Les dimensions et tonnage du vhicule tant saisies, a n’empche pas le GPS de nous envoyer par des routes inappropries.
Les itinraires proposs sont assez souvent farfelus, il s’avre donc indispensable de s’tablir son propre itinraire sur une carte et de ne l’couter que lorsque l’on a pas d’indication sur le terrain! J’ai connu TOM TOM beaucoup plus performant. Pourquoi ne peut on pas les avertir de leurs erreurs, prfrent ils rester ignorants?
Nothing to dislike. An absolute must for those towing a caravan or driving a motor home. Ability to change vehicle dimension is great once you have arrived at site. So far has found every site by name and taken us there without issue. No more tight squeezes, difficult turns or OMG moments. The built in SIM also makes this independent of you pho e.

Ich habe teure Gerte von Becker, Falk und Garmin gehabt.
Einmal im Monat ber das heimische
W-Lan verbinden. Sofort wird alles kostenlos aktualisiert. Wenn man will, wird man auch vor mobilen und stationren Radargerten gewarnt. Durch die fest eingebaute SIM-Karte wird wie bei
Google-Maps jede Verkehrsbehinderung inkl. der zustzlichen Zeit in Echtzeit in der Statusleiste angezeigt.
Rot: Stau,
Gelb: Verkehr rollt noch mit Verzgerung (zustzliche Zeit wird wie gesagt angezeigt)
Braun: Hindernis ohne Verzgerung.
Brillantes Display und nicht zu vergessen die sehr gute Sprachsteuerung.
Durch die vielen tausend Campingpltze sehr gut in der Freizeit nutzbar.
Kann ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

In bewhrter Tomtom-Qualitt. Das Gert wird ausschlielich in unsrem groen Wohnmobil betrieben. Der Vorteil: Man kann die Gre des Fahrzeugs voreinstellen udn wird in keine kleinen Gsschen gefhrt oder zu Brcken, wo man sich festfahren wrde. Da hat mal jemand mitgedacht! Der Monitor ist schn gro und gut ablesbar. Die Kartenfhrung sehr gut.

El GPS me funciona bien en cuanto a rapidez de localizacin e indicaciones en la conduccin.
El problema serio que le encuentro es que me lo he comprado y configurado para autocaravana, pero ya he tenido varios problemas porque me lleva por carreteras que no es para este tipo de vehculos.
Me gustara saber si hay algo que me falta por configurar, o es un problema del GPS.

L’abbiamo usato in un recente viaggio in camper in Austria. Si rivelato un ottimo strumento, con tante informazioni sul percorso che si sta facendo. In due casi non abbiamo capito perch ci ha indicato percorsi diversi (forse perch pi paesaggistici?) per anche vero che l’abbiamo studiato poco, sicuramente approfondendo le sue tante impostazioni lo utilizzeremo al meglio.
Wir sind ca. 600 km mit dem Navi gefahren. Es hat uns nicht einmal in die Irre gefhrt. Auch “Autobahn vermeiden” funktioniert bei einem “leichten” Wohnmobil gut. Wir sind zufrieden.
Bought a TomTom camper because most of the campsites are already pre loaded plus you can have different configurations ie: caravan, motorhome or campervan which is very helpful. The bonus of this one is it can be updated on a regular basis so you are always up to date with new roadways.
When you drive something larger than a car you need a Navigator that stops you driving on to narrow roads or under to low bridges. This unit does that and so is ideal for our Campervan.
De momento bien. Ya tengo un Go 600 y funciona parecido pero mas rpido y mejor.

