It was more compact than I realised my old one must have been a bit bigger. But does everything required and even has a shelf if I want to put 2 plates in at the same time. Really happy with my purchase

Nice compact unit and easy to use. Pretty good value for money. Like the addition of a shelf to enable the heating or cooking of two things at once. Our shelf was a little twisted but managed to sort it out to prevent rocking in situ.
Overall very happy so far and reassuring to know that there’s a 3 year warranty for peace of mind.

Was looking for a new microwave after our very old Swan developed rust and became impossible to clean.

I chose this one because of the stainless steel inner that won’t rust. It’s really easy to wipe clean and has stayed clean so far. I also like that it has a tray, so can warm up 2 meals at once.

I also like the fact it is simpile. There are other features, but the default is 800W so I just set the time and press start, that’s it.

I also like that it has a plate warmer feature, and that it as an eco feature that means it uses no power on standby, so don’t have to turn it off at the mains when not in use.

Overall, I am really pleased with this micowave.

This microwave is much smaller than I expected ,although that makes easier to sit in the corner, very easy to use but seems to be alittle erratic with heat settings ,3 minute popcorn burnt. Heating up a plate of food using the presets was still cold in the Middle.

I wanted to replace my previous microwave which was only 2 years old and already the inner coating had rusted and started to peel off. After much consideration thought that a machine with a stainless steel interior had to be the answer but they seemed to be very expensive or were overly complicated by including a grill which I didn’t want.
After much research came across this Tower model which seemed to incorporate everything I was searching for and had received good reviews. I have been very pleased by my purchase and would readily recommend it to others. It has a great interior which is super easy to wipe clean and very simple controls for basic microwave cooking and defrosting. It has other automatic cooking/defrosting options if required but I tend not to use those features.
My only word of caution is that it is quite a light machine and you need to pull the handle fairly forcibly to open the door which can cause the oven to move a little. This can be overcome simply by steadying the front of the microwave as you pull the handle towards you – no problem at all.
    An excellent purchase.

Purchased as a replacement for my bailey orion which had a daewoo one but the same microwave the thing that made me go with it again was that it’s got stainless interior so it wont rust like the enamel ones only thing i can grumble about is it seems that they have realised its a replacement for many caravans and made it again as daewoo stopped making them but charge a hefty price for them

There’s nothing to dislike. I wanted a simple machine with variable power and tha’s wat I got. The steel outer matches my cooker and the steel lining is easy to clean. Came next day, not expensive perfect for my needs.

A few people have asked about what it’s made of, Stainless steel inside the microwave, brushed steel inside the top of the inside. The outside front is Stainless steel and the outside is painted metal. Looks nice, the controls are really simple and it cooks things really well compared to our previous 700w microwave.
    Minor Issues
(1)It’s lightweight so opening the door makes the microwave move, sorted it out by putting some anti slip matting under the microwave.
(2)The door was out by 3mm on the right making it not level, just gently pulled the door up a little to level it.
(3)Plastic film is put on the outside whilst manufacturing and it takes a bit to get off.
These items don’t detract from it being a solid built and very usable microwave, but the build quality needs checking to make sure these issues aren’t there.
    Would still buy again.

This is a smart compact microwave that is very easy to use. The extra shelf is very useful and I like the fact that the microwave only beeps 3 times at the end of the time set and then just one beep as a reminder to open the door if you haven’t already done so. The reason I have given 4 stars is that sometimes the microwave moves slightly when I press Srart. I highly recommend this Tower microwave.

This is what sold it to me. Fed up of peeling and rusting interiors I opted for this model. It is simple and straightforward to use. You can program it to do fancy stuff but I just want something easy to handle. My daughter who has autism has picked it up in no time and I have had no problems either. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth. I am looking forward to many years of good service.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAlthough not a well-known name for microwave ovens, this unit is well made and has a stainless steel (not painted) interior, so it’s easy to clean and won’t suffer from paint shipping & corrosion (which my Panasonic did).

