I love this watch. It has all of the features that I want and need and is great for the money. The only downside is that the battery life only lasts a few days and the mobile app could be better but other than that great watch. Would highly recommend

great watch, easy to use and set up. Battery Life is not really great but easily and quickly charged

The best wear OS smart watch that I have used so far with its best feature being battery life, I only need to charge the device a few times a week which means that sleep tracking is actually useful as I tended to have to charge previous devices I have owned overnight.

This is my first smart watch and I like it. Easy to setup and connect to my phone. Need to connect and pair then set to answer calls. Easy sync and just a little fidley as there appear to be two apps to do everything Google fit and ticwatches own.

I like the subtle ‘digital’ clock display, and I like the more usual watch face which are clear. I like the properly 3 day battery life I’m getting on ‘SMART’ mode (almost 3 days if on wrist 24/7) and the vibration is easily noticeable (unlike a few I’ve tried). Charges without fuss quickly and easy to connect to my phone. In summary does what it says on the tin, not a great fan of the app, but it’s Ware OS so doesn’t matter 🙂

been looking for a while - and this works for me!

Beautiful watch, great price on Amazon. I don’t have a Samsung phone because I don’t like the bloatware. But this meant my galaxy watch worksheet with with Samsung Pay. Samsung : you forced me to choose, so goodbye. The ticwatch is wear OS 3 ready, but is fully functional on OS 2. I finally have Google pay on my watch too! Pujie Black, the best watch faces designer, finally works FULLY, now that Tizen has been left behind. Wait for the Pixel watch? Well, I did until I found out it will be more than 300, and the price of this watch just went from 289.99 to 147. 99 on Amazon. No brainer. Very happy

    Fantastic Wear OS watch

Before I bought this watch I spent about a month trying to find the right smart watch. I wanted it waterproof, NFC that I didn’t have to charge every day. I’ve had it a week now and thought it was time to do a review.
It took me three attempts to set up, nothing changed each time I did it so I have no idea why it failed the first twice, since then no trouble with it connecting to my phone. The battery lasts 2 days for me, that’s with normal use, if you just have it in your wrist and don’t connect it to anything then it’ll do much longer, but what’s the point of having a smart watch if you don’t use it. The navigation of the menus are great and it works seamlessly with my phone (Android). The app for the phone is we built and gives all the information I need for my runs and I haven’t had a problem with it. All In all I’m happy with it and the price tag was more reasonable than the big names offering the same specifications.

It’s a great watch but it’s the Wear OS that lets it down. Wear OS 3 upgrade should make it a better watch than Samsung Galaxy Watch4.

I’ve been looking at this watch for awhile and finally decided to pull the trigger. I had the 2020 Ticwatch pro and been wearing it ever since. This new version is just an upgrade from that watch in every way. Slimmer, sleeker, faster with better battery life. I don’t use the smart features that often and manage to get a week between charges, amazing.

    Great Upgrade from last ge

I’ve been nothing but happy with this watch. It’s super speedy and lasts for a good three days before I pop it on charge for a bit.
The only gripe is that the strap that it came with caused a rash. (It went away after I stopped using it and got another band)

  15. KJIRubyewoskok says:

So I have the previous Ticwatch and was actually pretty happy with it, the only issue was the thickness and the battery life wasn’t quite good enough to be my fitness and sleep band so I was always potentially open to upgrading but I didn’t really believe it would be that much of an upgrade. I was wrong while the watch isn’t light years away from the 2 it definitely is better it’s slimmer with a better battery (use it over 3 days even for sleep) and even more sensors. It also feels a lot more snappy which is a definite nice upgrade. From my understanding, all wear os watches use basically the same SOC with the newest really only bringing slight battery life upgrades so I think this must be partly down to software. So in all, I love this watch and I’m glad I got it as my Christmas present to myself

Love it Love it Love i

Not sure why people moan about wearOS but seeing as have only had watches on wearOS, I can’t compare. All I can say is I have no issue with it. The watch itself works great and is nice looking. The dual display is a great feature. Can’t say I’ve had much dealing with the tichealth etc apps as just use the Google fit apps. Always found the wearOS system easy to use and set up. Coming from a fossil watch, found this ticwatch to be so much faster and responsive. The battery life is much better, easily lasting 3 days (2 nights) while all features are turned on and working. Expect it would last a lot longer on essential mode. The charger is easy to use and works well (thankfully not charging rings like fossil which brake and are impossible to use after a while). All in all a very good watch.

I bought this watch after looking at loooooaaaads of other ones online. I begrudged paying the extortionate prices of the Samsung watches so have been looking at the lower priced alternatives. This is still pricey but I bought it on offer and I have to say its been superb! I work in a workshop so needed it to be tough and it is. I also keep my phone away from me when working so wanted a way to still get my notifications and calls, as long as its within Bluetooth range (about 10m) it works perfectly. I can answer and make calls on it too and the speaker is of good quality. I also use this as a fitness tracker for when I play football and it’s very accurate. The health features are very good and sleep tracker is handy. All in all this watch is a fantastic piece of gear with loads of handy features

    Great piece of gear!

I did a lot of research into smart watches and came to the conclusion the Ticwatch Pro 3 was a good all-rounder for an android phone. However, after setting up the watch I realised the pulse app, breath app, and other apps that use the sensor on the back of the watch were not working. After doing some troubleshooting I came across one person saying the sensor can’t read anything through tattoos. I have both my arms fully tattooed. I tried it on a small patch of skin with no tattoo and it worked fine. I have now returned the watch and bought a hybrid smart watch as I only really wanted the step counter and notifications.

After my Fossil Explorist finally gave up the ghost, I went for something else. I don’t find the watch face too big and I’ve not got the biggest wrists. It’s nippy and got all the usual Wear OS features I like.

Reason for the 4 stars. I prefer to use Google Fit (as I’ve got a lot of history on it) but even though I’ve used the Mobvoi app and given it permission to sync with Google Fit, it refuses to accept any google fit data (many google searches have been fruitless so far). I’ve found one watch-face that gives me the option to use google fit data, so I’m ok.

I use the pulse option and it doesn’t seem to have any impact on battery life in my opinion. I don’t use the sleep monitor as I prefer not to wear a watch while in bed.

It’s a shame that the google fit aspect let’s it down slightly for me, it’s great otherwise. I’ve not used the GPS for running yet, as I have a Garmin that I use for running, but it’s treadmill running feature works surprisingly well. Battery life is next level compare to the Fossil Explorist (days, instead of hours). The dual screen is great.

If you don’t use Google Fit, I’d recommend this all day long.

I bought a 3rd party strap, wasn’t great – but that’s not the fault of the watch manufacturer and the strap that it comes with is absolutely fine.

Ideally I’d give this 4.9 out of 5

I used to have a ticwatch pro and it was slow as molasses! Mobvoi finally got their ducks in a row and released this beautiful beast. Great aesthetics, good battery life and it’s very responsive. If you’re planning on getting a Wear OS watch, this one’s hard to beat.

The Ticwatch Pro 3 was an amazing smart watch with an incredible user experience, but as soon as I wanted to use its sensors and fitness tracking, that’s where the experience fell apart unfortunately. I had bought a Garmin Vivoactive 4 and ran some tests back to back with the 2 watches and it made it abundantly clear how inaccurate the Ticwatch Pro 3 was. I then returned it and stuck with Garmin since. If I had no intention to use the fitness features or sleep tracking and only wanted the watch for its interface, rich notification and screen quality, then I would have kept it.

On the whole, great smart watch, poor fitness tracker.

I had been waiting and waiting for other wear OS watches with the new processor. In the end gave up and ordered this. Very happy with it up to now, but for me, like most smart watches these days too much emphasis on activity tracking. We are not all fitness freaks. Mobile app basically useless unless you are heavily into tracking your activities.
Battery life is good but have not tried essential mode.
After replacing the supplied strap with a metal one, very happy with it.

My first impression of the Tic Watch was underwhelming. The default watch faces are pretty poor really, the app at first glance poorly put together, the strap that reviewers seem to go on about is just a strap, every thing seemed more complex than my Huawei GT2, and the battery life is way inferior. That said once I had read a few guides I installed a very good free watch face from the Play Store, learnt how to make the battery life better ( I set the watch to switch to essential mode over night, and turn Wifi off when not using it), learnt how to link it to Strava, Komoot etc, (something that’s impossible on my GT2) , and put a decent silicone strap on, I began to really like it . I think the Tic Watch does every thing that my very good GT2 does, but also does the bits that I wish it would do, for example, Google Pay, the ability to respond to messages, link to external blue tooth devices, install third party apps. It is a case very much of the more you use it the more you appreciate just how versatile a piece of kit it is.

Great watch! Brought the LTE version. Brilliant battery life, 4 to 3 days with heavy use, after a single charge with only bluetooth on and 4G turned off. 4G turned on will drain the battery quickly in hours so keep it off if you buy the LTE, only switch the 4G on when the phones not in your pocket or not with you whist outside. The onenumber is costs 7 with Vodafone including vat be roughly 8.50 so abit on the expensive side, this facility should be free for contractual customers, not sure why their should be a cost on the same number? like to make extra money anyway possible, but this is optional so you can opt out anytime. Liked the google assistance and maps and apps, handy tools. Materials abit on the cheap side and feel comparing with high end high street watches like hauwai, Samsung and apple, reason for half the price. Overall it has all the daily health information you need and much much more, watch is very light because of the materials used, overall very pleased with watch and the operatiing software “wear Os”, runs nice and smooth with the internal hardware, the 4100 chipset.

    Great watch!

Very n ice watch, battery life and dual displays are as good as all the reviews say. It is very responsive and the dual buttons make it quick and easy to access the functions. But the charger is a disgrace, why didn’t they add another couple of grams of plastic and make it into a disc the watch could sit on? The watch is tilted to an unusable angle when on the charger and any attempt to touch the screen tips it off the charger. A product of this quality really should come with a charger the watch can actually sit on!

Nice watch but the charger is a joke

Bought both, available on the market, TickWatch versions at the same time (this one and the Pro S version) and I like the ProS version a bit more, as the “second display” is much clearer, and the menu easier to use. The pros on this one are: the second display back light (is affecting the battery life), the GPS and the slightly slimmer case (than Pro S) . Good, nice, watches overall.

    Good android WearOS experience.

What can I possibly add that hasn’t already been written here regarding the Ticwatch Pro 3 LTE?
It’s just brilliant and suits my needs perfectly.
Also, thanks to Amazon, the price was pretty amazing amazing too thanks to the Prime Day offer.

If you’re after a good, solid smartwatch that doesn’t cost the earth, this could well be the one for you.

Definitely an upgrade on the older TicWatch models. The new chips make it super responsive with more than enough RAM to run smoothly. The dual layer display is great and it’s good to see them continue to use this. It’s a great alternative to the always on display for saving some battery. On that note this watch will last me a couple of days and it charges really quickly when it does need topped up. Between the WearOs and the Mobvoi app there is watch faces to suit everyone.

