I bought this to replace a headset that I really wasn’t happy with the sound on. With the reputation of the company for quality sound I figured it was worth a pop finding a good deal on Amazon warehouse but for the price it lacks a lot of features and quality. It’s comfortable to wear with good quality padding but it feels plastic and cheap, very light to pick up. It only comes with a 2 year warranty too which kind of says it all for the build quality, when it costs way more than most gaming headsets you expect more.

It also doesn’t come with any attached volume controls for audio and mic volume for some reason and no controls to mute and unmute on the headset itself. Even the cheapo Chinese ones come with that stuff, why doesn’t this? You get it if you buy their amplifier and shell out another 150 or so but why does this not come with it as standard? There is a volume control on the side of one of the ear cups but it’s not particularly useful and no way to control the mic as standard.

The sound quality is good but lacking in bass as many others have said, I had to play around with my sound card settings just to get the bass to appear in the mix and some buying this won’t have that option. Other than that it’s great quality but it feels like you’re paying for their proprietary parts and nothing else. Not sure who I’d recommend it to really unless they are a super geek for the brand and the sound it produces but I don’t think this is particularly the best thing they ever put out either.

The main good thing is it doesn’t require some software to use the features like many brands today. Logitech make great headsets with better sound and features than this but their G-Hub software is a joke. Same for Razer and their software that is required just to use the headset properly.

Great sound, coming off astro a40s to these was weird at first but the sound of these are far better, you don’t really have to mess with eq settings with these unlike the astros.

Comfort gets a 4 star only cos it has a bit of pressure around the top of the jaw, I heard it gets way more comfortable woth use.

Tight on the top, otherwise sound quality is incredible. Build quality is very good, premium feeling. You get what you pay for. Top tie

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI was happily using gen 3 Astro A50’s until the amp connection broke and I couldn’t replace or fix it. I loved that headset for about 5 years it went strong. But one thing I didn’t love was the mic. It just couldn’t handle my loud voice and would cut my voice out a lot. So I became very OCD about finding a new sturdy headset with a good mic, with no amp to break.

After weeks of researching and being stuck with earphones I just had to take the plunge. Some reviews for this headset were great and others were meh. I was worried about it not being comfy and wasting so much money. But I needed a new headset and it definitely looked sturdy and the mic sounded great. I just prayed I wouldn’t regret it.

After having it for almost 2 months now, I love it! At the beginning I had a problem not being able to use the mic through pc. But it worked perfectly on console. I eventually got it working by disabling quick start. It was a pain but the headset was innocent in that scenario.

I definitely love the mic, it’s awesome for a headset. I’m no longer embarrassed about it and it doesn’t cut out my voice, I sound clear and my accent is heard better. The noise cancellation is awesome, the only background noise I’ll hear is things such as the doorbell. I hear my own voice slightly, not through the mic. I actually love the bulky look of the headset. It was slightly uncomfortable to wear for maybe 2 weeks, I felt a bit of pressure under my ears and on the top of my head. But I got used to it and now I forget I’m wearing it for 10 hours most days. You definitely need to give it some time to adjust to your head. now it adjusts to my head perfectly. Occasionally I still feel a bit of pressure on the top of my head, maybe it pulls my hair sometimes since it’s slightly heavy, but I just move the band on my head and let it sit in a different position and forget about it again. I’d say I have average sized ears and head. I’m not sure if it’s connected, but I had a small headache for the first few days, I did wonder if hearing new frequencies and/or the snug fit of the headset were causing it. It was just a few days though, maybe even a coincidence.

I worried that not being able to move the mic towards my mouth would make me quiet but definitely not, even my whispers are heard perfectly. But the mic doesn’t pick up my breath or me gulping my drinks. I love moving the mic up to mute. I don’t mind only having one volume wheel, I use discord and always adjusted chat volumes there anyway. So I don’t miss having two volume wheels at all. It feels sturdy, slightly heavy, but it feels tough. Not got a scratch on it.