    Likes:
Brushed Steel front (top and sides is painted silver)
Pull handle (not button, which can trap fingers)
Rotary dial for timer – quicker & more intuitive than buttons.
    Auto-defrost by weight feature
Compact, but still a useful interior size.
    Good power at 800w
    Quiet
    3 year warranty

    Dislike:
    Door quite stiff
Slides around on the counter, needs rubber feet… I added some sticky ones.

I liked the appearance and materials. Stainless interiors are so practical. Controls appear uncluttered, but are a bit longwinded. I like to minimise my hand movements and concentration, but on this I have to set heat, set time, and then start on different knobs. At least two of these functions could be combined. Not intuitive.

Great microwave and easy to use. I do wish they would make microwaves which don’t need operation instructions though, ie where every feature is obvious or intuitive. That said no complaints with this.

Easy to see inside through door
Let’s see how long it lasts

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wanted a microwave and one that did not rust inside so I picked this one. Easy to use fast efficient and looks good. The door is not stainless on the inside so I will make sure I wipe that down. The back and front all made from stainless the cover (main body is powder coated steel and has a protective film on you must remove this ( you really cannot see it’s there and it covers the vents) The dual wave technology does heat quicker than my last 800 watt rust bucket which lasted 12 months. The bright interior light goes off when the door is open. 3 beeps to tell you when its done and no more. Timer 10 seconds minimum 59 min maximum. This is a really well thought out design from a british company and is nice looking. I will update this review if I come across any negatives which at this point there are none.

From our plant-based view-point a microwave oven makes a hugh difference by cooking greens , starches grains and pulses more quickly, more cheaply and in a way which preserves the nutrients in the food.
Being made of stainless steel throughout, this Tower KOR6N7RST is modestly priced and seems built to last .
It is very easy to use, to pre-set and to clean, large enough to take most cookware used for a couple.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAlthough there are lots of options I found I mainly use the knob to select the duration (second intervals) and the start button. It is a simple way for the elderly to use a microwave. It would be great if the light came on when the door was opened to let me see if it needed cleaned however the stainless steel does make cleaning easy. The light does come when food is being heated which makes it easy to view progress. Overall very happy with this purchase.

I received this item from the Amazon Vine Program.

    Brand: Tower

Packaging: 5/5 Arrived in it’s own brand packaging/ box.

    – Minimalistic design. Not complicated to use.
    – 800 W. Powerful enough for most uses.
    – Portable, lightweight and easy to move around.
    – 20L capacity which is enough for small family like ours.
    – Stainless steel concave which cooks/ reheats food faster & more evenly
    – Stainless interior which is more durable, does not absorb odour and flavour and easier to clean!

    – The microwave arrived with a dent on the side. The packaging was intact so dent was even before it was packed.

Overall: 4 stars. Simple to use & powerful enough with large capacity. Easy to clean too.

Easy to use and easy to clean.

As with any purchase, you purchase a product based on what you want and need from it.

I have problems with my finger joints and my previous microwave although touch control, was difficult to use for me as I struggled to press the buttons. Also it was difficult to open due to a press release button which I struggled to press and release the door catch.

This is brilliant for me and I would recommend to anyone who has issues with their hands/fingers.

The 6 push buttons on here are slightly raised buttons rather than flat touch buttons. Being actual buttons, they give the feedback that you are actually pressing them and they don’t need much pressure to respond. Then you have the round wheel, which again is so easy to twist to choose how much time you want. The wheel allows 10 second increments which is great rather than the normal 30 seconds increments as you have to guess and stop but sometimes go too far and you over heat your food/drink.

Finally, the large handle is easy enough for me to pull open the door!

As for the performance of the microwave, it does what I need it for efficiently. The short cuts work well and are easy and if you need a little extra cooking/heating/defrost time then the clock makes the topping up process simple too.

I love this microwave as it it so suited for my needs and would recommend it to anyone who have to take these things into consideration when buying products.

