Tried to buy this in Currys. Didn’t have it in stock and didn’t know when it would be back in. Paid 10 less on amazon! This hoover is great. Gets everywhere I need it to and found dirt the old Dyson missed! Glad I bought i

The dust this has brought out of my Carpet just from one use is unbelievable. Really easy to assemble, feels and looks like an expensive product . Really impressed with this it’s the best hoover I’ve ever had. Emptying was easy. Nice and lightweight to push around.

I have a shark at home and I bought this one for the caravan as I needed the compatibility and the size of a cordless but needed it to plug in as I find cordless hoover have less power, tried it for the first time and it was amazing does exactly what I bought for !

We bought this based on a Which Best Buy and fully agree with everything said. It’s light and very manoeuvrable with the only downside being the size of the dust container.

I had been using a fairly old Dyson ball machine but decided to change. Dyson’s all seemed expensive and my better half has one of their battery uprights [short running time and dodgy battery]. As I appeared to have a large number of these things in my wall [I think they’re called power sockets] I opted for this plugin Shark. OMG what a difference – great suction, bends in half [unlike me] to go under the beds, lights, long lead, and lots of attachments. I wish I have moved over sooner. The only small downside is that you have to empty the dust “bag” a few times, but that is easy enough. I’m sure that there are Dyson’s that do a similar job but not for the price of the Shark. Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is my second Shark and the only make of Vacuum cleaner in my whole life that I have bought “on repeat”. Since I bought my first one they have redesigned the dust collector and it is definitely an improvement, the nozzle has also improved. So satisfactory to see the dust mounting up. I like it because it is very light to haul around and gets into tight places without too much effort. It is so versatile because you can split it to be a long wand (ideal for cobwebs) or again for a hand held stair cleaner or awkward places. Although it has a flex which may put some off I don’t find that a problem. The dust catcher is a bit small but at least it reminds you to empty it frequently and at the same time check for obstacles. I love mine and wouldn’t change it!

In terms of cleaning this is head and shoulders above any other vacuum cleaner I’ve ever used. The weight is nothing too. Things I’m not crazy about (but knew before buying) are….the dust collector is TINY. After not having a proper cleaner for a few weeks I did one 3m x 3m carpeted room today and had to empty it 5 times!I appreciate the carpet was dirty, and I have cats, but even when I get the house fully clean again I suspect the weekly clean is gonna take 3 or 4 empties for a 4 bed house. Btw emptying is a doddle into a plastic bag, takes maybe 10 secs tops. The other things I’m going to have to get used to….it won’t stand up on its own unless folded down and I really miss the auto cable rolling up thing on my last hoover.

However, and it’s a big however, the cleaning results are SUPERB. I have no hesitation recommending this cleaner as long as you know about its nuances.

Very good, light and easy to use cleaner. Not too noisy. The wide anti wrap pet attachment works on both hard and carpet floors, you need to press a button on top of the unit to transition between them, but simple. The only negative is that the dust container is a tad small so needs very frequent emptying, not helped as removing the container from the device is quite fiddly. Otherwise quick and easy to empty into an indoor rubbish bin. The detachable suction unit makes vacuuming staircase and mattresses much easier. Overall very pleased with it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPros:
    – Good suction, cleans well
    – Easy to empty, small container for dirt but surprisingly large capacity
    – Easy to manouvre
    – Loooooong cord, no need to change plugs while you move around the house
    – Fun to use!

    Cons:
    – You have to unwind the whole cord to use, so not easy to set up/put away quickly
    – Hard to use in handheld mode as the angle is fixed, I would NOT recommend unless you have excellent mobility
    – Heavy unless you have good upper body strength
    – Small vacuum head, takes longer to vacuum because you cannot cover as much ground at once.

Overall, very pleased with my purchase, but I would not recommend for anyone who has any kind of strength or mobility problems. In hindsight, I think the cordless version may be worth the extra money as it would avoid several of the cons of this version.