This new one is much better and safer but I had some issues when set it up to take me to a campsite. It kept saying that this route is not suitable for my outfit. I then realised as the destination was inside the campsite off the main road that campsite track is registered as not suitable. Now as I realised this I just drop a point to the gate of the site on the main road and it works fine.
Ideally it would be great if the TomTom flags up the section that it refers to as non suitable.
I also use the MyDrive TomTom app to plan different routes in advance but you can’t select driving with caravan.
I do recommend this for caravan and Motorhome users.
great unit, able to put size of vehicle in so it doesnt take you where you wont fit.. if we ever get out of lockdown id like to use it again!?!?
Habe gelesen und videos geschaut, vieles nicht gesagt:
1. Man kann die Hhe einstellen, auf cm genau. Ein riesen +++(Garmin camper kann nicht es geht nur in greren Schritten)
2. Standard ist Europa incl Ru in Camper modus vorinstalliert
3 mit einer SD Karte von 64 gb (nicht dabei) kann man die brige Welt laden (funktioniert) allerdings scheint nicht in camper modus (bin noch nicht sicher)
4.Route berechnen in Browser (von Laptop) und automatisch sinchronisieren mit Gert funktioniert
5 Anmeldung fr Tomtom dienste einfach mit email adresse passwort thats all
Bin unterwegs mit MercedesSprinter 235 cm hffe die Brckenhhen werden dabei genau ausgerechnet (kann noch nicht sagen)
MINUS: Route planung ber tomtom mydrive ist mhsam, manche Straeen lassen sich nicht beklicken keine Waypoints (zumindest ohne Probleme) definieren und spricht nicht also komplett Stumm !
Ho acquistato il navigatore per sostituire il precedente (Tom Tom GO 1005 Live) dopo alcuni anni di utilizzo. Ho scelto questo per diverse ragioni: le mappe del mondo a vita, il display pi grande, aggiornamenti via WiFi. Le funzionalit del precedente sono tutte presenti nel nuovo. In aggiunta possibile utilizzare il supporto via PC per sviluppare itinerari, definire punti di sosta, punti di interesse, etc. per poi trasferirli direttamente sul navigatore via WiFi. Dopo le prime prove trovo che il navigatore funziona molto bene ed in modo preciso e veloce. L’nico punto “negativo” dovuto alla necessit di studiare bene circa 180 pagine di documentazione per poterlo utilizzare bene. Ci anche nel caso, come il mio, di avere gi fatto esperienza con il modello precedente.
La carte SIM intgre (gratuite) permet une liaison constante et rapide avec les diffrentes informations routires. Bouchon, route barre, accident, travaux, sont indiqus avec prcision et rapidement. Le re-calcul du trajet est trs rapide galement. L’utilisation de Tomtom Drive sur un PC, permet de programmer vos trajet l’avance, de les moduler souhait et de les transmettre en Wifi votre GPS. Par contre le graphisme reste archaque malgr une dfinition 3D des btiments dans certaines villes.
Mir gefllt besonders gut, dass das Tom Tom Camper auch im Autobahn – Landstrassen Mix Routen erstellt, was meine anderen Navi’s alle nicht konnten. Entweder Autobahn, oder nur Landstrasse. Ich habe es noch nicht viel benutzt, aber was ich bisher damit erlebt habe war sehr zufriedenstellend.
Nachdem wir uns nun 2 Jahre mit einem anderen Campernavi herumgeschlagen haben, welches trge war und stndig das GPS-Signal verloren hat, sind wir bim TomTom GO gelandet.
Es fhlt sich schon beim Auspacken wertig an, die Scheibenbefestigung stabil und der Magnetconnector fr die Halterung einfach klasse.
Updates ber WLAN dauerten bei mir 20 Minuten und schon sind frische Karten drauf. Lebenslang ohne weitere Kosten – das lobe ich mir.
Man kann die Art des Fahrzeugs eingeben und abspeichern, was fr uns sehr wichtig ist, da wir einen Wohnwagen und ein Wohnmobil haben und jeweilsein anderes Fahrzeugprofil bentigen.
Anweisungen kommen klar, deutlich und rechtzeitig und das D isplay hat eine super Helligkeit und einen sehr groen Betrachtungswinkel.
Fr uns das perfekte Campernavi 🙂
Sehr gute Verarbeitung, leider sind ein paar Features aus dem alten Gert nicht bernommen worden. Trotz Rchfrage bei TomTom wohl keine Mglichkeit sie zu bekommen. Wir haben ein groes Wohnmobil wo die Mae und Gewicht wichtig ist. Preis / Leistung gut.

