I recently upgraded my grilling game with the ThermoPro TP25 Bluetooth Meat Thermometer, and it has transformed the way I cook meat, whether on the grill or in the oven. This thermometer has become an indispensable tool in my kitchen arsenal.

First and foremost, the Bluetooth connectivity is a game-changer. I love being able to monitor the cooking temperature of my meats from my smartphone. The ThermoPro app is user-friendly and provides real-time temperature updates, making it incredibly convenient to multitask or relax while waiting for my meat to reach the perfect doneness. No more hovering over the grill or opening the oven door repeatedly!

The accuracy of the TP25 is impressive. It provides precise temperature readings within seconds, ensuring that I achieve the desired level of doneness every time. The dual-probe design is a big plus; I can monitor both the meat’s internal temperature and the grill or oven temperature simultaneously. This feature is particularly helpful for smoking or slow-cooking larger cuts of meat.

The build quality is solid, with high-quality materials that feel durable and long-lasting. The probes are heat-resistant and easy to clean. The magnetic back and foldable stand make it convenient to place anywhere in my kitchen.

One feature I appreciate is the pre-set USDA-approved temperature settings for various types of meat. It takes the guesswork out of cooking and guarantees safe and delicious results. Plus, you can customize temperature alerts to your liking.

The range of the Bluetooth signal is impressive. I can move freely around my house while still monitoring the cooking progress. And if I step out of range, the app notifies me. This feature is particularly handy when I’m entertaining guests.

In summary, the ThermoPro TP25 Bluetooth Meat Thermometer combines precision and convenience in one fantastic package. It has made my cooking experience more enjoyable and stress-free. Whether you’re a grilling enthusiast or a home cook, this thermometer is a must-have kitchen gadget. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to elevate their cooking game.

    Pros:

    Bluetooth connectivity for remote monitoring
    Accurate and fast temperature readings
    Dual-probe design
    Durable build quality
    Pre-set temperature settings
    Customizable alerts
    Impressive Bluetooth range
    Cons:

None that I’ve encountered so far!
Investing in the ThermoPro TP25 Bluetooth Meat Thermometer is a decision you won’t regret. It’s a reliable and versatile tool that takes the guesswork out of cooking and ensures your meals are cooked to perfection.

    + 4 Sonden
    + Display bersichtlich
    + Bluetooth 5.0
    + App bersichtlich
    + Eingebauter Akku, keine Batterien

    – Alarmtne
    – Anlegen neuer Grillgutvarianten
    – Vernderung nach eigenem Ermessen der vorgegebenen Temperaturen fr bereits im Men vorhandener Grillgter, was auch oft erforderlich ist, erklrt warum, in Punkt 4 bei Meat n Great.
    – Auerdem:
    – Wertige Sonden mit Griffstck
    – gut ablesbar

Great product: very easy to use with the accompanying app. Clear display of up to four temperatures. I use one probe for the bbq internal temperature and the others for food temperatures. My one observation is that the cooking time estimates are a bit haphazard. Sometimes they appears, sometimes they don’t and sometimes they are way out. The temperatures seem spot on though. Recommended.

At first I thought we had a second hand item & were set to return it, the face of the unit was badly scratched & we couldn’t see a protector in place.
However in proper daylight we could see a protector, it was difficult to get off but revealed a pristine face.

I scanned the QR code on the back of the unit which took me straight to the download for the app which loaded without fault. It connected to my Xiaomi Poco X3 instantly.

Nice clear easy to read display & very easy to set timers, temp & cut of meat.

This works great. It’s super easy to use and it is very helpful.
On the phone, it kept disconnecting after a while. This is an “issue” with android, not the thermometer. What you have to do is change the thermometer app to “keep open” on your phone and that’s that, no more disconnections. Had it on for 7 hours where the app would mostly be in the background and not once did it disconnect.
Just one tiny thing I would like to see improved is the product should come with a storage case.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought after much research. Persuasive points were: range, 4 probes, ambient measurement, app, and good comments regarding probe quality.
Setup was utterly straightforward. Too seconds. Unwind the probes, plug in (they’re colour-coded) and download the app. I can’t even remember connecting – it was so easy.
It’s really useful being able to measure multiple pieces of meat or, with a chicken, having one in the breast and another in a leg, with a third checking the ambient temperature. I’ve used this on the BBQ and also in the oven. Excellent at both.
The probes react quickly – not instantaneous (like the Thermapen folding probe) but within a second or two. Perfect for a low-and-slow session and also for searing.
    For the price it’s excellent.
I have previously bought, used and returned Bluetooth probes (they had a range of 10 feet and couldn’t penetrate foil or the BBQ lid!). This just works. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is an excellent gadget that takes the guess work out of BBQ-ing and will turn you into a Black Belt BBQ Master. Essentially it’s a Mobile Monitoring Station that checks the temperature of your BBQ and different meats on the grill.