Great because you can fold it in half, especially if short of space.
good cleaner and light weight to use.
Downside is that you cannot stand it upright, have to lean it on the table.
If it was not for this design fault I would have awarded 5 stars.

This is my second Shark. I really like them. I bought my first one because I was finding it difficult to carry my old hoover upstairs especially in a house with 3 floors. I wil say this one is a little heavier than the first one and more effort is needed when using it. Still a great hoover.

Such a good hoover! My partner was sceptical the anti hair wrap wouldn’t work but it does! The suction is fantastic, when it arrived I hoovered our lounge with our old Sebo and then immediately did it again with my new Shark and was amazed at how much more it collected in the dust chamber after I’d used our old hoover!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBeen looking for a vacuum debating their size, style and performance. Think I just found a perfect one. The vacuum is not that heavy to handle and main appliance turns very smoothly without effort. The only complain I would say the storage of the dust bin. But as a compact vacuum can’t ask for too much. Plus the dust bin is easy to take out and clean. Lastly the noise is not much of bother either. Great product. Suction of the vacuum it does what it said. You can’t really feel the heavy pull like the rest of the vacuum. But I can tell how much dust and fur picked up less than 5 mins already.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVacume works well.
We have 3 dogs and 2 kids so used regularly.
Main issue is the size of the collection bin is very small. Can fill it in 2 rooms so slows you down. Could do with optional extra for an xl collection bin as it is removable for emptying.
Had to had the head replaced as kept stopping the brush bar. One call to shark and they sent replacement few days later. Excellent customer service.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersDo not buy this hoover. It is not anti hair wrap. I had to unclog it then hoover everywhere again. Then unclog again. So hoovering my house 3 times to get it clean. Spent more time cutting hair out of the roller than actually using it.
Contacted customer service at shark and they sent me a trouble shooting tip. Doesn’t work. 6 months on and it’s broken. I have dogs so this is why I got it.
Probably will be OK if you have no dogs no cats no kids that make a mess and you have a show home that you don’t actually live in.
Now I need to buy another hoover. Think I will stick to the Henry’s

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersWas in a real quandary about this purchase – especially having been a Miele and Dyson user for years. But I was looking for something lighter and easier to manoeuvre. Delighted to say it is a pleasure to use. I love the fact that it bends down easily to become half its size, making it very transportable (needed for job as housekeeper). I also love the fact that the waste bin is small so it definitely encourages you to empty after each use. I also love the flexibility of the floor sweeper part of the vacuum. with a simple twist, the machine gets round table legs and under units simply and powerfully. Only downside is the suction -dont get me wrong, the suction is more than adequate for my purpose – cleaning holiday lets – but I would love to feel the thing grabbing the carpet a little more! – somehow that would make me feel it really was great suction. Summary: Still very happy with it – love the look of it, love its ease of use and its lightness and portability – emptying it is the easiest I have ever owned. would definitely recommend. Goodbye Miele and Dyson.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersPro’s: Very compact and can be stored away with ease, great for picking up pet hair (self explanatory for the model), suction power is pretty good for the price, cable length is great so don’t have to keep unplugging to change rooms, very ease to clean filters and rollers if they do become full.

Cons: stair accessory is nearly useless as slows down significantly when pressure applied, dirt compartment very small so if you have a medium/large house this isn’t the greatest, about the same weight as our old upright vacuum cleaner, feels very flimsy and cheaply built especially where it folds to allow for storage so sceptical of it’s longevity.

overall a decent Vacuum cleaner for those just starting up in a small home, but could be better for the price being asked.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersPrimary reason to buy this was due to the rooms in 2 bedroom apartment have carpet and I wasn’t sure if battery powered vacuum cleaner will clean them enough and for how long.
5 on that there are a couple of improvements that I can suggest, which may not be related to its function but are annoying:
    1. Cable is not retractable, huge disappointed as no matter how well you manuaver, it comes in the way since you can control how much should it be in open.
    2. Can’t stand on its own, and considering bin size is small, you need it to stand when you’re going to empty the bin.
    3. Small bin

