Good little speaker, a bit of white noise if it’s too loud, but apart from that I like it.
A loud Bluetooth speaker with low latency and pretty good battery life of at least 8 hrs from what I can tell.
Just buy it. It’s pretty loud. Fab base & clear sound for music & as a mic for zoom. This replaces a mic quite easily & its portable. Job done.
Sound was great for the price as well as build quality. You can abuse this lots and it will still work. Battery life as well is amazing. 24 hours at 50% volume absolutely great and great customizability using the sound court app. Love it. Highly recommend i
The speaker has a quality volume and the ability to adjust the sound through the app is great. The battery is not quite 24 hours but still lasts long enough. Good value for money, highly recommend.
This speaker is amazing!! The sound quality, depth and volume are all excellent. I’m amazed something this small can produce so much bass and play loud without distortion. I’ve bought 3 of these now (2 for me), one lives in a tractor, so it’s had its durability and ability to overcome a noisy environment well tested.
Battery life is also great even when playing at high volume for long periods.
For the price this an amazing device.
I bought this in April and already in August it has stopped working. It started switching itself off even when connected to power and now it won’t hold it’s charge, the red light remains on despite being on charge for over 24 hours
After contacting the manufacturer via Amazon, the matter was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. I was given advice how to reset the speaker and as that didn’t work, a new speaker is on it’s way arriving tomorrow. Part of their 18 month warranty.
I liked the speaker, the sound quality was excellent and I like a good bass, the battery normally lasts for as long as I have ever needed it to. I use it daily for many hours. At a loss without it to be honest. Well done and thank you Anker.
Easy to use, great sound out of it and really long battery life.
Excellent value for money very happy with my Anker soundcore speaker.
I love anker speakers, good quality and always good price. My soundcore 3 is no exception, would recommend if you’re not looking to break the bank
Very happy with this. Haven’t got it wet yet though but hopefully it’ll be fine.
Well made. Battery lasts ages. Great sound and all in a small unit. Have bout about 5 of these as gifts now
Sound is good (although I’ve only been using to listen to radio whilst decorating) good battery life, good Bluetooth connection range
Great little Bluetooth speaker. Good sound and very good equaliser app for your phone. All in all worth the money. I always trust Anker products.
I have not previously owned a Bluetooth portable Speaker – and chose ANKER because of their excellent reputation. I am not disappointed with the Soundcore 3 – although its instructions could be a little more detailed.
I brought this as I help out at a church doing music sometimes, and thought it was a good excuse to buy a speaker that I’ve wanted for ages.
On full volume it was loud enough to fill a decent size church hall, and I wasn’t exactly playing heavy metal!
Would recommend.
It’s not Bose as I have one but it is a really lovely speaker to have in the garden. I love the overall sound from this little thing. As said it’s not Bose but I would say it’s a very close second, really happy I have this in my workshop, the Bose can stay safe indoors.
If you’re using the speaker for music then its brilliant. Great sound quality, volume and bass. However when playing video through it, there’s a noticeable delay in the audio.
I bought this Soundcore 3 Bluetooth speaker for streaming radio from my phone, it’s brilliant! one of the best buys I’ve made. I particularly like to play with the equaliser settings on the phone app while in use.
Recommended!
I had previous one, but this one is a new level especially with the app, anyone can adapt the sound to their liking! Anker is definitely under rated brand.
I have tried several small Bluetooth speakers but this is the best. Great volume great battery life.and excellent sound, I drive a bus. Can hear it above all the chatter and noises. Love it.
Liked the size, easy to move around, surprisingly good quality sound for small speaker, good battery life and very importantly download soundcore app as it allows personalisation of sound to your taste (I maxed the bass). Good price, used daily
Sounds great, quality feel, amazing battery and very small / portable. Why would you pay more for another brand when you can have one of these?
Not only is the sound beyond expectation, it is beautifully compact and aesthetically pleasing. Very reasonably priced. I am so pleased.
This was a great buy just for what i needed! A small, portable speaker with plenty of power. The speak volume was very impressive and i personally found the bass just right for indoor use. I took it on holiday and it held up the quality poolside as well as indoors and on a balcony.
I would definitely recommend!!
Bought it to use on holiday & it’s really good. Bluetooth pairing works easily but it doesn’t pair with my old phone (I think it’s the phone’s fault). It pairs with all other devices & the sound quality is good.
