I bought this to replace my old faithful Logitech Formula Force. I chose this because you can swap the wheel. Not something I’d do often, but I mainly drive F1 so I envisaged having an F1 wheel at some point.
I am impressed with the belt driven mechanics. Much quieter and more accurate in feel to the Logitech I had before. The wheel feels solid and is well built.
There are two major flaws and a minor one (imo)
The first major flaw is the pedals. They’ve got a terrible grip system on them and they absolutely will not stay in position unless something is behind it. Which leads me to my minor gripe…the shape of the top end of the pedal base. It’s slanted. So anything you put between the wall and the pedals in order to try and get them to stay in place…the pedals simply work their way under after a while.
And finally my second major gripe…the clamp for the steering wheel. It really is poorly designed. I don’t know how many times I scrape my knuckles because the clamp shape doesn’t give much clearance when tightening the clamp…and it doesn’t really, properly clamp it. Like the pedals there’s still some movement.
I would have given it 3 stars but for the excellent build quality and feel…so it just scrapes a 4.
First off, I should say I couldn’t decide whether to give this wheel 4 or 5. Ideally I would go for 4.5.
It is a brilliant wheel and feels awesome racing with it. I’d raced with a controller before and cannot say enough how much better using the wheel is to race with. The FFB is strong and general experience is 5 stars.
So why 4? Drops a star due to sporadic ghost button pushes and loss of connection. Seems a fairly common problem for PC gamers such as myself. Every so often you’ll get random button pushes (despite not pressing it myself). Example being glance left/right, change view or pausing. Or pressing glance left but getting no response. That said, it does seem fixable: I had it a month ago, tightened up the screws on the wheel face and the problem went away. Only to come back yesterday. I think it’s caused by the vibrating and shocks coming from the FFB that causes the connection to break loose (yesterday had a very bumpy race in AC and it started again) but once you stop, tighten up the screws, it’s fine again. But, for the money you spend, I’d expect something like this not to happen.
That said, overall it’s a good wheel and enhances your experience massively.
Update: I originally left a review stating that the wheel doesn’t work with PSNow however it is only when streaming the game does it disable the wheel. If you use psnow to download the game the wheel works perfectly.
The wheel also works flawlessly in ps3 mode on the pc. Singing in to Xbox game pass let’s me use the wheel on Forza too which is the main reason for buying the wheel.
In my own humble opinion, this happens to be the best investment I’ve ever made, when it comes to racing wheels. The look and feel of it is very pleasing and in-game handling is as realistic as you could get at this price point. It’s not the most expensive wheel on the market and certainly not the cheapest but you really do get what you pay for with this device. I bought mine back in 2017 and is still performing as good as the day I got it. Feedback is amazing in comparison to all the legacy wheels that came before it. Now you really can feel the bumps and the loosening over puddles, jumps, etc. Combine again with VR and the experience is jaw dropping.
Overall I must say I’ve never regretted the purchase. I’m so proud of my ‘trusty Thrusty’ 🙂
Steering wheel is great but the pedals that come with is the most worst pedals I’ve came across.
You press the pedal and it moves over the place and it’s really got a nasty dead zone.
Fortunately I’ve ordered the t3pa pro because I wanted the clutch as i got the H-shifter.
I don’t really like the way Thrustmaster went and made the power supply built into the base of the wheel and the cable is live 240v AC directly into it. And i am aware that you can buy a external power supply, but that’s just clearly asking for more $ Please don’t be like
Brilliant product, works amazing with project cars on the PS4. For customer service, faultless. I purchase the product and it arrived with 24 hours when amazon had told me it’ll be a week. Brilliant all around!
Bought the Thrustmaster t300 RS. The wheel it’s self is pretty good . But the pedals are rubbish , no feel and mine has developed a noise on the brake pedal . Don’t know why thrustmaster would develop a wheel and put those pedals with it . Get the t300 with the gt pedals or buy the t3pa pro if u can afford to .
I cannot get enough of this racing wheel. If you love racing games and you’re thinking about getting a force feedback wheel, just do it! I’ve spend hundreds of hours with this over the past 6 months and it’s genuinely the best money I’ve ever spent on video gaming.
Knocked a star off because the pedals really don’t live up to the quality of the wheel, you’ll probably find yourself having to mod the break pedal specifically to add some more resistance but the wheel itself is epic.
Wow what a machine this is ive had this now for 4 years and it’s been hammered alot and still it performs like it did the day I got it no problems at all really solid wheel.
The feedback from this is sensational you get a really good feel of how the car feels on the road whether it be the surface your on or the weight of the back of the car in the corners u really do feel everything traction, surface, suspension sometimes gear changes collisions too.
If your looking for a wheel then look no further as this is the one to go for, yes its expensive but u get what u pay for don’t go for the new logitech it’s old tech just same as the old g27 in a new shell which was a solid wheel in its day but for me this one beats it massively.