    Pro:
    1. Duo rolling brush cleans carpet and floor well.
    2. Handles hair pretty well without getting stuck often.
    3. Powerful suction.
    4. Well made other than the aforementioned design issues.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersMy house presents a challenge for any vacuum cleaner as I have a long haired dog and 2 long haired cats which shed endlessly. I already own a Shark lift away which deals with the hair superbly but due to my increasing age (I will be 80 in a few months) I now find it too heavy to push. My new Stratos is such a revelation. It’s fairly light and very easy to manoeuvre. It picks up anything and everything it comes across. I was apprehensive that the small collection bin would be a nuisance but I can hoover all of downstairs with space left in the bin, even though it has picked up every bit of hair and debris. If for whatever reason you are finding a big upright too difficult to manage I thoroughly recommend this vacuum. You won’t regret it.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersAfter receiving this earlier and using for the first time, I’m very very impressed. Very easy to assemble and use, it’s much lighter than my previous Sharks, it reaches further under furniture than the previous ones too.
The negatives are, it doesn’t stand very well on its own,so it’s leaning against a wall currently, and there’s no where to store the very long cord.
I am going to add to this review in a few months as I’ve had mixed luck with the reliability of previous Sharks their life expectancy in my experience has been poorand I found the guarantee to be useless unfortunately.
(I went with Shark again despite those issues because when they do work, they’re fab, and they’re often on offer, so very well priced too)

    First impressions are excelle

I am disabled and was finding my old vacuum so hard to use so I treated myself to this little beauty this covered my whole downstairs and was effortless to use .
The lead reaches from my patio to my front door so no more shifting plug sockets .
The amount of hair and dust it lifted was amazing.
So glad I read all the reviews before I bought as I know the wand one is definitely best for me and love the lights really help in darker areas .

  39. mtbgreg1 says:

     United Kingdom

Golden Review Award: 53 From Our UsersI spent ages researching vacuum cleaners. It’s hard to pick one because you get such polar opposite reviews. I’m adding to the spectrum of reviews by saying I’m glad I bought this vacuum and would recommend it.
I decided on the corded version because I felt I didn’t want to chance the drop in suction and faff of the battery of the cordless.
You do get quite a bit of faff with the corded version mind, since the cord has to be constantly contended with. I would try the cordless next time for that reason and hopefully batteries will have come on even more in the next few years.
I chose the stick version because it looked like it would be lighter and the bendy aspect would come in handy. Both of this have proven to be true, it is much lighter than my previous vacuum and I can get under my settee and desk easily.
I was worried that the dust container would be too small but it has not proven to be a problem. I do have to empty it a few times if I do all of my average sized house in one go, but it’s much easier, quicker and less messy than my previous vacuum. Just click out and click back in. There’s also a gross satisfaction in seeing all the dust and hairs it has captured.
The suction of this is better than I expected. It feels like it’s not doing much because it is a lot lighter than my previous vacuum. I was barely able to drag that one across the carpet if it was on full suction. This one is easily pushed but the amount of crap it picks up is amazing. I’ve had it a few months now and I still say to my husband, ‘look at this, that’s just from the livingroom!’. Probably tmi, but there is only two of us and a cat living in my house and I can’t believe how much dirt falls to the floor in a week.
Anyway, the other thing I went for is the ati-hair wrap technology. Being a long- haired person, I frequently was to be found crouching on the floor cutting hair off the brushes of my previous vacuum. It was gross. This technology is a revelation. It absolutely works. I don’t understand anyone who says it doesn’t. I promise you it does. It doesn’t have a single hair on its brushes. They get wrapped around a cone in the dust compartment and part of the satisfaction of emptying it is seeing the cone of hair sliding into the bin.
The last thing that sold this vacuum to me is that it folds up and fits into my small vacuum cupboard. Though, along with the faffy cord, it is the only other annoying thing about this vacuum, because it can’t stand upright on its own unless you fold it over. But on the whole, it is worth these faffs to get a vacuum that is light, maneuverable, has good suction and is easy to empty and maintain.

