Die Batterien halten sehr lange durch.
Der Funktionsumfang ist sehr gut (Bildgren, Videoaufnahmen, Zeitsteuerung, Auslseempfindlichkeit, etc.). Alles da was man bentigt. Und einfach zu bedienen.
Die Bild- und Videoqualitt ist sowohl fr Tag wie auch Nacht sehr gut. Nachts natrlich entfernungsabhngig. Aber auch da im Bereich von ca. 10-15m TOP.
Ich habe die Kamera mittlerweile seit ca. 4 Monaten bei uns an verschiedenen Stellen in Betrieb, da wir einen Marder auf dem Dach haben. Auch in >15m Entfernung ist der Kerl noch auf dem Dach auf den Bildern gut zu erkennen und lst die Kamera zuverlssig aus. Bei sehr schnellen Bewegungen kommt es (vor allem nachts) natrlich auch hin und wieder zur Unschrfe. Aber das werden auch teurere Gerte nicht vermeiden knnen.
Auerdem ist sie perfekt Wasser- und Schneedicht. IP66 vom Hersteller angegeben.
Lediglich die Schrauben des unteren Befestigungs-/Standfues sind etwas korrodiert. Ist aber nicht dramatisch und die lassen sich auch einfach ersetzen, falls erforderlich.
Fazit:
Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Wrde die Wildkamera auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen.

Die Kamera ist super. Wir haben bei uns ein Igelhuschen im Garten stehen und wollten schauen, ob sich dort was tut.
Dank der Kamera wissen wir nun, was bei uns Nachts im Garten passiert.
Die Qualitt ist super, die Batterien halten sehr lange (sie scheint sehr sparsam zu sein) und die Nachsicht ist auch super, wie man an dem Video sehen kann.

Die Kamera entspricht unseren Vorstellungen. Sie tut was sie soll. Bilder lassen sich auch wunderbar ber den Ferneher oder Dektop ansehen, wenn man sie grsser haben will.
Der Bewegungssensor funktioniert sehr gut.
Das einzige kleine Mango ist, dass die Nachtbilder nicht sehr scharf sind. Aber fr den Preis ist es ok.

Was mich strt, ist, dass man die winzige Speicherkarte nach unten in die Kamera hinein und heraus nehmen muss. Die Gefahr, dass sie auf den Boden fllt, wenn die Kamera fest installiert ist, ist gro.

Wir dachten wir haben ein Marder auf dem Dachboden, da es in einigen Nchten doch sehr laut war. Nach
einfachem Aufbau der Kamera, SD rein, Uhrzeit einstellen, Sprache auf Deutsch, Kamera auf ON und Feuer hat sich herausgestellt, dass wir es doch nicht mit Mardern zu tun haben, sondern mit einigen Musen. Die Kamera hat super ausgelst und die Bildqualitt ist auch super. Man muss halt bedenken, dass wir es hier nicht mit einem Hightech-Smartphone zu tun haben, sondern mit einer Wildkamera. Sollte man ja eigentlich schon am Preisunterschied bemerken…
We use this to see the hedgehogs in our garden.
I am very pleased with this trail camera. For a budget camera it is as good as more expensive examples I have had in the past. Easy instructions and the company is very good to deal with.
This is an excellent camera and at a great price, cannot fault it. Very happy and we can now see how happy our hedgehogs are with the food we leave for them.
I had a couple of problems getting started but this was easily rectified by contacting the supplier for advice and guidance. First problem was date and time not showing on recordings, then continuous recording at high speed so a few batteries wasted but 3rd attempt produced perfect recordings. Make sure you read the booklet carefully as I’d missed out a ‘test’ section!
Arrived safely and got it going immediately, easy to set up, although it does need 8X AA batteries. handy to have tree straps and pedestal for set up options. Works well in light and in the dark, the night vision is clear. Overall very pleased with it. Allan C.
Nun zur Kamera,sie ist absolut leicht zu Bedienen und bekommt ihre Energie ber 8 AA Batterien,die Aufnahmen sind gut zu erkennen und da auch bei Nacht.
Die Camouflage Farbe ermglicht es die Kamera auch nicht gro zu verstecken sondern sie Recht offensichtlich auf zu hngen da sie schwer zu erkennen ist.

