Cost: Analog cameras tend to cost less, sometimes even a lot less, than their digital counterparts.
Simplicity: DVR is easier to set up and understand for most.
Lower Bandwidth Requirements: Analog recorded video files tend to be smaller, and they are transmitted to the DVR over coax instead of LAN, so transmitting them doesn’t take as much bandwidth. Plus, DVRs also usually only transmit the information and use bandwidth when someone is viewing the video, rather than on a more constant basis
- Not to worry about the compatibility issues any more as long as there is a standard BNC cabling connection in your old system.
- The DVR is also compatible with all Sansco cameras, and most IP security cameras, simply hard wire your IP cameras to your router and start accessing on your DVR.
- DVRs signals are much more stable, compared with wireless NVRs.

Spictical on the price, 100% better than my 3yr old Swann system, put my own 1tb hard drive in works perfectly.
Picture day and night clear, setup so easy with the QR codes on screen one with app store so you can use it on tablet or phone anywhere. Works with old Swann cameras. Sound inputs,face detection, motion, easier to find recordings. Can change names on each camera on the app instantly on tv screen. Lots in menu. Only thing is that the mouse lead to short, I use a wireless one .

Works really well. Easy to navigate through menu and view recordings ect. Had a slight problem with a camera after a year of owning it but manufacturer swiftly helped me resolve it. All in all a good system.
This is one of the cheapest sets around given that you receive 4 cameras and DVR for just over 100. It’s worth noting that a hard drive isn’t included though.
The recorded footage is great – very sharp. Each camera records at 2MP in HD. The night vision is also very good. The cameras themselves seem robust. The motion detection on it appears to be intelligent which means that it is less likely to pick up events occurring that wouldn’t be classes as unusual human activity. A great feature is that the cameras can operate even without internet. Internet is only required if need access it via phone. This is great for us as we have them installed in a newly built house that we are yet to fully set up the internet there. Happy with these so far and may look to expand the system soon.
