USB C Docking Station Dual HDMI 11 in 1 USB C Hub Multiport Adapter Dock Dual Monitor Laptop Docking Station with 2 HDMI+VGA RJ45 Ethernet USB 3.1/ 2.0 100W PD for MacBook, Dell, Surface
Excellent bit of kit for laptops with limited usb/hdmi ports. Simply plug and play and dual screens work with the correct leads. The additional USB ports allow bot data transfer and charging so if you have a headset it will work on teams or other applications. This will get warm especially when connecting the Ethernet cable as data transfer creates heat.
Unit works well. Occasional drop out of VGA connection, but that could be the cables.
The unit draws power from the USB connection so make sure you plug your laptop in. It also gets very warm so unplug when not in use.
Just received the 12-in-1 docking station. I had ordered a 10-in-1 for another setup previously. I travel a lot so this lightweight dock is amazing. I plugged in the mouse, monitor, USB charger for 2 of my phones… So far so good.
I am a bit concerned about the reviews which indicated that the device gets hot. I hope I don’t experience that.
Very good product overall, I am using it extending across 2 monitors using VGA and HDMI, runs perfectly and seems well built.
One question I had that the seller could not answer was could you charge your phone using the USB-C port on the adaptor while having everything else connected and the answer is yes you can.
I bought this to use with my Huawei MateBook Pro 2020 model. I want to drive 2 monitors and it’s a cracking hub which does it perfectly along with loads of other ports. I run the laptop charger through the hub which works fine and doesn’t seem to get hot at all. I would highly recommend this hub for the price.
I needed a solution as my company IT Dept bought me a HP Probook (new version) which hasn’t got a docking station capability! I bought various adapters for the monitors so I could connect them both to the laptop, but only the vga-to-hdmi was recognised by the laptop and the vga-to-usb-c didn’t work at all as it wasn’t recognised! Bought this dock and plugged everything in and WOW, thank god I now have fully functioning three screen setup (including laptop screen). I have one monitor plugged straight into the vga port, and one using an hdmi adapter plugged into HDMI; LAN Cable plugged in; and three usb devices AND my speaker audio capable, and everything works a treat!! Plug and play too, on my laptop anyway, so very easy to use. I’m very happy with this!!
Bought as used to using dual screen in the office but the laptops given to work from home only had 1 Ctype USB port available. This allowed me to plug my gaming monitor in as a Second screen and still have use of a USB enabled mouse keyboard and charging capability. Reading reviews I was worried about how warm it would get but it’s running 10hrs a day with no issues. The connector is a little small but not issue if working from a desktop.
I bought this to use my USB-A peripherals with a Huawei Matebook 13, mouse, USB sticks, external DVD burner etc … the “legacy” stuff we all have. Plug the power into the input in the dock, power out to the power input on the Matebook, and there you go … also leaves the other USB-C port on the laptop free. OK, it takes up extra space on your desk or whatever but for what I need it doesn’t have to be plugged in all the time. Just when you prefer to use a mouse over touchpad or transfer some data.
This little device has been great for freeing up space on our working from home desk. It worked out of the box, just plugged it into a USB-C on the laptop and then everything else into the dock. Works perfectly. Bit pricey but it saves a lot of space. We do intend to mount it under the desk at some point to save more space have a cleaner desk top.
I have a Lenovo x390 and wanted to have 3 external monitors. I was able to use the HDMI and VGA on the doc but for some reason the second HDMI on the doc didn’t provide an output for me, but if I used the onboard HDMI on the laptop also and closed my laptop screen, Bingo.. it works great. Also able to power all my USBs and mini usb. Very happy with it.
Great piece of kit that has improved my working from home experience.
My desk is far tidier and I have full use of all my equipment now.
I’m using a monitor via HDMI, another via VGA and also have a phone charger and mouse connected via USB.
Very easy to set up and working very well. Recommended.
Awesome just awesome, i now have 3 different pc screens. I use this for my HP Elite book and use two 24″ monitors. So easy to set up and use. Definite value for money.
This ia a good plug in play uinit that works vrry well have never had one before but this one is easy to use and work with takes up little space and works from computer power very happy
A good dock for the price. I have the laptop power plugged in to this, along with a Jabra voice cancelling speakerphone and an external monitor. For some reason it doesn’t work with the dongle for my wireless mouse. Otherwise all is well, but it does get hot after a while so not sure how long it will last. Decent option for the price.