    What’s in the box:
    The Monitor
4 x colour coded temperature probes
2 x probe holders (to monitor the BBQ temperature)
USB A to 2 x micro USB connector
    Instruction booklets

    Installation & Set Up:
Wow this was super easy and the fastest I’ve ever set up a device over Bluetooth. Step 1 — switch on the monitor and plug in the probes you want to use, Step 2 download the “ThermoPro BBQ” app from your mobile app store, Step 3 press the pair button on the app — and you’re done! It paired within a microsecond. The app works well and displays the 4 probes. For each probe you can select from 9 pre-set types of meat (beef, fish, ground beef, ground poultry, lamb, pork, poultry, turkey and veal) or Ambient temperature. The pre-set meats have the desired temperature to be reached along with options for done-ness (Rare to Well done) for Beef, Lamb and veal. You can also add in extra pre-sets in case you want to BBQ any exotic meats. I don’t know where you’ll find the recommended temperatures for venison or rabbit or ostrich or kangaroo but I’m sure you’ll find it somewhere online. And you will be able to impress your friends by the multitude of unusual meats that you can cook!
Using the app you can set timers and alerts, for when the grill or your meat reaches the desired temperature. Your phone will also start buzzing if the Bluetooth goes out of range or the Monitor is switched off.

    Performance:
Build quality is really good and the design is pretty good. The monitor is pretty solid and has a LCD display with a backlight if it’s getting dark. It has a metal bracket at the back which can be used as a stand or rotated around as a hook to hang it up. The monitor has built in rechargeable batteries and it came fully charged. It can be charged via the supplied charger cable (USB A to 2 x micro USB). Although no plug was included but a standard 5V plug will work (like most mobile chargers). The extra micro USB connector was a bit of a mystery as it’s not mentioned in the instruction booklet but on reflection it can come in quite handy to power a torch or a fan for instance.
The probes are nice and thick and the braided cable looks well insulated and should resist any kinks or twists. The colour coding (gold, silver, blue & black) is a nice touch and gives a visual reinforcement of which probe is which (although I would have preferred brighter colours).

Monitoring temperature is essential for all BBQs but even more important for Kamado BBQs where you can do “low and slow” cooking. The only slight issue is the probes are straight so, with the lid on, you need to be careful not to dislodge the probes. I would have preferred hooked probes instead.

    Pros:
Easy and super-quick to set up
    Great app
    Excellent build quality
    Works well
Easy to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit

    Cons:
    No charger plug
    No case
Hooked probes would be better for Kamados
Instructions are basic but ok, and contain at least one error (e.g. it says the DC voltage for charging should be 6V but the unit itself says 5V).

All in all — I am very impressed with this unit. It’s an excellent piece of kit and a steal at the price. Everyone with a BBQ should get one!

Essential bit of kit which will transform you into a BBQ Master!

I use this to create the perfect roasts, stick the probe into the meat, run the cable out of the oven and stick the control unit to the oven door. Monitoring it over Bluetooth for alerts (*the app works perfectly) or just watch the screen as you go.

I’ve used this on a barbecue too, but to be honest it’s easier to use in an oven.

Yes this isn’t cheap, but being able to monitor up to 4 cuts or the same cut in various different places is perfect.

I don’t know how I ever lived without it!

This fancy thermometer is perfect for people who love barbecues. The thermometer looks great and it feels well made and robust. It was easy to set up and I had no issues syncing the Bluetooth. This allows you to control the thermometer remotely. This is great as it allows you to keep an eye on the meat whilst prepping the other food. You receive four probes so you are able to cook multiple pieces of meat. I did check the temperature against my manual meat thermometer and it does seem to be very accurate. I don’t think I would use this thermometer when cooking my Sunday roast as it is too complicated for a situation where my manual meat thermometer does just as well. However, if you entertain a lot I think this will thermometer is a great way to keep an eye on multiple cuts of meat at the same time.

This is a quick list of my pros and cons for this product:

    Pro:

    Four probes
    Excellent build quality
    Great LCD display
    Good BT
    App control / monitoring

    Con:

    None

    ——————-

This is an excellent device for grilling / barbequing, and when paired with the app it allows you to do things which previously would not be possible. You can enter the type of meat and how you want it cooked (i.e. rare, well done etc) and the probe will monitor and keeping track of it for you. The alarms are loud and clear. The time saving is great, and the safety aspect is second to none.