For the price point, this is a great wheel. If you are looking to be into sim racing, I would personally give this wheel a go.
After a while however, my wheel did break which is supposedly common with Thrustmaster wheels. I sent my wheel off and it was fixed and back with me in approx 2 weeks, which was a good turnaround.
My accelerator pedals squeaks like mad after playing for a while which is very annoying.
If you wear socks while playing (a lot of people do) be aware that you feet (heel) may become sore. It really is painful sometimes. I would recommend socks with heel padding or thin shoes/slippers.
If you can afford to get the T3PA PRO pedals then do it. The stock pedals for the T300 aren’t great.
Debated between this and the logitech. I have not used the logitech so cannot compare unfortunately…. I bought this for Gran turismo and project cars 2 on the PS4 and I have not been very pleased with it. I am an occasional user when I have the time so great for my purposes. Only owned for a couple of months, so cannot comment on long term performance. Read quite a few reviews before I bought and the longevity of the seems to be an issue for many owners, so fingers crossed you get a good one…
Strong and smooth force feedback for price range. Pedals aren’t fantastic, I would recommend getting either t3pa pedals or t3pa pro pedals for clutch and more realistic feeling. Absolute doddle to setup up and get playing. Quick release system for multiple wheels isn’t that fast but the functionality is nice. Clamp is strong but be careful with thicker desks. Comfortable wheel happy purchase, just get better pedals.
A solid wheel with very smooth force feedback and nice feel to it. 1080 steering rotation is a huge bonus if your into bus and truck simulators. Only gripe is the screw to tighten the unit to the base can be a bit of a pain to sit in the hole.
If you’re into racing games it’s an absolute must! I can’t believe I messed around using a control for so many years. Force feedback is brilliant on this wheel. I suggest getting a wheel stand. I went to wheel stand pro for this. There is a negative though… my wheel suffers from rust terribly…
The mind boggles why TM ship such a great wheel with pedals this bad, the pedals have deadzones, the only way to fix it is to open them up and re position the cheap and nasty potentiometers.
When you do see the build quality of these it explains why so many people are complaining of deadzones, it’s hit and miss whether you get a bad set, and from what I’ve read it’s mostly miss, terrible quality and useless for serious simming.
I’m not returning it, I always intended to buy some T3PA Pro’s, the state of the pedals with this wheel hastened that decision.
Not wanting to sound too negative, the wheel is outstanding in performance and build quality, I upgraded from a DFGT and the improvement in feedback is sublime.
Having only ever played racing games such as Gran Turismo 3,4,5 and with a controller i had always been interested in the difference between a wheel and and your standard controller setup. Having read countless reviews and watched many a video about comparisons and detailed breakdowns I took the plunge and I’ve not back.
The setup was very simple and the manual unlike with some products was my friend and actually very easy to understand and follow. I give this 4 stars is the screw to connect the wheel to the base broke as I was screwing it. (The head deformed and no screwdriver would work – I have like 15) but apart from that it’s a so easy to get going.
The clamp is very good. Having It attached to my desk leaves me with total confidence it’s not gonna fly off mid corner.
The force feedback gives you a good understanding of what your tires are doing and the surface your driving on is really well translated through the wheel and into your fingertips allowing you catch slides and maintain in my experience, greater control.
The pedals whilst being very well made, aren’t on the same level of feedback presentation like the wheel. It feels like you’re just pushing to go fast or to slow down. There’s no bite or no feeling of progression.
Overall I’d absolutely recommend given this one of the best wheels for PS3 AND PS4 which for me is a huge selling point which opens so many doors to games of old but also future titles
Decent steering wheel with strong force feedback. Much better than I’d expected, even for the price. Needs a proper stand though otherwise it’s a waste of time!
I read about every wheel available on the PS4 and wanted the best. In my opinion this is the best. The quality is excellent and it feels realistic. The force feedback is incredible and the paddle gear shifters are metal so can take the punishment. This wheel with Assetto Corsa or Project Cars is great. The pedals that come with it are not of the same quality. I upgraded immediately to the pro pedal set, T3PA Pro. Then in a rig frame and seat it’s as good as anything l the PC for a lot less money. Hopefully the VR headset will complete the setup. Amazon did a great job delivering this wheel well ahead of time.
I replaced my Fanatec CSR / clubsport pedals due to not them being natively supported by the PS4. Wheel needs to be attached to the hub which is quite easy to do. The hub is quite bulky and feels sturdy, the wheel has a good feel to it despite being plastic. The USB cable is hard wired to the hub which is a little annoying (pedals are the same and the connector could be damaged easily). The Pedals themselves are ok but not great. I hoped the wheel would attach to my Rennsport stand but unfortunately the holes didn’t match up (not a major issue just means I’ll have to drill the plate!). The clamp seems sturdy and I used this to attach it to the stand. Pedals aren’t very wide so attaching them to my stand might be an issue. Once all plugged in, you need to turn the PS4 on (can’t do this with the wheel). Once on the wheel calibrates but I was shocked that was quite ferocious compare to my CSR. Tried Driveclub, wheel worked fine just a shame that I need to learn the cars and tracks better! Overall happy with purchase now I just need to keep practising!