I bought this to enhance the ability of my devices to connect to disks, sd cards and external screens. It works well for all my needs, and has good performance. I like the way that the power delivery to the hub provides power for the disk drives and for the Mac or iPad itself. A useful little hub which seems to be of good quality.
I use this product on a HP Laptop, it is compact and fits into my laptop bag, works well with the devices I have tested so far would recommend this produc
Absolutely perfect.
Within minutes I was running two extended monitors off my Chromebook, audio jack, keyboard and mouse connected, and camera attached.
An excellent product. Delivered rapidly and worked perfectly straight from the box. The range of connections provided from this single hub covers all my needs. Exactly what I was looking for, at the right price. I recommend it strongly.
This is a really good product that allows you to use multiple screens with no fuss at all. Plug a usb device in and your pc will pick up straight away. Nice and easy little product that doesn’t get in the way with a good size wire to hide it around the back of my monitor.
I have a HP ENVY x360 15″ laptop with very few ports so needed a USB-C Hub dock for expansion and this ii ideal. The Ethernet Gbe works as good if not better than the USB-C adapter Gbe standalone thats now been redundant. I have used the HDMI, USB 2.0 USB-C and USB 3.0 ports and they all work fine.. SD and mSD ports. All works fine.
Its quite solid metallic and had some weight to it. It is USB-C port powered so no extra cables. My only issue is perhaps the stuffness of the connecting USB-C cable to the laptop. Ideally I would like it a little more flexible and longer but this is probably me just being picky. Just feels quality out of the box. I wish they would dump thh VGA port as seriously who is using that nowadays?
You can’t go wrong with this though.
Oh yes I am using Win 10 Home 64 Bit, no drivers required and this is the latest build of windows as of FEB 2021 with zero issues but using an AMD Ryzen CPU. I hope that helps?
I bought this to use with my Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook and it works flawlessly. When on my desk at home I can now use dual monitor mode, charge it, and have sound and an ethernet connection to my network all via the one USB C cable. I needed a decent solution for a reasonable price, and this has delivered on all fronts.
This is a good product. I was skeptical because of so many similar ones on the market, but so far (I have had it for about 3 weeks) it seems to work easily and very well. I am using a mac running Big Sur, and yes, all is well. I have not used it to test multiple displays yet but have used it as a USB hub to run several hard drives and a sound card and to transfer information from sd cards and the connection is good and fast, powered feature working well and worked without any hassles or downloading of drivers.
Overall it “does what it says on the tin”. At this stage I have found no faults, though I might add for the VGA port, maybe one screw retainer, if only to hold it securely.
I bought this to tidy up my home office and allow me to plug and unplug my laptop from all peripherals easily rather than having to disconnect half a dozen wires when I switch from work mode to sitting on the sofa using my machine for leisure.
The device itself is smart and feels well made, even if its a little smaller and slightly less solid than it looks in the pictures.
The gigabit ethernet port and wide array of USB ports is really handy and while I doubt I’d use the card reader I guess it will be useful for some. Where this really looked to be a bonus for me is the two HDMI ports (as well as a VGA out for older connections) – it promised the ability to hook up two external monitors, and all of this through a single USB-C connector.
That was the theory anyway but in reality I couldn’t get any signal through either HDMI port and instead Windows 10 kept telling me that the device may have limited functionality and linking me to a page explaining about “alternate modes” for USB-C and to check that the device, cable and host computer all supported alternate modes. I’d never heard of this before so tried to check the documentation for my HP laptop but there was no mention of such a thing. I tried HP support and they couldn’t tell me either. I did find a website that said to check if there’s anything marked next to the USB-C port and if there is a “D” next to it then it supports display port functionality. Despite being a brand new model HP laptop, mine had no such marking so I had to conclude that it is not supported.
I appreciate this isn’t the fault of this hub and if yours does support the right mode then it is probably a great purchase. In my case I returned it and instead went for the bulkier and slightly older WAVLINK USB 3.0 Universal Docking Station which worked like a charm (albeit it lacks USB-C out and card reader ports and only has one HDMI port rather than two but has an extra DVI port which can be connected to an HDMI device anyway)
This is a really well made and versatile docking station, providing almost every input/output that anyone could want. Fast and simple to use. Really good.
Very solid, handy and easy to use product! Amazing value for money.
