Excellent value for money only was disappointed that it did not come with three mounting nuts and bolts.

c’est du trs gros et trs lourd pas pour le bricolage, c’est du professionnel et encore pour ceux qui travaillent le mtal. dtail qui me dplait, les points de fixation de cet taux font qu’on ne peut pas faire dpasser la mchoire de l’tabli pour travailler un objet en hauteur….
Good quality
Spent a while reading reviews across the Internet and finally bought the Stanley Maxsteel. The reviews were generally accurate and this a well made vice that I think will last many years for the occasional use it gets on my work bench. Unless you want to spend a lot more this is worth buying. I successfully used 3 12mm bolts to fix it my bench although ideally 14mm should have been used. A good buy

Seems good quality and much beefier construction than the same size 4″ vices on ebay etc.
The handle have rubber bump stups with is a nice touch, and the swivel mechanism seems to lock in place well (unlike cheaper blue ebay etc ones).
Jaws also open up nice and wide.
Comes with 3 mounting holes – some pictures seem to show 4, but current stock/model is 3. Fine is secured properly to a solid workbench.
One thing I noticed when hammering tent pegs straight on the anvil – it left marks/slight dents on the anvil surface, so this seems to be a bit soft maybe.
Time will tell – but hence 4 stars. I suspect it needs to be better hardened on the anvil.
UN BEL ETAU SOLIDE
Un tau trs lourd qui parat bien solide. Fix sur un tabli trs rcemment, cet tau a dj bien servi sans aucun souci. C’est devenu une pice matresse de mon atelier, je m’en sers trs souvent et il m’a dj rendu beaucoup de services. J’espre qu’il durera dans le temps mais sa conception me laisse penser que ce sera le cas !

I had some items that I needed the vise jaws to open wide. my old vise was not able to open any where near as this one does. I am very happy with it. I have been using it for 9 months now.

Est muy bien acabado. Slo deberan quitarle las virutas de metal sobrantes de su fabricacin. Quedan restos molestos que hay que limpiar. Pero es un tornillo de gran calidad. El tornillo queda cubierto para que no caigan restos de material de trabajo sobre el mismo que puedan estropearlo.

ottima morsa ho notato per che aprendola tutta finiva fuori sede e non si chiudeva pi quindi ho fatto un foro sul carter della vite l’ho filettato e ho aggiunto una vite come finecorsa ho perso un centimetro di apertura ma posso aprirla tutta che non esce pi nulla!

Un producto que para su precio no est mal, parece robusto, es pesado ,pero no es para un uso profesional, para cualquier casa es mas que suficiente, tiene algo de holgura en el carril pero aprieta paralelo y bien, abre y cierra sin esfuerzo, para ser de fundicion no esta mal
Good Quality Small Vice
Bought the vice when I had a new shed. Built the vice onto a board which allows me to easily mount it on either my fixed work bench or my Black and Decker Workmate Bench for greater flexibility. It does everything a small vice should and has worked effectively on all the small jobs that I have used it for.

Quien haya usado tornillos profesionales, se dar cuenta que es amateur, pero es excelente en relacin a su precio. Tiene algo de juego, poco, y la terminacin es un poco basta en relacin a otras de marcas reconocidas, que cuestan 5 veces mas. Pero no es una herramienta para hacer delicadezas, sino para trabajos duros.

Un bmol cependant sur le systme de blocage de l’axe pivotant, il faut serrer trs fort (avec un petit bras de levier) sur les 2 vis sinon l’tau tourne quand mme.
Une des 2 paires de mors conseille en complment n’est pas compatible car les pastilles aimantes tombent en face des trous et se dcalent pour coller au mtal ct.

Can't fault i
6″ jaws adequate for most DIY jobs. Very smooth rotation and spin. Nice casting. The three retention points seem a little overkill for a vice this size I would prefer two. I doubt I will use the turntable but it works okay.

Would not normally use Amazon for this type of purchase but after much research this represented the best VFM. Great piece of quality kit as you would expect from Stanley. Really well built/engineered and does the job very well indeed. Easy to install and the rotating base is a revelation.

