Works well, fits in the hand nicely, however it does feel a bit plasticky. Left-click feels particularly strange the first time you click it after a period of not using it.
A good wireless mouse however the button on the side is annoying and sometimes gets in the way
Chose this over the expensive ones sold by well known brands only because, I wanted a battery which would last. I’m still on the same batteries which I put in when I bought the Mouse. Only bad thing is that the blue light in the wheel has stopped working but hasn’t had any negative impact on any of the buttons or anything.
Might have to buy another just so I have a back up in case this becomes discontinued.
Forgot to add that I bought this 4 months ago!
Feels very plasticy but no complaints aside from that.
Fits my hand perfectly (I have quite small hands) and moves really well even over hard surfaces.
Great mouse for gaming. Dpi adjuster is very handy too. Goes into a ‘sleep’ mode when it’s been off for X amount of time, which is great as it saves battery life.
Shame about its loud click and how the dpi adjuster buttons don’t light up as seen in the pic. But overall a really good produc
The mouse itself is slightly larger then a standard two button mouse however smaller then some other gaming mouses that can be purchased. I personally find the mouse a good size for my hands which are a medium size.
The mouse comes with a bluetooth adaptor that is already paired (this is very small and discreet and is hidden in a handy slot under the battery compartment). To get started, i put in two aa batteries and plugged the adaptor into the mac and it was working straight away.
The mouse has different sensitivities and i found the default setting best for me. The range of the mouse is outstanding, literally worked through two solid walls without any problems. I’ve only used the mouse without a mouse mat on a solid surface and the mouse worked without any problem. I can’t comment on the quoted battery life as i’ve not had the product long enough.
Overall i would recommend for the price.
When new it was the perfect mouse. Had the same model but the wired version previously, both are very smooth both in normal usage and when gaming and feel identical. This wireless one does have the added advantage that the cable doesn’t always get in the way and the option to turn off all the blue lights is one of my favourite features since I usually use it in the dark and the light is annoying.
After using for well over a year I realise that sometimes the connection is bad and the mouse doesn’t respond very well, this usually happens if I haven’t changed The batteries for a while so I assume it may be due to low battery since it works perfectly after I change the batteries.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for a wireless mouse and will definitely buy again when I need another mouse
I was after a replacement mouse for my gaming laptop. Most Wireless mice are on the small side, so I was very happy when this arrived, as it a full size mouse.
It arrived in TeckNet’s frustration free packaging. (plain printed cardboard, ideal for recycling)
Set up is plug and play, and works immediately on Windows and Linux.
Its a good size and fits my hand perfectly, The left/right buttons have slight curve to them, which makes them very comfortable. The left thumb buttons are in the perfect position for my grip and the texturing around the thumb area, helps with the grip when your engaged in frantic FPS games.
The Mouse feels very sturdy and after a full weeks of using it with games such as Battlefield V, Lord of the Rings Online and Dreadnought, I can say its performed very well. Even surviving being knocked of the desk.
All the buttons are responsive and easy to use, The wheel is smooth to turn with a nice texture on it.
Over all this is an excellent mouse, and very well priced.. I have paid more in the past for a wireless mouse, only to be disappointed. TechNet have come up with a winner. Get this mouse even if your not a gamer, its great for use as a normal mouse..
I’m not sure how this is made so little money. Really good, cheap, easy to use, not the most comfortable mouse but for the money I can’t complain. Accuracy is acceptable for general use. Not recommend for gaming or art though.
First impressions, looks very study and has a bit of weight to it compared to my office mice. Worked within seconds of plugging the USB receiver into my laptop and I’ve had no problems since.
The different settings of DPI can be useful at times, especially when using 3 screens to work with, it just speeds up the process instead of having to constantly move the mouse to get to where I want to click.
This mouse is very comfortable to use, even over long periods of times as it is ergonomically shaped. The receiver can also be conveniently placed inside the mouse.
I especially like the power saving mode as I rarely have the need for batteries nowadays. Only 2 AA batteries are required and this usually lasts me a few months when being used for around 9-10 hours a day easily as I use it for work and at home.
Overall, really good mouse for games as well as office use. Only thing I would probably suggest to make this even better would be to make this a silent click one. Would be perfect for working in quieter environments.
It’s pretty good for average gaming. Wouldn’t suggest it for competitive gaming as it isn’t as snappy as Logitech g305 for instance but it’s way cheaper and if your casually playing single players or non competitive games it’s good value.
Mouse came in usual packaging, hassle free. Actually a good point about this. I’ve had really expensive mice come in huge boxes with tons of packaging.
The mouse itself feels really great. Without batteries it has a light weight feel which I felt a bit lacking – but once it had the 2 x AA batteries in, the weight felt spot on.
Looks are great. It’s definitely going for the premium look. Side buttons are well placed for the thumb. Absolutely comparable with mice from Razer. I’ve previously used the DeathAdder and I really do struggle to notice the difference from looks (apart from the non RGB) and feel.
Accuracy is good. Run on a 1440p monitor at 144hz.
Overall I would say this is an excellent wireless mouse. The price point is extremely good value.
A great mouse for gaming with. I use this mouse for a range of games including first-person-shooters. The weight and shape of the mouse makes it a really comfortable product and on top of that it’s a very good price for what you get.
Pros
Nice weight
Good power saving mode
easy to toggle lights
DPI +/- buttons instead of single button cycling mode
Cons
back button is placed a bit too far back
Gathers grease and dirt if you use hand moisturiser. (can be cleaned easily by wiping with cloth)
I first tried this out on the PS4, my son was playing fortnite so it was a good tester, we found the mouse really simple to use, literally just plug in and go, the controls, the mouse responded well in game, there was a slight lagging, but we found that was down to our internet in the end.
