These skates remove all the resistance too get the mouse moving so it’s much easier to make small adjustments. Not amazing for desktop use though because it’s more difficult to hold the mouse completely still when clicking things. You might end up dragging instead
These mouse feet are very good if you give time for them to break in. I got these despite bad reviews saying they were too slippery because I wanted the fastest possible mouse movement. They are too slippery out of the box, but I’ve had them for three weeks now playing two or three hours a day and they really feel perfect now. I do play with a palm grip, and I can see that a fingertip or claw grip would not be suited to the minimal level of friction these provide. If that is your grip style, you could still try them, but they will not work well until they are broken in and give a little more resistance when you put pressure on the mouse. These are great though, especially on the superlight, they make a fast mouse even faster. I should also mention I’m using a pulsar hyperspeed mousepad.
my mouse is now fast af also orderd another set for my G502 since it is now in stock and the reviews about the mouse cursor moving on its own that is gravity itself with your table if it is not stable flat or if you didnt remove the extra layer after removing the stock PTFE skates so that the sensor is not too high from its lift of actuation etc
First off let me start off by saying don’t listen to a lot of the reviews on here. Mouse glide is completely preferential.
Most of the reviews on here will talk about how the skates are too fast and give them a 1 star rating, but that’s exactly what the skates are supposed to do, they are designed to be super smooth on your mouse pad.
But at roughly $30 for a pair, they are worth a shot. When I first installed them on my G Pro X Superlight (which was super easy to do, you literally just drop them into place and push them into the mouse for a few seconds) I instantly noticed how much smoother the glide was on the mouse. I played a few games on Apex Legends, Valorant, and CS:GO and noticed a pretty significant improvement on my aim (the main issue I was experiencing before the skates, was that my mouse would hang on the mouse pad and would cause my aim to be jittery.)
There is a pretty slight caveat for the skates though, but its mainly for FPS games, if you tend to panic under pressure and click your mouse too hard, you will move your reticle when you click, or if your aim isn’t steady and you tend to shake a little when you shoot, you will notice it a lot. The reason is because these skates remove a lot of the friction between the mouse and the mouse pad. Without that friction, any movement from your hand will be picked up by the sensor.
I really like them, and I even bought a second pair just in case these slow down after a few months of use. Since some mouse skate companies tend to fall off after a while if their sales dont do too great.
i bought the super glides after using my superlight for 3 months cuz i wanted some near frictionless movement with my mouse. The first day of playing while using the super glides it was such a big difference micro adjusting requires a more steady hand because they are extremely slippery. After a week or two it doesn’t feel as overly slippery anymore during long strafe tracking or normal use, but it still feels super smooth when micro adjusting. I’ve seen people say theyre gonna cut up your mousepad which isn’t true cuz if the skates werent perfectly smooth they wouldnt be near frictionless. Also ive read tht people have slow spots or something like that on their mousepad which prevents the mouse from gliding like its supposed to and the cuz of that is having a dirty/cheap mousepad if your pad is dirty your mouse is gonna feel like its going over some mud. Using a cheap mousepad or a mousepad that is for control and not speed is also gonna give you a different experience in the way the skates cause the mouse to glide.
These glass mouse feet are amazing quaity and easy to setup. All of the low star reviews talking about cursor drift are proof of the feet being so frictionless, that any offset in the levelness of the table or even the typing of a mechanical keyboard can be enough to cause the mouse to slide. That’s how frictionless it has become. Make sure when cleaning off the old adhesive that you do not get alcohol on/around the senso
I would call these skates perfect, but a design decision is a flaw for me and affects performance. On the Pro X Superlight, the USB dongle cover (under the mouse) will wobble when its glass plate is installed. This is a very strange feeling that throws me off. I would have preferred a skate around the sensor because the larger plate adds also adds weight (which you notice on a mouse like this). The magnets that hold the cover weren’t designed to hold this weight correctly. See pictures.
These are coated or at least feel like it. They have a crazy glide out of box that is super fun to play around with. So much so that your hand will drift without you realizing it. But eventually after enough use the coating will wear down and will essentially feel like PTFE without the slight scratchiness. If they get dirty you can just wipe it with a microfiber cloth or your shirt or whatever you have nearby. These are fantastic and worth buying to try out, and return if you truly dislike them.