Won’t like it if the satellite moves as did my other one which cost me 500.
It takes some time to work around the menus but persevere, it’s worth it.
Up to yet has kept me from stupid roads but need to test it more.
I have recently returned from a month travelling in Europe five countries and 2,269 miles was I think a good test run for it, I can honestly say that it didn’t let me down once throughout, I found the site finder aspect particularly useful, speed limit warnings can be annoying at times, however on poorly signed roads a great asset. Battery life is very limited, but as I would not use this size unit to walk around with not a big issue for me All in all I am happy with my purchase, certainly not the cheapest, but like everything else, you get what you pay for.
Would I recommend………..yes.
Exactly as expected. Have used a Tom Tom for many years, have a Go5200 hard wired into my car, but wanted a campervan specific one a) because you can enter the vehicle dimensions and hopefully it will avoid exceptionally narrow routes, and b) my ageing eyes will appreciate the larger screen of the 6″ model, especially as it will sit further away from me in the van. Speedy delivery, easy to set up, lifetime map updates directly by Wi-fi at home, no need to plug into computer or get update disks. Lovely bit of kit.
The camper version was purchased to replace an old TomTom that had a camper download. It is a great, clear screen and easy to use ( I’m used to TomTom). It still directs me off roads that I know are suitable and when redirecting it tries to take me on roads I absolutely know are not so use with care!
Looked and searched many different types of Sat Nav for our touring caravan. This was not the cheapest but seemed to tick all the boxes for what we needed it for. Tom Tom seems to be the most popular device currently around. I also have had several Tom om devices in the past and already familiar with its general set up which has helped. Lots of additional features such as voice control and mobile phone link. Only used a couple of times but no problems so far.
Toured all around Europe this summer for a month and this kit was amazing. It was incredibly accurate and became my own digital Chewbacca helping me along my way. I highly recommend it.
He tenido la version anterior y actualizar los mapas, que tambien era gratuito, y los radares era complicado necesitando un ordenador. Ahora lo hace solo y es muy sencillo. Hasta ahora me ha dirigido muy bien, lo he probado poco pero bien.
I use this Sat Nav when I am touring with my caravan in Continental Europe as well as in UK.
Because you can tell it you are towing and the dimensions of your outfit, it will not send you along routes that you can’t fit down. (nothing is perfect, but I have had few problems)
Live traffic is a boon, and allows you to take alternative routes and it advises you of them.
WiFi update couldn’t be easier.
Overall, brilliant piece of kit. Would highly recommend
Non mi piaciuto il fatto che assolutamente inaffidabile sui limiti di velocit in autostrada. La cosa peggiore che non riesco ad avere assistenza se non attraverso il computer. Ho provato ma con risultati nulli. Il dispositivo acquistato a luglio 2019 in garanzia ma non riesco a venirne a capo.
It’s OK, can’t upload your own icons for POI which is a shame, voice control is useless, it took ages to do 1st update and is slow at doing big map updates. But it still does the job we bought it for..
Das Gert ist in der Rechenleistung schnell, was bedeutet, wenn man mal im Stadtverkehr eine Ausfahrt verpasst hat wird in wenigen Sekunden sofort die Route angepasst. Das Navi hat einen eigenen Chip mit Verbindung zum Tomtom Server.
Zuvor hatte ich mich berreden lassen ein Campernavi von einem anderen fhrenden Hersteller zu testen. Das war eine einzige Katastrophe. Ich bin wieder zu tomtom gewechselt. Hat man die Bedienung erst einmal raus, ist es ein Vergngen sich davon leiten zu lassen. Wer nicht gerade ein groes Womo fhrt sollte als Fahrzeug einen Kasenwagen eingeben. Dann sind die einzelnen Routen krzer. Das aber nur in Abhngikeit zum benutzen Fahrzeug. Das sollte ausprobiert werden. Was nicht bedeuten soll, das Besitzer von groen Wohnmobilen dieses Gert nicht kaufen sollen. Ich will nur sagen, dass manche “Dickschiffe” nicht berall hin kommen knnen und da ist es gut diese Daten im Navi einzupflegen.
Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Gert. Das Display ist bersichtlich. Die Anweisungen klar, optisch und akustisch. Der Service von Tomtom, bei Fragen oder Problemen ist ein wenig trge, aber gut und zuvorkommend.
Ich bin Tomtom Fan und teile deshalb meine Zufriedenheit.