Excellent wheel, a great step up from my old G25. The FFB is not notchy feeling like my old wheel and provides a better feeling of what’s happening to cars in the games I’ve played. I’ve removed 1 star due to the average experience provided by the stock pedals.
My friend bought the logitech for 170 odd pound. The belt driven force feedback is sooo much better! The logitech is abit clunky. Well worth the extra money if you appreciate racing and understand how force feedback works.. My only concern is the grips on the pedals are the best.. But to be honest none of them are. I use a file container to stop it sliding. And the bracket for the steering wheel is a little more awkward to fi
Great steering wheel but needs setting up for every type of car. Once set up the reality is pretty awesome.. Shame it isn’t just plug n play and get that feel straight away.
It would be 5 stars if it weren’t for the awful pedals and the dead zone in both pedals, that according to Thrustmaster is a feature rather than an issue…
Some bad reviews here about this product so thought I would explain my experience.
This wheel has worked out of the box perfectly from new. Amazing feedback. I mostly use it with project cars and drive club. The pedals are very cheap and quite nasty. I have replaced them with the t3pa pro set. The ones supplied are very plastic and no progression on either pedal. Useable but not great.
Anyway. I would buy this set up again. I have given it a four because of the pedals.
Fantastic gaming wheel, very smooth induction motors, only slight snag is the two pedals are too close together and they dont feel natural with respect to a real car’s layou
The best wheel money can buy. The pedals do the job as long as they’re not badly put together. Uograde to the T3PA set of you can afford them. The Th8a shifter is fun but you won’t get better times in most scenarios
excellent quality wheel, i have feedback set on lowest setting and still feels great. the pedals on the other hand ain’t the best unfortunately, i had to screw the pedals to the floor as they tip over when pressing brake and accelerator together also there is a large dead zone at the beginning of each pedals travel, i solved this by packing the front of each pedal with cardboard this keeps the pedals in the usable range. good luck x
So, I set it up, on my computer desk, put the cables into the PC, everything was going well, even installed on Windows 8.1, Great news. Then I thought, Damn, I need a Racing game. I have not purchased a racing game in ages, just had no real need or a taste for one. So I turned on my, many applications that hold my games, Uplay, Origin, and Steam, found there to be nothing on Steam, Uplay, I had The Crew, and on Origin, I had Burnout Paradise and Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
Not exactly new games, so I went on the browse for a cheap copy of Bandai Namco’s latest release ‘Project Cars’ found it on a CDKey site for under 20.00 bargain, next was asking my partner, does she mind me purchasing. With a look that could kill, and with me begging like a child wanting sweets, she caved in and I was allowed to purchase. She loves me really see.
ANGRY RANT SECTION
After waiting forever for the game to download, thanks to the internet speed around here, which is all thanks to Rhondda Cynon Taff, Superfast Cymru and BT.s pathetic two years of doing nothing, all because of a Royal Mail post box that needs to be moved,
AHHHH LEARN TO COMMUNICATE GOD DAMN YOU.
Enough of the rant, hours have passed, the game is installed, time for the kid in me to come out and play. But before he does, let us backtracked a little and talk about the box and the contents.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
The Thrustmaster T300RS weighs in at just under 9KG, that’s the same weight as 3 Playstation 4’s if you were wondering. The box is well designed and the Wheel itself is well protected, within the box, with plenty of padding and bags covering each component. I found the instruction manual rather helpful, as I found out fast, that this was no ordinary plug ‘n’ play steering wheel, it requires a brain.
THE CONSTRUCTION AND BASIC SETTING UP
This wheel is no cheap pile of rubbish, it weighs a ton, looks very impressive and the quality is beyond anything I have seen in the past, back when I used to own a console. Setting it up is as easy, USB to PC, pedals to Steering column and wheel to steering column, connect and turn to tighten, grab the desk mount and metal screw tightener, choose a suitable place to mount, screw tight and away you go.
HOW IS THIS NEXT GEN?
For the purpose of this I also borrowed, the so called next gen system Sony Playstation 4, ‘Cough next gen my arse’, more like last gen compared to a 500 PC gaming rig ‘Alienware Alpha for an example’. I must stop with this ranting, but it’s true for both of my rants so far.