I bought this on amazon day , grate purchase. Open box
Powered on, downloaded all the app, syncs with the iPhone alright, added Google Pay to my account.
Overall this watch is by far the best Smart watch on the market the battery life is really good, i get 3 days on one charge ( way better then my aple watch) the apps are working perfectly, and the customisation is grate ( there apps that you can download and add watch faces) .
You cam add any 22mm watch strap.
I’ve been using the watch with the pre-installed Mobvoi apps such as TicHealth and TicPulse, as well as the new ones: TicSleep, TicZen, TicOxygen, and TicHearing. All of the apps have been working perfectly and reporting the stats accurately. The TicSleep app also has the option to set non-tracking time to save battery.
I see some people experience some delay in notifications, or messages , didn’t happen to me
    Very happy with my purchase.

    Great super smart watch

Great value (100 off on Prime Day) watch. Still getting used to its functions but really pleased so far. It’s remarkably lightweight so doesn’t feel too heavy on the wrist. Only negative for me was there lack of detailed instructions and useful FAQs. I encountered what appears to be a common problem that the watch became ‘stuck’ in tutorial mode and wouldn’t display notifications. I managed to find the solution on a forum but this sort of info should be included in the FAQs. Disappointing basic mobile app but this takes nothing away from the watch itself which is amazing.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI own a Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 – one of many smartwatches I have owned from Samsung. It’s a very nice watch but it’s let down by poor third party app support. Tizen is great as a base operating system, it’s reliable and solid, but install some apps and you’ll see how things fall apart. Unfortunately the alternatives were Apple (no thanks) or Wear OS. But Google’s Wear OS needed some serious hardware to perform as intended and this put me off in the past.

Introducing the TicWatch Pro 3 with its Snapdragon 4100 chipset and 1Gb RAM, you get a platform that’s more than capable to run Wear OS, no sweat. So after reading countless reviews I took the plunge and bought this.

Not only do you get that stellar performance, you get a watch that is attractive and looks premium. It’s durable and has a solid build quality. It has a beautiful sharp and vibrant 1.4″ OLED screen, a secondary low power ‘always on’ screen for even longer battery life, IP68 water resistance, heart monitor, SPO2 monitor, 5 GPS receivers, a loud and clear speaker, NFC with Google Pay and one of the best features is the built in Google Assistant, which is fast and responsive.

My only criticism is that it doesn’t have wireless charging. It’s not a deal breaker but it would be nice to have.

So, comparing it to my beloved Galaxy Watch 3, I can’t believe I am saying this… it pains me to say in fact that the TicWatch Pro 3 is a clear winner. You get a lot for your money and Wear OS runs so well on it. It’s a fantastic watch.

If like me you are invested in Google services and Android smartphones, this watch will be the perfect companion. Take that from a Samsung fanatic like me!

There are many pros about this watch so I won’t list them all here. My favourite aspect is that not only is it a full featured smart-watch, but unlike Samsung 3 it has android app store and supports a good amount of 3rd party apps.

The factors causing me to drop stars are:
    1. Sleep monitoring is inconsistent – some nights the watch just totally fails to record any sleep info
    2. Essential mode doesn’t stop the backlight from turning on when the wrist is moved – annoying when sharing a bed with someone else overnight
    3. Still no bezel OS control – this watch would benefit massively from hardware interface control instead of the gestures

I bought this at the discounted price of 220. At that price, there’s nothing to fault. Not sure I’d be willing to pay 300 for it though. It’s beautiful, smooth, practical, and despite concerns I found the size absolutely fine on my wrist (I’m male with a small to medium build). Can’t recommend this highly enough.

After buying a fitness tracker I decided to to go down the route of a full feature smartwatch. I tried the Hauwei gt2 and the pro version but the step tracking on those was flawed so I upped the budget and went for the Ticwatch on offer at 220.

Initially I was not impressed and started a return. The battery seemed to take an age to charge the last 15% so I decided to let it run down over the course of a few days and recharge from 5%. The recharge took about 2 hours which is within spec so all seems good and I may hang onto it now. Wear os has a lot more functionality compared to Hauwei, Honor and amazfit offerings but Google still needs to fix a lot of things for a flawless experience. The bits that do work are good and the watch itself is of good quality.

Update…..after a week of dabbling with smartwatches I gave up and went back to a fitness tracker on one wrist and a real watch on the other. I appreciate the tech that goes into these things but they are a bit of a gimmick and will date quickly. A real watch will last a lifetime.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersI received the watch from Amazon Prime (thank Amazon) also came with a delivery-password to ensure the watch doesn’t get somewhere else, great.

    Now, onto the watch, …

After I lost my Citizen ECO drive watch that I absolutely loved after 8 years of service,… I spent about 3-4 weeks researching trying to find which is the best smart watch to get… I own an iPhone and was looking to get something that works with it,..

after checking lots of reviews to land on two final options (Huawei GT-2-PRO, TicWatch-3-PRO, Apple Watch-6-SE), Apple does two types (the 6 and the 6SE, the SE is a cut-down cheaper comes without the CO2 but still works fine).

I wasn’t 100% keen on getting an Apple Watch this time, mainly for 2 reasons (A) I was looking for a rounded watch not a square one, and (B) I bought an Apple-Watch for my wife a year ago and the battery on those isn’t great…, the GT-2 Pro was almost un-customisable and I did have some plans to write some apps on these one day, so that wasn’t an option any longer.

I paid for the TicWatch-3-Pro with SIM capability, even if I don’t use the SIM yet, but will decide on that later…

The watch is pretty, with customisable faces, heart beat, all sorts of sensors in the world to workout if I am a male of female…

I also bought a separate black metal (Titanium) alloy to go with it, this makes it easier to put on and off like the previous watch I had.

Powered on, downloaded the app, syncs with the iPhone alright, added Google Pay to my account, used it a couple of times when I was at the Gym, didn’t use it for Swimming yet (wasn’t keen on getting it dipped into water yet, even if it has “Swimming Activity” on one of its programs.

Now, here is the annoying parts:

    1) No Wireless charging. I bought a stand with all wireless charging etc, put it on, nothing, checked the manual, nothing suggests for it to have that capability. Sigh,…

    2) The ‘messages’ app does not work (don’t know if it does not work with the iPhone, or does not work at all), i.e. click on Messages and I get “To see messages on your phone, click (install messages)”, I do that, but nothing happens

    3) Click on the “Phone” app, and then I get “Bluetooth Phone Audio isn’t available, calling will not work”, why!? I have no idea, or may not yet. At least, should say why? what what to do to get it to work? or if it’s not even meant to work?, or works with Android phones only?!

    4) Creating an account: This is a google-watch, on Google was easy to navigate, however, the sport (lower button to press on the watch), takes you to another “MobVoi” system which is a completely different one, and man that was a B**** to setup, I went on their website registered as indicated, but the watch could not really sync with that, I eventually ended up trying to login on the watch itself, and had a nightmare trying to press the tiny keyboard on the watch trying to enter my username and password, the keyboard buttons are so tiny, no zoom, and to enter anything I must’ve tried about 5 presses per key to get it right, multiply that by 7 times with bad-login, didn’t work at all, then I decided to search for the MobVoi app, downloaded it and then it saw me as a “new user”,… ok, so this is why?!… anyway, tried again,… and,… uh, … finally,… yes… I’m in.
    5) Another annoying part, is that all apps you’re trying to use would ask you again and again… “Age!?, Height?!, Weight?!”… not sure why not have that in a settings somewhere so that it’s entered once and all apps read from that?!… Anyway…
    6) Raising the watch to read, not always work 100%, for instance, when I’m in bed and trying to raise my wrist to read the time, the watch still doesn’t know, I have to tap it to read the time.
    7) Some faces have the clock-arms covering the date or heart-sensor, there is nothing to do to read what’s under the arm other than changing the face into another one.
    8) Whilst driving, I listen to Bluetooth audio from my iPhone (still connected to the watch), I raise my wrist to read the time, and instead I see the (Play / Pause) screen wonder why!?, nevertheless, swipe it away, got rid of it, thank you,… but then I thought I like to have that back,… how do I do that?!… Sigh…

Now, the annoying parts out of the way,… my verdict,…

    1) I do like the watch, I’m not keen on calling from my watch (I mean if you’ve taken the effort to lift your write all the way to your face, then might as well use the phone instead…),
    2) Messages, I don’t think I will ever type messages on the watch, but would be great if I could get them to show on my watch as well.
    3) Alerts comes in nicely from all apps, I can customise some things here and there, nice watch to have,
    Batter
    4) Google Pay works, but there is a catch,… many people complained that it doesn’t and they get “Device Not Supported” when they use NFC trying to pay,… this because it’s not working, but because when you do so, the watch doesn’t know what to do with the NFC device, the solution is to start the Google-Pay app on the watch and it will pay.
    5) Heart Sensor works, but is 20 heart-beat difference between the watch and the Gym equipment (i.e. Gym says 134 pulse, but the watch will say 114 instead), that didn’t bother me.
    6) It’a wear-OS which means that I can write my own app “someday” to do what I want to do.
    7) Batter lasts 3 days
    8) Installed Spotify on the watch, and is great to have, i.e. you can install apps from it’s App Store too.

I do like it, as you can see above, there is a lot of work to do to make it better, I am sure all these could be fixed as the software is upgraded (other than the wireless charging).

Overall, is a good watch to have, do I think it would last as much as my Citizen Eco Drive for 8 years?!… time will tell…

Sorry for the long text, and Thank you for ready!

    Good luck

It’s a good gadget but still need to be worked on. Doesn’t wake up every time you tap it.
HR monitor for the gym is useless.
Stopwatch is difficult to use if you want to check it out often.
That’s sime minor things but in general I like it and I’m very attracted to it.

The last time i tried a Wear OS watch was a fossil sport which was slow and had very poor battery life. Everything that was wrong with that watch is completely the opposite with this watch. From great battery life (2-3 days), smooth and fast operation and a wide array of heath apps (Mobvoi apps and Google Fit) I love this watch. It does have a few issues though including a poor Mobvoi Android app and the ability to set DND to turn on and off to a schedule except it works once then not again. Then the inability to be notified of Google reminders which has been a problem for years! Other than this I highly recommend this phone and am pleased with my purchase.

I bought this smart watch for my husband for his 50th birthday. He wanted something different and loves watches. This was delivered on time and has all the features it states. He loves all the apps and the changeable faces. I’m not sure if the sleep facility is 100% accurate but it’s close enough. It’s a lovely looking watch and not bulky like I though it would be. Overall a good buy and I would recommend it to people who love tech and gadgets.

If you are an android user then this watch is great but I really wouldn’t recommend if your an iPhone user, ALOT of its notification functions and abilities won’t work with iPhone. I returned today after finding this out..