L’utilisation dans la recherche d’adresses est droutante au dpart en venant de mon ancien modle mais elle s’est avre facile utiliser ensuite. La recherche de points d’intrts (campings, sites, muses, etc.) est trs complte et facile utiliser.
Je n’ai pas encore compris au bout de 4 mois comment fonctionnait la reconnaissance vocale.
Je suis trs content de cet achat.
Quand il est tomb en panne et declar non-rparable du son age, j’ai remplac mon TomTom Camping Caravanning 1005 par le nouveau GO Camping.
En tant que appareil GPS cela fonctionne de faon irreprochable! Est ce qu’on veut un appareil qui s’integre aussi compltement avec les fonctions d’un smartphone est le choix de chacun, actuellement il y a un campagne contre l’utilisation des portables aux volant et je ne suis pas sur que la gendarmerie apreciera mieux qu’on tapotte sur le GPS que sur le portable.
Le graphisme de nouveau GPS laisse a desirer quoique la visualisation des changeurs autoroute etc. est genial, il y a un manque de dtails que je ne peut que regretter, pas de rivires etc., la forme de la route devant est sommaire alors qu’avant on pouvait juger des courbes et virages aidant une conduite plus souple. Par contre sur les rondpoints il n’y plus de retard. Les mises a jour se font facilement ds que le GPS arrive se connecter un WIFI, impeccable pour moi qui gare sa voiture dans le jardin a port du WIFI, moins satisfaisant pour celui qui se gare a distance et qui se trouveras du coup oblig de oter l’appareil pour le rentrer la maison et le connecter un chargeur.
C’est avec le personalisation et certains aspect de fonctionnement que ce TomTom perd de l’intrt (en commun semble t’il avec ses concurrents, on l’appel progrs ngatif!)
Avec le 1005 on pouvait choisir entre peut-tre une douzaine de colooris, maintenant zero!
Plus ennuyeux, les POI (points d’intrts) ont disparus, maintenant confondus avec les favoris, plus grave est qu’il faut les entrer un par un, donc par exemple prennant un exemplaire, les restaurants Courtepaille ont un dossier tlchargable qui contiens tous leurs tablissements, avec le 1005 on pouvait les installer tous avec une seule opration, plus maintenant! Les rentrer tous individuellement est pour peu dire fastidieux.
Conclusion, suivant les recherches que j’ai pu faire le Go Camping fonctionne trs bien et il semblerait qu’au moins dans le plupart de mes critiques il est au moins la hauteur de ses concurrents avec l’avantage d’un service conseil et support technique par exellence et dans son role principale de GPS le fonctionnement est irreprochable.
I like this bit of kit, motorhome specific amongst others. Gives me confidence when somewhere strange to me.
As a Caravan/Motorhome unit this is a success. Changing the settings to your vehicle really does select more suitable routes. I just have to remember to set it back to car when the caravan is not connected.
Although expensive, it has all the latest TomTom features with lifetime maps and cameras. I find the screen large and easy to read with better graphics than its competitors. The traffic feature is quicker to update than the Garmin I borrowed.
There are some irritations. Despite boasting the latest processor it often goes slow and unresponsive when keying in addresses. Sound off is now a menu away not on the main screen. I gave voice activation one star because, despite my reluctance to set it up, it occasionally bursts into life with an “I’m listening” and a map obscured by choices!
Excellent the way the roundabouts were enlarged as we approached and the speed it recalculated the new route when we took wrong roads in France
The unit works well, the routing is good with road numbers and names and the traffic alerts much better than the Garmin units. However there is a major design flaw – the power lead fits the rear of the unit which makes it impossible to use the tablet / sat nav holder that is fitted to the newer Fiat Ducato, as these are one of the most common bases for a campervan / motorhome I can only assume that no one at TomTom did the market research very well. My old 6200 has the power lead entry at the bottom, which would have been fine but has no option for vehicle size.

Ich habe drei Navi`s von TomTom ,hier das Navi ist sehr langsam im Aufbau von Strecken , da ich nur eine Reise mit diesem Teil gemacht habe ,kann ich noch nicht viel darber berichten.
Super ist bei einem wlan am Ort, den direkten Download von Karten- Aktualisierunge

Sehr gut gemacht. Zunchst etwas gewhnungs bedrftig da sich das TOMTOM vom der Darstellung und der Bedienung von anderen Herstellern unterscheidet. Die Fhrung und die Anweisungen sind sehr przise. Man kann das Gert
mit seinem Smartphon verbinden. Klasse Gert Daumen hoch. Wir wrden es weiter empfehlen.
Love the larger screen it make it easier to view. I would recommend this Tom Tom Go especially if they have a Motor Home.