    1) This is a truly fabulous microwave, cooks and reheats superbly.
    2) I like just solo microwave for heating food only as it keeps the inside less messy.
    3) This is solid build and the door fully locks shut without a rattle.
    4) Inside is all stainless steel which are hard to find in a solo microwave.
    5) The operative functions are very user friendly and nice feel to it.
    6) Although this is a 20L microwave, it’s bigger inside with bigger dish than my previous Panasonic.
    7) Quite operation.
    8) All in all I would highly recommend you to buy this.
    9) Buttons and knob are pleasant to use. Also by pressing the start button once shows 30 sec then it auto starts and by pressing twice it goes to 1 min and so on. So easy.

I’ve not used a microwave for years, so thought it would be interesting to see how much use it would be to have one, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. This is a nicely compact microwave, which comes with the very handy addition of a middle shelf. This means you can heat up either two different items at once, or two plates of food. It has a variety of settings, and also an option for the microwave to steam clean itself.

So far it has been used to reheat leftovers, to melt chocolate for baking cakes, and to heat up wheat bags for sore muscles, and has worked perfectly every time. It’s quiet during operation and is easy to clean – and looks very smart sitting on the counter. Useful, versatile and so far seems very reliable, very happy with the new addition to my kitchen!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe concept of having an inner shelf, enabling two plates to be cooked at one time intrigued me because only ever having been able to cook one, this ability is brilliant.

Arriving nicely and securely packaged, with the inner shelf and glass plate turntable separately packaged within, my first impressions of this microwave were good. I had the black one and it looks nice, with a clear and detailed program panel on the front.

The turntable fits into a hole in the bottom of the microwave and was straightforward to install, with the glass plate sitting well on the top.
There are many different functions to set for cooking: several auto-cook settings done by weight, as well as many different power levels. There are also choices for defrost options, plus quick settings, such as 1 minute, 10 seconds etc.
The timer is displayed on a clear and bright screen, with all the buttons being touch controls.

I really like the eco mode function with its auto switch-off when not in use – and although it uses no energy on this mode (unlike stand-by), it comes straight back to life when the door is opened. Another really good aspect is the steam clean function. I haven’t yet had cause to use this function as yet, but it is definitely a nice to have option. Another great feature of this microwave is the concave interior which helps to reflect the microwaves to enable even cooking of two dishes. (Point to note: in the accompanying manual it does say that the inner shelf must be removed if it is not being used).

Cooking ability: everything I’ve cooked in so far over the last couple of weeks has turned out absolutely fine, so top marks for that.

The only issues I’ve had (which were noticeable immediately) is that the touch buttons are quite “sticky” – as in I had to press several buttons a few times before it picked up that I’d pressed them. The other thing was the door doesn’t seem to fully close 9 out of 10 times at the top right corner and I have to push this fully shut. These issues make me wonder how robust this will be over time, but we shall see!

Aside from that, this microwave has many good functions and I really do love the ability to be able to cook two things in one go.

Lots of functions and I love being able to cook two things at once.

This microwave feels larger inside than our previous microwave. It might just be the strong internal light which makes it appear bigger and which also illuminates the contents clearly. It is easy to operate with preset power settings and a quick cook setting which increases in steps of 30 seconds. If you don’t use quick cook then you set the power level and then the time and just press start. The cavity is easy to wipe down and it feels a good size. It fits all of the bowls and plates that we use, even the large dinner plates. When it is finished their is a single warning ping. Out old machine used to remind you by bleeping at regular intervals and because we got so used to this sometimes we forget that there is still something inside.

The instructions are also worth reading as they have a useful tabulated cooking guide so that you can get the best results from your microwave as well as a long list of warnings which includes not putting recycled paper into the machine as it might contain metal that could cause an arc and then a fire.

I think that it is excellent value for money given the design, capacity and power. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

To begin with, you can be fairly confident this will arrive intact. It came so snugly fitted in its box that two of us fought it for nearly fifteen minutes to extract it, before giving up and tearing a side down. The glass plates is also very well packaged and protected. Once we had it free, I loved the look of it. It isn’t much bigger than my old microwave, and fits neatly on the worktop; it is a very glossy black. I was a bit dubious to see that the shelf which allows you to have two dinner plates in it simultaneously was made of metal, but I have used it twice and had no issues at all – I assume it is coated. The manual was very clear, and I was able to get cracking with the cooking right away.