I have also tried it on the PC with windows 10, again just plug in and go. Its lovely to use so i kept in on the pc.
Its a nice sleek design which is light weight and feels nice in your hand.
The battery life is meant to last up to a year, which is great. it turns itself off when not in use.
As with all teknet items ive purchased, the packing is simple and the item is great value for money, i would highly recommend.
Ive teams my wireless mouse with my wireless keyboard, 🙂
A must buy if you need a seriously good mouse for gaming!
Firstly, and most importantly – the mouse is super comfortable! Your hand stays in place, stopping the palm of your hand from dragging on your mousemat and therefore causing irritation. The DPI options are a great feature. Saves me having to pick up and move the mouse (you know what I mean, of you are gaming a lot). Easily the best mouse I’ve ever owned. And I’ve owned quite a few! Enough said!
For the price this a great mouse for beginner gamer’s who don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount on a mouse. It looks and feels great being very responsive to movements and button clicks. The variety of buttons make it extremely useful and really quick to use.
Overall I have no complaints about the mouse and would recommend it for any new game or even just those looking to upgrade.
So I got this for my son who needed a new one I thought I was just going to go with the cheaper one just to see.
When it arrived it was well packaged and it works like a dream so many features for a small price
Side buttons click well and feel great easy to reach, this is a great mouse for the price 100% buy this.
I’m not a gamer, I just needed a Mouse for my desktop computer and when I seen this one on Amazon, i just fell in love with it. Looks really cool, hasn’t shown any problems or defects so far. Way worth the price i paid for it, the build construction is pretty top notch despite it being made of hard plastic and it does have some weight to it. Would recommend
Having tried numerous gaming mice, including some very high end models, I was always dubious about buying an inexpensive gaming mouse and how it would perform. Well fear not, this TeckNet Raptor gaming mouse exceeded all expectations.
First of all it looks great, feels solidly built and has many features the pro gamer needs. 8 buttons is more than adequate and an adjustable 5 level DPI will keep those headshots coming. Talking of headshots, the mouse also has a fire button for even more accurate targeting.
Looks wise, it’s sleek and lights up a neon blue, what more could you want? To save battery you can even operate the mouse without the light on. Talking of battery life, I’ve been using it heavily for the last couple of weeks and it’s still going strong. One thing that amazed me was the distance this mouse will operate away from its usb dongle, to the point where my 43′ screen was too small to see.
If there is any gripes with the mouse, it may be its slightly on the large side, however it didn’t feel uncomfortable at all in my average size hands.
If you’re after a gaming mouse, and on a bit of a budget, then this is the mouse for you. I guarantee you will not be disappointed, and for less than a tenner you really cannot go wrong.
This mouse is perfect for gaming as it is light yet extremely responsive.
The thumb button is a total godsend when FPS gaming as it makes firing your weapon even faster than normal.
The 4800DPI also gives you the advantage over the other gamers as the response time is amazing.
If you are a serious gamer this mouse is an absolute steal at the price.
After only a days use I c an fairly say I am impressed with this mouse, it my not be perfect but it is pretty good.
It takes 2 AA batteries which will give a battery life of about a year in normal use, this is not outstanding but it is pretty good. Using standard batteries gives the mouse a better weight than most of the rechargeable mouses I have tried which tend to be a little too light. There are handy buttons to increase or decrease the ‘DPI’ settings of the mouse, lower DPI gives faster jerkier movement higher makes for more precise positioning. There are the normal forward and back buttons as well as a fire button under your thumb which mostly does the same as left click. The styling is pretty good too.
This is a slightly larger than average mouse and having short but fat digits this has its downside. The main one is the tendency to accidentally touch the back button which can loose you a lot of work when typing into a web page!
My son is an avid gamer so this was bought to help him in his quest for success on pc gaming. It features extra buttons similar to a joypad on a games console so provides more usability. It does feel a little strange at first when comparing it to the normal mouse as it is not fully smooth but he quickly adapted and we found that the additional features were great. It seems durable and isn’t flimsy and the buttons when pressed have a good positive feel and response. We would definitely recommend this to other gamers.
The product comes in minimal packaging (good for the environment!). It is relatively light but feels well built. The buttons work well (buttons on the mac work as left, right, scroll. The forward/backward buttons work as a fixed scroll, i.e. click then move the mouse up and down to scroll the page. The target button works as a ‘select all’ function. Resolution buttons work and essentially decrease/increase the mouse motion sensitivity.) No batteries are supplied so you’ll need to provide your own. The light feature is optional, presumably so you can extend the battery life. It doesn’t light up the two middle buttons on the version I’ve been provided but This won’t be a problem for me as I won’t be using the light so it doesn’t bother me. There is no software provided and I didn’t order the programmable mouse so can’t comment on this, although I suspect that the programmable features would not be supported on Apple computers. general mouse settings and customisation can be made using apples own control panels. Overall first impressions are good. Hopefully, it will prove to be as durable as it appears. Will update my review if anything comes to light in the coming months.
The mouse is very good value for money
Does not require any installations of any software and can be immediately used when unpacked
It is useful for gaming as well as general browsing, the forward and backward buttons used for gaming can also be used in music apps to skip songs
Scrolling speed can be adjusted accordingly depending on whether you are gaming or just browsing
The speed and the response time of the mouse is good and it is a very good gaming mouse for the money you are spending.
hought this would be close to the wired version of the mouse, But couldn’t change any settings like the wired one i had or get any software to work with it. Other than that its nice mouse good quality.
This mouse is a great price, and the service was excellent. I have no reservations about the mouse at all, but a little frustrated that recent Microsoft updates to Windows 10 seem to have upset BOTH of my wireless mice. I bought this mouse because I thought there was a problem with the existing one that I had. Turns out there wasn’t, and the new one behaves the same as the old one.
