Not that bright, depends where you need it. Took ages to link wireless. Cheaper, brighter lights on the market.
Purchased this garden spot light to replace one purchased 9 months earlier, this time paid a lot more for German engineering and quality and what a difference, worth every penny and would highly recommend

somewhat disappointed with the light output of this quite expensive light., but appears to be well made.
Sturdy security light, looks good on the wall. Motion detector very efficient. The illumination is bright and covers quite a good area.
Installed 2 years ago and has been completely trouble free. Well designed and made and looks great on the outside wall. Modular design makes it easy to install, and the is highly adjustable for both the light and the PIR direction separately, which is exactly what I needed. PIR is sensitive from a decent distance. I find the light output is fairly mediocre and the warm white colour temperature is a bit dated for a floodlight, but these specs are all disclosed in the description. Unfortunately Steinel don’t do a 4000k version of this model, although they do a higher lumens output version.
Easy to install good motion detection and lights my patio very well.
I added fixed a 3D printed cover for additional weather protection.
This is our third light of this type that we have purchased . With living beside the sea they are great as they do not corrode . It is easy to Install and gives a lovely bright beam from dusk to dawn . Would definitely recommend .
Brilliant light, good quality product, easy to install and good motion detection, use it to light up driveway when reversing onto it. All the settings are controlled via an app that is basic and easy to use.
das ist ein guter Kauf. Ich gebe Euch eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Einziger Punktabzug, die Steinel wird mit Lsterklemme angeliefert. Ich bevorzuge da doch moderneres Equipment nmlich WAGO Klemmen.
Der LED Strahler hat sich leicht montiert lassen. Die Helligkeit ist sehr gut und den Bewegungsmelder kann man nach Beliebig einstellen. Dieser Strahler ist wirklich ein Spitzenprodukt fr einen guten Preis.

Aprs avoir commande en premier temps une lampe d’un autre fabricant (chinois) avec un capteur de trs mauvaise qualit, j’ai command une Steinel.
J’en suis trs content et chose souligner : elle est fabriqu en Europe.
Je recommande cette lampe.
Overall very happy – the motion sensor could detect a little further out for my liking but will play with the settings a bit more and see what happens. I never know how to judge what the brightness of these lights will really be in the real world but this is a super bright white light which was exactly what I wanted as we had a fairly big area to cover. Previously used an old halogen spot light which worked amazingly but this new light is just as good and actually has a wider light coverage than the old school bulb. Very simple to install and is working fine so far (1 month in).
I bought one of these and had an electrician put it up on the front of my garage as part of a rewire in October 2017. I think he may have given it a knock when installing it, as some time later I noticed a crack on the side of the housing. A couple of years later the front fell off the lens in the wind, revealing the LED’s. I glued it back on. A year or so later it fell off again and I glued it back again.
Eventually, in December 2021 I was walking past the light and it came on as normal then after a few seconds blew with a flash and a loud crackle that my wife heard from inside the house. Obviously it tripped the circuit. I was not surprised to find that it was full of water, and was surprised it had lasted so long after the front cover had been glued back on.
I like the look of the light and the way it works so ordered another one to replace it right away. It only took me about 5 minutes to fit the new one as the backplate design it still the same and I used the old one that was already attached to the garage wall, so it is just a few wires to connect to the terminal block and one screw to attach the light to the back plate. The new one has a warmer light than the old one and looks brighter to both myself and my wife, although the wattage is the same.
The motion detection on these is great and you don’t get any “false alarms”, as they only come on when something like a person, cat etc comes into range.
Despite what some people have said, I have found that the lights can be moved by the wind. Not a problem for me as it is mounted quite low and I can just reach up and readjust the angle, but both the light itself and the PIR sensor on my old one moved several times in the wind over the 4 years I had it. There is a strong feeling click action on the adjustment for the light itself but strong wind DOES move it. The PIR moves around more easily. This might be a point worth considering if you are going to mount it high up.
It remains to be seen if the front falls off this one or that only happened to the old one due to some damage when the electrician installed it. I am hopeful that the product itself is good, hence why I bought a second one.
I have the higher wattage version of this light installed on the back of my garage pointing at my garden, it was installed in October 2017 and is still going strong with no issues, and that one has never moved in the wind at all.
Rundum eine sehr gelungene Konstruktion bis auf die Kabeleinfhrung von der Unterseite. Das ist fummelig mit der Gummidichtung, aber man kriegt’s hin.
Die Flexibilitt in der EInstellung ist nicht zu bertreffen und das Licht ist wirklich sehr gut.
Vier Sterne, weil die erste Lampe defekt war und nicht ausgeschaltet hat. Die zweite funktioniert einwandfrei.
Das Gert macht wahnsinnig viel Licht. Erfllt die Erwartungen voll und ganz.
Leicht anzubringen. Gute Verarbeitung. Lngerer Zeitaufwand bei der Einstellung. Danach aber Top.
Ich verwende diesen Artikel als Eingangsbeleuchtung fr meine Eingangstr. Bin zufrieden damit, weil der Strahler einen guten Bewegungsmelder besitzt und eine sehr hohe Leuchtkraft entwickelt.
Das Produkt funktioniert einwandfrei.Montage auch fr Laien geeignet.Da meine ltere LED Lampe an der Garage bei niedrigen Temperaturen nicht mehr einwandfrei funktionierte , kaufte ich mir diese LED Lampe von Steinel. Dadurch man zum einen das LED Paneel, sowie auch den Bewegungsmelder in geeignete Weise ausrichten kann, habe ich mich fr dieses Produkt entschieden und bin positiv berrascht.Komplett zufrieden.
Wir haben den Bluetooth Strahler bestellt. Der Strahler ist sehr schn und leicht zu installieren.
Die Helligkeit ist sehr gut fr unsere garangeneinfahrt.
In der Gebrauchsanweisung war ein Fehler betreffend der App die benutzt werden muss.
Schade dass es keine Gebrauchsanweisung oder Erklrung der App gibt,