UPDATES REQUIRED AND A BRAIN TO USE
Now this is not like any standard wheel, plug ‘n’ play and away you go, no need to do anything, this wheel needs to be calibrated to each game, even to the extent of updating the software within the wheel, to get it to work with newer games. Gone are the days, of the simple plug ‘n’ play and welcome to the days of perfection, where you spend hours and hours configuring the wheel for the perfect gaming experience.
Now you might be thinking stuff like, I just want a wheel I can plug ‘n’ play, stuff all the calibration nonsense, but I can tell you now, you can calibrate this wheel, to perfection, and as soon as you are happy, using the wheel becomes so much better than using a controller, or a mouse and keyboard in my opinion.
THE THRILL
Sitting in my room, PC Game Running, sitting on my office Racing Chair from Element Gaming, feet on the pedals, hands on the wheel, Brum, Brum, as I grind my teeth ready for the start of the race. And off we go, each turn I would not only turn the wheel, I would pull to the left or right, slamming on the break, I would push myself back in the chair, slamming on the accelerator, I would see myself edging forward, then back again. I do not drive, but if this is anything like driving for real, then please oh please, I never wish to drive, as I suck.
RULES MUST BE OBEYED, YEAH RIGHT
Rules of the road, keep to the speed limit, nope, I went way over the speed limited, keep to your side of the road, nope, both sides were my aim, do not use a mobile while driving, failed that as well, stop when cops signal you, nope decided to outrun them instead. Chances of me passing my test, not likely ever going to happen, if I drive like this.
THE EXPERIENCE
Playing with a wheel and pedals is so much more fun than sitting there with a boring controller, or keyboard and mouse, its bring the game to life, in a whole new way, it also makes it a lot harder I personally found.
I did find an issue with the Pedal base, as it seemed to go on it’s on trip under the table, as the grips were not great, when using on carpet or wooden floor, I fixed this by purchasing a rubberised mat. Once you have found a base for the pedals, it’s time to configure the wheel, maybe even a software update from the Thrustmaster website, then load up your game and enjoy.
The wheel uses its own force feedback, so you will feel every break, every tight corner and each crash, it’s not as good as the standard controller feedback, but it’s better than nothing at all.
I found the biggest issue, to be, the support required for these types of wheels, from the game developers themselves. As games get more powerful and technical, so have wheels, and due to the fact that many wheels are no longer plug ‘n’ play, the functionality for them to work needs to be built into the game as well.
MY FINAL THOUGHTS AND SUGGESTIONS
I reckon I will keep the setup of the Thrustmaster T300RS, for some time and start to play more racing games, as I don’t actually own a PS4, PC will be its sole gaming platform, which should be alright as there are plenty of great games out for it, including many F1 Games and Rally Games to dig my teeth into.
I do think however this wheel is expensive, is it to tech fiddly, maybe for some, should wheels be plug ‘n’ play, maybe, or maybe games need to catch up with wheels, whichever the reason, the Thrustmaster T300RS is a solid piece of kit and once calibrated and working, it is something you will not want to put down for a very long time.
I will rate the wheel 4.5/5, its construction is damn impressive, works well, when updated and calibrated, one of the best wheels I have used, since my last wheel, way back when. If you want the perfect experience, high quality, great Precision, and have the spare cash, then please, go out and purchase one of these, if you are a little skint, then look for something else or save.
Sturdy, responsive, well-made piece of kit. I upgraded from a Logitech G27 after finding that was incompatible with a PS4.
The T300 is worth the extra and works brilliantly with a Playseat Challenge.
This is the first steering wheel I have ever purchased and I can’t tell you enough how happy I am with it. I play project cars with the t300rs and it’s a match made in heaven. I wouldn’t bother using this with Driveclub, the feedback and feel when playing Project cars is far superior.
Though the t300ra is plug and play you most likely will need to tinker with the settings, which can take a while with some trial and error. I suggest googling some setups, there’s good ones online.
Once you’ve got the right game, got a good setup and gotten used to the wheel itself, it will completely transform your experience with racing games forever. the feeling of satisfaction and awe after completing a near flawless lap around spa-francorchamps, or winning a tight race when you start in 12th position, it is all magnifies when using this wheel. And the reason for this is simple: you actually feel like you are driving these cars. Project cars has developed their cars to each behave almost exactly like their real life counterpart, but it’s only through the t300rs that you can FEEL the tiny nuances and characteristics of each and every car. This is largely due to the wonderful force feedback system that communicates to your hands and arms the way a car reacts to your driving. And of course as every car is different, the physical feeling you get from the force feedback is appropriately different as well. It’s a night and day difference from using a controller.
So to summarise, if you love racing games you absolutely must buy this wheel. If you don’t love racing games, chances are once you’ve used the t300rs for a few hours you will.
Feels and works brilliantly on my 4k PC set up. I accidentally bought this, as I thought I had actually ordered the G29, so was slightly disappointed when I realised my mistake. However, I took it our the box and whacked on Project Cars. This is the way to play driving games!
