Strong suction, lightweight, easy to use, no bag required, empty straight into dustbin. Amazed at price as good as top priced vacumes
Stopped working on me tonight only had it a week smelt burning then it stopped and will not turn on now
Very pleased good suction brought my carpets up a trea
Love it..not hard work a d does a great job
Very pleased with this hoover, it’s not heavy and does the job quickly and efficiently.
Suction O.k Lightweight and reached the top of y stairs
This suction cleaner is light in weight, good suction & easily manoeuvred; its brushroll raises the pile of our carpets very well.
We chose it owing to it’s competitive price !!
It does suck up dust very well, which requires emptying. But, that’s good, ISN’T IT!!
I’ve had the best…apparently…shark, Vax, Gtech,Dyson …none of these are any good for me I have a heart condition so need a Light weight …the ones that I’ve tried listed above are NOT light!!! This one IS I am so happy at last I’ve got one I can actually use I can even carry it upstairs…it really is so EASY to use and empty ..my favourite Vacuum
Bought this as a family member had the same and we tried it out and liked it. Its compact and light so easy to store and carry. We previously had a cordless vacuum so were a little worried about going back to a corded one but the cord is really long and has a clip on the handle if you want to clip it up higher. Its easy to empty and keep clean. It really is very powerful for a small vacuum and we noticed the brush does not get wrapped up with hair which is a bonus. The only issue we have is that it will not stay in the upright position which we have contacted the seller about. Otherwise overall a great little inexpensive hoover.
Very light to manoeuvre. Good suction. Great for pet hair. Thanks Swan Happy New year to you and your staff.
I was looking for a hoover that was lightweight as a present and this is brilliant. Easy to put together and to use. Just what they were looking for!!!
Hi thanks for prompt delivery it’s a really good hoover to use and it’s really good for corners
Yes it’s very light , good suction yes very pleased with this produc
I purchased this vac for picking up the dogs hair it is brill
Great auction and lots of accessories and options for use. It is not lightweight as a whole unit though, in.fact is quite heavy to carry upstairs.
We have had many different makes of vacuum cleaners over the years but this one is a million miles better than any of the others. If there was one thing that I would say that could of been better and that would be it could of done with a solid pipe to put on the hose so you can reach spider webs on the ceiling and behind the television but that is all. Worth every penny
Does what it advertises to do, great for the price
It’s light and easy to manoeuvre also very good quality
little hard to push no dial to make it easier altho its great value and a very good hoove
This vacuum cleaner is great. It helps that it’s lightweight as I’m not the strongest person. The suction is very good. The fact that it has swivel action it really helps to get around furniture very well. Perfect size for me too.
This is probably the best vacuum cleaner I’ve ever had
I hope I didn’t put the mockers on it.
It’s light compact easy to use. I have arthritis in my fingers the handle is easy to hold.bi do hope it lasts.
Suction is great I have a short coat Chihuahua that sheds continuously can’t belive the amount that this vacuum picks up.
Seems a good hoover so far. However disappointed at the lack of tools, there is no long pole to be able to get to corners above, the ‘extension’ it has isn’t firm at all and won’t e suitable in any area bar the floor.
This works really well on wood floors and low pile carpet. The amount of stuff it sucked up was disgusting and great all in one. My old Miele was not nearly this good. So very good value for money. Love i
Have had lots of hoovers but this one far outdoes all of them. The suction is absolutely fantastic. It’s lightweight and so manoeuvrable it’s unbelievable. Also it’s a quarter of the price of some of the so called best. Totally happy with this product and would100% recommend
Easy to assemble picks up OK could do with slightly longer lead
Brillant Hoover done in no time and little effort to use it would highly recommend i
One of the best hoovers ive purchased in a long time!!
The only problem is a design fault. You have to use your hand to empty the dirt.
It’s far better than we expected. For a 400w the suction is on par and/or better than some of the dearer vacuum cleaners.
We have dogs and so surprised and happy with the amount picked up.
Easy to open to dispose of rubbish, lightweight compared to our old one. Reasonably priced too.
Great suction – good at picking up but no way to control the power therefore if you go against the weave of the carpet it is nearly impossible to move forward- bad for the back and shoulders but just leave the the husband !!!!