If I had a dedicated gpro to put these on for gaming only they would be a DREAM. On a standard desk mat there is so little friction that the mouse will drift on its own, because the mouse is moving… Clicking links/buttons with these is a nightmare because as you press down on the button you dont realize how much you pull the mouse downwards/towards yourself. Every double click turns into a click and drag with these. That said, if you understand all that they are amazing, really makes the superlight feel completely weightless, i am considering using 1 or 2 of these with a more standard skate in the center for the best of both worlds
I would buy again if they fix it its not a fatal flaw but very annoying
If you play on a low send definitely oick it uo if you’re on high sens steer clear of this produc
Good for track-heavy games like APEX, Quake, Overwatch. Smoothness and Low initial friction better than the Tiger ICE.
Would highly recommend for someone looking for a faster glide, pair this with a fast pad and watch it zoooooooom.
Would not recommend it if you want more control with your mouse, use Corepads. Not ideal for accurate games like Valorant, CSGO.
Man braucht Eingewhnung da die Maus sich fast wie von selbst bewegt. Aber dann genial zum zocken. Fr Desktop Nutzung nicht zu empfehlen…..
Before I decided to take a risk after reading the low star reviews stating that the skates cause mouse drift, I thought this was a product problem but… It’s not because of the skates being bad, it’s because they either haven’t broken in the skates, have an uneven/levelled surface, don’t know how to hold their hand still or other user problems.
I’ve been using it for Valorant, osu! and other games. I’ve only noticed drift because my table was not levelled, after I fixed it, it was perfectly fine.
If you don’t have steady hands or tend to put directional force on your mouse, it will slowly move due to the low friction because of the glass.
So in conclusion, Most low-star reviews are due to user problems and not the product. It’s perfectly fine and works how it’s intended and made for, which is low friction premium mouse skates.
If you don’t like having a “Drift” effect due to your own problems, I don’t recommend it but if you are looking for extremely low initial and moving friction skates other than Lethal Gaming Gear glass skates, this would be what you should get.
🙂
These glass skates are probably going to give you the most frictionless experience possible. That being said if your desk isn’t perfectly straight and leveled and you’re not using a mousepad, you are going to experience some drift due to gravity and the lack of friction. If that is what you’re seeking then these skates are for you!
Love how well it glides out the box. Took me no time to adjust to it. Great if you play games like Apex, tracking is superb. Time will tell if it will stay this way. No sensor drift noted
To the people who are saying there is drift in the Sensors this is not true.
The glides are so good even the slightest gradiant in the table off level will make it move.
You can see the mouse moving. So marking them down for doing the job is unfair.
Very hard to use no stopping power but tracking is on point. Had to go back to tiger ice glides as I wasn’t used to 0 stopping power.
Update went back to these once you try them it’s hard to go back just make sure you use them for a good week to break them in and get used to them.
I put these on my GPX superlight using a hybrid pad. I feel like I might need to transition to a much slower pad using them though, which I don’t currently have. In general use, I will move past an icon I’m trying to click because the initial friction and stopping power are sooooo much more minuscule than I expected. In gaming, tracking feels very good and natural. Flicks feel a little weird because I feel like the act of actually clicking the mouse causes me to move it a bit more than I intend to from the flick itself. That could just be me being heavy-handed (or heavy-fingered) as I click the mouse but beware of that if this is you also. This feels similar to how I keep missing clicks just navigating around the general windows environment, browser, DAW, etc. in a way I never have before. Could maybe get used it? Who knows.
I’m giving these a 4-star good review because you get what it says on the tin but I think it’s a “maybe not for me” situation, but also, maybe just a little expensive for a few very small pieces of glass.
I didn’t think these would make a sizeable difference and just bought them for novelty’s sake, but after using them for a bit, they work better than advertised. The smallest push of my Superlight sends the mouse a good few inches away, it’s like these things are butter. They are almost too good, with the mouse being so light that every twitch of your hand will register compared to some static friction in the PTFE feet. If you have any amount of jitter in your hand I would steer clear, but if you want your mouse to be an extension of your body, you legitimately can’t go wrong with this upgrade.
