Used for programming CNC machine.
Giver extra ports for loads equipment.
Used with my Dell laptop
I use this successfully with a Macbook and a Dell Latitude. No issues whatsoever with its functionality.
It does exactly what it’s supposed to do on both platforms with no fuss or bother.
I do have 1 worry and 1 minor gripe though.
The worry is that it does get very hot when using the pass-thru power feature. Not sure how long the components will last at this temperature.
The gripe is that the ethernet activity light is rather bright (bright white LED) which can draw your attention in your peripheral vision.
Excellent and beautiful looking and very compatible with my MacBook Pro. Highly recommend
bought this to use with steam deck, works fine.
would be perfect if the housing didnt scratch against the battery in the bag I keep it in, but its rather minor and the build quality is a good compromise
Using the adapter with a Macbook Pro 14 (2021, Apple M1 Pro). The Ethernet, USB ports, SD card reader and pass-through power all work well. I’ve been using it to connect to a wired network and to attach a wacom graphics tablet (all worked perfectly). The build quality is quite good and it has enough weight to avoid skidding over the desk while being light enough to keep in a pocket. Overall very happy.
Been using this for a few weeks now without issue. It does what it says it will do and I’ve had no issues to date. I’ve got a webcam, jabra puck, and an external monitor plugged into it, keeping the wires nice and tidy.
I’ve got this connected to a MacBook Pro 14″ 2022.
Used on Mac book air and another on MacBook pro. I bought two in total
I’ve had no problems with the mulitport adaptor – it works well.
I use it with my Medion laptop E16401 running windows 11 and everything I’ve tried to do works without issue
My use case is connecting a Dell Latitude to two different monitors, an Acer via HDMI-HDMI and a Dell which only has a DisplayPort input, so I tried a HDMI-Displayport cable. That didn’t work, only the Acer got a signal. The Dell also has a VGA input so I tried that and it worked, but I would have preferred the Displayport connection.
Also, I assume I could use the usb-c port to drive my Logitech camera but that didn’t work either. When I used a usb-c to usb-b adapter and plugged it into the usb-3 port, it worked.
Wired logitech keyboard and wireless Kensington mouse, via usb dongle, also worked.
So I got everything working, just not in a way I would consider optimal, hence the 4 stars.
This item is value for money and works perfectly with my Mac book.
I’m very pleased with this product.
I am using it on a Dell Precision 5550 and it is working just fine.
Sometimes, the HDMI connection seems to be lost and reconnected back quickly.
My USB mouse and keyboard are struggling a bit with long distances (more than 2 metres).
Recently bought this for my MacBook Air M1 and love it so far. Works flawlessly. It does get a bit warm when connected to hdmi. Overall very happy with this purchase.
I bought this to use as a hub for a Steam deck. It works absolutely fine and is really useful for breaking out the single USB-C port and it’s clear where power should go in. The only issue I have is that sometimes the HDMI is not detected, and even when unplugging the USB-C side and plugging it in again, it still doesn’t refresh. However when I unplug the HDMI plug and plug it in again it is recognised. It’s minor and I can live with it.
I have been using it for my home setup and it has been great.
Perfect for my airbook used to plug in a mouse and HDMI cable .
Highly recommend !
Very sharp looking, light weight, classic connector. Ethernet works well, very fast. Connections are stable. Would highly recommend it.
Hi Jessica, I am using the adapter with a 2021 24″ Apple iMac. I can confirm that the USB adaptors and both card reader slots work with my iMac. Kind Regards
I use this for my MacBook Pro and it just works
This product works well with my new MacBook Pro. No issues.
I use the USB C hub to connect my laptop to a large screen and and keyboard – simple!
I bought this item as I needed to connect an Asus chromebook with a USB C adaptor to a monitor using a HDMI cable . This was just what i needed and works perfectly. Also as a chromebook only has 1 USB port this adaptor has 3 other USB slots which is soo handy. It also has card readers Item is sleek and sturdy and item was delivered fast. Great value fothe money .
I bought this adaptor to fit my external hard driver to as the connecting lead on the hard drive was not compatible with the ports on my MacBook. The adaptor is compatible with my MacBook so the Hardrive cn connect to the adaptor and the adaptor to my MacBook.