Really good for price. Lightweight, good suction and easy to manoeuvre.
Fab small hoover and good price .its lightweight and great suction very pleased
Really good value for the money. Good suction. No complaints. Would buy agai
This vac is good for hard floors, hard to push on carpets, can’t find an adjustable height from carpet to hard floor. The suction is very good, light weight to lift.
Very pleased with the hoover light weight great value for money really pleased
So lightweight perfect for every room best Hoover I’ve ever brough
Brought this for my mother in law as its lightweight. She loves it, does a great job.
This product is good for picking up and quite lightweigh
This is a great little hoover, compact in size but has good suction power and is lightweight and easy to move around.
Just love this hoover best one ive bought and value for money
I was a bit sceptical about this hoover as amazing price but with 2 long haired GSD & a messy parrot I was unsure.
Putting together was easy enough, seemed good quality until I used it the 1st time and the spare long black plastic strip bar kept slipping out, i noticed their was a notch snapped and just took the thin piece of black plastic out.
It picks up dog hairs amazingly even leaves hoover marks in the carpet where it has been used but it won’t pick up a piece of corn my parrot chucks out which is annoying. I go to hoover around the parrot cage and it spits seed out everywhere, it needs to be made higher to be able to pick up things like that which isn’t available on this model but apart from that the super long cord is a blessing as I have a large house and don’t have to plug and unplug the hoover just to hoover one room. It looks good, easy to use and when you come to hoover I’m not struggling to push it. Emptying is easy & I’m glad I bought it and even recommended on social media to dog and cat owners.
If it’s only pet hairs you want to hoover up buy it! If it’s bird food buy it but also buy a separate hand hoover as it just refuses to pick up pieces of corn or whole sunflower seeds. The suction is fantastic and even when full it keeps the suction going. Great machine
Iv had to give 4 stars as dog hairs are a thing of the past, if manufacturer makes it also pick up bird food it’s would get the full 5
Carpet it hard to push forward but ok with backward
Love it , so easy to use , very easy to manoeuvre, lightweight , compact . Good suctio
I brought one for my sister as a house warming gift and she loves it!
I love this hoover I’m 72 with arthritis,so it’s just right for me cam lift it,also it has a swivel head which is really easy to move. It is very quiet.
Lightweight and good suction power. Long cable and holds alot before needing emptying.
Bought for daughter she is very impressed with suction and how lightweight it is. Good buy
I was lucky enough to win a competition voucher so decided to get a new vacuum. This hoover is ideal for us as we are a retired couple who live in a flat, it is very lightweight and easy to use and has good suction, also it looks nice. We didn’t realise how old our other vacuum was as this has brilliant suction so for a small family or flat dweller it is just perfect, for a bigger family it would be best to spend more money on a bigger machine but then this is a fantastic price as it is good quality and very well made, well impressed. No bags to buy either.
The suction on this is VERY good, it is so strong it almost pulled up my carpets. My cats shed a lot of hair so this was the perfect choice for me. I have recommended to my sister who could use this as her cats shed a lot and she could clean her house a bit more.
This Swan upright vacuum cleaner is a very efficient unit, with a 400w motor powering it it still outperformed my previous 1200W vacuum cleaner. The universal joint gives freedom of motion in all axes, enabling one to reach difficult spots with ease, and the among the extra nozzles the pet hair/fine hair attachment is compact and efficient.
The cleaner needs to be put together initially, but it is not a complex procedure and no tools are required. There is a manual to assist in the construction procedure. Thoughtfully, a spare drive belt is supplied – keep that safe somewhere, you may need it eventually.
Being bagless, it is a very simple job to unclip the clear dust container and empty it into the dustbin via a simple push of a button. Of course this does mean the the inside of the container will need a clean now and then.
The power cord is a very generous 9,3m in length, and together with the swivel head this really does allow for fast cleaning. I also like the look of it – not a priority, but why have an ugly effective vacuum clear when one can have a good-looking one?
The only negative point I’ve found is that being bagless and despite the filter, it does tend to rattle and clatter whenever it picks up anything more solid than hair and dust. It is not exceptionally light, so I don’t know why that is being made a selling point. For all that, it is not overly heavy. I’d say it’s about par for this style of vacuum so far as size and weight go.