I own a pretty old pc and just upgraded certain parts to play games. So I don’t think it’s fair of me to comment on the audio. My pc definitely can’t provide the optimal audio for my headset. But anyway I do have good audio and I can always identify the audio position (I play fps and horror games). It’s definitely got way less bass than my A50s had, I only noticed when I listened the menu music on apex, it’s a massive difference. I’m happy about it though, I feel like I’m getting much clearer audio that’s not drowning in bass. The audio just doesn’t blow my mind, but I believe that’s my pc’s fault, if I understand the pc world correctly. Also I can only compare it to a very old headset and earphones, so for me it’s still pretty damn good, better than what I’ve had of course. I just wouldn’t know if it’s worth the money.

I paid 200 for it, and it only bothers me because I’ll need a soundcard to be able to appreciate the audio better which could be another 100+. But overall I am very happy with it and after all the researching I’m glad I took a gamble with this headset. I love it, I know it will last years without even a scratch, it’s comfy, good audio, awesome mic, looks good, I’m happy and I would buy it again.

Bought this product along with a soundblaster DAC amp for gaming. Great head set with a fantastic sound scape that is very immersive. Audio wise the base is solid and punchy without bleeding into the midranges which are crisp and well detailed as are the treble ranges. This head set is comfortable and the mic and audio controls are easy to use.

I’ve used this headset for around 4-6 weeks now and I’m very happy with it.

I’m a glasses wearer and was after a new gaming headset. I had tried the Sennheiser GSP300 and liked them, but wanted something a bit nicer, with a removable cable. The GSP500s are very comfortable, however my situation isn’t well suited to open backed headphones.

The GSP600s meet these requirements well. I have worn them for full days working from home, or hour long gaming sessions with and without glasses and only occasionally had comfort issues (and not to do with the comfort over glasses, but rather the headset itself, but I find you get this with any pair of headphones after long enough).

The sound quality is very good, whether on my PC (through a Creative Soundblaster X G6 amp), Nintendo Switch, my work laptop (for calls) or my phone for music or calls. I wouldn’t recommend taking the headset out and about as it is bulky for that.

The microphone is very convenient, the quality is also very good (better than most gaming headsets I’ve heard). One great feature with the Sennheiser headsets is that the microphone is muted by rotating it upwards, a very useful feature I’d now miss if it wasn’t there.

The volume dial on the side is also very useful, if a little stiff at first. It also suffers from something all analogue volume dials I’ve used in that there are certain points in the rotation where sound doesn’t come out of both channels – though this is easily rectified by rotating slightly further in either direction. Like with the rotate-to-mute mic, the volume dial on the earcup is another feature I’d miss, having had it here.

The removable cable isn’t an essential feature, but it does give me piece of mind that if I break the jack end, I can swap it for the other cable, or buy a new one. I currently use the 4-pole cable (mic and sound combined into one) as my soundcard supports it, and the cable is shorter. However it’s nice to have both options in the box.

The adjustments on the headset are decent, you can change the height of the earcups as with most headphones, they also angle to the shape of your head when you put them on which works well. There is some adjustment on the headband, which I think changes the amount of weight on the top of your head, vs the clamping force of the earcups. I’m not entirely sure, but there is perhaps some difference in feeling when you change it from one extreme to the other.

All in all, a great headset, especially for glasses wearers. I would buy it again.

Superb gaming headset, using with Sennheiser GSX1000 gaming headphone amp. Whilst not truly noise cancelling they do block out quite a bit of the background noise, once you have a game running this further reduces outside noise even further. What really impressed me though was the quality of the sound, it’s miles better and clearer than my previous headset which was the sennheiser gsp300. It’s amazing. The headset is very snug fitting, quite tight, but I find it very comfortable even for long sessions 4+ hours. All in all I’m very happy with these and am glad I got them.

