Very tough cases. Have used same model for years and occasionally they get damaged by the airline or in one case wheel came off. But overall really happy with these and very good value for money + bright colours!
This case is so light and easy to manoeuvre although I have yet to try it out jam packed packed for a long haul trip. There is no wasted space inside the case and I use packing cubes which fit perfectly.
These are great cases. We have 2. They’ve been filled full and battered about so much but they’re still in tact. Wheels are great, no problems (I was worried they might buckle but they didn’t). Would recommend
Bought this to go with the same item that we already own. Nice spinner case that with Samsonite quality. The plastic is quite flexible but we have never had any problems with our old case so know this one will be just as good.
I am a very frequent traveller due to work and I work in some pretty inhospitable places. I have used these Samsonite cases for a number of years without trouble except in one instance when baggae handling manage to break two castors. This smaller version of what I already use is as sturdy as my past cases and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see their gear arrive in one piece at it’s final destinatio
Having purchased Samsonite suitcases in the past, I know they are built to last. It’s not uncommon for the same suitcase to still be going fifteen years later. After trying an inferior brand, I have decided to return to Samsonite. There is a reason why most major Middle Eastern carriers issue Samsonite suitcases to their crew. They last.
I find polycarbonate cases though very light tend to damage easily, hence I much prefer polyproylene — which ironically tends to be cheaper than polycarbonate. This case is very light though, plus a Samsonite. At the price point I got it for I definitely would repeat buy if another such case was required.
We got this as I already have one and the other half wanted the same one in a pretty colour! Quality is fantastic, as Samsonite tend to be, already taken it on a holiday and it was perfect. Amazing price too, going to buy another soon!
It’s a good size for overseas travel
Plenty of room
Good zip up compartment inside to stop clothes etc going everywhere
Wheels along nicely
Only had it for one trip but happy with i
Always use Samsonite suitcases for our holidays now. Not the cheapest or the dearest but does the job perfectly.
I love the semi-hard-shell concept! It’s light and self-healing with remarkable capacity! Feels sturdy enough!
It provides enough protection for your goods and clothing!
After registration, you receive five years warranty. What else do you need?!?
I had this suitcase in colour orange and very happy with it. Ordered one in black – with this new on, the outside of the suitcase has become so scratched right after first trip..a bit disappointing, however, it mights be a colour issue, it shows more on black.
got 2 spinner suitcases in the past 12 months – both are top quality
I’ve just bought the 81x55x35 size, which looks huge as I’m only used to cabin size! I’ve got the cabin sized S’cure and love it so hoping this will be as good.
I noticed lots of people are complaining about the lock and no instructions. Just a heads-up… the Samsonite video about the locking mechanism is on the Amazon page, just above these reviews.
Have just used it the once so far, so can’t speak on longevity, but so far has been great, particularly like the ease at which the suitcase rolls with the spinner wheels
The case looks good and is light. I needed a case with a very hard shell to cope with the thousands of miles travelling. Although it looks good it shell is quite flexible and can be pushed in, not really suitable to carry fragile items.
Have not used it yet but appears to be a good solid case.
International trip – luxury and safari and it was fantastic. A little scratched and scuffed but still looks great and the wheels roll well on most surfaces except pebbles! I am pleased I went for black colour as it doesn’t show wearmarks. Just tie a bright colour ribbon on the handle during transit as everyone has a black case! The excellent seal means it’s dust free after the bush track to remote safari lodge. I put in my own personal 3 digit security pin and that worked so well for peace of mind. No risk of zips being split and content spilling out and being stolen or los
We have a couple of Samsonite hard suitcases that we bought new about 16 years back. To say that they are well traveled is an understatement! In all their travels over the years, the only problem was a side flap lock got damaged by airport luggage handlers. Got in touch with Samsonite and the damaged part was quickly sent out to replace.
There are lots of cheaper cases out there but the amount of abuse these older cases have taken over time is testament to their quality.
The new Samsonite swivel case we purchased is more convenient for us now with the swivel wheels and are lighter in weight but still excellent quality. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. If you are a frequent flyer or travel a lot, it’s money well spent.
