As we live by the sea we get to go to the beach a lot. we have changing robes but a lot of friends and family don’t.
It’s been christened the Darlek by our nephew and it not only provided a changing area, it has also doubled up as a shade tent when on the odd occasion it has been too hot.
Easy to put up and it remains very stable in use. I must admit we have only used it in very light conditions and not at all in the rain, but other reviewers have.
A little less easy to put away, but I am getting better at it.
Great value for money and we hope to use it for many years.
Love it! Use it instead of my small shower room in the campervan. More space and helps keep the van dry
Does what it says on the tin and easy to fold back to its carry case
Pops up instantly. Once you know how to dismantle it is easy. Enough room so that you don’t have to touch sides. Waterproof in the rai
Value for money. Just had to get it back in the bag…eventually we got it sorted. Happy with it.
This is the 2nd tent I ordered.. first one was half price but the quality and lack of features made up for that. But this price is well worth it for the tent. My first day I tried it, I picked the best weather to try it…
Windy, raining… and it held up 100%. Now I did tie the back of the tent to railings but couldn’t tie the front to anything and it still held its ground.. the flooring it came with is well padded and not some flimsy little mat, and the material of the tent itself is a lot better then my previous one (that I also reviewed on here) putting it away takes a few tries but once mastered, I can do it first try and within 10 seconds just by taking my time. The extra features it comes with like the pockets are very handy. I admit I use it mostly just for fishing and as you can see in the pics, a fishing chair has enough room. Could perhaps fit 2 in there side by side. I did also use it a few times to go a wee and covered closed the zip… felt secure and even tho it was windy I didn’t have to worry about the tent lifting up for the world to see me at my most valunerble moment. When the zip is closed tho, you can see light coming through between the stitching of the zip so not to sure how long that will last.
There is a little snag tho that I want to mention and worth noting. Before you take out the tent in the open, put it up first indoors and put the ropes through the tent loops that secures it to the ground. This is a nightmare to do, as the material of the loop is flat so it’s hard to open and put the rope through (have added pic to show you) and even more harder when it’s windy. So now I leave the ropes in the loop all the time when I take it down. I also thought it would be good to update a video of it in windy condition. Bear in mind that the front ropes are not tied in and yet it still held up. This is money well spent. The roof is ventilated mesh up can be covered up with the included rain hood, which yet again works so well. It was a tad embarrassing when someone walked past and laughed and said “that’s a toilet tent” but then…. Next day someone said “that’s brilliant, bet there is a chair in there too”.
Best bit is… I can sit down in it, have room for my back pack, chair, drinks, fishing gear, Bluetooth speakers and still can close the zip and have plenty of room inside. And I did close the zip when it really poured down and was so dry. The sound of rain and thunder is lovely to hear especially when your dry and a few drinks. And it also acts as a great relaxing tent. Where I fish there is benches directly behind me and nothing more off putting then people staring at you making you feel uneasy and not relaxed at all… with this tent…. not a problem.
Love it and will carry on using it regularly.
*EDIT 09/09/2021*
I uploaded another video in very very VERY heavy rain… and it kept me dry 100% plus I uploaded a pic after the rain… bit wet inside… but that’s because I stepped inside and outdoors to get the right pic and had to step inside again one more time leaving foot marks and such. Amazing tent… put to max use in heavy rain and heavy wind.. and yet… wasn’t even tied down properly.
Taken this camping – a perfect utility tent. Very spacious with plenty of space to accommodate a portaloo and other camping gear.
I am a fan of pop up tents as they seem much more easier to install and saves time which when you have 2 little ones with you ,is a blessing.
I have a normal poo up tent for summer days at the beach.
This one seems to have the exactly same pop up system as well as folding so it was pretty easy for me to fold it back on its bag.
Once folded it does not require a lot of space and it can be easy carried on .
Whether this is going to be used for camping or for the days at the beach ,as a toilet ,shower room, changing room or just to have some privacy ,this tent can do it all.
Once set up ,feels quite sturdy .
Comes with sand pockets for a more secure install.
Price wise I find it a bit too expensive ,but in the end you get what you pay for and this tent worth its money.
This small multipurpose tent has lots of uses, from being ideal for camping to use as a changing room, a shower tent or even a chemical loo tent (I remember using something similar 40 years ago when camping with the guides!), but also great for fishing and even in the garden as a hot house, or an individual shade to sit in in the beach or for pets, it really has a multitude of uses!
