This vac is excellent. I ordered the slightly damaged 1 and the marks are hardly visible – well worth a chance. Saved 75. The performance is great, very mobile and I can certainly cover the whole house (3 bedroom) in 1 charge. If it is fully charged it shows as 100% and it is hardly affected after the whole house. Down to 70% so absolutely fine. I only charge the vac every 3rd use. Great suction even on level 1. Highly recommended

We have 2 Dyson V8 vacuum cleaners at home, but we found that they do not give a thorough clean to our carpets. We tried out this Sharp and found it has very powerful suction, each run of this over our reasonably cleaned carpets can still pick up a quarter bucket of dust. Very impressive. We love it.
    issues:
    1. heavy compared with Dyson. Sharp should consider doing a Wand without the bending feature, just a simple wand like that of Dyson as this will reduce quite a bit of weight for people who do no need this feature like myself.
    2. the battery only lasted around 10 minutes when in full blast. spare battery is not on sale at present. suggest to do this soon and als should lower its price to match the Dyson battery. (Currently, it is twice the price of Dysons)

This is a good vac with flexible options for cleaning your home and your car. I’m glad I want for the twin battery option as the vac quickly eats through batteries. It also really needs a full clean and wash-out of the dust collector every time it is used including the two filters so is quite high maintenance. Fine dust does collect in the collector and can only be removed by washing with water. With the dust collector, motor and battery being at the top of the vac it is quite heavy and you will feel it after using it for a house clean.

I’m overall pretty happy with this vacuum cleaner, and I’ve compared it to my old Dyson DC40.

Firstly, I gave my front room (old low piled carpet) a good vacuum with my old cleaner, then went over it again with my new Shark model on boost mode. The first two pictures show the difference, which I think speaks for itself.
Weight wise I think it’s reasonable, and it’s good to steer. I say this because my old cleaner was very difficult to maneuver, and basically needed two hand steering at all times, which was exhausting going through an entire house. It’s taken me a bit to get used to the light steering going between my cleaners, but I quite like it and get on with it well now.
The inside of the cleaner is easy to empty, and I like the filter isn’t just a cylinder, but pointed, so hair slips right off instead of being stuck.
One downside however is the handle. I find it hard to maintain a good grip of the middle of it, and end up holding it closer to the digital display, because my hand/grip slides. After going over thee rooms this leaves me with close to what I would call a blister, so less ideal. Perhaps someone else would maintain a better grip, but with early arthritis I don’t have the strength to do so.
The battery time is quite alright if used on setting 1 or 2 for both hard floor and carpet settings, but runs out fast if left on boost setting. I think this is to be expected, but also not something I do every time I vacuum. It’s reasonably fast to recharge either way.

    Fairly decent vacuum cleane

I bought the IZ201UKT pet hair version in blue. It seems that the reviews of different shark models amalgamate into similar models.
However, the reason for my review is that they were quite mixed and I was in two minds whether to buy.
I have to say, it’s pretty awesome! I didn’t think my house was that dirty, either that or I thought my old trusty plug in was really good and it’s not. Other reviews mention this is heavy and it is but I wasn’t put off by this because we have thick pile carpets so I figured the weight will stop me pushing down so much making it easier and it does. However, those with arthritis may struggle!
The power is perfectly fine, pretty strong actually for a cordless and I saw a photo where someone had cable tied the power boost – this is not needed unless perhaps they were used to a black hole vacuum! (No offense!)
All the extensions were included with a handy bag to store them in.
The battery seems plentiful for day to day hoovering too. I noticed some reviews mention there not being a wall bracket, for us we wanted to be able to charge anywhere as we don’t have space for a wall bracket but it will be down to personal preference.
Overall, it’s perfect for what we need (a secondary upstairs hoover). I would recommend it, it’s built well, meets most desires from a cordless that is affordable!

Superb suction and maneuverability, it’s night and day against my Dyson v11. My carpets look new since using this!

After a month of solid use, the brush bar is still clear of any hairs and my wife malts like a golden retriever; so I’d pay little attention to reviews that suggest it doesn’t work.

We decided to go for a cordless vacuum as our Dyson was feeling a bit heavy.
If I’m honest I’m not as impressed as I was expecting.
Maybe it’s just me but I was expecting it to be a lot lighter. The design is such that all the weight is toward the handle so after a few mins vacuuming you really are aware of the weight.
Things don’t get much better when you detach it to do stairs for example. It is still quite heavy and more unwieldy than the Dyson, although easier to move up/down the stairs.
Battery life is so-so and a spare battery costs a fair bit.
As you may gather I have mixed feelings about this purchase

On the positive side Its very easy to put together and to detach the hand -held for the stairs etc .One battery charge easily covers our 4 bed, 2 reception etc house Hardwood most of downstairs and it works as well as on carpet. My waist- length hair daughter has been home for a week and it coped fine with the hair we always find after. a visit It picks up our cat(s) hairs well too .It’s lighter than the traditional Dyson it is replacing .
On the negative side The dust cylinder is quite small and if you are a very messy family I think you’d have to empty frequently . Although it’s quite easy ,to be fair .It didn’t cope well with Christmas Tree needles and blocked. I couldn’t undo the three screws at the bottom to clear it, so ended up fishing the bits out . If you have very new/fluff-shedding carpets I suspect this could be an issue too. We are a two-person household and it will be fine for us But I suspect a family would be better off with a more traditional hoove

We’ve had a corded Shark HV320UKT stick since 2018, and it was amazing at first (the power!), but it’s become less convenient over the years (not great for under sofas/tables, loses suction quickly) even though I’ve maintained it well. My BIGGEST pet hate about the old one was THE HAIR! And I was the only one who would get rid of it.

When I got the IZ201 and set it up, it looked too flimsy and small to be able to compete, so I was worried. Charged it overnight and turned it on the next day and just the lack of loud, powerful vacuuming noises made me even more worried. I thought that there’s no way this could compete! I also saw quite a few reviews about the Anti-hair wrap not working as it should. I was starting to get buyer’s remorse!

Well I gave it a go on the hard floor first as we always need to every day (kids – it’s a daily struggle) and to my surprise, it sucked up everything without so much as a sweat, or a do-over. It’s just so quiet in comparison! I did the sofa and it got rid of so much dust too! The flexology is a god-send in my house and it works very well. I like that I can attach the other bits to the long end of the pole for harder/further to reach places. It just sucks up everything, things were looking good, but then came the carpet job…

I’m not going to lie, my carpets are full of my missus’ and her family’s hair when they come to visit (so many girls! So much hair!) and it drives me insane. I literally have to cut the hair out of the old stick with a knife after every extended vacuum. With the new IZ, it was really powerful on the carpet mode, but still comparatively quiet. All the dust was being collected like normal. I was ecstatic to see there was no discernible difference in suction power. Again, flexology and the extended reach came in very handy for the kids’ room (beds, wardrobes in corners, etc!). And the fact that I’m not tethered to a cable is brilliant.

After doing all the rooms, I knew I was going to be disappointed to see all the hairs in the motor head, but lo and behold, there wasn’t a single one – Anti-hair wrap works! This alone is a godsend!

The emptying mechanism is so much easier and less messy than the old stick. The battery lasts longer than I thought it would (I actually got about 35 mins in varied modes) and it’s lightweight for me. I really like its foldable stowaway position (it doesn’t fall over and needs no hooks). Again, cordless is a massive plus! But Anti-hair wrap wins this all day, every day for me!