Using as a sound bar for my tv. Brilliant battery life. Sound is very full but bass heavy. Be Great for a party. Not particularly cheap but is very well made
This little speaker packs a powerful punch. Great sound with sufficient bass and a battery that seems to just go on and on. At the price point I would say you would be hard pressed to find better. Amazing value for money.
I bought the soundcore 3 cos I was traveling to Nigeria and knowing the unstable power supply there I needed something to keep my soul & spirit intact . I never regretted it, the sound quality is superb and battery life is very good too, the only bad part is folks back home took it from me…..yes, it is that good. Now I have to buy another one.
After a quick online search for “best budget bluetooth speakers”, the Soundcore 3 came out on top of a few lists, so I took a chance and overall, I was not disappointed.
PROS:
What immediately stood out was the clarity of the sound; it’s very easy to pick out bass, middle and treble ranges so your audio sounds great. Very easy to pair with devices (I’ve paired it with 3 separate devices so far), and the dimensions are good, not to cumbersome to carry around but also has a satisfying weight to it. I haven’t tried the app yet, so I haven’t tested the EQ adjustments that can be made, but then my phone’s music app has an EQ setting that I use so I’m not sure if that would even be useful? It might just over-complicate matters.
CONS:
A couple of small nit picks. I personally would have liked some dedicated “skip track back/forward” buttons on the top and there would have been room for them. The rubberized outer shell, while good for gripping and carrying, also feels very much like it will get marked very easily so depending how much you carry this around you can probably expect it to start looking a little beat up quite quickly unfortunately.
At the top end of volume the sound also distorts a bit, but then that’s probably true of any speaker, especially smaller bluetooth ones. (I can’t speak to the waterproof aspect as I have no intention of testing that out and just hope it works if water ever gets anywhere near it!). Does the speaker really need an app? Not everything needs an app, so I doubt I’ll install it as I don’t want to have to set EQ settings on my phone’s music player AND set EQ settings on the speaker, especially as I use it with different devices. That seems like an unnecessary addition.
Overall, it’s a good little speaker, but considering the Soundcore 2 is significantly cheaper (you can get one of those for almost half the price of the Soundcore 3), I have to wonder how much better the Soundcore 3 is compared to it’s predecessor, and should I just have bought that one? So while it’s good, it’s also a little on the expensive side.
It’s incredible how much you can get from soundcore3 . I had a soundcore 2 it was very good too there was nothing wrong with it. Since I came across the new soundcore 3 I had to buy it to try . Now I’m a big fan . Highly recommend from small room or small party
For a portable speaker it is brilliant, loud enough for kitchen and great sound quality. I play amazon music through phone.
This speaker sounds GREAT, very loud, lots of bass, great battery life. Worth twice what I paid for it. Buy it, you won’t regret it.
I like to listen to a variety of music and this speaker really picks out the sounds and doesn’t smear it over with over powerful bass.
if you’re not a kid and want to hear the music and not just be boomed out then this is great.
I’m listening to some Beethoven right now and it’s lovely and clear, later it will be R2 .
Decent enough little speaker but please note there is NO Jack Plug socket so Bluetooth devices only need apply!
Bought this on offer for 35, for this price it is probably the best on the market by quite some margin.
Really bassy sound profile so out of the box suits music genres that favour this, but this can be adjusted via the app. Gets a little distorted at max volume but you’ll be hard pressed to find a speaker that doesn’t and IPX7 is a welcome bonus.
At its usual full price I think it’s in a very crowded field and would be hard to stand out, but if you can get it on offer then 100% get it.
I was expecting reasonable sound and clarity, first impressions are way beyond that. Basically out performing expectations in clarity, tone and volume without loosing a definite base.
Absolutely will recommend to anyone looking for a cost effective solution for music in those odd locations that happen
Have not yet tried in a more open area so cannot comment on how well it does there but will be trying that soo
Sound sometimes “gaps’ for micro second..unsure if Bluetooth error or what, sound is great, although some bass is just a muffled ‘knock’..not a touch on old Sony, but great for the price
For the price, this speaker is really great overall, but I think the bass is somewhat limited compared to the soundcore 2. I think this one is louder though, so it may just be that the soundcore 2 was more balanced. The mids and highs on this are top tier, as advertised, and it’s battery life is insane – the time between charges on this speaker is nuts.