This camera has excellent motion detection & provides clear, quality video & stills at night. I don’t use it during the day, but I’m sure it would be equally as effective.
I compared this model to a cheaper alternative that was 35 (see first photograph). I am happy to say this one excelled in comparison. There was much less noise, the picture quality is better and you can see a lot further with it’s infra-red. The second photograph is a screenshot from some footage taken off this camera, the third (with the time stamp) is the cheaper model. I solely will be using these cameras for their night-vision videography so that’s what my review is based upon. If it continues to get great results I may consider more for a future TV series I am currently working on.
The Good Bits:
It takes 8 AA batteries vs the 4 on the other one. Although this seems like a con at first it definitely lasts a lot longer – so less battery changes! Combine this with rechargeable batteries and its a win win. The video feed is a much wider 1920 x 1080 which is standard nowadays – but cheaper versions you will have to crop into the already bad video quality.
The Flaws:
The main one for me is that the screen is on the back of the swinging door. Because of this, you have to sort of peak into the camera whilst the door is still open to get a glimpse of a camera angle. This angle is then ruined when you close the door as obviously, by closing it, you have just altered the camera angle… Unlike its competitors, a lot of other camera brands have the screen on the inside or on the outside directly like the comparison model. This allows you to view the precise angle with 100% accuracy. So bare this in mind if looking to buy this camera.
Another flaw is that if you want to use the screw mount on the bottom with a tripod, its simply not doable. If you look at my last photograph, you will see that there is plastic blocking the screw so it will not sit flush and could potentially damage the product.
The last thing is that I would like to see cameras like this produce .mp4 files over the outdated .AVI files as .avi disrupts workflows for video editors etc. However, if you’re just browsing on your laptop then you should be fine – although may need some software to run this outdated codec.
In terms of successfully activating at the right time to get shots Id say this is 60-70% accurate. Although this is for my specific garden and may be much more accurate in different conditions. I often saw the back end of a fox or an animal just about to walk off-frame. I will be fiddling with my settings to tune this further.
Overall the video quality of this camera is excellent for a trap camera. If you’re mounting to trees with not much care for the precise camera angle, then this camera is 100% for you. It’s a great price and arguably has better quality than some of the most expensive brands out there and is miles better than cheaper alternatives.

One of the two cameras developed a fault, but I can’t fault the customer service – they had me run some checks and tests, try a firmware upgrade, and then – when that didn’t resolve – immediately shipped out a replacement (which arrived within a day, is working faultlessly).

The VANBAR Trail Camera has exceeded my expectations in terms of quality of images and video. After moving the camera around the garden to capture night-time visitors caught some good video of white-tailed deer. Would recommend for those seeking to see what goes on in their garden’s after dark.
Easy to get set up and review what’s been recorded
This camera in my mind did not justify the money spent on it. I have another camera similar from another at half the price and the build quality is so much better. Saying that this one does give quite a good night picture.
Having tried other cheaper cameras this one does all it says with sharp clear videos and pictures and movement response.

My only complaint is that the infra red lamps glow a dull red when lighting a subject at night which tends to distract more timid animals and also draws attention to itself if it can be seen by passers by.

This is my first trail camera and I am delighted with my choice. Enough functions to cover all my needs but easy to set up and use. I use at night for Badger watching and the night vision is really good. When using at home in the garden the D500 can be connected to mains with a 12v adapter which is ideal for saving on batteries.
I can’t think of anything more I would need for wildlife watching.
I gave this as a Christmas gift and haven’t had any feedback yet. It looked alright although the instructions were a bit brief and would have been better if there was a bit more detail. Not everyone is tech savvy
The camera does exactly what it says on the box good quality product literally can’t fault it. Recipient of the camera as a gift loves it have been told the night vision quality is good and that the camera works well instructions on setting up the device are easy and simple to follow so far havee been told that Recipient of the gift found they have more wildlife than they previously thought they had in their garden.

I bought this camera for using in my garden. After quite extensive research I opted for the Vanbar D500.
Really impressed with it. Manual is clear and instructions easy to follow. The camera itself is sturdy and had a well made feel to it. Controls are simple and is say straightforward for anyone to pick up and use straight away.
Package comes well equipped with different ways to mount the camera etc too. I like how you can set it to take photos, videos or both at the same time.
Quality of image and night vision is high too. Delighted with my purchase.
As non technical pensioners we found the instructions fairly easy to follow and by using the supplied straps we managed to capture images of two cats, not a surprise, but also a young fox was a surprise!