There’re only 2 things I can say negatively about the IZ. The first is the capacity. I did have to empty the dust bucket twice for the whole house clean – the old stick can comfortably do a whole house without needing emptying, but this is nothing that upsets me. The second is that you have to buy an Anti-hair wrap motorised-head pet tool (30.00) for the stairs to get them real clean. This one irks me a bit more, but the positives greatly outweigh this, so I’ll let it slide!

I know I’m an old man, because I’m so damn excited about this vacuum cleaner – it really is like a sad new gadget/toy for me, but it looks great and does the job fantastically well! Definitely no buyer’s remorse here!

This is a great all-round vacuum cleaner. OK the anti-hair wrap technology doesn’t do much, but it hardly takes a minute to clear the hairs that do get wrapped around it. I like the swivelling head, the light to show you where the dust is, and the simplicity of putting it together. It is heavier than I expected but more manageable than our corded vacuum. Tried using it to pick up dog hairs in the car but it’s not really powerful enough. Power is pretty good on carpets and wooden / tiled floors though. The fully-charged battery lasts for ages and is quick to charge. Made me want to do more vacuuming!

So I read several reviews on several websites before I bought this. Its nowhere near as heavy as a standard corded vacuum, much more lighter. Easy to assemble and use, great manoeuvrability as the head swivels easily. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn’t stand upright, it falls backwards! You have to fold it in half to stand it independently. I vacuumed 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen and hallway all hard floor on 1 charge and there was no loss of suction. The headlight really shows up dirt and dust. It wouldn’t vacuum my deep pile mat as it kept getting stuck and the roller heads stopped turning, but that was resolved by using one of the attachments. The charger is just a mains lead, no charging station or wall mount, but that isn’t an issue for me. Its a lot quieter than a corded vacuum so I thought the suction may not be good but it works just as well. You will need to empty the dust bin after each use as it’s capacity is quite small, again not an issue for me. I am really pleased with my purchase!

It does what it’s supposed to, my carpets look almost new.

Drawback is the battery life. On turbo it maybe lasts 20, 30 minutes, tops. Closer to the former. No where near 1hr. On the lowest power setting it’s pretty useless.
    4hrs to charge.

The brushes/hoses that come with it aren’t great, it seems to loose suction with them. But they’re good for cleaning skirting. Basically a glorified duster, with them on.

Still wouldn’t send my hoover back, absolutely love how easy it is to store and the difference it’s made to my carpets. But I was using a Henry for the last year, so I mean, you’re going to see a difference.

It’s easy to manoeuvre, not too heavy (but also not super light), and can reach most places.

You can use it for your car, it’s a bit awkward but it can be done. Either with the main head or with extensions.

    Cleaning it is easy.

Does a decent job on wooden floors (nothing special).

Good for furniture cleaning I tried it on my sofa

Battery life really is a let down, though.

Works brilliantly on our hard floors, doesn’t spit things out the front of the brush like our Dyson handheld did. Picks up leaves really well. Also handles carpets very well indeed.
Bigger and heavier than a Dyson handheld but way better at doing the job.
Not so good on stairs unless you buy a different brush head, the supplied one is a bit too large for stairs.
Battery lasts for ages, longer that the Dyson did.
Only minor grumble is that it doesn’t have a charging dock. However it stands ok against a wall whilst charging via the cable.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo i have been using dyson v11 for 2 years now and I had mixed feelings about it but still used it. my husband brought me the new outsized one which cost 700 pounds… i ended up sending it after a week of using it because its suction was so powerful that it kept thinking it’s airway was blocked when used on the carpets and then it would stop working for hours drove me mad…

We sent it back and brought 2 of this cordless vacuum. Cons are battery life is really bad and takes ages to recharge. The bin just opens up so if anything is stuck you got to pick it out yourself not like dyson where you can push down and up . The vacuum doesn’t stand up on its own unless folded.. the function where you can clean under sofa is good if its laminate or stone not good if its carpet. I personally don’t think the light does much. Its head is in werid shape so it does not get corners.

Pros you get 2 batteries. It is very small to store. Its suction is good. Its price is better then dyson.

Overall i dont regret it i think dyson is just overpriced.. yes its suction is good but a problem on carpets.. however shark didnt have that problem

So I do love this vacuum. It’s got good suction but i do find i keep my finger on the boost trigger all the time which runs out the battery quickly. It’s good for everyday quick vacuums and the fact you can take it off the stick and use it as a handheld is really. well, handy. Especially for quick clean ups after my toddler, easily getting flakes of greggs sausage rolls out of the pushchair and Pom bear crumbs out of the car seat! I could never be ar$ed to get the corded out for these jobs so everything looks a lot cleaner now.
I do find I am still using my old Dyson corded once a week for a ‘proper’ clean but I wouldn’t be without this now. It’s so easy and quick and convenient.

  17. MelaineValladar says:

OK it’s not a dyson v15 nor is it as good as our old miele c3 cylinder but it does a decent job and the battery life is fine.

I don’t find it heavy but I haven’t tried other stick or cordless cleaners.

You may need to use it in turbo mode for other than light duties.

It is also cheap – and has a 5 year warranty so I am happy.

Had it for a few days now and some more thoughts:

    – the floor cleaning tool just happens to slide under our sofa ( dfs standard build ) useful in conjunction with the bend mode of the shaft.

    – it’s just as well because there is NO flex hose available for this model so that you could use it as a mini cylinder cleaner with a crevice tool at the end.

Slightly disappointed by the latter: it would have been a useful add on. The flex hose that Shark sells will not fit this model. The car detailing kit has a flex hose but it is exactly that – for detailing – not heavier duty work. If you can’t get a straight line of sight to use the crevice tool then tough. I cannot use this IZ201 cleaner to valet a car – can’t get under and around car seats etc.

NOTE: one major advantage of the Dyson V7 etc is that a proper extension hose IS available.

On the anti pet hair claim – it works a bit but like all others that I have tried you still need to untangle hair from the rollers and the bearing at the front often.

The turbo floor cleaner has a tendency to jam on loose fit fluffy carpets – just a minor annoyance.

Still haven’t used a full battery charge – had been wondering about getting a spare battery but no need and they are pricey – about 80 quid.

I still don’t think I should have got a different make of stick/upright cleaner but I notice that you can get a cordless “Henry” which might have been more use to clean car/ caravan but not in the house since we also have a Miele corded which will gobble up anything not nailed down if you let it.

    After 2 weeks daily use:

I only would add that it does a reslly good job of picking up right at the edges using the carpet tool.

Switching it to turbo occasionally I find it does a good job of cleaning all but really heavy mess where I would still use a Miele cylinder. In spite of first thoughts, the non turbo mode is quite effective in most situations.

am getting a second battery for convenience – expensive ! but they all are.

We have used 3 different cordless hoovers so far and this is the best of all. The suction is great and the battery life is longer than the ones we have used before. You can see the difference by how much dust and rubbish it collects immediately.
Also, we have a medium pile carpet on our first floor and our previous hoover was no good for it. the carpet started looking old after using that crap hoover for a year. Since we have bought this Shark hoover our carpet is again looking better. Much much better!

Very impressed with this vacuum. I had a Henry before and I can say that this Shark is way much better then the Henry.
The only problem is the battery that is not lasting to much if you use the highest power of it.

