Really easy to assemble this desk, feels solid in design and structure. All in all its a good L shaped desk for the money
As the title says, it’s a decent desk for the price and just about enough room on it for all my stuff. Takes some common sense to assemble so may not be for all 😉 Instructions are awful and my was stickered up wrong so had to use my noggin a little.
Really strong and solid. Could do with taking a leaf out of Ikea’s book when it comes to assembly instructions, but with the aid of reading glasses, a magnifying glass and a bit of trial & error, got there in the end. The slide-out keyboard tray is a bit naff – it comes apart every 5 minutes so I got rid of it but the way i ended up using the desk, with three curved monitors centred on the corner, I wouldn’t have needed it anyway. Overall pretty happy with it, especially for the price.

The unit was packaged in a really well thought through way which meant that everything was undamaged despite the outside box looking very battered.
The instructions are extremely clear with every part very clearly labelled. The text and illustrations were very easy to understand and the steps were logical. There were all the correct tools included even a very nice screwdriver which I will keep in my study. There was even a pack of ‘extras’ just in case. Such a thoughtful touch.
The desk went together exactly as the instructions said and all the pre-drilled holes were in the correct places and the correct size. I built this almost entirely on my own and it took about 1 hour to do most of it.
The only awkward part of the build was the corner and this was not the fault of the desk or the design, simply that I had no space to get around the back of the unit to get at the screws. This meant that there was a bit of faffing between 2 of us to get it all lined up and staying in place while it was screwed in. You will need to bear this in mind if you are putting it into a very crampled space like us.
I didn’t need the keyboard or the stand so I did not build these but, again, the instructions looked very clear.
This is an excellent product and I would not hesitate to buy from this company again.
Good quality materials used, the metal is painted so it won’t rust, the wood is a type of chipboard coated in a thick paint. I’ve had no marks or damage on this desk and have moved house with it. The larger desk can hold a 27″ monitor with two speakers either side and the smaller side is great for a laptop or writing/drawing space. I would buy another desk if I needed another. Great product in total but obviously you could spend more and get more.
It is a bit easy to move unless you have something heavy on it, but it comes with nice reversable desk features and also a desktop hardrive stand which i now am using and is working well.
Only problem was for the rounded corner it doesnt line up 100% which is a bit…er annoying to notice, but it did still screw in together (with a lot of elbow grease and frustration).
It’s an amazing product for the price you are paying. I didn’t put 5 stars because there are details that are under the control of production and were not properly taken care off. However, it’s very easy to assemble. Instructions are clear. You get a quality work station.
Great desk. Only issue which is sort of bugging me now is the corner is rounded. So if you’re putting it into a corner you lose a bit of desk space. But for the price it’s been really good. Easy to assemble too.
Good desk for the price. I’m not sure how long the keyboard tray will last. I doubt that the table will survive a couple rebuilds. If you’re setting this table up be sure that you aren’t going to move it any time soon. It’s a solid desk though and worth the money.
Usually I am reluctant to post reviews as my philosophy is no comment is a good news, but, after contacting Songmics with regards to a spare keyboard shelf (Thank-you Bruce), I have found they are extremely helpful and replied with haste to my request. On the subject of the desk itself, it is very much what I wanted and its very customisable, if you have the know how. Anyway, again, thanks for the assistance and providing a great product, keep up the good work.
The desk gives you lots of room. I have my pc tower in the corner bit under the desk, console on top with a monitor on both straight desk parts.
I did not use the keyboard tray because I hate those things. Instead the block of wood for the tray made a good platform to sit my tower on to raise it up from the carpet.
I’ve had this desk for over 6 years now (bought in May 2017).
It has survived this long without a scratch and could probably survive for another 10 if I had to guess.
My only con is that my desk came with a slight height difference between the corner rounded top to one of the long tops (maybe about 3mm ish) it’s nothing deal-breaking but it is obvious, which has bugged me
Apart from that, the desk supports a lot of weight and doesn’t damage easily.
I would buy this again if I start to notice any damage, but my office has changed so much that it doesn’t fit the space as well anymore.
Would recommend for anyone on a budget, this desk made me fall in love with L-Shape desks 🙂
You can never go back after trying one really
I needed a new desk for my office for a relatively cheap price last year, I browsed high and low on Amazon and other shopping sites.
After hours of browsing & decision making I opted for this L-shaped desk and I wasn’t disappointed.
Although it took a while, assembling the desk was pretty straight forward, the instruction were readable (I guess) and it looks more expensive than it actually is.
Overall, I am very happy with this desk.
Honestly surprised with this desk, when i originally purchased it i was sceptical because of its price (Cheap). When it arrived it took like 15 minutes or so to put together. The manual is easy to understand and every joint is very secure and stable. I initially installed the keyboard tray but removed it as it obstructed my ability to sit in under the desk,but this was just self preference. Over all its a very good product would recommend it, sits very nicely into a corner check out my setup below (Old picture before i removed the keyboard tray) hope this helps 🙂
Delivery arrived a lot earlier than expected. The desk took me a couple of hours to put together, but is fairly simple to assemble and you will save at least 1 hour if you have an electric drill. Very durable build and it’s simply amazing for my home studio needs. I use the keyboard drawer as a rack mount and there’s enough space for a MIDI keyboard (49 keys), a desktop computer, a macbook, 2 huge monitor speakers and I have space to spare. Definitely recommend for recording/gaming setups.
Generally a good quality product for the price, however I’ve deducted 1 star as part of the frame for the corner section that the wooden part sits on was bent so the wood doesn’t sit flush with the rest of the desk.
So I purchased this desk again after selling my old setup (the picture with the 3 monitors and blue leds) as I’m working on making it better than last time, I’ll list a few points.
1) Desk was packaged even better than the last time I purchased, very well protected.
2) The box did once again have holes in it but this time the desk didn’t have chips underneath or on top however on the corner piece on the top side it did have almost like tiny wood chip makes down the sides but washed off with a bit of force and wasn’t a huge issue.
3) Must say this time the desk took longer to put together, I had to keep disassembling it, followed the instructions exactly like last time but for some reason it was a little more difficult than last time but I got there in the end, if you have problems with screws not going in just try flipping parts around, worked for me.
4) Overall very happy again, desk is sturdy, looks great and serves its purpose 🙂
Very happy with this desk, I will list some things below.
1) Fast delivery
2) Box came with marks on it and a few holes but it was packaged rather well.
3) The desk had a few minor chips in it but luckily it was on the bottom so you can’t see them
4) This desk was very cheap, I’d consider it a bargain really for how great it is.
I left an image of the desk, I got it in black and it looks amazing! I also got some LED’s to go under the desk.
i Like the desk so easy to put together took like 30mins after getting it too fix it up, the instructions were so easy i didn’t even bother with them best part of the time. I didn’t bother with the keyboard tray. I am not sure what they do to these desks in the warehouse but they come with chips out of the wood and a hole in the packing but overall its a good desk it does the job. OH it was very fast delivery to me i cant fault them on that….
Though those are the only bad things I have to say about it.