I really like the solid build quality, extremely robust and the ability to be able to use the ‘knee joint’ allowing easy access under low items like the sofa. The suction is great and being mains powered you dont have the annoying battery issues. I was surprised at how well it’s made compared to the cordless from another well known make made in Malaya company we currently have. Very happy with it.

This vacuum is really good. I thought the one I owned was doing the job but clearly not with the amount of dust and dirt this lifts out. Very easy to store and tuck away, in my case under a work top. Not too heavy to use or difficult to manoeuvre. Great for cleaning car, stairs etc. I cannot give it enough praise and would say to anyone it’s excellent, particularly purchasing when on offer.

I thought my last hoover was good, but due to diminishing performance I replaced with this one. I was astounded by how much it collected when I tried it in one room to try it out and instantly did the entire house!!! Oh my goodness!!!

Good suction power. Vaccum cleaning has become easier and quicker. Works good on both carpet and wood flooring. The only downside is the dirt container fills up too quickly and needs to be emptied a few times (shouldn’t be a problem if you’re vaccuming one room).

  47. Anonymous says:

The corded cleaner does a good job good suction. 4 stars because I already have a battery Shark stick. In the design stage the Ninja engineers in their wisdom made the attachments on mains model non-compatable with battery stick models. Therefore if you wanted a powered stair brush, another purchase is required. Bit greedy. Sorry will not play that game, will manage without! Other than that alls excellent.

  48. nbcxhzcxz says:

Well-built and seems sturdy. Have had several stick cleaners which have been rubbish, and this one is far and away the best. Suction is super whether on hard floors or carpets. Very easy to empty. Handle folds down for easy storage. Amazingly long cord. It’s not the lightest but I like that because it’s sturdy. Forget the rest of the stock cleaners and buy a Shark. You won’t be disappointed.

  49. Anonymous says:

Most features of this cleaner are brilliant. It’s easy to use – one button press to change from hard floor to carpet, and simple to empty and store. It is very compact and powerful, picking up a lot of dust every clean. It’s also light and versatile, which is ideal for using it on the stairs and to clean the car.
The only reason it hasn’t been given 5stars is due to the brush head returning to the vertical position too often when cleaning, if you don’t angle it fully. The cord is also a nusiance to wind away but as the hand held system is so light, making it retractable would not be possible.
The anti hair wrap feature is really effective and does exactly what it says.

  50. StarFortner says:

We bought this shark corded vacuum to replace our previous shark that had seen better days. This model is the one that hinges on the middle. On initial use we found it picked up very well and once we worked out how to empty it found it quick and convenient to use. We have found that the central forward folding hinge ” could” be it’s Achilles heel in that it feels loose when pushing the vac to and fro and could eventually give out. Unlike other larger Shark vacuums there is no facility to store attachments on the appliance itself, so a handy box or shelf in your cupboard is a must. Much more reliable than a cordless in my opinion. I gave it four stars based on lack of appliance storage and confusing hinge set up.

  51. MasonDalyrg says:

I love the increase in power over my previous cordless, not Sharp, cleaner. Wish I had been brave and tried the sharp cordless stick as going back to a corded stops me from just grabbing it daily. I still use my previous cordless stick as a quick use for little cleans.
I find the waste cup very small and a nuisance, but my carpet is disintegrating, so that’s a bit unfair. It is small in comparison to other makes though.
Overall pleased with it but will be happier when carpet changed to wood floors.

I was a bit 50/50 about purchasing one of these as some of the other reviews are talking about these Shark Vacuums being heavy/not sucking up hair/getting blocked with hair/not fitting together properly. I can only assume that these reviews were of an older model.