The product was purchased to do general house cleaning. I did get a spare battery which did cost quite a lot. Still I have it now. I would say for general house cleaning it is ok and the steer ability is a nice feature. With what we have vacuumed up except for spilt washing up powder the pipework has stayed clear. The fine powder seemed to get stuck although some was deposited in the dust container. Bag less is good. I would only use it for smaller items to suck up. It did get stuck on half a twiglet but eventually managed to do so. It does suck up peanuts using the lead and pipe.. Any heavier job would need a different style of vacuum. Over all it does the job it was intended for but no more. Suction is ok. Watch out for a small piece of black plastic trim falling off the dust collector. It got stuck in the rotary section at the front of the vac. See pictures. Shark customer services were good and stated they would change the vacuum. I said it still appeared to work ok but had to dismantle the front of the vacuum to get it out. My reason for the contact was to highlight the issue. It was stuck on with not very sticky glue. It seemed to serve no useful purpose and I have not re applied it. This customer services agreed with.

Like I have said great for general cleaning. It looks good as well. Battery life is ok. Steer is ok. Extension is ok. The bag for the tools is a nice touch.

Top tip. Make sure to take the battery off before removing rollers at the front or your fingers will get cleaned.

    Easy to use.

I keep this vacuum upstairs so I don’t have to carry up my heavy upright. It works very well on carpets including carpeted stairs. I don’t really use it on hard floors. A single full battery is fine for a thorough vacuum of 4 bedrooms and stairs on medium power but you need both batteries if you use the booster speed. The flexible wand is great being able to go under furniture without going down on your hands and knees.
The flexibility of the floor head on the wand – it wanders around a bit- takes a bit of getting used to after a traditional upright. It’s relatively easy to change the heads once you’ve worked out which buttons to press. You have to remember to switch it off if you’re moving furniture to preserve the battery.
At around 4 Kg it’s not particularly light.

Been wanting to replace my old other 3 vacuum cleaners for ages & not purchased a new one in over 14 years. Had seen this & liked the concept but it was way to expensive for my budget. Then a week before Black Friday I read a report from Martin Lewis recommending the best Shark deals & where to get them. Thanks to Martin I purchased the model I wanted for less than half price from Amazon. Thrilled to bits. It arrived the next day & couldn’t wait to get it out the box. So easy to put together & there was a little bit of charge on the battery so I was able to try it out straight away. Baring in mind I vacuumed the day before, I was astonished how much it picked up. My dog doesnt shread that much fur but suprising what it picks up & copes with long hair fine with the anti- hair wrap. Its light in weight & makes vacuuming the whole house less of a work out. Easy doing stairs as you only need the top section. It comes with a handy bag for the tools. I love the lights at the front as they show up any dust build up on my ceramic flooring & under settees/bed. Its easy to clean & wipe & wash out the dirt section, something I do at least once a month. Its a fantastic vacuum, really happy with purchase would highly recommend. As its Which recommended I knew it would be good, but its even better than expected & all for less than half the price. Resul

Raving about her vacuum seems a little daft, but the reviews let me to believe this would be okay if a little heavy and yet, I think it is much more than that.

I only have a small amount of vision and although I love my cordless Dyson, I did struggle with its manoeuverability and it often got stuck on things.

I think the shark is brilliant to move around, it’s swivels easily and I know it has lots of suction because if it comes across a wire, it chomps it!

Yes, it is heavy if you’re carrying it around but there is an easy way to carry it and because it’s sturdy and well-made, I don’t find the weight a problem. I find it’s also easy to empty and pul lvarious bits apart — something I really struggled with when using my Dyson. I also like the fact that I can plug it in anywhere and again unlike the Dyson, it stands up on its own rather than falling over all the time.

If you are really not able to carry heavy things, this is not for you but otherwise, highly recommended.

  25. Anonymous says:

Firstly, it is top heavy, but actually once you get the hang of it, its managable. Its like a small excited dog that pulls away from you, so you don’t need any effort, it floats away.
Secondly, it folds down very small and takes up hardly any room.
Suction – I am used to my previous Meile raising up carpets and rugs it was so powerful. This is just as powerful but in a different way…somehow, and can go from carpet to rug easily, cleaning without moving them.

I was amazed by some reviews expecting way too much from a vacuum cleaner. I mean, you do have to pick up some things on your floor first – large items or things that would damage the inside! For dust, hair, paper, tissue etc it is excellent. I missed a small coin and it picked that up, but I doubt the vacuum would last if that was done often at high speed into a plastic collector.
It is relatively quiet and although doesn’t seem too powerful, there was a lot more in the see-thru collector than I expected after one go over my hallway! So its more powerful than it seems.
    Takes about 45mins to charge.

Only downside so far is that the main brush is not great at going right to edges, but the accessory does. Stairs are fine with that accessory too.
Because of the weight perhaps not suitable for someone frail doing their stairs.
Overall, I am more than happy. Yay. Good not having leads lying around. Just use quickly and fold down. Sorted.

I’ve used a Dyson for years. Last one was a very and was very happy until I got a dog it clogged up with hair all the time. The shark does not clog up I’ve had it a few weeks now so on the plus side the anti hair tangle works,as you can see from my pic no hair on bottom. It picks up dog hair well and has settings for both hard floor and carpet. Very pleased with suction of machine it does what I need it to do. It is also lots easier to empty than the Dyson. On the negative side there’s no docking port the machine tips up if you don’t fold in half for storage and you have to remove battery to charge. However saying that its Easy to remove and you can plug in where you like. I keep forgetting to plug in and end up with a flat battery. I much preferred the docking station on the dyson as always ready to use. The shark is also alot heavier than the Dyson and the main head is alot bulkier. I would not recommend to an old person or if you have atheritis due to weight.
So my verdict is overall is its bulkier but does the actual job of vacuuming better than the Dyson. So I would recommend the shark if you have pets other wise go for the dyso

I ordered the Shark IZ320UK cordless stick vacuum cleaner twin battery version through Amazon with a good price but having put it all together my head was spinning but not the motorised floor cleaner brushes that really mattered. What to do? I rang Shark directly and eventually got proof of purchase through to them in a format they could process and a few days later they had sorted out everything and I had a working cordless Shark cleaner. Great customer service, great product now it’s fully functioning (very impressive suction and features) so thank you Shark Ninja!!

My eldest daughter recommended this model to me as she has one, and I have to say it’s a lot easier for me to use than trundling a hose-type vacuum behind me with a cable.
I have only had a it a few days, but so far I am really pleased with it compared to my other battery-powered vacuum and my old cabled machine.
As it happens I don’t have any pets, but I am impressed with the suction and the cleaning properties of this machine so far.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSoooo happy with this Shark cordless vaccine cleaner. So much better than my g tech which now will be placed upstairs as a spare to use on newer carpets.that don’t get as mush wear and tear. I was amazed how much dust it collected , even though I used the GTech every day on down stairs carpet.loved the easier glide over carpets and tiles. Loved the move ability of the machine , and loved the bigger dust collecter.the only down side I found was ,it was a bit heavy on my arms.but then again I am 80yrs old and arthritic so I should have expected it to be heavier. On the whole, great buy with great saving on the Black Friday deals.