The build quality is very good, and it looks like a professional unit. The display is very clear and easy to read. Having four probes makes it extremely versatile, particularly for cooking several different meats at one. The BT works great, so you can monitor from a ridiculous distance, or even indoors (most of the time). You will get a BT disconnection warning if you lose contact.

These are a ton of other features of this app/unit, including smart temperature ranges and an alarm history.

Overall I have to say I have no problems with this product, which is why the ‘Con’s section is empty. Maybe the price is out of peoples budget right now, at 65. However I have to say, this is worth it if you do a lot of barbequing. No more spoiled meat, or sick guests.

    Overall, a wonderful five stars.

After a long time in my early years of working as a professional chef. I can only say, I wish this product was available for me when I was in the cooking game.
It is really a game changer. There maybe others which do the same as this probe set. But this is the first experience I have of this type of probe and I’m amazed.
some of the features to talk about in this review that really made my jaw drop.

-The fact you can use Bluetooth for this is brilliant. Gone are the days of standing near the fridge or at the grill.
-You can use 4 probes at the same time and its all displayed neatly on the screen in real time.
-Alarm setting for a specific temperature ensures you never overcook or undercook food again.
-It has its own pre-sets for different types of meat and the temps you need to get it perfect every time.
-It can estimate and predict when you will have the temperature you desire. Making cooking a doddle.

The build quality of the probes and the unit itself is actually excellent. And the probes will withstand all temperatures. Having them sat in your oven doing its thing is so excellent.
The price currently is 59.99 which represents real good value. Especially for those in the trade. It would work so well in a professional kitchen. Especially if you are teaching commis etc.
Its amazing. They have thought of everything with this probe and with it. You want for nothing. It really is a top item deserving of all the 5* ratings it is receiving. Quality, build quality and ingenuity. Incredible.

    Pioneering.

This is the perfect gift for someone that has everything and likes to bbq!

It looked a little daunting at first but I quickly established that it was easy to set up and use. The probes are each a different colour so you can identify which item you have attached it to. It’s a case of simply hooking up the wires with the monitor and putting the probe into the item you are cooking.

I haven’t yet used the app. This feature is great to ensure you don’t overcook things! It can notify you when it’s ready! You don’t have to use the app, you can simply use the monitor.

It seems to work well so far and feels good quality.

The price feels a little high but is worth it for the added Bluetooth feature and the ability to monitor 4 things at once.

    Overall, a great product!

    Great gadget!

This is a great kit for those who like their meat cooked beautifully, and who doesn’t want that? There are four probes for use at one time and you can stick them into your meat with the greatest of ease. The temperature readout is digital and there is little error. Or, at least, the error is consistent as when i stuck all four probes into the same piece of meat, they all gave the same temperature. Perfect for BBQ, grill, hob cooking but not for oven. Of course, you can remove meat from the oven and then probe; but this is really for constant monitoring of temperature. It’s bluetooth so you can monitor the temps from your phone up to a distance of 150 metres. WOW! I mean, do you need any more encouragement than that. Picture the scene – you’re cooking steaks on your BBQ, only four of them mind, and, with probes in place, you can walk your extensive grounds in full knowledge that your meat will not overcook. Great!

The main selling point and value of this thermometer is the fact that it’s Bluetooth. No longer do you have to stand like a warden over your stove or BBQ. It Saves you from pausing whatever you are doing to nip to the kitchen (or go to the BBQ) to check cooking progress. The thermometer tells you wherever you are when the desired temperature has been reached.

The other great feature is that it has 4 different colour-coded independent probes — so you can keep an eye on more than one thing at the same time which is brilliant. You can use 1 probe only, or any number of probes (up to 4) at the same time depending on your needs. Having 1 thermometer with 4 probes means you don’t actually have to buy 4 different thermometers and you can check all readings at the same time from the comfort of your sofa.

Looks techy at first, but the manual is clearly written, and the instructions are easy to follow. Set up is very easy — download the ThermoPro BBQ APP, install it, and then pair your device with the thermometer. Syncing will then happen automatically, and you will be able to read your thermometer from anywhere (has a stated range of 150m but I only tested up to 10 meters away and it worked fine).

The readings are accurate – i tested this by comparing the readings of this thermometer with another independent thermometer that I had been using for over two years and know it’s reliable. The build quality here is very good, the probes are an excellent length (long enough to insert in the most deepest of areas) and the general set up performs smoothly and as expected. Makes cooking so much easier and I would highly recommend it.