I’d certainly recommend this, you don’t actually need a pet for this to be useful; it is more versatile than that.
Hoover is very light and easy to carry around. This is great for me as I have mobility problems and I can easily move this around myself. It comes with a little 3 in 1 attachment and an extra pet hair remover tool. The hoover itself was surprisingly great. I have another cyclone hoover of a well known brand so I was really surprised at how well this works in comparison.
I was amazed at how well the hoover worked. The hoover cleaned the carpets really well and I was shocked at how much dust and hair the hoover got out if the carpet. I couldn’t believe it, I always thought my other hoover was doing a good job until I saw what this one picked up. It’s absolutely brilliant. The 3 in 1 tool works well and as the hose is so long I could easily reach all the high areas and get into the little crevices. The hoover also has a little slot to store the tool with the hoover so it’s close to hand when you need it.
Unfortunately the pet hair removal tool just will not work. When I attach it, it spins but as soon as it touches the floor it just comes to a stop with the slightest of pressure. No matter what I do it just will not spin. For this reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The saving grace is that the actual hoover itself picks up the hair so the hair removal tool is redundant anyway. Also there is nowhere on the hoover to store it aswell.
Overall it is a good hoover and it is definitely replacing the other as the suction and bristles do a far better job. It really does work wonders. It’s also good on hard floors too. Emptying the hoover is simple too, just a quick press of the button and it all falls out, Quick and easy.
Thank you for reading my review and I hope this was helpful to you
The Swan Vacuum was very easy to set up when it arrived (only really need to screw one screw in for the handle). As you would expect, the vacuum comes with attachments such as a nozzle to vacuum in corners.
The machine itself looks like a Dyson in the way it has a see through 3 litre dust catcher with an anti-allergen HEPA filter which traps dirt as you clean and is especially good if you suffer from allergies.
It is surprisingly powerful. I have a Henry hoover, however I ran this over the carpets and was surprised how much dirt and dust this picked up, after only having recently been vacuumed with the Henry.
When compared to the price range of some of the other vacuums on the marke, this offers great value for money, coming in the lower range while giving higher range vacuums a run for their money in their ability to clean.
Not bad at all, especially if you’re on a budget.
We love this hoover!
It is lightweight compared to other standing hoover brands, and really manoeuvrable, making it easy to get to all areas with less effort and movement from you.
The suction power is fairly good and it holds a reasonable amount of dirt before needing to be emptied.
Altogether, a bargain at 70 and I would definitely recommend this to friends looking for a lightweight hoover.
I would say is a fair price for this Hoover as it is quite good quality
It is very easy to take the Parts apart and clean and to move around.
The hoover is pretty lightweight not as heavy as it looks
The cord is long 6.5m which is great so you have plenty of length to move without changing the socket
The only thing that made me rate 4 star is that I have a cat with very long hair and of course she drops some here and there
The Hoover was pretty powerful but not if you have a pet at home .
I can see that is another opinion of hoover if you have a pet but I had the normal one
Otherwise pretty happy
It surprisingly isn’t nearly as heavy as it looks so it’s easy to move around, both while at use and when taking it in and out of storage. I don’t have a big place so the lengthy power cord means I don’t have to unplug the cleaner at any point in use. Bagless vacuums are the only way — I can’t be doing with bags and changing those. The fewer accessories the better. That said, it includes a special pet tool for cleaning up after them so it’s useful if you’ve got a pet. Its very powerful suction means that it pulls out hair from the carpet effectively — again, it’s designed mainly for pet hair but it works just as well on human hair. Easy to use, effective — what more could you ask for from a vacuum!
It’s a touch on the loud side, this vacuum cleaner; it’s light and easy to push around if you need to move it, and the large 3 litre bagless capacity is great, as it picks up much more dust than you’d suspect was there.
The cable is very long, and the pet hair attachment works well on soft furnishings and upholstery.
For the price, it’s a really good buy – I’ve had to buy from this price range before, and there are a lot of dud choices out there; this one works really well, but as you’d expect, it’s made from a lot of plastic parts and my one concern is how long it will last and function as well as it does. Also, although there is a two meter hose on this machine, I do prefer the barrel designs – they are better suited to smaller properties, I feel.