Caricato mappe direttamente con il mio smartfone (MyDrive Connect),facile e intuittivo,inserito misure camper il tutto in cinque minuti.Unico problema le mappe caricate :Europa Camper,almeno in Italia sono poche le informazioni sui divieti e limiti di ingombro che vengono forniti,motivo per il quale si consiglia in ogni caso, l’attento controllo dei cartelli stradali.Ottimo il comando vocale basta dire : CIAO TOM TOM,e lui e prontamente attivo dopo un segnale accustico a ricevere tutta una serie di comandi preimpostati,compreso chiamate telefnoniche in vivavoce. Ottimo anche il supporto magnetico attivo, permette un distacco veloce senza scoleggare il cavo di alimentazione,cosi come il riagancio.Completo di tante funzione di personizazione elencate nelle descrizione del navigatore, come gli aggiornamenti a vita automatici. Changes to the way you navigate from my old Tom Tom need time to get used to it still sends you down narrow roads or takes you off the main road to save 20 meters very annoying when your lost In France and your in your camper towing a car and the Tom Tom says go right and your in a nod way system in a small town and the thing tries to route you back on the same road in the one way you can’t turn right into would be nice if you could move the map a bit just to see which roads it wants to send you down in the towns other than that super bit of ki
Depuis 15 ans utilisateur de la marque mais lass de payer pour les services cartes, radars, traffic, etc… j’ai voulu essay la concurrence, mal m’en pris je suis vite revenu Tomtom avec ce camper pour nombreuses raisons: entre autres ,maintenant les services sont gratuits ( merci la concurence) , ractivit ( il anticipe mieux que d’autres les vnements ) enfin j’ai retrouv un ecran tres lisible meme par grand soleil, le graphisme simple mais efficace : un simple coup d’oeil suffit confirmer les instructions orales, bien sr il a des dfauts ( par ex. menus pas trs intuitifs) mais il fait assez bien le travail qu’on lui demande
il volume essendo in un camper non consente sempre di capire bene cosa dice e ancora meno capisce quando gli chiedi qualcosa se non si urla , non hanno tenuto conto della rumorosit di questi mezzi.
This was a replacement for an earlier model which bricked. Much easier to use, very clear instructions and the connection is faultless. Easier to update being wifi enabled. Re-routes very quickly. Great visual (useful for the passenger) and shows close up for motorway exits on one half and actual path on the other. Excellent purchase with lifetime maps, traffic and speed cameras. Love that this has an inbuilt SIM so I don’t have to link it to my phone to get the traffic.
Ist ein sehr zuverlssiges Gert und fr mich bereits da dritte Gert von der Firma. Beide anderen Gerte werden mittlerweile von meinen Schwiegershnen genutzt. Fr unser WoMo haben wir uns jetzt den Camper zugelegt, weil man da die Fahrzeugdaten eingeben kann und somit berraschungen wie zu enge Straen vermeiden kann.
Why do TOMTOM make it so difficult to change from Caravan mode to Car mode
Yes I know via the menu BUT I think a logo on top of the Map to show Car and Caravan Mode or Car only

POI is a waste of time. Can’t look up eating places, shops, NT sites. Our old Garmin was vastly superior. How can you add poi`s to machine? Thanks
Easy to set up – instructions good. Used on a trip in France, Belgium and Holland using both address and Long / Lat modes. In both cases got me to where I wanted.
Does exactly as should. Set it up for the Motorhome and leave it the same for the car. WiFi updates are great as is the traffic info.

Only used this a couple of times with the caravan but it’s not taken us down any narrow lanes yet! It’s easy to set up & use and so far seems quite quick to start up. Updating on Wi-fi was a doddle, far easier than having to connect via a PC. Having said that, I did like sorting a route on the PC and sending it to the sat nav.
Only complaint is that it is a bit pricey!
Comunque per il momento posso dire che molto preciso nelle indicazioni e sicuramente anche lo schermo di maggiori dimensioni aiutano. Spero, conoscendolo meglio, di scoprire qualcosa che mi facciano dimenticare ci che mi manca per poter aggiungere un’altra stella, Gi l’aggiornamento a vita degli autovelox e servizi Live qualcosa in pi del precedente che mi ha abbandonato solo dopo cinque anni di attivi
I bought the latest version of the Tom Tom Camper after my old one completely died – I’d had it almost 5 years…
Likes: Good clear display and visual guidance and clear audio instructions early enough to enable the driver to take action. Showing your incoming texts is also a bonus.
Dislikes: I really miss the ‘Repeat last Instruction’ facility from my old Tom Tom. With the old one if I missed the instruction or wanted to double check which turn to take I only had to touch the screen and it would repeat – really useful if you are towing 7m of caravan and about to enter a busy junction! Also, I miss being able to use the map screen to change volume like I did on the old version. On this one you have to enter the menu first.

