me to order one for them
Excellent quality. Fast delivery. I bought Navy, much nicer colour and material than the picture shows. Also the lock is great, so much easier than using a zip. Will see if it lasts after my trip. I also checked the price on Samsonite website, it seems this particular one was not on sale. Bargain! The suitcase was very well packed, 2 boxes, double protection. Excellent!
Great product. Is probably as large as a suitcase can be, but with a family of 5 that is very much needed. No zippers to close, rather 3 locking buckles that work really well after you get used the them. I ordered a 2nd slightly smaller size after using this one for a few trips.
Durable case that has great manoeuvrability and can accommodate a fair bit.
Bought this item on the “Black Friday” sales and came up as great value.

Very happy with this suitcase. Allows me to own the airport treadmills even with a 25kg suitcase in tow! One thing to take into consideration for any neat freaks out there is that the bag will likely get scuffed over time due to the material being plastic. I really don’t care as long as the contents inside are safe but thought it worth mentioning. Probably best to go with darker colours – I really like the dark blue!
Easy to handle a replacement for an old case which I had for 20 years
I just purchased this luggage from Amazon. I am really satisfied with how my parcel arrived – suitcase looking very sturdy and also nice, to every little detail. The material looks really well-manufactured, the wheels are so easy to maneuvre and the style of the product is also great!
The locks seem also very secure and easy to use – probably much more hassle-free than the zippers, or extra padlocks. I have bought many suitcases over the years as I travel often, and this one seems to be worth of her money more than any other. Can’t wait to use it for my next trip!

This is the second of this suitcase I have bought. I haven’t yet used this second one, but it arrived faster than stated. My original one has been so easy to manoeuvre and you can pack so much in it. I wouldn’t buy bigger as I wouldn’t get 2 in my carboot (Golf) and may go over the limit for standard luggage weight nowadays.
Bought it as an addition to our now ageing classic Samsonite plastic case. It’s a nice update, more lightweight than our old one and pretty much the same storage. Certainly strong and sturdy after a long haul flight. Very pleased, i’ve always liked the brand. It’s dependable.
I’m a frequent traveller and has a need for a really good luggage to keep up with my adventures. I recently bought this one as a replacement for the one I used to have that was damaged the last time I went abroad. Very happy with the quality and the space really. Its big enough for 2 week+ worth of clothes. Very satisfied with Samsonite.
Easy to maneuver
Lightweight
But…prob not for ppl like me who over pack…the locks have to align and even a flimsy item can stop it
That’s the only irritating part.
Used a number of times but I don’t take it abroad anymore for the above reason.
very light and strong case, easy to pull. Enough space.
Secure and sturdy – i have several of these suitcases in different sizes. As a frequent traveller i never worry about the bag breaking at all, good capacity. I use combined with packing cube bags for ease.
These are the BEST suitcases around.
The have a good build, and have a complete all around seal.
Do not buy suitcases with a Zip: all it takes is a ball point pen to open the zip with little pressure.
These are nice, simple and strong cases, in all sizes. We already have 4 of them….
The best, I bought this suitcase for my one and only, very difficult to please but likes this. On our holiday a couple of weeks ago when we arrived there was what looked like a dent but when we opened it, it just snapped back.
I recommend this and for the price it’s worth i
Light and easy to handle, with a quality feel. The top surface feels a little flimsy at first, as it can be easily pressed in and out. However, I road tested the case on a long-haul to South Africa and it was excellent. The ‘give’ in the lid ensures that it doesn’t get dented, as it springs back into shape. Surface texture also seems to resist marks (unlike the hard shiny cases). A zipped upper compartment allows you to keep items separate from the main body of the case, but apart from a narrow zipped pocket which runs the length of the main body of the case, there is little additional equipment inside, keeping weight to a minimum. The closures and locking system feel solid and secure and there is a watertight seal around the whole of case to prevent water ingress. I chose a case without a zip closure, as these are always the first part to fail and I have had a couple of disasters with them. This case feels very secure. The wheels are efficient and do not stick out to far, so there is less risk of them getting damaged than on some makes. In the final analysis, you get what you pay for and Samsonite is worth the money.

This suitcase is clearly superior to the cheaper brands you’ll find on Amazon; Cool life, aerolite and amazon basics e.g. which feel flimsy in comparison, as do the suitcases you can pick up cheaper in TK Maxx. But for 2.5 times the price I did expect it to feel a little sturdier than it does. I guess light weight is more important now with baggage allowances being quite strict. Overall I’m satisfied and it feels like a suitcase that’ll serve me well for a several years but I’ve given it 4 stars because it feels like a relatively simple product like this should be cheaper.
I use this case to transport my tools safely in the hold, it’s very flexible if multiple cases are a trolley it Very easy to Manoeuvre around the airport. Done about 6 return trips so Far & nothing has broken yet.

Used these 12 times this year already.
Seem to be the best hard case I’ve had in 8 years of travelling 60 flights a year.
The airlines haven’t managed to break them yet. But we shall see.
The colour will become marked and scratched in 1 trip. So really wish I’d of got a darker one now. But I purchased covers to protect.
Had larger version. Delighted with product. Easier than a rucksack

Excellent Suitcase! The red one can’t be missed amongst all the black suitcase.
Superb product. Much better than cases that cost three times as much. I am a regular long haul flyer and this case is very robust and so much better than the Rimowa that got scratched and dented after just a few trips. I like the locks too rather than zips

Great case. Strong, sturdy and really easy to maneuver. Locking mechanism is strong and there is loads of space internally. Can’t fault it one bit.

Used this suitcase to travel to the US. It was a good suitcase and everything feels good. The only issue is the locking mechanism feels a little funny as (this may just be my one) when you put in your first number, the next 2 appear to “jump” into place as you scroll past them.

Lovely quality. Very well built. Manoeuvres easily on wheels even when full. Handles on two sides for easy lifting out of car etc. Plenty of room to store all your things for a week’s holiday. It has a modern style and seems very durable.

It is nice bag. Worth of money. Let’s hope airport staff will be gentle with handling.

Far superior locks and hinge rather than old fashioned zip fasteners, am delighted with this suitcase