Initially bought for my PS4 (Project Cars, Driveclub & The Crew) the unit responded as expected. This is my first FF Wheel so cannot make a comparison except to RL driving. The wheel itself feels very substantial with brushed metal finish and rubber coated wheel. I was not fond of the clamping setup on the base unit, you can never seem to get the bar on the clamp bolt to be properly out of the way though the table I have clamped it to may be a factor. I just think that for all the advertised tech innovation inside the unit the clamp was a bit of an afterthought. Positive feel to the flappy paddles though I feel that the layout of the PS buttons could have been better (buttons that could have been used for handbrake or change of camera view etc.. are a stretch for the thumb and not intuitive, I found myself needing to look for the buttons which stole focus from the game and had me in the armco on more that a few occasions. During use I thought that the ‘Out Of The Box’ FF settings for Project Cars were extremely realistic where as Driveclub a little less so and The Crew not so good. The unit boasts 1080 degree rotation but if you try and use this and need to shift gear at the same time it can become farcical.
Anyway, I would have scored the unit as a 5 if the first unit had not died. My replacement has performed very well since and is quiet when operating with only low level fan noise during extended use. I am very happy with the product and did not suffer with buyers regret, though due to the first unit failure there is a little niggle in the back of my mind that this may happen again. I see on the web that there have been a number complaints about this unit, but many more with nothing but praise. But if it fails I know I can count on Amazon CS to help out.
The best wheel I have ever owned although I was a bit disappointed with the pedals considering the price. The pedal base is far too light and moves about. I use my G27 pedals with it now via an adapter plug. The force feedback is amazing and it can be used with PS3 and PS4.
What can i say!! Ive had and used a few different types of wheels over the years but nothing comes close to the performance this beast delivers, ive probably played 6hrs on drive club and my arms n wrists n legs are done!! what a workout compared to sitting there with a controller…
The force feedback is awesome quite strong so strong it could break a kids arm or wrist but hey kids stay away from a mans gaming wheel full stop…
This t300rs has changed my racing games big time it’s.
Pedals are good not the best but good to jump rite in and are robust to last…the sad thing i was hoping was a 3 pedal set with clutch but you can upgrade to other fancy pedal set as this t300rs is compatible with most of the thrustmaster add-ons etc. Gear shifter/rims/pedals so on. The main body is not to heavy the fan is quite too. ultra smooth feel awesome feedback..
Overall this is a bit steep on price but heck this is so so cool bit of gaming kit, well made feels good…
You know you want one….. you will not regret this perchase.
What a great wheel, had the g27 before this is a complete different beast. Don’t hesitate if your pondering on the idea of buying this wheel, you will regret it. Just make sure you have a place to mount i
I purchased this wheel for used with Project CARS on the PS4 and it certainly takes the game to the next level. The force feedback has a good quality feel, the gear shifters have a nice click to them and all the PS4 buttons (Share / Options etc) are all very useful. I’d read negative reviews about the pedals (specifically the brake pedal) but I have no issue with it so far.
The first few days of use the wheel was used with a DIY desk setup which worked but was a little bit awkward. I switched to using a ‘Wheel Stand Pro V2 Deluxe’ and now it’s just perfect.
Great product and more importantly, my lap times and race craft have drastically improved. Awesome.
Amazing wheel set. Build quality is very high, the force feedback feature is a lot better than my previous wheel (a Logitech driving force for the ps2/3), and the pedals feel a bit sturdier than other wheels I have owned. There’s just 1 big annoyance, the usb needs to be constantly plugged in, the length of the usb lead is far too short and you can’t substitute it for a longer one as it is actually attached to the base of the wheel unit. I have to play in the middle of my lounge, not on the sofa and it feels like I am too close to the TV.
After an initial teething problem (wheel disconnected on ps4 and giving the ps3/ps4 switxh a good wiggle) this wheel is epic. Coming from a logitec gt I can see where the money goes. Good feedback nice build quality.
Superb wheel. I’ve been using it with Project CARS on the PS4 and it really is very good indeed. Powerful force feedback, solid build quality and great overall performance.
Fast delivery, received in very good condition. G27 owner, founded T300RS a bit different. For better feeling ordered Leahter 28 add-on, adapter for G27 pedals and TH8 shifter.
Good quality product with strong force feedback and precise control. I am happy to say I have had no problems and it has greatly enhanced my enjoyment of project cars and other racing titles.
The T300RS delivers. It’s easy to install and set up for game play. The wheel feels good to hand and is very responsive and as excellent force feedback. All the the buttons and features you find on a PS4 joypad are located on the wheel. Brake and Accelerator pedals have a sturdy design and work very well. The T300RS is a great package.
