I used the grill with 20 mins of it being delivered. The instructions are usuless but I already knew that from looking on the Swan website. One of the presets is Ham, so I’m guessing that’s gammon maybe. I tried the steak preset with some rump and it was cooked very quick and beeped straight through to well done very fast, it wasn’t a very thick piece but it was perfectly cooked.
Also tried some butterflied chicken breasts marinated in some peri peri sauce on the chicken preset. Seems to work fine, just turn it now and then to get the griddle marks.
Cleaning is easy, just pop the plates off and give them a scrub in the sink. Easy!
This up-to-date version of the health grill is wonderfully easy to use and even easier to clean. Now that I’ve used it to cook all types of food, from toasted sandwiches, steak and chops to fish, I am impressed by the grill’s ability to understand and tell you the various stages of cooking. You select the type of food you wish to grill, add it when the grill has warmed up sufficiently (beep) and then the grill flashes when the food is rare, medium or well done. For toasted sandwiches, it’s best to keep an eye on progress after ‘rare’ because it depends on the filling, thickness of bread and how toasted you want your filling and bread to become. As for cleaning, when cooled, easily unclip each plate, then wipe away light residue using a piece kitchen towel, or soak in soapy water then sponge off heavy residue. Couldn’t be simpler to cook healthy food and wash up afterwards.
Bought for my 16 year old son who likes to cook. Very easy to clean. Opens out completely flat too so u can use it as two flat cooking plates – so clever. Both heated plates clip off easily and can be submerged in water for cleaning. Looks good in the kitchen. Happy with it as an addition to our kitchen and saves the cooker getting dirty!

The instruction booklet is very poor, for example there is a defrost function which is not mentioned so which products can you defrost, steak, fish who knows. There is a setting for Ham, who grills ham but no setting for Sausages or Pork Loin Steaks. I even emailed them to ask them which setting they would recommend for Pork Loins and their response was to read the instruction booklet, not a helpful. Next time I will pay the extra and get the tefal versio

The delivery time was better than stated. It is easy to operate and easy to use and clean. In conclusion it is very much worth the money.

One of the best things we’ve bought for our kitchen. Our oven has hardly been used since purchasing. The grill heats up quickly, the settings are easy to use, the removable plates makes cleaning very easy. 100% would recommend

Simple and easy to use and. has cooked perfectly on a number of settings. Quicker than the Optigrill it replaced.
The only niggle is that “Cook from Frozen” isn’t achievable (as far as I can tell) in a single programmed operation.

It’s really well built in England which in this day and age is rare. It is expensive compared to a George Foreman or similar but you get what you pay for. The plates come out for washing and it heats up very quickly, I’ve cooked burgers and steaks to perfection I’ve also cook toasted sandwiches. I love it and would definitely recommend it.