Coming from a pair of BD MX 300’s (which is a more expensive headset that I had for 5 years, loved + would also recommend) these Senns (GSP 600s) have great audio clarity in games, and all my music sounds absolutely fabulous on them.

At first it took a while to get use to the headband, maybe some bedding in issues on the headband (along with finding the right position for the adjustable sliders) but now a week later they are super comfy, they don’t heat up my ears, and I don’t feel like there too much clamping force. They fit me perfectly at least and are very very comfortable.

The only slight (VERY slight) comment I’d have is that the microphone sounds quite tinny, admittedly this may be my audio setup but I’m just comparing to my old head on the same PC/drivers/etc. Again though, it is very slight. The audio of the mic is very clear, and does a good enough job for a headset mic (also a big bonus that you can mute the mic by just putting it up vertically).

The cord is fantastic and detachable which is a big +.

Over all I’m super happy with them and they are well worth the price.

I purchased this headset from their Official website.

This was chosen to replace my broken Asus Strix 7.1 which was 5 years old, due to the previous positive experiences I’ve had in the past with Sennheiser products I went with this headset.

I was a little hesitant about buying these with a lot of reviews saying the headset clamps too hard on the head. I have not experienced this issue, the headset allows you to adjust the tension on the clamping. I have mine fully loosened up and it provides a comfortable gaming experience for hours on end!

Build quality is solid, this does not feel like it would brake after a few drops. Cable is removable from the headset, this should expand its lifespan considerable as there is no worry of killing the headset from a snapped cable.

The audio quality is what I purchased this product for and it does not dissapoint! This offers a well-rounded sound, as you would expect from Sennheiser. Provides an enjoyable music expeirence, bass doe not muddy or overwhelm the mids and highs as a lot of gaming headsets do. It does not have any virtual surround sound features but this can be accounted for by using third party software such as Dolby Atmos if this is a feature you need.

Microphone is clear and offers the same quality as my Rode USB microphone. It is very, very, sensitive, this will pick up everything so will need to be adjusted on your pc to find the right balance for your environment.

Sound isolation is excellent, it does not have active noise cancelling but the nature of closed back headphones and the padding effectively elimates external sound.

Box comes with both a single connecting cable for consoles/mobile gaming and the classic headphones/microphone cable for your PC which is a bonus as this can now be used on my Xbox as well!!!

Overall, for me, this is well built that offers fantastic sound and is my perfect headset which is why it gets my 5 stars!

Not sure if I like these yet they’re a very werid fit on my head, super comfy tho apart from the head band after being worn for about 4 or 5 hours starts to rub and hurt my head, I’ve been playing with it now on multiple games but I keep getting a popping or crackling sound now and again so I don’t know if the drivers are broke or if its just xbox so I’m tryna get that sorted but other than that it’s a good head set, mic quality is 5* sound quality apart from the popping is a 5* but it might be xbox where it happening cause I have had it before so I’ll update this in about a month

An absolute premium feel to this pair of headphones. I must say I’ve just completed a 4000 pound pc build and to put these headphones into perspective they are probably my most favourite product of the whole build. Personally for me sound is huge for both my music and games. And I can’t stress enough the clarity and bass and just overall sound quality is exceptional all whilst maintaining a solid comfortable pair of extremely durable, beautiful looking headphones. Oh and senheiser also through an outstanding mic in there for you aswell. Moving on from the headphones as a way of explaining what I mean by premium, the small things. Volume adjuster on right ear cup. It’s not loose but tight and feels solid. Microphone is able to come up and down and when moved up out of the way makes a satisfying click noise telling you that your microphone has been switched off.
Overall I am extremely satisfied with my product and recommend it to anyone who enjoys gaming and listening to music.
    Very happy customer.