It’s made from a nice combination of metal and plastic, all ports worked flawlessly with the steam deck. I can’t recommend it enough!
I have been using this adapter with my personal 2021 MacBook Air. So far, I have had the opportunity to test the HDMI and one of the USB entries, and it has worked perfectly. It has been a relief and I am glad to have come across this multiport adapter, as up to this point, it has proven to be more economically feasible than paying for original and individual Apple-branded adapters, which are incredibly pricey. Beyond the product’s impeccable functioning, I was personally contacted by the seller to make sure their product had worked well, which was a pleasant surprise, and one of the reasons why I am taking the time to leave my thoughts on their adapter. These sellers care and really hope for all their buyers to enjoy it! If you are considering purchasing, do not doubt it!
Excellent product compact, robust, stylish and reliable. Ideal for people looking for high end quality product with high performance level.
I got it for the USB C to HDMI conversion.
Not to mention a double USB C <-> USB 3.0 capability.
Great stuff!
Works without any flaws with my MacBook Air M1.
I can have an external display, SSD drive, keyboard and iPhone connected all at the same time without any issues.
Couldn’t be happier – good construction and budget price. Recommend without reservation.
Works great with both M1 MacBook Pro and iPad pro
I bought to use with my new MacBook Air 2020, I have no compatibility issues.
I’ve been running two hard drives and also sd cards and micro sd cards and all software has been transferred to my Mac with zero issues.
The connecting cable gives good flexibility rather then having the unit connected direct like some similar products enabling me to charge the Mac while using the adapter. All in all excellent value for money. If it keeps doing what I bought it for, which I see no reason why, I highly recommend it.
Bought for a Mac Pro Air, worked fine straight out of the box, good value.
Lots of different ports which is useful when using a Dell laptop.
I use this with my macbook air 2020. I plugged in an ethernet cable, ssd external drive, mouse and charging cable at the same time and they all started quickly with no problems.
First let me say that I am very happy with the adapter. I use it to connect multiple devices to my MacBook Air. I give lots of talks so I needed this adapter in order that I could use an HDMI port to connect to my projector and a standard USB port to connect to my external hard drive. I also need a second USB port to connect my Wireless Presenter which I use to scroll through the images on my Powerpoint presentation. So this adapter is perfect for my requirements at a price that is affordable. I would happily recommend it to others.
THIS IS A LIFE SAVER!!!
Last year I got a computer but it didn’t have a USB port?? So I bought this and now I can connect everything to it!! I highly recommend, 10/10
Works perfectly with my MAcbook Air. I needed a HDMi port to connect another monitor and this works perfectly. Also handy to use USB flash drives or mice, as the MAcbook Air has no USB ports.
I have used this device with a Macbook Air 2020 with MDMI cable to a tv and USB to an external drive. Both have functioned properly. The USB port is a tight fit.
It’s does the job and it does it well 🙂
I use it as my Mac lacks most of slots available on other laptops! It’s great 🙂
Package good delivery good. Quality very good operation as expected recommended yes
Didn’t like that Apple changed their peripheral connections (again) but this product has provided the perfect solution. I haven’t tried with USBs but HDMI for multi-screen is working great, which was the main purpose.
Practical hub for my laptop that provided many additional ports to allow multiple devices to be left connected – reduced the usage of may own laptop ports
I bought this docking station to use in my home office.
It was ready to use out of the box and required no configuration to set up.
I’m using it with a Dell XPS 13 laptop and connecting to additional screens and a keyboard and mouse.
I have had no issues at all with using this device.
Bought this hub for my MacBook and it worked exactly as advertised. Although it was much more than I required, doing way more than I needed it to, it did seem to be good value for money (after much shopping round). Happy to recommend
Really happy with this item, does exactly what it says on the packaging
Brilliant little hub for my Macbook Air 2020. HDMI port work great to Dell 32″ monitor. Ethernet port is a great addition for a fast connection!
My son bought 1 too!
Looks well and feels sturdy but am unable to comment on operational aspects as I could not get monitor output to work. Apparently my old laptop cannot do display output via USB-C.
Really compact piece of kit, looks sleek and seems to be well constructed.
Purchased this to work with Dell XPS 15 2021 versio
Does exactly what it says it will. Probably not the highest in terms of quality but its good value for money and works fine.