After having to sell my Logitech Driving Force GT as it doesn’t work with the PS4, I wasn’t too keen on forking out for a new wheel – especially as this one is pretty expensive. Ordered it just after Project Cars launched and it said 5-6 weeks estimated delivery (stock of these is low everywhere), it actually turned up within 2 weeks of ordering.
The wheel is solid, heavier than the DFGT and feels like a sturdier build. The pedals are plastic but have metal face-plates on them which gives a more premium feel. It’s pretty easy to put it all together (just watch that connector pin on the wheel that connects the wheel to the main stand).
Wheel works brilliantly – have only used for Project Cars so far – responsive and really fun to use. Lots of people talk about amending the settings, etc but the only thing I’ve adjusted within the game settings is the braking pedal dead zone (took it to zero). I have mine attached to a Wheel Stand Pro which is rock solid.
Overall, 4 stars for the wheel – would have been 5 if it wasn’t so expensive, too much for what it is.
What a great wheel! i was a bit unsure as this was slightly out of my price range but it was well worth the money, the force feedback feels incredible and very realistic.(using wheel stand racing stand) i must add that i got an email on thursday about 3pm saying my order had been dispatched and by friday 4pm it got delivered many thanks
I bought this wheel with project cars for PS4 & both run really well together. I previously had a GT force for PS3 but that only lasted 2 years & broke so thought I’d try something else. I was more impressed with the metal shifters & the pedals have a heavier feel to them making it more realistic. The wheel is a little smaller but you soon get used to it.
Very happy with T300RS wheel and pedals, easy to set up to playstation 4.Build quality of product very good I personally think, but will say to anyone who buys this product make sure you line the steering wheel up in the correct position when attaching too column,as there are very fine pins in centre of wheel and column for the electronic connection of all functions and if these are not matched up correctly you could damage the pins, thus rendering the whole product useless.IE not work.As for the service of Amazon fast delivery, came quicker than expected and also a reasonable price. Thanks Amazo
The thrustmaster t300rs is fantastic and 10 times better than i expected, the force feedback is very real.
The service and delivery from first eleven was first class i bought it on 20th was told it would arrive on the 28th but infact it arrived
on the 22nd.
Faulty on second day. I have now read a lot of reviews about this wheel and do not have confidence to get a replacement. Big shame.
Update: I did get a replacement and the wheel is a fantastic piece of kit. However the S/W does have some issues. So you have to treat the wheel with a lot of care and I would advise don’t let other people use it. If you are too heavy handed with it etc, this can be enough to upset the calibration etc.
Excelent product. Much more than I expected. I used to have a G27 wheel, quite good but T300RS it can’t be compared to G27. It’s really awesome. Realistic, with a precise force feed back, you just have the sensation driving a real car. Those who enjoy games of races will have much more fun playing with this great wheel, instead of using the dualshock. You shouldn’t, you must buy this wheel.
Awesome wheel. I previously owned the Logitech G27 which is a great wheel, but this T300 RS wheel makes the G27 wheel feel like a toy in comparison.
FFB is strong(Can be increased even further than the default 75% if you plug the wheel up to your PC/Laptop and enter its properties. The wheel will remember these settings for when you use it on PS4), smooth and silent. Perfect.
Just need to upgrade the pedals though, as there is no clutch. Other than that, they are great.
I had to send one back because of a problematic Dpad. Amazon replaced straight away but it looks like the replacement is starting to suffer the exact same problem, namely the right direction on the dpad is failing to register. However. even despite this issue. Playing mainly on Driveclub The wheel is amazing. and turned Driveclub into a very different game than with joy-pad. Force feedback has to be dialed down a bit to be realistic and the rumble can be dialed right up. It is very very precise with no discernible dead-zone and negligible lag. There is also very little notchiness that I have felt on previous wheels. It has a full 3 turns 1080 which can be quite a workout especially while drifting but it is realistic and also can reduced on the fly using the mode button if you get tired out.
Very much a step up from my g27 feels good and the cooling fan is no where near as loud as people made it out to be. Only downside is the pedals they are responsive however they are very light i found the pedals would move alot.
Decided to take the plunge and buy the T300 RS even though I had never saw it in the flesh as no bricks and mortar shops stock it. I have had a few wheels over the years and all disappointed and ended up gathering dust up the loft! This one is different – I have only played DriveClub on the PS4 with it but it brings a new dimension to the game. At first it takes a bit of getting used to if you have played with the controller but the feeling of winning that first race as you wrestle the wheel makes it worthwhile. I had mine mounted on the desk and that was fine but as others have mentioned the pedals slide about. I had them wedged in for a bit then bought a Wheelstand Pro and this has made it a much better set up with a really solid feel that is easily stored away when not required. So in summary if you are thinking of buying this wheel – just do it- but I would recommend some kind of wheel stand to go with it.