The reason anyone will be looking at the TeckNet mouse is price; it’s one of the cheapest high DPI wireless mice that is delivered from the UK.
The mouse worked straight out the box (No drivers or any other software to install)
With the multiple buttons it allows me to game alot easier as I can preset each button to complete different actions based on the game I’m playing.
The mouse seems well built and because of this it is fantastic value for money.
The blue lights go great with my blue light up keyboard!
Generally a good mouse, works well and is very responsive on a good range of surfaces. However the internal lights broke after the second turn on so can’t give it any higher. Good mouse however, probably just a loose wire. 4* as it generally works and for the cost its definately worth it.
Great Mouse, Price is unbeatable. 10/10.
*LONG REVIEW BELOW, READ SHORT ANSWER ABOVE IF YOU ARE LAZY / IN A RUSH*
For the price point, this mouse is simply great! The selling points of fast connectivity and an ergonomic feel are entirely true. I’ve been using this mouse for both office work and intense gaming and I can safely say it can play hard at both.
So, is this very wallet friendly mouse worth it? In one word, yes. But allow me to elaborate.
The box when delivered was tiny, and discreet with just simple cardboard. No uneccessary flashy, glossy, computer generated art, which at first made me believe the price was going to be indicative of the product – cheap.
However, I was pleasantly suprised when I unboxed the mouse. It was light, a bit too light for my liking, but the 2 AA batteries made it much more heavier. The LED effect isn’t spectacular by any means, but in a way its simplistic and calm. Plus, for 10 / $13~ you shouldn’t expect the blackpool illuminations (google it).
Upon use the mouse is very ergonomic as claimed, it feels snug under my palm (my hands are rather large, so smaller/even larger hands may or may not prefer it). The buttons are responsive and the instructions are simple. Slap in your AAs, plug in the connector, turn it on either with or without the little blue LED and away you go.
Some VERY minor gripes if I was to knitpick would be the buttons feel a tad cheap (again, to be expected so ignore this really), the DPI settings are a little confusing with the 2 buttons as it doesn’t indicate if i can go higher or lower – its just inference, and also i have yet to find a use for the left side “fire” button.
In conclusion, this mouse, for the price, is simply a no brainer. Would it hold it’s own against a razer mamba or other high end mouse? Well, suprisingly, it wouldn’t be a huge deal off. Those would certainly feel more premium, and light up more for those colour enthusiasts, but at the same time be prepared to shell out 10x – 14x the amount of this.
If you are short for money or simply want to spend as little as possible, you won’t beat this. I would recommend this if you are new to PC Gaming, just bought a computer or simply need to save.
This mouse will do you no wrong while you save for a more premium model, or simply tide you over until it breaks.
The mouse works well, good smooth and precise movement and connected without issues. I just don’t find it very comfortable, and I don’t think I’d want to use it for long periods. It feels a bit awkward in my hand, and the left button in particular feels oddly angled under my finger. I do like the very good grip on the mouse wheel, though – some cheap mice have wheels that wear smooth after a while and become difficult to turn; I think this one will last. The large number of buttons is a selling point, although two of them – for changing the DPI up and down – could easily have been combined into one button, like on most other multi-DPI mice. The extra “fire” button on the side sends three successive left-button presses, which could be good for rapid-fire in a gaming scenario – or fast paragraph selection in a non-gaming scenario! – but I find it a little awkwardly positioned, it doesn’t fall naturally under my thumb and I don’t think I’d want to rely on it in a game.
PROS:
– Easy set up, just plug in the receiver and go
– Smooth and precise movement, works well on my textured white desktop
– A good knurled grip on the wheel
– A decent range of DPI settings
– Two batteries for longer battery life
CONS:
– Feels awkward and rather uncomfortable in my hand
– The “fire” button is awkwardly positioned and difficult to press
Overall, might be good for someone with a different shaped hand from me (I felt it was designed for a smaller hand but a longer thumb), but I prefer a more ergonomic shape. Perhaps I’m just not holding it right. In any case, I think this will be a backup rather than my everyday mouse.
I actually really like this mouse. Yeah, it’s super cheap and feels light and plasticy, but you know what, it does the job and it’s extremely responsive. Nice forward and back buttons, and the scroll wheel is comfortable and slightly notched. Overall mouse texture feels nice, and it sits well in your hand. If you have huge hands, don’t go for this though, better for those with a lighter touch. Takes one AA battery, seems to last a long time. Can turn off the lights to save battery, and to be honest the lights are a bit pointless unless you want a disco on your desk.
Good mouse for gaming and general day to day use like web browsing and word processing.
Pros
– Good build, look and feel
– Has eight adjustable DPI levels and the defaults are set to 1000/1500/2000/3000/4000/5000/6000/7000
– In addition to left, right and middle click it has side buttons which are handy for back/forward when web browsing and another extra button on the side which is handy for gaming.
-Good wireless range
Cons
Not as heavy as like a gaming mouse to be,but it depends on person to person.
Feels comfortable in the hand. Easy to use.The instructions are easy to understand to enable me to ger started straight away. I’ve never had a gaming mouse before a I was surprised at how quickly I learnt how to use the buttons automatically. The mouse is well made and quick to respond. Good quality material and it’s good having the choice of having the ability to have it lit up or not as the need arises. I like this new addition to my gaming experience.
Obtained the product free as promotion.
Its what it seems, a cheap gaming mouse. It’s easy to get working, plug the dongle into a USB port and turn it on. The buttons on the top change the sensitivity from slow to insane, there will be a setting that suits you. I’ve never really trusted wireless mouses for gaming always preferring wired for reliability but honestly I’ve not noticed any difference.
It feels pretty plasticy but for the price what are you expecting. Overall I liked it.
