bought this because of the name, been a joiner for 40 years. However i was very disappointed in the fact that nowhere does it mention it would accept older routers. I intended to use my sturdy BOSCH GOF 1300w ACE router, but it will not fit onto the table, no matter how much i try. At the middle of the instruction manual there is a list of acceptable routers, TREND X2, DE WALT, PERLESS, ELU. So now if i want to use the table i have to buy another router, TREND at 522 .00 !!! Will have to put to one side until i can afford one !
Sturdy unit and for the price it’s a great addition to a wood working set up
Excellent manufacture, really nicely finished and very precise. I am using it with a Makita rt0700c palm router, the plunge base can be mounted using two 8mm rods clamped to underside of table plate using a custom built mdf clamp system, it requires time to build but seems a better option than drilling new holes in aluminium, especially if you don’t own a drill press. I wish Trend sold this with a more widely compatible plate but still a perfect choice if you’re looking for a compact router table. Recommended.
It is a good router table. But it is full of flaws, those you can overcome if you want. Look at my pictures.
I mounted cheap Einhell router, but to achieve this, I needed to permanently modify it. I removed it’s tension springs, and had to drill a holes in router’s basement where they are not supposed to be. For this I used Dremel and lots of patience, because those holes needs to go though not an equal surface, but be precise so the turning bit ends up in the exact center. Additionally, some (!) of bit rings are too thick, so I had to permanently remove 2mm aluminium border from Einhell router, which is around the bit (see the photo, showed with four arrows). Also I had to drill a new hole on the router plate and thread it. And I had to make custom screws in order to mount the router right. The router plate is a soft aluminium, so if you thread it, you should use the whole surface of the thread otherwise it might just break. So it took me a while to fit it in right. 🙂
Second, the table makers thinks that the Europe on British socket, so their start/stop relay accepts only British socket (see the photo). Again, I had to cut the wire from my router and reinstall the socket: British on the router, and European on the relay. Took me few Euro more.
Maker of this table didn’t do a great job either: they pre-drill the holes like they would have no idea what they are doing. Seems they got it right on the fifth time, leaving behind many random holes with an effect of a wood worm work.
Additionally, they shipped wrong screws with a missing right ones. Screws to mount the relay was entirely wrong and the thread was over painted so much that I had to re-thread it, to avoid risking permanently damaging the thread. The screws themselves were not fitting right so I took my own ones and trimmed them to the right size.
Instructions are not always valid and assemble of the table require some time to figure out how they supposed to put that all together.
I like the fence, tools for it and the table overall. But it just happens to be strange dimensions, so you cannot easily replace weak MDF with the aluminium bar in a future without doing some extra milling on your own.
While I like it, I don’t love it. So I would not really buy it again or recommend to anyone. You can find much cheaper alternative without any significant regression that you cannot improve it yourself, tune for your router and not worrying that the current table is best suitable for Trend routers only.
Hope this feedback helps to you and to it’s makers. Bye.
One issue is the socket on the nvr switch is very far back in its enclosure. This means the mounting bolt that affixes the switch to the table fouls the router plug. Not a big deal if the router is going to be fixed. If you need to remove the router plug you will need to modify the supplied bolt or use epoxy to affix the mounting bracket.
I have attached the Trend Base Configuration dimensions which the base if pre-drilled for. Other bases may suit if you are prepared to drill your own holes
Now these tables are designed for a trend router with the pre counter sink holes already drilled. I have a Mac Allister router so had to drill three holes in the template to accommodate it. The problem after that was reaching underneath with a spanner to change the bit and adjust the height which as we know is millimetres. I solved the problem of height adjustment by positioning a scissor jack from my car and use a ratchet spanner for adjustment . Simple, cheap and effective. You can purchase a scissor jack for 12 from Amazon. Hope this helps. Otherwise it’s a fantastic table and I’d highly recommended it. Fast delivery.
I liked the compact size of the table. The build quality is very good. Was well packaged all neat and tidy. Was able to spread the cost over five interest free months. The fence is strong metal, the mitre guide fits snugly in it’s track. Two EDGE planing rods were missing from the contents list this was disappointing. One email to trend customer services giving all the missing part numbers and proof of purchase resulted in a next day delivery of the missing parts. Absolutely brilliant response from Trend. You get what you pay for.
Table is surprisingly heavy duty (and physically heavy) despite it’s small size. Test cuts were actually really good and accurate.
However, the instructions are absolutely awful. No real order of what bits are in what bags either so it’s genuinely total guess work on what you use to fit it together. I’d like to think I’m fairly competent but I have a load of bolts left over that I have no idea where they are supposed to go, yet the table appears to be completed…
Once together (after a full day of putting it together and drilling the plate to fit my router) it works really well. Dust collection is really good too.
Have only tried a few test cuts so far but seems good and worth the effort (and swearing..) in the build.
Will construct a proper outfeed table combination for this and my table saw which should make this even easier to use.
Lovely table, just please Trend sort out the instructions and label some bags!!
Perfect, mounted my t10 easy enough, runs true and accurate, 5
Great piece of kit very sturdy. After fully assembled I found the push stick was missing. As other reviewers had items missing this was not so essential as I could make one, but when you pay for a item you expect everything to be there.
Dust extraction is very good but not perfect. I have yet to find perfect dust extraction. It’s a very simple job to clad the frame in thin MDF to contain dust and shavings to keep your workspace clean and tidy. I really like the fine height adjuster, which as far as I know only works with the T11 router. All the other aspects of this table are good. So all-in-all this is money very well spent. The only caveat is that if I didn’t have a T11 router I might shop about for something cheaper, especially if modding the plate is necessary.