I had a Bosch Athlet Serie 6 that I got last Black Friday – it was a nightmare. Difficult to empty and clean, the roller clogged up with hair and the filter with dust so quickly I spent more time with it in pieces rather than actually vaccuming. Literally took less than a year before it broke in half at the joint between the handle and the main unit – first the latch securing the 2 parts cracked and required superglueing together, then the plastic guides inside went (probably from the extra lateral movement after parts started to fail). Eventually the entire mechanism between the 2 parts cracked and failed and it was dead.

The Shark feels much better made straight away, and the dual roller head and better motor definitely pick up more than the Bosch. It’s much easier to make portable and comes with a better range of tools/attachments. I’m not sold on the “Flexible” shaft – really can’t think of enough use cases to justify adding another potential point of failure…. unless you REALLY need to store it in a short cupboard??

Interestingly, after the initial charge and use the battery indicators starting flashing in a way that wasn’t listed in the manual – 1st and 3rd LED’s. Apparently this is because the battery cells need to cool down before charging starts again… Interesting that they don’t make this information available in the book because I was panicking that it was going to be a RMA job!

From the moment I unboxed this vaccuum cleaner, I was impressed. Easy to assemble (no screwdrivers or hex keys needed!) and worked immediately after battery charge. Surprised and slightly horrified that it sucked up so much dust (It even sucked up one of my cats toy mice she was not as impressed as I was). There’s a light on the front which helps you see the hair and dust, somehow makes it easier to clean in the dark. It’s very manoeuvrable, too – click a button and it does a back bend under your coffee table! Great purchase of a quality item.

Had this for around a month and so far it’s been brilliant. Far better made than I thought it would be too.
Excellent suction, good for dog hair. Can’t fault it really. Dust container is not huge but it’s sufficient for our house. Battery charge will also do the whole house provided it’s not on ‘mega suction’ mode.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersHad this now for 3 months or so and I can honestly say it is the best wireless hoover we have owned including a vax. My biggest hate of the other two models was hair wrapping around the brush and clogging the parts and the fact that on the backwards motion it would not pick stuff up and on the forward stroke it would push debris around and not suck it it. The shark has none of these issues, there is currently not a strand of hair trapped in the brush, we don’t own a pet but I have 3 long haired woman 🙂 the suction is great and I no longer have to chase debris around the kitchen floor. The weight is a little more than others but not by much to be honest and the pros fully outweigh this. Fully recommend this and very happy so fa

I read some comments that say when you use this hoover for the first time in you house then it’s like your old one didn’t hoover at all. This is exactly how it’s look like. It genius. I’m extremely happy with this purchase. My two friends and sister bought already to. I got it for around four moths now.
Battery last for my two floor , thee bed house.
Suction it’s very good I had three different “good” hoovers before this and I thought they were good till I bought this one.
I use small, extra brush, for stairs as I have to admit it’s little heavy this one so that’s good solution.
I found this great for the floor and carpets- it got special buttons for it.
Compare to my old one I don’t have to take out hair from the brush.
It coming with little tapes with simple instruction that’s will show how to use this.
I can recommend this with my heart.

Bought to replace our ageing Dyson which now won’t go for more than a couple of minutes without giving up. The Shark was chosen (a) because of its famed efficiency with pet hair, and (b) because the Amazon offer was over 100 off!
Certainly works well and is easy to use once you get the hang. The anti-hair-wrap feature is a godsend — no more endless unclogging of the head roller. The two-position switch works well — hard floors/carpets — plus the trigger for a boost when needed. Easy to empty the container. And the canvas bag for accessories is a nice touch. All well thought out, even if Mr Dyson had the basic idea first! But it’s very heavy — OK if you treat it like an old-fashioned upright, instead of a hand-held with a long neck like the Dyson.
Shame it doesn’t have a charging cradle like the Dyson. The trailing cable is awkward, especially when the unit is parked in folded position which means the plug into the battery is underneath.
(Registering for the guarantee on line was an unnecessarily fiddly process — scanning the QR code (once I had found it!) didn’t seem to work.)
If we can get the Dyson fixed we’ll keep that too. And we also have a Henry, which feels like a ‘real’ machine. But overall I would recommend the Shark, especially for houses with pets.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis vacuum is robust but easy to handle. Having 2 batteries is great as you don’t ever have to abandon a job part way through to wait for the battery to recharge – although I vacuumed 2 large rooms and my hall/landing/stairs before the battery ran out. I have 2 dogs so the cleaning is pretty heavy duty.
It also folds away neatly for storage.

What I like most about this vacuum cleaner is how easy it is to empty! My old one was a nightmare and I often anded up having to enlist the help of my neighbour to wrestle it back into one piece. Here, all the pieces slot in and out like a dream and the suction is very good.

It’s so versatile. The top part can become a dust buster with the addition of a small brush.

The top part (with the motor) is a bit heavy and it’s best carried round the house separately.

Much heavier than anticipated. Purchased a GTech 3 weeks later which I far prefer. Use the Shark about customer services once a month for deep clean but already stopped picking up. Shark advised (after 3 phone calls and one hour of being consistently cut off) that I need new filters. They are sending these: I have little faith in that being the problem as the filters are clean and with no sign of wear. Wait and see, but I cannot recommend this product.

I’m really pleased with this vacuum it picks up everything you want it to it will even hover my Next long haired rug which my G-etc animal only ate up and stopped. It’s a bit heavier than a G-etc but I still think that’s something you can get used to very quickly like I did. I also like the way the head moves sideways so you can get round and through my dining chairs without moving them. The no hair wrap seems to work ok I’ve not found any hair round it yet. I also like the way you can park it while using it by folding it in half this allows you stop hovering to move your furniture which you cannot do with a lot of over stick hovers. I live in a 3 bedroom bungalow and I can hover the entire bungalow (7 rooms and 2 hallways) twice before it needs charging. It’s also very handy with its folding in half for hovering under low tables and any furniture that a normal hover won’t reach, it’s a lot better than I expected and far superior to my G-etc so I differently recommend it.

My first ever shark. I do like it and as good as my old stick dyson if not better at cleaning. Came with lots of tools for the stairs as well and uphostry. I like that it bends in the middle to get under tables and furniture. It does weigh heavy though and some of the pine needles from the tree nearby which make its way into the house all the time got stuck in the rotary brush. Charge lasts about 15 mins (Not 40 as advertised) when using the max trigger. Works great on both carpet and hard floor. Build quality is good and I have registred for the 5 year free warranty which hopefully I won’t need but peace of mind if I do.

This hoover is great for us. We have a young child that is always getting glitter and the like over the floor. So easy to get this hoover out and clean up after some messy play.
Easy for the stairs, light enough for us to hold in one hand for all the high reach areas.
The anti tangle isnt perfect but its so much better than our old dyson.

Only thing i would of liked is a clip to keep the crevice nozel on. The amount of times been hoovering the floor, spotted a cob web or the like then realised the tools are downstairs in a seperate bag is annoying.

The suction power doesnt sound as powerful as our old dyson ball but i am always supprised at how much it does actually suck up, quickly filling the hoover bin.

I’ve had 5 Dysons’ of various models.
Always thought they were good vacuums until I purchased the Shark.
The shark is a little heavier than the stick Dyson but so much better.
The anti hair wrap really does work, we are a large family with 2 long haired dogs and it just takes everything, no more cutting off the hair from the bottom!
I use it twice a day and it takes me around 25 minutes to vacuum a 4 bed house.
I have also not found it doesn’t do edges like some people have mentioned.
Nice little bag of accessories too.
The filters are much easier to clean, I just wash them out each week, then once dry put a few drops of Zoflora on them and it always leaves a lovely smell after.
Will never go back to Dyson now.