This review is for the HZ500UK model (in purple if that matters), it comes carefully packed with the basic two attachments (one for edges and one with a brush for stairs). The two attachments slide over the end of the main vacuum whereas the main brush/roller attachments has a special socket to clip into and provide power. This attachment is very secure and I can’t see it being damaged with normal use.
I have a partner with very long hair (right down to her lower back) and a cat which sheds hair constantly, they have conspired to kill a Dyson, a Hoover and several Amazon Basic Vacuums in the past.
I ran the Shark around the whole house and had to empty the dust/hair compartments perhaps 5-6 times, there were literally handfulls of hair coming out of it (shows how poor a job the poor Amazon Basic Vacuum was doing!). At this point I checked the rollers and found two(!) hairs wrapped around it.

We’ve had this nearly a month now and it continues to clean very well. The only downsides as far as I am concerned are that when you are cleaning it doesn’t stand up by itself so you have to rest it on something (not a huge deal) and I don’t think the suction on the brush attachment is particularly strong.

My first Dyson was a small ball upright but the hose didn’t reach far enough up the stairs & I had to balance the actual machine on the stairs. So, my next one was a large ball upright which did the job but eventually I couldn’t manoeuvre it because it was so heavy. Not being a fan of cordless models made it difficult to continue as a Dyson customer as they only do cordless now ( not a good move Dyson). And so to Shark. This model ticked all the boxes. A long cord means I don’t have to keep changing sockets, the main head is bigger than normal stick models but still very manoeuvrable and it’s also a nifty little hand held too, great for the stairs. In other reviews I noted that it was a bit top heavy & as such doesn’t ” stand up” on its own like an upright. But, it’s not an upright, it’s a stick and sticks don’t stand up on their own.
Downsides? Yes, perhaps the suction isn’t as great as the big ball Dyson, but it’s comparable to the small ball. The dust container needs emptying more often, but really, how difficult is that?
All in all, I’m more than happy with it, especially the price which was 179 compared to 600 latest Dyson stick. No brainier really.

Good quality, sturdy but not too heavy. Suction good for long hair and pet fu

The vacuum cleaner looks impressive. The suction is better than anticipated.
I purchased because it was recommended for pet lovers with problems of hair and vacuum cleaners not being able to cope. The shark was amazing I have two very hairy dogs and it coped incredibly well.
Only one small niggle, the dust collection bin fills up very quickly and has to be emptied frequently, but a small price to pay for such amazing suction and performance.
    Well done shark.

I chose this for my wedding anniversary present from my in laws (take what you want from that!) I wanted a cordless fancy easy hoover that I’d seen on all the adverts and Instagram. Yes, those ones with super duper tidy clean homes. Part of me thought if I get that hoover my home will magically become an insta home. That never actually happened but hoovering has definitely become so much easier with this! I chose a corded coz well I was a bit skeptical about it “losing power” without a cord. In hindsight I wish I had chosen the cordless because the only downside to this hoover is having to play wire acrobats trying to keep the wire from getting caught in the hoover and don’t even get me started on the awkwardness of trying to wind it back up! Anyways, I freakin love this hoover! It is so easy. The hoovering can be done so quickly. It zooms between laminate and rug effortlessly and is great on carpet, you get those lines that make it look like you’ve actually hoovered, (very satisfying), and it is quite strong for such a small thing! There’s also this magic button on it that means it goes under the furniture without you bending down!!! Yep, really! No dust bunnies or hidden crumbs under my sofa any more. The head swivels about and if you’ve got good wrist movement you can stand in one spot and get into all the corners and crevices! It does need emptied loads and doesn’t actually stand up on it’s own until it’s folded down to store. But, well not everything is perfect. I would say though that i still have my henry for a deep hoover up everything / anything / the car footwells kinda clean coz this hoover isn’t built for hardcore messes – it would literally die if I tried to hoover the cold ash and wood bits round the fire place! I have already recommended this to three separate people and two have bought it (maybe should have bought shares first!) this is one of my fave buys and has definitely made life easier and Insta ready (lol).