Die Saugleistung des Halter ist sehr gut – wenn der Untergrund fettfrei war hlt das Teil super – was etwas nervt ist die schlechte Ablesbarkeit des Displays bei heller Umgebung oder direkter Sonne. Die Bedienung ist fr Besitzer eines lteren Gertes einfach, da man alles am gleichen Platz findet. Das Update ber Wifi funktioniert recht gut, allerdings ist die Mac-Adresse sehr gut versteckt und kein Hinweis wo man die findet. Google fragen, dort wir es beschrieben. (Aber so was gehrt unbedingt in die Gebrauchsanweisung – und die gibt es allerdings auch nur im Netz)
Das Display reagiert nicht immer so souvern wie gewnscht – da hatte ich schon bessere Modelle von anderen Anbieter in der Hand.
Aber im groen und ganzen kann ich mit den kleinen Fehlern leben – Routing ist ziemlich perfekt – und bei anderen Herstellern luft auch mit alles rund.

Agrable manipuler et navigu dans les menus. crans agrable et clair en conduite. L’applications sur androide j’adore, plusieurs choix de route, on rgles galement le gabarit du vhicule comme dans le gps, une fois le choix effectu on le balance sur le gps, et lorsqu’on part le gps est oprationnel .
I have used tom tom for many years. Current car has Garmin pre-installed which has proved to be unreliable and the maps outdated, even the updated recent ones. Having a caravan I bought the Camper and have been very pleased. It is easy to use, reliable, updates quickly, gives alternative routes when asked immediately and so far has not given any misinformation. The only time I ended up at the wrong place was due to operator error. It is going onto the continent in June and I do not expect any issues
Mir ist bekannt, dass die Angaben zur Lieferung bei Amazon immer zutreffen. Doch bei meiner letzten Lieferung nach Portugal traf die Lieferung angegeben sogar noch eher ein als angeben worden war. Das ist super! Auch das Produkt entspricht meinen Erwartungen. Bin sehr zufrieden.
Trs satisfaits. Facile mettre en route, les mises jour sont aises avec le WiFi; utilisation du concept simple . Le guidage est clair, facile suivre. Par rapport celui que j’avais avant je plbiscite.
Das Routing ist manches mal berraschend, aber immer zielfhrend.

Gefahrenstellen und Blitzer. Die Distanz zum nchsten “Ereignis” wird genauso angezeigt, wie die Restkilometer zum
und die Ankunftszeit am Ziel
+ die Navigationsanzeigen sind bersichtlich und deutlich; ebenso die gesprochenen Anweisungen
+ eventuelle Zeitverzgerungen werden nahezu sekundengenau angezeigt
+ die Warnung vor mobilen Blitzern war (bisher) perfekt; zumindest auf Autobahnen. Auf Bundes- oder Landstraen
kann ich dazu nichts sagen, weil es bisher nicht vorkam.
+ auch die dynamische Routenfhrung zur Umfahrung klappt gut. Allerdings fnde ich es gut, wenn eine
Neuberechnung angekndigt wrde (bevor man mich von der Autobahn schickt) und ich die Wahl htte, mich
zwischen beiden Mglichkeiten zu entscheiden.
+ Updates ber WiFi ohne Computer
+/- Kartenupdates (hatte schon zwei) dauern mehrere Stunden. Also am besten ber Nacht laufen lassen
– der Touchscreen braucht manchmal ganz schn “Druck”, um zu reagieren. Das kann zumindest bei der Zieleingabe ein

This is my first stand alone Sat Nav and I was impressed with how easy it was to set up and enter destinations.
After the initial charge, I went to update the maps and connected to the internet and off it went. A short time later it was ready to go and I put in all my destinations, which was so easy. I had no problem with connecting it to the car but did find it complicated to set up the hands free connection to my phone..
Out on the road it’s great, the screen size is good, it picks up all the speed cameras and tells you how fast you are going.
The navigation system is exceptional and so, after some weeks no dead ends! Would recommend it to others.