I started with defrosting, and found that very easy and efficient. I’ve tried it on frozen bread, meat, and veggies, and in all cases the food came out perfectly defrosted in the time recommended. Even a large joint of meat defrosted right to the centre in the expected time, though I rarely would use a microwave for that. I then tried warming food previously cooked and microwave meals, and was again very satisfied with the results. Finally I used it to cook food from scratch, which was also successful though in the case of an omelette I did need to cook it longer than I expected, but only by 30 seconds. Setting the power and time is very simple, though you will probably need a little practice to hit the active spot on each button at first.

Finally, cleaning it is very easy. I wiped it with a soft damp cloth after each use, but I did try the steam cleaning and was very impressed with the way it removed the odour from previous cooking. I have not cooked anything that has made it all that messy, though, so there were no tough stains to try it on.

So I have to say, I’m very happy with this overall. It looks good, is easy to clean and use, and does the job without fuss.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy last microwave was already tired and I certainly wanted to be replaced.

I liked it a lot especially because of its size, I like big plates because they look much better on the table, the same dishes are also ideal for putting things in the microwave because it helps to ensure that the contents remain on the plate and not inside the microwave, in addition, large microwaves also allow you to place bigger things like whole chicken and other things.

unexpectedly, I was given the opportunity to test a microwave with exactly the same power as my current microwave is slightly smaller than mine.

I didn’t waste any time thinking, I accepted the offer and I’m very happy with this microwave, because as I said before, it is practically the same as the one I had before, it is 100% new, it works wonderfully and it is the perfect color to match my kitchen.

One of the advantages of this new microwave is the transparency of the door glass.
When turned on, it is possible to see the interior with a clear clarity.
This allows you to better calculate the time to remove the thing that is being heated. I believe that everyone who has used the microwave has realized that they do not always know how long they should let their food warm up, especially liquids like milk.

Nice product, outside and inside, works well and is the ideal color for me.

In a pretty crowded field, there’s not too much to make this microwave stand-out. The shelf seems like a good concept, but never having had one in any previous microwave, I doubt we’ll ever use it. The Tower brand provides some reassurance on quality, and that all feels pretty good. It has all the features you’d expect of a unit at this price point. The extended warranty is a very nice touch, and might be one good reason to favour this against its rivals. But that said, in 40 years of ownership of various models, I’ve never had a microwave fail on me.

So why else might you choose this one? It looks quite stylish in black, so that might be a good reason. At 20l, it’s smallish, so might be ideal for a smaller kitchen. Otherwise it’s all pretty conventional. Nothing to fault that I can see and so no reason not to buy if it takes your fancy.

Absolutely brilliant microwave with 2 shelves. No other microwave on three market with this time saving feature. Needed a push button micro for arthritic hands and this works great. Easy to use and not too big for a compact kitchen. And got defrost option as well, really worthable microwave , highly recommended.

Needed a microwave replacement for a while now as the old one is rusting inside. So with this one it stainless inside so it’s much easyer to clean out plus hopfully won’t rust (depends on the stainless quality)

Outside is a nice finish too and love the simple buttoms and system they use as some micro waves come with to many settings and let’s be honest we will play about with different ones but in the end we use two functions reheat and defrost. And getting the old one to work felt like dialing in jump coordinates where this is simply turn the dial for 10 second increments or push the start button for 30 second increments. Defrost just as simple press defrost and turn the dial to set it.