It’s very good work’s on your ps4 & your PC & PS3 very well , The only thing that let’s it down are the pedal’s , You got to get your self a set of (T3PA) pedal’s to make it a great set up but that’s 80.00 more that you have to pay out , Then get your self the ( TH8A ) ADD ON SHIFTER/GEARBOX , Then you will not look back because this set up will make you a better racer & you will have so much more fun .
Great wheel feels substantial in your hands , flappy paddles are nice and large , in driveclub you can change the ffb and button lay out which is very handy as R2 makes a good handbrake button and less ffb for drifting .
Peddles to me are fine although you will need to trap them or your gonna be chasing them around and would have been better if they could have been bigger .
Overall I’m happy with my buy but can’t see why it’s so expensive…my old logi tech wheel cost 100 and worked just as good ….and is this investment going to work on ps5 or am I going to have to buy another one ?
Rock on project cars and gt7
Awesome wheel upgraded from my Logitech dfgt because of ps4 compatibility
The pedals,
Took some getting used to as they are a lot stiffer and feel more realistic but there was a slight dead-zone about 10-15% travel of the accelerator pedal did nothing. I tried to adapt but could ne get to grips with this issue on f1 2014 ended up taking the pedals apart and resetting the cog. This was easy to do and fixed the problem 100%. Also a good thing is the wire from the pedals and be channelled underneath and exit from left or right of the base plate. There is also mounting holes to bolt them in place.
The steering wheel,
The feel of the wheel is awesome the paddle shifters feel like quality when shifting making a lot better that my Logitech homemade paddle shifters, the force feedback is awesome quite strong and silent compared to the dfgt. The clamp could be better as the clamp would occasionally flex and the wheel would lift up slightly when fighting the feedback (only on driveclub on 100% feedback very minor) The wheel can be bolted down with 2 M6 machine screws I have a gamepod gt2 race chair and its bolted to that nicely.
The wheel and the pedals are good Yeah I guess they are expensive but atm without an alternative force feedback wheel on the market a defo worthy upgrade on my Logitech dfgt and I am happy with my purchase
I’m so glad I bought this wheel, it works beautifully and is perfect for the PS3, PS4 and PC. It’s well worth the money as well, the force feedback is amazing and the technology inside means it will last and last and last without losing precision.
I must give special thanks to Box Limited (who sold me the wheel) and also Thrustmaster as the official PS version of the wheel had some stock issues after I ordered it and they were both kind enough to send me out the Ferrari GTE one without charging me, so big thanks to you guys. 🙂
That’s all, if you want it then you should probably buy it, because you will not regret it.
A complete game changer for me. This investment has completely altered my view and enjoyment of Driveclub. I’ve owned many previous wheels none of which are a patch on this one. Previously stuck on a tour level, my first use of this wheel resulted in me completing the level with ease knocking 4 seconds off the lap time. The advantage the wheel gives you is that you can hold the line for the apex compared to constant flicking with the PS4 controller. If you can afford and enjoy your driving games you need to invest in this product.
Preordered wheel for the 31st didn’t recive till the 9th 🙁 first wheel kept loosing it’s center in game. amazon were great and sent a new one out no questions asked second wheel is awesome I would of rather kept the fanatec csr but no go there thanks sony!!! The thrustmaster wheel and driveclub work great together as did it with the crew beta 🙂 performs awesome on pc too with asseta corsa. I’m using the g25 pedals with it using an adapter because the supplied pedals are adequate but pants lol
Early Christmas present from my wife, bought from Amazon. Delivered next working day.
I have only used this wheel with Gran Turismo 6 on my PS3. Previously used a Logitek Driving Force GT, of which I got through three over the past few years. I am retired and regulary spend up to 6 hours a day on Gran Turismo, so they do take a hammering. The Thrustmaster T300 RS is a great improvement over my Logitek. Control of cars is far more refined and response from the wheel seems more accurate. Love it! People moan about the pedals but I find even they are an improvement over what I have been used to. There does seem to be longer travel on both pedals and maximum braking is not achieved by slamming down the pedal to its stops.
Great product, love the solid feel and the range of settings.
Looking forward to GT7 on PS4.
I have had not problem with the wheel it feels much better then previous wheels I have used. Easy to set up and get straight to racing. The only con is the pedal set but compare to the price of the t500 it is that much off a big deal. A must buy
Had to buy this new wheel as its the only force feedback wheel that works with PS4 (words well on the PS3 too)
Works like a dream with Driveclub, but doesn’t feel as robust as my old G25…. That’s taken a lot of driving abuse from my friends and I for the last 4 years.
To be honest it just feels a bit ‘plastic’ , we’ve encountered issues with the power lead…it transpires that the clamp that secures the wheel isn’t very good and enables the wheel to move and the power lead therefore moves and becomes disconnected – very frustrating when you’re in a race and you lose all control!!!