Having previously purchased what I thought would be a better quality Fossil Wear OS watch which failed twice, this is fantastic.
I was a bit concerned as I had never heard of the brand but there were good reviews and it looked a nice piece of kit.
The battery life is great does 2 days of reasonable use.
Has nice features from wear os which are duplicated or improved linking the app for the watch.
Sleep Tracking and steps seem pretty accurate, I have compared it with other devices and gives very similar results.
It also does oxygen sensing not sure of the accuracy but nice feature.
The display is a good size and is crisp and sharp and the dual display always on feature is a nice bonus.
Reasonable number of free watch faces and obviously loads more you can pay for.
    Great watch so far.

Really good watch I get about 4.5 to 5 days out of one charge. Easy to use, lovely colours and bright love the second screen at a glance see what time it is how many steps date if you got one of the exercise apps running it show s you how long and other stuff. Phone calls through watch are brillianti can talk with my arm down by my side and I can here it to. Good build is definitely lighter than my wife’s Samsung galaxy watch 2 but still feel rugged enough that you know it is strong. Can’t say anymore than it brilliant and hope it stays that way. Just hopefully get to try the swimming with it soon see if it recognise how many lengths.

This is my 3rd smartwatch and by far the best so far. the improved chip and battery mean a very smooth operation and it easily gets through the day using about 20% of battery capacity in 12 hrs use. no need for a separate fitness device as this fulfils that roll but also delivers notifications from phone and replicates other phone apps like notes and maps. the watch does everything I want from a wrist-worn device

Got as birthday gift for my dad and he says he is happy with it.

His Huawei phone doesn’t have some Google apps which limits his use of it. But obviously thats because of the phone and not the watch.

He is very happy with all of the other functions of the phone.

First ever smart watch, so nothing to compare it with except my expectations. It basically does everything I wanted it to. I can take phone calls on it, it receives messages from WhatsApp, Signal etc. emails (work and home). When I’m out walking I can see my route via GPS tracking and Google Maps works on it.
The heart rate monitor seems to be pretty accurate, not sure how to comment on the blood/oxygen monitor, but it’s there. I’m also not sure how it counts the steps, it seems to over estimate I think, but I could be wrong. The only thing I didn’t see the point of was the sleep monitor, it tells you how much sleep you had. I know how much sleep I had, I was there doing it. I sleep well and solidly so don’t really need a second opinion.
I get 3-4 days out of the battery, which I think is pretty good.
Overall it is a good watch with plenty to recommend and it is not too expensive. It was quick to pair with my Android phone, I had to Google how to do a couple of things, but easily found and implemented.

My biggest worry is how to set up voice command with Google assistant… that’s the thing that’s not working ATM, and I bought it for that reason mostly, didn’t want to have the need to press button to wake up the watch. Hopefully they will fix it, other than that, when it comes to battery life, accuracy is great. Very responsive, not sure about sleep tracking and exercise apps.

So upgraded from the ticwatch pro 2020.
This is a much better looking and designed watch. Thinner and lighter than the 2020, it looks a lot more premium on the wrist.
I got the LTE version, though this isn’t widely supported yet, so hope to make use of the esim in the future.
Some reviews and forums mention problems with the software and sensors. Mine has been fine right out the box.
It’s easy to respond to texts etc from the watch. Tracking info seems pretty spot on.

Overall, really pleased with this. Deffo an upgrade over previous ticwatch and performs just great. Battery life also much better than the previous ticwatch, and the dual screen set up is just brilliant.

If you’ve already got a ticwatch, this is better looking. If you’re torn between this and a Samsung/fossil smart watch… This one won’t disappoint!

I’ve already got a TicWatch 2020 which I’ve been very impressed with, having had a Garmin VivoActiveHR before that. When I bought the 2020 I did consider getting the LTE version, but decided the additional cost was not worth it at the time.
Then the opportunity arose to get the new TicWatch Pro3 LTE at no additional cost to me, so I thought I’d give it a go – it’s always useful to have a spare watch in any case, especially smartwatches that require regular charging.

I have to say, although TicWatch is probably considered a mid-price brand the quality of their watches is really good. Easily as good as Garmin for build quality (probably better actually) and with Google WearOS they’re far less likely to suffer from the software/firmware glitches that plague Garmin devices in general.

Things I like about both the 2020 and the Pro3 LTE:
Proper, full, notifications from my Android phone and the ability to respond to them, including using voice commands and dictation.
The ability to make phone calls from the watch for when my hands are too full or too dirty to get my phone out!
24/7 health stats monitoring – not lab-accurate, but good enough for general health monitoring as well as recording the more spontaneous exercise/workouts I do (when cycling in general I use a Wahoo computer on my bike).
Flexibility and customisation thanks to Google WearOS.
Decent battery life when compared to a mobile phone rather than non-smart watch (more on that later).

Differences between 2020 and Pro3 LTE:
The Pro3 LTE is slightly slimmer and lighter, not much to notice off the wrist, but it makes a noticeable difference when wearing it – surprisingly so.
The charger for the 2020 is a magnetic cradle for the whole watch, whereas the Pro3 LTE charger attaches via magnet to the charging contacts. The 2020 charging cradle is just better – more secure, watch lays flat when charging. Unfortunately they’re not interchangeable either, so I just have to carefully place the Pro3 LTE down when charging to avoid the charger being knocked off and the watch kind of sits a little awkwardly on the table or whatever surface I’m charging it on. The magnets on the Pro3 LTE charger are pretty strong, so it’s not a major issue, but I do think the old version was a better design.
The battery life on the Pro3 LTE is better. Significantly so. The 2020 is good enough – it will always get through a day easily, but it can be a challenge to get all the way through a second day to a point that you can take it off and charge it. However, the Pro3 LTE lasts a clear 2 days and into a third. As both watches have sleep monitoring (as well as 24/7 heart rate) you miss the ‘overnight every night’ charging opportunity so have to find convenient times in the evening to take it off for a couple of hours – which makes that extra day’s capacity a significant advantage for the Pro3.
The Pro3 has more storage (8Gb instead of 4Gb of storage/ROM – it has the same 1Gb of RAM) and a newer, faster processor. It is a little smoother and faster as a result, but when both watches are new and not too loaded up with extra apps they both function perfectly well. I suspect the Pro3 will not slow down as quickly as the 2020 over time though (no evidence to base this on as yet though).
The Pro3 LTE monitors blood oxygen saturation as well as heart rate. This is another nice piece of health info to have, but isn’t accurate enough to make much use of and isn’t something that varies significantly enough due to fitness to really tell you anything more generally. The only reasons I can think of why your blood oxygen would generally drop and not cause something more acute that you’d notice (like an asthma attack) are carbon monoxide poisoning and smoking – so if you’re giving up smoking and want to see your blood oxygen levels recover, or are worried about CO in your house this might be useful!
Using the LTE function to make calls on the Pro3 LTE without being in range of your phone requires a Vodafone contract (which luckily I have already) and costs an additional 7 per month (on my tariff at least!). This wouldn’t be so bad if the price difference for the LTE version of the watch wasn’t also significantly higher (40 at the time of writing) – if the watch was more expensive and there was no additional monthly cost then it would definitely be worth it, likewise if the watch was a very similar price to the non-LTE version and there was a monthly cost it might be worth having. Having to pay more the watch and then more to use your existing Vodafone contract to make phone-free calls with it makes it harder to justify if you don’t _really_ need to leave your phone at home, or are particularly worried about your phone battery dying and needing to call someone.
The straps are both made of silicon (although the 2020 has a leather top) and traditional two piece strap and clasp style. I’ve never liked silicon straps and changed the 2020 to a stainless steel one almost immediately – the silicon was not kind to my wrist at all and became uncomfortable within a couple of days. Thankfully changing straps is a doddle thanks to the quick release. The Pro3 LTE was a different matter – a couple of weeks in and I’m still using the original silicon strap. I’m not sure what the difference is, and to be honest I probably will swap it for the stainless one at some point (it has the same easy quick release system), but to date it hasn’t caused me any skin sweatiness or irritation problems. Which is good, because the heart rate (and in the case of the Pro3 the oxygen saturation monitoring) monitoring works much better when the watch is fairly tight.

    Other points of note:
I could add the Pro3 LTE to my Google Wear OS app on my phone very easily and both watches are now synced there. However, it looks like the Mobvoi app can only have one watch registered to it. Also, when I added my Pro3 LTE it took a couple of days for the Mobvoi app to realise and update the watch description. It seems a little quicker to swap now when I swap watches, but I still can’t seem to connect both to the app concurrently – I have to power off the one I’m not using and wait or restart the Mobvoi app to get the powered on one connected.
I’m not sure how much the Mobvoi app adds to the bare WearOS app – I have it installed anyway and it does record my blood oxygen history which it doesn’t look like makes it into Google Fit, but other than that I can’t find anything not already in either the WearOS app or Google Fit.

    So, my overall thoughts:

Both the 2020 and the Pro3 LTE are great watches.
The Pro3 LTE has some significant advantages – it’s definitely a progression from the 2020.
Is LTE worth it? Definitely yes if you know you will be (or want to be) without your phone regularly, probably not if you’ll always have your phone with you.

First let me start with the battery life which is amazing. The advertised 2 to 3 days of battery life is not an overstatement. I have activated 24h heart rate monitoring, 24h SpO2 (oxygen saturation) monitoring, sleep tracking and auto detection of exercise (walking and running) and I get close to 3 days out of one charge. In that time, I check my notifications, check the weather quite frequently, control my music and sometimes have a bit of a “conversation” with google assistant. If you are not interested in sleep tracking or other type of monitoring, I think you can get close to 4 days, maybe more on a single charge.
Sleep tracking also works in essential mode when Wear OS is basically shut down and you only have the FSTN display active.

The Snapdragon wear 4100 is, again, amazing on this watch. Everything is smooth, snappy and just a joy to use. Google Assistant opens instantly, Play Store in under 2 seconds, in fact all apps are responsive as they should be. Even the app drawer is a lot better now with vertical scrolling and 2 rows of icons. Bear in mind I am coming from the first Ticwatch PRO. With the first version I found myself using the “smart” features less and less because of the not so snappy interface. I still love the first version as a watch and for receiving notifications.

The OLED display is crisp and colourful, but my main surprise was the new second display. It has a better design and more info is displayed including seconds for the time. It is a bit darker or maybe the contrast is not as good as the previous version (indoor for example) but that is compensated by the back-light. Yes, the second display has a back-light now . Outdoor it does not need the back-light for the display to be clearly visible.
Another nice addition for the display is that you have 3 levels for adaptive brightness (bright, normal and dim) plus 3 levels of screen timeout (5, 10 and 15 seconds).

The watch has the same design lines, but it is slimmer and lighter than before. Because of this I can wear it to bed and make use of the sleep tracking function. In general, I do not wear any watch when I go to bed, but this one is not bothering me at all when I sleep. I could almost instantly feel the difference when I first put it on my wrist. I do believe the new strap is also better and more comfortable. It is made entirely out of silicone with orange/brown stitching. It has 22mm standard type strap so you can replace it easily.