Only thing is probably the cable is a bit short and if you have a laptop that has a USB-C charger and only 1 usb-c port available, you won’t be able to use i
Works very well with an HP Elitebook 830 G7. Driving two external screen, one via HDMI, and one using VGA output, and using a KVM switch to connect keyboard and mouse
dont bother with those expensive thunderbolt docks that only have a few ports on them, just get yourself one of these. it works flawlessly and lives on my desk as i have it connected to my dual monitor setup.
Didn’t quite know what to expect at this price, but it does drive two HD monitors along with a couple other USB devices. It starts to choke when I attach a USB HD capture card to it, which isn’t entirely a surprise, but I was able to connect it to my last USB-A 3.0 port on the laptop itself as a workaround. Not as nice as a proper Thunderbolt dock, but it’s also a fifth of the price.
Exactly as expected. No setup issues just plugged straight in, driver automatically installed.
Using with new 4k60Hz monitor and multiple USB3.0 devices.
Tested this device after 4 usb c hub and the only which ticks all the following:
1) detects 3.5mm headphone.(the only one that does)
2) works on Note 20 ultra (dex on connection) as well as on windows 10 HP work book on plug and play.
It’s working great so far. I’m using it a mouse, keyboard webcam, ethernet cable, headphones, and 2 hdmi monitors. On my Dell XPS 13 the extend feature works perfectly. On my Macbook Pro 13 it extends 1 desktop which is mirrored in both monitors which was described in the description. Overall its a great product for docking laptops.
This adaptor has every possible port you could hope for! I mainly use the card readers, USB ports, headphone jack and HDMI port for multiple screens and haven’t had any issues.
The adaptor itself has a good weight to it and feels very sturdy. It’s not made from cheap plastic for sure.
The one improvement I think that could be made is the connector wire – I think it would benefit from being reinforced to give it some longevity. The cable is quite stiff and doesn’t bend well, and I think over time it could split easier than other cables.
I got this to help bolster my Working From Home setup – and allow me to connect my work laptop to dual 22 inch monitors that I already had.
There are plenty of ports, both video out (up to three via 2 x HDMI and 1 x VGA) and three USB ports. There is also and SD card reader and an ethernet jack (plus a few others).
The port adapter is well made, and has a nice premium feel to it. But then for the price you might expect that.
I have connected it to my Windows 10 Dell laptop, and its been really good. Everything (nearly) works as it should, it doesn’t overheat (to gets warm but not so much as to cause concern). I have a mouse, conference speaker, keyboard and Webcam attached, as well as the previously mentioned dual monitors.
The only slight issue / draw back is that it doesn’t come with a power input source – its USB powered, and a nice USB C power brick would have done the job nicely – however, that would probably have pushed the price up – so all in all I didn’t mind getting a separate one. To my comment of everything nearly working – for some reason i get an error occasionally on my laptop saying that the power input is less then optimal, and this then sees Windows failing miserable to do power management. This has happened with a range of power bricks with more then enough oomph, so I can only assume its the adapter to blame – however, in the long run, the errors have gone away, and it is powering my laptop well.
Overall really pleased, has helped finish my WFH setup and has meant that i can remain productive (well as productive as you can be with two small children and two dogs running around).
The product I initially received was defaulty.
After reaching out to the seller, he sent me another one back. I received a replacement item which works perfectly, looks good and is what I expected.
My boss recently purchased a very slim and stylish laptop and it is great, however, it doesn’t have as many USB holes as he really needs, so this is great to bring along when those are required. It’s slim, but sturdy and it seems well made.
All plugs work and it’s a convenient extra
This SELORE USB C Hub Multiport Adapter has helped my working from home situation less stressful! During the lockdown, like many other office-based workers, I have been working from home and found my MacBook Pro just didn’t have enough ports for various tasks throughout the day. But with this SELORE product, I have been able to connect my Macbook directly to my wireless mouse (using a USB dongle), 2nd LG monitor (using an HDMI port), a memory stick (using the USB port) and direct to my wifi hub (using the ethernet cable port). The adaptor does get warm, but that is to be expected but doesn’t overheat like some adaptors I have had. It appears to be made with good quality components, and as I return back to more normal ways of working, I will be taking this in my laptop bag. I highly recommend this product.