We have downsized to a very small house and our old hoover was too cumbersome and heavy. This one is great in many ways but it does have faults. I chose a corded one as have nowhere to park a charging one on wall but the cord is stiff and hard to recoil. It is nice and long though so you don’t have to replug it for upstairs (I did mention our house is small!!). The main problem is I have arthritic hands so I find it kills my hands to use it for long. You have to grip the handle the whole time and it pulls on your thumb joints as you sweep the wand around the floor. There is a plus side to this as my husband now does all the hoovering and the carpets are definitely cleaner than with our old hoover (a rubbish Dyson) which is great with a dog in the house.

Have read all the reviews about the shark before I purchased this product. Although a little heavy for me , but that’s because I have a shoulder injury, . I cannot fault this brilliant vacuum cleaner. Well worth the money,. I have long hair and my bedroom is hard to clean, but for this vacuum, hair what hair! Brilliant!

And although it cost more than I would normally spend on a vacuum cleaner, its well worth it, when you have had 9 vacuum’s in the past that were no where near has brilliant has this product, it does exactly what it says on the box and more,. Thankyou Amazon and Shark

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersI got this Hover to use for my Airbnb, I’m thinking of getting a second one for home, my wife really loves the Rose Gold colour.

    – Great strong suction power, regular and turbo speed

    – The bottom is heavy but doesn’t break your back

    – Handheld option is really convenient, easy on and off

    – Emptying the dust compartment is really easy and clean

One thing I noticed people complaining is that you can’t keep it standing upright…

But it can actually be folded nicely and stored away, I’ve uploaded a video, feel free to have a look at it if you have time for a 30sec video.

    Thank you!

Great on carpets and for pet hair. Really impressed with it. We have two long haired cats so needed something that could deal with all the hair. It has separate collecting chambers and picks up all the hair without tangling around the base. It’s easy to clean out. The only criticism is that the long cord has nowhere to go and can get tangled if not put away properly.

I’m really happy with my purchase of the Shark anti wrap corded vacuum. It does the job perfectly even with stubborn pet hairs. I don’t have stairs so I can’t comment on stair cleaning. I haven’t tried the attachments yet but have a feeling they will help with some of the areas I find difficult to reach with the vacuum cleaner. My only little niggle is that the container for the carpet mess is quite small and I have to empty it a lot and it doesn’t stand upright, I have to prop it up on the wall. Still worthy of all stars though

Liked that it was light and had good suction so removed pet hair easily. A big dislike was the small container for dirt which quickly got filled by pet hair so had to be emptied often.

This is definitely the best corded vacuum I’ve ever bought & I’ve tried loads of different ones including Dyson/Vax/Miele etc. The price I paid on Amazon was the same price as on the Shark website & I got free delivery/delivery date was quicker on Amazon too. I would definitely buy a corded vacuum rather than cordless as there is no loss of suction & no battery to replace. It has a really long wire which reaches different rooms without having to keep unplugging it. It has excellent suction on carpets & is a lot easier to use for cleaning stairs as you just detach the base & push on the right cleaning accessory which is included with the vacuum. It has brought loads of dust/dirt out of my carpets which I thought were clean until I used the Shark & it is also good on wooden floors. The anti hair wrap feature is excellent & I’ve had no problems with it. It can feel quite bulky/heavy compared to some vacuums but that is the only negative I can find about this Shark vacuum. I don’t have any pets but I feel the added pet feature is good to have as I think it improves suction even more & picks up more dirt/dust/hair.
Overall I would give this 5*

Best vacuum that I have bought so far cannot fault it!