This meat thermometer is perfect. I already have one that is very basic, and doesn’t operate remotely, but this one connects to your phone via an easy-to-use app so that you don’t have to remain by the oven or in the same area as your cooking meat as you can monitor the temperature of the meat while watching TV in a different room. Even better, you can specify what joint you are cooking (nine types of meat) on the app, how well-done you want it to be, and the app will alarm when it has reached the temperature needed to cook the meat exactly as you want it to be (my attached photos show how the monitor tracked a topside joint of beef up to the internal temperature for medium rare, with perfect results).

There are four different colour-coded probes so that you can cook four different types of meat at the same time which would be excellent for a buffet or barbecue. There are also very useful optional settings such as a Bluetooth disconnection notice, triggered alarm history for all four probes, and temperature pre-alarm and alert sound settings. You can also set an ambient temperature ranve to keep your grill within a certain range — very useful for slow barbecuing or smoking meat.

The thermometer arrived very well packaged with comprehensive instruction booklets in several different languages, and the Thermopro app is easily downloadable. Inside the box is a warrantee leaflet with a scannable QR code which takes you to the product registration page. If you do this, you qualify for a three year warrantee, which I think is pretty good for a piece of kitchen equipment like this. There is also a 10% off voucher for your next Thermopro product on Amazon.

We have used this a few times with beef, lamb and chicken and wouldn’t be without it now as it takes all the guesswork out of achieving the degree of pinkness we like in lamb and beef, and assures safety with meats like chicken which need to be cooked to a minimum temperature for food safety reasons. I will update this review when we cook more than one meat together.

Perfect kitchen gadget for meat lovers!

By brother in law is the BBQ king in our family and come rain or shine he’s got it on- so he was very thrilled when I turned up with this new toy for him to try. I asked him his opinions for the review which are as follows:

” This thermometer was really easy to use and setup, comes with a usb charge cable which only required an hour from the box to charge fully, so hardly any time needed before you can get using it.
The app was easily downloaded from the Google Play store to my Samsung phone at 18mb-it was a fast download. Once downloaded I paired the device via Bluetooth going to settings on the app and switching on the device.
The app was impressive as it allowed you to set parameters, such as a stopwatch and graphs to see the temperature increasing during the cooking period. It also has a meat guide for cooking different types of meats.
The system has 4 probes which have heat resistance cabling so can be left in the food whilst cooking.
Same as most apps the system allows you to set the warning tones or vibration on the phone. I did find I needed to amend my phone as I found it would not alarm if the device was set on silence.
Overall very good product which aids the need to cook food to perfection when you have a fussy food family like I do.”

Overall he was very impressed and stated is was good value for money at currently price of 60. So from that would be happy to recommend.

This is a great meat thermometer for the serious BBQer. It’s incredibly clever with so many features that I suspect most users will never discover. The four probes enable you to cook different types of meat at the same time, or the same meat but to different levels- rare, medium etc. It connects via Bluetooth which is really easy to set up and allows you to do other things while your meat is cooking. We found that the temperature was accurate when checking with our old meat thermometer and that this thermometer made BBQing a doddle. The only thing that I would change about this is to have one or all the probes working wirelessly as then it can be used with a rotisserie in the BBQ but this is something that many wouldn’t use and it is me being picky wanting it. If you have someone who is difficult to buy for then this is sure to impress them. This is very clever and a lot of thought has gone into making it user friendly and intuitive with lots of great features.

ThermoPro TP25 Bluetooth Wireless Meat Thermometer

A lot of people will get by perfectly happily without ever using or owning a food thermometer. But in my personal opinion a good thermometer is one of the most important items in the toolkit of anyone who wants to make the step up to the next level of cooking. And this is a good one. It is really easy to set up and understand how to use. The ability to leave the probe in the meat while it is in the oven means that you have zero excuse for ever over-cooking meat ever again. Just stick it in, set your desired target temperature and then chill out until it’s ready. Or if you’re really tech minded it can even be connected via Bluetooth to your phone so you can track the temperature from the other side of your house. It’s also rechargeable via USB, which is great as we should be moving away from single use batteries where possible. The only thing I would say is that this is probably too much probe for the average home cook. It has four separate probes that can all be used simultaneously, which is great, but probably a little overkill. The price tag seems reasonable for what you get, but unless you’re a real kitchen whiz, you might not need something this advanced. But, in terms of quality, absolutely recommended.

I got this as I do the occasional smoked brisket or pork shoulder in my smoker over the summer and thought this would be a good choice in getting the actual meat temperature (rather than the relying on my BBQ temperature gauge which is very rudimentary).