The camera is so simple to set-up and to use, which is great as I purchased as a gift for my elderly parents. The picture quality is really good and easy to move around to record different locations. This is a great little camera for a starter, we’ve used it to see what sort of wildlife is around after dark in some woodland on our land. The amount of batteries isn’t ideal, but solar powered wasn’t possible for the location we wanted to use it.
I use a Nikon D7000 as my regular camera, and I was surprised by the quality that ‘this camera produced. I have only had the unit set up in my garden for two days and I have been surprised at the different birds and animals that it has snapped.
I am looking forward to setting it up in the woods and other locations.

It looks ok, haven’t actually used it yet. What it doesn’t say in the sales pitch is you actually need 8 batteries, which aren’t supplied and an S D Card which isn’t supplied, so still got to get the card .
After a little confusion with the power supply. Do not use 1.2v rechargeable batteries – Use 1.5v this is a great camera.
I contacted Vanbar on Boxing day and was surprised to receive a reply the same day with helpful advice.

I use this for pewt control to track rats, squirrels and foxes etc.
Uaed in the rain in Scotland and surviced which really says something.
Also had in loft spaces and night vision is impressive.

Generally does not use a lot of battery as mainly set on motion sense mode.

Was eigentlich nicht gerade zum Vorteil war, weil 2 Hunde und 3 Katzen oft durch den Garten lief 🙂
Aber eine 32gb Speicherkarte, hat Trotz Aufzeichnung unserer Hunde und Katzen im Schnitt 4 Tage gehalten. Die Hunde waren halt sehr Aktiv.
Was sich bei uns herrausgestellt hat, war das abends ein Marder und ein weiblicher Fuchs durch den Garten lief.
So konnten wir eingrenzen warum die Hunde abends angeschlagen hatten.
Die Kamera hat eigentlich alles was man braucht, ist Wasserdicht und auch wenn die aus Plastik besteht, ist die Qualitt sehr gut.

Original review. This was a surprise buy for me. My friend told me about a hedgehog in my garden and I got this camera to get a photo, but I got a surprise when a squirrel turned up. It has great pictures of the squirrel and a magpie and I’m waiting to get a photo of the hedgehog. I had an SD card in an old camera and I just had to buy eight batteries. I’m used to cameras but the manual explained everything. I’ve tried video as well and it is very clear. Can’t wait to see the hedgehog.

The image quality is sufficient. You can see the animals or leaves well when the wind blows. The motion sensor will capture even the smallest movements. Seeing as we are not in the WiFi range for a camera that supports WiFi, this was a no-brainer for us.
I put this up a week ago. So far we have seen baby foxes playing at night time birds that to this day I don’t know the name off and a squirrel that keeps stealing the birds food. Honestly love watching all the little critters running around our garden and honestly suggest that anyone that loves wildlife gets one of these cameras. You certainly will not regret it!
I have set it up in my garden to see if any rodents come at night and with the help of this I have seen it.
The motion sensor is quick, the recording kicks in very quickly and the footage captured is really good. It also comes with accessories for positioning or mounting the camera including a tree mount and belt. Overall value for money is pretty good and I love the wide angle shots the device gets.

It’s been put down at farm near woodland to keep track of wildlife around. And it worked pretty well. Easy to setup, comes with strap, instructions and screws etc to mount. All you need is batteries and good to go.
Only thing is the motion sensor doesn’t kick in as immediate as i’d have thought, mainly at night but that could be down to power or my positioning.

