Excellent for intended purpose only negative so far is the fact that the floor of it is not completely flat which is bit of a nuisance as any bottles are a bit wobbly if stood upright, but will sort that by putting a thin flat piece if wood on bottom
Only had this a few days but all seems okay except one bad design fault, the temperature controls at the back so when you have this in position you can’t adjust it without moving it.

Nice looking fridge. Much better layout and storage than my previous man-cave fridge.
Takes 8 cans, 4 beer bottles and 3 wine bottles easily
doesn’t get as cold as I would like but its OK.
As you can see I have the top shelf full with bottles, the bottles fit well on the metal rack shelf but are tight at the back where the cover is for the cooler etc. You can get 25 330ml bottles on the top shelf stood up, 15 330ml cans on the bottom. The shelf does come out but unfortunately its not adjustable. The fridge comes with 2 removable but not height adjustable shelves.
It initially arrived with a bent shelf which was promptly replaced by subcold. Top marks for customer service. I bought this for my conservatory as our main fridge is always to full to put drinks in and with the heatwave, I needed somewhere to keep drinks cold. I also use it for chocolates and chocolate biscuits! So handy and so spacious. Cans, bottles, it all fits! I’m thrilled with this purchase

I was searching for a minifridge for a while and I came across the subcold super 50. I’ve been using for a month now and I’m really impressed!
Pros:
The fridge is pretty quiet, I have it on the coldest setting and it only makes a noise for 2 minutes every 15 minutes or so, the noise itself isn’t loud at all, sometimes I sleep next to it and I don’t really notice it that much.
Fridge can get pretty cold, isn’t as cold as advertised but I’d say it’s around 5 degrees.
Fridge design is nice and stylish with an optional light and temp control.
Cons:
Temperature dial is at the back so annoying to get to.
Struggle with the top and middle shelf to fit normal size cans, it’s a squeeze, literally needs a few mms.
Got this for my mancave/shed
It fits nicely in the corner, the LED light is quite handy, it holds quite a lot, as for durability, only time will tell

Work amazing. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time and hoping to buy another soon for another room. Easy to lock aswell so our little one cant get into it. Not too noisy but does randomly click on sometimes which can be annoying. It’s not silent but definitely not loud.
Great fridge , fairly quiet , you can hear the thermo kicking in and out but it’s not over noisy , if I had one criticism it could just do with an extra few mm between shelves to fit cans in properly and stand them up , the shelves are not adjustable, overall I’m happy though

Nice little fridge… Holds plenty of cans and works well to get them cold. The manual says set to level 5 to start… That’s fine… Just remember to set the level back to something sensible like 2….if not the fridge can overheat which could be an issue. Overall very happy and will probably get another one for the garage to keep extra beers cold

This is my step daughters fridge for her room. She likes to keep cold drinks and is happy with the temperature. Said that it does make a noise though.
However she is very happy with this item, it is a lot bigger than we expected.

Great little product , stylish and almost silent. Only issue is LED light is either on or off by switch inside fridge , would have expected a door activated switch . But a good buy and very pleased
I have the chill level set to 4 on the dial, and this keeps the temperature constant at around 3C or so.
Does it make too much noise when running? Not really, and it only runs for a couple of minutes anyway.
One thing to note that I didn’t see anywhere in the product write-up (I may have missed it), but inside there is a switch to turn the internal light off. I didn’t actually want the light running, and thought I would have to use some masking tape to cover it, but with the switch I can just turn it off.
Bought a few of these, one for son going to Uni and one for my Man Cave. Both have performed great and kept a constant temperature in differing ambient conditions. The internal LED light is a great addition and makes the fridge look cool (pun intended).
The fridge makes very little sound even in a quiet room. The lock is very useful and easy to operate and comes with 2 keys.

Bought this for my bedroom and it fits nicely under my desk (did have to sit it on wood to keep it off the carpet). comfortably hold 6 2l bottles of Pepsi (front to back) having 3 on the top shelf and 3 in the middle shelf. The bottom section is good for any food, meds or eliquid that need to be kept cool as well. The light in the top isn’t particularly bright but the door locking feature is nice. Will frost up at the back if turned too cold (had part of a Pepsi bottle freeze) but is fine when kept on a medium setting. Good purchase overall, very happy.
My bf absolutely loves this fridge and all the fab features for keeping his torps and other drinks cool at just the perfect temp. Only wish that it was a little bit quieter, of not being kept in the bedroom I can’t recommend this enough but if looking for something to go in the bedroom, just be aware it might be not as quiet as you’d hoped. All in all great product and it’s being moved into his man cave soon anyway so not a problem for us. 10 out of 10!
Fridge arrived with a smashed water drip tray for over the electrical parts at the back but after an email a new one was quickly dispatched to replace it. We later found a broken plastic piece for the metal rack inside but I superglued it together. Seems to work okay as a small fridge and keeps Redbulls cold
Good quality, does what it says in the description. Makes a bit of noise when the compressor starts up but other than that it’s really good. Holds quite a few cans – perfect for a gaming mad teenager who spends his life in a gaming cave
It was for a family member, can be a bit rattly, but I think this is the internal racks. Also a back plate tends to rattle to. Probably needs to be tightened, so that’s on me. Overall very happy for price.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son-in-law. He loved it so I’ve bought one too. It was slightly too high to go on a worktop in the kitchen so I bought a 6 black table from Ikea & it now sits in a corner. It’s almost silent & chills all drinks down to the perfect temperature. The built in light isn’t dazzling & can be switched on or off.
I did love the product it looks really smart. It is a little noisy but not noticeably so, and the lock isn’t very secure, but I wouldn’t ever use it.