Setting up the device is very straightforward and the instruction booklet walks you through it all – it was really so simple and clear. You will need to download ThermoPro BBQ app if you want it to talk to your phone and get the most from the thermometer. The app itself is great, intuitive and clearly displays the temperature being broadcast from the unit via Bluetooth and you can set timers and alarms from it as well. If your phone loses signal with the thermometer your phone will beep away warning you.

If you are unsure about taking the plunge on this thermometer you can always download the app and have look at the interface first. You can of course just have the thermometer working without the app, but you will have to keep an eye on the unit yourself.

The probes are all colour coded which is great for connecting and the fact you get 4 probes means you can monitor different items. The length of the individual probe cable is approx 105 cm (just over 41 inches)

I’ve included a video to show the thermometer in action with the four probes attached and me heating the gold coloured probe with my hand. This data was all broadcast to my phone but as I was filming with it, I can’t show you.

Unfortunately the British weather has stopped my cooking plans for now but having tested this Thermometer I’m excited to use it and have confidence I can leave it with the BBQ and monitor temperatures from inside.

I have many meat thermometer before but never had anything this high tech before. It is not just gimmick but actually very useful and easy to use.

There are 4 colour coded needle probes which goes into the main unit. You don’t have to have all 4 plugged in, it will work with just 1 if that is all you need. Download the app and install. Press power button and make sure your phone Bluetooth is on and that’s is it.

The app is self explanatory, choose the meat type, and how cooked you like it to be and it will set alarm to tell you when the temperature inside the meat is reached to the required temperature.

I love BBQ party and I hate being left out because I am Manning the grill. With this monitor I can set up all different types of meat and leave it to cook whole I enjoy some quality time with friends and families.

I did not managed to test the wireless range as my 40ft garden isn’t big enough for it to drop signal. When I switch off the monitor without telling the phone app it beeps at me to alert connection loss. This is assuring to know I won’t burn all the meat if there is a loss of connection etc.

    Not gimmicky but actually useful

The very idea of a wireless thermometer is so brilliant and yet so simple you wonder why nobody came up with it years ago.

This is a dream for those of us who love cooking but do not love constantly having to go back to the kitchen or stand at the BBQ grill and keep checking everything all the time, with four probes and one very easy to read display you can enjoy a bit more you time while cooking for everybody else, reading my book without having to get up every five minutes and instead just glancing at the display is a little bit of heaven on a long cooking day.

Wow this meat thermometer is absolutely brilliant. Instant results and very user friendly! Really simple to set up straight out the box. I personally did not need to use the instructions, but included in the package is simple instructions to follow. The item is very accurate, I compared with my 150 kit and it is near exact results, so I’m saying it worths perfectly! Very easy to clean after use too. Each prong is colour coded so you can’t go wrong when setting up. I would love to see this unit in other colours to match kitchen environments and colours. Overall is it very much value for money! This item is very cheap for what you get.

I’m definitely a very average cook, so this was a bit of a mystery to me – I’ve been doing roasts and barbecues etc for so many years I just use judgement and experience to know when meat is cooked. But, if you’re a whizz in the kitchen like my daughter (and also a whizz at technology as this works with an app) then it’s worth the investment. I mean, it’s not cheap! At 60, you need to be serious about your mastery of meat.
For all that though, this is a very clever piece of kit and exceptionally well made. Neat, smart (in looks and techy stuff) once you set up the pairing on Bluetooth, you’ve got a huge range of settings, options and ways to monitor your cooking.
Four probes is great for (serious) barbecuing, not yer bog standard bangers and burgers. And they all neatly store away.
I know I should give this 5 stars but I’m a bit mean and personally, could never justify the price tag – but if you’re a full on Masterchef then go for it.

We haven’t used all the features yet, but we’re impressed.

It was easy to download the app and then pair the device. It took only a second to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit, so that my wife (who prefers Fahrenheit) could do a test run with a roast in the oven (before trying it out on a barbeque), and it gave accurate status reports.

It’s provided with four probes so that you can test different types of meat on the barbeque (or, for roasts, you can test different parts of a joint).

The Bluetooth range is supposed to be 500 feet, which is far bigger than our garden, and more than enough for most. This range would be very handy if you are out in the country and want/need to be some distance away from the barbeque.

It has a wealth of features to take out the guesswork – preset times for different types of meat and “doneness” of each type (rare, medium etc), colour coding to tell you which probe is where, and a display of estimated time left to reach desired temperature.

There is good attention to detail, such as the probe “winders” for easy storage.

The only real argument against it is that it removes the opportunity for the “creative caveman” approach to barbeque. However, if you prefer your food neither raw nor crucified, this will make the job a lot easier. It will also, if you have aspirations, be a bit of talking point in itself.