I use this device on my M1 MacBook Air and it’s prefect for all I need. It’s got a HDMI so I can hook it up to a monitor, it’s got SD card slots I can use to get my drone footage off. It’s built really well too, it’s not cheap and plasticky, it’s got some weight to it which is reassuring.
I am using this on a HP Laptop mainly because the Laptop didn’t have a LAN port only 2 USB A and 1 USB C ports, the 1 Gb Lan port works as it should, I have tested the SD card slot and that also works as does the USB 2.0 ports with normal USB pen drives, but not using an SD card adaptor,, which doesn’t matter, I have no need of the HDMI ports so have not tested these, the audio output works with my small soundbar which draws power via a USB 2.0 port, so as far as I can tell this item works as expected – Bob
Very happy with the purchase. I use this adapter on my Macbook Air 2020. It works like a charm. Definitely recommend it.
It’s super easy to use and makes my job easier when editing and working from home. I tend to edit videos using my MacBook (which works perfectly with the adapter), however I also have secondary monitor that it allows me to use it as two different screens.
Great hub, used on my new iPad Pro 11″ 2021. I tested all ports and they work perfectly!
I am using this connector with a new MacBook Air and have to say it is ideal for mr…..thank you
I use it for my laptop when I want to connect my external hard drive or my tablet. Works great for what I need it for.
This is a high quality docking station that really performs. Build quality is excellent, and works seamlessly when using with three displays. A big plus for me is that it doesn’t get hot.
I bought this one for using with my Mackbook Pro 13″. So far it is working well, and no conflicts noticed. Also the adapter looks sturdy.
This is not only good for laptops I’m using it on my PC, whilst I have a top of the range MB all the ports are full apart from a USB C which this is now connected to giving me a great little expansion to my desktop PC, build quality is great and it has a card reader built-in which is what I’m using for my camera cards, speeds are great through this, all in all, very good.
13 in 1 usb c hub. Plug into your usb c port and you now have 13 ports to choose from. An audio/Mic plug on the bottom next to the cable, 3 x USB 3, 2 x USB 2, an SD & TF plug, an RJ45 port a Digital Port, 2 HDMI ports, a USB c port. Perfect if you need to plug in 2 or 3 monitors. To your laptop or computer and you don’t have the plugs for it. Spare USB ports, memory card readers. This adapter is theperfect docking station for your laptop. Leave all of your connections on the adapter and just remove one single cable to take your laptop away.Works perfectly on my windows laptop. Very impressed.
Best used with a PC, with a laptop you can use the hdmi ports and extend onto other monitor.
On a MacBook, you can only duplicate.
The dock gives you access to additional USB ports while you can still send power to it via usb c.
You get access to sdcard, std and micro, network and backward compatible to vga.
It splits its USB ports between 2 and 3.
Resolutions using all the ports is fine, but limited to 30Hz.
Overall good portable dock.
This laptop USB docking station display port has everything I need for displays, and possibly need in most circumstances. Great multiple display options that worked straight out of the box with my Lenovo. Connection to this hub is by a short cable with a male USB-C connection.
You get the following; 2 HDMI ports, a DP port, charging port, USB C data transfer port, a SD and microSD ports, an ethernet display, 3.5mm Audio & Mic port, and 5 USB ports. This dock does not offer an ethernet port or card reader slots, which are often found on other stations. Plus no 3.0 USB slots that lets it down.
This docking station is dark aluminium grey, lightweight, but it looks durable. I can take my Lenovo laptop from work and set up at home in one easy step. I can now have another monitor display, charge my phone, and link up to my printer. Plus I have extra slots if I want to scale up with more monitors.
A good value docking station at about 60, that is much cheaper than a powered hub. Although if you do not need 13 ports and you can go down to 7 then you will half the price.
This device is much smaller than I was expecting, obviously this is a good thing, it’s so compact it takes up hardly any room on our little desk. I’ve included 3 pictures, one of which is next to a standard size glasses case for size comparison. It was simple to set up and now can be left plugged into the various things, including a second monitor and both my husband and I are able to easily plug in our laptops without having to search for the correct cables because they’re all linked together with this little device. Brilliant!