It’s new so no idea how long I’ll be as happy with it as I am now and I am. Never had a cordless before and that in itself is so great, didn’t realise how much better it would be. The suction power is really good, with 4 cats all with thick fur one longhair, all shedding in the summer heat I really notice the difference between this and other hoovers I’ve had and it’s all to the good for the Shark. Easy to do the stairs using the motorised pet hair tool. I bought that separately as was cheaper that way. The charge lasts well but I would advise getting the model that lasts longer. Most of the time it’s fine but sometimes when doing a more thorough clean of the whole house it needs to be recharged before I can finish. I may buy a second battery. The dust needs to be emptied each use but I’m happy with that as is easily done and I’ve been in the habit of doing that anyway. It’s lightweight easy to handle and for me a pleasure to use. I really like the lights on it, they make a difference. To conclude, let me say I’m 71, not as strong or as steady on my feet as I used to be and this small machine has made one at least daily job much easier and more pleasant. I’m sure my house is cleaner too.

The cordless Shark vacuum is brilliant for just picking up and whizzing round to clear up dirt or dust quickly. The detachable hand piece is extremely useful, and the light that shines on the front of the floor attachment is a revelation for highlighting dirt you can’t immediately see. Very happy with it and has made vacuuming much easier.

Only negatives to it that I can see are:
    1) not great on carpet: the full attachment doesn’t work great on carpet, so if you’ve got carpet floors this might not be great. We have carpet on our stairs and we have to switch out for the hand attachments – this is fine but we only have a relatively small amount of carpet to work with. Anyone else may struggle

    2) only works going forward: as far as I can tell this only works in sucking up dirt if you go over it forwards, not backwards. So on the drag back as you’re pulling it towards you no dirt is seems to be getting sucked up. This is manageable providing you can just manoeuvre in one direction the whole way round

    Love this vac.
Long lasting battery and picks up very well. Love the headlights too, they help you see under furniture. I especially like being able to stand it anywhere because it folds down on its self, other stick cordless vacs have to be leant against something if you need to stop vacuuming while you move furniture etc.
We used to have a Dyson which would have cost nearly 600 to get today’s equivalent. Bought snd returned two different brands before buying and keeping the Shark.
    Would highly recommend..

Great on the stairs – I bought the pet attachment for the stairs and it’s fab.
I’ve got a 4 bed house so bought the extra battery pack, glad I did. If having a quick flick about its fine, but getting in corners, doing skirting boards and those annoying ceiling dangly webs I find having a back up useful. The suction on the boost function is great. My cat sheds continually and it picks up fur no problems.
I find it so much lighter and easier than my corded heavy Dyson. You need to empty the dust chamber more often, but that’s no chore.
I love the flamingo leg action to get under the sofas and coffee table etc!
I’d have like a slide down brush on the crevice tool like the Dyson had but that’s my only criticism.

I actually look forward to vacuuming now! The attachments are fantastic and do a great job on the sofa and curtains. It also works very well on hard floors, such as tiles or wooden floors. It goes around corners with ease and folds nicely to be stored in the cupboard without taking up too much space. Definitely worth every penny!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. I had a cordless off brand hoover that didn’t do a terrible job, but after only 2 years it broke, so I switched back to my trusted Henry. I have hEDS, so Henry was much too cumbersome and heavy to use without injuring myself.
I decided to spend the extra money and get a shark bc I’d heard they’re great and this model seemed small and lightweight. As someone with a disability, I need that.

The Shark is Fantastic. All the suction of a good corded vacuum, without being tethered to the wall. I have 2 sons at home and a cat therefore lots of mess.

It’s easy to set up and put together, easy to use, no messing about on different floor surfaces. Easy to empty, store, change tools, charge. I’ve had no issues with the anti hair wrap and I have long hair. 40mins run time is enough to do my whole house plus. It comes with a bag of tools and I got the pet hair head separately as we’re about to add a puppy to our family. It folds down and fits neatly behind my kitchen door.
The only criticism I have is it’s a bit top heavy, so stairs can be a little awkward.

I’ve been struggling for too long with a vacuum that wasn’t fit for purpose and finally decided to splash out on this Shark vacuum. Honestly, it’s well worth the money and I wish I had done it sooner. No more switching plug sockets to move rooms or being unable to comfortably reach corners of the house. The battery lasts more than long enough to do the whole house in one go and the transition from carpet to vinyl floors is seamless. It even has a light on the front so you can see exactly how terrible your previous vacuum was at lifting dust!

By far the best feature of this item is the anti-hair wrap roller. Not only is this saving me time and effort in continually keeping the suction area clear but it removes hair from carpets instantly. It’s an absolute joy to use and even though I will never love doing the vacuuming, the Shark has made this chore infinitely less painful.

Recently switched from dyson as the cost of replacing the filter every 3 months was ridiculous. I thought previous dyson was good at getting up the pet hair but the first time I used this shark stick vacuum I was really surprised at how much pet hair and dust it pulled out of the rug in my living room. This was just using the normal suction without pulling the trigger for extra suction. It’s alot quieter running motor than dyson and has 2 settings one for carpets and one for hard floors. It’s fairly lightweight and very easy to use. Definitely very pleasef and the fact that I won’t have the cost of filter replacement as often is a big bonus.

So happy with this purchase. Brand recommended by my daughter and despite the cost, it’s worth it. Makes cleaning a breeze. Easy to move from Carpet to wood floor, easy to add attachments and easy to empty the collection bin. Anti hair wrap alas, was no match for the pink fluff that my cushions and throw seem to manufacture almost magically, but it’s just a few minutes to de-fluff the brushes. Interestingly anti hair wrap does work with hair and threads. Suction power is brilliant. Only 3 stars for lightweight as the batter pack does make it heavy but that doesn’t affect manoeuverability and you get used to the weight.

This arrived today and already I love it. Easy to assemble with sensible notes on the appliance so if you’re keen like me you don’t really need to read the book. Lots of good attachments with a bag to keep them together. I love that it can be a hand held or a wand vacuum. So much easier for the stairs. The best bit is the bendy wand so it goes under furniture. An absolutely fantastic feature. And the suction boost is going to be really useful. And it arrived charged up so I could try it out right away. We have a bigger lift away shark but this is ideal for those spaces a heavy vacuum with a cord aren’t suited to, and for a quick whizz round catching all the dust bunnies and dog hair on the hard floors and rugs. Not really that lightweight – the photo of the woman lifting it high up with one hand is far fetched.

I have had this hoover for 3 weeks now and have very mixed feelings about it. I also have a corded Shark hoover which is brilliant, but wanted the cordless one for quickness and pet fir.
    The positives are:
Fast charging time, good 40mins running time between charges, cordless, picks up pet hair.

    The negatives are:
Very top heavy due to motor being at the top of the handle, the handle is quite large so for me with small hands the handle becomes uncomfortable while I’m using it.

On the whole a good hoover.

Having had previous experience of a much more expensive Dyson, I definitely prefer the Shark. Its very efficient, it folds for storage, and its easier than the Dyson to disassemble/reassemble into the various configurations. The dirt container unclips very easily so you can take it out to the bin. I take childish pleasure from the headlights.