Mine arrived able to play sound perfectly but unable to charge, though it seemed like support handn’t had this issue before so I wouldn’t worry about that. Their support is great though, which is the main reason for writing this review. Hermes lost the speaker when I returned it (typical), but they weren’t phased and shipped me out a replacement anyway. Staff were very friendly and it was sorted out in good time.
Highly recommended for its sound quality, and even more so for the brand that make it and their support team.
The sound is great with lots of bass and no distortion. Haven’t needed to use the option to change equaliser so can’t comment on that but I would highly recommend the speaker. Bought as a gift and my boyfriend loves it.
I got recommended this speaker.
I must says it’s quite impressive little speaker.
The app is really good to adjust the sound quality.
Sound is really clear and when the volume is up is really nice sound.
I have returned some expensive speakers just to have Soundcore product.
It does the job.
The second Anker Sound core I’ve bought. Used with a projector and a significant improvement over the projectors sound quality.
Great size for a portable speaker. Sound is beautifully clear with good base range. Battery life is really good and with the free Soundcore app comes some free music and a great graphic equaliser.
I have not used this on the move only using the battery yet but plugged in to the electrics it has a surprisingly loud clear sound. Hooks up easily to the phone or iPad.
Small Bluetooth speakers like this one will never have window rattlin low end bass, no matter who makes it. The best you can hope for is something that sounds clear smooth and detailed. This little Soundcore ticks all those boxes and also manages to give the sound a spacial feel that defies its tiny size. It’s got the sweetest sound and just makes you want to play all your favourite stuff just to marvel at how good it is. Forget all the nonsense about lack of deep bass, just buy a bigger speaker if that’s your main criteria, this is a fantastic bargain and superbly made too. Buy it, you absolutely will not regret it.
Decent sound for a travel speaker. Not perfect but I’m not an audiophile so happy. Good app support for graphic equalisers.
Loud enough
Good battery life 24 hours seems right.
Intend to take it to Ibiza it’ll do the job on a beach. The casing is mint, robust rubbery feel to it. I like that. Robust.
I like how well made the speaker is.and the sound for a little speaker is amazing and easy to use.
I picked this up on black Friday as it was 35 quid and I know the brand. I love this little product now so consider that money very well spent. It looks the part, sounds fantastic and the battery is good enough to the point where I almost forget it needs charging at all.
I bought this to replace an ageing Anker speaker. I use this with an iPad to watch streamed content and videos when away from home. The lag between picture and audio is awful with this unit. It makes a film unwatchable. If you use it like this look elsewhere. If you just want music it’s great. Sound quality is surprising for such a small device and battery life is great. I’ve gone back to using my original Anker for video from iPad and repurposed this so gave it higher scores than start of my comments hinted a
My reviews are strictly my personal opinion, I expected something louder than this. Not loud enough for me. Hi Anker Do you have a louder one please recommend. While in the max volume in my room, I couldn’t hear it in my kitchen. My kitchen is not far from my room about 10meters apart yet I didn’t hear it. I don’t think this will do much in the beach.
I bought this for my Mum. She likes the sound quality, it’s great battery life , easy to use and it works seamlessly with her iPad .
Great value for money too !
The bass is not as deep as I’d expected and disappears as you increase the volume. The volume is not loud and will definitely not serve if used outdoor. This speaker is definitely overpriced at 40. I wish I had gone for something different
I have to change my rating to 4* as I am super impressed with Anker Customer Support Service in relation to my earlier review. They responded to my comments above and were very helpful, honest and polite. I got a refund for the Soundcore3 and bought a Soundcore Motion Boom which certainly met my expectation. I guess I was expecting too much from the soundcore3 considering the power output (This is entirely my fault as I misjudge the capabilities of a 16W output outdoor). The Soundcore Motion Boom is 30W and would definitely serve the purpose. Soundcore3 is ok indoor with decent sound quality. I understand the upgrade version of the soundcore3 boost has better production at 20W output although I did not go for it as I noticed the Soundcore Motion boom costs less than twice the price at 30W output at the time.