If you have a USB C thunderbolt slot on your lap top – this is a great hub to have. Apart from adding extra usb A slots it with take SD cards and allow you to attach hdmi and DP cables. So for a multi monitor set up this really works well. I have also connected to my router. My wifi connection was good anyway – but I think it is a little more stable on a wired connection. Great that it allows full 100w power pass through too. This is normally about 70 quid to buy – and I think it is well worth it.
This docking station has 13 slots. This includes 2 usb 2.0, 3 usb 3.0, and 2 HDMI.
I been looking for more usb ports due to my laptop only having one. This was very easy to connect. It was a bonus that it come with a car reader too. I would give this 5 out of 5. This does only work for USB-C Due to It does have a slight weight to it.
I can now connect more appliances and expand the use of my PC and even now connect it to an external monitor!!
Great little device that greatly expands the usefulness of your device by adding a whole panoply of extra ports . Simply plugs and plays. All ports work well. All in all 5 stars, very useful.
The C Laptop Docking Station Dual Monitor HDMI for HP Dell XPS, Universal USB-C Dock Thunderbolt Hub Triple Display is very well thought of piece of equipment. It is a very sturdy. It felt good to the touch. As we have a lot of HP laptops and computers among all of us it was very easy to get the results. The HDMI worked well without missing a heartbeat and to near perfection (nothing in life is perfect hence that sentence). It did not get hot when we inserted a card and looked at it. Some of the other ones tend to get warm if you try to use a card readers. This is so easy to carry for conferences or even in a class it’s light in weight and fits in your computer bag also. The 2 USB ports are a real blessing especially for someone like me who has to find things from different places. It has given us room on our table as we could get rid of the HDMI connector and the usb hub with this one nice slim piece of equipment on it. I would recommend it to anyone who is has to use multiple screens and find things from cards. We would have preferred if it had at least one more USB C on it. A bit steep in price for it as there is lot of competition in the market.
USB C Laptop Docking Station Dual Monitor HDMI for HP Dell XPS, Universal USB-C Dock Thunderbolt Hub Triple Display to 2 HDMI 4K,DP,Ethernet,5 USB Ports,100W PD,SD/TF,3.5MM for Lenovo Yoga,Surface… is very handy to have. It has different ports. Bit pricey though.
69.99 at time of review. 5*.
A great usb-c hub that I’ve been using with my Lenovo laptop, it has a great selection of ports (everything you could need really) everything works well and as expected, the cable is long enough and everything feels well made. Very pleased with it, a great device and handy to pop in any laptop bag.
I’m a Mac user and have connected this to my laptop and desktop (Mac Mini) machines. Read/write speeds to USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and SD cards are compellingly fast (though USB 2 was very much slower than USB 3 of course), comparable to other individual adapters I have. I encountered no problems attaching a variety of drives – SD card, thumbdrives, 1 – 2 Tb 2.5″ external drives and SSD drives. All worked without a hitch. I have not checked the external display duplication as Mac’s only support mirroring functions.
The multiport adapter runs cool – no more than about 28C when the power isn’t routed through it, and no more than 32C when it is. However, under neither condition was the computer working hard, so this may not be a fair reflection of normal working conditions. For comparison, I have another adapter with a similar – though more limited – range of USB, SD and HDMI ports and this runs appreciably hotter. The adapter has a metal or metal-like outer casing which probably contributes to efficient heat dissipation. It looks and feels high quality.
The one problem I encountered was in removing an attached Cat 5 network cable. This port is quite tight and I had to apply a surprising amount of force to remove the cable having depressed the retaining tab these cables have at the ends. I only have one make of network cable so cannot determine whether this was a fault with the cable, or the multiport adapter. The cable came out undamaged and could be reinserted and worked again. SImilar Cat 5 cables were also overly tight in this adapter.
I’ve deducted half a star for this tight Cat 5 cable port and another half star for the continued inclusion of USB 2.0 ports. USB 3.0 is backwardly compatible and I’ve never encountered a USB 2.0-specific peripheral. The continued inclusion of this format – which dates back over 20 years now – can only really be for money saving purposes. Why not make all the ports USB 3.0 so it no longer matters which you use for your superfast external SSD drive, or your very slow keyboard?