So it’s a four star rating overall – there’s real value for money here if you can’t afford the expensive ones, but you do tend to get what you pay for, and only time will tell how long this vacuum lasts for.
This might be the best vacuum i have ever had and believe me ive been through them all. I have never had a swan vacuum before however. I am quite baffled at how it is only 400 watts though.
I have a Huskamute who blows her coat 2-3 times a year and sheds daily. Vacuuming is a nightmare and no matter how often i do it there is always hair, you learn to live with it.
This vacuum picked up more hair than any other vacuum i have ever used, there have been embedded hairs in the sofa for years, but the little pet brush that comes with this made short work of this.
The suction is really strong, lifted my carpets off the floor in places, they are quite thin now though.
It is lightweight which is helpful as i am disabled, it means i dont have to bend down to hoover which can cause me chronic pain. The cord is long, i have a bungalow and i was able to do my entire house without unplugging it from the hall.
It is super easy to empty, buttons are easy to operate and its easy to wipe clean.
I genuinely cannot say anything negative about it. Well done Swan!
We were sceptical. We have tried varies vacuums over the years including the which best buys and those that used to be in Malmsbury but are slowly relocating to Singapore despite protestations of the value of a leave agenda.
Erm, back to the hoover, this is a pet hoove and has plenty manoeuvrability aspects to warrant its use in a dog / family home. The separate head useful for straits too. It is not the most powerful we have had but really is very good at dragging the hair out the carpet. It doesn’t weigh too much either so overall we are impressed. But when you factor in the cost of this item it becomes an absolute no brainier. Recommend!
So i recently moved into a new flat and gave the place a once over with a henry hoover I was gifted by my in-laws. I thought it did a good job until I used this one!
The Swan hoover came packed in a plain cardboard box (i’m not sure that was necessary!) once this was opened the actual box was inside. The hoover comes in a few pieces but was super quick and easy to put together without needing to look at the instructions in just a few minutes.
It comes with a few different brush/noozle attachments that slot on the front of the hoover for safe keeping (a nice touch as i’m sure we’ve all misplaced these before!) the pet hair brush doesn’t seem to have a slot that i can see but it would be easy to pop in a cupboard till you need it.
So, to how it works! It comes with a very long power cord so did my whole flat without needing to move it. The on button is a big red pedal type thing on the left hand side, I thought it was the button to click the hoover down from the upright position at first but you don’t need to do that.
I hoovered my very small hallway first and it pretty much filled the whole chamber! It was super easy to empty, you just need to click out the chamber and open the bottom. It’s a touch on the noisy side but quieter than a lot of hoovers I’ve used before!
Overall a pretty reasonable price for a really powerful machine, it definitely helped hoover up the hair from my shedding cat!
I’ve been using a cylindrical cyclonic (from a different, well-known manufacturer) for years and I’m really shocked by the difference this has made. As the name suggests, it’s aimed at pet owners, and sadly I no longer have a pet, but what I DO have is a flokati rug, and it sheds more than any animal known to humankind. I’ve got navy blue carpets in the hallway and bedroom, and having tried this out last night I realised that I haven’t seen them looking so dark and rich in YEARS – this must be because my old vacuum (and yes, it’s already become an ex) was leaving behind a patina of white hairs from the rug whose cumulative effect had made the carpets look paler.
The swivel head works well to get into those awkward places and considering it’s obvious power, it’s quite quiet – in fact listening to it on start up I thought: “this can’t be up to much” (my ‘ex’ vac howled like a banshee) but then saw the dust, fluff and hairs whirling around like lightning in the collector.. we’re not in Kansas anymore Toto..
The attachments on the hose are easy to use, and since it’s permanently in situ all you have to do is grab one end and attach your desired implement. One thing I would say about this though is that they tell you (quite firmly) that the unit should be kept UPRIGHT whilst using the hose; now the hose in its normal ‘at rest’ configuration is about 3 feet long, but it’ll stretch out to about 7 feet, however, when you really stretch it to near its maximum the vac will topple over, meaning you need to keep it close to the area you’re poking around in. I’m not going to mark it down for that though, because I assume that this is because it’s new – once the hose has been stretched out to its max a good few times there’ll probably be enough ‘give’ that it’ll no longer do this.
Attractive, lightweight and scarily powerful – recommended.