Nice mouse, I don’t really need anything better. Ergonomic and cool, it’s a good mouse for that price. Although how you have to click after you idle for 5 minutes is annoying.
This is a pretty good wireless gaming mouse. It’s built well, takes 2 AA batteries and has blue LED’s for the scroll wheel. It tracks well too which is always a bonus and I think for the price you are getting a very solid wireless gaming mouse.
Very pleased with the product.
This mouse has 8 buttons, the standard left and right click plus scroll wheel click, DPI increase, DPI decrease, forward, backward and gaming “fire” button which I believe functions as a short duration left click but in other games may reduce mouse sensitivity to help with sniping/aiming.
Plug n play, no drivers needed and a good range of DPI settings. There’s also a nice option to have the mouse on without the LED light so if that bothers you, you can still use the mouse without the blue light.
I have an older wired model of this mouse which doesn’t have a few of the extra buttons but has also lasted a good while with constant use so here’s to hoping this one will last just as long 🙂
Excellent mouse, very comfy and responsive.
I use it across the room from my pc with no issues with reception or lag. There’s a nice blue light behind the mouse wheel that can be turned off by the button underneath if you want (see photos).
My other wired mouse is only 1200 dpi so this feels amazingly responsive and smooth at its 4800 dpi. It also has two buttons to change dpi settings, (one to go up and one to go down) which makes it easier than other mice with only allow you to cycle through their (usually 3) dpi options.
Big fan of it.
Love this product, great design, good sensitivity, has an option to light up in a cool blue colour, comfortable grip.
great for the price , a bit light but works well
The mouse generally feels sturdy and well built and has a nice weight to it. The rubber grip on the scroll wheel provides accurate and sharp scrolling. The mouse was a tiny bit larger than I was expecting but this makes it more comfortable in your hand. I personally feel that the buttons are a tiny bit far back to be easily reached e.g. the dpi buttons. The mouse looks really stylish and has a good grippy texture but would benefit from being shaped to fit into the palm of the hand a little better. The mouse is smooth and responsive across all dpi settings and has a good feeling click. The receiver tucks away neatly into the base of the mouse, which is ideal for transportation.
Overall the mouse is good value and functions well. I personally would prefer for the mouse to be more ergonomic, even if that was at the expense of the cool alien-like design.
The mouse is of good quality and the addition of thumb buttons allow for more flexibilty when playing games and act as forward and back in a browser. The dongle can be hidden inside the mouse when not needed which means that you are less likely to lose it.
The mouse itself came with very speedy delivery as I received it pretty much the next day.
The packaging itself that it came in is very nice however the mouse could be more safely packages as there is nothing in the packaging to protect the mouse just a small bag that the mouse is in.
If you register the product you get 2 years free warranty which I like.
Also you get a very detailed help guide inside the packaging too with clear instructions on how to use the mouse.
The mouse is very easy to use and only requires one battery.
It is very light so is easy to manoeuvre and I did not require a mouse pad.
Overall good product and I would purchase again as a gift.
As a mouse I can’t fault it. Predominantly used for gaming it’s performed superbly.
The claims of a twelve month lifespan for the battery though is crazy – I’m on my third battery in as many months.
Low cost but does what it says on the box, so far I have not used heavily but so far so good.
This mouse is as good as it can get for this money.
I have the wired version of this mouse and can say that I can’t notice the delay or lag on this mouse.
Well, at least under normal use and without WiFi.
When you use WiFi to connect to the internet and this mouse to play at the same time. You will probably notice some bleeps or a slight degradation on the performance. This is totally normal while using 2.4GHz WiFi, because the mouse uses the same frequency. You can avoid this situation by switching to 5.4Ghz on your laptop/pc or simply by connecting via wire.
I use the wired mouse as my mainly driver and I can say that the wireless one is a really good switch just to remove cables from my desk.
The product comes with good warranty and Tecknet have good customer support, so highly reommended
Very good gaming mouse, I have tried several before but this is definitely the best. It says it is just a Plug n Play device but just a word of advice, I had a few issues with the buttons not working correctly in games – seemed to be almost non-responsive – however this was solved by downloading and installing the latest software from the website. No problems since. Highly recommended.
Easy to install. Just plug in the dongle into a USB port and it automatically works.
The mouse is larger than a standard computer mouse — OK for adult hands but may be too large for children.
Sensitivity and speed are good — and the scroll wheel is easy to use.
Gaming buttons are the advantage to this mouse — if you just want a standard wireless PC mouse, there may be better alternative options.
For the price I have paid for, this mouse is great, I am satisfied with it.
Great appearance, great feeling and great material qualities.
And as other reviews have mentioned, this mouse has three buttons near the thumb, which can be awkward sometimes.
Note: All buttons are NOT programmable.
Normally I just buy mice which come together with a keyboard, since I have big hands these mouse tend to be a little on the small side.
For me this mouse definitely is much more comfortable, it’s like wearing the correct shoes, if that makes sense, I’m thinking about buying another one of these for work.
I’m only had it a short time, therefore I’m not sure on battery life, however it is a precise thing, and I’m not a hardened gamer therefore in this aspect I cannot judge. However I can say for general computer use its excellent and I simply cannot go back to a smaller less ergonomic uncomfortable mouse.
I like the blue glow it emits and even so the thing does not look like a toy.
How we have moved on since the mouse with rubber ball and all the maintenance that involved, beneath the mouse there isn’t the normal the red glow, so what this is using is anyone’s guess!
The price I paid from amazon was 9.99 for that price you simply cannot go wrong.
Wanted a different wireless mouse, having previously ordered a different wireless mouse from the same company, which I still use on another laptop, I decided to give this one a go.