Out of interest, I also attached it to a Raspberry Pi 4. Power was transferred to the RPi which booted normally. However, no drives attached to this adapter were ‘seen’ by the Raspberry Pi. This didn’t surprise me as it’s a limitation of the RPi USB C port … just don’t purchase it thinking it will allow you to add a range of additional ports to one of these small computers.
The build quality of this hub is top notch. Feels solid. It’s plug-and-play on my iPad, so no additional apps or anything to download. My only complaint is that the USB-C port on the hub itself is only used for power, so you’re essentially giving up USB-C capability on the iPad for two standard USB ports (not to mention the other things on the hub like the SD card readers). This does exactly what I bought it for though, and it does it really well.
Tested on my Dell XPS13 with two HDMI monitors with no issue, I did not have a third monitor to hand. Has Ethernet on board and PD as well (you will need a separate USB-C charger which is sufficiently powerful enough)
Much better to have three digital outputs rather than two digital and one VGA as many monitors do not support VGA anymore.
Ensure as the listing says that your laptop supports video on the USB-C output and note on the newer M1 Mac’s that there are restrictions.
It’s the kitchen sink of USB-C adapters, however 70 is a little steep, the same suppliers has a 12 in 1 for 50 which may be ample for your needs.
This 13-in-1 USB-C hub is good. It’s pretty standard and a lot of these hubs are extremely similar. Most likely even the same with different branding. Saying that however, they are solidly built with nice metal finish & provides a good expansion to a laptop.
For myself, I use this for a few extra USB ports and the USB-C to HDMI conversion as my other dock didn’t have both and would have to choose only one.
There is an included manual for instructions on how to use the display feature correctly either cloning or expanding which is nice for beginners.
Would recommend this for portable dock but would recommend getting a heftier docking option if you don’t need it to be overly portable.
Used this on my HP Z book 15u G5 and it lived up to it’s promises (mostly). I got all functionality except the DisplayPort 2.1 working. I suspect this might be my laptop, as other docks also have similar issues. I didn’t have any problems running 2x monitors (2x 1920×1080) using HDMI and the laptop display in full 3 desktop extended mode, using Windows 10. I also had audio and LAN working perfectly and charging (from a USB-C PD power supply, not supplied). For such a small dock, there is a surprisingly large set of features, including plenty of 3x USB3 ports, 2x USB2 ports and a card reader.
Aside from the DP2.1 no working (which as I mentioned, is likely more a problem with my device, rather than this product), my only other criticism would be the length of the USB-C cord to connect to the laptop, I would have liked it to be a bit longer (it’s 23CM long).
Given the price point, it’s very affordable and worked very well. I think it’s a great buy for a small home office setup. Just make sure your laptop supports USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 before purchase. I did also read, that Macs aren’t as well supported either (Apple restrictions), so you might want to bear that in mind, if you are unfortunate enough to own a Mac (I’m sure Apple will have something overpriced they can sell you instead).
Saves connections to your laptop/pc and a dongle nightmare. Have used this to connect my HP laptop with 3 monitors at 1920 x 1080 (2 HDMI and 1 DisplayPort), USB Headset, USB wireless keyboard & mouse, gigabit ethernet and 96W USB-C power input. IT also has 2 card reader slots, more USB 2/3 ports and 3.5mm audio/mic connection that I didn’t use.
First impressions on taking this out of the box are that this is a very sturdy docking station. It’s exceptionally well made and feels like it will stand up to the rigours of multiple devices being plugged in to it.
What I liked about this docking station was the ability to have available multiple HDMI sockets for displays. This is also where you need to ensure the compatibility of your devices. This worked perfectly on my HP laptop but on my Acer I received an error message – which is correct as there is no indication that Acer is supported. I was however able to use the USB sockets.
For me the benefit of this is having all of the sockets (including the Ethernet socket) in one device. This has replaced two USB hubs now for my HP laptop and has given me the opportunity to extend the screen. This is an excellent piece of kit if a little on the expensive side.
I use this to help connect my laptop to my two monitors. I have one HDMI going straight into my laptop and the other HDMI into this adaptor. I also have 3 USB devices (mouse, speaker and webcam) running through the adaptor too. I’ve used this day in day out for a few weeks now and it works perfectly, no glitches. Great value for money too and there’s more functionality on it which I am yet to use.