Being a single unit makes this easy to install. The light and the sensor are separately adjustable for their direction. This meant I could direct the light to avoid nuisance to neighbours while still pointing the sensor where it needed to detect people.
Gekauft und verkauft von Amazon im September 2019, leuchtete der Beamer im Mai 2021 nicht mehr, die Herstellergarantie galt weiterhin. Ich habe Amazon um 23:00 Uhr eine E-Mail geschickt und am nchsten Tag um 6:14 Uhr eine Antwort erhalten, dass sie mir einen neuen Projektor geschickt haben, den ich 3 Tage spter erhalten habe. Ich habe das defekte mit allem Zubehr portofrei zurckgesendet.

Etwas frickelige Montage dank der drei Abstandshalter. Jedes mal fllt einer ab, aber dann hat es doch geklappt. Macht ordentlich helles Licht. Anleitung und Aufkleber fr Erfassungswinkelreduzierung ist auch bei….
Man kann die Leuchte und auch den Sensor im Winkel den Bedrfnissen vor Ort anpassen.

Possibly one of the easiest installs to date. Fit the backplate first using the 3 spacers provided to allow the cable access via the provided grommet. What looks like a standard wiring block attached to the wires inside the light unit itself is actually a plug! Really clever! Separating the 2 halves of the plug means that you can put the light aside whilst you do the wiring then simply plug the light in, hook the body over the top of the backplate, swing it down and closed then insert the screw….job done! Make desired adjustments to PIR, point it down and swing the light over. Both can also be moved left or right.
Nice bright light, a warmer light than the halogen it replaced. Plug is clearly marked for wiring but the instructions left much to be desired. The purple wires are for linking the light to others so not necessarily required but instructions don’t mention that which can be confusing.