For the money its an awful lot of mouse. Designed for gaming, a use I haven’t tried yet, it has a multitude of buttons and a super sensitive wheel. The mouse is very comfortable to use for normal usage and I can’t wait to give COD WW2 a bash.
The wireless gaming mouse was delivered in tidy hassle-free packaging. I have used this product over the last 4 days for both gaming and for general day to day use. I have enjoyed using it and will list out some of the features of this product
* Plug and play — insert batteries, plug in the dongle and start playing. No need for drivers or other software to be installed
* Good build, look and feel
* In addition to left, right and middle click it has side buttons which are handy for back/forward when web browsing and another extra button on the side which is handy for gaming.
* 5 DPI settings ranging from 800 to 4000 DPI controlled by two buttons (higher/lower)
* Has a LED low power indicator
All in all, a versatile feature rich gaming mouse. Good value for money.
The TeckNet Raptor is a great mouse for general use and gaming. All of the buttons function well, it seems fairly durable and I’ve had barely any problems when using it. The DPI can be easily adjusted using the buttons on top and I’ve not encountered any lag issues when moving the mouse around (I am relatively close to the USB, so this might be different if you are further away). My only minor dislike for the mouse is that my thumb is quite big, so i don’t have much space to grip the mouse without accidentally pressing the buttons on the side.
All in all, it’s a great mouse for the price, just not the best if you’ve got big thumbs like me.
This is really a great mouse and I really like it. However, it dropped a star because it does not really like running on rechargeable NmHi batteries because they are only 1.2v and this device really wants the full 1.5v. It will work initially with the 1.2v rechargeable batteries, but only because the peak charge of a NiMh battery is 1.4v, which quickly drops to 1.2v.
Good mouse for the price, only annoyance is the scroll wheel jumps two spaces every so often. Not had a chance to try out the Fire button yet.
I love the mouse, The design is great, looks cool and the price is fantastic absolutely. it works perfectly fine and it came in a stress-free packaging and it has 5 DPI level adjustment and also 5 buttons!! It has an aim button, how amazing!. What I love about this mouse is that only one AA battery needed. Also, it is lightweight. I love the fact that it has so many buttons and However, at the first glance, the plastic feels cheap. Also, I think it is not as smooth as my previous Tecknet mouse.
This is pretty much as I expected. It has a nice feel and he button doesn’t click too loudly like some wireless mice. The ability to store the wireless dongle in the base of the mouse is a nice touch. The other (best) feature is the ability to easily change to rate at which the cursor travels across the screen. A click of the top center buttons. The internal light will flash (1-5) times depending on the setting selected. So the buttons are essentially a + and – toggle for sensitivity.
The rotary wheel is a touch on the clunky side for my liking, I would prefer smaller travel distance per click but its not a deal breaker. The side buttons are a little tacky and although surplus to my CAD requirements I suspect the avid gamer will come to dislike them.
The illuminated setting is toggled easily on the bottom of the mouse and is subtle which is nice, but to save battery I think most people will leave off most of the time. The overall quality of the mouse plastic is no better than other mice and makes it feel standard rather than premium, but you cant be too picky for this price bracket.
For a wireless mouse the re-activeness and wake up is second to none and you would do well to know you weren’t using a wired mouse. So all in all functionality wins over feel here. If you want a cheap mouse that does the job, well, then this is for you.
Feel free to click the button below if this review has been useful. Thanks
A responsive flash mouse for a very reasonable price. It works pretty seemlessly out of the box, all you need to do is plug in the USB receiver and add a battery and youre good to go. It is a very light mouse but does fit nicely in the hand, the additional thumb buttons come in handy with this mouse sporting the target mouse button that acutally serves as a double click shortcut. Its fully plastic so dont expect the refined finish that you would get on a 100 logtitech mouse but like I said, for the price you cant really argue!
Comfortable grip. Ideal hand positioning. It has the option to be lit up or can be switched off.
My teenage son thinks this is a brilliant mouse – no aching hands whilst gaming!
Had it for a couple of days now & no complaints so far!
Simple plug and play with this wireless gaming mouse, no messy configuration needed.Takes a single AA battery and the power of this battery is saved by the mouse shutting itself down when the PC is switched off…neat feature! Sits comfortably in the palm of my hand and is a pleasure to use. It has 5 dpi settings to suit individual requirements. This mouse also has a nice blue light which shines through, it can be switched off if needed. Works flawlessly with my Windows 10 PC.
I’m very pleased with this mouse. For the price it is good value.
Really cool looking mouse that fits well in my hand and has lots of buttons. In fact it took me a while to learn all the different buttons, which have functions built in but I believe that you can re-assign what each button does through ‘settings’ in windows 10, if you desire. Comes well packed in asturdy box and fast delivery, too!
Wireless Gaming Mouse, TeckNet RAPTOR 4000DPI 2.4G Professional Optical Computer Cordless Gaming Mice with 24 Month Battery Life, 5 DPI Adjustment Levels, 8 Buttons, Nano Receiver, LED Backlight and 30 Million Lifelong Clicks
This is a very nice full size wireless gaming mouse, it has 5 Dpi settings which are – 800/1200/1600/2400/4000. 800Dpi being ideal for sensitive movement of the mouse for example when aiming a weapon, the higher 4000Dpi setting is better for looking around quickly. There are 8 buttons included for the mouse, these can be used for going back & forth between pages, instantly selecting text, firing a weapon etc. It has a built in scroll wheel which is smooth but with slight resistance, there are also 2 buttons for going up or down between the Dpi settings. Please note that none of these buttons are programmable so you shouldn’t need additional software installed.
The mouse is powered by a single AA battery, there is a three way switch on the back which turns the mouse off in the middle position, if you turn the switch one way the mouse is illuminated, switch it the other way & it turns the illumination off which may be the reason why some have posted that the battery runs flat quickly? To get the best battery life out of this you should use good quality batteries & select the switch for illumination to be off. The mouse will flash around the scroll wheel if it detects the battery is running low.