The major advantage over the Dyson though, is the fact that its super-easy to remove the battery, either for remote charging or to fit a spare, whereas on the Dyson it was deeply embedded and a major technical challenge to remove. And I speak as a former aircraft engineer. I’m sure that some people, when the battery comes to the end of its life, would simply bin the Dyson and buy a new one, which was probably the idea.

I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Everything about this is a delight – if you enjoy keeping the place clean from time to time. I don’t think it will clean a whole house in one go, the battery for that would be too heavy. But for what we use it for, a room at a time and cleaning up any mess that comes along, it’s great.
The first time you use it, you wonder at the amount of dirt that you’ve been living with up to this point because the cleaner pulls up much more than your previous vacuum cleaner did. After that, it keeps the place clean.

This is extremely handy for hard floors. My wife is a childminder and likes to keep on top of the places and after eating some days it’s a good job. Was a bit fed up of the plug in Van ( good vacuum it’s just the wire plugging in ) so after many years decided a battery one might be useful. She is delighted with it and I must say I think it’s not bad either. Only thing 40 minute battery time? No. I’d give it no more than 25 and that’s mainly in the lowest setting. Thing is it’s a lithium ion battery so no memory for discharge so when it reaches bottom light of the 3 put it on charge again, which can be done on the vacuum no need to remove the battery pack. A 2nd battery is advice but my wife won’t go for it. As a mechanic I use a lot of lithium battery powered tools spare battery or batteries is my advice. Spare approx 79.99 but for some reason Amazon doesn’t ship this to Northern Ireland. Why Amazon? I can get it on eBay and I can get it off Shark UK site shipped to my home address. I like the clean lines of its design and the way each part dismantles, very well thought out. Even though I did
not buy the Pet Care model, we have a long haired cat and it picks up her fur brilliantly. The brush head swivels in all kinds of directions making it less of an effort to hoover and the lights are very useful. It picks up crumbs from my kitchen floor even round the edges without having to use the long tool. The anti wrap is a big bonus, one of the reasons why i chose this Shark. It is also very quiet. I did not give it 5 stars because I do find the motor at the top a little heavy but everything else outweighs this imperfection. My neighbour was impressed when I showed her and she has now bought one.

Let me start by saying I absolutely detest hoovering. It’s the one job I leave til last and dread. However, I absolutely love using this hoover. To be honest though, I’ve only ever had one of those cheap ones with the bag that never seems to clip in properly that you have to drag round after you. Nor was I a fan of changing the plug socket several times in one hoover session. So what I’m trying to say here is my expectations were probably pretty low BUT this has blown me away! It’s cordless so it’s much easier and quicker to move round the house. The attachments clip on and off with ease and the way the top detaches itself makes it really easy to use on the stairs or car. The suction is amazing and I don’t think just in comparison to my previous hoovers. I’m actually embarrassed at how much dust it collected on the first go but even with subsequent uses, there is a lot of dust and hair collected. It’s also really easy to release the dust compartment too. In addition, the head of the hoover swivels really well and the function to ‘bend’ the hoover in half is great for under beds and sofas. I wish I’d invested in one long ago. It is a fantastic model. Some have said they find it heavy but I’m tiny and find it much lighter and easier to use that others I’ve owned so perhaps it’s just personal preference and previous hoovers you may have experienced. I will never buy a hoover with a cord again!

I must say that there was so much hype about the Shark but I am a little disappointed that it did not come with the stairs attachment. You get some attachments but I do think you need the stairs one. It works fine, the battery lasts well and the suction is ok but I have to use the additional power trigger quite a lot. I have rugs and floorboards downstairs so it works downstairs fine, but carpeted stairs and carpeting upstairs and I have to say that I am still waiting for that deeply satisfying feeling of the carpet looking really well hoovered when I use it and not so much.

I wanted a cordless that could charge anywhere, a handheld that had the suction of a full size and was easy to empty and store. This baby has everything you need. It’s not as light as some of the others but that’s because it has stronger suction, and it would have been good if attachments fitted to the body so always in reach rather than stored in a separate bag. I could have just spent 60 on a cheap handheld but knew I’d soon be frustrated. This is a solid well constructed and easy to use vacuum that easily converts to a handheld and back again,,Recommend

Vacuum cleaners have improved dramatically over the last year or so, I decided to ditch my Dyson animal to this brand called Shark, the Dyson was like carrying a small child around it weighs considerably and I’m sure its not good for your posture. I brought this Shark and was very pleased with its performance and out beats the Dyson even though it feels like a feather compared with the Dyson. This appliance is so flexible if I get some dirt on the carpet I don’t need to bend on my hands and knees and get the brush and pan out, I wouldn’t dare to bring out the Dyson for such a small job, it would require some considerable effort. I’m pleased I purchased this cleaner and have no regrets, its cordless and it charges up quickly. Only complaint I have is that when you stand the device it tends to topple over, but nonetheless its a great cleaner and would recommend.

I had seen so many people I know give this a good review that when the time came to replace my powerful Kirby, I really wanted a cordless and this seems the best option.
I have to say, I’ve left it a while before writing a review. I really wanted to love it but alas! my expectations were too high. This does, however, explain my disappointment where others have loved it. All in all, it is probably a very good vacuum cleaner and it certainly does have a good roller on the head – which needs cleaning regularly ( although 6 ppl and two cats.. I may again, be a little too ambitious in my expectation) one thing I do know is that I’d still rather have my chunky Kirby with a clean house than one that feels like it needs bringing out twice a day.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt was very straightforward to put together after I charged the head unit. Until now, we had been using a red Henry cleaner with extra power option. After hoovering the living room without the power lead wrapping round the top, the cleaner toppling over and actually hoovering under the sofas without employing a power lifter to access, i was amazed at the hair, dust and grime in the carpet. It looked clean enough beforehand, but there was a satisfying amount of crud lifted by The Shark and it’s powered brush attachment. The same for upstairs, quite a bit more dust, hair & muck than I had imagined. So far, the Shark is performing as expected, it’s well made, quiet & surprisingly good at finding grey stuff hiding in my cream carpet. It gives you that satisfying suction stripe by really lifting the fibres on my 8 year old carpet. It’s not looking new, but the shark has revived and cleaned well. Pleased with my purchase.

It’s much better for my back than my old Dyson cylinder & I’m no longer in discomfort after cleaning the house. The only slight drawback is that it jams when hoovering lightweight rugs, but I use the handheld instead. My property is relatively small, with mainly slate/wooden floors and it’s not that messy, but you might want to consider a model with extra batteries if you have a family or a larger house.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this cleaner to use upstairs as our Henry is too cumbersome to carry up. It seems to glide over the carpets without any vigorous pushing and pulling so the task is much less tiring than using a traditional corded vacuum. The flexology mechanism allows me to clean under furniture without bending. I always dread having to put new purchases together and usually have to have help, but this was very simple and straightforward. The cleaner comes with little labels attached to help you learn which button is which. One of the best things is the way the cleaner folds over to store very compactly. I haven’t used the animal hair brush yet but when I eventually find a dog I have every confidence that it will work very well. We used to have a Dyson but this Shark beats it hands down in every way. It is worth its price and I highly recommend it.