This wireless thermometer allows you to do other things and keep an eye on the progress of your cooking. The thermometer comes with 4 different colour coated stainless steel probes, instead of trying to remember which probe is in what food, simply glance at your tablet or phone, and you can instantly see the temperature of your different foods. The downloadable app is packed full of unique, useful functions to enhance your cooking experience. The personalised settings such as: Bluetooth disconnection notice, temp pre-alarm and alert sound setting make your leave-in thermometer works as a professional kitchen assistant. Set your desired food temp & HI/LOW temp range for your grill or smoker to know when to add more fuel so it’s perfect for BBQs!

You can also increase you warranty to 4 years by registering the product but not sure how I’d contact the company should anything go wrong?

Just remember not to remove the probes with your bare hands! It’s a mistake I won’t be making again! To be fair, I should have read the instructions because it does warn you of this.

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI work in industrial food safety and use similar devices as part of my job.
This is probably the best example I have seen of a food temperature monitoring device for home use and includes some excellent features which will improve food safety in the home, not just around the BBQ.

The instructions that come with it cover how to set up and connect the device to your phone but don’t cover how to use it and which pitfalls to avoid, so I shall discuss the main ones here as well as reviewing the product itself and alternative uses.

Firstly a comment about the build quality:
The probes are very strong, with a tip which is pointed but not so sharp that you have to be careful when handling them. They’re made from stainless steel and have a textured grip which makes it easy to push the probes into meat (or even the middle of bones when cooking ribs) and also makes it easy to pull them out even if you have greasy fingers.
This is a thoughtful piece of design.
A word of caution: don’t try to pull the probes out of meat by pulling on the cables as you’re likely to eventually pull the cable out and leave the probes behind as I can’t see any evidence that the cables are clamped (this is often the case with industrial probes too, so isn’t indicative of poorer quality).
The cables themselves are covered with braided steel, so are tough enough for any domestic application but that doesn’t mean that it’s ok to let them hang down into the BBQ charcoal which can theoretically reach 1000C. This won’t melt the steel braiding but may melt the insulation between the wires underneath the braiding which run to the probe (depending on the material they used) and would likely cause the probe to fail.
Probes are colour coded on their handles and are connected easily to the base station using the attached jack pluds, which are also colour coded.

The base station which the probes attach too is also well built, with some thoughtful design features.
The sockets for the probes are colour coded to match the probes themselves and the display is large, clear and has a backlight if needed.
On the back is a sprung metal foot to support it in the upright position which can be rotated upside down to act as a hook or be used almost as a large paper clip to fasten onto something such as the edge of a table to prevent it slipping onto the floor.
I have included a photograph of it being used in this way to attach the device to my oven door handle while using it to record the cooking of a whole chicken.

On the subject of cooking it is worth mentioning that the correct placement of probes is vital to making this device work accurately.
You should aim to place the probe in the part of the meat which will cook the slowest and make sure that the tip of the probe is in the middle of that part, as only the tip measures temperature. If you’re cooking several pieces of meat together and can’t probe them all try to make sure that you put probes into the thickest pieces as they are likely to cook the slowest.
This is an aid to cooking and shouldn’t be used to replace good practices around the heating of food.
For example: if you’re cooking pieces of chicken and the probe says that it’s cooked don’t assume that this applies to all pieces of chicken on the BBQ.
Temperatures can vary across the grill and the position, space between pieces and the number of times you turn the meat will have an affect on overall heating.
    Do your usual checks.

The app is quite simple to use and has sensible (and safe) target temperatures already set for common foods but you can also create your own profiles which can be either target temperatures or temperature ranges where you set an upper and lower limit and the device sounds an alarm if you fall outside of these temperatures.
Handy features include the charts which the device creates as it records temperature and the fact that it forecasts the time until your target temperature is reached.
These features help with some of the alternative uses I mention at the end of this review.

The device is practical, effective and versatile.
I have used it to cook a whole chicken in the oven, with probes placed into the meat and the cables connected to the device which was attached to the oven door. The rubber seal around my oven door is flexible enough to maintain the seal (check your own oven before trying this) and we do the same thing at work with a range of domestic ovens.
Don’t put the electronic part of this device into the oven or on hot surfaces though as it will melt!
The chicken was well cooked when the alarm sounded and had a nice colour but don’t assume that because the alarm has sounded that the food will look as you want it to.
Some foods will reach temperature before they’ve developed the full colour or flavour you’re looking for, so the alarm is to let you know that the food should now be safe provided that you placed the probes correctly (still do your checks), not necessarily that it’s going to look perfect at that point.
A good example would be chicken bones, which can still look red in the middle even when the meat is fully cooked (if you happen to have a broken bone in your drumstick you may have seen this in the past) and may stay red up to about 85C.
The default temperature for cooking chicken in the app is 74C, which is perfectly safe but you can change this if you wish.