The mouse performs well, I plugged the small USB adapter into my Windows 10 computers USB port which can be either USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 & it was recognised instantly (the adapter can be found pushed into a slot on the rear of the mouse) Once recognised the cursor moves across the screen smoothly without skipping or jitter, I use a cloth covered black mouse mat made by the same company which this mouse works perfectly with.
This is a very capable gaming mouse, it’s accurate & comfortable to use, it also has that high-tech look about it.
Recommended!
Great mouse, and very lightweight. fits nicely in the palm of your hand, and all the buttons are in the right places for my fingers.
If your used to a heavier mouse (i have a Wireless Logitech one that’s 3 times heavier than this) then it will feel unusual at first, but after a few hours gaming, you will definitely feel the difference and benefit of the lighter mouse.
Works really well on most surfaces, and not been able to check the battery life yet as it lasts 12 months on a single battery.
Really surprised at just how nice this mouse is. The lights on a wireless mouse is a big bonus, but keep in mind if you leave them on at all times the battery will drain faster. The excellent option is there to turn off the lights only too. 🙂
Overall good quality, no drop in signal experienced and a good selection of buttons to choose from.
Only shame is there is no software with the mouse to map the buttons, but most games let you do that in the options.
Fits nicely into my palm. Buttons are responsive and the LED lights can be turned on and off at will. Feels pretty light and not sturdy but for the price it is expectable. Haven’t tested how long it lasted yet. The nano adapter also works perfectly as how a wireless mouse should be. Overall a good cheap gaming mouse if you want to try your hands on a gaming mouse before using the more expensive ones/
Good value for money. Mouse is plug ang play, just put the USB stick in the PC and the mouse starts working. The mouse goes into standby mode after not being used so you need to click it to switch back on. Good sensitivity. I use it for gaming.
This is a really good started wireless mouses. Very responsive easy to setup, its slightly small for someone with big hands but still comfortable to hold. It has adjustable DPI from 800 to 4000. which is very good in games and on the normal desktop. It also has the aim button on the side. Very useful in games like PUBG,H1Z1 ect. for quick aiming. Overall I would recommend this a great starter mouse. It does a have a couple of bad points. First it’s slightly too light for me making it slightly heavier would be nice.. Apart from this it’s a great mouse. 4 Stars
Great comfortable mouse that is great to use. It has lots of buttons whixh is great but not so useful for Mac users as you cannot program them. Still it is very reasonable priced and performa well.
A very nice mouse that worked straight out of the box and does everything that it is supposed to do. I would give it five stars except for the fact that it times out, that is switches itself off rather too quickly for the games I play and I cannot find an override for this feature. Would I buy it again? Most certainly.
pleased overall. well designed. Buttons feel cheap, but item is good value overall.
Loses one star because one of the thumb buttons mirrors the left mouse button. Didn’t expect this.
Good Gaming Mouse: I have tested it for approx. a week for general use and Gaming and I’m happy with its performance
* Worked straight out the box (No drivers or any other software to install)
* Useful for general web browsing and ITunes as the Gaming forward backwards buttons work as forward/ backward buttons in these programs.
* Allow me to game easier when I don’t carry and an additional controller
* The adjustable DPI is useful for gaming and general use where it useful to adjust the speed of the scrolling speed of the mouse.
* Good value for money
* Seems well built
I haven’t owned any other gaming mouse’s so I can’t compare to others but this seems perfectly suitable for your average gamer or anyone needing a wireless mouse.
I haven’t owned it long enough to tell whether the batter claims of 24 months are realistic, but it only takes one AA battery so as long as it lasts at least 6 months I will be happy.
I’ve been using and testing the mouse for about 2 days now, wanted to make the switch from a wired mouse to a wireless one and having used Tecknets mice before I thought I’d give them a shot with wireless as well. I really really like it, it looks nice, although the LED’s could be a bit brighter, it feels nice and even sounds nice (the click is actually quite satisfying).
The mouse itself is pretty light but included with the AA Battery it needs makes it a little bit heavier, would be nice if it included some internal weights though just to weigh it down a little more.
One of my biggest gripes with the mouse is that it switches itself off (idles) after a while and you need to click to get it to turn back on again, which can be quite inconvenient but I can imagine that you will get used to it.
It’s got a good range of DPI settings, so much so that it’s taking me a while to find a good setting to get used to.
Overall, I’m pleased with it and don’t think I’ll move back to my wired one anytime soon, as for the price, I’d easily say it’s worth it, especially if you’re just wanting to try out wireless mice before moving onto something more expensive like a Corsair.
Update: I’ve been using the mouse for a while now and I absolutely love it, best mouse I have ever owned. I managed to get used to a DPI setting and it’s just as smooth as my original mouse, I am overjoyed with the mouse.
Excellent mouse. Connected easily – plug and play! The changeable sensitivity is great, however the top setting (4000dpi I believe) is extremely sensitive. Great feel in the hand and the extra buttons make navigation and gaming easier. The LED scroll wheel is a great little touch. Havent had it long enough to test battery life but its turned on firat time everytime for me and has last multi hour gaming sessions. Would I buy again? Yes I Would! I have plenty of TeckNet products and they’re all Excellent!
Excellent lightweight inexpensive mouse
Wireless mouse that connects to computer with a mini USB dongle that stows away at the bottom of the mouse when not in use.
Only needs one AA battery to operate
Two modes when switched on – normal and with blue LED lights, perfect as you may not always want the LED lights on or vice versa.
Smooth and lightweight, scrolling is a breeze and 7 buttons.