This suitcase seems robust; its the 5th one I’ve bought in 12 months. Let’s see how long it lasts being mauled by the baggage handling system at LHR.
We had a pair of Samsonite hard side cases for probably close to 20 years, but declining luggage allowances on many airlines meant they just became too heavy to use. We reluctantly changed to a pair of Antler soft sided expandable cases a few years ago, but they simply don’t last, so here we are, back in the world of Samsonite hard sides.
We chose these particular cases for their clamshell locking system. It’s the same system as on our previous Samsonites and we’ve found it to be durable, reliable and 100% waterproof. For me, the weak point of any case is the zip; they’re likely to be the thing that breaks first, they’re easy for a thief to get through and they’re not waterproof. These cases are little more than half the weight of our previous Samsonites (although they do weigh a kilo or so more than our soft sides), they’re incredibly manoeuvrable and they look great. The internal dividers make them easy to pack and the lack or lining in the shells will help with long-term durability.
Amazon offered these at the lowest price we could find and we got them on 5 months interest free (although, curiously, you can only buy one on interest free, so the wife and I had to buy one each!).
Love my Samsonite suitcases. These self locking bags are the best. While not that light in weight, they close securely and protect items inside really well. Delighted with the size and durability of the case. Highly recommend.
I chose this because I knew polypropylene was a very robust material, hoping it would survive longer than other materials such as PCB and polycarbonate.
In fact, I have been using it for 10 years, and there’s no problem so far.
(More precisely, I have been using size L for 10 years, and M for 8 years.)
Unfortunately, S’Cure line is now discontinued. I recommend you to get one while it lasts. It is definitely worth it.
Xmas present purchase, having used Samsonite since our original Oyster cases purchased in1988 and benefiting from the excellent warrenty support provided ie replacement wheels for the original cases, followed by broken wheels and handle more recently pre covid for the replacement spinners due to baggage handling abuse made for easy decision on which brand case to gift. Samsonite Cases are tough and durable but when damaged by loaders abuse can be repaired.
NO INSTRUCTION for side closures and TSA lock, what nonsense in the name of being ‘GREEN’.
‘No Printed Instruction’ is counter productive, similar to cleaning dishes in a bowl of soapy water that is often mirky, greasy and full of food bits, and then NOT bothering to rinse the soapy dishes with clean running water because you want to save money or be ‘green’. While a piece of printed card is ‘saved’ by the manufacturer, consumers are forced to waste time and use electricity to hunt down the instructions on their device.
As a consumer, I EXPECT instructions to be with the item, this is NOT asking much. I do NOT want the hassle of scanning the QR code to find other information, I am not particularly tech obsessed and not glued to my phone 24/7. Likewise, I really don’t need an app for everything!!
As a result of this ‘Green’ madness, I had to waste time making my own document with instructions for future reference. I also discovered that the 2 side closures must also be slid downwards after they are latched, otherwise, they can become easily unlatched. No matter how intuitive the feature may appear, this crucial safety information should be provided as part of the instructions to avoid any catastrophic accident.
Yes, videos are helpful as a backup option, but lack of printed instructions with the product is UNACCEPTABLE.
Just come back from a week in Crete and used the suitcase for the first time. The case holds an enormous amount and one could, very easily, go overweight. Our limit was 22Kg and we came in at 21.8Kg, but had enough clothes etc for both of us. The locking mechanism is secure and is easy to set up. The case was very easy to move about on it’s wheels. It is a heavy case so beware when lifting! It has survived the trip to Crete and my wife and I are very happy with our purchase.
ecently took this to america and it was lightweight and easy to move about, i actually used it to sit on when waiting in the check out que. As expected it got thrown about a bit and was slightly dinted when i collected it from the airport. Which corrected it self once i opened it and retuned to the original case i had no other problems when traveling home.
Having owned Samsonite cases before we needed a set more up to date with TSA locks, these cases are ok but not a patch on the older in my opion more sturdy cases, in saying that these are easy to move around but not so easy to man handle and do take up more room when transporting, they are light weight for a solid case but you have to be careful not to overfill due to weight restricions on some airlines
Looks good – happy to review again if it lasts 5 years
Durable case that has great manoeuvrability and can accommodate a fair bit.
Bought this item on the “Black Friday” sales and came up as great value.