Really good product to tidy up the amount of wires going into my laptop. I use most of the ports all the time which does mean that it runs hot but I haven’t noticed any performance issues. The reason for deducting a star is that I got feedback on colleagues that they could hear static on the line when I used the headphone jack
Nice looking and very useful hub. More than enough ports for what we need and it takes up little to no room which is a bonus on an already cluttered desk. No problem with devices being recognised and overall we’re delighted with it. Highly recommend.
Large selection of ports
Conforms to specification
87W charging
3 video outputs
Con:
No displayport
Expensive
——————-
The main difference between this and most other USB-C hubs is that this offers direct multi-monitor support, with 3 video outputs in total. One of the HDMI does up tp 4K 60hz, the other 4K 30hz, and the VGA is guaranteed up to 1080 60hz. If you run all three at once then it is at 1080 60hz for all three outputs. Output supports both Mirror and Extend modes.
It also unusually has a 3.5mm jack, which is nice to have. The power transfer is maximum of 87W for charging your laptop/tablet.
I tested data transfer speeds and they are all within specification, including the card readers.
The unit gets slightly warm in use, particularly when charging, but nothing to worry about.
The only problem I have with this device is the price, which at 55 is a bit steep. Make sure you really require all the ports, or if you could do with something cheap.. However, it does offer a huge amount of flexibility, the only thing lacking is a displayport.
Outstanding performance with a design that has been very well done and carefully considered. The hub offers 2 USB3 ports with the full 5Gb/s and these are USB2.0 and USB1.1 backward compatible. The hub has also 2 USB2.0 ports with full 480Mb/s data rates – these are ideal for old pen drives or WiFi connected devices like for keyboard/mouse. Two further ports are for memory cards SD and microSD with read rates of 50-104MB/s and write rates of 30-80MB/s. CTIA standard 3.5mm jack is next to the lead to the PC/Mac/tablet and is an Audio/microphone port. If that wasn’t enough a 1Gb/s Ethernet port is included on the other end. The mainstay of this hub is the display video outputs 2 HDMI ports and one VGA port. The two HDMI ports are different one is full 4K 60Hz the other 4K 30Hz. The VGA is HD 1080P 60Hz. Various modes can be configured across all three (SST and MST) so you can mirror, extend or operate different displays – note MacOS doesnt support MST. I love this flexibility as its a powerful addition to this hub and for this alone its worth its cost. Lastly there is a single USB-C port for 96W PD3.0 upstream power charging provision (external 100W PSU is not supplied, you use your current PSU and charge your laptop/tablet through this port. There is a tiny hole next to the right most USB3.0 port which is not explained anywhere – i think it is a reset button. The whole hub is in a lovelly aluminium case. The manufacturer describes this as a 10 in 1 hub as they count the microSD and SD reader as one port not two as it is either or not both use at same time and the USB3.0 ports counted as one whereas both can be used independantly. Happy to highly recommend this hub, it truly is outstanding, Andrew
Brilliant bit of kit, especially if your pc is a bit short on ports like my new mini pc was. Supports dual screen too, all in all it’s perfect for what I needed.
We have a number of surface laptop 3s and surface book 2s at work which have the USB C capability. These gadgets make a very functional dock for working at home at a fraction of the price of an official surface dock. Please with it.
I’m wanted to use this with a surface go to use two monitors when working from home.
The previous adaptors I had bought didn’t work properly as they only allow the monitors to show the same output which seems pointless.
This adaptor was cheaper than similar adaptors claiming to allow dual monitors so I was a little apprehensive, but it works better than expected as I can use the surface go screen as a third screen .
It does warn that the tablet is not charging at full speed so I could get a of power supply but trickle charging is fine for my needs.
Definitely recommended.
When you look around to find that hub you need… not the case with this one .
This 12-in -one hub just replaced all my others hubs. I feel so good having around me only one hub and have all the ports I needed connected with only one cable. No more changing hubs for a different port. Good quality aluminium case, decent weight and thickness, perfect size. Fast data transfer, ports for three monitors, 1 Gb Ethernet port, sd and micro sd port, usb c, audio …. 12- in -one, everything in one hub. More space on my desk and less worries. Great product, I recommend this hub
Am well chuffed with this…bought the new Lenovo Yoga C640 and this hub to be delivered on the same day but wasn’t sure if they were going to provide the multi monitor set up I need as there seems to be different versions of USB Type C ports with some unable to do multiple displays.