Of,course,at 46.99 it’s not cheap, but for that money you do get quality and lots of extras, not just a basic tent. The tent is much taller than many 8n the market and quite spacious at 4ft square at the base and full height is 6,5ft tall, so should fit most people easily. It’s really well thought out with a grand sheet, rain cover, ventilation, guy ropes, sand bags, and a large internal pocket and it’s super easy to assemble being pop up, and though there’s a technique to getting it down, once you know it, it’s no problem at all. In the day time it gives good privacy, and does at night too if you don’t use a light! With a light there will of course be a shadow outline, so I recommend going with a light, then turning it off whilst you’re doing whatever is required, and then turning the light back in to go to your tent, and that will reduce the likelihood of people see8mg anything I’d they’re out and about whilst you’re using the tent for whatever purpose!
Overall this is a good quality small pop-up tent that has many uses, and if you’re using for camping or intend to use it regularly for other purposes and it is very much worth the money. Recommended.
This was ordered for my daughter to use when fishing but would also be great to take to beach for changing after swim. It’s lightweight and packs down in to small bag.I wasn’t sure about easy pop up claim but it really was springing to life in seconds, you then just have to secure guy ropes for stability, my daughters had up and secured in minutes.Taller and more spacious than expected.Sure be used on many fishing.I would prefer a little cheaper but great idea and multi use pop up te
I borrowed one basic type of these from a friend last year to use when travelling. It was less versatile than this one and whilst ‘serving a purpose’ it gave me an insight into the short comings of some and what to look out for.
This ‘tent’ is very adaptable in a variety of situations. Firstly, quick set up -a matter of seconds. If needed a groundsheet, ‘sandbags’ and pegs for securing down. A separate top -if not used a shower can more easily be used. Using it offers greater protection against inclement weather and privacy if needed. There are two ‘windows’ which allow for air circulation and a handy detachable storage bag (toilet roll, phone, clothes – things you don’t want to put on the ground). Comes with its own storage bag.
It is higher than most for the taller members of the family. It is waterproof and has a UPF 50 protection label. The ‘non see through’ claim should be set alongside the fact that any light will create shadows in any tent and be more questionable at night. But if you ‘need to go’ this might be a lesser concern!
I was surprised, with all these extras and its’ adaptability, that this ‘privacy tent’ did not cost much more. I have found it useful on the beach, camping and when travelling long distances especially when we’ve been minimising our contact with other people. Great for all members of the family – be it needing to get changed or offering confidence with a grandparent needing more frequent visits to the portable toilet than the rest of us! Friends who go fishing have seen this and now are looking to buy one themselves to shelter in. Many uses – highly recommended and good value for money.
Easy to put up, although it’s still rather large when packed away. Very good quality and sturdy though, even in more inclement weather.
I have this toilet/shower pop-up tent in blue. It is very useful and versatile, can be used for many purposes to include portable changing room or just as a shade shelter.
It is just what I was looking for to have in our little recently converted camper van.
The tent arrived in the round storage bag with user manual, pegs to secure it to the ground, 4 sand bags, some detachable storage organisers, black waterproof ground mat and detachable roof part.
Tent was very fast to put on.
There are many combination that it could be assembled – with bottom mat or without, with fabric roof or only net, with some storages or without etc., depends what is the purpose it would be used for.
The size is generous, exactly as per listing description, my partner who is 182cm tall fits well in it.
Tent looks well made, very practical with the storages and elastic bands sewn in to it to attach e.g. shower handle.
It also has small zippable windows.
The roof is made from the black see-through net, but there is also a fabric roof which can be easily attached if privacy is needed.
Fabric is thin and lightweight but looks strong and water resistant. Stitching is not perfect but looks good.
All zips work well and glide smoothly.
I was surprised that we manged to fold it in less than a minute even the first time and it fitted easily back in the storage bag. Usually we struggled with the similar items in the past and they never fit in to their original bag.
Practical design, reasonably priced, so I would happily recommend it.
Awesome loved all the little extras that came with i
For 46.99 (at the time of writing), I find this waterproof pop up tent offers an amazing value for money. It’s well designed with everything you possibly need in a small portable changing tent — a good size storage bag, clothesline, removable bottom mat, removable rain cover and other accessories such as 4 sandbags, 8 metal pegs and 4 guy ropes. The blue colour is nice and subtle.
It’s exactly what I need for the next camping trip. It’s lightweight and unfolds automatically once taken out from the bag. It’s also easy to take down and put back in its bag.
The frame seems sturdy, the material is thick and durable and not see-through so will give you the complete privacy you are looking for when changing or showering in the tent. It also comes with a removable mesh roof for ventilation.
It’s quite spacious with good height. My 6ft tall husband can stand upright comfortably inside.
Overall, a good quality, sturdy, practical, versatile and very useful pop up tent. A must have item to take during a hiking trip, to the beach, fishing etc. An easy recommendation from me.