Was ich nich gut finde, dass die POIS nicht vollstndig angezeigt werden.
Ansonsten gibt es nach den ersten Tests nichts zu beanstanden.
Does what it says on the tin. The Traffic information and routing is very good.
Ganz schlecht ist, dass beim erstmaligen Benutzen beim Fahren alle etwa 90 Sekunden der TomTom Werbefilm auftaucht und es keine Mglichkeit gibt, diesen abzuschalten, so muss man dauernd mit dem Finger auf den Touchscreen tippen, damit der Werbefilm wieder 90 Sekunden lang aufhrt, das ist verkehrsgefhrdend.
This comes with dashboard and windscreen mounts a USB and charger, it is a good size screen (6in) with a nice large display , easy to see big buttons. The first initial update can take a while but after that you are all set to go, you have 4 free updates a year and lifetime map updates , Tom Tom traffic and speed cameras which is a big plus,update by wifi as well as pc. Keep it plugged in when on the go as battery life is only an hour, I don’t see a car sign or camper van sign so that you know which mode you are in which would be handy. I would keep it on camper mode then there’s less chance of ending up on one of those cart tracks that sat navs like to surprise you with.
You can plan routes on your phone then auto sync uploads onto your sat nav as well, answer your phone on sat nav as well , all in all a nicely upgraded model from my old Tom Tom go.
Basic navigation is straightforward and the high resolution screen is crystal clear, even in low light conditions. The instructions and voice are easy to follow, but if you want to change the default display then this is a little more difficult. For example, switching between caravan-mode and car-mode could be easier.
We haven’t made full use of the ‘camper’ features, but the little we have used has been really useful, like identifying caravan friendly driving routes. I think as we get more familiar with the sat nav over time, we will find it more and more useful in our travels.
This is a versatile satnav for all sorts of vehicles (there is a ‘car’ mode in addition to the camper van features). Easy to set up, easy to use, with good features, and sturdily built. Recommended.
– Only one device linked to an email address/account needing multiple TomTom accounts;
– Updates taking days and having to be linked to a computer, done one at a time because multiple updates at the same time crash the software;
– The little arrow turning on the roundabout exit you’ve just passed
– the speaker not being loud enough to use as a Bluetooth device for the phone

Updates over Wi-fi instead of a link to a PC was a breeze taking about an hour instead of a day; the processor is fast enough to keep up with the actual driving position – no more missed junctions; and a speaker that you can hear.
All good? No, it gets better!
– Plan the route on your phone before you get in the car and auto sync uploads the router; no more sitting in the car while your passenger tut and puff waiting for the moment you can set off! Winner, especially when the audience is trained in the ways of sarcasm and irony.

– Phone notifications binging in your pocket? No, the appear on the screen of the SatNav.
On the negative side, you still only have a max, 1 hr battery life so if your charger pings out and you don’t notice, battery gone and the new device has superseded my existing device on my account even though I’d just bought speed camera updates for the old device a coupe of weeks prior.
But overall…..much much better!
Setup is really easy I especially like the choice of vehicle so it can be set for cars, motorhomes, cars and trailers as well as cars and caravans. Hopefully no more impossible roads when towing the caravan and changing it over to car once we’re setup on site. The one downside and why I scored only 4 stars is the fact it took 48 hours to do the initial updates. This wasn’t due to them being very large updates but that if you left it alone whilst it did the updates it would fail. In the end I had to stay with it and kept touching the screen so it wouldn’t fail. Since the bigger start up updates all the others have been very small and none have failed.
The screen being large and simple makes it very easy to use and read whilst driving I like the speed limit and actual driving speed function and the warning of speed cameras to ensure I check I am within the speed limit. I really like the average speed check as well when in areas of average speed check. When driving on major roads especially motorways it gives clear identification of which lane to be in etc. and the side panel, which can be extended, gives the distance mileage to next point identified on your planned journey.
To finish off with this TomTom is supported with 4 major updates a year for free whilst ever they support this model.
A great satnav for all vehicles.