The sound is so much better if you link 2 of these together but finding how to do that took forever. No online videos and the instructions didn’t work. I eventually found the solution in the Qs & As so I’m copying it here for others:
A: pair your two Soundcore3 speakers together via PartyCast per the following steps:
1). Connect one Soundcore 3 speaker to your Bluetooth device via Bluetooth;
2). Press and hold the Bluetooth button of Soundcore 3 for more than 3 seconds, it will flash white slowly;
3). Turn on the second Soundcore 3 and Press and hold the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds to enter PartyCast mode. Once the LED turns slow flash white, please double-tap the Bluetooth button until the white flash quickly;
4). When successfully connected, the Bluetooth LED on the primary speaker will continue flashing white, while on the other there will be a stable light.
Note that you get 2 speakers with the same sound not a left and right stereo sound. For that, you’ll need different speakers altogether. I was disappointed about that. However, using 2 linked speakers made a massive difference to the sound in the room so it was definitely worth buying the second one.
Disclaimer: I did the sound engineering for the plays when I was at school, and I’ve worked with some high end audio systems and been to a lot of live music and festivals.
The bass is quite strong at low volume, which is good. But any higher volume and it gets muffled and too boomy without being able to hear the individual bass notes. It sounds like someone knocking on a heavy wooden box trying to get out. That’s the best way I can describe it. I’ve worked with audio people at festivals so I like to think I know what I’m talking about.
The app is terrible, hard to find what I want I can’t work out how to set my own EQ profiles and give them a name, however it does remember the last settings I had it on.
Battery life is good, I use it quite a lot and have only charged it for the first time out of the box.
It’s good value, and seems well built and sturdy.
It’ll do me for now where I’m living and don’t have my quality sound system here. I look forward to trying it out at home.
Bought one for ensuite bathroom so I can listen to the radio in the shower. It is only used for about 10mins each day. Probably a bit of overkill for LBC but sound quality is excellent. I charged the battery when purchased and have not had to charge it again yet. Solidly built and waterproof. Highly recommended.
Great speaker with amazing battery life, I use it for 8hrs a day at work and the battery lasts around 4/5 days. Great sound quality and easy set up through Bluetooth. I have no hesitation in recommending and product from anker.
My 4 year old, 15 Lidl Bluetooth speaker sadly died, having served me so well! Did a lot of research to find a replacement & decided on the Soundcore 3. So happy I did. It feels heavy & substantial, the outer casing feels silky & the sound is great. The app is really user friendly, haven’t tried customising the settings as I’m happy with the sound quality as it. The sound quality seems good to me & good volume, filled the holiday caravan we were staying in, had to turn it down. Decent volume in the house too. Don’t know enough to go on about specs/intricacies of sound quality but I can say if you want a decent speaker with good sound quality, this Anker is well worth the money.
Another excellent product, got the Sound core earbuds for my birthday and was impressed with their sound quality. This speaker packs a punch as well and if you wanted you could connect it to other Soundcore speakers for a socially distanced party. Boris J is interested in buying one apparently!!
Been always a fan of Soundcore. I had the Soundcore 2 and then purchased the Soundcore 3 and was not disappointed at all. Brilliant battery life and good quality sound. However, off late, it was emitting a jarring sound as if the internal membrane had ruptured and was vibrating with every beat. Contacted Soundcore Customer Support and was promptly issued a replacement after their troubleshooting failed. Very happy with the product and also the customer support. Keep it up Soundcore team.
I have been using this at uni and at home, the sound is surprisingly loud and clear for such a small device. It has a decent sound stage but can be a bit heavy on the bass, this be edited through the eq in the soundcore app which also allows you to add extra speakers (from soundcore) to work at the same time, there is a linus tech tips video where has a hundred soundcore speakers all working together at the same time. The build quality feels good and the wieght has that more premium feel.
I am very impressed with the sound that comes from this little unit, even at low volume. I haven’t listened at maximum volume yet as there has been no need. The sound fills the room well before max volume. I have only one minor criticism and that is the buttons on the top of the device are black as is the unit, which makes them difficult to see. I am delighted with my purchase and heartily recommend it.
Sound quality and volume is decent. Very portable and has a good battery life. A solid improvement on the Soundcore 2. And all for 30 (in the sales)!
I am so glad I bought this.
It is compact, great looking and powerful.
I use it with my phone or tablet.
It exudes quality.
Highly recommended.
Bought this as a gift as we already have one of the soundcore 1 and 3. Excellent product – sound is rich and battery life is amazing. Would highly recommend.