Damit htte ich, “galant” bergeleitet und die Hauptmerkmale der mit 20 MP agierenden Wildkamera von Vanbar hier bereits mitgeteilt, in etwas ausfhrlicherer Form geht es aber natrlich auch.
Zuvor jedoch ein ganz wichtiger Tipp meinerseits: Die SD Karte (welche im Lieferumfang leider nicht enthalten ist) sollte, unbedingt formatiert werden, da ansonsten weder Fotos noch Videos aufgenommen werden. Sofern keine Formatierung vorgenommen wird, zeichnet die Karte nicht auf. Bei Verwendung, egal welches Herstellers, sollten die SD Karten die Klasse 10 Norm erfllen.
Ich hatte als Vorgngermodell zuletzt unter anderem die Apeman H45 welche in mehreren Vergleichstest 2019-2020 als Preis-Leistungssieger hervorgegangen war bei den Cams unter 100 Euro sowie die Victure HC300 im Einsatz.
Diese hatte ich seit Januar diesen Jahres im Einsatz, hatte hier aber immer wieder das Problem, dass sie zuviel an den Batterien bzw. den Akkus gezogen hat (egal ob Marke oder No Name). Die Trail Cam von Vanbar war preislich aufgrund der guten Spezifikationen und des ordentlichen Zubehrs sehr attraktiv und ist meiner Meinung nach gerade bei Tagaufnahmen Qualitativ hnlich dem Modell von Aldi aus 2019 gestrickt und funktioniert bis dato ohne “Dauerzug” an den Batterien also fr den Otto-Normal-Nutzer sehr gut.
Aufnahmequalitt:
Beste Ergebnisse erzielt man hier bei einem Aufnahmeabstand von ca. 6-8 Metern Unterschiede ergeben sich letztlich nach meiner Beobachtung lediglich in der Anwendung bzw. der Einstellung der Kameras (Auslsungen etc.) sowie der verbauten LED’s (hier LOW Glow) und der Sensorik.
Diese ist das Herzstck einer jeder brauchbaren Trail Cam. Wichtig noch zu wissen, dass bei einer Low-Glow-Aufnahme lediglich ein schwaches rotes Licht im Bereich der LED entsteht, welches Tiere nicht aufschrecken lsst!
Die fr mich ansonsten wichtigen Parameter sind:
– das die Kamera dank Infrarot-LEDs primr tagsber sekundr aber auch hin und wieder Nachts aufnehmen kann
– der Blitz der Wildkamera tatschlich Low Glow (nicht zu verwechseln mit Dark Glow) ist
– die Kamera ohne externe Stromversorgung betrieben werden kann
– das Gehuse auch wirklich wetterfest ist
– speziell die Tagaufnahmen Fotocharakter aufweisen (bei Nachtaufnahmen muss man in der Preisklasse einfach Abstriche hinnehmen)
– ein vernnftiges Energiemanagement, sprich das die Batterien nicht innerhalb weniger Tage leer geaugt werden
Alle vorgenannten Parameter werden durch die, sehr sauber verarbeitete und auch in der Menfhrung (abgesehen vonm Deutsch-Englisch-Mix) und anschlieenden Sicherung des Bildmaterials bei direktem Anschluss an den PC, angebotene Kamera erfllt.
Die Kamera verfgt ber das eher standardisierte Arsenal an Zubehr macht aber alles auch einen haptisch sehr soliden Eindruck. Die Mglichkeit die Cam auf einem Stativ zu positionieren ist gegeben, aber mittlerweile bei den meisten Modellen am Markt standardisiert und wird auch vorausgesetzt.
Einzig die Nachtaufnahmen wirken teilweise recht “grobkrnig” was die Cam bei einem hheren Kaufpreis letztlich die Bestnote kosten wrde, fr meine Zwecke reicht es dennoch absolut aus und aufgrund des wirklich guten Nutzermens, welches innerhalb von wenigen Minuten verinnerlicht ist, sehe ich ber diesen Makel hinweg.
Die Nachtaufnahmen knnen in einem Radius von geschtzten 5-6 Meter noch als gut bezeichnet werden, hierber hinaus verlieren sie mit jedem weiteren Meter sukzessiv an Schrfe.
Fazit:
Eine fr diese Preisklasse sehr ordentliche Trail Cam, die smtliche Erfordernisse erfllt die ich bentige. Tagaufnahmen sind hervorragender Natur, die Nachtaufnahmen im Nahbereich bis maximal 8 Meter “ausdruckbar” und zum Vorzeigen geeignet. Hierber hinaus lediglich als Kontrollbild zur einfachen Visualisierung nchtlicher Besucher geeignet. Fr den Preis von unter 90 Euro ein echter Glcksgriff gewesen.