Good vise
I think this is a very good vise for its price range. I have had mine for 4 month and it’s still great. The only thing is that its a bit loose and has a bit of wobble when opening it.

It has a very solid heavy-duty feel and good value for money. I would have liked, but could not find, a quick release version instead. But for the number of times I am likely use it domestically, it will not matter.

Es ms o menos como lo esperado, tiene poca olgura en el desplazamiento de las mordazas y las mismas bienen bastante bien paralelas, la pintura tambin est en buen estado y el sistema de giro de 360 grados esta bien para unas cosas y perjudica para otras. Lo que menos me gusta son lo que parecen ser fallos en el hierro colado que a la larga podran dar problemas aunque en mi caso no creo ya que no voy a darle un uso intensivo. TODO ESTO TENIDO EN CUENTA QUE LO COMPRE EN OFERTA POR 54 EUROS.
Brilliant Vice
I got this to put on my bench in the garage, it was easy to install and I have been using it now for several months, sawing, drilling and hammering on it, its solid. The sival system works great, I would recommend getting some grease to keep the Worm Tread lubed up and it will last you for years.

Le jeu dans la vis sans fin est plus que satisfaisant.
La peinture n’a pas l’air trs durable mais pour le prix le rapport qualit prix est bonne.
Solid vice for home use
I like the versatility, being able to rotate the vice dependant on the job at hand.

Not bad for the price.
Quite a sturdy vice, not quite as sturdy as the record vices I’m use to, but still very good for the money. Only down side this vice doesn’t come with mounting bolts. I used M16 bolts to mount the vice to my work bench, for the optimal sturdiness. Swivel lock off seems ok at the moment whilst the vice is new, but may be effected over time by constant use, as some people have reported. But overall impressed about a vice of this size at this price point.

Ich habe mir vor ein einhalb Jahre den 2200kg Schraubstock fr Daheim bestellt und Nutz ihn auch fters. Ich bin Metallbauer und ich muss auf jedenfall sagen das der Schraubstock fr Zuhause voll kommt ausreicht ist weil ich habe schon die meisten blichen Sachen Gebogen Rohre bis 42×2-3mm oder Flachstahle bis 10mm ohne es anzuschneiden .

Well made and reasonably priced. Only negative is that it has to be mounted very close to the bench edge to allow longer workpieces to extend below the bench edge.

The Bolt holes cause you to use large fixings which is just as well, the ability to grip outweighs the stability of most benches, reminds me of my apprenticeship. I would have liked the Quick release mechanism, but for the price I can’t complain. A+

Lo he comprado para sustituir uno con mas de 60 aos y muy deteriorado. Quera algo parecido al que tena.
Se trata de un tornillo semi- profesional, que cumplir sobradamente las necesidades de un bricolador de fin de semana o de un profesional que no se dedique a la herrera . El tornillo abre 150 mm ( foto 1) mas que suficiente para trabajos corrientes. La anchura de las mordazas es 150 mm y ajustan bastante bien para su funcin , no se trata de un tornillo para una fresadora. La holgura de deslizamiento es correcta para unas guas prismticas rectas.
Me ha llamado la atencin que utilizan en la fabricacin una fundicin maleable de acero y una pieza en forma de U que es de acero laminado ver las soldaduras de ambas piezas en la foto 3, esto es una buena cosa porque las estructura de acero laminado va a soportar muy bien las tensiones de trabajo, ver las fotos
Las mordazas pueden ser complementadas fcilmente con mordazas blandas de aluminio o plstico de forma sencilla y directa. Ademas cuenta con mordazas para tubos Foto 2, esto hace aos era interesante actualmente se emplea poco las mordazas de tubos.
El tornillo de prensado foto 3 es mejorable tanto el juego axial que no se compensa con un muelle como es tpico ni tampoco lleva cojinetes de rodillo como los profesionales pero esto se podra aadir sin mucho problema con posterioridad.
Donde el tonillo es mejorable es en el sistema de giro, en principio los tornillo profesionales raramente giran , los mecanismos de giro hacen perder estabilidad y solidez. En este tornillo el sistema es mas bien pobre ( Foto 4) una pletina de 5 mm de espesor soporta la fijacin de dos tornillos de M8 a mi juicio un poco justo en cuanto hagamos esfuerzos de giro.
En general un buen tornillo, excelente calidad precio y algunas limitaciones cuando le exijamos un poco en giro.
Aado estos comentarios sobre el asunto del giro. Cuando he comenzado ha emplearlo en la realidad del taller he descubierto que el tornillo soporta mal el giro y no es que yo haga el bestia como algunos individuos en youtube rompiendo tornillos. Asi la situacin le busque un remedio inmovilizando el tornillo en su posicin normal . Disee y constru la pieza que se ve en rojo en las fotos y se acabaron los problemas. Con una barra de un metro de largo fui incapaz de que se moviera el tornillo me llevaba el banco entero. Si hacis la pieza debis adaptarla a vuestras necesidades de banco de trabajo y no olvidar las lengetas para evitar el efecto de par sobre el tornillo de M16, espero que os ayude si tenis el problema. Por cierto estoy cansado de hacer re-ingeniera para grandes marcas esto no es la primera vez que tengo que intervenir.