Finally, I like the idea of interchangeable wheels and the quick release aspect but I’m not sure that the entire wheel assembly (inc. the internal housing) should come apart whilst you are driving!
We bought the wheel direct from the manufacturer (not from Amazon) as we wanted it before the UK release date
Great wheel…played Driveclub (also a very good racer despite online issues, which are getting better). I would say the wheel is just as good as G27 wheel (which doesn’t work with PS4) if not better. The pedals are not as good as the stock G27. Really pleased with it.
Great wheel and perfect for my requirements. Well built and great that I can add my Ferrari F1 SF1000 add on wheel and other Thurstmaster add ons
The wheel is great and very easy to setup. Could potentially do with being larger to add to the realism though as it is fairly small for adult hands.

The product is exactly as expected and it enables me to enhance and expand my driving experience throughout the games.
I had never used a wheel before, it’s amazing how accurate it is.
Had a Logitech g29 before but really prefer this. Feels more robust, smooth and professional. Sturdy made, powerful force feedback. Great quality.
If you’re into racing games it’s an absolute must! I can’t believe I messed around using a control for so many years. Force feedback is brilliant on this wheel. I suggest getting a wheel stand. I went to wheel stand pro for this. There is a negative though… my wheel suffers from rust terribly…
5 Stars are for the wheel NOT the pedals!
On the plus side I have a new pedal door stop. 🙂
Very nice wheel I upgraded from the t150 glad I spent that bit more now.
Overall I’d absolutely recommend given this one of the best wheels for PS3 AND PS4 which for me is a huge selling point which opens so many doors to games of old but also future titles
for the money it is a great wheel . good force feedback . Turns a driving game into a driving game . Pedals basic.
Decent steering wheel with strong force feedback. Much better than I’d expected, even for the price. Needs a proper stand though otherwise it’s a waste of time!
Brilliant. Tried the successor to my G27 but no good.
Quality steering wheel had no issues what so ever. There was an earlier review saying the fan is noisy, I can barely hear it when it kicks in.
I have had this wheel over a 18 months now and its still awesome 🙂
Amazing force feedback pedals are sturdy definitely recommended if your an avid racing game kinda perso
Its a Really good wheel the force feedback is awesome and I think the pedals are pretty good I won’t be rushing to upgrade them
Works really well, worked perfectly straight out of the box! Given it some hard use, no problems so far.
If feels very good to use, high quality product, I definitely recommend it!
This works ok the software in the play station 4 games is the only down side
If you have a ps4 and are into driving games/sims this is a must have
It would be 5 stars if it weren’t for the awful pedals and the dead zone in both pedals, that according to Thrustmaster is a feature rather than an issue…
Great piece of kit bit defo advise to upgrade the pedals when you get chance to. Wonderful service from Amazon as usual .
Fantastic gaming wheel, very smooth induction motors, only slight snag is the two pedals are too close together and they dont feel natural with respect to a real car’s layou
Very solid. But expensive. On a par with my old Logitech driving force GT, but cost twice the price. Standard pedals are a bit weak.
Works well with my PS4, really brings the driving experience up a level, epecially when used with Project Cars of F1 2015.
Also like that the wheel can be swapped for another style.
Great wheel, force feedback feels strong and responsive. A must if your’e serious about sim racing
Feels and works brilliantly on my 4k PC set up. I accidentally bought this, as I thought I had actually ordered the G29, so was slightly disappointed when I realised my mistake. However, I took it our the box and whacked on Project Cars. This is the way to play driving games!
Brilliant steering wheel I highly reccomend this . Feels like the real thing
Great wheel, good solid shifters and modes for steering lock. Powerful force feedback.
Awesome.
Fantastic wheel that enhances gameplay. Expensive but completely worth i
Amazing wheel set.
Wow. this make driving games like drive club and project cars amazing. Price is steep but you won’t regret it.
Superb wheel. I’ve been using it with Project CARS on the PS4 and it really is very good indeed. Powerful force feedback, solid build quality and great overall performance.
Very good wheel very sturdy.Helps that it has all the controller buttons on the wheel.
Had this wheel a few weeks now with no problems with it. Well built and working straight out of the box unlike my madcatz xbox one wheel.
Great product. Shipped and delivered fast. Many thanks. Brilliant wheel for the playstation 4.
4 stars because pedals could be a bit better but the wheel I’m v happy with..
I LOVE this wheel. It’s so premium that I upgraded my whole room so that the wheel felt at home.
More of a table mounted steering wheel than have it on ur knee , but other than that very good
Excellent at last a steering wheel for the PS4
Works well with Driveclub
Highly recommend this wheel, it’s a better and cheaper version of the T500.
It fantastic, thanks for the guick delivery its more fun than a tree full of monkeys x
Feels better than my fanatec! Even the pedals are good not sure why the pedals get negative review. Got mine from Amazon.f
Simply incredible.