Die Strahler lassen sich einfach einstellen und funktionieren einwandfrei.
Habe diese an der Garageneinfahrt montiert.
Mir ging es besonders um die Einstellung der Reichweite, sodass die Strahler nicht bei jedem vorbei fahrenden Auto anspringen und dies ist hier nicht der Fall!

Lieferzeit wie immer schnell und zuverlssig durch Amazon.
Schnelle Lieferung, einfache Montage, wobei die Kabeldurchfhrung leider nicht genau mittig plaziert ist, da muss man ein wenig improvisieren wenn das Kabel schon verlegt ist. Toll ist der Stecker (man sieht ihn fast nicht, daher empfiehlt es sich auch fr alte Hasen die Montageanleitung zu lesen! ;-)). Der Bewegungsmelder (bei mir ist die Lampe am Giebel in ca. 5m Hhe montiert) ist perfekt zu justieren und funktioniert sehr zuverlssig (kein vorbei schleichen mglich). Das Licht ist wunderbar hell und gleichmig, ohne zu blenden, dazu noch ein sehr angenehmer Farbton. Eine Lampe 14W leicht vllig aus um eine Flche von 10m x 10m gut auszuleuchten.

Looks good and generally works very well, but design could be improved if installed in a windy location. The plug-in connector makes installation a breeze compared to other lamps, good (independent) adjustment for the sensor and beam angles and a decent amount of light. But… the vertical tilt adjustment on the lamp relies on internal plastic notches on the hinge to keep it at the desired angle, with no way to clamp it in position. So in a decent wind it may get blown flat (lamp pointing vertically down) whereupon the lamp housing can fill up with rainwater, blowing the (non-serviceable) thin-wire fuse.
Happy overall after Steinel replaced the failed unit and the new one has a few design changes including a slightly stiffer hinge, but may still try to figure out a way to lock it in position.

Super product – made in Germany so hasn’t suffered the same fate of many similar Chinese products I have purchased which simply aren’t of the same quality, reliability or value for money.

I installed 2 of these down the side alley of my house where they were replacing some old flood lights. I have them angled horizontally and they look really cool, kind of like street lights. The light itself is quite a cold, natural white. The CRI is excellent. They’re really good for lighting smaller areas.
I like the design of this spotlight in that the lamp head moves easily in several directions; the diffuser on the lamp stops you and your neighbours being blinded; there are no exposed metal parts on the lamp that could rust overtime in a UK winter.
Ein toller Strahler. Die Helligkeit ist sehr gut. Der Bewegungssensor arbeitet sehr zuverlssig und genau. Ich habe mich bei allen meinen Auenleuchten fr Steinel entschieden und bereue es nicht.
Besonders wichtig ist mir, das der Kunststoff durch die Sonneneinstrahlung nicht ausbleicht. Genau das ist der Vorteil bei Steinel. Klare Kaufempfehlung Meinerseits.
After seeming to be replacing my security light every couple of years I decided to pay more in the hope of a better quality one. Only time will tell, but first impressions are really good. The light feels very well made and was so easy to install and looks great on the wall – and most importantly gives a good amount of light. The angle of adjustment on both the sensor and the light are very impressive and miles better than any of the cheaper lights I have used in the past.
I have only given a 3 for the motion detection because this has been a bit of a struggle to set up in my circumstances. I have a long narrow drive and have found it difficult to get the angle of the sensor in the right location to be able to detect movement early enough. According to the spec sheet it has a long enough reach to cover my drive, but I have yet to find the position that works.
Diese Lampe ist jeden Cent wert. kein billiges Edelstahl das nach einem Regenguss rostet.
Sie sieht nicht nur hochwertig aus, sie ist auch aus einem sehr guten Material hergestellt. Leicht zu montieren, dabei bin ich handwerklich garnicht so geschickt. Ich denke ich werde noch eine fr die rechte Seite bestellen.
Hab jetzt auch mal die App runter geladen (muss man nicht) aber dann hat man noch ein paar mehr Funktionen.

