A BIG and heavy patio heater – one that requires a fair bit of construction, but once complete – fab.
It really keeps the garden patio area worm and cosy – essential in the cooler evening of autumn.
I love the height – it allows the heat to radiate down and also feels safer somehow.
Definitely worth it – one of the best things we have added to the garden this year.
Good quality, well made and great value. Highly recommended.

So what do you get in the very securely packaged box. Well the unit is not assembled, however, it takes about 20 minutes to assemble – 10 bolts, for which a spanner is supplied.Assembly is fairly straightforward and there is a video available from the manufacture for guidance – getting the supply tube from the head to the base provided the biggest challenge – it is a bit fiddly, but easy enough with a bit of patience. It is quite quite sturdy, however, it does appear to scuff easily and like many items of this type, the door for the compartment holding the gas cylinder is held in place by magnets. When the unit is moved and the body flexes, the door can open. Whilst on the topic of movement, the wheels do permits easy movement but only over flat, well paved surfaces.

So why 4 stars? I do think that it is a well made item and after testing, I can confirm it delivers heat promptly and over a reasonable area.. Provided that it is covered when stored outdoors in the summer it should be fine, it will last even longer if stored in a clean and dry environment, particularly during the winter period. At 177.00 (299.00 when first tested) though, it is moderately priced and compares well in terms of build quality and price with alternative heaters on the market. I do think that build quality is ok, but could be improved, particularly in regards to the paint scuffing and to provide a better door closing mechanism.

Boasting set up time of 15 minutes, I find this a little bit optimistic. I’m quite handy with stuff like this but it still took me 30 minutes but still, it all went together as expected and the included instructions were easy enought to follow. Only issue I have is the poor design of the door. It is held in place by means of magnets. I find that mine seems to be very slightly misshaped so the magnets don’t have the pull on one side that they should. It always takes a bit of fiddling to get it to stay put.
It is a tall heater, but does look great on the patio. It is also easy to move about for such a large item, thanks to the two caster wheels on the base.
it is easy to light up and regulate and heat distribution is remarkable. You don’t have to sit on top of the thing to get the benefit of the warmth it radiates.
As it is so tall, it simply won’t fit into my shed during the winter months so I plan to get a heater cover from Amazon and then it can be stowed away in the corner of the patio. I will tie it to the house during storage too as I don’t want to see it blown over in heavy winds.
A great patio heater and good value for money I would say!

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersThe heater comes in a large heavy box. There are plastic bags, cardboard and cable ties to remove before tipping the box to slide out the 2 main sections. I recommend doing this on a lawn rather than on a hard surface, as the black coating scratches off quite easily.

If you’re not attaching the optional brackets to allow the heater to be secured to the ground, assembly is fairly easy:

    – 2 nuts/bolts to attach the wheels
    – 4 screws to attach the silver top plate
    – slide the 3 extension poles into place (to the top section, not the bottom), feeding the hose down the appropriate pole
    – bring the top and bottom sections together, while guiding the hose into the gas canister compartment. This final stage is best done with 2 people as you need 3 or 4 hands to do it. I managed alone, at one point using my head to take the weight of the top section – not recommended!

Next you just place your gas canister in, connect the pipe and drop the door in place (attaches with magnets).

Assembly took me about 25 minutes, but would’ve been a lot quicker if I had someone else to help.

Firing the heater up requires you to turn the knob to the min position and hold it in for 10 seconds or so, then push the ignition button, and once fired up, continue to press in the knob that controls the heat level for a further 20 seconds or so. You can then release it and adjust the heat level to your preference.

This unit gives off a good amount of heat, and claims to heat an area of 30 square metres, which is about 5.5m x 5.5m. Obviously the closer you are to the heater, the more you’ll feel the benefit.

The heater is quite large and imposing, but impressive and nice looking at the same time. The main differences between this and the more conventional style of heater, is that this is mounted on 3 legs rather than a single central column, and it doesn’t have the large ‘canopy’ top to reflect more of the heat down. On the plus side, I think these are nicer looking heaters, but obviously more of the heat does escape upwards, which is a shame. It is easier to put a cover on this heater though, and it’s more discrete during winter with a cover over it than the older style of heater.

The black coating on the heater prevents corrosion, though I shall be using a cover in winter. This matt black coating also adds to the aesthetics in my opinion.

The heated section appears to be larger than that on your average heater, and the heat output is higher than is typical for these heaters, so I expect it to do a good job when the cooler evenings arrive.

I’ve had no technical issues thus far, the heater fires up first time every time, and claims to be more efficient than most heaters.