I can happily report though that I just plugged it in to the laptpop and plugged in one monitor using hdmi and another using VGA and Windows recognised the monitors immediately and enabled me to extend the display to tme (rather than just duplicate).
Have also pluffed in the ethernet cable to get wired internet, the headphone jack to get audio through my seperates system and both work fine. I’ve also got a bluetooth headset connected through it. The only issue i have found is with the USB receiver for my Logitech Keyboard and Mouse – if plugged in to the hub the mouse will only work if it is within 10cm of the hub, whereas if it is in the laptop directly it works anywhere on the desk. This may be something to do with the hub giving the receiver enough power but i’m not really sure.
With all the remote working from home many are now using their home laptop/computer with sometimes multiple monitors, and several other devices connected to their laptop/computer.
Pros:
I have tried multiple hub and docking stations during the past few months.
This one by comparison is a very good docking station considering it’s reasonable price tag. It has a compact design thus you can easily put it in your computer bag.
You can connect up to 3 monitors (via 2 HDMI ports and 1 VGA port). This means your monitor should support at least one of these ports. Newer monitors may not have VGA while older models may not support HDMI. In any case this Docking station will connect your monitor to your computer. This supports both mirror and parallel monitor configurations.
It offers 2 USB3 and 2 USB2 ports by which you can connect your mouse and printer or even charge your mobile phone or other devices simultaneously.
It also has an audio/mid, SD and micro SD, 1 PD3.0, and an ethernet port.
Cons (maybe but easily manageable):
The cable that connects to your computer is a PD3.0 type. It is short about 20 cm. I bought an extension cord for it so now I have more flexibility how to put the docking station on my work desk.
In conclusion this is very good docking station for a relatively heavy day-to-day computer use.
This was the cheapest USB C Hub that I could find which had two HDMI ports. For 30, I couldn’t find anything else which does all that this hub does. The delivery was super quick and the hub looked premium, though since it is made of metal it does get hot quickly but not to unbearable levels. This is still a good to recommend though one thing to note is that the cable coming out of the hub is fixed and can’t be replaced.
This is a really powerful docking station that can be used not only as docking station but also as a multi device charger.
I have a 96 W charger that I use in combination with this docking station to charge many devices from one charger.
As this is 87 w docking station you can plug many phones and tablets or use it to charge a MacBook Pro.
Also there is 2 HDMI port and VGA port to use with monitors , Gigabit LAN port and 2 in 1 microphone and headphones 3.5 mm port.
There is small cable with Type-C plug and a Type-C port.
There is 2 x USB 3.0 ports,2 x USB 2.0 ports,SD and micro SD slots.
Highly recommend it as this is a really good choice. You can do so many things with just 2 little docking station.
I have quite a unique technology requirement and need an extra special hub to handle my complicated setup. This 12 in one triple input hub does just that and it is worth every penny.
To explain, I have a wired keyboard, and a wired mouse on a kvm switch to share between 2 PCs each with extended views over 2 large monitors. (=4 monitors) Added to that, is an old VGA projector, and various other input and output devices including imacs, ipads, tv, smart phone. Then all the different types and sizes of memory sticks, flashcards, external hard drives and ssd’s. Did I forget something? Oh yes a load of peripherals like headphones, 2 printers and scanners plus an additional wireless mouse.
I confuse myself trying to remember what plugs into where and with my existing collection hub I was forever swapping out hubs or doubling up or using 3 daisychained to each other. That all got so confusing to use, but not anymore.
This SELORE 12 in 1 Triple Display hub along with my kvm switch manages about 90% of my needs. I only occasionally need a very specific extra port from one of my other hubs. How great is that? I cannot imagine this 12 in 1 hub not managing most people’s setup. Sturdy and well built, good performance. Worth the money
This hub is very functional because of the variety of ports it offers. It is great for me as a business travel because it’s small and compact, and also my laptop has very limited ports but this hub will allow me to connect with other technology in hotels, conference rooms
Pros:
+ Very slim form factor
+ Excellent build quality
+ Sturdy and feels solid
+ Choice of 4K HDMI, 2 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.O, SD/micro SD CARD, VGA, Ethernet, Audio/mic and PD 3.O
The ports are compactly and efficiently arrayed. I am completely satisfied with this product and recommend it.