I spent a long time umming and ahhing over which cordless vacuum to purchase and I’m so pleased I chose this.
The design is sleek in a lovely colour with clever design to fold over for easy storage.
The suction is fantastic and gets out so much dirt from the carpet you wouldn’t know was there. Feels like it’s not doing anything until you look in the collection compartment and it’s full. In fact it’s got such good power it almost pulls itself along.
I was worried it was going to be heavy and it’s not as heavy as I thought it would be. Sure there may be lighter ones, but perhaps not ones that pack a punch like this does.
Battery life lasts really well, just made sure to follow the instructions which tell you how to prepare it properly for best use.
Pet tool is great for using on stairs and sofas etc, really pulls the pet hair out.
Lights are always handy, especially on the laminate flooring to see the crumbs not usually seen.
The switch between laminate/hardwood floor mode is fantastic and the extra power button comes in handy if anything grips onto carpet.
I’d definitely recommend purchasing this, you really won’t be disappointed!

Two months ago we replaced our Dyson and it has been a game changer.
Drop a crumb? Out comes the shark.
Take your socks off and a bit of fluff hits the carpet? Out comes the shark.
It’s been a few hours since you’ve vacuumed? Out comes the shark.
I can’t complain as my wife loves it and I know that I have a similar obsession with irons and ironing boards.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPros: good battery life, great “go flat” feature for under furniture, headlights on the front of the powered suction unit that illuminate *all* the debris, easy to empty bin.
Cons: inability to remove the anti hair wrap roller which results in larger pieces of debris getting wedged behind. If you wonder how much of an issue this is (eg why don’t I just avoid the larger bits) with the go flat technology that means it goes right under furniture and with kittens and kids in the house, stuff ends up under the sofa that can’t be seen, but can be sucked up and trapped resulting in a most unpleasant fishing expedition.

I’m pretty strong, but find the ergonomics of the high power grip are uncomfortable and would be a challenge for someone with less strength or mobility issues.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWhen my vacuum cleaner was put together which was very easy i cleaned all the downstairs and got the shock of my life as the light actually showed all the dust on my floor
I have never had a vac that cleans so thoroughly.
Got a bigger shock when i emptied it as it was full of blonde hair keeping all the dust together.
    All these hairs were mine.
What a fantastic compact product.I actually cant get over all the dust this is a genious vac and the price is amazing.
My rug actually looks better as it has cleaned it better than my old vac ever did.
It hygenically helps my asthma and its not corded.
    FANTASTIC.
I love the fact that its a Shark product the best ever cleaner i have ever bought.
I now can get the dust from under my bed i cant praise it enough.
I have stored mine closed down next to a lamp in my extension behind a unit so you cant even see it from my other room.My old one wouldnt close down
but i still cant get over ALL the dust that i saw on my wooden floor.
    AMAZING PRODUCT.
I would give it 10 out of 10 if i could
And its blue a beautiful colour and we women pick by colour a lot.

Let me start off with that Dyson have had my custom for over 15 years but more recent models have become less impactive. The Shark is the top vacuum in the sea. I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t get around six rooms on one charge (20 mins) but it easily does. I’m glad I didn’t shell out for the twin battery model. It works impressively on hardwood as well as carpets and the boost feature is noticeable. Especially when side onto skirting boards. The smart charge won’t over charge your battery (allegedly) so you don’t have to disconnect it once full. It’s not a massive dust bin but I’ve found the quick empty method easy to use every few days. It sweeps around the rooms via the brush head really well. The motor can be connected directly to the brush head for stairs. It’s only here where I start to find a flaw. As the head is unsprung the head is floppy and if you are fat handed and clumsy you could stress the joint. I simply hold the motor unit and brush head in each hand. Would recommend.

Handy little vacuum, much lighter to push than my small Dyson.
The motor & battery are quite heavy & I think I would struggle with high level dusting for any period of time but not tried it yet.
The anti hair wrap roller work’s quite well but not 100% but I do have two long haired dogs & it picks up brilliantly & usually only need to remove a little hair which comes away with ease.
I have been able to vacuum the whole house in one go & still have juice left in it & that’s with using full power in a couple of rooms.
The only thing I’m not 100% with is vacuuming the stairs as I find the head too wide for them.

I’ve tried so many vacuum cleaners and because I have a quite high pile carpet, I find that they are hard to push and maneuver, which hurts my back. Some have stretch pipes for attachments, which are cumbersome and usually pull the vacuum over. I already have a Shark steam cleaner, which is great, and now I have this Hoover. It is perfect, light, easy fit attachments, Hoover under the bed, glides over carpets and no hair rapped around the brush. I want to use is every day. Highly recommend.
This is a true and honest post!

Note-Run it on your hard floor to get the anti hair wrap working. On carpet it does not clear as efficiently. I have a dog and long hair but no hair in sight when I was done.

I just got my Shark yesterday. I charged it asap and vacuumed the whole house. I have only got the model with one battery but that did the whole house and I went over some places twice to see how long the battery lasted. I have a large 3 bedroomed house with hard floors downstairs and carpet upstairs. I did upstairs first then ran it over my hard floors. I found the vac very easily lasted for a whole house clean and more. No hair wrapped on brushes after I ran it on my hard floors to finish.
The flexing stick was a great bonus and I used it to get under my furniture with ease. I love it so much that I have ordered 2 additional accessory feet today. Next outing we are doing dusting together. I’m looking forward to it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLove this hoover. I bought a cheaper one last year and it was a waste of time. Well worth spending the extra money on a decent brand. Very good suction even on high pile rugs and I like that you can change the settings for laminate flooring etc with a quick slide button. Battery life is really good. We bought the single battery and it lasts a good few goes hoovering 3 large carpeted bedrooms. The wider head is a bit on the heavy side but manoeuvres really well and it means you can stand it up too when storing it. I also really like the fact it folds and makes it really easy to put away. Would definitely recommend

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis was bought on a whim after seeing it demo’d in a store and I’ve never looked back! The design is brilliant, it’s incredibly versatile and folds down for storage. When fully charged, the suction is excellent, although I never bother changing to the less powerful ‘hard floor’ setting. It’s so handy to use the short version, ie. detatched from the floor cleaning head, for picking up crumbs, etc. Thanks to the Shark, I now hardly ever bring out the mains powered vacuum which now sits in the back of the cupboard.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBrilliant Hoover, we had a vax one 32v before this. The suction of that was not good enough as we’ve got a dog that sheds lots of hair! We’ve had the shark for around a month now and it is amazing, the suction is amazing. Got this on prime day for 200 and it worth every penny. I would highly recommend. The anti hair wrap is really good as the vax would consistently get long hair stuck around it. It came with the pet tool and this was great for the sofa and stairs. No complaints plus 5 years warranty!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt glides through the house picking up everything. I sew and so there always bits of thread on the floor where l have missed the bin the thread no longer get tangled on the brush because of hair anti wrap. The carpet which is over 15 years old has never looked so good. Maybe we won’t have to change it for while?? The rugs are all fluffy and looking new again. People say the hoover is heavy the only downside l find is it pulls as it runs along. What surprised me was all the extras brushes etc come with it it’s far better than the old dyson l had.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFantastic item. Suction is is great. For such a good suction it has a fairly light motor. Normally you get good suction like this from a Henry but have to out up with lugging it behind you in the house. With this you get the best of both world. Light weight and great suction. I must say it isn’t as light weight as other cordless vacuum but then, other cordless vacuums aren’t as great with suction as this is. So great buy for great quality.
The light on the front works a treat too, for hard to see places.