WELL PLEASED WITH ITEM JUST NEED TO FIND A HOME FOR IT
Good quality table but had to adapt it to fit my router . Only trend routers fit without adaptation.
Fantastic way to keep him out of my way and in the garage lol
There are some really hopeless cheaper router tables about so I see this as a minimum spend. It’s rock solid, stable and flat on the top. Setting the router plate level does need a lot of care. Best to have something that can measure that it’s level really. It does sit rather high on a bench – at around elbow height reaching some what as my arms would be using it. I’m about 6ft 2. If too heigh I’ll probably make a stand for it and use that to sit and ponder on when the table isn’t on it. 😉 Sort of big, tall square stool. The alternative is to buy the one on a stand.
It comes with decent gear. The mitre guide has adjustable +/- 45 and 90 degree stops. Good fence and feather boards. It also has a hole large enough for panel raising cutters etc. The fence scale is in an ideal place for making small adjustments. No micro adjuster available but if needed I could knock one up or maybe adapt one intended for another table.
I’ve added a few things. Another set of feathers from amazon circa 15. Couple of T bolts for the mitre guide slots for if I need to set a feather rather high. Also a Kreg end stop as going cheap hoping it would fit. It does but one of the fence clamps needs around 6mm spacer under it so that it can be move along without hitting it. As I needed 2 dust extractors and one of the Trend ones was on an excellent offer I bought one and the Trend table parts for connecting it. As the hose was too long I cut some off and added the parts needed to use with the table.
Bad points – none really but some buts. The plastic inserts are click fit. Harder to get in and out for cutter changes without the usual method of a spanner under the table. They sit around 0.2mm low compared with the router plate. Sometimes that’s a problem when too much pressure is applied with a fingerboard. One solution can be one pair going in and another pair come out both sides a bit clear of the insert. Lastly can’t understand why they can’t supply a version with an undrilled router plate. Trend’s own will fit directly.
One thing with kit like this – bit of a pain fitting and removing the router. as needed. I find on a much smaller old table I have that elu used to produce that it spends most of it’s time in it. That one is about 250mm square. I now need to make some rather long parts and also later use much larger cutters. So after around 30 years of using that one now and again bought this one.

All in all, highly recommended.
Does exactly what you need it to do, easy build, easy to operate – take your time and learn the features and functionality this provides.
Solid bench and great quality. My router wasn’t on the list compatible with this bench ( Festoul) but I simply drilled out the appropriate holes to suit. I would highly recommend this item
Sturdy, solid and flat with a great fence and anodised aluminium insert.
US product so measures up in Imperial. Insert is 12″ x 9″ with a 4″ hole + reducers.
My Hitatchi MV12VE was unsupported so I had to drill and countersink the insert. 160mm center to center on the diagonal for the mv12.
Instruction manual is rubbish.
Works a treat.
Seems OK not yet really had mutch chance to do mutch on it but noticed can’t change router bit while in table
Tres bon produit qui correspond a ce que je recherchais, avec des delais de livraison respects voila pourqoi je met 5 toiles
High quality and stable table for milling, good price for equipment that was supplied, border rack is made of aluminum which has filed important for precision tuning. I am very satisfied, recommendations
The finger boards and push stick appear to be decent quality, however the mitre fence doesn’t scream accuracy and isn’t the closest fit in the track. The rear fence is very easy to adjust and holds position well once tightened. The mounting plate adjustment grub screws make it easy enough to set flush and level.
I have mounted mine on a homemade wheeled trolley to bring it up to a usable height and keep it out of the way when not required.
I bought this to set up a hobby workshop in retirement. Assembly was only marginally aided by the instruction manual. The illustrations are too small. It is difficult to recognise the different nuts and bolts from the pictures. Lots of paper wasted on the pointless safety advice, printed in every european language. No one would read these, but, everyone wants to read the guidance for assembly. Having used it successfully a few times, i’m happy with the table. It is sturdy, and reasonably accurate. Anyone who is familiar with a router table, and has time, could make one quite easily, and for a lower cost. However, if, like me, you require a sturdy and functional table, quickly, this is a good buy.
The desk is now on lockable wheels
ice little table had to adapt it for my makita router apart from that is brillia
Very fast delivery. Good quality product. Assembly takes about 30 minutes. They supply a small spanner, but you would be better with a socket set to do the bolts up. The main reason I bought this was I didn’t have time to make one, and you get decent fences and a very good mounting plate for the money. Amazon price was very competitive with specialist too suppliers and next day delivery was spot on. Recommended.
I researched before I ordered this item. It is a well made unit and I am very pleased with
it’s capability to do the job. My router fits easily and produces great end results. Well done Trend
good value for a great product.
well made and easy to assemble. Levelling the legs to the body was ok – just assemble with the bolts loose to start with. Works well and the no volt electric switch excellent. Manual ok but could do with more detail on setting up and using the features (such as planing).
I was pleased with it when it arrived, the as I said before the price was right. I would recommend and use this company again.
I am glad to have support of other reviewers who praise Trend, which appears to be a British product and a good one. Have also purchased a Trend T10 MEK 1/2″ Router, which is claimed to be compatible with their table. Unfortunately, my router cutters are 1/4″, so my research was not up to scratch at all. Onwards to the next buy!