This microwave works exactly as you need it to. Very easy to set up, easy to use and effective. I use it all the time for instant noodles and ready meals, and it hasn’t let me down. The interface with all the buttons is laid out nicely, and it does everything you need a standard microwave to do. It’s a little smaller than our old one, but large enough to fit in glass jugs or wider, large dinner plates.
The shelf is nice, which allows you to microwave two things at once. I don’t use it really, but I appreciate that the option is there. The plate doesn’t stay on all the time, but I’ve only had to correct its alignment a couple of times.
The microwave is just quite cheap quality. It’s definitely on the more affordable side of such appliances, but the ‘roof’ of ours can be bent in a little, which isn’t great. The button you push to open the thing feels incredibly cheap and plastic-y. Nevertheless, it serves a purpose, and it serves it well. It doesn’t feel like it’ll explode at any minute or something. Tower are a good company (we’ve had a toaster from them before), and they’ve done pretty well with this. Just bear in mind that, whilst it looks great and sleek, it doesn’t feel quite that good.

This is a great choice for those who are looking for a sleek modern appliance for the kitchen – but at the same time want a little bit more in the way of features than that of a standard microwave.

    Pros:
    * Having an integrated shelf space is so much more practical and such a clever way to reduce cooking time
    * The steam cleaning function is just fab — who wouldn’t love this?!
    * Relatively quiet in operation
    * Looks nice and modern
    * Easy to use once you’ve read through the instructions
    * Helpful instruction booklet with useful cooking charts and additional recipes
    * Has varied options (more so than standard microwaves)
    * Good defrost function (which I use a lot for bread and meats straight from the freezer)
    * Good time increments offered
    * Cooks well overall
    * The one-touch control panel makes it so simple and straightforward and takes the guesswork out of many food types
    * The zero power stand-by aspect is great (especially if you live with others who forget to turn off appliances!)
    * Priced very well for what it offers

    Cons:
    * Not really any cons as such, just an observation that this is visually quite a small microwave (which I note more compared to the one I replaced it with) However, with the dual aspect extra shelf, I think this more than makes up for it.

Overall, I think this is the perfect choice for single people or couples due to its more compact size. However, it’s also ideal for those looking for a microwave that goes that extra mile to make cooking food (and of course cleaning the appliance) all the easier!
    Highly recommended.

This is a 20 litre capacity microwave from Tower with an additional shelf, that enables you to cook/heat 2 dishes at once. The shelf is stainless steel and it sits on brackets in the top half of the microwave. The shelf needs to be removed if you are using the microwave to reheat beverages, like a cup of tea-otherwise the cup will not fit on the turntable. The turntable is easy to install and is made of solid glass and sits atop its own roller bracket.I like the black finish of the microwave it looks quite smart and pleasing to the eye, more so than my previous Sharp microwave.Another positive feature is the weight,it is much lighter than my Sharp microweave.
I like the energy saving function on this microwave,in order to turn it on at the display, you need to open the microwave door, otherwise it will stay off.Additionally,it automatically switches itslef off after 2 mnutes of nin-usage/inactivity.
This microwave is very easy to use, just a case of utilizing the touch buttons on the led display. You have reheat buttons to follow a set program,a 30 second increment reheat button.
The microwave has a maximum power of 800 watts and this can be regulated to a lower wattage by pressing the power button more than once, the new wattage is then displayed on the touch screen display.
Also available are set auto cook buttons/programs for different categories of food like bread, soup etc.
The timer is also fully adjustable via 3 buttons: 10 seconds,or 1 minute,or 10 minutes.
Defrost programmes are also available as is an interesting steam cleaning button.
Thus far,I have used the microwave to reheat a cup of cold peppermint tea and to cook/melt toppings on pitta bread.
As I explore more functions of the microwave I will further update this review.
This microwave also comes supplied with a 3 year guarantee.
Thus far, very happy with this microwave and have replaced my Sharp microwave with this.

This Tower Microwave is terrific value for money. It looks smart, is easy to set up and heats or cooks well.
The interior shelf mans you can heat up two meals at the same time, at last a microwave company that has thought of that. I haven’t used all of the cooking programs and doubt I ever will but for the simple re-heating and cooking I do it is superb. The shelf comes out for bigger items.
The auto steam clean is another great idea and I hope people give Tower a go, they make a decent microwave with really useful features, ones that make life simpler, excellent product that I would have paid quite a bit more for, makes me wonder if there is a catch. Great Microwave at a Bargain Price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis arrived sounding terrible — something was rattling around inside the box. It turned out that this was the plate holder for the turntable, which wasn’t packaged in any way and hadn’t been secured. Hadn’t caused/been subject to any damage I could see, but that was potentially more luck than judgement, because this part was just rattling around inside the housing. The microwave isn’t bad looking, if you like shiny black gadgets. The black colour of the housing is shiny rather than matte. The sides flex a bit, and don’t feel as strong as they could.