After trying several battery powered stick cleaners, the sheer lack of genuine suction for any usable period of time meant I had to go back to a cabled mains cleaner. This cleaner proved to be a great solution as it has a very long flex, is lightweight and has great suction. It even cleaned my car completely free of dirt, small stone chippings and dog hair in a very short time. Well impressed!

We have had a few vacuum cleaners in the past some much more expensive than this one. This one though is simply brilliant. It’s very quiet, smooth, has a light to shine where you are hoovering. It comes apart so you can use it as a hand device for applications like cleaning small places, stairs or a vehicle.

The best bit is there are not pesky bags to keep having to buy and empty, it works like a Dyson in that it collects all the dirt in a container that you simply empty into the bin. We love it!

So glad I decided to purchase this during the Black Friday deals, my old Shark was on its way out so I was in the market for a new one. This one is more lightweight then my older one which is great for getting it around, suction is fab as I would expect from this brand and the the anti hair wrap system actually works! My old one always had to be cleaned and have the hair cut out but this one doesn’t seem to be getting any hair wrapped in it at all. Definitely worth the money, very pleased.

Our dyson was falling apart and so we decided to go for this instead. A fraction of the price and also called “shark” so you just know it means business.

It’s really simple to use, lightweight and really works. The bendy function to vacuum, under sofas and beds is really handy, as is the really long power cord.

The lights on the front make it look like something which rolled into the kid’s room in Close Encounters and if that’s not a good reason to buy it then I don’t know what is.

I bought this because my old one was getting too heavy for me to cart up and down stairs, and cleaning the stairs themselves was a nightmare using an old fashioned upright. With my new Shark, I just use the hand held bit for the stairs and it’s so light and easy. The suction is great. It’s very easy to take apart to use different tools or empty the dust away. Can’t praise it too highly

Loved that all packaging was cardboard or paper, no plastic whatsoever! Very easy to assemble. Very easy to use. Carpet and hard floor functions both do a good job. Long 10 metre cord makes things easier too.
    Would definitely recommend.

I hoover and sweep daily, multiple times (mum of a toddler) and the amount of dirt this pulled from my carpets baring in mind they’re under two months old, was shocking – I had a quick whizz around and the dust compartment was 3/4 full! Super easy to put together, arrived a day late but to be expected with Christmas. I have now given my Dyson away and am recommending the shark to everyone!
Only downside is the cable can’t be stored “neatly” and needs to be propped against something when not in use but I can definitely live with that!

I rarely write reviews, but since I bought this vacuum I’ve felt the need to shout it from the rooftops. I have two very fluffy cats that shed constantly and abundantly, and it normally takes several passes to de-hair the carpet. Not with this model. One sweep and it looks like I don’t even have pets. The controls are easy to use as well. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t have cord retractor, as the cord is quite long and it’s unwieldy to wind up. But a great product overall.

Really pleased with this product. Great manufacturing. Not too heavy a and fairly easy to move around. Was worried would be too heavy but surprisingly not too bad. Some people may find it heavy to move around. Took me a few times to get use to it but now love to vac up and it folds up so doesn’t take up to much room. Great suction and carpets look much more cleaner. Great also if your a animal lover like me, pet hairs no problem

The downfall of this hoover is it won’t stand upright on its own, you need a wall to prop it against or have to lay it on the floor.

I have gone back to a corded vacuum after having an expensive Dyson cordless for 3 very unhappy years. This Shark is a godsend. Comparatively it’s a bit heavier but by 3rd use you don’t notice it. It is quicker, much quieter, picks up far more dirt and bigger pieces – the Dyson would just push them along the floor! I have hard floors and rugs in my bungalow and the cord reaches every nook and cranny once plugged into a central hallway socket and coming out of the top by the handle it doesn’t tangle up. I love the lights on the front which helps to see fluff. Only con is that it doesn’t go under my tv unit which is about 3 inches off the floor. I might think about buying one if the accessory tools that will do this but hey ho it’s no biggie.