Apart from the darker second display (which is not really an issue, as I said before, being back-lit now) I cannot find a fault with this watch. Mobvoi has made Wear OS “wearable” again.

    Best Wear OS Watch

I already had the Ticwatch Pro 2020 but took the chance to upgrade to the Ticwatch Pro 3 LTE as it promised a smoother Wear OS experience due to the snapdragon 4100 processor all wrapped in a more svelte frame. This watch does not disappoint!

The Pro 2020 is a handsome watch but the Pro 3 is able to refine the look and shave a reasonable amount of weight off. 16 grams doesn’t sound like much but on your wrist, it makes a noticeable difference. You do not get that “wobble” on your wrist with a heavier watch. Everything feels well-made and built to last.
The strap is all silicone this time around which I prefer. Good for any sweat inducing activity yet still manages to look premium and smart. It happily goes with a shirt or gym gear.

Setup was a breeze. It starts up and pairs noticeably quicker than the Pro 2020. The whole experience of using the watch is very nice. Swipes and presses are slick and smooth with no lag or stutter. Apps load much quicker than any watch I have previously owned (including previous Apple watches). Raise to wake is quick and doesn’t leave you hanging. This will be down to the Snapdragon 4100 processor and the 1GB of memory. It makes for a very enjoyable experience.

The watch comes pre-loaded with Mobvoi and Wear OS apps which gives you a choice straight from the box. I went with the Mobvoi apps for fitness and sleep tracking as they seem to delve a bit deeper with the info and metrics they provide. Auto sleep tracking seems accurate. Fitness tracking also seems accurate. GPS acquires quickly and tracks any walk / run with ease.

The battery is something which has improved quite noticeably over the previous generation. I have had it for a couple of days and with every new gadget I have been messing with the settings, downloading apps and changing watch faces. Even with the constant messing I got two days out of the battery on smart mode with heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring and raise to wake on. I certainly think I will easily get the three day battery life on smart mode and maybe a bit more. Three days is more than enough especially with the speed the watch charges. If three days is not enough or you cannot get to a charger then the essential mode will kick that out up to 45 days. It also now comes with a backlight in essential mode.

The LTE component of the watch I have not had chance to try as it is on Vodafone only in the UK however my contract is due in a month so will be switching to Vodafone and look forward to going phoneless and just using the watch.

I would most definitely recommend this watch. If you are coming from another manufacturer or upgrading from a previous generation Ticwatch you will not be disappointed.

My watch is paired with my Oneplus 8 pro

I decided to upgrade from my trusty original ticwatch pro to the new 2020 version as my old one was heavily put through its paces and I think it was time for a change.

I stuck with mobvoi for a few reasons one being the dual layer screen which is amazing as it is always on and takes barely and battery life and still manages to track all my health data like its 24 hour heart rate monitor and a pedometer. Another reason I have stuck with Mobvoi is due to their excellent customer service as I have had 2 previous watches from them the Ticwatch pro 2018 and the ticwatch s and if I had any problems with either I was very quickly helped

Once I had opened the box I could instantly tell how much faster this new watch was probably due to its newer Qualcomm 4100 SOC and its doubled RAM. I think this also contributed to a longer battery life than the original which was already great for battery life. With both the original and the new one if the watch dies the LCD mode continues working for many days (up to 45 days!!!)

With the new speed the watch is much much more enjoyable to use as you no longer have to pause between every time you open apps or do anything as everything is opening instantly due to this I will probably use more apps than I ever did with my last watch.

The GPS in the new watch is also much more accurate compared to the old watch and the new altimeter makes this watch perfect for camping and hiking. With the LTE built in it also means you can leave your phone behind and still be connected wherever you are.

The new physical design is much for comfortable than the old one as it is noticeably thinner with a nice changeable strap so you can wear this for any occasion.

The increased water protection means you can go swimming with your watch now and it will not break however I did notice underwater there were a few ghost touches on the screen however when it goes into the LCD screen it is completely fine.

With the new chip comes better power efficiency and now with a larger battery only means one thing incredible battery life which is much better than the last one. This is very good as you don’t need to take the watch off much especially if you use the sleep tracking which is built in.

I only have a few minor complains with this watch is now the charger uses a magnetic clip on which holds itself to the watch however I preferred the old puck but that’s just personal preference. Another problem is the apps with the same health functions however its fine as they all sync together its just that it looks a bit cluttered with so many apps.

In conclusion this new ticwatch pro 2020 is a very nice upgrade from any smartwatch as is a very well rounded watch and one I can see myself wearing for a long time.

A perfect upgrade from the original Ticwatch pro

I have used Huawei and Samsung premium smart watch but the new Ticwatch Pro 3 LTE is a top notch . My first mobvoi watch was ticwatch pro 4G which was another fantastic watch but there have been massive improvement in the latest ticwatch pro 3 LTE. First of all, the battery life is much better than Ticwatch pro 4G.
Thanks to the backlight, you can read the time in dark without changing the face of the watch.
The strap is even more stylish.
The speaker is much louder than other premium watch out there.
The hd heart rate and sleep tracking is really awesome. The TicZen(it measures daily stress level ), TicOxygen( it monitors oxygen levels in the body in 24hrs, it saves me the hassle of putting on oxygen every time I have to my reading ), Tic hearing was another big plus, as I sometimes work in a noisy environment, it monitors level noises around you. The amount I paid for the watch is really worth it compare to other premium watches out there. I have no regret whatsoever for buying another Ticwatch.

Ticwatch pro 3 LTE is a perfect smart watch with all the premium features

I previously had a TicWatch Pro, which I was very happy with. When I heard that Mobvoi had brought out the TicWatch 3 GPS, I thought a lot before buying – I just didn’t feel that the improvement was worth it. Eventually, however, I decided to go ahead, and, WOW.

On paper it is slightly thinner and somewhat lighter that the original Pro, but it feels so different, so much sleeker and lighter, and a much more sophisticated design> The new 4100 chipset works so much better as well, this watch is very responsive, without any of the lag that I sometimes noticed on the original Pro. All the new features seem to work well, and are very accurate. TicZen, TicSleep, and stress and noise detection especially, are great new additions to the included apps, and all the old favourites are still there.
The Amoled screen seems brighter and clearer, and the new backlight on the FSTN display makes that much more useful.
It sits very well on the wrist, with none of the clunkyness that most smartwatches have.
Battery life is great, I charge it every third night, could probably stretch to four if necessary.

All in all, despite my initial reluctance, I am very happy with my purchase, and would recommend it, either as a first smartwatch, or as an upgrade.

As the title says and after some research, this is the best wear OS option you have at this moment. Ive used the original Ticwatch Pro for 2 years now and even though its a great watch still, the new Ticwatch Pro 3 is miles ahead. The new 4100 chip and 1gb of ram makes it fast, there’s no lag anymore and google assistant is finally usable from your watch.
I’ll list a few things that i like:
    – no more lag when you press a button or flick your wrist.
    – the oxygen level sensor. Considering the pandemic context we live in, this a good thing to have.
    – 2, almost 3 full days of battery on normal use (notifications, heart and oxygen sensor regular use, sleep tracking and a few short calls just to test it) Here i should mention the that you need to be in a very quiet enviroment to actually take calls on his small speaker or you wont be able to hear much.
    – the full silicon strap feels way better than the leather + silicon strap they used on the original ticwatch but of course this is a personal preferance.

All things considered, this is a great watch and in my opinion, finally a worthy competitor for the apple watch.

Probably the best wear OS watch atm

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI first found Mobovi, beginning of 2018, when I purchased a then Ticwatch 2. This was a great all-rounder and although it wasn’t Wear OS, it was still great, I later upgraded to the Ticwatch Pro, a great step forward. Also that run Wear OS, and featured Google Pay, and finally we move to the latest and greatest Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS, I Like some reminders for me of the old Ticwatch 2 days, list the application list is icons side by side instead of the wheel of icons around the edge of the screen, I feel the screen seems much larger ,but the watch is much lighter, and somehow less intrusive. (and the voice recorder app that existed on the ticwatch 2 is back! Yeah )

That said this will mainly be a comparison to the Ticwatch Pro 1, that in its day was phenomenal,
This Pro 3 GPS has 1GB of RAM (compared to 512MB)
Has the latest Qualcomm 4100 chipset, (compared to 2100)
Had 8GB Memory (compared to 4GB)
The Dual screen technology on these devices is great, I like the pro 3 GPS as this now also has a back light, which was sorely missing on the earlier versions.
For those who don’t know what this offers, it allows two screens to be layered on top of each other. the LCD screen behind the AMOLED screen, so when the AMOLED screen is off, the basics of time, heart rate, battery activity and such are still shown. They moved the screen around a bit, but basically, it’s the same, but you get a second’s counter too now.

With this screen technology it allows for the watch to achieve up to 45 days in just the simple (essential mode) but even with everything turned on, I can still achieve around 3 to 4 days, with the right clock face, and gestures set correctly, I’d generally charge every other day.
If wearing for 24 hours a day, if your using for TicSleep, then I’d Generally charge in the morning whilst I’m in the shower.

Mobvoi have a large selection of apps, I personally prefer them, as I’ve watched some of them evolve over the various different watches I’ve owned.

    Starting with Ticsleep.
Setup Ticsleep like any other app on your watch, give it some basic information about when to expect you to sleep and it will track sleep patterns and sleep stages, for example, Awake, REM, Light Sleep and then suggest how good this sleep was. it will also track your heart rate over the night with full graphs during the night, I found it interesting to see the kind of sleep I was having, you can also if you want setup the sleep alarm and smart wake up to get you up when it’s the right time for you, based on the type of sleep your having.

    Ticzen,
I like the idea of this app in a modern world, (especially currently were everyone is stressed for obvious reasons in 2020!) it’s a very interesting way to see all these little points on the graph for the day, and try to correlate them to things that have happened during the day, let’s see how this progresses but great ideas, you can set this to monitor every 30 minutes and build a picture of your day, you can then see all this data in the companion app on your mobile.

    TicPluse (HR Monitoring,)
The Tic Pro 3 GPS has a better heart rate monitoring system, I again, loved the idea of knowing how my body is working, so when I go out walking or do exercises I like to watch what’s happening. Also as mentioned it will track your heart rate all day and all night if you wish, this will allow you to build up graphic data to look back at, this moves nicely on too,

    TicHealth,
This app will monitor your Steps, track exercise, active hours, and calories burned, Heart rates, O2 saturation levels, and goals your striving to achieve, everything in one place, similar to the companion app, You can set the app to nag you, so you keep moving, I find it helpful as being sat at a desk all day, you can forget to move sometimes.

    TicExcerise,
TicExercise has moved on lots over the years too,
It can track outdoor runs with GPS and Heart rate monitoring, Walking with the same information, Outdoor Cycling with GPS heart rate, altimeter, in door cycling with Heart rate, Real Pool swim (I’ve never tried this though as I don’t want to damage the watch ), others include Rowing Elliptical and Yoga.
Some will simply track your heart rate and activity time during indoor events, but the data is still useful to see, and it keeps all the information in one place, you can also enable TicMotion, which will attempt to identify when you are doing exercise, automatically instead of you telling the watch the type of activity you’re doing.