All-in-all, I’m very happy with the heater. The door that hides the gas canister would benefit from a redesign, as it has to be removed to turn the gas regulator on and off, and lining the door up/positioning it is a bit of a faff relative to a hinged door, but otherwise all is good.

The price seems about right at the time of review too.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThis black stylish patio heater may be expensive compared to some but i love the face that the gas bottle is stored away with no unsightly pipe.

It has loads of other features cheaper ones do not such as an automatic shut-off if it tilts or falls – and it has wheels so can be moved easily around a patio , garden or decked area.

It gives a nice heat as well and it is easy to alter the time and power of the lamp part. It uses butane, propane or LPG gas.

IT is really easy to assembly ( it comes in 2 parts ) and you can take it apart again for more convenient storage. The instruction Book is really easy to follow and understand as well.

    We love it!

This heater comes in a 20kg box and is pretty easy to assemble in 10-15 minutes. There’s not really much to it, and it comes with everything you need, bar a gas cylinder. It takes multiple types, which is a real bonus.

This is a tall heater – you’ll need space above it for safety reasons too, so it’s unlikely to fit under any outdoor structure. It’s easy to move around thanks to the wheels though.

Heat output is excellent, and can be varied to suit your requirements. Sitting down may require a bit more than standing up, for example. It’s pretty quiet too, so apart from keeping warm you don’t really notice it.

The base that houses the gas cylinder has a simple magnetic catch on the cover, but it keeps closed even when moving so is perfectly fine, unless you’ve small children that like to explore.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersFree standing patio gas heater.
Before you do anything watch the video on on the Amazon page.
There are only really 7 parts to put together.
    The base.
The top part with the burner.
The 3 vertical posts that connect the top to the bottom.
    The lid for the base.
    The regulator.
When you’ve got it all out the box remove the 2 pins from under the base to release to door section.
Bolt on the wheels (2 nuts & bolts)
    Then assemble the unit.
4 screws attach the silver top of the base unit.
Then we actually found it easiest to put the 3 posts on the base and finally push the gas hose down and through the back tube before finally pushing the top burner unit onto the top of the 3 tubes.
It did take 2 of us and we are both fairly tall.
Finally connect the supplied regulator to the hose using the jubilee clip. Make sure the hose is pushed fully onto the regulator ( a drop of washing up liquid on the regulator stub helps massively )
Finally tighten up the jubilee clip.
Then you can connect up your gas bottle & check that it’s all gas tight – booklet tells you how to do that with a water & washing up liquid mix (basically looking for bubbles on the regulator joint).
Lighting is straightforward, turn the big silver know on the base of the burner to on – you should hear gas coming through and push the red igniter button a few times, after about 5 – 10 seconds you can turn the burner up.
Fitting the door to the base is also straightforward, just drop the bottom pins through the holes and the top clips back on magnets – I had to slightly bend the panel to fit fully – suspect it simply got a bit out of shape in shipping but easy to sort that out.
Heat output is great, these burners work best if there’s not much wind (if it’s windy you simply get the flame blowing about & not really heating up the round heat shroud.)
You can see the effect in the video.
And yes this does put out some decent heat.
Happy with this – will make a lot of difference to cooler nights on the patio.
Hopefully this review helps your decision.
    Thanks for reading.

It is a very good quality warmer, comes with a huge box the next day

It provides plenty of heat, and easy to move around, very easy to use.

The fire gives a very elegant and cheerful looking,
And it is very sturdy. We use it at night when family visiting, because of the pandemic, we prefer everyone sit outside, so it really helps , we use it every weekend and all family members love i

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI just used this for the first time and the coverage on this is absolutely brilliant. This outputs an amazing amount of heat for what it is. I’ve got two garden tables with benches on each side (similar to the ones you get in the pubs). I have positioned those either side of this and the people sitting on the opposite end of these benches could fully feel the heat and keep warm. You have small metal strips outside the bottom of the unit so you can secure it to the ground if you needed to. My ground is really flat so I didn’t need to use those and even when the wind blew you could tell that this wasn’t going to fall or anything, plus it has a safety cut out as soon as it tilts – which I discovered when I tried to move it slightly whilst it was on. It’s got small wheels which you use to just tilt the unit onto when you do want to move it, making it really easy to move around.

Setting it up was really simple and so quick that I must have had it up in about 20 minutes. The surface where the gas tank goes at the bottom is very handy for putting your drinks, etc on, which makes excellent use of that space. This heater just made it so comfortable and cosy for everyone that we were sitting around it well into the dark just chatting away as if we were indoors. I can see me getting a lot of use out of this with the unpredictable summers we get in this country, and it’s adjustable so you can turn it down when it is a bit warmer and vice versa.