I’m a serious gamer and a good pair of headphones are a must. When my previous pair failed, I stumbled across these ones while searching for new ones. Although the price is far above what I’ve paid for headphones in the past, I gave in and I ordered them. Almost 3 months later, I can say now that I have no regrets and that I’m very satisfied with them. They block out outside noise astonishingly well, I’ve never known anything like them. The sound quality is great and I have been complemented many times over the quality of my mic (a real problem with my previous pair!). The cable and the headphones themselves both feel reassuringly study and I’m confident they won’t break in the near future. Even if they do fail, Sennheiser provides a free 2 year warranty so you’re covered.

The headphones are generally comfortable, especially around and over the ears. However, one thing worth mentioning: the headphones are heavy and after some hours of use they can get somewhat uncomfortable. The center of the headband starts to feel like it’s digging into your scalp – it’s not the most pleasant sensation! This probably does vary from person to person – my head is a bit on the larger side, so that might have something to do with it. This reinforces what some other reviews have said, too. Regardless, if you take small breaks every hour or so this issue shouldn’t rear its head.

Overall, phenomenal headphones that fully justify their price tag!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI currently own the HyperX Revolver Gears of War Edition that I picked up from Amazon. I cannot tell any difference in sound quality from both of these headsets.
This headset is very attractive yet very bulky. It is heavier than the HyperX but not by a lot so I cannot feel any weight difference on my head. The problem with the headset was the comfort. I seem to have tried all positions and it still hurts the side of my head and close to my jaw. I can still ‘feel’ the headset on my head even when I have taken it off but only for a short while. I wear glasses and that definitely does not help either (even have some issues sometimes with the HyperX). I think it would be great for many people who do not wear glasses.

UPDATE: I actually found the ‘best’ comfort with the ear pads pulled down almost as far as possible and the head adjuster towards the outside. I am aware that having the adjuster inside actually loosens the fit but I found the fit a bit too loose and the top part of the pads did not actually touch my head and that felt odd.
I think the braided cable is very good. It is smooth unlike the HyperX which is a bit rough and feels very sturdy. I did have some issues inserting the 3.5mm jack into the hole though. There is a kind of clip inside the hole and that may have been stuck and so the jack did not go all the way in for a few attempts but in the end it went in okay. The volume knob is nice and ‘stiff’ and does take some pressure to turn which is better than having the knob very loose. I would have preferred a volume dial on the cable though like the HyperX for quicker volume reduction. I have attached the jack to the Xbox controller and use that for precise volume adjustments.

UPDATE: After comparing these further with the GSP 500 model I have concluded these are better then these 500, which is odd because the GSP 500 are open backed and normally they sound better from my experience than closed back which the GSP 600 are.

This headset is absolutely top class. It has a heft that speaks of reassuring build quality, and none of the moving parts feel fragile.

The mic ratchets down easily, and mutes when pushed back up. I’m told by those I’ve gamed with that the mic quality is excellent – they can hear me very clearly, and the mute works as expected.

The headband continues the theme of sturdy build quality, and the over-ear phones are comfortable for long term use; I tried wearing them for ~8 hours to see if they became uncomfortable, and didn’t even notice. This is helped by the ratchet system in the headband, which lets you set the headphones to fit your head.

The audio fidelity is amazing. Bass feels like it rumbles through your skull, and trebles are top class. When you’re playing games, this sort of immersive fidelity really helps the experience, and this headset delivers that fidelity in spades. It’s crystal clear, pitch perfect, and the phones block out any external noise short of an airstrike (though this may get you shouted at!).

In summary, this is a fantastic headset, which brings an amazing audio quality game, both to the mic and the receiver.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGaming head set by Sennheiser.
I’ve used head phones for many years with my computers and various radios and it’s true to say none are as good as these ones. Well made with enough movement and padding to make them extremely comfortable. I find that they are more of a positive fit than others which just sit over the ears. These ones help cancel outside noise because of that and also prevent what your hearing being heard by others.
There is a volumn control as well. Fitted with a noise cancelling Mic which is meant for games or general communication, I’ve only used this on one occasion and it worked very well, The mic swings out of the way when not in use. There is plenty of adjustment as to size of your head. Seems to be made mainly of quality Plastic and an element of metal in the side brackets.
Well made and professional to look at..I enjoy using them and when My Dear Partner gives me instructions, I have an excuse to say I didn’t hear her…

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy son has been using the GSP600s with his PC and they are now his headset of choice.