    TicOxygen,
As mentioned earlier this app monitors your oxygen saturation levels and records them, you can set the system to monitor this every hour for you if you wish, for those who don’t know the measurement is a number between 0 and 100, ideally it should be as close to 100 as possible, mine generally sits around 99.

    TicBreath,
Is essentially breathing exercises to, the watch vibrates starting fast then slows, if you read the instructions on screen to breath in, then exhale, follow this for the length of the exercise and at the end it’ll Give you your heart rate.
Good breathing can really make a difference to your heart rate, when I cycle if my breathing is out my heart rate is 20-30 beats harder than It needs to be, so it pays off to do breathing exercises.

    TicHearing,
This app give you guidance on what noise is acceptable, and has a visual traffic light system a long with a DB warning numbers, the idea being if we reduce the amount of background noise in our life’s it will help our mental wellbeing, you can leave the app running to get ideas of your surroundings..

moving on to the Companion app on the Phone,
This has a great way to show you all the information for that day, as an overview.
It works in conjunction with the Wear OS app that you must also setup, when you First configure the Watch.

Not a Tic App, but Google Pay, is a very useful app to setup, you’ll also have to have a lock mechanism setup on your watch, which is clever, and only kicks in when you remove your watch from your wrist, for example a great little feature to stop the missus buying a sneaky coffee with your watch when she nips out

Watch face wise I use Watch Maker with the watch, which works well, remember I said earlier if you stick with inbuilt watch faces and tweak the Gestures on the watch you can get extra battery life from the watch in smart mode, its about finding what’s best for you.

This model is much faster than the previous versions, very speedy OTB, and I’d also recommend going to the forums and registering and asking questions, they are friendly support people, and although I’ve only ever really used support for my old Ticwatch 2, they did respond with useful and helpful advice.

Probably one of the most important things which I’ve left until last is that the watch is much lighter than the previous versions. it also seems to be closer to your wrist, and when sleeping with it on, its less noticeable, I mean you get used to these things regardless but the first night was like I’d forgot to put it on, in comparison, the straps are good quality OTB starter straps, I tend to buy a few different straps for different occasions, this can make the watch sporty or formal in this way.
The charging connector is smaller than the disc version previously used but works just the same.

I hope you found my review useful, and if it helps one person make an informed decision then great.

    Best ticwatch pro to date!

After owning the previous rendition, the TicWatch Pro, the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS is an improvement in every area. The smaller more sleek design, the lengthened battery life and the improved user interface all create a better smartwatch. The longer battery life coupled with one of the watches best features, the dual display, allows for use for 2-3 days even when using background heart rate monitoring. Compared to the previous iteration the Pro 3 is much much faster, the new snapdragon wear allows for instantaneous loading of all features with smooth transitions as you navigate menus. The revamped design on both the AMOLED screen and the low power consumption screen allow for a much more user friendly experience, with easier to navigate menus and much more information provided without requiring to turn the low power screen off.

A new feature of this smart watch which I was most keen to try was, TicSleep. The in built sleep tracking app performed much better than an app I already have installed on my iPhone. It also does not require the user to activate the feature each night, and also measures additional variables such as blood oxygen and heart rate. It also impacts the battery to a much lesser extent then you would expect, after using for a night it does not need recharging. TicHearing and TicZen are two other new in built apps which I did not realize their usefulness until I tried it. They monitor ambient noise, highlighting when you are in environments which are at harmful decibels, and your stress levels respectively.

All in all, the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS is an amazing smartwatch to own. If you have a previous TicWatch, this still has all the great features from before and more and better. If you have a different smartwatch or are looking to get your first, I would highly recommended the Pro 3!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been using smart watches for a long time, and the TicWatch Pro 3 takes the Wear OS to a whole new level.

Thanks to the Snapdragon 4100 CPU, this watch is faster, smoother, and more stable than any Wear OS watch before it. The dual display design is also awesome, giving the watch a kind of “real watch” look while it’s idle, only to have it spring to life when you interact with it. The OLED screen is bright, sharp and easy to see in direct sunlight.

Battery life is insane! They quote 3 days, and that’s with all sensors active. That’s true, but what I’ve found is that if you’re not having a work out, and you’re not using it to listen to music and stuff like that, it’s actually closer to 4 days.

The sensors are where I had a little bit of difficulty. Heart rate and blood oxygen would sometimes struggle to pick up, showing a message saying that it couldn’t be detected and to try again. Other times it worked perfectly though. Do to this, and a fault I had with one of the buttons, I returned the watch, however I fully intend on buying the TicWatch Pro 3 again, but I’m waiting a little while in the hopes that software updates will rollout to fix the issue I had with sensors being intermittent. I read online already that the heart rate monitoring was already updated and improved, so that’s good.

I would have gave this 5 starts if it wasn’t for the couple of issues I had, it’s pretty much perfect in other ways. I’m fairly confident that the issues I had were software based, and will be fixed, and the button issue was a simple fault with my watch, as my friend has the same watch and doesn’t have that issue. Once I get the watch again, I’ll be updating My review to reflect the new watch.

So firstly I decided to upgrade from the Original TicWatch Pro I have had this one for just over a year and thought I would treat myself with some money saved from lockdown. I am glad I did. When I read the description I thought how could there be +85% CPU Speed and less power consumption. But this is lightning fast.

I am now on day 4 since the first full charge and it’s still performing fantastically at 6% battery life. I have been giving it some hammer for the last 4 days too so I could see how quickly the battery dies but I’m amazed. The trusty old TicWatch Pro would do me well for a full day of activity tracking (long walks all tracked and a busy phone ~100’s of notifications every day) but would need charging every night. The TicWatch Pro 3 GPS though 4 FOUR! whole days before needing a recharge. WOW!

I did my first run with it on night 2, just the watch on me no phone or anything else. The GPS was picked up within seconds and tracked my whole run exactly to the spot (I did some strange things to test this out lol!) On the previous smartwatch it would sometimes take upto 3 minutes to get a GPS signal so this is a huge improvement.

I have mine paired to an Android phone, it’s a OnePlus 7 Pro to be exact which with it not being a hugely popular brand sometimes has issues working with our hardware but there was no pairing or connection issues at all with the TicWatch Pro 3.

I can’t quite believe how much thinner this model is too compared to the older one. It’s a much lighter and less bulky fit and seems to sit better on my wrist, and feels overall more comfortable. The strap is not as thick as the previous model too but still feels very strong and the orange stitching detail finishes it off nicely.

The dual screen was the one of the main reasons why I love the TicWatch series. The “Essential” mode LCD helps the battery life while still making the watch fully functional on a basic level. Then when required one ta or twist of the wrist and you are in “Smart” mode with a full AMOLED colour screen that is clearly visible in either bright sunlight or pitch darkness thanks to the ambient light sensor.

I am excited to try out the long awaited Sleep tracking that is now built into this model. I will be giving this a go, it’s just I got used to having to charge my old Smart Watch each night. I am still in the habit of removing it before bed.

The side buttons are nicer too and more compact, there’s no accidental pressing of them by moving your wrist in a strange way. The blood oxygen sensor is a very helpful tool especially in the current situation.

Overall my advice to you should you be considering buying a Tic Watch Pro 3 GPS. do it! You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic! Excellent Battery Life! Much faster than the previous version. Spot on GPS!

Upgrade from the Pro to this – and so glad I did – it feels a lot smaller on the wrist but is the same screen size – I’m a heavy battery user but get 2 days using it do control my insulin pump – checks and corrects every 5 minutes – old watch didn’t last 24 hours – and I’m using the sleep tracker now – have checked the results against proper blood oxygen and pulse and they are spot on – shows my treatment for sleep apnea is working well

Great battery life, looks great and the health apps are spot o

This is the first wear OS watch I’ve tried that doesn’t lag or stutter. It’s really fast and fluid. When I’ve tried wear OS in the past it’s always stopped working or took ages to do certain things like open Google assistant but that hasn’t happened on this watch. I don’t know if it’s the new Snapdragon 4100 or the 1Gb RAM (as other wear OS watches I’ve tried have only had 512Mb RAM) but it’s the best wear OS watch I’ve tried.

Just prior to getting this watch I’ve been wearing the Samsung galaxy active watch 2. My biggest gripe with the watch active 2 was the battery life. I was lucky to get 2 days out of the battery. The battery on the TicWatch Pro 3 is a lot better. In full smart mode with all the features turned on I’m getting 3 days out of it. This is probably partly down to the dual screens. The LCD screen is like a lock screen. I had the original TicWatch Pro which had this as well which was great but I found that when it was dark I couldn’t see the LCD screen. Mobvoi have added a back light that lights the LCD screen when you lift the watch up to see the time. It’s a minor change but it makes a huge difference. Something else I like about the dual screen is that you can change the length of time before the LCD screen kicks back in. The normal timeout is 5 seconds but you can change this up to 15 seconds.

The watch is really comfortable to wear. The 22mm band is silicone but looks like leather. It’s really stretchy and I don’t really feel the watch while wearing it. I like the look of the watch as well. It has a more classic look which suits me as I work in an office so it looks a bit more professional. It’s got a big AMOLED screen which is great for scrolling and viewing.

Mobvoi have pre-installed a series of apps which are called TicZen, TicSleep, TicExercise, TicBreathe etc. I had fun playing around with these apps. The TicBreathe has a 1 minute breathing setting. I tried it out and you are concentrating on the instructions so much it actually does help you slow down and relax. I’ll be using this more often. There’s also a voicememo app built into the watch which I’ve found quite useful. I’ve got a terrible memory so if I’ve just spoken to someone and don’t have a pen and paper handy or my phone I can use the voicememo app to record something before I forget. The only thing I couldn’t get working was the voice command for the Google Assistant. I contacted Mobvoi and they said that this is a Google issue and there should be an update by the end of the year. You can still use the Google Assistant by long pressing the top button or swiping right and clicking the microphone.

But apart from all that, one of the best things I love about this watch is it supports Google Pay! Over the last few years I’ve had Garmin’s with Garmin pay and Samsung’s with Samsung pay but neither of these support any of the banks I bank with. Google Pay is the only one which supports my banks. I have my debit card and one of my credit cards registered on my watch. It’s great. So easy to use and switch between the cards.

I’ve wore both the TicWatch Pro 3 and my Samsung galaxy watch active 2 for the last few days and the TicWatch Pro 3 is the one that I have been going to to check the time, check a message, use Google Pay etc. Definitely recommend this watch to anyone looking for a smartwatch alternative to the Apple or Samsung watches with a cheaper price tag to boot!

    Loving the Snapdragon 4100!