Love the speaker, the bass does amazing job especially when playing music. the volume is not that good when it’s in use with iPhone but it works brilliantly with Android phones, connected with one Huawei Mate 10 pro and one OnePlus 9 phone, the surround sound is truly wonderful to listen, on top of this, once it’s fully charged the speaker can be used for hours, I believe it can play at least 24 hours or even longer and it takes only 2-3 hours to get it fully charged, very satisfied with this brand and the quality
The sound quality was decent and so was the battery life, I got it on sale so it was worth the amount I spent.
Brought this in the black Friday sale, I have the first Anker speaker which was brilliant so when I saw this at a great price I couldn’t turn it down. Sound quality is good. Alot more bass, they also have a app so you can adjust the sound curve to make it sound more to your liking.
Would buy another at the cheaper price.
I’m am in shock with how amazing these sound. I have Bose speakers all around and these knock the socks off them in clarity and range !! Battery is great too and light weight. I ordered 2 and now another 2. I may even get more as linked together is amazing
My Bose speaker died on me. I was never too happy about the lack of some feature. True it lasted 10 years.. But.. So when it stopped working I didn’t want to invest that much money. Having looked at reviews D choices of similar products I decided for anker as I have tried products.
The battery is incredible. I have had this approx 2 weeks, used it daily and last subday a whole afternoon and the battery is still not flat.. Compared to my phone I’d say this is a great feature.
Easy to pair too. Sounds send good to me, even at low volume it folks my room. I am sure there are music buffs that will claim the sound is poor, but I hear the bass & the rest well enough. So I think it’s good value for money.
I may update in a year or do if longevity is an issue
I don’t usually bother with reviews as I buy so much online. This little beauty however deserves a heads up. For the price I can’t believe the sound quality coming out of it. I’ve got a 12,000 separated system with about 5,000 of speakers so I appreciate fidelity. For 30 I can’t fault it. Maybe the midrange is a bit lacking and you’re not getting ‘depth of field’ but this thing is 200mm by 60mm (?) from a relatively old boy (50) who knows a good sound, for the price excelle
Purchased for my wifes recent birthday. She loves to listen to her 80s hits in the shower and had lost the charger for her old speaker so i got her this one.
The build quality is excellent and the item is well packaged. Thankfully there was sufficient charge in the unit when unboxed so she immediately (and easily) paired it to her phone to test.
The sound quality is amazing for such a small unit, and its loud when you want it to be. You’d think that there would be a lack of depth to the sound but it really kicks out the bass when you need it to. Her music to test these things is from the likes of David Guetta, Avicci etc and it performed really well…
It isn’t perfect though… kicking out these banging tunes at high volume results in some attenuation of the bass but this is to be expected really
All in all a fantastic buy, the battery lasts for ages and considering the price it will hopefully last for many years.
Item was delivered in good time, the build quality is really really good, and the sound quality is very very impressive for the cost of the speake
Got to shetland on time, this my 3 anker soundcore speaker had mini and mini 3, now use for one darts night as the hall we are at doesn’t have sound system and the same hall the other day for Christmas fair at 80% battery about 8 hours used everyone it like the sound from i
Really clear sound, good dynamic range. Clearer sound than the Anker soundcore (1), though perhaps not quite so much to be worth the extra money, but still impressive for such a small speaker.
Great portable speaker. Easy to set up. Great sound and tone. Liked it so much we brought 2 more and linked them so we have sound in more than one room at a tims
I bought one of these after someone at work bought the older version of the Soundcore speaker. I was so impressed with the sound I bought one. The newer version sounds even better. The speakers can be connected together so I bought another to have a richer more balanced sound.
The 2 speakers now sit on my desk and sound amazing. I connect one to my iPhone and then connect the 2 speakers together. I have to say for the price and size they sound really good, very impressed.
Bought this to use in a motorhome/in the garden for listening to music from our mobiles, it was so much cheaper than one our friends had but the reviews were great so decided to buy it. Was definitely the right thing to do as the sound quality is really good. I think it’s better than our friends *much* more expensive one….. 🙂
I bought the Soundcore 3 to take on holiday, so I could listen to music anywhere at any time, through my phone. I am really happy with it. It’s easy to set up and to use. The sound is brilliant, very even toned and just perfect! Totally recommend!