No es un tornillo profesional pero para trabajos caseros es ms que suficiente. Adems es bastante grande y robusto, aunque tiene un poquito de holgura. Claro que, si quieres algo de mejor calidad, tienes que gastar entre 150 y 200 ms.
Buena relacin calidad/precio.
Lo estoy usando con frecuencia (casi a diario) y si me d problemas, reeditar la resea.

Looks great, very solid but a bit wobbly when opening and shutting the jaws but it does not hinder the grip. The handle is loose and could be made to slide less easily as it affects in what position you want to hold it. Overall for 60 I thing you get a decent quality

Solid vice. Reliable and just the job. With something like a vice, you’re not looking fo bells and whistles. You want something that’s strong and dependable. This fits the bill.

Solid tool
Very solid decent vice. Only problem is it came with one small screw missing on one of the jaws. The proposed solution was to send it back for replacement (proposed by Stanley!) which is crazy when you consider the screw costs a few pence and we are talking about return shipping of several kilos! Finally ordered screw myself and very happy with this vice.
I’ve recently had a new shed which I’ve turned into a small workshop and one of the first things I did was make a solid bench onto which I put this vice. I nearly got the 6 inch, but as I’m not going to be using it for really heavy work and am limited for space, I thought the 4 inch would suit me. And its a brilliant little thing. I was a bit shocked to see just how much smaller than a 6 inch it was. But I fitted it to my bench and gave it a test and it passed! Small it may be but its so well made and very, very sturdy. I’m pleased I went for this one now and its so nice to know that the next time I have to shorten a bolt or cut some pipe etc. I’ve got this little beauty to hold it for me. Highly recommended.

For a diy/hobbyist use it’s more than efficient. Unless you planning to bang on it with sledgehammer, it should last you a lifetime.

Acabo de quedarme alucinado tras ver que su precio aument a casi el doble de por lo que lo compr, es de gran tamao, tiene todo lo que se requiere y qu ms decir, espero que dure lo mismo que yo!!!
Lo mejor de todo sin duda ha sido el precio, un tornillo de esas dimensiones y caractersticas por 79 euros, creo que no lo encontrara en ningn otro sitio. En cuanto a los materiales, despus de tener otros tres tornillos ms, pues comentar que est bien acabado y la dureza se ver con el tiempo y trabajo soportado. Evidentemente no tiene los materiales empleados en tornillos profesionales, ni antiguos, pero es que ninguno de los profesionales que he visto est fabricado como antes, aunque de momento aguanta bastante bien. La precisin y suavidad en el funcionamiento est muy bien, no llega a ser perfecta en movimientos, pero como ya digo est bastante bien, si quieres mejorarla tendrs que irte a los profesionales en ese tamao. Tiene muchsima fuerza, el agarre lo resiste bien con cosas pesadas, lo tengo en una nave para trabajos en maquinaria agrcola. Sin duda lo volvera a comprar.