The turntable holder is quite large, but also flimsy feeling. It does the job that in a lot of microwaves is that of two parts: the turntable coupling and a rotating ring. The microwave is compact, but nevertheless (thanks to the concave shaping of the internal walls) will accommodate my parents’ 12″ dinner plates. This is impressive, as the only other microwave we’ve owned that could hold these larger plates was a 40l item that occupied a ridiculous amount of worktop space. The description indicates that the microwave will accommodate standard plates without actually giving a definition of ‘standard’. I’d have said my parents’ 12″ (30cm) plates were on the large side, but these fit.

I like the fact that this has a green digital display — it’s a personal thing, but I loathe red displays (which I think look evil when you face them in the dark if you get up mid-night) and have actively avoided buying products that have red character displays my entire adult life.

The manual accompanying this is badly written. It needs to be rejigged to make it flow sensibly, and to address issues not clearly described. The safety section at the beginning includes two points on popcorn, and two points on hot drinks — yet in both cases bullets relating to the same issue are separated by other details. This seems illogical. I also have questions about one of the instructions with regard to eggs which seems to indicate that egg yolks need to be pierced before microwaving. My Dad has poached his eggs in the microwave for years, and has never seen this suggestion before. Do Tower really claim that you effectively can’t make decent, runny, microwave poached eggs in their product, because you have to pierce the yolks before cooking? Also, the manual indicates that this needs space around the vents in the sides and back, but gives no indication of how much space. Don’t block the vents is clear, but this could be more helpful.

The biggest questions I had about this microwave were in relation to the shelf. The shelf is metal. I bought a microwave for work that has a metal shelf, but that one is a multifunction oven with grill/baking ability and the shelf can only be used when NOT microwaving. This microwave does not have alternative functions — yet there is a metal shelf. Normally metal is something to be actively avoided in a microwave. The manual only refers to the dual cooking shelf capacity in a section titled ‘one serving’, making clear that this function should only be used for warming food — but without explanation of suitable/safe temperature/ cooking duration. More time is spent on a description of cooking techniques and timings for microwave steaming vegetables than explaining the safe use of this unusual feature — leaving me afraid to use it.

I note that some reviews express concern regarding the manufacturer’s willingness to address warranty issues. If I’d bought this and experienced an issue, in the first instance I would raise this with Amazon: vendor shares responsibility (though presumably will ultimately obtain redress from manufacturer) in the first year of warranty. In my experience, Amazon are really good on this front and there’s no way they aren’t resolving this with the manufacturer.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersChoice is limited if you want a small solo microwave with a stainless steel interior, but this one fits the bill, looks neat, is simple to use and does what you’d expect of it. I like the fact that the timer has 10 second increments, which some smaller models do not.

The only thing I did not like about this is that the light does not come on when you open the door, you have to wait until it is switched on, which makes it difficult to see inside when cleaning the oven.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersArrived today, looks nice, especially the stainless steel cavity, which was the reason for purchase and works perfectly. I could only find two microwaves with a stainless steel interior available on Amazon and the other one was a Bosch, which was smaller at 17 litres and very expensive at 149, so went for the no-name, unreviewed model instead at 94. I’ll update this review if I have any problems with it over the coming months, and the only reason I have gone for 4 stars and not 5, is when I registered my ‘3 year guarantee’ I received an email confirming my ‘1 year guarantee’… I have a query in with their customer service team to sort it, the outcome of which will cause my score to go up or down! Update, Email now received confirming the guarantee is for 3 years, so amended review to 5 stars as is in daily use and performing as expected.