Very high quality light and easy to install. Motion range is ok, but not as long as advertised. However this could be different dependent on conditions, height if install etc.

Bought this to replace a cheaper light purchased from a well known DIY store. The price difference wasn’t that great, but the difference in quality is huge. It’s straight forward to fit, is very well made and works really well.
Da wird bemngelt, dass Wasser in die Lampe eingedrungen ist. HALLO!!! Die Lampe ist mit IP44 angegeben, heit also nur “spritzwassergeschtzt” und nicht wasserdicht.
Der Nchste bemngelt, dass die Montage umstndlich ist. Wenn man allerdings nicht erkennt, dass die Kabelverbindung steckbar ist und somit eine ganz unkomplizierte Montage mglich ist (Sockel anschrauben, Kabel an Lsterklemmensteckverbindung verbinden, dann Lampenkopf an Steckverbindung anschlieen und auf Sockel stecken, Sicherungsschraube andrehen, fertig), dann sollte man von sowas die Finger lassen.
Ich kann nur sagen, die Leuchte ist top. Ob der Sensor nun auf 14 m oder nur auf 12,5 m funktioniert habe ich nicht nachgemessen, der Sensor jedenfalls funktioniert bei mir in ausreichend weitem Abstand. Die Lampe leuchtet den Bereich gleichmig und hell aus. Die Montage ist durch die Lsterklemmensteckverbindung durchdacht und leicht anzubringen.

Rein optisch und von der Ausleuchtung her bin ich mit dem Strahler total zufrieden, er blendet nicht so sehr und leuchtet gleichzeitig die Freiflche vor unserem Haus gut aus.
Die Befestigung im WDVS ist etwas knifflig, weil der Kabeleinlass fr die Unterputzverkabelung sehr nah an einem der Befestigungslcher ist, der Dmmstoffdbel hat da nicht mehr allzuviel Platz bis zur Leitung.
Insgesamt gesehen bin ich aber trotzdem sehr zufrieden, wrde den Strahler definitiv wieder kaufen.
Wir wollten fr den Nebeneingang eine Leuchte, die automatisch angeht – aber nicht bei jeder Katze, die vorbei luft.
Durch die variablen Einstelllungen von Erfassungswinkel und Strahler klappt das einwandfrei. Der Sensor erfasst auch Personen, die sich an der Hauswand entlang schleichen. Die Leuchte ist sehr hell und leuchtet unseren Garten gut aus, ohne die Nachbarn zu blenden. Die Einstellungen waren fr mich – mit Erfahrung und technischem Verstndnis – nicht schwierig, hat halt etwas gedauert. Montage war ebenso problemlos.

This is the third one I’ve purchased for additional lighting and have been really pleased with them, but unfortunately this one arrived damaged in the box – the white plastic lense cover was detached from the lamp body rendering the LED board would be exposed to the elements, looks like there was not enough silicone applied to complete a sufficient seal. Easy return via Amazon always a bonus.
Steinel propose ici un objet au design sobre mais efficace, et dont la luminosit restitue est juste impressionnante, la limite de l’blouissant ! Mais au moins, aucun souci pour trouver le trou de sa serrure ! 😉
Le dtecteur IR est rglable, orientable, et c’est un plus si comme moi vous avez installer cet appareil en haut d’un escalier qui a une emprise latrale sur votre pas de porte (histoire qu’il ne s’allume pas lorsqu’on est situ devant la porte, mais lorsqu’on commence monter les escaliers)
Bref, si on prend en compte la garantie qui accompagne ce projecteur, sa finition et ses performances, le prix me parait amplement justifi.
A really good, bright light made out of robust high quality plastics. I think this light will last a long time. It was straight forward to instal, made easier by the fact that you first wire in a plug, separate to the main unit, and then plug it in to the main unit (similar products have to be wired directly into the unit whilst it precariously dangles 10 feet off the ground and you balance up a ladder). The light is bright and very responsive. It can be directed at many different angles to suit your needs. I definitely recommend this as good value.
Provides a soft light so no glare if sitting nearby.