This wee USB C hub or docking station works really well. Beautiful design and made of solid materials. Only concerning thing is the cable, very short cable if you’re spose to use this with a pc but ok for laptops and mobiles. Even the cable is thick and solid but there are chances of being damage because of the way it’s packed in a small box and there is no strain relief support to keep cable safe from bending and being damage.
16mbps downloading speed via lan in my mobile. Works fine a stable connection.
PD 3.0 slot didn’t support fast charging on my Note9 while the source was from a PD fast charging device.
Overall working fine, just need to work with cable and fast charging slot.
I like this dock a lot! It comes with a nice little carry pouch and has all the ports you could need.
What’s especially good is that all the sd, micro sd, and usb 3 slots can be used simultaneously, which for me is a huge bonus.
However sadly it’s not going to replace my current dock for 1 major issue and 1 minor.
First the minor: Rather than VGA slot i’d personally have prefered another HDMI or USB-C Thunderbolt slot. VGA is pretty much a dead cable these days. So its weird to see it on a dock like this.
Now the major issue. The cable, it’s terrible. It’s the usual non-braided plastic sheathed cable. As a result it’s not going to last long. Especially if you use this on the go. I’ve only used it for a few days and it’s already showing signs of bulging at the connector.
As a result, for me this isnt a good replacement. However if your looking for a good dock to use in a single location without disconecting it, then this would be a solid one to use.
This is a really nice device with a lot of different ports, if you need some extra connections or to drive multiple monitors from USB-C this is a great device. It feels solid and is made of a metal construction. I have connected multiple USB devices including a USB light, keyboard and mouse combo as well a speaker which the laptop picked up straight away as an external speaker and started playing audio. All great.
One thing I did note was sometimes when the speaker was plugged in to the audio port of the hub and also charging in the hub it outputted a static sound until I disconnected it from the USB charging port, though this could be an issue with my particular speaker, it is worth noting.
The downside of this device for me is the very short USB-C lead that is attached to it so that you can connect it to your computer, it is very short, which means if you have a small desk you won’t be able to store it on a shelf or anywhere away from the computer, it has to sit next to it or a short distance away which can lead to a lot of wires next to your laptop.
One last thing to note is that although there are display ports on the hub, it will only work if your computers USB-C port supports display output and not all do, your computer will need to have HDMI Alt Mode for USB-C. I think this is important to make sure that before you purchase the hub just check your computers USB-C port if using it for this purpose.
The computer recognised the device straight away and does exactly what it needs to.
Pros:
– Solid construction
– Large range of ports
– Looks nice
– Works as intended and does a good job
Cons:
– Short USB connector lead to the computer which you can’t replace
– Had some issues with static output from a speaker when it was connected and charging in the hub
This review is for the USB C Hub, USB C Docking Station,SELORE 12 in 1 Triple Display Type C Hub to Dual 4K HDMI & DP,USB C to USB Adapter, USB C Card Reader,USB Docking Station to Dual HDMI & VGA for Macbook Pro/Air
The product arrived well packaged and on time. This is a very good quality usb-c hub which provide a lot of extra connectivity for your device. I have a MacBook which only had a a few USB- C ports so this was more than needed.
It woks really well and connects easily. The design is also nice and match the MacBook well.
Would recommend for anyone needing the extra additions this provides.
First off the product is well built and feels strong i used this with the pro i used the power cable from the pro to plug into the hub and then the hub into the pro, the beauty of this is you have everything in one place, this to be honest is great, it means while on the move you can carry less items.
I’m going to test it on the iPad Pro 2020 later on i will keep you informed
There are very few USB docking stations on the market that come close to this.
You can plug it in and away you go. Thanks to the marvels of USB C it carries an insane amount of bandwidth so you can run external monitors through it.
It’s pretty cool stuff and should work for most setups so long as the computer itself is fairly quick.
Other than that you get the inputs (that I won’t repeat) but you should find everything you need.
It feels heavy and boasts a little quality in that department. All of the connectors seem to be well made and I don’t think anyone should have an issue running this for long periods of time.
I personally got this so I could hide it under my desk so it connects with a USB C extension cable extension which I’d recommend 🙂
First thoughts:
If like me you own an ultra slim laptop, you might miss some of the convenient extra ports that the larger/older machines had. I needed a USB-C hub to give me back all those useful ports rather than having to keep changing devices in and out. This 12 in 1 hub does that with plenty of room for extra devices
Detail and things to note (pictures and video):
Sticker on the box said 12 in 1, box says 10 in 1 but there are 12 on the device so I was confused but happy.