I have used Samsung Tizen watches a this while, they have been really good with their build quality and software. But it missed the Google apps and mainly Google Assistant.
But this one looks great and has Google apps built in.
This looks beautiful and sleek than the older Ticwatches.
I loved how snappier it is when asking Google Assistant anything or running Google maps on the device.
The Mobvoi health tracking is more detailed than what I found on Samsung and Apple watches and their supporting apps.
This missed out on ECG tracking and Fall detection but otherwise everything is upto date and sometimes even much better.
The sleep tracking is very detailed and excellent and one of the best I have ever seen.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a Wear OS watch.

    Part 1 – I say part 1, because I’ve only had it 4 days, but I thought I’d give a first impression.

I had the original Tic Watch Pro, which was replaced with a Tic Watch Pro2020, now this. The first two from the outside were identical, the 3 however looks sleeker, thinner and feels lighter. I know that on paper some of this is factually correct, but it feels and looks it more than the figures state.

I personally find that the watch feels more comfortable than the previous versions too. They weren’t uncomfortable, this just seems less of a presence.

Battery wise, I’ve everything turned on, GPS, heart rate, blood oxygen etc, I put it on when it arrived Monday morning (without charging), since then I have charged it once, for less than a full charge and it’s at 46%.

I haven’t rated sleep, because I haven’t looked at it yet.

I do like the back light that has been added to the basic screen, being able to view the time in the dark without the full screen function coming on is great.

The performance increase over the previous versions is huge, the memory increase from the original from the 2020 made a lot of difference, but the increase of the processor takes it a massive step further forward.

I think my only niggle would be the charger, I think I prefer the full base charger of the previous model rather than the small charger of the new model which leaves the watch not sitting flat – but I would say that is entirely a personal preference, and it is something you use so little in the interaction of the watch it doesn’t matter.

    Part 2 – after a month
Well having been wearing the watch constantly since purchase I stand by everything I said before. I still don’t know why, but it still feels sleeker and more comfortable than the previous version. I now have everything other than noise monitoring turned on, and the battery life is still pretty much 3 days of smart mode, and that includes 5 miles of dog walking a day with the route being recorded via GPS.

I can’t comment on the battery life when in the battery saving mode, it’s only been to that state once. I think it’s a great feature to have, but I’ve not been in a situation to need it.

I maybe don’t install as many apps as some might on their watch, but the speed of the watch is street ahead of the previous. Some professional reviews suggested that the memory installed should have been larger, I’m not seeing any issues.

Contactless payment works as smooth as you like, I have 3 cards registered on the watch, as I did on the previous model. Swapping between them is a much faster smoother process than it used to be, it could take a noticeable time previously, which felt even longer if you were stood as the till with other behind you!

Worst thing about this watch… is seeing the previous model sat on the desk unused!

This is the second ticwatch I have purchased I own a ticwatch pro that I have owned since 2018 I have put up some pics of both to show the difference first of the strap is very comfortable and feels if I have no watch on it is slimmer and so much lighter the functions are the same so I found it easy to use but would say it is so much smoother for scrolling and the battery last a lot longer up to 4 day I don’t tend to wear a watch to bed but wanted to try the sleep tracking and was very surprised with the info I got e.g how much deep sleep ,light and rem this watch is a big upgrade by mobvoi I would recommend this watch i would give it 5 out of 5

This is a fantastic watch 5 stars

Had my Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS for a while now and what can I say. Outstanding battery life, aesthetically pleasing design, Wear OS refined by Mobvoi for better usability, premium construction.
I have owned many smartwatches in the past but this is now my daily driver. The dual layer LCD and OLED screen extend the battery life to almost 4 days!!. This is the feature that breathes new usability into the Wear OS platform. I no longer run the risk of wearing a watch that won’t even tell the time because of the battery running out. At the risk of sounding a bit of a fanboy this watch is so feature packed I don’t know where to start, it ticks all the boxes for me. HR monitoring, Blood SPO2, GPS tracking, google assistant, microphone and speaker, military standard durability, great build quality etc, etc etc.
If you can, buy one. I thoroughly recommend.

Best wear OS watch on the marke

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI have been using a TicWatch since the early days when they were a kickstarter back in 2018. I am making the upgrade from the TicWatch pro 4G/LTE to the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS that came out just a few weeks ago.

    Form Factor:
When you look at both watches separately from a distance the Pro 3 GPS looks smaller, thinner and more casual professional, the Pro 4G/LTE looks more beefy, sporty and weighty.
But when it comes down to it, the Pro 3 GPS is actually a little wider and it is barely thinner if at all.

I would argue the biggest difference in the watches is the weight, when you look at the numbers you might say “as if I will feel that minute difference” but I can honestly say you do! At the time of writing, I have been wearing both watches at the same time (one on each wrist) and the Pro 3 GPS is lighter and more comfy. I think the strap also helps, it’s flexible and more comfy to wear.

One part of the watch I did not expect to really like is the lower bezels which makes it much easier to press buttons and options closer to the edge of the screen. A very welcome improvement.

So, if you are going for the form factor there is little difference, apart from the Pro 3 GPS easier-to-press edge icons, having a slightly more business casual look (the numbers on the rim are not as striking) and a slightly less sporty/bulky look.

    The screen:
I always thought the Pro 4G/LTE had an awesome screen but I am blown away by the crisp high contrast bright OLED of the Pro 3 GPS. I am also sure that having OLED helps increase battery life due to OLED screens not powering the parts of the screen that are black. Another advantage to the OLED screen is that the watch face contracts are more life like. So another big win for the Pro 3 GPS. My only fear here is OLEDs one big flaw; burn in. Particularly with a mainly static watchface you may start to see burn in, however turning off the ‘always on’ display and choosing dynamic watchfaces will likely help to avoid this.

    Battery life:
Ok so here is where the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS stands out from all the other Wear OS watches. I am impressed. Very impressed. I thought the 4G/LTE watch battery life was great and I thought, “how much better can it be”. I mean as long as it lasts 12 hours you can charge it at night and it’s not an issue. Well I have been PUSHING this Pro 3 GPS to discharge, and the whole 48 hours I have owned the watch I have only charged it once (when I first got it). As I look down at it right now it’s on 10% still.
Just for comparison here is what I did on both watches 4G/LTE and Pro 3 GPS:
Both charged at the same time and one on each arm:

    – Took both watches off charge at 8:30am
    – Entered each app once (to compare speed of use)
    – Had them on the whole day at work with HR tracking, yes I did get strange looks at work.
    – During my work day I used my watch as a 2 step authenticator so took turns to use both.
    – Went for an evening run and tracked on both TicFit and Google Fit apps, on both watches.
    – This is when the 4G/LTE watch died, at around 7pm, at which point the Pro 3 GPS was at wait for it.75%!!
    – I wore the Pro 3 GPS watch (so didn’t charge it) and tracked my night’s sleep. This also enables HR tracking while sleep monitoring is on.
    – The next day I went on to download all my watch apps and install them, yes Google Music is no longer available.
    – Added yet more watch faces to try out
    – Checked my oxygen, pulse and stress levels
    – Set up Google Pay

Now, here I am 2 days after getting the watch and not holding back on using the device to its fullest and at 10pm I still have 10% battery life.

If used with “normal” usage, i.e. not installing a load of apps, faces, and extra tracking, then I reckon it would easily last yet another day. If you disable 24 hours pulse, stress, noise and oxygen levels it would probably last even longer still.

I am pretty confident this is down to two things: the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor and I am so glad they moved to it because it shows! And Bluetooth 5 which has its lower battery consumption advantages.

    General usage:
One of the first things I noticed is the responsiveness, using the UI feels as smooth as slicing butter with a hot knife. One annoyance I had with the 4G/LTE was how long it would take to bring up Google Pay in a shop, or the time it took to change cards. With Pro 3 GPS this only takes half the time.

The other thing I also noticed were the well thought out interface improvements. The UI explains the impact and consequences of changing any features. For example, turning on the ‘always on’ screen, it will inform you that this will affect battery life. Turning on the wifi will not only tell you that it will affect battery life but it also explains that Wifi is not needed with Bluetooth 5 as bluetooth has a lower battery consumption and the watch will intelligently switch on wifi if bluetooth is out of range. I really liked this, explaining these things to the user means as you configure your watch you can make informed decisions.

How you use your watch and what settings you end up with are dependent on how you interact with it and your priorities. There will be a month or so of tweaking settings to your liking to get the perfect balance of battery life and functionality, which leads me to my final section on integration.

    Integrations:
Let me start with the Mobvoi app, I am going to be brutally honest, I am not a fan of it at all.
It has never been able to show me battery life on the watch it just shows ‘–%’. It sporadically connects to the watch, the menu system is not intuitive, and it shows things like Routine which does not work with connected devices so just adds further confusion. Clicking the help button on my device in the app takes me to an embedded Chinese website. Just to add to the annoyance, all the other menu items are just a hosting spot for Mobvoi advertising. I have already bought my device Mobvoi

The health data visualisation is not very helpful; it’s a list of numbers on a page, no ability to show graphs of changes, all time highs or badges for most steps in a day etc and there is no assistance in providing meaning to the number it is showing.

So I don’t really want to use the app, which is fine, let’s use a different app like Google Fit, and how awesome would it be to get my sleep, oxygen, steps and tracked runs in Google Fit! Nope. Sorry. Only steps are synced. Even though I know Google has the API and integrations for sleep and oxygen as I sync it with my Withings Go. My next thought was ok lets see if it syncs with Nokia’s Health Mate (where I keep my blood pressure and weight) but also a big nope. It only has step data integration into Runkeeper, Strava and Google Fit and who knows what data actually syncs with the other health services.

The only way around this would be to ensure you use the Wear OS app for the health service on the watch itself and that is if the Wear OS app supports tracking for it (Google Fit does not have sleep or oxigen tracking on Wear OS).

TLDR; The Pro 3 GPS is a great watch with excellent battery life, a beautiful aesthetic compared to its predecessors, and a mountain of new features. Most of these pros are down to the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor. Just a shame about the app and integration. Still, best TicWatch yet!

What can I say. Well done guys a great uplift to the android wear os platform.. cpu is good, battery life is way better than any android watches (and I’ve had a few).. if you purchase you will not be disappointed… My only grumble… Charging the watch should have been wireless and the charge cable that comes with the unit ain’t great. It does it’s purpose, but would have completed the product with wireless charging. .