One of the best suction vaccum combine with a lighter weight other than conventional vacuums.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe suction and battery life is very good but the main problem is that it doesn’t stand upright unless it is leaning against something. It is top heavy. Luckily I had been warned about this by a friend whose recommendation of the overall hoover made me buy one. There are many knobs and buttons on it but once you get the hang of these two things, it is great. Better than my Dyson battery vacuum cleaners.

So far I’m loving this, the amount of fine particles this picks up is amazing, I have a Miele cat/dog 2200 watts that I still use once a week, it’s a cylinder and still very heavy to drag about, I’ve used my shark right after a thorough vacuuming and still filled the dust pan, it’s so handy to use every day … My only down point and a additional kit is available, is because of the angle of the dust pan n handle you can’t access your car floors very well … But I do love my Baby Shark

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI have an upright Shark already and I have reviewed this item already just after receipt, but having now used this cordless version for some weeks, I really want to say how impressed I am. I will be keeping hold of the old corded one, as I love that too, but this is just a lightweight, efficient little gem. I see the adverts on television saying how many people say the Shark products are good, shame they have not asked me, I would be one more person. Hoovering is no longer a chore. I love it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThank you Shark, finally found a cleaner that suits me! Originally winced at the price – but you get what you pay for, a good cleaner with great suction on carpets, tiles and wood flooring. Didn’t realise I needed headlights on a cleaner but wouldn’t be without them now, stores upright bent in half which is a great space saver, not too heavy to carry up and down stairs, great emptying at the slide of a bar – in fact all in all I am extremely pleased. Charging from flat took about hour and a half, but most of all, the thing that I am so grateful to Shark for – they have made all the buttons, attachment levers and fiddly bits -manicured nail friendly and for this alone I salute you!!

I bought this because I have three flights of stairs to Hoover as well as the rooms and needed something powerful, lightweight, with easy manoeuvrability. Noted good reviews so splashed out on one and don’t regret it . it is so good so easy to use, lightweight, fantastic suction, quick to recharge And easy to empty. I now almost enjoy hoovering!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersShocked at how great this vacuum cleaner really is .., my hetty will be put up for adoption soon. Great suction without dragging up the rug edges (I have lots of rugs and an open fire … so lots of dust) this was evident by the amount of dust collected when I tried it straight after using my hetty. I’m weird satisfied and how much gunk was collected in the cartridge and disposed of easily. If you’re a doubter, take a risk !!!

I loved this at first, then hated it when it lost suction. I took everything apart and cleaned it, still no joy, I wanted to cry, I’ve wanted a shark for so long! Didn’t realise, but the long stick was completely blocked, unblocked it and it’s brilliant again. I think if you’re going to get the most out of this vacuum, then you need to check for blockages at the end of each big cleaning session, might seem a bit of a faff, but it’s worth it! We’re a family of six with a dog, it picks up hair really well, better than any other vacuum I’ve had, including dyson and Henry. It is a bit heavy, but only when used as a handheld, otherwise it pretty much glides and does the vacuuming for you.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis is the first vacuum cleaner that I use of this kind. I have owned Dysons vacuum cleaners before but I decided to get this one for two reasons:

    – Firstly and foremost because I was tired of the constant hair blockages in the head of the Dyson vacuums. In my house live two persons with long hair and this has been a constant issue with the Dyson vacuums. Whilst they have been on guarantee, I received replacements but I had enough.
    – Secondly, I felt attracted about not needing to plug the vacuum in different sockets as I moved around the house.

I am very happy with this vacuum cleaner for various reasons which might be obvious for the regular users of these kind of vacuum but that, as I said before, I am finding beneficial being a first time user.
Its sucking power is quite good (and surprisingly good for a battery operated vacuum vs a corded one) and it is acceptable for my needs. When used on full power + boost on carpets you can see that it leaves the carpet really clean and this can also be seen on the waste deposit which fills in with dust. Likewise it cleans well non-carpeted floors.

In my experience and after having been using the vacuum for about 2 months, the Anti Hair Wrap system works really well and it serves for its purpose. It cleans hair and dust very well and its head has not blocked even once. Another function that has positively surprised me is the bending function of the long stick, which allows you to reach under the table, sofa and low furniture. I thought it was a nice to have but “pffff nothing special”. Actually it works really well and it really keeps these areas clean without the need to move them!

The vacuum charges in about 2 hours and it gives you enough vacuum time to do a medium size home (3 bedrooms, living room, hall and stairs) so long you don’t abuse of the boost power option. To charge it, I take it off all the accessories and leave it discreetly next to a plug socket after each use to make sure it is fully charged for the next use. Likewise the capacity of the waste container is good enough and there is no need to empty it half way through when vacuuming a full house.

I have to say that not everything is nice and hence why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars to this vacuum. I find the vacuum body (the top section which is the vacuum itself) very heavy. This is not incredibly noticeable whilst cleaning with the long stick and floor head on (although you can feel it after a while). But when you can really notice it is when you use any of the other two utensils that come with it (the piece to clean carpets, sofas, upholstery, etc. and the extended reach wand to reach the corners of the ceiling to remove spider webs, etc). I think that its manoeuvrability is difficult due to its weight; let’s put it this way: I don’t think my mother would be able to handle it.

Also, the instructions recommend that when it is stored you can fold it in two to make it less bulky. This is indeed a good idea and it works well, but the reality is that folding it is a nuisance when you could simply put it inside a cabinet extended. The problem with this is gravity! The head of the vacuum on top of it is heavy as I explained before and therefore makes it very unstable if it is not being held. If you opt for the practicability option of simply store it in a cabinet after use without folding it, chances are that the vacuum will fall.

In summary, this vacuum serves its purpose and seems good in what it does. However, it is heavier than what I expected and for its price, I would have expected a lighter device.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersAn amazing vacuum cleaner. Brilliant suction; this is the second vacuum I have had to buy in a six month period. Whilst the other one I got (another brand) was a great vacuum cleaner, it just wasn’t lifting the cat hair from my carpet. This vacuum does an amazing job at doing so and more, and without a special pet attachment being needed. Very impressed. The only negative I would say that it is a wee bit heavier than expected (not too much) and that it is not completely anti – hair gathering as advertised – you still have to pull off tangled hair that is gathered at the bottom of it. Overall the good points outweigh the bad; it also has a very powerful motor – it almost seems like it has a mind of it’s own. Overall, Shark has a very powerful vacuum here.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI wasn’t wowed by this hoover I got it for the anti hair wrap technology which works great, however the suction isn’t that powerful and it’s quite heavy as the motor is near your hand, battery life is ok but seem to need to charge it every time after I use it For the whole house otherwise It doesn’t last the whole time next time, that can be fixed buy just getting another battery, movement is good though easy to use and I like the bend in the centre so it can go under the furniture however it is very top heavy meaning it doesn’t stand up on its own unless you have it in the folded positio

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersCompact vacuum but the motor is disproportionately heavy and thus not converting to a hand held for the elderly frail!
Cleans deep down and copes exceptionally well with moulting golden retrievers!I was so impressed by its performance that it seemed sensible to buy spare filters to ensure good maintenance,BUT finding them for this model was impossible. Shark were extremely helpful and kind, although we now discover there is a delay with this model spares. The company is dealing with this,
If people or dogs ever tread tiny bits of grit into your carpet, think twice before buying one of these. Shark customer services only state the warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage, nor do they explain how to remove grit getting stuck in the mechanism. Utube is more helpful.
This is the first vacuum I have had which has this problem, so in future it’s Gtech or Dyson for me!