Nice solid metal design with plenty of well spaced ports.
Contains a card reader for SD and microSD which comes in handy for editing from my action camera card.
Has a power light which is helpful when you realise you forgot to plug it into your laptop.
Dual screen display was tested and worked instantly after connecting another TV by HDMI to the hub.
Final thoughts:
More ports than the original Thunderbolt block that came with the laptop and everything I could need in a single hub. A little tight & gritty feeling when inserting cables in the ports with the close fitting, brushed metal but an essential bit of kit for me.
There are loads of hubs like this on Amazon now. Indeed I’ve been using one for a couple of years. This 12-in-1 hub is even better though, with a comprehensive selection of ports.
I connect it to my laptop via a USB-C extension cable, so that I can locate the hub and tangle of cables at the back of my desk. It has my Lenovo Yoga laptop charger plugged into it and hence charges the laptop (a little more slowly than when the charger is connected directly).
The two USB 3.0 ports are perfect for my external drives, with printers connected to the two USB 2.0 ports. I particularly value the SD and micro-SD slots. HDMI connects to a 23″ display and Ethernet is useful on occasion. I don’t need VGA or mic/headphone but they’re there for anyone who does.
It all works perfectly and the hub looks smart, so I can find no reason not to award five stars.
First of all, I’m no Mac user, old school Windows for me. There’s no issue with this device at all but there were some interesting results.
I set this up via the USBC port in an HP Envy Laptop which I use to record music when there is a need for lots of connections. Setup is Midi Keyboard, Presonus 1818, Axiom 61, old Sony Brava TV as an external desktop extender.
Using just the one port, all connected. Anyone who has used recording software will know that if you use different USB ports, the program’s midi devices will usually need reconfiguring. This is nothing to do with this device, it does this with other hubs.
The result of the HDMI was interesting in that it got the screen size right but the picture was not as good as compared to directly connecting to the HDMI port on the laptop.
The USB cable from the hub is fixed and quite stiff. Due to having so many cables connected on both sides, the connector actually slipped out a couple of times when in use. This is something to be aware of. The USB c connector is not as stiff as the ones we see on most devices. In hindsight, a separate cable might have been better.
Having said that, this has everything you are likely to need. Seems well made and for more conventional uses, I can’t see this being a problem.
This is a cracking adapter at an unbelievable price.
It does the job of three adapters I alreday had, and much more, and for less than teh three daapters would have cost!
I had display adapters, memory card adapters and a wired ethernet adapter – this has the lot in one package.
The adapter actually has more display outputs than my almost 200 HP docking station – and definetly has more connectivity of other types. (The HP dock also provides power to my laptop, though, so it does have one advantage).
Before I bought the HP dock I actually looked for an adapter of precisely this type. But they were all around 150 so I decided to go for the HP one specificalluy designed formy machine. If this had been around then at this price I woudl have probably saved myself the 100.
On my Windows 10 machine the wired ethernet adapter wasn’t recognised when teh adapter was plugged into every USB-C port, only particular ones. That may also be the case with the display outputs as I know only some USB ports support display output.
But once you know that and know it’s not a fault with the adapter – well, I can’t recommend this enough. It really is the Swiss Army Knife of USB-C adapters / docks as far as I can tell.
Every thing and slightly more than I wanted a hub for, small and efficient. Worth the money.
Great dock. Does exactly what you want. Plenty of ports. Enough room to plug something into each port.
Sellers are easy to deal with too.
Using and working very well with dual screen plus laptop
Have network, screens and USB ports in use with no issues
Great product at a good price. Works exactly as expected
Works well. Able to use connected to Samsung tab S7. Lost a star as the cable is a little short.
Very well built, enables me to connect many accessories to my lap top which only has a single USB port.
It works fine as a dock for connecting to a phone
Awesome just awesome, i now have 3 different pc screens. I use this for my HP Elite book and use two 24″ monitors. So easy to set up and use. Definite value for money.
A great alternative to the various docking stations that costs many times more. Haven’t had any issues with it ye
This ia a good plug in play uinit that works vrry well have never had one before but this one is easy to use and work with takes up little space and works from computer power very happy
Fantastic quality and functionality. Works perfectly with my Microsoft Surface Pro.