    Feedback from him:

    – Easy to set up with PC, no issues at all
    – Sound quality is excellent, good 3D effects, no problems
    – Comfortable on, even after a long session
    – They are not the most discrete headphones so he wouldn’t wear them on the train.

Overall he is quite picky about tech and he totally loves the GSP600s (he is a long time Sennheiser fan)

    Highly recommended

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe Senheiser GSP 600 Gaming series Professional Gaming Headset has a very long and egotistical title. But it sort of earns that egotism by being absolutely amazing. The headphones themselves are remarkably comfortable and block out most outside sound quite well, and the sound quality is utterly amazing. I tested them on a couple of games and actually spent quite a long while jumping up and down on terrain in Bioshock Infinite because it sounded so amazing. So amazing compared to my old Headphones that is. The headphones come with a microphone as well, and that too is great, there is just one issue with the microphone, and to be fair, this isn’t an issue with the production of the headphones. The microphone is mounted on the left ear of the headphones, and curves around to the front of your face, meaning that no matter what, the microphone will pick up popping and breathing sounds. Because of this I don’t use the microphone, and I wish I could take it out, but that’s impossible. The wire that plugs the microphone into the computer isn’t directly plugged into the headphones, it is a wire completely seperate to both, that has to be plugged into both. This means that you can literally just stand up and leave your computer without the setup being damaged, and I just cannot get over this novelty. The wire itself is of a decent and comfortable length, and is actually of a very nice quality. The wire feels good to run through the hands, but more importantly, the wire isn’t damaged like other wires over use. Wires with rubber covers over them get damaged when the wire is folded, meaning I have had situations where the wires of hardware just break over usage. This is not the case with these wires, they are nowhere near as fragile as any other headphone wires I have used. Because of this, I feel that this pair of headphones will last a lot longer than any other piece of hardware I have had has lasted.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersVery high quality gaming headset. I use this with my PS4 and works perfectly. Extremely good sound quality for the mic and sound, even when used just as headphones. Very clear with decent bass and can be loud if you choose it to be so really sucks you into the game and it’s environments. I’m only dropping 1 star off as it is massive. I have some beats headphones for music and movies (and my Switch) and they’re dwarfed compared to these. They are comfortable but get heavy and my ears got quite hot after a long gaming session. Highly recommended though and you notice the quality for the price.

    High quality but huge

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe degree of adjustable fit available with this headset enables a truly immersive gaming experience that protects both the player and the rest of the household from noise pollution.

The ear pads are very comfortable and can be adjusted to a good, snug fit; this is probably key to the immersive experience and wasn’t adversely affected by wearing glasses. The volume control is situated on the right ear and microphone on the left; it all feels very intuitive.

Sound quality is fantastic, good enough for music as well as gaming, albeit corded connectivity may reduce your tendency to wear these for the former.

The reason for only a four-star rating is that they do start to feel heavy after around an hour of wear, which meant I needed to take a break when I normally would just continue to play. I can put up with that for the sound quality, but it may affect enjoyment if you tend to game for long periods of time.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve used these since they were released and I love them.
I moved from Sennheiser PC360 to these, but I’m still keeping the PC360, because they are open-air while the GSP 600 are closed. So they differ in sound experience.

    Overall:
    The sound is great
Build quality is great, they feel sturdy and solid
My ears fit perfectly into the cups.
They sit great on my head, no discomforts so far.
Personally I haven’t experienced any issues with them. I read a review on Amazon that the microphone slowly drops down, but mine do not; so his must be faulty. If you experience this, I suggest requesting a new pair.