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis watch is a real improvement on my previous TicWatch E. For a start the battery lasts over 2 days, so I do not need to charge it every night (of course, this must depend on the Apps that are running).
The display(s) are clear, although the black and white default low-power LCD is a bit “faint”. The heart-rate monitor and blood-oxygen detectors seem to be accurate. It’s a bit irritating that if you are running an app that uses the main colour display, the watch will default back to the b-w display and you need to keep waking up the watch to see what’s going on. I imagine this would be fixed by choosing the “Always 0n” option for the main display, but then battery consumption would increase.
Integration with “Wear” is as good as you would expect, although as far as I can see “Wear” does not support the Blood-Oxygen Monitor feature (You need to use the Tic App for this).
The Watch seems quite elegant to me and is a lot less chunky than my previous TicWatch.
Overall I really like the Watch, but it is perhaps a little expensive compared to other “non-Wear” products, but I really wanted access to the “Wear” app portfolio.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have bought the smartwatch 3 weeks ago and I have now tried it for more than two weeks for all my activities. I am using the smartwatch all day long and now, I have started to wear in the night to use the new feature to monitor the sleep.
The design is very beautiful and in my opinion is very elegant, but I consider it more suitable for a man rather than a woman. It’s also lighter and thinner compared with the competitors.
The display is one of the killer features because it uses 2 displays, the first one shows just the time, battery, and steps, and when you are in training mode, it shows the information like time of exercise and cardio ratio. Additionally, the display has a backlight that turns on automatically when you move the wrist to watch the time. The second display is Amoled and it has an adaptive brightness that makes usable in any environment and saves the battery.
The TicWatch Pro 3 GPS is very fast in every situation and the performance is very good and doesn’t impact the battery. With my usage, typically 10k steps including 40 mins of a heavy workout, many notifications, and 3 calls per day, I usually recharge after 2/3 days.
The watch includes the NFC and google pay and works pretty well when I get the metro and the GPS is really fast to connect and to track my sports activity.
In the beginning, I have noticed some problems in activating the LCD display but after I received a few updates I think has been resolved.
The only feature that I miss at the moment is the wireless charging because it uses a small magnetic pin that I need to carry over when I am traveling.
I really recommend buying this smartwatch.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have come to this Ticwatch Pro 3 from the original Ticwatch Pro and before I go any further the update in responsiveness is worth upgrading for. The better processor and small upgrade to Ram means this actually does what you want when you want.

    So the features first.

They have packed in all the fitness and health tracking I needed and some I never even thought I needed, these all now work together with a breathing app to help if stressed. Sleep tracking works very well with no need to press any buttons, just allow app and then once you wake it will have tracked and you can access within the mobvoi app on your phone. In a similar vein both heart rate, which I compared manually and blood oxygen are great to know even if exercise is not your reason for owning a smartwatch.
In terms of going for a run which is my main exercise the old Ticwatch would think about starting after my run had started and even then was not responsive to give me real time updates. The new Pro 3 starts tracking automatically and gives clear heart rate and distance etc on screen without need to wake watch. It even coaches you through your exercise regime. Notifications appear as they do on previous watches with a slide up but they are smooth, no lag or stutter and they open when tapped once.

    Battery

I travel for work and often have a short stay of one or two nights, finally I don’t need a charger, with everything tracking me 24hrs I get 3 or 4 days between charges so twice a week charging for an hour max each time works for me. Should you get too a low power state the watch will still tell time, heart rate, date etc

    Design

The strap looks neat enough with its faux stitching and is suitable for exercise including swimming but the real star is how much slimmer it looks. It is only a fraction smaller but the tweaked design gives it a much lower profile. Still a large watch but when you are looking at a screen on your wrist there is only so small you can go and be usable. The two buttons sit proud of body and are easy to access without looking and having a dedicated exercise button that launces straight into a choice of exercises was great. I believe this button can be set for whatever you need I had it set as google pay on my previous watch.

    Overall
If you are thinking of buying an android smartwatch you will find no issues with the Ticwatch Pro 3 and it does exactly what you want when you want. This doesn’t sound like much but you just want your watch to work and be there to keep you updated without checking your phone and the Ticwatch Pro 3 does all this and more.

    Finally a speedy smartwatch

I really love this watch , faster than the 4G LTE, the battery life lasts longer I’ve used it no stop for 3 days almost with different apps no need charging, regarding the accuracy it’s amazing has got 4 sensors which helps to be more accurate , more watch faces which is good, the design of the strap is amazing with orange Stitches, compare to my 4G LTE it’s bit thinner ,lighter .
    But worth every penny.

Amazing watch excellent quality worth all the money

A breath of fresh air to Wear OS, although the Ticwatch Pro 2020 was a great watch I went out on a limb to upgrade to the latest Ticwatch Pro 3, one of my best decisions of 2020.
The design is elegant yet robust with is lighter frame & sleek look.
The dual display now has a blacklight (with the right settings) which is now more functional meanwhile more efficient for battery consumption.
No need to recharge every night as I’ve managed to get 3 days of use with all sensors turned on (exercise, sleep,
blood CO2 & heart rate tracking, pedometer plus more).
    The band is more comfortable.
This watch makes Wear OS a smooth stutter free experience with its new Snapdragon 4100.
I’m extremely glad with my purchase & would recommend to anyone looking for an upgrade or wanting the best Wear OS smartwatch available.

A worthwhile upgrade to ANY Wear OS Smartwatch currently on the marke

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI purchased the TicWatch Pro 3 off the back of already owning the TicWatch Pro 2020, which is a superb device. As soon as the TicWatch Pro 3 came out, I knew I wanted one and I’m glad I bought it.

    Packaging
Outwardly, the packaging of the watch was very similar to the Pro 2020 version, a high-quality box containing the watch, instructions and charger, all packaged with care to ensure a flawless product on delivery.

    Watch Design
This is a beautiful and surprisingly light smartwatch. I was expecting the design and feel to be very similar to the Pro 2020, but it is MUCH lighter and more comfortable. The materials of the watch feel durable and are attractive.
The black bezel has a nice reflective quality, and numbers etched on it in 5-minute intervals. The bezel does not rotate, but this is expected.
The side buttons both feel robust and are unobtrusive even when bending the wrist (if you wear it on your left wrist like I do, some watch buttons can get pressed when bending the wrist)
The watch is thinner than the Pro 2020 model by around 2-3mm, and weighs 17g less (yes, I weighed them, see pics!)

    Strap
The supplied strap is a 22mm quick-release band, which appears to be made from silicone, but has an attractive red stitch pattern which gives the impression of a leather strap. The benefit of it being silicone is all down to comfort, and this strap is incredibly smooth and comfortable.

    Display
This is where the Ticwatch really shines. Using the clever 1.4″ dual display, the majority of the time the watch will be using the low-power always-on LCD screen. This screen shows the essential information like Time, Date, Step count, and battery. By either clicking a button, or tilting your wrist, this activates the AMOLED display which then allows the full smart watch functionality, with responsive touch screen and a host of apps at your disposal.
The LCD display is great for viewing in light areas, and is perfectly readable in direct sunlight, which a lot of smart watches cannot do. The LCD also seems to include a backlight mode, which the previous model did not, this makes it easier to read the LCD in darker areas.
The full AMOLED display is bright and vibrant with excellent viewing angles, and dark blacks.

    Apps
Most of the apps are fairly standard from a Google Watch OS standpoint. All the regulars are there like Google Fit, Phone, Memo, Calc, Alarm, Stopwatch/Timer, Weather etc. With the benefit of access to the Google Play store to download thousands of other apps.
My most used apps such as Google Keep, Strava, Spotify all worked flawlessly.
Another big plus is Google Pay, which is fully supported on this watch. I programmed the bottom hardware button to be a single press to Google Pay (though by default the double click also does this), and I have made numerous purchases using it, as it is SO convenient. In case you’re worried about security, if using Google Pay you must set up a PIN or pattern, which activates every time you put on the watch. Therefore, if the watch was taken from you, Google Pay would not function without it.
I was interested in trying out the Tic built in apps, and was pleasantly surprised by them:
    * I have TicSleep monitoring my sleep, as the watch is comfortable enough to wear to bed (something the Pro 2020 model was not IMO).
    * I’ve used TicZen and TicBreath to de-stress which is something I was already doing using a mindfulness app on my phone, but now integrated into the watch is convenient and easy to use.
    * TicHearing has been useful to show just how loud my kids are shouting when playing Fortnite and Rocket League — over 100dB at times!
    * TicPulse is used to monitor my heart rate, which I have set to do 24/7 monitoring. Accuracy seems consistent with the Pro 2020.
    * TicOxygen measures blood oxygen levels. I also have this running 24/7.
    * TicExercise has all the modes you would expect from an exercise tracking app — Run, Walk, Treadmill, Cycling, Freestyle, and many more including Swimming due to the IP68 water resistant rating. It can also upload to Strava, which is my exercise hub of choice.
    * All of this gets pulled into the TicHealth app which gives a nice overview of all the above functions.

    TouchScreen and Hardware
The screen is responsive to touch, easily as responsive as the Pro 2020 and perhaps feels smoother to touch, though this could just be due to the snapper hardware. One of the main selling points of this watch is that it uses the brand-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 platform, which is a powerful applications processor and ultra-low power co-processor. This should have significant improvements in terms of battery life, and performance.

    Battery Life
I was pleased to see that the battery life of this new model was as good as if not better than the previous one, even when I was using the watch with so many features running, such as the 24/7hr and blood oxygen, and also wearing it to monitor sleep. From first charge, I was able to eek out 2.5 days, including 2 nights. I haven’t used it in essential mode, which shuts down all smart performance, limits you to the LCD screen and only monitors steps, but this mode should allow up to 45 days!

    UI
The UI on this feels buttery smooth, with no lag that I can detect. All touches are recognised, and no delays between presses and apps opening.

    Charging
Gone is the older magnetic charging base, and this includes a much more welcome magnetic charging clip. It clicks into place effortlessly, and allows the watch to sit at a slight angle, which would be nice for a bedside if you’re not wearing it to bed along with TicSleep :-p

    Conclusion
So in conclusion, this is a superb and very comfortable smartwatch that I can see myself wearing for years to come!

Excellent performing and very comfortable Smartwatch

I’m a confirmed Ticwatch and Wear OS fan. I already have a Ticwatch Pro LTE and had to order a new Ticwatch 3 GPS on the day it was released – so I watched the Mobvoi countdown to launch with interest!

After charging for a couple of hours I tried on my new watch, it fits really well on my wrist and is certainly extremely light and super comfortable.

As an aside, the new charging cable has a lovely rubberised feel and finish, it locks straight onto the watch magnetically and is not going to drop off in a hurry – I like the design, it’s really well thought out.

The first differences I noticed over my Ticwatch Pro LTE are the size, weight and general comfort. I have always been really happy with the LTE in terms of comfort but the Pro 3 just looks and feels that little bit nicer on my wrist. It is a large watch but that is exactly the style I prefer and of course it provides a decent amount of screen real-estate to play with. Oh and I love the new strap too, very comfortable and it looks great!

I realised that the extra straps I bought previously to use with my Ticwatch Pro LTE also fit the new Pro 3 so if I fancy a leather strap or a sports silicone look to change the style a little it only takes seconds to swap over!

In terms of setup, this is straightforward and after having undertaken this process using the WearOS companion App on my trusty Samsung Note it didn’t take too long at all to get going.

I happily spent some time playing with the settings between the phone App and on screen on the watch itself to get things to my normal day to day operating point.

I have played with a few of the standard watch faces and of course loaded some new ones too, and have settled on the Age Of Blood face for now, though I do tend to change faces regularly just to mix it up a little.