I bought the connector so that I could connect my new MacBook Air to both the television and also devices that connect to our older iMac through the older style USB connections. As the MacBook has two Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 sockets I’ve retained one of them for power input, and the other for devices through the connector. The real test was to play a DVD through my MacBook via an older style DVD / CD accessory and out through the HDMI port to my TV. Works perfectly. There are just a couple of simple adjustments to be made in System Preferences in order to get both sound and picture onto the TV.
Though its been just a week so its too early to review but could say it was easy to use, worked well and good value for money. If it runs for a long time then definitely going to be bes
This dongle is great. Slim and neat easy to use just plug in and my MacBook pro recognises it straight away. No problems with it. Would definitely recommend.
Finally a reasonably priced dongle that doesn’t overheat or most importantly does not interfere with my WIFI! It’s also nice and small and something that I only realised after reading another review is that the colour matches my Macbook. Sweet!
I bought this for my MacBook Pro 2020 and it does everything I need. I have my hard drive back up in all the time and that leaves plenty of connections for memory sticks etc. Works well.
Small and light but solidly made. I connected my audio interface, a hard drive and monitor at the same time and all worked well.
This dongle works well with the new MacBook Air that doesn’t have a USB connection and gives the added benefit for different types of connection too.
I use this adapter mainly for my external hard drive and it works really fine. It does the job I expected it to do. It is compatible with my WD Passport hard drive and also when I use a Microsoft mouse. To be honest I haven’t tried to use the HDMI to see what is it like but with my experience and satisfaction right now I will give it a 5 star.
Macbook macbookair M1 chip owners this dongle works perfectly. Struggled with a previous one this is seamless & great quality too
Using this to connect usb 2.0 headphones and mouse/keyboard combo , works perfectly
Perfect for connecting all my needs to a MacBook Pro.
So far only used HDMI but all options will be useful.
Seems well made and robust.
Good little hub for the Mac Mini. One small gripe is that the cable could be longer.
Connectivity to my Mac (13 inch, 2016) is intermittent…
When connected its serving the purpose, design is very slick and I liked it.
I will be going to monitor the same for sometime before I jump on to the concussion whether to return or not.
Very good Product .i am using for my Macbook Pro 2020 .
I bought this as a replacement for one that was not MacBook compatible despite saying so. I am using it to connect other things like wireless mouse and camera card etc.
Easy to use and works well
I am slightly disappointed by the fact that there is no USBc socket. The adaptor is great for what its been designed for but it uses one on my USBcs on my Macbook, leaving only one.
I bought this adaptor for a new AppleMac air laptop, which only has thunderbolt port and will not take normal USBs or SD cards, etc.
Apple branded adaptors vary in cost and can be up to 80. This one at 19.99 does exactly the same thing and works faultlessly. Cant see the point in wasting up to 60 to buy something with an apple logo..
I recently bought quite a cheap but good webcam with a standard USB connector. Bought this adaptor to pug into MacBook pro. The adaptor is small and matches the finish on the macbook. Seems robust (I use it everyday) but I’ve not had it long
only used 2 days but works. doesnt power up devices that require it though for ex superdrive.
Bought it for a midi keyboard to connect to my mac. Works perfectly. Super slim compared to others and is a great build quality. Would recommend.
This makes up for everything the Pro is missing. It is plug and play straight out of the box – plug it in and then you can plug in up to 2 USB devices at the same time along with an SD card and a Micro SD card at the same time!
Very good investment and has saved me lots of hassle and a USB port! So far with a few weeks use, I haven’t noticed any issues or had any complaints with it. It’s worked every time.
It is made from a metal body and does have a nice weight to it. It’s not a cheaply made, flimsy plastic hub. This one does have a bit of style about it.
Overall this is a good product which is easy to use.
Pros:
– multiple ports for SD cards ect. to allow for lots of different uses
– easy to use
– works well
– looks good
the only fault is that sometimes you have to wiggle it slightly to get a good connection for example when charging my phone sometimes it disconnects but it reconnects itself or reconnected if you adjust it slightly. Overall a really useful product.
Just the job! This works a treat! I use this on my MacBook Air 2019 and have used the USB and HDMI outlets so far with no issues. Thanks
Precisely described, sleek, colour is perfect match to my MacBook and it works!!!