In summary: if used correctly this is a great aid to food safety at home which will also help you to avoid over cooking your food on the BBQ by giving you a prompt when it reaches temperature.

    Alternative Applications.
You can also use this device to record temperatures for a range of other applications.

    Checking your oven.
If you suspect that your oven isn’t working properly (as I did) you can use this to check that it’s reaching the temperature you’ve set. My current oven has this problem (I had a new one delivered today!) and this device proved that although I was setting the temperature to 170C it was actually running at 200C.
If I was keeping my oven this would let me know that I need a new thermostat and the slightly over cooked food wasn’t my fault!

    Checking your Fridge.
You can also use this to check the temperature of your fridge.
The bluetooth signal is strong enough to transmit through the fridge (mine at least), but the door seal of a fridge can’t tolerate having the wires passing through like an oven can, so I put the whole device into the fridge.
    It’s waterproof, so safe.
My own fridge doesn’t have a temperature scale to set it to, just numbers from 1 to 10, which aren’t degrees C.
The Thermopro showed that it was running at 2C, so I have adjusted it back to 4C to save on running costs and avoid foods occasionally freezing at the back.

Checking room temperatures including the greenhouse
Because the Bluetooth has a long range and the device has a good battery life you can use this to record temperatures around the house if you think one room isn’t heating properly or suspect that your thermostat isn’t working.
You could even check the daytime temperature in your greenhouse provided it isn’t too far from the house.
Just start it, leave it running for a few hours (and the app on your phone too), stay in range throughout and then check your results.

This is an excellent piece of equipment which I would recommend.

Improves Food Safety and can be used for more than just the BBQ.

For several years i have used basic manual thermometers when roasting joints so i thought i would give this a try.

When opening the box and seeing the contents, i was a little overwhelmed at what i was seeing…looked like a box of wires and technology and i had a slight doubt that i would manage to set it up…i also thought i would have to use all 4 probes! This was thankfully a short lived doubt as I worried if the technology side would be difficult…indeed far from it.

Anyway, having read the instructions and being told to download the thermopro app, it started to look easier to understand. The probes are colour coded and you plug each one into corresponding holes on The side of the unit. You can set up each probe individually and for me, i realised you can use just one probe if required which i did…i tested for the first time on our Sunday joint. I was able to set either a timer or set required temperature for the joint and it sent alarms to my phone (the unit bleeps too). I checked occasionally to take a photograph for review as the temperature rose on the screen.

I do not have a barbecue to test it on but i can tell that this would be amazing with so many different food items being cooked at the same time and being able to monitor 4! This will reduce the worry of food poisoning and also leave you free to mingle with guests or use your time more usefully.

I will certainly be using it from now on…when you have used it once, it will be so easy to understand. All I can say is…DO NOT do what i did after being used to years of a manual thermometers and attempt to remove the probe with bare hands! It is a really painful lesson! It states reminders to not do this but it was a spontaneous thing to do that i hopefully wont do again.

This thermometer set is excellent quality materials and a great little app which is simple to use. Couldn’t ask for more and will sure be an asset for barbecuing as well as home cooking! Recommended.

Super Impressed with this! Super easy to set up and use.

Great device for big BBQ cooking. A friend of mine is so impressed with this gadget he’s going to buy one, he’s a massive fan of BBQ, has a big smoker box and cooks BBQ meats all year round. Wireless, bluetooth connection, he says he can finally just put his feet up and check from his phone. For me my BBQ experiences aren’t quite as grand but this gadget has given me the confidence to try large cuts of meat and to cut them exactly how I want. I am a notorious over cooker and all my BBQ meats end up dry! This device does look a bit messy/complicated while sitting next to BBQ with its wires etc stuck in the meat but the difference it makes is massive. I now have succulent well cooked, rare, medium meats which everyone loves and I can check it all from my phone. Overall really good.

We love the idea of being able to monitor the cooking or BBQ without having to be stood in front of the grill etc. This Bluetooth connected cooking thermometer allows us to set alarms and check in on the cooking from a distance.

Great idea right – But does it work?

We haven’t tested this on the BBQ yet as since this was delivered its been raining but we tested out a good deal of the functionality. Here are our tests and thoughts:

    * Bluetooth Pairing – Really easy! Installed app and followed simple instructions.