This is one of my best purchases of the year… and there have been many many amazon purchases.
The sound quality is superb! Its got a really nice deep bass without being overpowering. I hear theres an app to equalize the sound but Ive not even downloaded it as the sound is perfect as it is.
I’ve not actually charged it yet and ive been using it a few weeks, so the battery life is really good.
It feels like its built really well. It has like a rubbery coating on it which will help stop it getting damaged if you drop it.
I paid around 45 quid for this speaker and it blows any hifi system ive had out of the water. You cant go wrong for that price, highly recommened.
There are probably a lot of audiophiles not giving this system the rating it deserves… id say give it a try, see what you think, if you dont agree with my assesment, send it back.
I’ve owned a Soundcore 2 happily, thought that was excellent, but this is even better. I bought it for 45 and at that price, I’m tempted to say at double that price for a device this size, I can’t imagine you could buy a better Bluetooth speaker. Did some research and many say the Soundcore Boost (same price currently) has more bass but is less clear. This Soundcore 3 is totally clear and crisp and has bass a plenty – haven’t even fiddled with the app yet and I’m tempted not to bother – so I’m very happy with this. I’d say you can’t go wrong!
I owned the soundcore 2 for around 3 years. Handed it over to my younger cousin as an excuse to buy the soundcore 3. Couldn’t be happier with the quality of sound and battery life, the ability to connect 2 speakers is the cherry on top.
It is one of the best speaker out in market for this value. Best function is you can costumize it through the soundcore app.
Total control of your audio preferences via the free app. Want more bass?, adjust using the app. Prefer high end/clean vocals?, adjust in the app.
Great sound quality and battery life.
No issues with Bluetooth connectivity.
3 stars for sound quality – after all its is a portable Bluetooth speaker. That being said, there is a decent depth to the output. Avoid max volume as there are limited radiators to reduce vibration. I’m more than happy with the unit. Top piece of kit. Battery lasts long enough for a couple of nights of music
Was going to buy a JBL charge 4 but my colleges at work insisted that I go for the soundcore 3 as it has more features and does not loose any of its bass when turned up unlike the JBL charge 4, boy am I glad I did sounds great and a full charge lasts me a week at 40% volume during my 8 hour night shift. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to charge like the JBL charge 4 can but I can live with it. 10/10
This is our 3rd Anker soundcore speaker. Exceptional sound quality in compact package ideal for taking on hols, picnics or in the garden. This upgraded version offers longer battery life and offers better water protection. We all decided to have one each as they all get regular use. Sound quality is the best no matter how loud you like your music, no crackling or buzzing .Great value
I have an Anker soundcore 2 excellent product excellent sound. Today i received my soundcore 3. I compared them both using the same phone and same tune. The soundcore 3 came out on top in my opinion. I’m not going to stop using my soundcore 2. The S 2 upstairs the S 3 downstairs. Just hoping a S 4 comes out soon.
+ Solid, well built design; compact; lasts well on a charge; quick to re-charge, latest bluetooth pairs with my phone, laptop etc. (Some older speakers do not!).
+ Good sound quality, equaliser software improves it for my old, noise damaged ears!
Very happy!
This new Soundcore 3 is wicked
Loud, bassy & using the App crystal clear sound for any musical genre or taste.
So small but mind blowingly powerful, at a high volume (Nowhere near maximum) battery power lasts 10-11 hours at a low sociable level 14 hours
The only minus is the rubber casing marks so easily, most washes off with a slightly damp cloth a very little washing up liquid & then after wipe with damp water only cloth…
It’s a good speaker played at low volumes for background music. At higher volumes the bass response and treble clarity is lost. Good value for money
So far it’s been great, at first I thought I’d been swindled and it was very quiet. Turns out I had my phone volume down. As soon as I sorted that it had great sound, the bass is nice, and it’s compact so it’s perfect to take to your broke mate’s houses who don’t own speakers.
I must say — I tried other alternatives — but Anker seems to have the best sounding bass and twitter in the market. The sound quality is just perfect for my ears. And these brag about the Titanium drivers it has; wow – they do sound crisp at the top end.
Downside: the battery doesn’t seem to last long. But could just be my imagination — since I have it 70-90% full volume all the time.
Can recommend 100%
I just love Anker (Soundcore) audio equipment and this little beauty is an addition to speakers I already own from Anker.