Bought for husband as present. He loves it for his beers. Comes with three wire racks but if standing can up you can only use two. Also didn’t see a key when unpacked. To be fair didn’t realise it came with one and haven’t looked around it to see if stuck on somewhere. Will need to contact seller if I don’t discover one.

This has been a god send during the hot weather. Had all our beer tonic water and pop in here to save filling up the fridge. Had to take a shelf out to get some bottles in though. Like people have said the back does get frosty but these type of fridges do. I turned the light off as no one sees it so cut down on the electric use. I put a thermometer in it to check the temp then turned the control to where it just keeps them cool enough – other half doesn’t like his beer too cold. It can get a bit noisy when it’s full but that’s all fridges.
Amazing little fridge, quite spacious! Fits 2 litre pop bottles easily on the top shelf! Only thing that bothers me is that the light switch and temp control are on the back out of the way, but only a minor thing really.
It is most important to adjust the thermostat in my case 4.5 to 3. To ensure economic running. My old fridge was running nearly 24 hours which used 744KW asaposed to 84Kw. This has reduced my electricity bill by 66.0.

The temperature control switch is on the rear of the unit and difficult to access unless you pull the unit out, could have been better located. Other than that, no problems so far. Beer is really cold and it holds a fair amount in cans. A bit more expensive than similar products but, if it does the job, thats all that matters.
Our fridge is set in a recess (with plenty of ventilation) which makes it impossible to switch on the light. Thought it would operate when the door was opened, or at least be more accessible.Otherwise very pleased.
My mini fridge was despatched very quickly after order and arrived a few days later. I got the subcold 50, it’s an excellent fridge with plenty of room, goes nearly Ice cold and after it’s done starting up it’s virtually silent.
My fridge arrived with a damaged door (clearly dropped in transit) so not the fault of subcold. I contacted them via email immediately and they responded just as fast. They got me a replacement door out in under 24hours. Very impressed with the product and even more so the company as a whole.

I purchased this to store bottled beer in the awning of my caravan as the caravan fridge is small and won’t cater for beers,wines,water.I drink Beck’s blue which really needs to be cold,if it’s not it affects the taste similar to Stella.If left on no 5 for a few days the beers are nice.If they are placed in the fridge from the supermarket you can’t drink them for at least 24hrs.So I stock the fridge up on a Sunday afternoon turn the fridge down to about 3.5 then when I go back to the van on Tuesday/Wednesday.they are nice and cool.Im not sure if its a good idea to keep on 5 all the time so I turn it down.I accept the temperature in the awning during summer will be warm so I am happy with what I have got.I may review my rating after I have tried it out for a few weeks
A good little fridge when you just need a small space. The temperature is certainly cold enough to make your teeth ache… over all very pleased. The temperature control could be in a more accessible place, but thats a minor thing.
It’s a good fridge. Keeps drinks cold. As a bar fridge it works perfectly with regards to temperature. Wouldn’t trust dairy products in it but that would be the same for any style mini fridge.
Areas for improvement:
1) Price. Not one to complain about price usually but this one does seem a tad expensive. Bought for 130 but looks and feels more in the 80-100 range. Quality looks a little cheap in places (flimsy lock, plastic pieces not 100% secure, etc). Yet again, doesn’t really bother me that much.
2) Shelf design is a little poor. What are you most likely to keep in a beer fridge? Bottles of beer and cans of course! small beer cans / soft drink cans sadly cannot be stored vertically on the top and middle shelf by a hairs width, which leaves quite a lot of room to waste when you could potentially store twice the cans as opposed to storing them on their side.
Product is pretty good, keeps things cool as described. Did concern me a bit because for the first 2 solid days it just ran perpetually so I was concerned the thermostat was broken (read in other reviews this can happen). It did eventually start switching off but it does kick in a lot so doesn’t naturally seem to retain a cold temperature for too long. Knocked a star off for general inefficiency but it’s pretty decent.
The temp control is excellent – a little quieter in a small kitchen ???
My son bought this fridge himself for his bedroom (probably so that he could keep playing on his xbox when he was thirsty and not have to come downstairs. lol). He loves it, it looks great, he likes the led lights inside, and the temperature control is really easy for him to work. He has no complaints. The only small complaint I have is that it can be noisy at times, but it doesn’t bother my son. He says it’s great for sticking his feet inside when he gets too hot (I don’t think he’s kidding either. lol).
This is everything you would want from a fridge it stays at the perfect temperature it doesnt make a lot of noise so can be kept in a bedroom the only thing that bothers me is the lock its a little harder to lock and unlock than i thought it would be and the lock isnt the best but apart from that i love i
Arrived in no time, well packaged, good instructions. Very attractive in black with glass door and good interior light.
Left it to settle for 24 hours then switched it on and it reached operating temperature in an hour or so. Bit of a pain that the temperature control, light switch and drain pan are outside the cabinet at the back of the fridge but it’s not everyday you need to reach those. I need this lockable fridge for hotel use since my wife is fed intravenously overnight and her food bags need to be kept between 2 – 8 degrees. It does that and keeps them secure with a good lock.
The fridge is great apart from the constant sound of it going on and off. It just does3stay constant. and on top for drinks to be really cold they must be stored all the way in the back of the fridge. Plus the door hinges are dodgy as when I changed the door to open from the opposite side the door keep leaning down. It just doesn’t stay sturdy and in position. As I’m a builder I managed to work around the door to ensure it stays where it should Nd doesn’t lean down everytime you open the door and the rubber on the bottom of the door doesn’t have a proper seal as it is slighty sticking out and not sealed fully. But apart from the issues its good enough to buy if you do not have many item to store in the fridge. As the description says you can put a certain amount. Just take into account when buying in order for your drinks to stay cold you can not fill it with more then 20 cans at a time especially if you want to store bottles in there. They do not get proper cold. Its just slightly cold which is good enough if you want to drink the whole 500ml bottle in 1min.
Mini… not quite…. but definitely not bad! It’s big… holds a lot more drink though so I won’t complain. One happy gamer teen who now has one more reason to not leave him room! Cheers