Thank you for reading. Hope you have found it helpful. 🙂
Easy popup tent that is a good height, quite spacious, lightweight but made of strong material. Sand bags are a great idea otherwise useful to use as extra storage.
Easy to put up. Stays upright when pitched, a few leaks through the seams which is disappointing, but this is a value/entry level item and so I’m not marking it down drastically as a result.
This is really useful, my wife was a little self conscious about putting this up on the beach because of the height and that it would look like a portaloo but it’s great, with 4 young kids and the two of us in and out of the sea it’s much easier to change in this and it pops up and down in a few seconds, I think it’s great. We have used it every day on holiday and like today didn’t put it up until the end of the day then we all got dried and changed and off we went.
Its well made, sturdy and good material, very similar to a beach tent.
My only little gripe with it is that the sides are not attached to any flooring so anchoring it down on sandy and stony beaches needed some attention with stones in pockets and using the velcro sand bags we have for the umbrellas, not a problem in the end as they include some sandbags that tie round the bottom bits, it would be easier to just throw some sand in some pockets that were attached though.
All in all very good and I easily recommend this.
Toilet Tent from LIBERRWAY Store
I find this a very clever idea when going camping. I stand 6’3, and I fit in standing without a problem.
It is easy to set up and fold in as it is just like most pop-up tents in the market. If it’s your first time using a pop-up tent, I suggest watching a video tutorial online.
It comes with a clothesline, storage bags, and other accessories useful accessories. It has a removal mesh roof making good ventilation.
The material is not so lightweight because of the metal framework of the tent, but I can’t say it’s heavy as well.
The stitches were done appropriately, and the zippers glide smoothly, making me trust that it is durable enough to stand for a reasonable time.
The thing is, just like most tents, it is not totally opaque or blackout, so expect a bit of silhouette, mainly when used under direct light/sunlight.
Overall, I find this highly recommendable and absolutely useful.
I had spent days looking for a decent, not over priced, privacy tent & I found it right here.
This ticket all the boxes- sstorage,Ngroundsheet & guy lines. oNt forgetting the sandbags, which will be used as additional storage rather than as weights as its not being used on a beach.
Everything is well made. The groundsheet is thicker & a better quality than I expected. I will probably use different pegs to the ones include just as a personal preference not because I need to.
There’s plenty of ventilation with side vents & the added option to leave the top uncovered altogether.
Well worth the money spent.
Good quality and lightweight shower/toilet tent.
Simple enough to set up, just pops up and easy to put away.
Is sturdy and secure once set up.
Great for camping or festivals.
Can be used for a variety of things.
Great for privacy.
There are two bags and one clothesline inside the travel toilet tent and comes with one removable storage bag for toilet roll, clothes, and so on.
Toilet Tent, Shower Tent with Tent Groundsheet/Pegs/Guy Ropes/Tent Bag, Waterproof Camping Toilet Tent Pop-up Changing Tent Portable for Outdoor Travel Fishing Hiking-Utility Tent Blue.
My husband goes off for a few days at a time on fishing trips at the pond he has membership at, he sleeps in his bivvy and really needed something like this to put his toilet bucket it as it is not pleasant having the toilet bucket in the bivvy with you especially if you have just had a poo!
He has just got back from one of these trips and he took this toilet Tent with him, he says that it was easy to put up and put down and that he’s had no issues with it.
He’s impressed at the size of it and can easily stand up in it.
This is what you get……
Pop up tent
A carry bag
Removable floor mat
8 tent stakes
4 guy lines.
Many years ago when our 3 sons where little we would go camping in the school holidays and we purchased a toilet Tent that cost around 20 at the time but the quality was no where near as good as the quality of this one, you couldn’t even stand up in it!….. So this one is a great improvement compared to that.
My husband highly reccomends it, its durable and long lasting.
Price is about right.
My wife and I drove over 5k miles across country this month, and didnt enter one building. We would pop this up in the grass and pee right there. If we had to go #2, we would set up a small portable toilet with a bag to throw in the trash. I would say this thing is harder to set up than to fold up. There is a bit of a suction issue when pulling it apart. I became a pro at folding it, and could do it in less than 10 seconds. We showered in it, and it dried very quickly. We would stake it up at camp sites, and it was quite sturdy. Id say we used it more than 50 times in 3 weeks, and it is still in perfect condition.
I have a very cheap toilet tent compared to this. I’m going to switch it out for this one though. I keep it on the car for times when you get stuck on the motorway and being female there’s nowhere to go. Then when we’re camping it’s really handy to put the camp toilet in.
If you wanted to use it for a shower just don’t put the bottom on.
The quality is excellent and it’s a pop up so easy to put up and take down.
Inside is a storage bag and the outside has guy ropes. Also the top can be covered with a supplied waterproof jacket.