As always with Anker products, they come superbly packaged, so that your prized item is in perfect condition when it reaches you.
This Soundcore 3 was 75% charged when I opened the box and it did not take long to reach 100%. Yes, they even provide a USB-C lead to charge your speaker and a decent length too,
Connecting to Bluetooth was very swift and linked it to the SoundCore app, in which i already have installed for other Soundcore speakers and earbuds I own.
It immediately downloaded and installed an updated Firmware and then, it was ready for music.
I like all genres of music; Rock, Pop, Classical and so, it was good to try out various equalised settings.
The Soundcore 3 section of the app has preset equalise settings (Soundcore Signature, Voice, Treble Boost and Balanced) but it was nice to use the actual Custom equaliser to set my own Bass, Mids and Treble to get the same balance as my other Motion+ speaker.
The sound is great both at low and high volume but it isn’t too keen on heavy Bass at high volumes when using custom equaliser. Fine, then you reduce the 80Hz slider to approx +6 dB. Rotate the speaker 180 degrees, so that the Bass port is facing you and the speaker drivers are facing away and you have perfect sound.
It’s just a perfect all-round speaker and being waterproof too, you can take it into the bathroom and listen to music whilst you soak.
There are many portable speakers out there and you get what you pay for. With Anker, you always get top quality and ALL my bluetooth speakers in my home, are Anker Soundcore.
Add this to your cart. You will not be disappointed.
Thanks for reading 🙂
This item was bought as a present. It’s the upgraded model of the one that I already have. As it hasn’t been gifted yet I can’t comment but I can tell you that if it’s better than the one I already have, Soundcore 2, then it’ll be fab. The sound quality is fab, they are easy to use and very portable. I take mine abroad, use it in the back garden and in the house too. I can’t recommend highly enough. An amazing peice of kit!
My speaker arrived today, and it hasn’t been turned off since. Partly because the battery just won’t run out.
I brought this as a replacement for a cheap bluetooth speaker that I had been using while travelling. I purchased that for 20 mainly because it was durable and by only spending 20 sound quality was only going to be okay. But this isn’t a review about that speaker, more to provide perspective on my previous experience with Bluetooth speakers.
When not listening through speakers I will usually listen with over the ear headphone that are hi-res audio certified. (Again perspective of what quality I’m used to experiencing)
When I turned on the SoundCore 3 and started playing a mix of music, I was instantly blown away by not just it’s sound quality, but the depth of the bass, and crispness of the treble. At maximum volume there appears to be very little if any distortion, and with the equaliser provided by the companion app, I’m certain you could tune any distortion out. But in all honest I doubt you will need to put this at full volume unless your planning to fill you whole house from one speaker.
Pairing was hassle free. My bluetooth is permentantly on at the moment and with in seconds of turning on the speaker it found and connected to my phone before I could even pick it up.
When searching for a Bluetooth speaker I did originally look at JBL but after looking into the SoundCore, and seeing it offered stero sound (unlike the similar priced JBL options) 24 hour battery life, I was willing to try the would be successor to Amazon’s Best Selling Bluetooth Speaker, the Soundcore 2
Well that gamble has paid off and them some. This speaker is the JBL killer, and while it may be tempting to go for the 20-30 option this is worth every penny and more.
When it arrived I was a little surprised with the size and as we all know, when it comes to speakers, size matters.
Once set up however it was a greater surprise to hear the sound quality. I don’t know how they do it but the sound is great.
Good value and great sound.
Good sounding speaker good bass at around 50-70% volume but it suppressed at higher volumes to provent distortion which there is non. Nice clear vocals and nice highs. Good build quality nice weight. I wouldnt of paid the full 60 as there is better in that price range but 46 at current discounted price is a good price and more reasonable.
Otherwise highly recommend the speaker for listening while chilling out, walking, biking or work etc
I like that You can customize the sound eq with the app.and with the app you can allso turn of the start up sound witch I like because I don’t like start up tones very much because they are sometimes to loud. And it remembers the volume you left it.you can do ture wireless stereo with another one of them. And party cast.it can go to avery low volume there is no interference in the background. but it does not have an auxiliary input but apart from that. Fantastic! The sound is much better than the soundcore 2. Not so muffled a lot brighter sound.and clear vocals and instruments sound more realistic. Hope this help you. Thanks roger.