I’m the type of person who cannot sleep with ANY noise for some reason and well, I can sleep just fine with this brilliant little fridge.
The drinks are kept very cold, it stores a LOT of cans (I managed around 44 with some bottles too) and has removable ledges so you can fit bigger bottles in the bottom part.

Bought to go in my new home bar. It can hold at least 3 x bottles of wine or 3x2L sparkling water lying down on the top shelf, and lots of cans and bottles of beer on the second shelf and base.

I partly bought this fridge to keep some medicine supplies at the correct low temperature. This is a proper fridge rather than just a drinks cooler so it’s ideal for that. It’s also fine for keeping my wine, beer and soft drinks nicely chilled. That’s released some useful space in the kitchen fridge. I think it’s a smart addition to the dining room. I just leave the LED light on all the time, the switch is just about inaccessible anyway. I’m assuming that’s the intention. A minor drawback is that the shelves aren’t adjustable. The noise it makes is okay, I don’t find it irritating.
I’ve had this about a month now, really like it. Works very well, holds and cools about 40 tins of beer, perfect for parties etc. Chills very well, from warm to cold overnight, easy to set up and easy to adjust. No noticeable frosting at 80% chill which leaves the beer perfectly cold. Controls to change chill level and turn off LED light are easy to find at the back and easy to use. Not noisy, barely noticeable hum and I keep mine in my home office. First rate.
A very good fridge. I had a bit of a mishap opening the packaging (basically I drop it), which has bend the back end of it, but it was my fault. It works fine. I did turn up the cold (or is that down the heat) and my can of coke exploded (it must have been too cold), again my fault. Works well.
Perfect, we purchased this to use when camping but we also use it at home. The led adds a nice touch. It fits everything from 2ltr bottle of pop, bottles of wine and cans the list goes on. The temperature of the wine is just right and I like a cold glass of wine. It is well worth the money. Highly recommended

Very nice fridge, bought it to keep extra cold drinks in all this lovely hot weather. It’s quiet and economic,will be using it as an extra fridge for the caravan. Only criticism is the light has an on/off switch, so is permanently on or off, would be good to have it like a normal fridge where the light comes on when the door is opened. Otherwise good value for money.
Bought this mini fridge to go in a bar in our new log cabin. Perfect for the job and unlike beer fridges this one is able to chill down to 1degree, cheaper versions only go to 6 degrees. Holds exactly what it says it will and the shelves make it easy to store wine and beers together. Well made product and looks expensive.
The fridge has a wider operating range than the Husky, (1 — 18 degrees, as against 5 — 15 degrees), it is also more economical to use. Power consumption for the SubCold is rated at 84 Kwh for a year, as against 96Kwh for a Husky. It’s also quiet.
The fridge has a lockable door (2 keys supplied), so if your fridge is left in a communal area, you can prevent some anti-social sorts from “Borrowing” your booze!
Oh, and just as an added bonus, it’s 20 quid cheaper than a Husky!