When I first opened the package I thought the mouse felt really light, feels alot better once I fitted a battery (which is not supplied).
The mouse is ergonomic, and fits perfectly in your hand, and is comfortable to use. Has 5 adjustable DPI settings 800 tp 4000 DPI. I mainly play Call Of Duty and found the numerous buttons on the side of the mouse great.
For the price its a decent mouse – although I do think it could do with being ‘weighted’ a little.
So pleased with this company. Obviously quality not as good as Razer etc. However for the price it the Tecknet products do the job, look pretty sweet and are very lightweight. Obviously because they are cheap they are light, but that’s not always a negative. I’ve not purchased this for serious gaming. I’ve purchased it for when I jus want play a casual RTS in front of the telly. And for that. It’s ideal.
The actual mouse doesn’t look like the photo and the LED light is very dim.
Good Mouse overall. Does the job as described. Has some tracking issues on certain surfaces (due to the sensor) but for the price definitely not bad. Ergonomically, it isn’t bad for people with mid-large hands, however, obviously cannot compete with the likes of MX Master or MX Performance. (which it is not). Wheel button is responsive and quite clicky. Only real complaint is really the non-programmable double click button. I’d rather see an auxiliary button there that improves multitasking.
This mouse is easily one of the best in it’s price range, it comes with everything you need and instructions on how to set up the wireless connection which is very simple to do. The build of the mouse makes it comfortable to hold and easy to move which helps when playing games which need quick movement. The clicks work perfectly and respond instantly helping response times in game improve. This mouse will make your gaming experience more satisfying and improve slightly, worth buying.
It’s a pretty good wireless mouse with 5 buttons, scroll wheel and adjustable dpi settings. It doesn’t come with an AA battery and the USB WiFi adaptor didn’t work well when plugged in a socket at the back of my metal case. Other than that, it’s worked reliably once I moved the adaptor to a front socket.
I don’t know where they get “24 Month Battery Life” from – mine last around 2 month at best. For comparison a Microsoft mouse I use lasts around 6-9 month. Still, I consider it ok for the price and I’ve bought far worse.
The main reason anyone will be looking at the TeckNet mouse is price; it’s one of the cheapest high DPI wireless mice that is delivered from the UK.
Like me before buying, you will be wondering two things right now;
(a) Is this really a 4000DPI mouse, and how good can the wireless be at this price?
(b) What are they skimping out on to get the price so low?
Well, for (a), yes it really is a 4000DPI mouse, and the wireless is actually very good. Very good mouse movement even at the high DPI, and the connection is dedicated wireless rather than the far slower Bluetooth based cordless mice you used to get at this price point. I’m not sure of the data rate, but it seems fast enough (I’m guessing it will be about 500Hz).
For (b), you don’t get the massive packaging and lots of paper; just the mouse in a brown cardboard box with minimal instructions. The actual body of the TechNet looks the part, but the bits that look like they might be rubber are actually moulded onto the plastic to get the price down.
For the price though, you can’t complain. There are actually a fair few things to like here;
Firstly, the instructions may be terse, but they have been written by an English speaker (TechNet is actually based in Liverpool). Obviously, that also means the mouse ships from a mainland address rather than from China.
The electronics on the mouse are very good. The biggest accolade you can give to a wireless mouse is that it feels like a wired one, and the TechNet does just that. Zero lag and the wake-up is so short that you don’t notice it (click a mouse button and it comes straight back on). Did I also mention it goes up to 4000DPI? That’s 333DPI to the pound at the current price; bargain! The left-right button and mouse wheel action are also good; solid clicks and good scroll (but no left-right scroll on the wheel — its up-down only).
Wireless mice go to sleep on inactivity, and the wake-up can be jarring (it was the reason I gave up on the first few generations of wireless). The idle time before sleep is reassuringly long and the wake-up-on-click of the TechNet is instantaneous, so no worries there, and actually much better than I expected.
It is also totally plug-and-play on Windows 10; detected immediately when I plugged in the USB dongle, and DPI is controlled from buttons on the mouse.
Oh, and I’ve also been playing Titanfall 2 with it. Slightly less refined on the casing than a more expensive mouse, but no issues in actual gaming.
The only potentially deal breaking issues (if any at this price) are the lack of rubber on the body, and the much cheaper finish on the secondary buttons on the side (which I personally won’t be using: I would have preferred them to be omitted and have rubber on the mouse body).
A lesser downside is the lack of customisation other than the usual default mouse customisations your OS offers. A typical Logitech gaming mouse has customisations to set LED colours and create DPI setpoints. I don’t miss any of this, and certainly would not want to pay x5 as much to have them!
I don’t yet know how long it lasts on the battery; I will update when I know; I’m leaving it constantly on (even when not in use) with the ‘no LED’ setting.
Overall, well worth the cash for the money-conscious, and probably good as a back-up for even the most snobbish gamer.
Recommended.
Great
– Nice texture making it really nice to hold
– Comfortable, ergonomic build, suitable for usage for extended periods of time
– Wireless connection is stable
– Additional buttons that can be used in games
– Different DPI settings
– Responsive
– Looks nice
– Low price, great value
It is great mouse and I recommend it to everyone that doesn’t want to spend fortune on a gaming mouse.
It is quite jerky and the battery runs out in approximately 3 days. Contacted seller and they were very very helpful. I was offered a refund without the need to return it or a replacement. I took the refund because the battery life is quite a deal breaker and I doubt any replacement could make a difference as I am used to a mouse with a battery life that lasts for months.
Really impressed with the value for money, and it’s so easy to install.
Just
– Remove the usb from the bottom of the mouse,
– Put usb in port… easy peasy squeeze the lemon,
– Installed before you have time to process it yourself.
Smooth, fast, the ergonomic fit is perfect, the buttons are a bit sensitive but you get used to it very quickly, and it works from a fair distance.