Given the current world situation I tend to use contactless payment for most things and rather than use my phone or credit card it is great to use my Ticwatch to pay. A quick double press on the lower of the two buttons and GooglePay is ready to use. I have had a number of admiring comments from people in shops when they see me pay using my watch and ask what it is.

In terms of performance this watch is very responsive, I hadn’t really noticed any performance issues with my Pro LTE but the new Pro 3 has definitely moved things up to another level – faster is always better in my book!

Battery life is superb, I am used to charging a smart watch every day but now I can easily go on for 3 days (possibly more) based on my normal usage profile – and I do have everything turned on – all sensors, always on screen, daily fitness tracking at the gym etc.

And that’s another thing, I haven’t used sleep tracking in the past (mainly because I had to charge my smart watches every day), but now with the extended battery life I can track and monitor my sleep patterns and whilst this might not be critical for everyone (including myself), it is interesting to review and monitor over time.

TicHearing is a function that I didn’t think I would use but in fact I do spend time in computer comms rooms and whilst I realised they are quite noisy, I hadn’t realised quite how noisy until I monitored using this App on my watch – 90dB – time for earplugs I think!

TicZen is another app I have played with, apparently I am ‘Relaxed’ and mainly exhibit low and medium stress – it will be interesting to see how this changes when work commitments ramp up

SpO2 is interesting to monitor – especially as I have recently been given inhalers by my GP to help with breathlessness when exercising (exercise induced asthma) – watching my oxygen levels I see that I am in the normal range for oxygen saturation all of the time at the moment.

I haven’t had a chance to try my new watch in the swimming pool yet so I can’t comment on swim tracking, if I get a chance to try this function I will pop back and update my review.

The dual display technology is great, and if I am going to go away and not have decent charging facilities (I am thinking family camping holidays etc) then switching to Essential Mode should give me potentially weeks of use even with step counting and some of the multitude of sensors in play, oh and the new backlight function in essential mode makes it all the more readable in very light (or very dark!) environments. That said I love the AMOLED screen and tend to use my watch in always on mode to show off my watch face of choice to the world!

Do I love my new watch? Yes!
Would I buy it again? Yes!
    Should you buy one? Definitely!

    Fantastic New Wear OS Watch

Golden Review Award: 86 From Our UsersI have it paired with a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.

I have bought this watch as an upgrade from the 2018 Ticwatch Pro 1. A watch I loved, but which suffered from lagginess. I am sticking with Mobvoi because only they have the duel screen tech.

For those who don’t know, Mobvoi’s special party trick is a ye-olde style black and white LCD panel OVER a full hi-res AMOLED colour display. This allows the best of both worlds – a always-on display when using it as just a basic watch, but the full experience when using it for anything “smart” such as GPS navigation or message handling.

This hugely increases battery life, and gets rid of the annoying delay while the screen comes on. It also allows you to subtly check the time without it being obvious to those you are with!

First impressions on opening the box are good – the watch is well presented and safely packaged. It arrived quicker than promised by Amazon (by 24 hours).

When I turned it on, the out of the box experience was /much/ better than the previous watch. The old one was slow from the get-go (especially since it had a bunch of updates to do). The new one merrily installed the updates in the background, while still being snappier than the old one while idle.

They have improved the duel tech screen, which now shows seconds as well as the time/date, and they have added a backlight for the LCD mode (which activates automatically on wrist up gesture).

The whole UI is much snappier than before – the new watch is apparently the first one with the new Qualcomm 4100 SOC, which is made using a more efficient fabrication process (smaller transistors, which means faster and less power hungry), and compared to my previous watch, they have doubled the ram (1Gb vs. 512Mb), and it shows.

Navigating through the OS is no longer a case of tap… wait… tap… wait… its now a smooth experience, and I can bring up the app list more or less instantly. I can see myself using more apps on the new watch, as it is now a pleasant experience.

The physical design is also nicer – its notably less thick than the old one, and more comfortable to wear.

They have also increased the water ingress protection, so I no longer have to take the watch off when bathing my children, which is nice. I haven’t been able to test the swimming pool safe side of it due to the pandemic closing all pools!

Im not sure, but the AMOLED screen looks sharper than the previous watch – i think they have increased the pixel density.

To go alongside the increased power efficiency and reduced size, they have somehow squeezed a larger battery in there as well, so we should be seeing a double benefit for battery life. I have only had the watch a while, but so far it seems much better than the old one in that respect.

Loading up ‘ok google’ is now a LOT quicker, so I can see myself using that a lot more, instead of pulling out my smartphone to avoid the lag from the old watch.

The charging pad is nicer as well now – its a smaller clip-on affair instead of the round puck, that holds itself to the watch using a strong magnet.

Complaints? the only problem I have encountered so far, is that like Samsung, Mobvoi have a bunch of apps they ship that duplicate the functionality to the google ones, such as health apps etc. This is easily mitigated by simply not using them.

So, in conclusion, this watch fixes all the issues i had with my very-much-loved previous watch, while retaining all the good bits. I am very pleased with the upgrade.

This is hopefully the dawn of a new era, when a sensible alternative to the Apple Watch exists for us Android folk.

A mighty upgrade from the already-good 2018 Ticwatch Pro 1

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI previously owned the older model TicWatch Pro, and this is a significant upgrade, in many ways on top of the extra functionality and health apps:
    – it’s much lighter and feels like I can wear it all day and night without fatigue
    – it’s slightly smaller, and thinner, but with a larger screen (about 1mm extra circumference)
    – the energy saving display is backlit! Many times I had to manually turn on the main display because I couldn’t see with the old watch and this is great!
    – the main display has a higher resolution and better contrast
    – battery life is better (it was already great on the old one!)
    – the experience is much snappier and there are no slow downs at all in the user experience

Overall a massive improvement and I’m very happy I upgraded!

A big improvement on the previous model, and a great watch all round.

This is the third TicWatch I have owned and I am not disappointed. After reading some reviews I bought it as an upgrade to the Pro 4G/LTE. While it looks similar, after using the watch for a while, it’s easy to see that the TicWatch Pro 3 starts to outshine its predecessor.

I much prefer having an always on display, it is a watch after all. So I thought the dual display from Mobvoi was a genius idea as it lets you have a normal watch most of the time, and all the smart features you want at the touch of a button. The 3 has gone a step further in providing a live seconds counter and a back light, I personally think this is the way forward for all smartwatches.

The battery life is fantastic, you easily get 3 days out of a single charge which means I don’t have to remember to bring the charger if you go away for the weekend. The Pro 2020 wasn’t bad by any stretch of the imagination, but this is much better. I’ve not really had any need to use the Essential mode, but with normal everyday usage, even with 24-hour heart monitoring enabled 3 days is achievable.

The Pro is a big watch which means you get lots of detail on the screen, the 3 has slightly larger screen, but is thinner and lighter. The weight difference is very noticeable, 6 grams difference doesn’t sound a lot but it makes it much more comfortable to wear it all day.

The performance the new Snapdragon 4100 processor is superb. Switching between screens, opening apps, scrolling through text, all happens as you would want it to.

You also get some new apps, TicSleep, TicHearing, TicOxygen and my favourite TicZen. Set up 24-hour monitoring and let your watch monitor your stress levels.

The TicWatch Pro 3 enhances everything from the Pro 2020 and adds new features. The watch might still be big, but it’s much lighter, thinner, way faster, and the battery extends even further than before. While there may have been times when accessing something on your TicWatch Pro 2020 would come with the anticipated delay after a tap, the Pro 3 removes that delay — making quick tasks a reality, on top of using Google Assistant as intended. If you have the funds, you should absolutely consider an upgrade.

    A worthwhile upgrade.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI can’t believe how happy I am with this purchase. The new Snapdragon 4100 processor is noticible immediately, the additional ROM makes any clunky animations a thing of the past! The design is much cleaner than the Pro 2020, less chunky and neater.

For the price, this is a absolute must for anyone in the market for a high end long term smart watch.

The display has been slightly upgraded also, which looks brighter, and honestly slightly more vivid.

As a personal preference I use Mobvoi’s watchfaces, as I prefer to use their health apps over Googles which seems to glitch out due to my phone recording steps also. (phone records less steps than my watch, the 2 conflict) so Mobvoi’s health app solves this immediately!
Mobvoi have been an incredible company to purchase from, incredibly accommodating and can’t do enough to help!

This is a easy 4.8/5 for me. The 0.2/5 is for the strap, I’m not a fan of all silicone so I’ll be purchasing a metal/leather strap which is a clip to detach and reattach.

Excellent work! Ask questions if you’re in the market, I’ll do my best to reply and advise!

    New processor. New design!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought the new TicWatch Pro 3 as an upgrade from my TicWatch Pro 4G and so far I’ve been very impressed by the improvements they’ve made!

The battery life is much better than before, I’ve got all sensors activated 24/7 for TicPulse, TicZen, TicHearing, and the others and I still haven’t needed to charge it since receiving the watch 2 days ago, even when starting at 85% charge… upgrading the battery size and upgrading to the new Snapdragon 4100 was a really good idea!

I’ve been using the watch with the pre-installed Mobvoi apps such as TicHealth and TicPulse, as well as the new ones: TicSleep, TicZen, TicOxygen, and TicHearing. All of the apps have been working perfectly and reporting the stats accurately. The TicSleep app also has the option to set non-tracking time to save battery, and that’s good.

TicZen has been a really good addition to the apps, it tracks your stress level based on the statistics it collects and you can see how stressed out you are, you can do a check manually or have it automatically check every 30 minutes throughout the day. I’m loving this app and it is definitely helping me to keep more calm and realise which parts of my life are stressing me out the most.

The new TicHearing app is also very useful, it listens to the audio volume around you and shows you how loud your surroundings are and how healthy each level of audio is. You can use this along with the TicZen information and keep yourself calm and reduce stress.

I’ve also had all the data that Google Fit supports sync through from my watch to the Google Fit apps too, I just set up the connection in the Mobvoi app and it starts to sync the information automatically so you have it in both places, I’m very happy with that being so easy to set up, although I personally prefer using the TicWatch apps.

They’ve also made some really good improvements to the watch strap design and the screen too; the new Pro 3 has an improved dual screen that shows more statistics on the battery saving screen as well as being almost instant when responding to touches and scrolls while using it and quickly waking up from sleep, it’s perfect for the battery life!

The new watch strap on the Pro 3 is more comfortable than the version that came with my previous watch and makes the whole watch look more professional and less of a sports watch. I can use this in the gym and in the office and it visually fits in both scenarios without any issues!

Finally the new selection of watch faces is fantastic! They’ve added loads more watch faces for the Pro 3, all with a different set of widgets showing the different stats that the apps are checking such as Pulse, Stress, and Steps. Their mobile app now shows a full list of watch faces that you can download and use, as well as the ones that are already on your watch.

Overall this watch is by far the best TicWatch that they’ve made; the battery life is really good, the apps are working perfectly, and the customisation has improved a lot since my first TicWatch.

I definitely recommend that you buy this watch!

The best TicWatch Pro so far!