I’m a frequent traveller and this is the second of this model of suitcases that I’ve bought. I’ve had the previous one for three years and it done many meany flights. The case is tough and well designed. Definitely recommend it.

This is a a very large suitcase. perfect for cruising; though I’ve only used it on flights up to now.. It has performed without any issues and takes a load of stuff.
Very happy with this purchase, great investment! Light, spacious and sturdy. Did 8 long trips with it already and still looks like new. Perfect size for a month-long holidays. Had over 22kg in it and no problem. Only thing the numbers on the lock is difficult to see, I’m having a hard time unlocking it if it is on its side. But maybe it’s a good thing should someone else try unlock it. Anyway, I would highly recommend it.
Light and easy to handle, with a quality feel. The top surface feels a little flimsy at first, as it can be easily pressed in and out. However, I road tested the case on a long-haul to South Africa and it was excellent. The ‘give’ in the lid ensures that it doesn’t get dented, as it springs back into shape. Surface texture also seems to resist marks (unlike the hard shiny cases). A zipped upper compartment allows you to keep items separate from the main body of the case, but apart from a narrow zipped pocket which runs the length of the main body of the case, there is little additional equipment inside, keeping weight to a minimum. The closures and locking system feel solid and secure and there is a watertight seal around the whole of case to prevent water ingress. I chose a case without a zip closure, as these are always the first part to fail and I have had a couple of disasters with them. This case feels very secure. The wheels are efficient and do not stick out to far, so there is less risk of them getting damaged than on some makes. In the final analysis, you get what you pay for and Samsonite is worth the money.
I use this case to transport my tools safely in the hold, it’s very flexible if multiple cases are a trolley it Very easy to Manoeuvre around the airport. Done about 6 return trips so Far & nothing has broken yet.
Had larger version. Delighted with product. Easier than a rucksack

It’s such a nice and comfortable suitcase. Samsonite never disappoints
I stay away most weeks and this travels very well from train to tube to hotel. I bought this because my previous case would only travel sideways as long as I used my right hand… ridiculous! This one is what it should be, a spinner, either hand either direction, does what it should. Worth paying the extra for. My previous one was cheap and cheerful, never again! Would highly recommend.
Great case. Strong, sturdy and really easy to maneuver. Locking mechanism is strong and there is loads of space internally. Can’t fault it one bit.
Love Samsonite and great when I find a good price
Used this suitcase to travel to the US. It was a good suitcase and everything feels good. The only issue is the locking mechanism feels a little funny as (this may just be my one) when you put in your first number, the next 2 appear to “jump” into place as you scroll past them.
Excellent case, particularly for school trips (ok, not skiing trip). It contains a week of clothing if using ‘capsule’ wardrobe. I’d be happy to take it on a business trip, smart, convenient, robust and lightweight with a good locking mechanism.
From the of this suitcase screams quality, it is strong and light with no gimmicks it does what it says on the tin, it glides across the floor and is very responsive
I haven’t used it yet but it looks and feels good.

The suitcase is very light and simply designed. I had my doubts about the lack of pockets, but turned out actually to be more beneficial this way.
The locking system is easy to use, and I personally prefer locks over zipper. Wheels are sturdy and smooth. The handle is strong. It could extend a little further, but I guess this way it keeps the handle securer under the heavy weight. Very easy to clean.
The suitcase overall quality is excellent!
(I would also recommend getting a suitcasecover)
It is the reference for good reason. Ok, it will scratch quite a bit, but it will give you confidence in your travels. Very practical, durable and reasonably light.
I’ve bought two of these suitcases now. Really slimline carry on hand luggage which you can fit a lot in!

Light and strong suitcase with an easy to set combination lock.
Excellent suitcase, love this manufacturers strong suitcases. We still have one we bought 20 years ago, but it only has 2 wheels and a small pulling handle, but is still solid and functional. Replacement purchased due to 4 wheels and long pulling handle.
Frequent traveller and highly recommend these cases – no zip and hard wearing but very light.
Good sturdy suitcase, good locking system and easy to manoeuvre.
Excellent when long distances to drag. Wheels are very good and it turns in all directions
This comes everywhere with me. Great suitcase, solid build quality lots of room inside and looks great.

Very nice. Good to know this brand is still too notch
Needed a case for frequent family visits and as travelling alone it needed to be manoeuvrable and light.
Used once so far to fly abroad. Easy colour to spot on the carousel !
Lightweight. Roomy. Great lock.
Downside is that it is easily scratched.
I travel for work often for 1-2 nights, this is perfect. Light, the material expands slightly because is not a rigid one and gives you some kind of flexibility without compromising in sturdiness and safety. Still the best brand in this market.
Very robust design lightweight and easy to use. Good quality and perfect size for a week away. Instructions for setting the lock unnecessarily difficult and I had to search on line for help. It was actually dead easy once I knew how to do it.
Great compact case- although expensive. You definitely can’t overpack this as the locks will not close, but good carry-on case.

Whilst cheaper cases struggle and bend, go out of control when wheeling through airports and break, this Samsonite case is sturdy and reliable. Nothing more to say, other than I will be buying another at some time.
Light, easy to use and can take more than I thought it would …
Like the mobility of this suitcase as well as the flush, built-in locking system accessable by TSA Agents without damage to lock mechanism.

Good medium size case three point locking push pull and rotate with ease and weighs less than fabric of similar size
very satisfied
Amazing suitcase! Perfect in every way! Worth every Penney. I definitely recommend it to everyone.
Excellent, I now have both the large and medium sizes in this style case and they have proved to be easy to use, robust and functional.