This is the case of a great looking mouse not performing as good as it looks.
As soon as I held the mouse, it just didn’t feel right. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good mouse, it wasn’t a fast responsive mouse which would have made it a great mouse.
Responsive, good size. Usb fits nicely into back of mouse if packing into a laptop bag. Only niggle is that it does not light up as much as the picture indicates.
This is an excellent gamer’s mouse. It is really light and easy to use. It is supplied without the necessary AA battery, so you will need to buy one if you don’t have a spare.
Beside the battery compartment on the base is the Nano receiver. Lift this out and plug into the device you want to use the mouse with. This is handy if you use a laptop as there is a convenient place to store the receiver when packing up. It is plug and play so connection is effortless, but don’t forget to turn the mouse on first, also on the base. There are three positions for the power switch, ON, OFF and ON with internal lights. The lights are pretty if you’re bothered, but of course, even LED lights use up juice, although there is an automatic power-off when the device is switched off or the Nano receiver is disconnected.
The mouse looks sleek and angular and is really comfortable to use. This is a mouse that is also good for day to day use, not just gaming. The buttons are not programmable, but they all do their jobs well.
Changing the resolution is simple using the dedicated up/down DPI buttons located behind the wheel. You can select any of DPI 800/1200/1600/2400/4000 optical sensors.
I notice that some reviewers experienced lag. This is most likely to be caused by cross talk from another wireless device being used at the same time nearby.
excellent mouse, only had to ‘plug and play’, I like the blue glow from the mouse
very accurate after changing the dpi which is on top of the mouse
I have difficulty with using holding and using things with my hands, found this very comfertable and buttons in convenient places only thing is I think a choice of color would be the only thing I would change.
all in all, great mouse
Real good gaming mouse. Comfortable in the hand, decent size, and very responsive. Couldn’t detect any lag whatsoever while gaming on my pc. The materials seem strong and durable, and likely to survive a few drops. The buttons are clicky and have decent travel. The mouse as a whole is also quite light which is a definite plus.
Overall, really good buy.
Great Wireless Gaming Mouse.
This is a great gaming mouse with many good features. It ergonimally fits the hand, has easy to reach buttons with a few additional ones which allows you to set macros. The scroll wheel has a great feel and all of the buttons have a nice pressure added to them. Everything is kept at the bottom of the mouse (Battery Compartment/ Wireless Dongle) so it allows for a very clear workspace. It has an easy connectivity being a simple plug and play type deal.
I would definitely reccomend this gaming mouse!
l think I’ve found the mouse I’ll be using going forward. Sure, the mouse looks really cool, and I really like how smooth it moves across the mouse pad. I initially thought the mouse was really light, but comparing it against other mice (mouses) I have, it’s similar in weight, which is great and really shows how smooth the bottom padding is.
I especially like that I can switch the dpi up and down via dedicated buttons. I’m typically used to 1600 dpi, but this bad boy has 2400 and 4000 dpi settings, which I’ll test in some of my games. The mouse feels responsive too, I haven’t noticed any lag. Of course, the transmitter isn’t very far from where the mouse is on my desk, so that may help.
The on/off function is pretty cool too, saving battery power, and only requires me to click the mouse for it to come on.
I don’t know how long the single AA battery will last, I’ll keep an eye on this though.
Overall, really pleased with the quality and feel of this mouse. One less wire to have cluttering my desk, which is always a good thing. 🙂
An absolutly fantastic priced wireless mouse that is so smooth and comfortable to use and fits well in my hand. Very impressive mouse with some nice added extras. It is on the light side if you have been used to heavier mouses but it doesnt take too long to get used to.
I bought this mouse to replace my years old Microsft wired mouse. I do a bit of gaming so thought I would get this one. It looks great, its very responsive, not too heavy, the packaging was great ( a cardboard box rather than a horrible blister pack), the wireless connector is very small and fits neatly on the bottom, you can turn it off when not using it to save the battery, the extra buttons work well in games. In summary, if you need a mouse then buy this one.
I have been using the wired version of this mouse for a year now and love it, i use it for gaming and work. However i was excited to get this after getting the TeckNet large mouse mat as it freed my hand completely with gaming and productivity. So now i am wireless, and have all the room of the desk to work and play with ease. Best decision i made!
Arrived quickly in frustration free packaging – there is a 2 year guarantee card in the box.
The mouse requires a single AA battery. I plugged the mouse USB connector in to a windows 10 box and it just worked. There is a switch on the bottom that can be in off, on or illuminated mode. When the mouse is illuminated under the sensitivity button.
The mouse is full sized and feels solid and responsive. The dpi is useful when you want increased sensitivity when selecting something that is very small or you just want to be more controlled.
All is all this is a good mouse – it feels solid and the addition of the blue illumination gives it the gaming look.
Original item arrived broken. Sent it back and got a refund. The company then contacted me and said they would send me a free one to make up for the issue. Item works well and is responsive. I use it for playing world of tanks where precision is important and it works very well.
It has a great design.
It has input lag, sometimes it’s very noticeable and annoying .Especially for gaming, that makes a huge difference in those critical moments. And this is supposed to be a gaming mouse. When it does work as it should, it’s ok.But sometimes I need to reconnect the dongle for that. The DPI is changed easily and all the buttons work.
The “Fire” button it’s pretty useless there, it’s more like it gets in the way. But I’m most disturbed by “forward-backward” buttons on the left lateral side. It’s not a major issue though.
Good price, does it’s job .
The mouse is perfectly sized and is comfortable to use. It looks brilliant with the different textures. Page scrolling buttons are really useful. The light is not as bright as shown in the picture.
Good, however I cannot remap the fire button and it simply functions as a second left click, which is unfortunate