Dies lsst das Preis / Leiatungs Verhltnis in den Keller knicken, leider denn der Rest macht nen sehr guten Eindruck. Kondensator msste das codewort sein. Whre schn wenn es den Fluter auch in Kaltweis gbe oder vielleicht gibt es ihn, denn fr nen Auenstrahler bevorzuge ich >> 4000K, denn die meissten Kaltleds scheinen mir eh Richtung Wrme zu knicken je lnger sie im Einsatz sind.
I was searching long and hard to find a security light that was both practical and not an eyesore. This ticks both boxes. It is super sensitive and seems to pick up movement wall to wall (180 degrees) plenty of adjustment options for both light and sensor. Easy enough to fit (cable not provided). Already had comments from neighbours asking where i got it from just from its aesthetic looks. Would definitely recommend even if it is a little bit more expensive. Worth it in my eyes.
These panels are super bright and with the angle and rotation of the head adjustable you can direct it exactly where is required. Made a huge difference at illuminating an entrance doorway and steps compared to the traditional pir lantern which it replaced.

Excellent light. Easy to fit and easy to set up range. Can be set to come on for 8secs to. 35 minutes on a dial on bottom of light.
PS: I do know what a CE label is supposed to stand for, and there are some unscrupulous manufacturers of shoddy goods out there that know also.
A good tip to get the light on at your preferred darkness is to actually go out stand underneath and wait for it to go off. Then slowly turn the dial until it comes on again, that way it will always come on at the time you’d like it to!
This is the best looking security light versus those black plastic ones you get at your local comprehensive schools.
I can’t comment on longevity as just got it fitted but no doubt this will last.

This replaces a different Steinel product that lasted a long time but ultimately needed replacement. This one is all plastic so hopefully will last even longer (previous one had the powder coating starting to peel off before it ultimately stopped working completely). Looks really nice and gives plenty of light, very happy to date. Easy to install as well as you fix the base on first then just fit the rest of the light on.
This item may seem a bit pricey but it is easy to install and provides great illumination. Already had two of the non-sensor versions installed at my home and it made sense to replace the energy burning halogen security light on my shed with this sensor version.
Das Gehuse ist Plastik, mehr oder weniger ansprechend, bei genauem Hinsehen bleibt das nicht unklar. Trotzdem gute Materialqualitt, auch sehr gute Ausleuchtung und super Einstellmglichkeiten. Der Strahler und der Bewegungsmelder sind unabhngig voneinander einstellbar. Der Bewegungsmelder hat einen etwas eingeschrnkten Erfassungsbereich. Die versprochenen 12 m werden wohl nur auf freuem Feld erreicht. Steht ein Auto im Weg, reduziert sich der Erfassungsbereich auf magere 2-3m …. Schade, aber immer noch gerade so ausreichend. Dafr lsst sich trotz Megamineiregler die Schaltauslsung dem Helligkeitsbereich anpassen. Die Leuchtdauer ist auch gut einstellbar und kann mit anderen unabhngig montierten Strahlern des selbsn Typs recht gut syncronisiert werden. Es ist aber bei gleichem Stromkreis mglich, mehrere Lampen gleichzeitig anzusteueren, so das ein Bewegungsmelder zwei oder mehr Strahler einschalten kann.
Insgesamt gut nicht perfekt aber fr das Preis-Leistungsverhltniss sicher ein gutes Gert, welches auch vllig von normaler Strahleroptik abweicht. Die Leuchtstrke ist etwa wie ein 15 – 200 W Halogenstrahler, die Leuchtweite ist bis etwa 5 m sehr gut, bis 7 m gut und bis 9m ausreichend. Weiter reicht die Lichtstrke einfach nicht. Aber man steht auch wieder nicht total im Dunkeln, entfernt man sich weiter als 9 m vom Gert. Fr einen 9 m Carport reichen 2 Strahler vllig aus.