This is excellent value for the money and I like it.
Great item, really easy to set up and use! It arrived in a tent like flat pack bag and you simply take out and pop up! It they comes with ropes which you can peg down to make it a little more sturdy then also a ground sheet! This is a really good quality item which will definitely last if kept in good condition! Nice and spacious inside and is definitely great for toilet / shower.
When I used this, I was surprised at how:
a) quick it was to set up, takes about 2 seconds
b) how large it was
c) the amazing quality it was made of.
It is super sturdy and can withstand a lot of difficult weather, there are different zippers, and overall it is durable and of good quality.
It can also be used as a shelter since it is quite big as well as a toilet room. It is easily portable and when you pop it up, it is instantly standing.
I highly recommend it and good value for money at 39.99.
You receive a great pop up tent which is designed for using as an outside extra tent, for such things as a toilet, changing room etc.
Its easy to put up, the guide ropes seem good, and it does seem good and secure, It should with stand a bit of wind.
Supplied with all fixings, I’d add a few more tents pegs etc if using outside
This has a few uses other than camping, a great privacy tent if you’re wanting a quick change, we do pirate shows and could see this being used for a quick change screen.
Using in a gazebo would be ideal, protected from the weather.
A great item, great for campers, should be able to with stand the eliminates
I was kind of dubious about this tent’s promises about instant popup along with sturdiness when erected – this seemed to be mutually contradictory to me! I can confirm though that it is very much the case – putting the tent up took about 20 seconds, putting it back in the carrying bag took about 90 seconds, so kudos to the people who designed and built it.
We don’t do camping, so a pop-up toilet is of moot value to us. What we got this for is as a changing facility. Many stores have currently got their changing rooms closed because of the pandemic, so they suggest that you buy clothes without trying them on, take them home, try them there and if they don’t fit, bring them back and the store will happily refund the price. What they don’t refund you for is the cost of getting home and coming back, or the one hour plus travelling time involved. So what we use this tent for is to pick out items, buy them, find a quiet corner of the car park, fling up the tent, try on the items, take them back in if they don’t fit, and take them home if they do fit. It’s unfortunte that we need to adopt these measures but it’s a reality of modern life… We use it in conjunction with a retractable folding stool which cost under 30 from Amazon, and it all works brilliantly, to such an extent that we may carry on using after in-store changing rooms re-open – no such thing as a 15 minute wait to get into the changing rooms if you’ve got one ready to use in the boot of your car!
The tent itself is very well built, competitively priced when matched against other tents of this type, and is a very high standard of construction. Very much recommended
it so easy to put up and take down great for camping simply lovey
An unbranded portable changing tent.
opens instantly and functions as a private changing room, shelter, shower room and toilet making it perfect for days at the beach and camping holidays.
It has a very good privacy function and there is plenty of airflow and outside visibility when you need it.
You Get: 1 x Pop-up Tent; 1 x Removable Floor Mat, 8 x Tent Stakes, 4 x guy lines and 1 Carrying bag.
A big improvement over the cheaper ones.
When I unpacked this portable toilet I was amazed how big it is.. Its narrow on the top and wide on the bottom. Its lots of space inside to do the business there or to get change. Tent came with pegs, detachable roof cover, floor mat and ground pegs to secure mat and tent itself.
Tent have 2 zipper windows under the roof area, loops inside to detach included bags to put clothes into paper, wipes, etc. Tent opens up by zipper flap of the fabric.
Tent is good quality and its described as not see through. I’ve tested that and can say that if source of light comes from the front, we can see through. Even if we put lamp inside the tent, it still see through. The best option is to use it day time under daylight, not concentrated source of light.
I managed to fold this tent, it wasnt difficult as I expected it would be. Just fold top side to bottom side and then twist the top and it will fold itself. There is instruction included but it easily can be lost as it’s not attached to anything.
Tent is a bit heavy and its stored in big round bag which can be worn as a backpack (shoulder straps are sewn in but they arent strong, one of them started tear so I had to stitch it before snaps for good).
All in all, it’s good tent/ toilet/ changing room. It offers privacy and peace of mind when out on the beach or camping somewhere in the wild.
The price is a bit high but competitive on the market.
Portable camping tent which can be used for putting a toilet in or for changing your clothes.
You don’t have to worry about putting this little tent up, it just pops up on it’s own.
Everything you need comes with this tent, nothing is forgotten.
Don’t worry if it rains for it comes with a rain cover and guy ropes so everything is kept nice and dry.
It packs flat so doesn’t need much space.and it’s zipped up in a specially made blue bag.
I do hope this review has been helpful to you.
easy to put up quality material very easy to out down again very impressed