No issues with product so far, sleek and does exactly what it’s meant to.
Nice & compact. Fits nicely on my desk.
Really pleased with this. Value for money too
This docking station is very easy to use and quality is great.
Superb value for money
I use this product on a HP Laptop, it is compact and fits into my laptop bag, works well with the devices I have tested so far would recommend this produc
Easy to plug-in off a tablet, No extra drivers were needed, made my workstation use more monitors which was helpful
The docking station work properly with my Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15ITL05.
Nice price.
It doesn’t always connect everything. Needs turning on and off occasionally
Excellent value product. Used with my HP Elite book 840 G7.
Much cheaper than the HP alternative and allows 2 hdmi displays (plus laptop display) with 4 USB ports and SD slots.
Can’t fault it, but has only been used for a day.
If it continues to work as it does today, I’d definitely recommend this product.
Update: several months on and it hasn’t missed a beat!
As said, 3 x Screens on Laptop with no additional power.
Device drains power from laptop if this hub is left in without charger.
Device works well, when i plug in HUB after startup.
Arrived very quickly and did exactly what I needed it for.
Using within my office and dual-screen. It is convenient and exactly what I needed.
Great value for money docking station. Been very useful for me in working from home
Arrived on time and works seamlessly. Essential item for a Mac
Works exactly as expected. Would recommend as using many devices working from home and school remote learning.
Good product. It gets concerningly hot and I’m considering returning it for that reason. It’s almost painful to the touch after heavy use.
This is a really well made and versatile docking station, providing almost every input/output that anyone could want. Fast and simple to use. Really good.
Easy to use, nice and small, runs both external screens plus other desk peripherals /phone/speakers/camera
Very solid, handy and easy to use product! Amazing value for money.
Only thing is probably the cable is a bit short and if you have a laptop that has a USB-C charger and only 1 usb-c port available, you won’t be able to use i
Great product works perfectly with Mac and great value for money.
This product works well, no longer have to unplug printers, mouse, keyboard or monitor when swopping from laptop to computer. Doesn’t get hot either.
Works very well with an HP Elitebook 830 G7. Driving two external screen, one via HDMI, and one using VGA output, and using a KVM switch to connect keyboard and mouse
dont bother with those expensive thunderbolt docks that only have a few ports on them, just get yourself one of these. it works flawlessly and lives on my desk as i have it connected to my dual monitor setup.
ook a bit of searching for a unit with 2 HDMI’s and for a Chrome Book but this one works well
Didn’t quite know what to expect at this price, but it does drive two HD monitors along with a couple other USB devices.
A great product well made and with a variety of useful ports
PROS:
* 3 x Monitor ports (2 HDMI and 1 VGA)
* Great build quality and ports are solid
* Variety of ports, good number of USB ports
CONS:
the USB C cable could be 10-20cms longer to offer convenience
Had this for 3-4 weeks and so far so good no issues.
Exactly as expected. No setup issues just plugged straight in, driver automatically installed.
Using with new 4k60Hz monitor and multiple USB3.0 devices.
Strong and sleek product, easy to use and set up
absolute must have for my home office.
puts my mac onto two screens, while being able to charge my phone, my watch and lots of other items.
Does everything I want. Used as part of a triple screen set up with laptop
Bought in place of a docking station. Works much better; has more ports and cheaper.
Using it everyday to connect 1 HDMI monitor, 1 mouse, 1 keyboard, and some other USB devices from time to time. Never had any issue. Highly recommend.
It’s very compact and works really well, only thing I would like improved is a longer lead as it’s very sho
Hi,
Great customer sercive support.
Tested this device after 4 usb c hub and the only which ticks all the following:
1) detects 3.5mm headphone.(the only one that does)
2) works on Note 20 ultra (dex on connection) as well as on windows 10 HP work book on plug and play.
Perfect for my dual screen hdmi with the USB direct connection to my laptop. Wonderful
Needed this as old docking Station only supported one monitor. This works brilliantly with two (or more).
Received the item today and within seconds of plugging it in the my laptop everything was up and running. It was brilliant just what I needed.
Brilliant dock, adds two more hdmi monitors and tidies up my cable management nicely!
These are my main pros and cons for this product:
Pro:
Product came promptly as advertised. Feels premium to the touch with plenty of ports for all your needs
Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.
So got this for my MacBook Pro
Overall very happy!