    Settings
    * Changed the language: works fine;
    * Changed the temperature units degrees C & F: works fine
    * Alarms: tested time based alarm: works fine and you can set different alarms for different probes.
    * Device disconnection alarms: turned the unit off and alarm works well
    * Different alarms for each probe: you can set up to 119 alarms (from phone your number might vary) setting a different one for each probe, works fine.
    * Back light: tested fine.

    Other features:-

    * temperature pre-alarm: if you want to ensure you don’t over cook your meats you can set a pre-alarm. this will notify as the temperature is approaching your desired level. you can set 5, 10 and 15 degrees below your desired temp. This is a cool feature.

    * Each probe has a temperature chart showing temp of what you are cooking over time.

    * there are a lot of preset temperatures for beef, veal, pork and lamb. each has a rare, medium rare, medium, medium well and well done temp setting. Other meats and fish just have minimum temp. We compared these temperatures to health and safety recommendations and these we are match for most meat types.

We tested each of the 4 probes in hot, warm, cold and ambient air temps. See picture this worked as expected. We liked the colour coding on the probe and its matching probe details in the app. this makes it easy to match the temperatures, alarms and settings to different meats and cuts.

Until we BBQ again properly we wont be able to test the estimated cook time left function but this sounds like great idea and we’re excited to try it.

We also liked that this doesn’t take disposable batteries – you just have to charge using the USB cable provided so have an internal rechargeable battery.

Overall recommendation – this is absolutely brilliant! we love it. checking the weather ready to BBQ!

IF you BBQ then get this!

This is a serious bit of kit for the bbq season, there are four probes so in theory you can either cook different parts of the animal or cook four different types of meat.
All the different temperatures are shown on the large and easy to read LCD screen, the individual probes are colour coded which is a nice touch.
There are many features in this thermometer which are shown in the accompanying app, the app has features such as suggesting what temperature is ideal for what meat – this is according to USDA. You can ask also set a temperature that you would like to reach and once this temperature is attained an alarm will sound, another neat feature is the thermometer which calculates and estimates the remaining time so you can prepare the sides.
This thermometer really helps you pinpoint the temperature you’re after and takes away the guesswork.

Impress your friends with this remote 4 meat bbq thermometer. This is truly the future. You can put probes into 4 different meats and go get your glass of wine while it minds the food on the bbq.

It’s bluetooth with a 495 feet range. The probes are colour coded so you won’t get mixed up with different meats. You get a pre alarm so you know it’s almost ready. It can tell you how long is left on each probe until the meat is perfectly cooked. You can also set an alarm if the bbq temperature is too high or low. It even tells you which probes have alarmed already.

All this information can be sent by Bluetooth to your phone so you can sit with your guests enjoying the evening. It will even tell you if you have gone out of range or lost connection of the thermometer.
This is the gadget of the year there’s nothing to dislike. You’ll never have to guess if the chicken is cooked in the middle and risk poisoning the guests again.

The packaging is really good quality so you could easily give this as a gift. I’d be very happy to get this as a gift. It’s really well made and worth every penny. Impress your guests with this and get them wowing at the future of bbq’s, I don’t think you’ll regret buying this.

I am someone who overcooks everything for fear of it being under done because I’ve experienced food poisening and it was no fun however the consequences are dry meat and chopped in half pork chops ect because I can’t tell when they’re done.

This 4 probe Bluetooth remote meat thermometer has left me surprised in the best of ways.

I decided to try it and just one of its 4 probes out in my freestanding kitchen cooker, at first I was concerned the oven door may not close properly however the wires are thin and flat shaped and left no gap I could see.
I also wasn’t sure where in the chicken to put the probe at first so I googled and put it in the thickest part of the breast.
Whilst using the app which I found easy to set up and use I witnessed my chicken getting hotter and cooking faster than me, who often overcooks everything could fatham so I panicked and took the probe back out and inserted it into the other breast. However I needn’t of bothered, I had done it right from the start and the app wound up saying more or less the exact same estimated time left.

Like the video shows the alarm went off on the device when the chicken had reached the temperature the app already had preselected, the alarm also went off my phone, it sounds simular to a fire alarm. The app also alerts you with an alarm whenever it becomes disconnected from your phone, including when you turn the device off. This feature will be ideal for when I get my bbq out with these.

So I took the chicken out the oven, took out the probe with my oven glove and was surprised when every bit of my chicken was thoroughly cooked but the surprise didn’t end there, the biggest surprise came when I tasted how juicy the chicken was. It was cooked to perfection all thanks to this device.

I’m looking forward to hosting some bbqs with this soon too, its a such a great device and gives me peace of mind and juicy meat.
